Book of Esther Part 3 – Salvation is of the Jews

Esther Part 3 – Salvation is of the Jews

We continue in the story of Esther starting at the second day of the banquet of wine. We have seen Esther requesting the king and Haman to come to a banquet and then she requests the king and Haman to come to a banquet the next day which she is preparing for them. In a three process of judgement, two signifies coming out of her my people.

Banquet

The banquet reveals Esther’s plan to save her people from destruction by Haman’s decree. Esther as a type of God’s elect, is dying daily. “Dying daily” is being “killed all day long”, and it is “lying dead in the streets of that great city where also our Lord was crucified.”

Rom 8:36 As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.

1Co 15:31 I protest by your rejoicing which I have in Christ Jesus our Lord, I die daily.

Est 7:1 So the king and Haman came to banquet with Esther the queen.

Est 7:2 And the king said again unto Esther on the second day at the banquet of wine,  What is thy petition, queen Esther? and it shall be granted thee: and what is thy  request? and it shall be performed, even to the half of the kingdom.

A humble heart

Esther, as a type of Christ’s Bride, is humble when she comes before the king to plead  for her life and the lives of her people. Esther is seeking judgement.

Pro 11:2 When pride cometh, then cometh shame: but with the lowly [humbled] is wisdom.

A humble heart is a soft heart that is dead too self and the pulls of this world within and without. A humble heart is found in someone that is living a crucified life with Christ dying daily and accepting of the righteous judgments of the Lord. The pride of life and our confidence in the flesh is burned out of us when we love mercy and seek judgment. We begin to walk humbly when we truly offer ourselves up to our fellow man as a living sacrifice freely giving and expecting nothing in return.

Rom 12:1 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service (doing that which is our duty).

Luk 17:10 So likewise ye, when ye shall have done all those things which are commanded you, say, We are unprofitable servants: we have done that which was our duty to do.

The law, typified by Haman, is only the schoolmaster bringing us to Christ, we are  being sold for bondwomen and bondmen being under the law.

Est 7:3 Then Esther the queen answered and said, If I have found favour in thy sight, O  king, and if it please the king, let my life be given me at my petition, and my people at  my request:

Est 7:4 For we are sold, I and my people, to be destroyed, to be slain, and to perish. But  if we had been sold for bondmen and bondwomen, I had held my tongue, although the  enemy could not countervail the king’s damage.

The end goal however is Christ. We are being saved by grace through faith (Eph  2:8). We pray the Lord does not pass us by.

Gal 4:30 Nevertheless what saith the scripture? Cast out the bondwoman and her son:  for the son of the bondwoman shall not be heir with the son of the freewoman.  Gal 4:31 So then, brethren, we are not children of the bondwoman, but of the free.

Exo 33:13 Now therefore, I pray thee, if I have found grace in thy sight, shew me now thy way, that I may know thee, that I may find grace in thy sight: and consider that this nation is thy people.

Gen 18:3 And said, My Lord, if now I have found favour in thy sight, pass not away, I pray thee, from thy servant:

The king’s wrath

The king’s decision is for Esther’s request, because of her humility shown before the king:

2Ch 34:27 Because thine heart was tender, and thou didst humble thyself before God, when thou heardest his words against this place, and against the inhabitants thereof, and humbledst thyself before me, and didst rend thy clothes, and weep before me; I have even heard thee also, saith the LORD.

Jas 4:10 Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he shall lift you up.

Est 7:5 Then the king Ahasuerus answered and said unto Esther the queen, Who is he,  and where is he, that durst presume in his heart to do so?

Est 7:6 And Esther said, The adversary and enemy is this wicked Haman. Then  Haman was afraid before the king and the queen.

Godly jealousy

The king is good to Esther in type and shadow is what the Lord “being good” to us really means. The Lord bringing tender mercies to us is all about the old man being destroyed in His jealousy and wrath so the new man is coming forth.

Psa 145:9 The LORD is good to all: and his tender mercies are over all his works.

Psa 119:156 Great are thy tender mercies, O LORD: quicken me according to thy judgments.

Heb 12:6 For whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth, and scourgeth every son whom he receiveth.

Rom 5:20 Moreover the law entered, that the offence might abound. But where sin abounded, grace did much more abound:

Est 7:7 And the king arising from the banquet of wine in his wrath went into the palace  garden: and Haman stood up to make request for his life to Esther the queen; for he  saw that there was evil determined against him by the king.

Haman, the Pharisee, within us all, hinders us to go unto the kingdom of God and  hinders others too. It defiles. It is the leaven of hypocrisy, saying and not doing.

Est 7:8 Then the king returned out of the palace garden into the place of the banquet of  wine; and Haman was fallen upon the bed whereon Esther was. Then said the king,  Will he force the queen also before me in the house? As the word went out of the king’s  mouth, they covered Haman’s face.

Luk 11:52 Woe unto you, lawyers! for ye have taken away the key of knowledge: ye  entered not in yourselves, and them that were entering in ye hindered.

Luk 11:53 And as he said these things unto them, the scribes and the Pharisees began to  urge him vehemently, and to provoke him to speak of many things:

Haman’s destruction is swift. The Lords destroys the wicked with the brightness of His  coming (2Th 2:8).

Est 7:9 And Harbonah, one of the chamberlains, said before the king, Behold also, the  gallows fifty cubits high, which Haman had made for Mordecai, who had spoken good  for the king, standeth in the house of Haman. Then the king said, Hang him thereon.

Est 7:10 So they hanged Haman on the gallows that he had prepared for Mordecai.  Then was the king’s wrath pacified.

Num 16:30 But if the LORD make a new thing, and the earth open her mouth, and  swallow them up, with all that appertain unto them, and they go down quick into the  pit; then ye shall understand that these men have provoked the LORD.

The law being changed

Est 8:1 On that day did the king Ahasuerus give the house of Haman the Jews’ enemy  unto Esther the queen. And Mordecai came before the king; for Esther had told what  he was unto her.

Est 8:2 And the king took off his ring, which he had taken from Haman, and gave it  unto Mordecai. And Esther set Mordecai over the house of Haman.

Heb 7:12 For the priesthood being changed, there is made of necessity a change also of  the law.

Heb 7:18 For there is verily a disannulling of the commandment going before for the  weakness and unprofitableness thereof.

Heb 7:19 For the law made nothing perfect, but the bringing in of a better hope did; by  the which we draw nigh unto God.

Saviors arise

God’s elect are His channel through which He intends to bring all men to Himself, and that includes bringing all Israel to himself when “the fullness of the Gentiles is come in:

Eze 16:55 When thy sisters, Sodom and her daughters, shall return to their former estate, and Samaria and her daughters shall return to their former estate, then thou and thy daughters shall return to your former estate.

Rom 11:32  For God hath concluded them all in unbelief, that he might have mercy upon all.

The saviours are the people of God, the Lord is raising up through whom the greater works of salvation via judgment will be accomplished.

Oba 1:21  And saviours shall come up on mount Zion to judge the mount of Esau; and the kingdom shall be the LORD’S.

Joh 14:12  Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.

Salvation is accomplished by the Spiritual Jews, God’s very Elect in this age and in the lake of fire to come.

Joh 4:22  Ye worship ye know not what: we know what we worship: for salvation is of the Jews.

Continuing reading the story ….

Est 8:3 And Esther spake yet again before the king, and fell down at his feet, and  besought him with tears to put away the mischief of Haman the Agagite, and his  device that he had devised against the Jews.

Est 8:4 Then the king held out the golden sceptre toward Esther. So Esther arose, and  stood before the king,

Est 8:5 And said, If it please the king, and if I have found favour in his sight, and the  thing seem right before the king, and I be pleasing in his eyes, let it be written to  reverse the letters devised by Haman the son of Hammedatha the Agagite, which he  wrote to destroy the Jews which are in all the king’s provinces:

Est 8:6 For how can I endure to see the evil that shall come unto my people? or how  can I endure to see the destruction of my kindred?

Est 8:7 Then the king Ahasuerus said unto Esther the queen and to Mordecai the Jew,  Behold, I have given Esther the house of Haman, and him they have hanged upon the  gallows, because he laid his hand upon the Jews.

Esther, in type and shadow, is the saviour of her people as God sends Christ to be the savior of this world, so also Christ sends His Christ to be “saviors.”

Joh 20:21 Then said Jesus to them again, Peace [be] unto you: as my Father hath sent me, even so send I you.

Sealed with the king’s ring

As Christ is the fullness of His Father, so too, is the church, which is His body, the fullness of Him [Christ]. Christ’s inheritance is in His saints. Without them, by God’s decree, Christ has no inheritance. Mordecai and Esther in type and shadow, are being used by the king to do his will:

Eph 1:18 The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints,

Est 8:8 Write ye also for the Jews, as it liketh you, in the king’s name, and seal it with  the king’s ring: for the writing which is written in the king’s name, and sealed with the  king’s ring, may no man reverse.

The Lord makes known His manifold wisdom through the  Church

Eph 3:10 To the intent that now unto the principalities and powers in heavenly places  might be known by the church the manifold wisdom of God,

Eph 3:11 According to the eternal purpose which he purposed in Christ Jesus our Lord:

Eph 3:12 In whom we have boldness and access with confidence by the faith of him.

Est 8:9 Then were the king’s scribes called at that time in the third month, that is, the  month Sivan, on the three and twentieth day thereof; and it was written according to  all that Mordecai commanded unto the Jews, and to the lieutenants, and the deputies  and rulers of the provinces which are from India unto Ethiopia, an hundred twenty  and seven provinces, unto every province according to the writing thereof, and unto  every people after their language, and to the Jews according to their writing, and  according to their language.

Est 8:10 And he wrote in the king Ahasuerus’ name, and sealed it with the king’s ring,  and sent letters by posts on horseback, and riders on mules, camels, and young  dromedaries:

Esther demonstrates how to be a yielded vessel.  She exercised the patience required to obey God, she was obedient, which produced the fruit of salvation of her people.

Esther pleases her husband

When and if we are prisoners of Christ (with patience, long suffering), we feel and act the same way as the servant towards his master. We seek to please our Husband, as His virtuous wife, and that reflects in how we act day in and day out.

Neh 2:5 And I said unto the king, If it please H2895 the king, and if thy servant have found favour in thy sight, that thou wouldest send me unto Judah, unto the city of my fathers’ sepulchres, that I may build it.

Est 1:19 If it please H2895 the king, let there go a royal commandment from him, and let it be written among the laws of the Persians and the Medes, that it be not altered, That Vashti come no more before king Ahasuerus; and let the king give her royal estate unto another that is better than she.

Est 7:3 Then Esther the queen answered and said, If I have found favour in thy sight, O king, and if it please H2895 the king, let my life be given me at my petition, and my people at my request:

Put away the wicked one

All the people is hearing…… the Jews are to be ready against that day to avenge  themselves on their enemies.

Act 1:8 But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.

Est 8:11 Wherein the king granted the Jews which were in every city to gather  themselves together, and to stand for their life, to destroy, to slay, and to cause to  perish, all the power of the people and province that would assault them, both little  ones and women, and to take the spoil of them for a prey,

Est 8:12 Upon one day in all the provinces of king Ahasuerus, namely, upon the  thirteenth day of the twelfth month, which is the month Adar.

Est 8:13 The copy of the writing for a commandment to be given in every province was  published unto all people, and that the Jews should be ready against that day to  avenge themselves on their enemies.

Est 8:14 So the posts that rode upon mules and camels went out, being hastened and  pressed on by the king’s commandment. And the decree was given at Shushan the  palace.

A crown of gold

Est 8:15 And Mordecai went out from the presence of the king in royal apparel of blue  and white, and with a great crown of gold, and with a garment of fine linen and  purple: and the city of Shushan rejoiced and was glad.

We are striving for an incorruptible crown.

1Co 9:25 And every man that striveth for the mastery is temperate in all things. Now they do it to obtain a corruptible crown; but we an incorruptible.

Mordecai’s clothing represents royal apparel blue (heavenly) and white, and a garment of fine linen (righteousness of the saints) and purple (royalty).

Eze 44:16 They shall enter into my sanctuary, and they shall come near to my table, to minister unto me, and they shall keep my charge.

Eze 44:17 And it shall come to pass, that when they enter in at the gates of the inner court, they shall be clothed with linen garments; and no wool shall come upon them, whiles they minister in the gates of the inner court, and within.

There is a time when we rejoice in the Truth of the Word.

Est 8:16 The Jews had light, and gladness, and joy, and honour.

Est 8:17 And in every province, and in every city, whithersoever the king’s  commandment and his decree came, the Jews had joy and gladness, a feast and a good  day. And many of the people of the land became Jews; for the fear of the Jews fell upon  them.

Act 2:43 And fear came upon every soul: and many wonders and signs were done by  the apostles.

Act 2:44 And all that believed were together, and had all things common;

Act 2:45 And sold their possessions and goods, and parted them to all men, as every  man had need.

Act 2:46 And they, continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread  from house to house, did eat their meat with gladness and singleness of heart,  Act 2:47 Praising God, and having favour with all the people. And the Lord added to  the church daily such as should be saved.

Mordecai waxes greater

Est 9:1 Now in the twelfth month, that is, the month Adar, on the thirteenth day of the  same, when the king’s commandment and his decree drew near to be put in execution,  in the day that the enemies of the Jews hoped to have power over them, (though it was  turned to the contrary, that the Jews had rule over them that hated them;)

Est 9:2 The Jews gathered themselves together in their cities throughout all the  provinces of the king Ahasuerus, to lay hand on such as sought their hurt: and no man  could withstand them; for the fear of them fell upon all people.

Est 9:3 And all the rulers of the provinces, and the lieutenants, and the deputies, and  officers of the king, helped the Jews; because the fear of Mordecai fell upon them.

Est 9:4 For Mordecai was great in the king’s house, and his fame went out throughout  all the provinces: for this man Mordecai waxed greater and greater.

Jos 3:7 And the LORD said unto Joshua, This day will I begin to magnify thee in the sight of all Israel, that they may know that, as I was with Moses, so I will be with thee.

Zec 8:12 For the seed shall be prosperous; the vine shall give her fruit, and the ground  shall give her increase, and the heavens shall give their dew; and I will cause the  remnant of this people to possess all these things.

Est 9:5 Thus the Jews smote all their enemies with the stroke of the sword, and  slaughter, and destruction, and did what they would unto those that hated them.

Est 9:6 And in Shushan the palace the Jews slew and destroyed five hundred men.

Est 9:7 And Parshandatha, and Dalphon, and Aspatha,

Est 9:8 And Poratha, and Adalia, and Aridatha,

Est 9:9 And Parmashta, and Arisai, and Aridai, and Vajezatha,

The ten sons of Haman hanged

Est 9:10 The ten sons of Haman the son of Hammedatha, the enemy of the Jews, slew  they; but on the spoil laid they not their hand.

Est 9:11 On that day the number of those that were slain in Shushan the palace was  brought before the king.

Est 9:12 And the king said unto Esther the queen, The Jews have slain and destroyed  five hundred men in Shushan the palace, and the ten sons of Haman; what have they  done in the rest of the king’s provinces? now what is thy petition? and it shall be  granted thee: or what is thy request further? and it shall be done.

Est 9:13 Then said Esther, If it please the king, let it be granted to the Jews which are  in Shushan to do tomorrow also according unto this day’s decree, and let Haman’s ten  sons be hanged upon the gallows.

Est 9:14 And the king commanded it so to be done: and the decree was given at  Shushan; and they hanged Haman’s ten sons.

The flesh has to go or better said:

Rom 7:4 Wherefore, my brethren, ye also are become dead to the law by the body of  Christ; that ye should be married to another, even to him who is raised from the dead,  that we should bring forth fruit unto God.

Rom 7:5 For when we were in the flesh, the motions of sins, which were by the law, did  work in our members to bring forth fruit unto death.

Rom 7:6 But now we are delivered from the law, that being dead wherein we were  held; that we should serve in newness of spirit, and not in the oldness of the letter.

The Jews obtain salvation through Esther and Mordecai

Let us read the story first:

Est 9:15 For the Jews that were in Shushan gathered themselves together on the  fourteenth day also of the month Adar, and slew three hundred men at Shushan; but  on the prey they laid not their hand.

Est 9:16 But the other Jews that were in the king’s provinces gathered themselves  together, and stood for their lives, and had rest from their enemies, and slew of their  foes seventy and five thousand, but they laid not their hands on the prey,

Est 9:17 On the thirteenth day of the month Adar; and on the fourteenth day of the  same rested they, and made it a day of feasting and gladness.

Est 9:18 But the Jews that were at Shushan assembled together on the thirteenth day  thereof, and on the fourteenth thereof; and on the fifteenth day of the same they rested,  and made it a day of feasting and gladness.

Est 9:19 Therefore the Jews of the villages, that dwelt in the unwalled towns, made the  fourteenth day of the month Adar a day of gladness and feasting, and a good day, and  of sending portions one to another.

Est 9:20 And Mordecai wrote these things, and sent letters unto all the Jews that were  in all the provinces of the king Ahasuerus, both nigh and far,

Est 9:21 To stablish this among them, that they should keep the fourteenth day of the  month Adar, and the fifteenth day of the same, yearly,

Est 9:22 As the days wherein the Jews rested from their enemies, and the month which  was turned unto them from sorrow to joy, and from mourning into a good day: that  they should make them days of feasting and joy, and of sending portions one to  another, and gifts to the poor.

Est 9:23 And the Jews undertook to do as they had begun, and as Mordecai had  written unto them;

Est 9:24 Because Haman the son of Hammedatha, the Agagite, the enemy of all the  Jews, had devised against the Jews to destroy them, and had cast Pur, that is, the lot,  to consume them, and to destroy them;

Est 9:25 But when Esther came before the king, he commanded by letters that his  wicked device, which he devised against the Jews, should return upon his own head,  and that he and his sons should be hanged on the gallows.

Est 9:26 Wherefore they called these days Purim after the name of Pur. Therefore for  all the words of this letter, and of that which they had seen concerning this matter, and  which had come unto them,

Est 9:27 The Jews ordained, and took upon them, and upon their seed, and upon all  such as joined themselves unto them, so as it should not fail, that they would keep these  two days according to their writing, and according to their appointed time every year;

Est 9:28 And that these days should be remembered and kept throughout every  generation, every family, every province, and every city; and that these days of Purim  should not fail from among the Jews, nor the memorial of them perish from their seed.

Est 9:29 Then Esther the queen, the daughter of Abihail, and Mordecai the Jew, wrote  with all authority, to confirm this second letter of Purim.

Est 9:30 And he sent the letters unto all the Jews, to the hundred twenty and seven  provinces of the kingdom of Ahasuerus, with words of peace and truth,

Est 9:31 To confirm these days of Purim in their times appointed, according as  Mordecai the Jew and Esther the queen had enjoined them, and as they had decreed  for themselves and for their seed, the matters of the fastings and their cry.

Est 9:32 And the decree of Esther confirmed these matters of Purim; and it was  written in the book.

Est 10:1 And the king Ahasuerus laid a tribute upon the land, and upon the isles of the  sea.

Est 10:2 And all the acts of his power and of his might, and the declaration of the  greatness of Mordecai, whereunto the king advanced him, are they not written in the  book of the chronicles of the kings of Media and Persia?

Est 10:3 For Mordecai the Jew was next unto king Ahasuerus, and great among the  Jews, and accepted of the multitude of his brethren, seeking the wealth of his people,  and speaking peace to all his seed.

Summary

This story ends in the salvation of the Jews and the destruction of their enemies who would have destroyed them. This brings us to the question of how the kingdoms of this world will be given over to the firstfruits unto God and to the Lamb, who is and will be ruling the earth for “a thousand years”. These events in the book of Esther, are types and shadows and happened and are written for our admonition (1Co 10:11).

The story of Esther and Mordecai symbolizes the destruction of the enemies of God’s elect who wants to destroy us. In this study we focus on the within and we know there will be a without at the appointed times. All of these events foreshadow in some way what is taking place before we are being given our rulership of the kingdoms of this world just as Mordecai and Esther were given dominion over all the provinces of the Medo-Persian empire, after destroying those who would destroy them. Mordecai and Esther, as types of us, are separated from Christ first by Vashti and then by Haman. Both symbolize the enemies of the cross of Christ.

Php 3:18 (For many walk, of whom I have told you often, and now tell you even weeping, that they are the enemies of the cross of Christ:

Php 3:19 Whose end is destruction, whose God is their belly, and whose glory is in their shame, who mind earthly things).

This is what we are told happens at that time when the kingdoms of this world… become the kingdoms of our Lord and His Christ within and without in its seasons.

Rev 11:1 And there was given me a reed like unto a rod: and the angel stood, saying, Rise, and measure the temple of God, and the altar, and them that worship therein.

Rev 11:2 But the court which is without the temple leave out, and measure it not; for it is given unto the Gentiles: and the holy city shall they tread under foot forty and two months. [Luk 21:24 “…until the times of the Gentiles be fulfilled. “]

Rev 11:3 And I will give power unto my two witnesses, and they shall prophesy a thousand two hundred and threescore days, clothed in sackcloth.

Rev 11:4 These are the two olive trees, and the two candlesticks standing before the God of the earth.

Rev 11:5 And if any man will hurt them, fire proceedeth out of their mouth, and devoureth their enemies: and if any man will hurt them, he must in this manner be killed.

It is only after God’s elect (Esther) come to be favored by the powers that be (king Ahasuerus), that the ten horns (Haman) makes war with the Lamb and are being destroyed by the Lamb (Rev 17:14). Haman is promoted by the king after the rejection of Vashti. Haman, as the Pharisee, is the enemy of the Jews. We are being hated and threatened for our lives within before we are being given to destroy our enemies. It is “the Lord and His Christ” who are typified by Mordecai and the people of Esther who are being slated for destruction by our enemies. We are naturally enemies of Christ because the carnal mind is not able to be subject to Christ and is being created in vanity.

As a type of Christ, Esther lays down her life for her people by appearing before the king without first being given a summons from the king and typifies our being willing to be “crucified with Christ” even as our enemies are intent upon our destruction.

The deliverance of Mordecai and Esther and the Jews from the gallows of Haman, all typify how we are being given favor of the leaders of this world within and in due time without, before we are being delivered from the hands of the ten horns of that same beast. This is just saying we first eat of the tree of good and evil before we eat of the tree of Life. The kingdoms of this world supernaturally become the kingdoms of our Lord and His Christ as Christ and His angels destroys the old man. Haman is hanged on the same gallows he had intended for Mordecai……. Out of your own mouth you will be judged your wicked servant…. (Luk 19:22).

In every case our salvation comes only after it becomes abundantly evident that the enemy is winning…… the law is not for a righteous man but for murderers …… and it is all intended to convey to us that we are being drafted by God and are not seeking to be offered up, and when we are disobedient when slaying the Lord, we, are not the winners but the losers, and that the Lord and us was and are being saved from death… in that He feared and we are being taught to fear Him.

Heb 5:7 Who in the days of his flesh, when he had offered up prayers and supplications with strong crying and tears unto him that was able to save him from death, and was heard in that he feared;

Esther as type is a shadow of Christ and His Christ who say the same thing under the same circumstances:

Luk 22:42 Saying, Father, if thou be willing, remove this cup from me: nevertheless not my will, but thine, be done.

It is very interesting that it is “the king” who orders both the destruction and the salvation of the Lord’s people. It is at the banquet that Esther is promised by the king to give her request “to the half of [his] kingdom”. Esther, as the type of God’s elect, devises a means of overcoming the impossible task of reversing the effect of the king’s proclamation to destroy all the Jews in all of his 127 provinces (Est 1:1). These 127 provinces typify “the nations in the four quarters of the earth” over whom God’s elect are granted to rule for a thousand years:

Rev 2:26 And he that overcometh, and keepeth my works unto the end, to him will I give power over the nations:

Rev 2:27 And he shall rule them with a rod of iron; as the vessels of a potter shall they be broken to shivers: even as I received of my Father.

This “broken to shivers” prophecy was fulfilled in type when the Jews were given to destroy all their enemies throughout the entire 127 provinces of the Medo-Persian empire (Est 9:1-4). This story, along with the story of Joseph and the story of Daniel and Shadrach, Meshech and Abednego, gives us the principles by which Christ is supernaturally making “the kingdoms of this world to become the kingdoms of our Lord and His Christ”. He troubles the powers that be, and He strikes them with a fear that cause us to favor His Word to the point we see Christ and His Christ as our only salvation. His is the power which gives men their thoughts, and with that power He is capable of working all things after the counsel of His own will (Eph 1:11).

Isa 66:15 For, behold, the LORD will come with fire, and with his chariots like a whirlwind, to render his anger with fury, and his rebuke with flames of fire.

Isa 66:16  For by fire and by his sword will the LORD plead with all flesh: and the slain of the LORD shall be many.

Isa 66:17  They that sanctify themselves, and purify themselves in the gardens behind one tree in the midst, eating swine’s flesh, and the abomination, and the mouse, [all the abominable false doctrines of men] shall be consumed together, saith the LORD.

Isa 66:18  For I know their works and their thoughts: it shall come, that I will gather all nations and tongues; and they shall come, and see my glory.

Luk 12:32 Fear not, little flock; for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the  kingdom.

Luk 1:54 He hath holpen his servant Israel, in remembrance of his mercy; Psa 112:6 Surely, he shall not be moved forever: the righteous shall be in everlasting remembrance.

Ecc 7:8 Better is the end of a thing than the beginning thereof: and the patient in spirit is better than the proud in spirit

And lastly, looking at the word Pur, Purim, reveals the meaning of a broken piece.

H6332 פּוּר    פּוּרים    פּרים pûr  pûrı̂ym  pûrı̂ym poor, poo-reem’, poo-reem’ From H6331; a lot (as by means of a broken piece): – Pur, Purim.

This is the last of the five visions given to Amos.  The number five and its multiples thereof in the Bible are used to convey grace through faith (Eph 2:8), the very means by which we are saved.  The time of the end that was far off (two years) in Amos 1:1 is now at hand.  The first vessel marred in the Potter’s hand (Jer 18:4) is now being remade by the destruction of the old man. Here is the vision and our verses for today.

Amo 9:1  I saw the Lord standing upon the altar: and he said, Smite the lintel of the door, that the posts may shake: and cut them in the head, all of them; and I will slay the last of them with the sword: he that fleeth of them shall not flee away, and he that escapeth of them shall not be delivered.

Amo 9:2  Though they dig into hell, thence shall mine hand take them; though they climb up to heaven, thence will I bring them down:

Amo 9:3  And though they hide themselves in the top of Carmel, I will search and take them out thence; and though they be hid from my sight in the bottom of the sea, thence will I command the serpent, and he shall bite them:

Amo 9:4  And though they go into captivity before their enemies, thence will I command the sword, and it shall slay them: and I will set mine eyes upon them for evil, and not for good.

Amo 9:5  And the Lord GOD of hosts is he that toucheth the land, and it shall melt, and all that dwell therein shall mourn: and it shall rise up wholly like a flood; and shall be drowned, as by the flood of Egypt.

Amo 9:6  It is he that buildeth his stories in the heaven, and hath founded his troop in the earth; he that calleth for the waters of the sea, and poureth them out upon the face of the earth: The LORD is his name.

Amo 9:7  Are ye not as children of the Ethiopians unto me, O children of Israel? saith the LORD. Have not I brought up Israel out of the land of Egypt? and the Philistines from Caphtor, and the Syrians from Kir?

Amo 9:8  Behold, the eyes of the Lord GOD are upon the sinful kingdom, and I will destroy it from off the face of the earth; saving that I will not utterly destroy the house of Jacob, saith the LORD.

This vision brought a pivotal Old Testament event to remembrance regarding the Passover.   The Passover was linked to the 10th and final plague that come to Egypt to free the Jews from their bondage (salvation).  That story like all the OT was type and shadow of events we live out in our day of the Lord.

Exo 12:15 Seven days shall ye eat unleavened bread; even the first day ye shall put away leaven out of your houses: for whosoever eateth leavened bread from the first day until the seventh day, that soul shall be cut off from Israel.

Exo 12:21 Then Moses called for all the elders of Israel, and said unto them, Draw out and take you a lamb according to your families, and kill the passover.

Exo 12:22 And ye shall take a bunch of hyssop, and dip it in the blood that is in the bason, and strike the lintel and the two side posts with the blood that is in the bason; and none of you shall go out at the door of his house until the morning.

Smiting the knop or lintel and cutting the heads symbolizes laying down our lives for Christ. It is only through death, by the Lord slaying “the last of them by the sword” that the devil is destroyed and we are freed from our sin and possess eternal life as we henceforth die daily with Christ.

Heb 2:14 Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil;

Heb 2:15 And deliver them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage.

It is the death of the first born, the first Adam, the man of sin which is still Jesus Christ who is the first and the last that precipitates our keeping of the Passover feast.

Rev 1:8 I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty.

Col 1:15 Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature:

Eating this feast becomes a lifelong venture as we continue eating the bread and body of Jesus Christ.  This is the old man being fed with judgment (Eze 34:16) which is our suffering the many trials and tribulations that are saving us as we endure.  It is a long arduous process called the narrow way and as the sum of the Word shows, there are many experiences, victories and defeats as we grow into maturity.

1Co 11:24 And when he had given thanks, he brake it, and said, Take, eat: this is my body, which is broken for you: this do in remembrance of me.

1Co 11:25 After the same manner also he took the cup, when he had supped, saying, This cup is the new testament in my blood: this do ye, as oft as ye drink it, in remembrance of me.

Unlike the first coming of Christ, when one of the seven heads of our beast is wounded and is quickly healed and we continue to worship ourselves (Rev 13:3-4); in the second coming, there will be no healing and no escape of the man of sin.  Christ tells us we shall certainly drink of the cup of His wrath and that time is now at hand (Jer 25:28).

The beast, false prophet and the devil in all of us will be cast into the fire of God’s Word and be consumed (Heb 12:29, Rev 19:10, Rev 20:10).  We cannot run or hide from the Lord.  The very essence of our life and our being is all in Jesus Christ once we know and mature into these deep truths.

Act 17:28 For in him we live, and move, and have our being; as certain also of your own poets have said, For we are also his offspring.

Isa 64:8 But now, O LORD, thou art our father; we are the clay, and thou our potter; and we all are the work of thy hand.

Contrary to the lies of orthodoxy and their belief in free will, even evil is all the Lord’s work in His people (Isa 63:17, Pro 16:4, Jer 10:23, Isa 45:7, etc.).  Whether we live or die, are at rest or in torment, obeying or disobeying, it’s all part of the days written for our lives (Psa 139:16).

Psa 139:7 Whither shall I go from thy spirit? or whither shall I flee from thy presence?

Psa 139:8 If I ascend up into heaven, thou art there: if I make my bed in hell, behold, thou art there.

Judgment is a process of learning to walk by faith and not by sight.  It requires our faith to be tried with scourging grace which is how we are LEARNING righteousness (Isa 26:9) by BUYING the truth which is the pure gold tried in the fire (Rev 3:18).  Our old man is clever in hiding behind the outward holiness and our many good works.  But the Lord knows and tries the hearts of men and knows who is worshipping in Spirit and in truth and who is still bowing down to the gods of Carmel and Baal.

Jer 17:10 I the LORD search the heart, I try the reins, even to give every man according to his ways, and according to the fruit of his doings.

1Sa 16:7 But the LORD said unto Samuel, Look not on his countenance, or on the height of his stature; because I have refused him: for the LORD seeth not as man seeth; for man looketh on the outward appearance, but the LORD looketh on the heart.

Jas 4:8  Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double minded.

The carnal mind will always deny the power of the Lord and vastly underestimate what being Lord of all or God Almighty means.  But when judgment is come, the “grace meter” of Romans 5:20 will always be with us and will teach us the lessons of reaping and sowing, the sovereignty of God and His every commandment.  Righteousness will reign as a result in due time.

Rom 5:20 Moreover the law entered, that the offence might abound. But where sin abounded, grace did much more abound:

Rom 5:21 That as sin hath reigned unto death, even so might grace reign through righteousness unto eternal life by Jesus Christ our Lord.

Even when we are led deep into the hidden sins of the flesh represented by the bottom of the sea, the great grasshoppers of the Amos 7 vision are revealed in our lives.  All things will be brought to the light.  The lamp within us, the WORD that is Jesus Christ will reveal it.

Luk 8:17 For nothing is secret, that shall not be made manifest; neither any hid, that shall not be known and come abroad.

Being oppressed of the devil is our being bitten by the serpent.  The adversary, contrary to the lies of the Babylonian churches of men that believe Satan is running around lose defying the will of God Almighty; is actual an important instrument of the Lord created for the specific purpose of destroying our flesh and bringing in salvation.

Isa 54:16 Behold, I have created the smith that bloweth the coals in the fire, and that bringeth forth an instrument for his work; and I have created the waster to destroy.

Job 26:13 By his spirit he hath garnished the heavens; his hand hath formed the crooked serpent.

The serpent is the Lord’s servant doing exactly what the Lord commands as the destruction of Job and our old way of life exemplifies.  The Lord sends Satan to bite us.

Job 1:12 And the LORD said unto Satan, Behold, all that he hath is in thy power; only upon himself put not forth thine hand. So Satan went forth from the presence of the LORD.

And yet that destruction from Almighty is also known as “fire from God” as the Lord works all things for the greater good (Rom 8:28).

Job 1:16 While he was yet speaking, there came also another, and said, The fire of God is fallen from heaven, and hath burned up the sheep, and the servants, and consumed them; and I only am escaped alone to tell thee.

Job 42:11  Then came there unto him all his brethren, and all his sisters, and all they that had been of his acquaintance before, and did eat bread with him in his house: and they bemoaned him, and comforted him over all the evil that the LORD had brought upon him: every man also gave him a piece of money, and every one an earring of gold.

When the Lord turns us over for the destruction of our flesh He sends the tempter to entice us into sin which gives the Lord the occasion He seeks to chasten us and thereby teach us righteousness.  Allowing leaven into our house and our spiritual food supply is likened to spiritual fornication (worshipping other gods, Baal) and we are commanded to turn the offender over to Satan for the destruction of their flesh so the new man can be saved.

1Co 5:5  To deliver such an one (a fornicator) unto Satan for the destruction of the flesh, that the spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord Jesus.

1Co 5:6  Your glorying is not good. Know ye not that a little leaven leaveneth the whole lump?

Christ comes to save sinners of which we as the Elect know we are the chief (1Ti 1:15, Mat 9:13).  Before we can be healed it is necessary we be oppressed of the devil which is the lot of all mankind who are born carnal and of their father the devil (Joh 8:44).

Act 10:38 How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him.

To be made free we must first go into captivity to the wicked nations that are part of the Lord’s sword.  It from this place of prison that Christ comes to set the captives free and take captivity captive and changes us from slaves to sin to slaves to righteousness (Rom 6:18, Luk 4:18).

Amo 9:4  And though they go into captivity before their enemies, thence will I command the sword, and it shall slay them: and I will set mine eyes upon them for evil, and not for good.

The ends of our carnal age and life of sin comes with a mighty destruction.  The Lord is used the wicked, the evil man within us, and in others to destroy the man of sin in our day of the Lord.

Psa 17:13 Arise, O LORD, disappoint him, cast him down: deliver my soul from the wicked, which is thy sword:

Pro 16:4 The LORD hath made all things for himself: yea, even the wicked for the day of evil.

Evil is a tool in the hands of the Lord.  He creates it (Isa 45:7) and sends it forth (Lam 3:38) into our outward and inward cities (Amo 3:6, Psa 78:49) but uses it all for good.

Ecc 1:13 I applied my heart to inquiring and exploring by wisdom concerning all that is done under the heavens: it is an experience of evil Elohim has given to the sons of humanity to humble them by it.

Jas 1:12 Blessed is the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love him.

Gen 50:20 But as for you, ye thought evil against me; but God meant it unto good, to bring to pass, as it is this day, to save much people alive.

Christ comes suddenly at midnight (1Th 5:3) when we are under strong delusion, when our light is truly darkness (Mat 6:23) and we are not hearing the commandments of the Lord.  We are in for a rude awakening as the Lord comes to melt the land within with a very hot furnace.  There is an adage in business that to go forward we need to first take two steps backward and so it seems in the spiritual as the Lord turns us over to sin to bring about salvation.

We looked at the river of Egypt in Amos #23.  Those waters of the Nile represent the lusts for the world and the pride of life that consume us and gives a jealous Lord the occasion to bring the baptism by fire and vengeance for His Temple that we have defiled.  The sea represents the flesh of mankind which totally consume our earth and culminates with the destruction of our flesh by fire.  The end of the age is precipitated by a spiritual flood as we are overcome by our beast as Satan is released knowing there is only a little time in the day of the Lord.  We are learning by experiencing and failing at first until we get the victory promised.

Rev 11:7 And when they shall have finished their testimony, the beast that ascendeth out of the bottomless pit shall make war against them, and shall overcome them, and kill them.

Rev 13:7 And it (the beast) was given unto him to make war with the saints, and to overcome them: and power was given him over all kindreds, and tongues, and nations.

But the promise of the Lord is we will overcome as we learn and mature in righteousness in our day of judgment.

Gen 49:19 Gad, a troop shall overcome him: but he shall overcome at the last.

Rev 17:14 These shall make war with the Lamb, and the Lamb shall overcome them: for he is Lord of lords, and King of kings: and they that are with him are called, and chosen, and faithful.

The wicked being taken away by a flood is the occasion the Lord seeks to end all flesh.  The desolation of the temple of God, which temple we are, and the appearance of the abomination, our beast, has all been determined in the Lord’s plan.

Dan 9:26 And after threescore and two weeks shall Messiah be cut off, but not for himself: and the people of the prince that shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary; and the end thereof shall be with a flood, and unto the end of the war desolations are determined.

Dan 9:27 And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation (by the devouring fire of judgment), and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate.

Luk 17:27 They did eat, they drank, they married wives, they were given in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, and the flood came, and destroyed them all.

But the flood is followed by fire (the dream is one) that turn the hearts (bring repentance) to all men in the appointed times.

2Pe 3:9 The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.

2Pe 3:10 But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.

The pouring forth of the waters of the sea is the turning us over to Satan for the destruction of our flesh.  Outward this will come to mankind at the end of the Millennium period but we are living these events out now as His Elect upon whom judgment first falls.

Rev 20:7 And when the thousand years are expired, Satan shall be loosed out of his prison,

Rev 20:8 And shall go out to deceive the nations which are in the four quarters of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them together to battle: the number of whom is as the sand of the sea.

Rev 20:9 And they went up on the breadth of the earth, and compassed the camp of the saints about, and the beloved city: and fire came down from God out of heaven, and devoured them.

The Lord is working all things for the good of His Elect.  He is the master builder of the temple made without hands (Act 7:49).  The Lord is building “stories” H4609 in heaven which would be better translated as the Lord building steps (a ladder) in our heavens by the war that is being waged as Spirit and flesh wrestle with one another.

stories, 1  Amo_9:6

Those redeemed from the earth (saved now in this age) are the only ones that are given to sing the new song.  This is only done in the Body of Christ where the throne of mercy and grace is found.

Rev 14:2 And I heard a voice from heaven, as the voice of many waters, and as the voice of a great thunder: and I heard the voice of harpers harping with their harps:

Rev 14:3 And they sung as it were a new song before the throne, and before the four beasts, and the elders: and no man could learn that song but the hundred and forty and four thousand, which were redeemed from the earth.

This new song is also known as a song of Degrees (steps) as we mature as we endure this process of chastening from our loving Father (Heb 12:6).

Psa 134:1 A Song of degrees. Behold, bless ye the LORD, all ye servants of the LORD, which by night stand in the house of the LORD.

Psa 134:2 Lift up your hands in the sanctuary, and bless the LORD.

Psa 134:3 The LORD that made heaven and earth bless thee out of Zion

It is all being done for our sakes (2Co 4:15).  All things are ours (1Co 3:21) as we live out every word, the one event that comes alike for all men (Ecc 9:2) that works righteousness within us.

Amo 9:7  Are ye not as children of the Ethiopians unto me, O children of Israel? saith the LORD. Have not I brought up Israel out of the land of Egypt? and the Philistines from Caphtor, and the Syrians from Kir?

All men come forth as cursed children being born of our father, the devil, before we are remade into the image of the Lord through our trials and suffering (Jer 18:4, Act 14:22).  We are all first a spiritual Ethiopian and incapable of doing anything but evil.

Jer 13:23 Can the Ethiopian change his skin, or the leopard his spots? then may ye also do good, that are accustomed to do evil.

Gen 6:5  And GOD saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.

Ethiopia is the Hebrew word Kush H3568 which is linked to Cush the son of Ham.  Cush was a son of Ham, who was cursed of the Lord and later settled in what is Ethiopia.  All of the Lord’s work in us, be it good or evil, obedience or disobedience, is still His work and we cannot change anything about it.  We must be an Ethiopian first in order to become a son of God in due time.  Cush begat Nimrod and ultimately led (Gen 10:8-10) to the beginning of Babylon (aka the land of Shinar).

The Philistines and the Syrians symbolize the strength and elevation of the flesh and ways of the carnal world.  These are the enemies of God’s people because they snare us into bondage and keep us from following the narrow way.  Yet the Lord tells us here, this is all His doing and the sum of the Word tells us it is for the good of the new man and our salvation.  Coming to fear the Lord and tremble at His Word comes by our growing in understanding that He is the Lord of heaven and our earth.

Dan 4:35 And all the inhabitants of the earth are reputed as nothing: and he doeth according to his will in the army of heaven, and among the inhabitants of the earth: and none can stay his hand, or say unto him, What doest thou?

Isa 46:10 Declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times the things that are not yet done, saying, My counsel shall stand, and I will do all my pleasure:

But all these experiences and events of nations being taken and freed from captivity are for us to live out and thereby learn good and evil as we are being made into mature man in Christ coming all the way out of Babylon.

1Co 10:6 Now these things were our examples, to the intent we should not lust after evil things, as they also lusted.

Knowing who we are in these clay vessels and that all of this is the Lord doing it (Eph 1:11) prepares us for judgment and our later use in judging others.  When judgment is on the house, the eyes of the Lord are upon the sinful kingdom within ourselves, a great destruction is going to bring forth the remnant that is being saved.

Amo 9:8  Behold, the eyes of the Lord GOD are upon the sinful kingdom, and I will destroy it from off the face of the earth; saving that I will not utterly destroy the house of Jacob, saith the LORD

The Body of Christ is the Lord’s Body (Eph 5:30) and it is us who are His eyes that are upon the sinful kingdom within and without ourselves when it is time for that judgment to be measured  out.  The symbolism hidden in the Scriptures reveal “the Christ” and their roles as the instruments of salvation and judgment (Oba 1:21, Mat 19:28, 1Co 6:2, Rev 20:4, etc).

Rev 1:14 His head and his hairs were white like wool, as white as snow; and his eyes were as a flame of fire;

Rev 5:6  And I beheld, and, lo, in the midst of the throne and of the four beasts, and in the midst of the elders, stood a Lamb as it had been slain, having seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven Spirits of God sent forth into all the earth.

But it is God’s two witnesses, His Elect, who are the firstfruits who are then sent into the earth and all its inward and outward nations to do the greater works (Joh 14:12).

Zec 4:10 For who hath despised the day of small things? for they shall rejoice, and shall see the plummet in the hand of Zerubbabel with those seven; they (His Elect) are  the eyes of the LORD, which run to and fro through the whole earth.

Zec 4:11 Then answered I, and said unto him, What are these two olive trees upon the right side of the candlestick and upon the left side thereof?

Zec 4:12 And I answered again, and said unto him, What be these two olive branches which through the two golden pipes empty the golden oil out of themselves?

Zec 4:13 And he answered me and said, Knowest thou not what these be? And I said, No, my lord.

Zec 4:14 Then said he, These are the two anointed ones, that stand by the Lord of the whole earth.

Jesus Christ is come to save sinners and it is through “the Christ” that this work gets done.

Luk 22:29 And I appoint unto you a kingdom, as my Father hath appointed unto me;

Joh 20:21 Then said Jesus to them again, Peace be unto you: as my Father hath sent me, even so send I you.

The sinful kingdom within and without is destroyed in its time and only the remnant of Jacob is being saved and further refined through the fire that is God’s Word.  The acceptable sacrifice to the Lord is a laid down life submitted to Jesus Christ, the Living Word.

Lev 2:3 And the remnant of the meat offering shall be Aaron’s and his sons’: it is a thing most holy of the offerings of the LORD made by fire.

Rom 9:27 Esaias also crieth concerning Israel, Though the number of the children of Israel be as the sand of the sea, a remnant shall be saved:

Zec 13:8 And it shall come to pass, that in all the land, saith the LORD, two parts therein shall be cut off and die; but the third shall be left therein.

Zec 13:9 And I will bring the third part through the fire, and will refine them as silver is refined, and will try them as gold is tried: they shall call on my name, and I will hear them: I will say, It is my people: and they shall say, The LORD is my God.

Our next and possibly final study in Amos Lord willing, will cover the restoration and rebuilding of Israel which is, was and will be coming forth as we endure the judgment and suffer the afflictions that are reshaping and remolding us from vessels of dishonor into vessels of honor.

Rom 9:21 Hath not the potter power over the clay, of the same lump to make one vessel unto honour, and another unto dishonour?

Rom 9:22 What if God, willing to shew his wrath, and to make his power known, endured with much longsuffering the vessels of wrath fitted to destruction

Nahum Part 11 – The trees of the field clap their hands

by Pete Wilson

This Scripture like all Scripture is about you and me if we are proven to be God’s sons and found faithful in the end (Rev 17:14) i.e. end of our ages in each of our lives. Our carnal instinct is to put these words off on someone else, perhaps on the people still in Orthodoxy or maybe some babes that just came into the fellowship of the saints. But they certainly cannot apply to us we want to believe. But oh yes, they do and we had best remember these Words of fire.

Rev 22:19 And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.

We cannot take away these words of Nahum and not apply them to ourselves. It is only by living them that the man is blessed and brought to life in this age. That is the prize and upwards calling of Christ that comes to so very few. The story of King David as a type of Christ yet in a marred vessel of weak flesh is our story. Like David, we will fall down hard into sin at times in order to be taught the righteousness of Jesus Christ (Isa 26:9). We (you and me and all men) in our own turn, are the man who does these evil things and we are paying the consequences as the wages of all sin is death. Like David found out, having the truth in an outward form of godliness is not enough. We must do the truth in order to have power over sin.

A prophet of the Lord “is, was and will be” sent to God’s Elect and they are speaking words that reveal our rebellion and sin against the Lord. We all claim our righteousness yet still “oppress the poor and kill Christ” as the story of 2 Samuel 12 conveys. Having been told of this egregious sin we become indignant and seek vengeance on the oppressor not aware that we are the man. The Word will prick our hearts in that day which is now on His House.

2Sa 12:7 And Nathan said to David, Thou art the man. Thus saith the LORD God of Israel, I anointed thee king over Israel, and I delivered thee out of the hand of Saul;

Having been given all the gifts of God and possessing our Master’s House in the Body, we still seek to save our life in the flesh and despise the Lord’s commands.

2Sa 12:9 Wherefore hast thou despised the commandment of the LORD, to do evil in his sight? thou hast killed Uriah the Hittite with the sword, and hast taken his wife to be thy wife, and hast slain him with the sword of the children of Ammon.

Yet our day of judgment has come, now the Lord who was delivered through our offences, will be raised again through our justification (Rom 4:25). It is both a wonderful and terrible thing to have a sword abiding on our house. The Lord will use it to raise up evil from within us as Nahum has prophesied to reveal our wickedness to ourselves.

2Sa 12:10 Now therefore the sword shall never depart from thine house; because thou hast despised me, and hast taken the wife of Uriah the Hittite to be thy wife.

2Sa 12:11 Thus saith the LORD, Behold, I will raise up evil against thee out of thine own house, and I will take thy wives before thine eyes, and give them unto thy neighbour, and he shall lie with thy wives in the sight of this sun.

Our justification will be done before the Body of Christ; before the Sun of Righteousness.

2Sa 12:12 For thou didst it secretly: but I will do this thing before all Israel, and before the sun.

We will come to see ourselves as natural reasoning beasts in far greater depravity than we once thought and we will continue to be humbled by and through this process. That first born child of our adulterous fornicating relationship of Truth and carnal lusts must die for the true man child to come forth. We come to see our sin and are given to see our continued fornication with this world WITHIN AND WITHOUT. The great grasshoppers within that kept us from being diligent are removed from our vision and the yet carnal child shall surely die within us.

2Sa 12:14 Howbeit, because by this deed thou hast given great occasion to the enemies of the LORD to blaspheme, the child also that is born unto thee shall surely die.

As horrible as all of this sounds, it is very necessary for us to endure the words of the prophecy of the Book of Nahum. It is the only way we learn good and evil and are brought forward to maturity where our fruit can abide and be used for the Lord. The Lord truly makes free!

Heb 5:1 But strong meat belongeth to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.

Ecc 1:13 I applied my heart to inquiring and exploring by wisdom concerning all that is done under the heavens:it is an experience of evil Elohim has given to the sons of humanity to humble them by it.

Here are the final two verses of the Book of Nahum.

Nah 3:18 Thy shepherds slumber, O king of Assyria: thy nobles shall dwell in the dust: thy people is scattered upon the mountains, and no man gathereth them.

Nah 3:19 There is no healing of thy bruise; thy wound is grievous: all that hear the bruit of thee shall clap the hands over thee: for upon whom hath not thy wickedness passed continually?

This prophesy ends very abruptly. Where is the beautiful ending where the war is over and everyone is happy and joyous and there is peace in the land? This prophesy ends with the fatalistic prognosis that the wound is grievous and there is not going to be any healing.   There are not many secular studies on Nahum and it is easy to understand why. Those without “ears to hear and eyes to see” are totally unaware of what the Scriptures say and mean and do not have a clue to the strange act of the Lord in bringing forth new life through death.

Prophets such as Nahum in type and shadow and all of God’s sons [those who have the Spirit of Christ] are being sent to prepare the way for the fire to come. We know what the Lord is doing in this regard before He does it so we are being prepared to endure it.

Amo 3:7 Surely the Lord GOD will do nothing, but he revealeth his secret unto his servants the prophets.

If we know the definition of LOVE (Agape) and keep in mind it means obedience to the Lord’s commandments (1 Jo 5:3), then the love chapter of Corinthians takes on a whole new meaning. Being blessed with all this knowledge and understanding (riches, treasures of the Temple) and being placed in the Body of Christ, amount to nothing without love and our ministry is nothing more than a clanging gong.

1Co 13:1 Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I have become sounding brass or a clanging cymbal.

1Co 13:2 And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, but have not love, I am nothing.

Last’s week’s sobering message reminded us that we must endure to the end and take heed of the things we know and be diligent, lest we drift away. Here is another admonishment of the same.

Heb 2:1 Therefore we must give the more earnest heed to the things we have heard, lest we drift away.

Heb 2:2 For if the word spoken through angels proved steadfast, and every transgression and disobedience received a just reward,

Heb 2:3 how shall we escape if we neglect so great a salvation, which at the first began to be spoken by the Lord, and was confirmed to us by those who heard Him,

My hope is in the commands of Christ in me and you, and that the Lord will turn and heal us every day so that His commands overtake the prophet’s words.

Zec 1:4 (NLT) Don’t be like your ancestors who would not listen or pay attention when the earlier prophets said to them, ‘This is what the LORD of Heaven’s Armies says: Turn from your evil ways, and stop all your evil practices.

Nah 3:18 Thy shepherds slumber, O king of Assyria: thy nobles shall dwell in the dust: thy people is scattered upon the mountains, and no man gathereth them.

To slumber is to not work. The working of the wicked one, the messengers of Baal within us, is silenced in the purging of our carnal mindedness. The king of our fleshly kingdoms within (the King of Assyria) which shall dwell in the dust and the carnal shepherds which are those great grasshoppers will be scattered on these mountains or kingdoms where the spiritual harlot within us sits. We see this same sequence in our latter stage of judgment as the religious beast we are and the great harlot within are judged.

Dan 2:35 Then the iron, the clay, the bronze, the silver, and the gold were crushed together, and became like chaff from the summer threshing floors; the wind carried them away so that no trace of them was found. And the stone that struck the image became a great mountain and filled the whole earth.

Those false shepherds will no longer work in our heavens as they will be scattered (decreased) by the whirlwind of the Lord’s judgment brought by the feet of brass “is, was, and will be” every day. This was in our first study where we saw that we, the Body of Christ, the great cloud of His witnesses are the dust of the Lord’s feet.

Nah 1:3 The LORD is slow to anger, and great in power, and will not at all acquit the wicked: the LORD hath his way in the whirlwind and in the storm, and the clouds are the dust of his feet.

When the true saviors, the Body of Christ are sent within (Obe 1:21), there will be no slumbering or sleeping. We are to be like our Lord who was like His Father and THEY were always working in the kingdom of God (Joh 5:17). When the armies of the Lord come within and without us, they come quickly and they come without any slumbering (Isa 5:26-28).

Without a shepherd to lead us the Lord causes us to return to His house.

2Ch 18:16 Then he said, I did see all Israel scattered upon the mountains, as sheep that have no shepherd: and the LORD said, These have no master; let them return therefore every man to his house in peace.

We that hear the Word and enter through the door are the shepherds of the sheep not like the hirelings who flee when the wolves come.

Joh 10:2 But he who enters by the door is the shepherd of the sheep.

We are all scattered when the shepherd within us is smitten.

Zec 13:7 Awake, O sword, against my shepherd, and against the man that is my fellow, saith the LORD of hosts: smite the shepherd, and the sheep shall be scattered: and I will turn mine hand upon the little ones.

Zec 13:8 And it shall come to pass, that in all the land, saith the LORD, two parts therein shall be cut off and die; but the third shall be left therein.

Zec 13:9 And I will bring the third part (the latter judgment) through the fire, and will refine them as silver is refined, and will try them as gold is tried: they shall call on my name, and I will hear them: I will say, It is my people: and they shall say, The LORD is my God.

The carnal man will not be gathered back, the Assyrian King will dwell in the dust being an inherent part of the beast that “was, is not but yet is” as long as we occupy the clay vessels.

But the wheat representing His Elect will be gathered back from the four winds of heaven.  This baptism of fire (Mat 3:11) is orchestrated by the fanners which are the Lord’s Elect and through the Words we speak.

Mat 3:12 Whose fan is in his hand, and he will throughly purge his floor, and gather his wheat into the garner; but he will burn up the chaff with unquenchable fire.

Mat 24:31 And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.

Rev 14:18 And another angel came out from the altar, which had power over fire; and cried with a loud cry to him that had the sharp sickle, saying, Thrust in thy sharp sickle, and gather the clusters of the vine of the earth; for her grapes are fully ripe.

Nah 3:19 There is no healing of thy bruise [H7667]; thy wound is grievous: all that hear the bruit of thee shall clap the hands over thee: for upon whom hath not thy wickedness passed continually?

The affliction of the old man with his carnal mind is the bruise that will not be healed. The old man is being destroyed and that is all by the Lord’s design (Jer 18:4, 1 Cor 15:50, Rom 8:20). The word translated as bruise is the Strong’s Hebrew word H7667 “sheber”. This is most often used as destruction and interestingly enough is the word translated hurt, from which Babylon heals us superficially in Jeremiah 6 and 8.

Jer 6:14 They have healed also the hurt (destruction) of the daughter of my people slightly, saying, Peace, peace; when there is no peace.

It is the other jesus we falsely believe wants to stop this “destruction” within us when the reality is He is the One causing it.

This bruise is the same breach in our walls for whom the Lord looked for someone to stand in the gap but found none (Eze 22:30). The old man is not being saved period. In fact the old man is instead purposefully being destroyed. The marred vessel of Jeremiah 18 is this destroyed vessel in the hands of the Potter who is working ALL THINGS.

Jer 18:4 And the vessel that he made of clay was DESTROYED/marred [H7483]: so he made it again another vessel, as seemed good to the potter in the hand of the potter to make it.

Notice that all we do (you and me), both good and bad, either spirit led or carnally minded was done in the hand of the Potter. The Lord uses it all to bring about good in the end.

Jer 30:11 For I am with thee, saith the LORD, to save thee: though I make a full end of all nations whither I have scattered thee, yet will I not make a full end of thee: but I will correct thee in measure, and will not leave thee altogether unpunished.

Jer 30:12 For thus saith the LORD, Thy bruise is incurable, and thy wound is grievous.

Jer 30:13 There is none to plead thy cause, that thou mayest be bound up: thou hast no healing medicines.

Our true healing will come only to the new man. He IS BEING healed and all the nations within us by abiding in the heavenly city of Jerusalem with time.

Rev 22:1 And he shewed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God and of the Lamb.

Rev 22:2 In the midst of the street of it, and on either side of the river, was there the tree of life, which bare twelve manner of fruits, and yielded her fruit every month: and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations.

The head of the serpent within us is given a deadly wound from which there will be no recovery. The ten horned seven headed beasts of our father the devil are given this deadly bruise by the feet of the woman which is the Bride of Christ in type and shadow. We just have to be patient and wait for the Lord to accomplish the incurable bruising of the serpent’s head (Gen 3:15).

Rom 16:20 And the God of peace shall bruise Satan under your feet shortly. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you. Amen.

Practically speaking this all happens by the old man being smitten by the new man within us. Jesus Christ, when He appears in our heavens, does not bring peace but a sword. He comes to divide and the old man will indeed be cut off by the symbolic beheading of our carnal mind. This is the only way to be given the mind of Christ (1 Co 2:16, Rev 20:4).

The payback of “Spiritual Babylon” representing those in the Body of Christ is a double judgment. Our old man is first slain by the Rock that is Christ but then it is also necessary for the head of the beast to be cut off spiritually speaking. That is the purpose of this second coming and our baptism by fire. We see it here in type and shadow in the story of David killing Goliath. We must have the sword in our hands, IN OUR WORK for the Lord to shed the mind of the beast by cutting it off.

1Sa 17:50 So David prevailed over the Philistine with a sling and with a stone, and smote the Philistine, and slew him; but there was no sword in the hand of David.

1Sa 17:51 Therefore David ran, and stood upon the Philistine, and took his sword, and drew it out of the sheath thereof, and slew him, and cut off his head therewith. And when the Philistines saw their champion was dead, they fled.

For us to not worship the beast anymore, recognizing the beast “was, is not and yet is” (Rev 17:18), the head must be cut off and that is exactly what is being concluded here in Nahum.

Clapping of Hands

Our last verse tells us that all that hear the report or fame of our carnally minded old man/beast will clap their hands over us as this state of being is destroyed within us. This was confusing to me and took a lot of digging to come to the knowledge of what is really being said here. It turns out there is both a positive and a negative to every word of Christ including references to the clapping of hands.

To clap our hands physically we must bring our right and left hands together to make a sound.  That is what happens in the Spirit if we apply Romans 1:20.  Knowing that “Christ” is the right hand of the Lord and “Satan” the left hand. Job chapter 1 and the coming together of the Lord, Satan and the sons of God illustrates this.

Job 1:11 But put forth thine hand (The Lord’s) now, and touch all that he hath, and he will curse thee to thy face.
Job 1:12 And the LORD said unto Satan, Behold, all that he hath is in thy power; only upon himself put not forth thine hand (Satan’s). So Satan went forth from the presence of the LORD.

Spiritually speaking clapping hands is what we do when this war of the carnal mind vs the spirit is waging.  A noise is made and as we will see it is linked to the sounds of a trumpet and the blowing of trumpets that bring forth victory and salvation. Both sides of the sword come into view in looking at the spiritual significance of hand clapping.

According to my review of several Jewish or religious history sites, unlike our modern traditions the clapping of hands in ancient times was a custom to show disdain, disagreement and generally a negative attitude about somebody or something. A quick run through of these four verbs translated at times as the word CLAP will show this.

H5606 – smite, striketh, smote, clap

Num 24:10 And Balak’s anger was kindled against Balaam, and he smote his hands together: and Balak said unto Balaam, I called thee to curse mine enemies, and, behold, thou hast altogether blessed them these three times.

Job 27:23 Men shall clap their hands at him, and shall hiss him out of his place.

H5221 – smote, smitten, kill, slew, clapped

Eze 22:13 Behold, therefore I have smitten mine hand at thy dishonest gain which thou hast made, and at thy blood which hath been in the midst of thee.

2Ki 11:12 And he brought forth the king’s son, and put the crown upon him, and gave him the testimony; and they made him king, and anointed him; and they clapped their hands, and said, God save the king.

The intent of clapping was to express their intent to smite and destroy the wicked Queen Althaliah, replacing her with the rightful king, six-year-old Joash. Here is a third word only found three places but always translated as clap and includes a most famous passage.

H4222 – clap, clappeth, A primitive root; to rub or strike the hands together (in exultation): – clap.

Eze 25:6 For thus saith the Lord GOD; Because thou hast clapped thine hands, and stamped with the feet, and rejoiced in heart with all thy despite against the land of Israel;

Isa 55:12 For ye shall go out with joy, and be led forth with peace: the mountains and the hills shall break forth before you into singing, and all the trees of the field shall clap their hands.

Finally, the word translated as clap in our focused verse of Nahum 3:19 comes from H8628.

H8628, taw-kah’

A primitive root; to clatter, that is, slap (the hands together), clang (an instrument); by analogy to drive (a nail or tent pin, a dart, etc.); by implication to become bondsman (by handclasping): – blow ([a trumpet]), cast, clap, fasten, pitch [tent], smite, sound, strike, X suretiship, thrust.

Total KJV occurrences: 69

Of the sixty-nine occurrences of this Hebrew word, it is only translated clap twice. Here is the only other place it is used as clap.

Psa 47:1 To the chief Musician, A Psalm for the sons of Korah. O clap your hands, all ye people; shout unto God with the voice of triumph.

Psa 47:2 For the LORD most high is terrible; he is a great King over all the earth.

Psa 47:3 He shall subdue the people under us, and the nations under our feet.

This clapping of hands like the use in Nahum 3:19 is associated with subduing the enemies of God within us which means gaining dominion over the pulls of the flesh and carnal mind. What is very instructive to extract the parable of the clapping of hands is to look at how this word H8628 is used in the majority of the cases. Here we see words that continue the linkage with actions like smite, smitten and slay when one considers what the blowing of trumpets and the bringing of judgment represent.

Eze_7:14

Clapping of hands whether in a positive reference (the coming forth of the new man), or a negative reference (the destruction and death of the old man and carnal mind) are one in the same. The dream is ONE and both represent the work of the Lord bringing salvation to His people.  This is through the war in our heaven (Rev 12:9). It is “Christ” who does the work of the Lord within and without so we use our hands to cast light on the wicked and to bring forth praises for the good work of the Lord in ourselves and in our brethren. Both sides of this transaction are worthy of clapping!

The clapping of hands and the breaking out of the hills and mountains with joy, is the new man coming forth within us as the Word is working its work in the kingdom of God within us. Here are a couple examples of the hands of the Lord at work using H8628 (the same word translated clap in its more frequent translation as blow or blew).

Eze 33:3 If when he seeth the sword come upon the land, he blow the trumpet, and warn the people;

Jos 6:16 And it came to pass at the seventh time, when the priests blew with the trumpets, Joshua said unto the people, Shout; for the LORD hath given you the city.

Amo 3:6 Shall a trumpet be blown in the city, and the people not be afraid? shall there be evil in a city, and the LORD hath not done it?

And who is it that brings this judgment? The Body of Christ (The Elect) are the saviors that come upon Mt. Esau to judge the nations within and without (Obe 1:21) in the times appointed. As Steve’s Awesome Hands series has so adeptly taught us, the Body of Christ, are the hands of the Lord through which He does His work on the earth including being His Battle Axe.

Joh 14:12 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.

Men represent trees in Scripture (Mar 8:24). The trees of the field shall clap their hands is part of the process of salvation coming to all men. These trees smite the hands of the wicked by clapping of their hands and they also clap their hands with joy for the coming forth of Christ as He is gloried and raised up within us. The war of the flesh versus the spirit in our day of judgment creates the sounds of salvation which is the clapping of the hands of the trees of the field. This is all accomplished by the Word, the fire of God, working in our heavens.

Isa 55:11 So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.

Isa 55:12 For ye shall go out with joy, and be led forth with peace: the mountains and the hills shall break forth before you into singing, and all the trees of the field shall clap their hands.

Isa 55:13 Instead of the thorn shall come up the fir tree, and instead of the brier shall come up the myrtle tree: and it shall be to the LORD for a name, for an everlasting sign that shall not be cut off.

Clapping of hands is the blowing of the trumpet and bringing the Lord’s judgment to those prepared to hear it. That is what saves us and how we learn righteousness as we have reminded ourselves constantly in this series.

1Co 11:31 For if we would judge ourselves, we should not be judged.

1Co 11:32 But when we are judged, we are chastened of the Lord, that we should not be condemned with the world.

Christ comes only for the sick and the lame, not to those without a need for a spiritual physician. Coming to see that the bruise of the flesh king within us will not be healed is essential for this process to complete its course. As bad as all of this sounds, it is truly the prerequisite for the coming of Christ within us the SECOND time for salvation without sin.

Mat 9:12 But when Jesus heard that, he said unto them, They that be whole need not a physician, but they that are sick.

The clapping of hands are the praises of men who have had their cries for deliverance from their enemies answered by the Lord from heaven.

Psa 98:8 Let the floods (River) clap their hands: let the hills be joyful together

Psa 98:9 Before the LORD; for he cometh to judge the earth: with righteousness shall he judge the world, and the people with equity.

This Psalm speaks to the trees of the field that clapping having been delivered by the implanted Word that is bringing forth lasting fruit unto the Lord. With the King of Assyria within us no longer working (slumbering), then the conflict with the Lord’s work in bringing forth fruit can move forward speedily within us as we mature having experienced both good and evil. When Christ in us sees Satan as lightning falling we return with great joy.

Luk 10:17 And the seventy returned again with joy, saying, Lord, even the devils are subject unto us through thy name.

And here is what that produces in us in increasing quantity.

Gal 5:22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,

Gal 5:23 Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.

Conclusion

This entire prophecy has been about the burden we all carry being carnally minded, being created subject to vanity, and seeking to serve the Lord. This must be burned out of us through many trials and tribulations for us to find the true rest that remains for the people of God (Heb 4:9).

The natural enmity of the carnal mind will war against the law of Christ in our minds (Rom 7:23). It requires Christ coming a second time to “Nineveh”, the great city and capital of Assyrian and Babylon WITHIN us (Luke 17:21). Until Christ brings this war in our heavens via the fiery judgments (Rev 12), we are incapable of obeying the Lord in Truth and in spirit. There is a process of spiritual progression and maturity required to implant the Lord’s ways into our hearts and minds. Only once the field is planted with good seed, will it bear fruit for the Lord and this prophecy explains this in its three short chapters. The titles of the eleven studies illustrate this progression yet there was no conscious design on my part to do so.

  1. The Burden of Nineveh – Nah 1:1 The burden of Nineveh
  2. He rebukes the sea
  3. No more of thy name be sown
  4. Then Shall the Wicked Be Revealed
  5. The goodness of God brings repentance
  6. Devouring the devourers
  7. Behold I am against thee
  8. Shaking by a Mighty Wind
  9. You are yet Carnal
  10. The Great Grasshoppers
  11. The trees of the field clap their hands

The study taking eleven parts is all the Lord’s work yet that is very telling also as it confirms the prophecy. Eleven representing the destruction of the perfection of the flesh (10) and being one short of the number twelve which represents our spiritual foundation. So when our flesh is as good as it can be; it is still no good to God and it must be destroyed (Mar 10:18, Ecc 7:20). The Law is good but still a shadow of good things to come.

Of course being remade and our achievement of salvation is all an earnest deposit of the fullness to come. So we are not physically being killed but what must take place is our carnal mindedness needs to be destroyed [we are being led as lambs to the slaughter]. The carnal mindset is death and this must change for us to be of service to the Lord, even in down payment form.

Rom 8:6 For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.

Rom 8:7 Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be.

Rom 8:8 So then they that are in the flesh (“yet carnal”) cannot please God.

The carnal mind makes living and abiding in the Word so burdensome and so frustrating.  We complain, gripe, and go on emotional roller coasters as we respond to the scourging grace the Lord is injecting into our lives. These fiery trials are a huge burden to carry if we think about them and respond to them as a natural man would. The burden is heavy and the yoke is truly oppressive when we strive with our Lord and remain outside of the true rest before we surrender the ghost in down payment form and submit to Christ. There is great gain to be had when we are content with what the Lord is doing in our lives (1 Ti 6:6). When our obedience is complete we lack nothing.

Thankfully nothing is impossible for our Lord and He is causing chastening grace that always increases when sin abounds (Rom 5:20). And as we progress more and more onward to maturity, being dragged there, the yoke becomes easy and the burden is truly light.

Mat 11:29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.

Mat 11:30 For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.

So we all learn patience in waiting for these things to be fulfilled in our heavens. We have faith [a gift] but we also are being taught patience and to watch and pray continuously.

Pro 10:25 As the whirlwind passeth, so is the wicked no more: but the righteous is an everlasting foundation.

Luk 21:33 Heaven and earth shall pass away: but my words shall not pass away.

Luk 21:34 And take heed to yourselves, lest at any time your hearts be overcharged with surfeiting, and drunkenness, and cares of this life, and so that day come upon you unawares.

Surely this study and these words are not comforting to our flesh and carnal mind. But they are a comfort to the NEW MAN and if we recall Study #2, we will remember that Nahum’s name means to comfort. So I hope this study has stirred me and you up to be more vigilant about our walk and bring a measure of patience to endure what the Lord has written in each of our books (Psa 139:16) from the foundation of the world, our days before they even were.

Who Is Responsible For Evil?

earthJoh 15:5 I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.

Jesus is the Lord of heaven and the earth, both the outward and the inward, He is Lord of all.  Jesus Christ whose words shall never pass away told us that without Him we can do nothing.  This statement was true for the disciples that heard it that day and it is equally true for the disciples that hear these words today.  I hope your heavens and your earth (not the things in outer space) are given to hear the truth of what I speak in this post.  It is an essential truth to be set free from the lies and bondage of Babylon.

Isa 1:2 Hear, O heavens, and give ear, O earth: for the LORD hath spoken, I have nourished and brought up children, and they have rebelled against me

Is the Lord just a terrible parent or is our rebellion part of His plan all along?  No, the Lord is not a bad parent, He is God Almighty and is working all things for the counsel of His will.  The Lord spoke through Isaiah and told us HE brought up children who rebelled against Him.  This rebellion is, was and will be God’s plan for ALL MEN.  That is not talking about some people that lived 3,000 years ago, that is talking about you and me, or ALL MEN of all time.  All men will first rebel against God until the Lord has mercy and brings us to Him in truth and in spirit.

Here we see the Lord’s plan from before the world was formed to be set.  He changes not.  It is the Lord who turns man into destruction, into sin and then in the appointed times calls us back home to Himself.

Psa 90:1  A Prayer of Moses the man of God. Lord, thou hast been our dwelling place in all generations.

Psa 90:2  Before the mountains were brought forth, or ever thou hadst formed the earth and the world, even from everlasting to everlasting, thou art God.

Psa 90:3  Thou turnest man to destruction; and sayest, Return, ye children of men.

The Lord both turns us away into wicked things and also is the one who grants and causes us to turn back or repent.  He is doing it all.

Php 2:13  For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure.

I hope to make you seriously challenge some of the doctrines you believe, they are influencing your spiritual vision whether you know it or not.  You best take heed the truth and the doctrines you cling to.

Consider the words of Christ at the top….without Jesus Christ we can do nothing.  We can’t even rebel against God, without Christ in us doing it.  What are the boundaries of nothing?  Did Jesus just mean good things?  What is the sum of God’s word regarding the origins of evil?  The truth is we can’t even do evil outside of Jesus Christ.  We can’t even sin without the Lord our God causing it and bringing about the event in our lives that manifest evil in our own spiritual houses.

I really hope you will read this carefully and consider what the Scriptures actually say and set aside what you believe if you think the Lord is not responsible for evil.  The truth will set you free, the lies of Babylon will keep you from moving on to maturity in Christ.  You must test and prove all things, take nothing for granted about the doctrines of Christ.  Many wolves in sheep’s clothing have been sent out by the Lord to deceive the multitudes that call themselves by His name.  Spirits are in fact doctrines.

1Jn 4:1  Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.

Removing A Giant Beam From Our Eye

How big is your God? We all in our carnal minds underestimate God and exalt the role of man in the affairs of this world. The Lord is orchestrating them all whether they be good or evil and the amazing thing so few can grasp is He declared them all from the beginning and is in need of nothing from His pieces of clay.

Isa 46:10 Declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times the things that are not yet done, saying, My counsel shall stand, and I will do all my pleasure:

One of the biggest Babylonian obstacles to get beyond that greatly hinders our ability to know the truth of God’s word is giving God the glory for ALL THINGS. This includes evil.  This idea is so contrary to our carnal mind and all the traditions of what we learn growing up, it repulses our flesh and makes some angry to even suggest it; yet it is what the Scriptures declare. Unless one is given to see the sovereignty of God in all things; they will be ever learning but never able to come to the knowledge of the truth. My hope is a few of you may come to see this essential truth and a door to your inner heavens will be opened.

Please don’t twist the fact that God is causing evil to then claim I am saying God is evil, He is absolutely not. God is good and is in fact much “gooder” than the false God most worship that will burn most of his creation in a literal eternal hell forever without end. It is almost laughable for me to say that anymore seeing how monstrous a lie and how totally unscriputural that doctrine is, yet BILLIONS believe it to this day.

God is amazingly good but He absolutely works and causes evil to bring good about in the end.  The story of Joseph being sold into Egypt by his brothers is a powerful lesson in how God works evil for good.  In fact his story is what was used to bring me to understand that God is indeed sovereign over all things, including evil things.  At the end the story Joseph tells his brothers it was not really them that did the evil but it was God who did it for good in the end.

Gen 50:20 But as for you, ye thought evil against me; but God meant it unto good, to bring to pass, as it is this day, to save much people alive.

And this is a macro truth repeated everywhere in Scripture once you are give ears to hear and eyes to see.  Do you really believe this verse?

Rom 8:28 And we know that all things (even evil things) work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.

The Lord works evil for good. He is the Lord of all and He really does hold the entire world in His hands.  This is a powerful Scripture if you really consider what is being said.

Act 17:28 For in him we live, and move, and have our being; as certain also of your own poets have said, For we are also his offspring.

Black & White – Believe these Scriptures

Before we get further in, let’s just consider a few of the straightforward Scriptures that tell us the truth about who is causing and sending forth evil.

Isa 45:7 I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things.

It does not get any clearer than this and when you show people this Scripture most of them are dumbstruck.  But there are more, many more.

Amo 3:6  Shall a trumpet be blown in the city, and the people not be afraid? shall there be evil in a city, and the LORD hath not done it?

I know how hard it is to believe this in the natural mind. But when a horrible disaster happens in a city,  we have to accept it was the Lord that caused it.  That is what His word declares.  We will be hated for merely suggesting this truth to most people.  So few believe the Scriptures. We must be given the ability to understand them and also to believe them. Few there be shall find the way but they tell the truth about good and evil.  The Lord says He makes wicked people on purpose.

Pro 16:4 The LORD hath made all things for himself: yea, even the wicked for the day of evil.

The Lord says He speaks and sends forth good or evil.  He orchestrates the events of our lives.

Lam 3:37  Who is he that saith, and it cometh to pass, when the Lord commandeth it not?

Lam 3:38  Out of the mouth of the most High proceedeth not evil and good?

To deny this basic truth is to deny the Lord and create another jesus.  We have just scratched the surface and the sum of thy word, “the Scriptures” are the truth and tell us what God is doing by causing evil.

Psa 119:160 The sum of Your word is truth

The Purpose of Evil

We experience evil to learn about evil as indeed to become like God’s we must know both good and evil.  Nobody can learn anything without experiencing it and learning the contrast with good.  Such is the purpose of life and what the mature people of God will be given to accomplish in this life in clay vessels.  Knowing good and evil is of paramount importance for God’s Elect.

Gen 3:22 And the LORD God said, Behold, the man is become as one of us, to know good and evil: and now, lest he put forth his hand, and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live for ever:

Heb 5:14 But strong meat belongeth to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.

Ecc 1:13 I applied my heart to inquiring and exploring by wisdom concerning all that is done under the heavens:it is an experience of evil Elohim has given to the sons of humanity to humble them by it.

When we don’t know good and evil clearly we will mix them up and confound the truths of God.  This is what Babylon doctrines do to us all.

Isa 5:20  Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!

Let’s ask ourselves a couple of very important question if we doubt the black and white truth shown above.

Who purposefully planted the tree of the knowledge of good and evil right in front of Adam and Eve?

Gen 2:9 And out of the ground made the LORD God to grow every tree that is pleasant to the sight, and good for food; the tree of life also in the midst of the garden, and the tree of knowledge of good and evil.

Who added the crooked serpent to tempt Adam and Eve in the weakness of their carnal mind and sinful flesh?

Gen 3:1 Now the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made.

Job 26:13 By his spirit he hath garnished the heavens; his hand hath formed the crooked serpent.

Did Satan rebel against God and escape His grasps? NO, that is false doctrine of Babylon, the Lord created Satan (evil) as a smith to come create fires in our lives and to destroy the pride of man in due season.

Isa 54:16Behold, I have created the smith that bloweth the coals in the fire, and that bringeth forth an instrument for his work; and I have created the waster to destroy.

The answer to ALL these questions is that GOD DID IT.   GOD DID IT ON PURPOSE, HE PUTS EVIL INTO OUR MIDST, IT IS PART OF HIS PLAN. Learning good and evil and being tempted by the devil is God’s plan for man. Satan is not escaped the hands of the Lord and is out running around working against the purposes of God. That is carnal logic, utter nonsense and a false doctrine of Babylon who have not any truth.

God Sends Evil Spirits Among His People

God causes evil to come upon His people when they are judged. It is part of His chastening grace and how He scourges every son He receives.

Heb 12:6 For whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth, and scourgeth every son whom he receiveth.

We saw from Lamentations 3 that it is from the mouth of the most high God that commands evil to go forth. Satan could not touch JOB until the Lord said go get him and His purposes were ultimately for the good of JOB and all involved.    Here is this important story told us from JOB.

Job 1:6 Now there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the LORD, and Satan came also among them.

Job 1:7 And the LORD said unto Satan, Whence comest thou? Then Satan answered the LORD, and said, From going to and fro in the earth, and from walking up and down in it.

Job 1:8 And the LORD said unto Satan, Hast thou considered my servant Job, that there is none like him in the earth, a perfect and an upright man, one that feareth God, and escheweth evil?

Job 1:9 Then Satan answered the LORD, and said, Doth Job fear God for nought?

Job 1:10 Hast not thou made an hedge about him, and about his house, and about all that he hath on every side? thou hast blessed the work of his hands, and his substance is increased in the land.

Job 1:11 But put forth thine hand now, and touch all that he hath, and he will curse thee to thy face.

Job 1:12 And the LORD said unto Satan, Behold, all that he hath is in thy power; only upon himself put not forth thine hand. So Satan went forth from the presence of the LORD.

So we see in JOB that Satan and his demons are nothing more than servants of the Lord, they are in fact the left hand of God.  HE uses them to bring about good and to accomplish ALL HIS GOOD PLEASURE in our lives.   Just to prove that all the evil JOB went thru was for good, let’s check in at the end of the book and see what the Lord says.  It sure looks like JOB was blessed even more than the beginning.  God worked evil for good again.

Job 42:12  So the LORD blessed the latter end of Job more than his beginning: for he had fourteen thousand sheep, and six thousand camels, and a thousand yoke of oxen, and a thousand she asses.

Notice who brought the evil.  It was the Lord even though we are told it was Satan earlier.  It is because Satan and all evil forces only go where the Lord commands them to go and do only what they are commanded to do.  The Lord really is the Lord!!!!

I have seen people look on in disbelief when you show the clear Scriptures on this subject. They don’t want to talk about, their carnal mind cannot process these plain facts.  Here is a verse most have never seen and hate in defense of the false doctrines that God does not create or have anything to do with evil.

Psa 78:49 He cast upon them the fierceness of his anger, wrath, and indignation, and trouble, by sending evil angels among them.

Psalm 78 is not talking about the bad people, it is talking about ISREAL, God’s own people! The Lord sends evil spirits to His own people. The Lord is doing it, He is working all things for good in the end, even sending evil. This is the truth and you are blessed to remove the plank that represents the lie that God is not responsible and is not the author of evil, maybe you will begin to see the truth much more clearly. Here are a couple of more, but there are many others in the sum of God’s word.

1Sa 19:9 And the evil spirit from the LORD was upon Saul, as he sat in his house with his javelin in his hand: and David played with his hand.

1Ki 22:23 Now therefore, behold, the LORD hath put a lying spirit in the mouth of all these thy prophets, and the LORD hath spoken evil concerning thee.

Jdg 9:23 Then God sent an evil spirit between Abimelech and the men of Shechem; and the men of Shechem dealt treacherously with Abimelech:

God sends evil spirits, He even sends strong delusion, yes the Lord does all these things. It is our carnal minds and the lies of Babylon we all are raised under that deceive us and foster UNBELIEF in the Scriptures.  Who was behind the crucifixion of our Lord Jesus Christ?  The most evil act of all time, the murder of our Lord Jesus Christ was orchestrated and worked by GOD.  This evil was done for good in the end, to save many people,  ALL MEN alive.

Act 4:26  The kings of the earth stood up, and the rulers were gathered together against the Lord, and against his Christ.

Act 4:27  For of a truth against thy holy child Jesus, whom thou hast anointed, both Herod, and Pontius Pilate, with the Gentiles, and the people of Israel, were gathered together,

Act 4:28  For to do whatsoever thy hand and thy counsel determined before to be done.

And the same forces are at work not only against the Lord but also against His Body, His Christ, just as verse 26 tells us above.  Not only does a bird not fall from the sky outside of the will of God, but a demon or the devil does not take one step outside of the will of God either. This is what you must come to see, the absolute sovereignty of God in ALL THINGS.

STOP THINKING OUTWARDLY

Luk 17:20 And when he was demanded of the Pharisees, when the kingdom of God should come, he answered them and said, The kingdom of God cometh not with observation:

Luk 17:21 Neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, the kingdom of God is within you.

We should know that the kingdom of God is within us, in our hearts and minds, which is where heaven is. Some can easily believe that the Lord is responsible for tornado’s and hurricanes, the outward things, but cannot make the connection that the Lord is the Lord of heaven and the earth. This speaks of inward things as well as the outward. The ALL THINGS means ALL THINGS whenever you see it.

Rom 11:36 For of him, and through him, and to him, are all things: to whom be glory for ever. Amen.

When you truly understand what being sovereign means and what Jesus meant when He said without me you can do nothing, then you will begin to understand the lie of free will, that God truly is the Potter and we the clay and that man is not even responsible for his own sins.

I know what you are thinking…. WHAT! This guy Pete is a heretic. How shocking a statement can one say you may be thinking. I would have thought that just a few years ago before a light in my heavens was turned on.

But I just declare what the Scriptures say and man having free will to choose good or evil without God causing those choices is the strong delusion. The fact is we cannot even sin without Jesus Christ. He is working it ALL. Let’s just look at some black and white Scriptures again and then we will come back to look at it on deeper level. If you have ears to hear, you are going to learn something.

Isa 63:17 O LORD, why hast thou made us to err from thy ways, and hardened our heart from thy fear? Return for thy servants’ sake, the tribes of thine inheritance.

Who causes us to err from His ways?  Is it Satan?  No, ultimately it is the Lord who is working in us to will and to way according to His good pleasure.  That includes causing and sending evil upon us and within us.  We can certainly sin with our tongues can’t we?  Who gives us EVERY WORD we speak?  It is the Lord.

Pro 16:1  The preparations of the heart in man, and the answer of the tongue, is from the LORD.

Isa 57:19  I create the fruit of the lips

Exo 4:11  And the LORD said unto him, Who hath made man’s mouth? or who maketh the dumb, or deaf, or the seeing, or the blind? have not I the LORD?

The master Potter who is the LORD is doing it all.  He makes us all wicked for our day of evil.

Pro 16:4  The LORD hath made all things for himself: yea, even the wicked for the day of evil.

Free will is another giant lie of Babylon because the Lord is doing it all, directing all our steps. It is the delusion of the carnal mind that wants to give God part credit for the good and blame the evil on Satan.  But here is who is doing it all again.

Pro 16:9  A man’s heart deviseth his way: but the LORD directeth his steps.

We read about Israel’s rebellion and doing evil against the Lord, we are reading about OUR rebellion and doing evil against the Lord. These things are all written for our admonition, as God’s Elect upon whom the ends of the age have come ( 1 Cor 10:11). The Scriptures make clear WHO IS DOING IT, WHO CAUSES THE SIN and the EVIL.

Jer 32:23 And they came in, and possessed it; but they obeyed not thy voice, neither walked in thy law; they have done nothing of all that thou commandedst them to do: therefore thou hast caused all this evil to come upon them:

Jer 32:42 For thus saith the LORD; Like as I have brought all this great evil upon this people, so will I bring upon them all the good that I have promised them.

And there you see the contrast again, the Lord brought all this evil upon His own people so He could then bring all the good He promised upon them. DO YOU SEE IT? DO YOU BELIEVE?

Seeking Occasion Against Our Flesh

The Lord draws light out of the darkness. He remakes marred vessels of clay, vessels of dishonor into vessels of honor, but in His timing.  Each of us is this ONE LUMP of clay in the hands of the Potter.

Rom 9:21 Hath not the potter power over the clay, of the same lump to make one vessel unto honour, and another unto dishonour?

One reason for God causing us to err from His ways and to run after and do evil, is for God to seek an occasion against our flesh. It is by the process of judgment (the marvelous works of the Lord to the children of men) that all men are brought to salvation and the old man, the beast within us all is destroyed. This takes place in the kingdom of God within us all, it takes place in the heavens, that is where this battle of good vs evil is waged.

Eph 6:12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in heaven

The idea of God using evil for good is so foreign to our carnal minds, but that is how the Lord works judgment in our lives, He causes us to stumble so we will learn that we indeed are a wretched man in need of a savior.  When judgment falls upon us, the sword, which is the WORD OF GOD will never depart from our house. God says He will raise up evil WITHIN US, and the reason for this is so God’s wrath will rightly fall upon the old man and destroy the wickedness that all men are by the brightness of His coming in our heavens. The story of Nathan exposing David for the wretched man that he and all men are tells us exactly what we too will experience in our appointed times.

It was an egregious sin for Israel to inner marry with pagan cultures. Same way today, we are to keep ourselves separate and pure from the world. Yet the Lord in seeking an occasion to bring judgment upon us, sends evil to our own house. The story of Samson tells us this also, where the Lord put it into Samson’s heart to demand his parents get for him a philistine (FLESHLY) wife.

Jdg 14:1 And Samson went down to Timnath, and saw a woman in Timnath of the daughters of the Philistines.

Jdg 14:2 And he came up, and told his father and his mother, and said, I have seen a woman in Timnath of the daughters of the Philistines: now therefore get her for me to wife.

Jdg 14:3 Then his father and his mother said unto him, Is there never a woman among the daughters of thy brethren, or among all my people, that thou goest to take a wife of the uncircumcised Philistines? And Samson said unto his father, Get her for me; for she pleaseth me well.

Jdg 14:4 But his father and his mother knew not that it was of the LORD, that he sought an occasion against the Philistines: for at that time the Philistines had dominion over Israel.

The Lord sought an occasion to bring judgment upon the carnal mindset that corrupts all of us and this happens in the appointed time for all. All of God’s Elect will marry Philistine women in type, that is what Babylon and our fleshly desires represent. But the Lord uses this evil we do and are caused to do, to bring about good, which is to have our old man destroyed and the new man brought forward. That is why judgment and having God’s wrath poured out upon us is said to be…..

Psa 19:9 The fear of the LORD is clean, enduring for ever: the judgments of the LORD are true and righteous altogether.

Psa 19:10 More to be desired are they than gold, yea, than much fine gold: sweeter also than honey and the honeycomb.

The Lord uses evil for good. Evil provokes Him to anger and brings about the righteous judgment of God upon us. That is His grace that chastens and in due season teaches us to deny ungodliness and worldly lusts.

2Ch_33:6 And he caused his children to pass through the fire in the valley of the son of Hinnom: also he observed times, and used enchantments, and used witchcraft, and dealt with a familiar spirit, and with wizards: he wrought much evil in the sight of the LORD, to provoke him to anger.

To know the truth and even begin to grasp the truth about the Lord and His sovereignty over all, you must know He is responsible for everything. Carnal minds will of course apply this outwardly, and that is true. You must first see that the Lord is causing everything in the external world, be it disasters, storms, rain, sunshine, who is elected king or President, there is no boundary to what God is causing.

2Co 5:18  And all things are of God

Yet an even deeper truth is applying God’s sovereignty to the kingdoms and nations within us, within the hearts and minds of His people.   That is where the kingdom of really is and where all the stories of the Bible are really talking about and where the lessons learned need to be applied.

ALL THINGS HAS NO EXCLUSIONS

If one can just latch on to the concept of ALL THINGS and apply the definition of all things to the doctrines we believe and follow, a lot of error would go away and we would begin to see that the Lord is indeed sovereign over EVERYTHING. The Lord made all things and works all things all the time. He is not a Plan B God that responds and reacts to the messes that man makes.

Eph 1:11In whom also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestinated according to the purpose of him who worketh all things after the counsel of his own will:

The carnal mind will not believe that every day of our lives has already been written in God’s book. But what sayeth the Scriptures?

Psa 139:16 Thine eyes did see my substance, yet being unperfect; and in thy book all my members were written, which in continuance were fashioned, when as yet there was none of them.

Which is why we must be given the gift of faith to believe the Scriptures, otherwise the true things of God like His sovereignty are indeed foolishness to the natural mind.  We all think we believe long before we really do.

1Co 2:14 But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.

ALL THINGS means exactly what it says and as one grows in the truth faith, your boundaries of all things will continue to expand.  Pay attention to Paul’s description of Christ.  ALL THINGS IS THE MAIN POINT as I have bolded.

Col 1:16  For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him:

Col 1:17  And he is before all things, and by him all things consist.

Col 1:18  And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the preeminence.

Col 1:19  For it pleased the Father that in him should all fulness dwell;

Col 1:20  And, having made peace through the blood of his cross, by him to reconcile all things unto himself; by him, I say, whether they be things in earth, or things in heaven.

There is nothing the Lord did not create or cause. There are no exceptions or exclusions. Being Lord of lords leaves nothing out with regards to absolute sovereignty. I continue to be amazed and how these clear scriptures that state the truth can be read and yet the meaning not retained in their mind.

Where is the verse or verses that say God does not create evil and is not working all things?  THEY DO NOT EXIST and if you believe those lies, you are still in Babylon and know not the truth.

WE WERE MADE SIN, WICKED ON PURPOSE

Pro 16:4  The LORD hath made all things for himself: yea, even the wicked for the day of evil.

Ecc 7:20  For there is not a just man upon earth, that doeth good, and sinneth not.

We all think we are pretty good people before the judgment of God falls upon us and the LORD begins to manifest in our own spiritual house, the evil that lives within us.  The Lord has to show us we are wretched men and that nothing good dwells in our flesh.  We have to come to see why God must destroy our carnal mind and will learn to count this destruction as joy once we first see who we truly are in these fleshly vessels.  I hope some understand these words and can count well.

Rom 3:10  As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one:

Rom 3:11  There is none that understandeth, there is none that seeketh after God.

Rom 3:12  They are all gone out of the way, they are together become unprofitable; there is none that doeth good, no, not one.

If you see how God works evil for good and believe all things really means all things, then maybe we will better understand God’s plan to remake all sinful vessels into new vessels by the process of judgment.

Rev 21:5 And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful.

Christ is not counting on you to do anything. Salvation is truly of the Lord.  Man was made very imperfect, marred in a body of sinful flesh. What God made was indeed “good” for the purposes He made it, but His standards of perfection only come on the third day. Even Jesus was not good in body of flesh.

Mar 10:18 And Jesus said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God.

Luk 13:32 And he said unto them, Go ye, and tell that fox, Behold, I cast out devils, and I do cures to day and to morrow, and the third day I shall be perfected.

Your third day is the day of the Lord, it is the day of our judgment. This is when our flesh and carnal mind is destroyed by the fire of hearing His word. If you are so blessed to be God’s Elect, that day is now in this age while we are yet in these vessels of clay.

1Pe 4:17For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God?

But God made us virtually sinning machines, automatically programmed to do evil, an innate a beast at the core. This was done ON PURPOSE as the Scriptures declare.  I hope you will remove the fall of man from your mind also as that too is a lie of Babylon that is supported by the lie that the Lord does not create or send forth all the evil of this world.

Jer 18:4 And the vessel that he made of clay was marred in the hand of the potter: so he made it again another vessel, as seemed good to the potter to make it.

Rom 8:20 For the creature was made subject to vanity, not willingly, but by reason of him who hath subjected the same in hope,

Rom 8:21 Because the creature itself also shall be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God.

Psa 51:5 Behold, I was shapen in iniquity; and in sin did my mother conceive me.

This chapter in 1 Corinthians is so powerful when you can understand it. We all are of the first man Adam and the second man Christ, but in our appointed times. Jesus said He was the first and the last meaning He is the first man in us all and the last man in us all, thru HIM are ALL THINGS.

1Co 15:47 The first man is of the earth, earthy: the second man is the Lord from heaven.

1Co 15:48 As is the earthy, such are they also that are earthy: and as is the heavenly, such are they also that are heavenly.

1Co 15:49 And as we have borne the image of the earthy, we shall also bear the image of the heavenly.

1Co 15:50 Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption.

Salvation does not come until we are given to see who we truly are in the flesh. Like Paul we will see ourselves as the chief of sinners.

Rom 7:24 O wretched man that I am! who shall deliver me from the body of this death?

The salvation “process” does not even begin in earnest until we see ourselves as the abomination of desolation.

Ecc 3:18 I said in mine heart concerning the estate of the sons of men, that God might manifest them, and that they might see that they themselves are beasts.

Mat 24:15 When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:)

This does not speak of some bad guy down the street, it is talking about you and me. We have to come to see ourselves in total need of a Savior and incapable of doing it ourselves. This is why the Lord causes us to err from His ways and do evil, He has to show us who we are and that all the sins of Adam thru the prophets, Cain, Saul, it all lives in us. The law of sin and death was put into us all by the Lord .

Rom 8:2 For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.

Salvation will not come, the process won’t even start unless and until you are given to see this fact. You and me and all men are beast, we are the abomination causing desolation sitting on God’s throne in our hearts exalting ourselves and our delusion of free will as being God. That lie will come crashing down the day the rock that is Christ falls upon you and begins to grind you to powder. Woe unto you, the judgment has come upon you and it is a marvelous thing, a wonderful blessing, a strange act that those yet carnal are not given to know this mystery. The day of the Lord for you will not come to any man until we are shown these things.

2Th 2:3 Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;

2Th 2:4 Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.

2Th 2:5 Remember ye not, that, when I was yet with you, I told you these things?

So I am going to end this here and point out that apart from Christ we can do nothing, we can’t do good, we can’t even sin outside of Christ. He is vine and we (all men) the branches. It is those unfruitful works in us (sin) that are IN CHRIST (In me in verse 2) that are purged and thrown into the fire, which means burned up by us hearing the words of eternal life with God given ears to hear.

Joh 15:1 I am the true vine, and my Father is the husbandman.

Joh 15:2 Every branch in me that beareth not fruit he taketh away: and every branch that beareth fruit, he purgeth it, that it may bring forth more fruit.

Joh 15:3 Now ye are clean through the word which I have spoken unto you.

Joh 15:4 Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me.

Joh 15:5 I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.

CONCLUSION

Contrary to Billy Graham’s famous sermon after 911, where he unequivocally said “The Bible says God is not the author of evil”, God most certainly is the author of evil and the Scriptures clearly declare that. Unless and until this deceptive log is pulled from our spiritual eyes, we will have no chance to know the truth and will be wandering in a spiritual wilderness. Either God is sovereign or He is not and He very much is and that includes over ALL THINGS, even EVIL THINGS.

We must be given the gift of faith, the Faith OF Christ to understand the Scriptures and to believe them, which are in direct opposition to what Billy Graham and all of those in Babylon preach.  Faith is indeed a gift and it is not even our own faith, it is of Christ.

Eph 4:7 But unto every one of us is given grace according to the measure of the gift of Christ.

Getting rid of the lie that God does not create evil will establish momentum of truth that will take out other lies of our Babylonian gospel. Once the legs are cut off, the table we are spiritually eating from will collapse. That is how it worked for me.

If one can come to see the very clear Scriptures that show the Lord is the one creating evil and sending it forth to accomplish HIS purposes, then this pillar will be cut down and Lord willing an entire suite of false doctrines will be purged from our inward heavens. Lies such as eternal torment, the fall of mankind, the fall of Satan, and sin being caused by free will choices will be vaporized and we will see spiritually with much greater clarity.  Young babes in the true knowledge of Christ will be hungry for answers to the inevitable and many questions we all will have.  An obvious question once we realize free will is a lie is this one.

Rom 9:19Thou wilt say then unto me, Why doth he yet find fault? For who hath resisted his will?

And the answer is that God is God and thru the Lord is working all things and is showing us His goodness thru the longsuffering and forgiveness we all are given for the evil we are ordained to live out in our own lives, whether that be a little bit of evil or a lot of evil.  God is going to make known His glory by rendering this mercy to us all in the end.

Rom 9:20 Nay but, O man, who art thou that repliest against God? Shall the thing formed say to him that formed it, Why hast thou made me thus?
Rom 9:21 Hath not the potter power over the clay, of the same lump to make one vessel unto honour, and another unto dishonour?
Rom 9:22 What if God, willing to shew his wrath, and to make his power known, endured with much longsuffering the vessels of wrath fitted to destruction:
Rom 9:23 And that he might make known the riches of his glory on the vessels of mercy, which he had afore prepared unto glory,

Hopefully for a few this post has lodged loose some planks and possible logs in your spiritual eyes.  Ultimately the same Lord that is working all things end even causing you to stumble and commit evil will turn you around and cause you to obey Him and to take seriously His word and to fear it.

Eze 36:27  And I will put my spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes, and ye shall keep my judgments, and do them.

Jer 32:40  And I will make an everlasting covenant with them, that I will not turn away from them, to do them good; but I will put my fear in their hearts, that they shall not depart from me.
