FAQS

Almighty God Gets What He Wants

Getting past the lie of free will is essential to come to see the marvelous truth of the promise of the salvation of all men.  Those that cling to the false doctrine of man having a free will,  have a very small God.  Such a God would therefore be dependent upon his own creation and their actions to accomplish the Lord’s will in their life.  But is that what the Scriptures teach?  Most certainly not as this post will touch on the basics.

1Co 8:6  But to us there is but one God, the Father, of whom are all things, and we in him; and one Lord Jesus Christ, by whom are all things, and we by him.

It is the Lord who has devised the means and the timing of how and when He will save every man.

2Sa 14:14  For we must needs die, and are as water spilt on the ground, which cannot be gathered up again; neither doth God respect any person: yet doth he devise means, that his banished be not expelled from him (i.e. Saved).

The end is the gathering together of all God’s people in unity.  That glorious event that occurs in the  lake of fire has already been declared from the very beginning.  The Lord is a powerful God not like the ones we invent in our carnal minds.

Isa 46:9  Remember the former things of old: for I am God, and there is none else; I am God, and there is none like me,
Isa 46:10  Declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times the things that are not yet done, saying, My counsel shall stand, and I will do all my pleasure:

The Lord is in charge and He gets His pleasure done. God Almighty, our Lord and Savior does not need anyone’s help to accomplish His will in the earth and in the hearts of men.  He is working all things and is sovereign over all His works.

Psa 115:3  But our God is in the heavens: he hath done whatsoever he hath pleased.

Php 2:13  For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure.

Yet carnal minds don’t and can’t believe this.  When we first begin speaking the truth of the salvation of all men and the absolute sovereignty of the Lord in ALL THINGS, we will get push back from a carnally minded world that the Lord has purposefully blinded.

1Jn 5:19  And we know that we are of God, and the whole world lieth in wickedness.

1Jn 5:20  And we know that the Son of God is come, and hath given us an understanding, that we may know him that is true, and we are in him that is true, even in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and eternal life.

Only a few are given the ears to hear and  eyes to see the truth of God’s plan for mankind.  These truths and the plan of salvation of all are foolishness to the natural man not given the precious gifts of faith and spiritual understanding.

1Co 2:7  But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom, which God ordained before the world unto our glory:

1Co 2:14  But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.

A very common push back those speaking the truth face is responding to those claiming it is up to man to repent and choose of himself to believe the gospel.  While some Scriptures taken by themselves seem to say this, like Jos 24:15 which says “choose this day whom you shall serve:.  Yet the real truth is found only in the SUM OF THE WORD (Psa 119:160) and applying Peter’s warning here about making doctrines off one verse.

2Pe 1:20 (CLV) knowing this first, that no prophecy of scripture at all is becoming its own explanation

Sure man makes choices but all those choices are caused consistent with the SUM of the Scriptures.  We have matter of fact verses telling us we have nothing to do with choosing to follow the Lord.

Joh 15:16  Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you

Isa 43:10  Ye are my witnesses, saith the LORD, and my servant whom I have chosen: that ye may know and believe me, and understand that I am he: before me there was no God formed, neither shall there be after me.

The Bible is chock full of verses that tell us to choose the right way and to obey the Lord. Yet we are also told, our choosing righteousness is not in ourselves.  It is 100% up to the Lord.

Jeremiah 10:23 O LORD, I know that the way of man is not in himself: it is not in man that walketh to direct his steps.

Rom 9:16 So then it is not of him that willeth, nor of him that runneth, but of God that sheweth mercy.

True faith is not something any man chooses.  The true faith is a gift of the Lord.

Eph 2:8  For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:

Eph 2:9  Not of works, lest any man should boast.

Eph 2:10  For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.

This gift is given to those who not only did not deserve it but were  not looking for the true Jesus.

Rom 10:20  But Esaias is very bold, and saith, I was found of them that sought me not; I was made manifest unto them that asked not after me

But what most never see about faith is it is never OUR faith, it is always about the faith OF Jesus Christ.  Big difference.  We are given a measure of Christ’s faith, that is the faith that matters and all that counts and what the Scriptures are speaking about.

Rom 3:22  Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference:

Gal 2:16  Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified.

Gal 2:20  I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.

Php 3:9  And be found in him, not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith:

Rom 12:3  For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith.

Those chosen of God and in fact ALL MEN are the Lord’s workmanship.   He is the potter and we the clay and everything we think do and say is all from the Lord.

Php 2:13  For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure.

Pro 16:9  A man’s heart deviseth his way: but the LORD directeth his steps.

Isa 64:8  But now, O LORD, thou art our father; we are the clay, and thou our potter; and we all are the work of thy hand.

Joh 15:5  I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.

We can nothing apart from the Lord.  Even the bad things we do are His work in us.  Here is a post on www.truthinscripture.com  that covers the “bad things” and who is causing them very thoroughly.

Who is Responsible for Evil?

Sure the Lord wants all men to repent and guess what? The Lord gets what He wants but only on His timeline not a deluded carnal man’s version of free will. Here are three point blank witnesses to this truth.

Psa 135:6  Whatever the LORD pleases He does, In heaven and in earth, In the seas and in all deep places.

Job 23:13  “But He is unique, and who can make Him change? And whatever His soul desires, that He does.

Eph 1:11  In whom also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestinated according to the purpose of him who worketh all things after the counsel of his own will:

The  Lord needs nothing from any man or anybody to accomplish His work.  He has already declared it and we and every man are just living it out now.

Act 17:24  God that made the world and all things therein, seeing that he is Lord of heaven and earth, dwelleth not in temples made with hands;
Act 17:25  Neither is worshipped with men’s hands, as though he needed any thing, seeing he giveth to all life, and breath, and all things;

Psa 139:16  Thine eyes did see my substance, yet being unperfect; and in thy book all my members were written, which in continuance were fashioned, when as yet there was none of them.

It is the Lord’s desire to bring every man to repentance and save every man.  That He will do exactly on  the  timetable He has declared from the  beginning.

2Pe 3:9  The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance.

Here is that order:

1Co 15:22  For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ all shall be made alive.

1Co 15:23  But each one in his own order: Christ the firstfruits, afterward those who are Christ’s at His coming.

1Co 15:24  Then comes the end, when He delivers the kingdom to God the Father, when He puts an end to all rule and all authority and power.

Even repentance, the necessary first step is all given to man by the Lord when the Lord has determined to grant that repentance.  It is up to Him not to the deception of man’s free will.

2Ti 2:25  in humility correcting those who are in opposition, if God perhaps will grant them repentance, so that they may know the truth,

Act 5:31  Him God has exalted to His right hand to be Prince and Savior, to give repentance to Israel and forgiveness of sins

Rom 2:4  Or do you despise the riches of His goodness, forbearance, and longsuffering, not knowing that the goodness of God leads you to repentance?

Act 11:18  When they heard these things they became silent; and they glorified God, saying, “Then God has also granted to the Gentiles repentance to life.”

As clay in His hands, the Lord turns us into destruction on  purpose in order to turn us back (grant repentance) but only in the appointed times.

Psa 90:3  Thou turnest man to destruction; and sayest, Return, ye children of men.

Isa 63:17  O LORD, why hast thou made us to err from thy ways, and hardened our heart from thy fear? Return for thy servants’ sake, the tribes of thine inheritance.

This is all part of the wonderful works to the children of men.  These are all God’s work in us and in our flesh (the deep).  He creates the storms and provokes our flesh in order to bring us around to seeing our need to a Saviour and our dependence on Him in All Things.

Psa 107:24  These see the works of the LORD, and his wonders in the deep.
Psa 107:25  For he commandeth, and raiseth the stormy wind, which lifteth up the waves thereof.
Psa 107:26  They mount up to the heaven, they go down again to the depths: their soul is melted because of trouble.
Psa 107:27  They reel to and fro, and stagger like a drunken man, and are at their wits’ end.
Psa 107:28  Then they cry unto the LORD in their trouble, and he bringeth them out of their distresses.
Psa 107:29  He maketh the storm a calm, so that the waves thereof are still.
Psa 107:30  Then are they glad because they be quiet; so he bringeth them unto their desired haven.
Psa 107:31  Oh that men would praise the LORD for his goodness, and for his wonderful works to the children of men!

Both our rebellion and our obedience to the Lord is caused by the Lord.  He is making us lie down in His pastures when our time has come.

Psa 23:2  He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters.

It  is grace that is chastening us and teaching us and ultimately causing us to return to the Lord and begin to walk in obedience.  Hence the true grace of God is seen.

Heb 12:6  FOR WHOM THE LORD LOVES HE CHASTENS, AND SCOURGES EVERY SON WHOM HE RECEIVES.”

Tit 2:11  For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men,

Tit 2:12  chastening (the word really means chastening not teaching) us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly in the present age,

So the only way one begins to obey in truth and in spirit is to be chastened and scourged of the  Lord.  Which is why it is a blessing that judgment is now on the real house of the Lord.

1Pe 4:17  For the time has come for judgment to begin at the house of God; and if it begins with us first, what will be the end of those who do not obey the gospel of God?

The promise of the New Covenant in Christ shows this as well.  You will notice there  is no you do anything in this promise, it is all I WILL SAYS THE LORD.  He is working all things, even salvation  in the lives of those He has chosen for salvation  in this age.

Eze 36:23  And I will sanctify My great name, which has been profaned among the nations, which you have profaned in their midst; and the nations shall know that I am the LORD,” says the Lord GOD, “when I am hallowed in you before their eyes.

Eze 36:24  For I will take you from among the nations, gather you out of all countries, and bring you into your own land.

Eze 36:25  Then I will sprinkle clean water on you, and you shall be clean; I will cleanse you from all your filthiness and from all your idols.

Eze 36:26  I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; I will take the heart of stone out of your flesh and give you a heart of flesh.

Eze 36:27  I will put My Spirit within you and cause you to walk in My statutes, and you will keep My judgments and do them.

Eze 36:28  Then you shall dwell in the land that I gave to your fathers; you shall be My people, and I will be your God.

Eze 36:29  I will deliver you from all your uncleannesses. I will call for the grain and multiply it, and bring no famine upon you.

It is 100% the Lord.  The circumcision of heart is done by  His hands and  not the delusion of man’s free will doing it.

Col 2:11  In Him you were also circumcised with the circumcision made without hands, by putting off the body of the sins of the flesh, by the circumcision of Christ

Those that think it is up to them are not the true circumcision as such ones still have confidence in flesh,

Php 3:3  For we are the circumcision, who worship God in the Spirit, rejoice in Christ Jesus, and have no confidence in the flesh,

The true Jews are those circumcised by the hand of God.

Rom 2:28  For he is not a Jew who is one outwardly, nor is circumcision that which is outward in the flesh;

Rom 2:29  but he is a Jew who is one inwardly; and circumcision is that of the heart, in the Spirit, not in the letter; whose praise is not from men but from God.

One day all men will be given to come to know and to see these mysteries of the kingdom of God.  But for now these truths are not given for everyone to see.  Faith is a gift as is the eyes to see and ears to hear.

Pro 20:12  The hearing ear and the seeing eye, The LORD has made them both.

Pro 1:23  Turn at my rebuke; Surely I will pour out my spirit on you; I will make my words known to you.

Mat 13:10  And the disciples came, and said unto him, Why speakest thou unto them in parables?

Mat 13:11  He answered and said unto them, Because it is given unto you to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it is not given.

Mat 13:12  For whosoever hath, to him shall be given, and he shall have more abundance: but whosoever hath not, from him shall be taken away even that he hath.

Mat 13:13  Therefore speak I to them in parables: because they seeing see not; and hearing they hear not, neither do they understand.

Those whom the Lord has blinded in this age will stay blind until the Lord has ordained them to see and to hear the things of the Spirit.  One of the hardest things we first learn is this principle and that we cannot give to anyone what the Lord has given to us.

Mat 13:16  But blessed are your eyes, for they see: and your ears, for they hear.

Mat 13:17  For verily I say unto you, That many prophets and righteous men have desired to see those things which ye see, and have not seen them; and to hear those things which ye hear, and have not heard them.

The Lord is working to bring about His good and perfect will in the lives of every man that has ever lived.  He will do it and bring it  all to pass exactly on schedule.  In that rejoice if you are able.

1Ti 4:9  This is a faithful saying and worthy of all acceptation.

1Ti 4:10  For therefore we both labour and suffer reproach, because we trust in the living God, who is the Saviour of all men, specially of those that believe (now).

1Ti 4:11  These things command and teach.

Book of Esther Part 3 – Salvation is of the Jews

Esther Part 3 – Salvation is of the Jews

We continue in the story of Esther starting at the second day of the banquet of wine. We have seen Esther requesting the king and Haman to come to a banquet and then she requests the king and Haman to come to a banquet the next day which she is preparing for them. In a three process of judgement, two signifies coming out of her my people.

Banquet

The banquet reveals Esther’s plan to save her people from destruction by Haman’s decree. Esther as a type of God’s elect, is dying daily. “Dying daily” is being “killed all day long”, and it is “lying dead in the streets of that great city where also our Lord was crucified.”

Rom 8:36 As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.

1Co 15:31 I protest by your rejoicing which I have in Christ Jesus our Lord, I die daily.

Est 7:1 So the king and Haman came to banquet with Esther the queen.

Est 7:2 And the king said again unto Esther on the second day at the banquet of wine,  What is thy petition, queen Esther? and it shall be granted thee: and what is thy  request? and it shall be performed, even to the half of the kingdom.

A humble heart

Esther, as a type of Christ’s Bride, is humble when she comes before the king to plead  for her life and the lives of her people. Esther is seeking judgement.

Pro 11:2 When pride cometh, then cometh shame: but with the lowly [humbled] is wisdom.

A humble heart is a soft heart that is dead too self and the pulls of this world within and without. A humble heart is found in someone that is living a crucified life with Christ dying daily and accepting of the righteous judgments of the Lord. The pride of life and our confidence in the flesh is burned out of us when we love mercy and seek judgment. We begin to walk humbly when we truly offer ourselves up to our fellow man as a living sacrifice freely giving and expecting nothing in return.

Rom 12:1 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service (doing that which is our duty).

Luk 17:10 So likewise ye, when ye shall have done all those things which are commanded you, say, We are unprofitable servants: we have done that which was our duty to do.

The law, typified by Haman, is only the schoolmaster bringing us to Christ, we are  being sold for bondwomen and bondmen being under the law.

Est 7:3 Then Esther the queen answered and said, If I have found favour in thy sight, O  king, and if it please the king, let my life be given me at my petition, and my people at  my request:

Est 7:4 For we are sold, I and my people, to be destroyed, to be slain, and to perish. But  if we had been sold for bondmen and bondwomen, I had held my tongue, although the  enemy could not countervail the king’s damage.

The end goal however is Christ. We are being saved by grace through faith (Eph  2:8). We pray the Lord does not pass us by.

Gal 4:30 Nevertheless what saith the scripture? Cast out the bondwoman and her son:  for the son of the bondwoman shall not be heir with the son of the freewoman.  Gal 4:31 So then, brethren, we are not children of the bondwoman, but of the free.

Exo 33:13 Now therefore, I pray thee, if I have found grace in thy sight, shew me now thy way, that I may know thee, that I may find grace in thy sight: and consider that this nation is thy people.

Gen 18:3 And said, My Lord, if now I have found favour in thy sight, pass not away, I pray thee, from thy servant:

The king’s wrath

The king’s decision is for Esther’s request, because of her humility shown before the king:

2Ch 34:27 Because thine heart was tender, and thou didst humble thyself before God, when thou heardest his words against this place, and against the inhabitants thereof, and humbledst thyself before me, and didst rend thy clothes, and weep before me; I have even heard thee also, saith the LORD.

Jas 4:10 Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he shall lift you up.

Est 7:5 Then the king Ahasuerus answered and said unto Esther the queen, Who is he,  and where is he, that durst presume in his heart to do so?

Est 7:6 And Esther said, The adversary and enemy is this wicked Haman. Then  Haman was afraid before the king and the queen.

Godly jealousy

The king is good to Esther in type and shadow is what the Lord “being good” to us really means. The Lord bringing tender mercies to us is all about the old man being destroyed in His jealousy and wrath so the new man is coming forth.

Psa 145:9 The LORD is good to all: and his tender mercies are over all his works.

Psa 119:156 Great are thy tender mercies, O LORD: quicken me according to thy judgments.

Heb 12:6 For whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth, and scourgeth every son whom he receiveth.

Rom 5:20 Moreover the law entered, that the offence might abound. But where sin abounded, grace did much more abound:

Est 7:7 And the king arising from the banquet of wine in his wrath went into the palace  garden: and Haman stood up to make request for his life to Esther the queen; for he  saw that there was evil determined against him by the king.

Haman, the Pharisee, within us all, hinders us to go unto the kingdom of God and  hinders others too. It defiles. It is the leaven of hypocrisy, saying and not doing.

Est 7:8 Then the king returned out of the palace garden into the place of the banquet of  wine; and Haman was fallen upon the bed whereon Esther was. Then said the king,  Will he force the queen also before me in the house? As the word went out of the king’s  mouth, they covered Haman’s face.

Luk 11:52 Woe unto you, lawyers! for ye have taken away the key of knowledge: ye  entered not in yourselves, and them that were entering in ye hindered.

Luk 11:53 And as he said these things unto them, the scribes and the Pharisees began to  urge him vehemently, and to provoke him to speak of many things:

Haman’s destruction is swift. The Lords destroys the wicked with the brightness of His  coming (2Th 2:8).

Est 7:9 And Harbonah, one of the chamberlains, said before the king, Behold also, the  gallows fifty cubits high, which Haman had made for Mordecai, who had spoken good  for the king, standeth in the house of Haman. Then the king said, Hang him thereon.

Est 7:10 So they hanged Haman on the gallows that he had prepared for Mordecai.  Then was the king’s wrath pacified.

Num 16:30 But if the LORD make a new thing, and the earth open her mouth, and  swallow them up, with all that appertain unto them, and they go down quick into the  pit; then ye shall understand that these men have provoked the LORD.

The law being changed

Est 8:1 On that day did the king Ahasuerus give the house of Haman the Jews’ enemy  unto Esther the queen. And Mordecai came before the king; for Esther had told what  he was unto her.

Est 8:2 And the king took off his ring, which he had taken from Haman, and gave it  unto Mordecai. And Esther set Mordecai over the house of Haman.

Heb 7:12 For the priesthood being changed, there is made of necessity a change also of  the law.

Heb 7:18 For there is verily a disannulling of the commandment going before for the  weakness and unprofitableness thereof.

Heb 7:19 For the law made nothing perfect, but the bringing in of a better hope did; by  the which we draw nigh unto God.

Saviors arise

God’s elect are His channel through which He intends to bring all men to Himself, and that includes bringing all Israel to himself when “the fullness of the Gentiles is come in:

Eze 16:55 When thy sisters, Sodom and her daughters, shall return to their former estate, and Samaria and her daughters shall return to their former estate, then thou and thy daughters shall return to your former estate.

Rom 11:32  For God hath concluded them all in unbelief, that he might have mercy upon all.

The saviours are the people of God, the Lord is raising up through whom the greater works of salvation via judgment will be accomplished.

Oba 1:21  And saviours shall come up on mount Zion to judge the mount of Esau; and the kingdom shall be the LORD’S.

Joh 14:12  Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.

Salvation is accomplished by the Spiritual Jews, God’s very Elect in this age and in the lake of fire to come.

Joh 4:22  Ye worship ye know not what: we know what we worship: for salvation is of the Jews.

Continuing reading the story ….

Est 8:3 And Esther spake yet again before the king, and fell down at his feet, and  besought him with tears to put away the mischief of Haman the Agagite, and his  device that he had devised against the Jews.

Est 8:4 Then the king held out the golden sceptre toward Esther. So Esther arose, and  stood before the king,

Est 8:5 And said, If it please the king, and if I have found favour in his sight, and the  thing seem right before the king, and I be pleasing in his eyes, let it be written to  reverse the letters devised by Haman the son of Hammedatha the Agagite, which he  wrote to destroy the Jews which are in all the king’s provinces:

Est 8:6 For how can I endure to see the evil that shall come unto my people? or how  can I endure to see the destruction of my kindred?

Est 8:7 Then the king Ahasuerus said unto Esther the queen and to Mordecai the Jew,  Behold, I have given Esther the house of Haman, and him they have hanged upon the  gallows, because he laid his hand upon the Jews.

Esther, in type and shadow, is the saviour of her people as God sends Christ to be the savior of this world, so also Christ sends His Christ to be “saviors.”

Joh 20:21 Then said Jesus to them again, Peace [be] unto you: as my Father hath sent me, even so send I you.

Sealed with the king’s ring

As Christ is the fullness of His Father, so too, is the church, which is His body, the fullness of Him [Christ]. Christ’s inheritance is in His saints. Without them, by God’s decree, Christ has no inheritance. Mordecai and Esther in type and shadow, are being used by the king to do his will:

Eph 1:18 The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints,

Est 8:8 Write ye also for the Jews, as it liketh you, in the king’s name, and seal it with  the king’s ring: for the writing which is written in the king’s name, and sealed with the  king’s ring, may no man reverse.

The Lord makes known His manifold wisdom through the  Church

Eph 3:10 To the intent that now unto the principalities and powers in heavenly places  might be known by the church the manifold wisdom of God,

Eph 3:11 According to the eternal purpose which he purposed in Christ Jesus our Lord:

Eph 3:12 In whom we have boldness and access with confidence by the faith of him.

Est 8:9 Then were the king’s scribes called at that time in the third month, that is, the  month Sivan, on the three and twentieth day thereof; and it was written according to  all that Mordecai commanded unto the Jews, and to the lieutenants, and the deputies  and rulers of the provinces which are from India unto Ethiopia, an hundred twenty  and seven provinces, unto every province according to the writing thereof, and unto  every people after their language, and to the Jews according to their writing, and  according to their language.

Est 8:10 And he wrote in the king Ahasuerus’ name, and sealed it with the king’s ring,  and sent letters by posts on horseback, and riders on mules, camels, and young  dromedaries:

Esther demonstrates how to be a yielded vessel.  She exercised the patience required to obey God, she was obedient, which produced the fruit of salvation of her people.

Esther pleases her husband

When and if we are prisoners of Christ (with patience, long suffering), we feel and act the same way as the servant towards his master. We seek to please our Husband, as His virtuous wife, and that reflects in how we act day in and day out.

Neh 2:5 And I said unto the king, If it please H2895 the king, and if thy servant have found favour in thy sight, that thou wouldest send me unto Judah, unto the city of my fathers’ sepulchres, that I may build it.

Est 1:19 If it please H2895 the king, let there go a royal commandment from him, and let it be written among the laws of the Persians and the Medes, that it be not altered, That Vashti come no more before king Ahasuerus; and let the king give her royal estate unto another that is better than she.

Est 7:3 Then Esther the queen answered and said, If I have found favour in thy sight, O king, and if it please H2895 the king, let my life be given me at my petition, and my people at my request:

Put away the wicked one

All the people is hearing…… the Jews are to be ready against that day to avenge  themselves on their enemies.

Act 1:8 But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.

Est 8:11 Wherein the king granted the Jews which were in every city to gather  themselves together, and to stand for their life, to destroy, to slay, and to cause to  perish, all the power of the people and province that would assault them, both little  ones and women, and to take the spoil of them for a prey,

Est 8:12 Upon one day in all the provinces of king Ahasuerus, namely, upon the  thirteenth day of the twelfth month, which is the month Adar.

Est 8:13 The copy of the writing for a commandment to be given in every province was  published unto all people, and that the Jews should be ready against that day to  avenge themselves on their enemies.

Est 8:14 So the posts that rode upon mules and camels went out, being hastened and  pressed on by the king’s commandment. And the decree was given at Shushan the  palace.

Est 8:15 And Mordecai went out from the presence of the king in royal apparel of blue  and white, and with a great crown of gold, and with a garment of fine linen and  purple: and the city of Shushan rejoiced and was glad.

We are striving for an incorruptible crown.

1Co 9:25 And every man that striveth for the mastery is temperate in all things. Now they do it to obtain a corruptible crown; but we an incorruptible.

Mordecai’s clothing represents royal apparel blue (heavenly) and white, and a garment of fine linen (righteousness of the saints) and purple (royalty).

Eze 44:16 They shall enter into my sanctuary, and they shall come near to my table, to minister unto me, and they shall keep my charge.

Eze 44:17 And it shall come to pass, that when they enter in at the gates of the inner court, they shall be clothed with linen garments; and no wool shall come upon them, whiles they minister in the gates of the inner court, and within.

There is a time when we rejoice in the Truth of the Word.

Est 8:16 The Jews had light, and gladness, and joy, and honour.

Est 8:17 And in every province, and in every city, whithersoever the king’s  commandment and his decree came, the Jews had joy and gladness, a feast and a good  day. And many of the people of the land became Jews; for the fear of the Jews fell upon  them.

Act 2:43 And fear came upon every soul: and many wonders and signs were done by  the apostles.

Act 2:44 And all that believed were together, and had all things common;

Act 2:45 And sold their possessions and goods, and parted them to all men, as every  man had need.

Act 2:46 And they, continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread  from house to house, did eat their meat with gladness and singleness of heart,  Act 2:47 Praising God, and having favour with all the people. And the Lord added to  the church daily such as should be saved.

Mordecai waxes greater

Est 9:1 Now in the twelfth month, that is, the month Adar, on the thirteenth day of the  same, when the king’s commandment and his decree drew near to be put in execution,  in the day that the enemies of the Jews hoped to have power over them, (though it was  turned to the contrary, that the Jews had rule over them that hated them;)

Est 9:2 The Jews gathered themselves together in their cities throughout all the  provinces of the king Ahasuerus, to lay hand on such as sought their hurt: and no man  could withstand them; for the fear of them fell upon all people.

Est 9:3 And all the rulers of the provinces, and the lieutenants, and the deputies, and  officers of the king, helped the Jews; because the fear of Mordecai fell upon them.

Est 9:4 For Mordecai was great in the king’s house, and his fame went out throughout  all the provinces: for this man Mordecai waxed greater and greater.

Jos 3:7 And the LORD said unto Joshua, This day will I begin to magnify thee in the sight of all Israel, that they may know that, as I was with Moses, so I will be with thee.

Zec 8:12 For the seed shall be prosperous; the vine shall give her fruit, and the ground  shall give her increase, and the heavens shall give their dew; and I will cause the  remnant of this people to possess all these things.

Est 9:5 Thus the Jews smote all their enemies with the stroke of the sword, and  slaughter, and destruction, and did what they would unto those that hated them.

Est 9:6 And in Shushan the palace the Jews slew and destroyed five hundred men.

Est 9:7 And Parshandatha, and Dalphon, and Aspatha,

Est 9:8 And Poratha, and Adalia, and Aridatha,

Est 9:9 And Parmashta, and Arisai, and Aridai, and Vajezatha,

The ten sons of Haman hanged

Est 9:10 The ten sons of Haman the son of Hammedatha, the enemy of the Jews, slew  they; but on the spoil laid they not their hand.

Est 9:11 On that day the number of those that were slain in Shushan the palace was  brought before the king.

Est 9:12 And the king said unto Esther the queen, The Jews have slain and destroyed  five hundred men in Shushan the palace, and the ten sons of Haman; what have they  done in the rest of the king’s provinces? now what is thy petition? and it shall be  granted thee: or what is thy request further? and it shall be done.

Est 9:13 Then said Esther, If it please the king, let it be granted to the Jews which are  in Shushan to do tomorrow also according unto this day’s decree, and let Haman’s ten  sons be hanged upon the gallows.

Est 9:14 And the king commanded it so to be done: and the decree was given at  Shushan; and they hanged Haman’s ten sons.

The flesh has to go or better said:

Rom 7:4 Wherefore, my brethren, ye also are become dead to the law by the body of  Christ; that ye should be married to another, even to him who is raised from the dead,  that we should bring forth fruit unto God.

Rom 7:5 For when we were in the flesh, the motions of sins, which were by the law, did  work in our members to bring forth fruit unto death.

Rom 7:6 But now we are delivered from the law, that being dead wherein we were  held; that we should serve in newness of spirit, and not in the oldness of the letter.

The Jews obtain salvation through Esther and Mordecai

Let us read the story first:

Est 9:15 For the Jews that were in Shushan gathered themselves together on the  fourteenth day also of the month Adar, and slew three hundred men at Shushan; but  on the prey they laid not their hand.

Est 9:16 But the other Jews that were in the king’s provinces gathered themselves  together, and stood for their lives, and had rest from their enemies, and slew of their  foes seventy and five thousand, but they laid not their hands on the prey,

Est 9:17 On the thirteenth day of the month Adar; and on the fourteenth day of the  same rested they, and made it a day of feasting and gladness.

Est 9:18 But the Jews that were at Shushan assembled together on the thirteenth day  thereof, and on the fourteenth thereof; and on the fifteenth day of the same they rested,  and made it a day of feasting and gladness.

Est 9:19 Therefore the Jews of the villages, that dwelt in the unwalled towns, made the  fourteenth day of the month Adar a day of gladness and feasting, and a good day, and  of sending portions one to another.

Est 9:20 And Mordecai wrote these things, and sent letters unto all the Jews that were  in all the provinces of the king Ahasuerus, both nigh and far,

Est 9:21 To stablish this among them, that they should keep the fourteenth day of the  month Adar, and the fifteenth day of the same, yearly,

Est 9:22 As the days wherein the Jews rested from their enemies, and the month which  was turned unto them from sorrow to joy, and from mourning into a good day: that  they should make them days of feasting and joy, and of sending portions one to  another, and gifts to the poor.

Est 9:23 And the Jews undertook to do as they had begun, and as Mordecai had  written unto them;

Est 9:24 Because Haman the son of Hammedatha, the Agagite, the enemy of all the  Jews, had devised against the Jews to destroy them, and had cast Pur, that is, the lot,  to consume them, and to destroy them;

Est 9:25 But when Esther came before the king, he commanded by letters that his  wicked device, which he devised against the Jews, should return upon his own head,  and that he and his sons should be hanged on the gallows.

Est 9:26 Wherefore they called these days Purim after the name of Pur. Therefore for  all the words of this letter, and of that which they had seen concerning this matter, and  which had come unto them,

Est 9:27 The Jews ordained, and took upon them, and upon their seed, and upon all  such as joined themselves unto them, so as it should not fail, that they would keep these  two days according to their writing, and according to their appointed time every year;

Est 9:28 And that these days should be remembered and kept throughout every  generation, every family, every province, and every city; and that these days of Purim  should not fail from among the Jews, nor the memorial of them perish from their seed.

Est 9:29 Then Esther the queen, the daughter of Abihail, and Mordecai the Jew, wrote  with all authority, to confirm this second letter of Purim.

Est 9:30 And he sent the letters unto all the Jews, to the hundred twenty and seven  provinces of the kingdom of Ahasuerus, with words of peace and truth,

Est 9:31 To confirm these days of Purim in their times appointed, according as  Mordecai the Jew and Esther the queen had enjoined them, and as they had decreed  for themselves and for their seed, the matters of the fastings and their cry.

Est 9:32 And the decree of Esther confirmed these matters of Purim; and it was  written in the book.

Est 10:1 And the king Ahasuerus laid a tribute upon the land, and upon the isles of the  sea.

Est 10:2 And all the acts of his power and of his might, and the declaration of the  greatness of Mordecai, whereunto the king advanced him, are they not written in the  book of the chronicles of the kings of Media and Persia?

Est 10:3 For Mordecai the Jew was next unto king Ahasuerus, and great among the  Jews, and accepted of the multitude of his brethren, seeking the wealth of his people,  and speaking peace to all his seed.

Summary

This story ends in the salvation of the Jews and the destruction of their enemies who would have destroyed them. This brings us to the question of how the kingdoms of this world will be given over to the firstfruits unto God and to the Lamb, who is and will be ruling the earth for “a thousand years”. These events in the book of Esther, are types and shadows and happened and are written for our admonition (1Co 10:11).

The story of Esther and Mordecai symbolizes the destruction of the enemies of God’s elect who wants to destroy us. In this study we focus on the within and we know there will be a without at the appointed times. All of these events foreshadow in some way what is taking place before we are being given our rulership of the kingdoms of this world just as Mordecai and Esther were given dominion over all the provinces of the Medo-Persian empire, after destroying those who would destroy them. Mordecai and Esther, as types of us, are separated from Christ first by Vashti and then by Haman. Both symbolize the enemies of the cross of Christ.

Php 3:18 (For many walk, of whom I have told you often, and now tell you even weeping, that they are the enemies of the cross of Christ:

Php 3:19 Whose end is destruction, whose God is their belly, and whose glory is in their shame, who mind earthly things).

This is what we are told happens at that time when the kingdoms of this world… become the kingdoms of our Lord and His Christ within and without in its seasons.

Rev 11:1 And there was given me a reed like unto a rod: and the angel stood, saying, Rise, and measure the temple of God, and the altar, and them that worship therein.

Rev 11:2 But the court which is without the temple leave out, and measure it not; for it is given unto the Gentiles: and the holy city shall they tread under foot forty and two months. [Luk 21:24 “…until the times of the Gentiles be fulfilled. “]

Rev 11:3 And I will give power unto my two witnesses, and they shall prophesy a thousand two hundred and threescore days, clothed in sackcloth.

Rev 11:4 These are the two olive trees, and the two candlesticks standing before the God of the earth.

Rev 11:5 And if any man will hurt them, fire proceedeth out of their mouth, and devoureth their enemies: and if any man will hurt them, he must in this manner be killed.

It is only after God’s elect (Esther) come to be favored by the powers that be (king Ahasuerus), that the ten horns (Haman) makes war with the Lamb and are being destroyed by the Lamb (Rev 17:14). Haman is promoted by the king after the rejection of Vashti. Haman, as the Pharisee, is the enemy of the Jews. We are being hated and threatened for our lives within before we are being given to destroy our enemies. It is “the Lord and His Christ” who are typified by Mordecai and the people of Esther who are being slated for destruction by our enemies. We are naturally enemies of Christ because the carnal mind is not able to be subject to Christ and is being created in vanity.

As a type of Christ, Esther lays down her life for her people by appearing before the king without first being given a summons from the king and typifies our being willing to be “crucified with Christ” even as our enemies are intent upon our destruction.

The deliverance of Mordecai and Esther and the Jews from the gallows of Haman, all typify how we are being given favor of the leaders of this world within and in due time without, before we are being delivered from the hands of the ten horns of that same beast. This is just saying we first eat of the tree of good and evil before we eat of the tree of Life. The kingdoms of this world supernaturally become the kingdoms of our Lord and His Christ as Christ and His angels destroys the old man. Haman is hanged on the same gallows he had intended for Mordecai……. Out of your own mouth you will be judged your wicked servant…. (Luk 19:22).

In every case our salvation comes only after it becomes abundantly evident that the enemy is winning…… the law is not for a righteous man but for murderers …… and it is all intended to convey to us that we are being drafted by God and are not seeking to be offered up, and when we are disobedient when slaying the Lord, we, are not the winners but the losers, and that the Lord and us was and are being saved from death… in that He feared and we are being taught to fear Him.

Heb 5:7 Who in the days of his flesh, when he had offered up prayers and supplications with strong crying and tears unto him that was able to save him from death, and was heard in that he feared;

Esther as type is a shadow of Christ and His Christ who say the same thing under the same circumstances:

Luk 22:42 Saying, Father, if thou be willing, remove this cup from me: nevertheless not my will, but thine, be done.

It is very interesting that it is “the king” who orders both the destruction and the salvation of the Lord’s people. It is at the banquet that Esther is promised by the king to give her request “to the half of [his] kingdom”. Esther, as the type of God’s elect, devises a means of overcoming the impossible task of reversing the effect of the king’s proclamation to destroy all the Jews in all of his 127 provinces (Est 1:1). These 127 provinces typify “the nations in the four quarters of the earth” over whom God’s elect are granted to rule for a thousand years:

Rev 2:26 And he that overcometh, and keepeth my works unto the end, to him will I give power over the nations:

Rev 2:27 And he shall rule them with a rod of iron; as the vessels of a potter shall they be broken to shivers: even as I received of my Father.

This “broken to shivers” prophecy was fulfilled in type when the Jews were given to destroy all their enemies throughout the entire 127 provinces of the Medo-Persian empire (Est 9:1-4). This story, along with the story of Joseph and the story of Daniel and Shadrach, Meshech and Abednego, gives us the principles by which Christ is supernaturally making “the kingdoms of this world to become the kingdoms of our Lord and His Christ”. He troubles the powers that be, and He strikes them with a fear that cause us to favor His Word to the point we see Christ and His Christ as our only salvation. His is the power which gives men their thoughts, and with that power He is capable of working all things after the counsel of His own will (Eph 1:11).

Isa 66:15 For, behold, the LORD will come with fire, and with his chariots like a whirlwind, to render his anger with fury, and his rebuke with flames of fire.

Isa 66:16  For by fire and by his sword will the LORD plead with all flesh: and the slain of the LORD shall be many.

Isa 66:17  They that sanctify themselves, and purify themselves in the gardens behind one tree in the midst, eating swine’s flesh, and the abomination, and the mouse, [all the abominable false doctrines of men] shall be consumed together, saith the LORD.

Isa 66:18  For I know their works and their thoughts: it shall come, that I will gather all nations and tongues; and they shall come, and see my glory.

Luk 12:32 Fear not, little flock; for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the  kingdom.

Luk 1:54 He hath holpen his servant Israel, in remembrance of his mercy; Psa 112:6 Surely, he shall not be moved forever: the righteous shall be in everlasting remembrance.

Ecc 7:8 Better is the end of a thing than the beginning thereof: and the patient in spirit is better than the proud in spirit

And lastly, looking at the word Pur, Purim, reveals the meaning of a broken piece.

H6332 פּוּר    פּוּרים    פּרים pûr  pûrı̂ym  pûrı̂ym poor, poo-reem’, poo-reem’ From H6331; a lot (as by means of a broken piece): – Pur, Purim.

Book of Esther Part 1 – The Main Players

Book of Esther Part 1 – The Main Players

Two Benjamites (meaning son of the right hand H1144 from H1121 & H3225), Mordecai and Esther (types of us), are being used by Christ to save the whole Jewish nation (the Israel of God in type) and bring freedom from the Babylonian and Persian (Egyptian) rule within us and without in due seasons at the appointed times. We are looking within first and see the book of Esther as type and shadow of the mystery of the Kingdom of God (Mark 4:11) being revealed IN US today.

Est 2:5  Now in Shushan the palace there was a certain Jew, whose name was Mordecai, the son of Jair, the son of Shimei, the son of Kish, a Benjamite;

Est 2:6  Who had been carried away from Jerusalem with the captivity which had been carried away with Jeconiah king of Judah, whom Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon had carried away.

Est 2:7  And he brought up Hadassah, that is, Esther, his uncle’s daughter: for she had neither father nor mother, and the maid was fair and beautiful; whom Mordecai, when her father and mother were dead, took for his own daughter.

The Apostle Paul (a Benjamite), is another example of how Christ is using the tribe of Benjamin. Paul declares that he was in physical terms from this tribe, which he counted as loss to his spiritual connection in Christ (Rom 11:1). This spiritual conversion to deem flesh as nothing, is also seen in the name change from the old Benjamite name of “Saul”, to “Paul” (meaning “little”):

Php 3:4  Though I might also have confidence in the flesh. If any other man thinketh that he hath whereof he might trust in the flesh, I more:

Php 3:5  Circumcised the eighth day, of the stock of Israel, of the tribe of Benjamin, an Hebrew of the Hebrews; as touching the law, a Pharisee;

Php 3:6  Concerning zeal, persecuting the church; touching the righteousness which is in the law, blameless.

Php 3:7  But what things were gain to me, those I counted loss for Christ.

Spiritually Benjamin typifies those, who are sealed to be the spiritual Israel of God knowing that they are the wolves who completely devour and destroy the prey of flesh in the evening to eat His Bread in the morning – the resurrection from death (Exo 12:10; Exo 16:12; Psa 50:22; Hos 6:1). We are the witnesses of all the works of Christ in us, we are the wolves that divide the spiritual “spoil” among all in Adam is, was and will be within and without. In this process, we will be used and are being used by Christ to eventually bring spiritual harmony to all through our Head, Jesus Christ, at the appointed times (Oba 1:21; Eph 1:10).

Rev 7:8……Of the tribe of Benjamin were sealed twelve thousand.

Isa 11:6  The wolf also shall dwell with the lamb, and the leopard shall lie down with the kid; and the calf and the young lion and the fatling together…..

Our “first man Adam”, has to die, and that through the death of that “first man Adam.… [our] new man, the last Adam”, is being born into “the kingdom of God.… within [each of us]” (Act 17:20-21). Spiritually speaking we are to count ourselves as having died to our old man and having already been resurrected in our new man, all in “earnest”, down-payment form, yet in spiritual reality.

Eph 1:11  In whom also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestinated according to the purpose of him who worketh all things after the counsel of his own will:

Eph 1:12  That we should be to the praise of his glory, who first trusted in Christ.

Eph 1:13  In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise,

Eph 1:14  Which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of his glory.

Let’s look now at the main players in this ancient story that tells of our spiritual marriage and salvation and all the people of God.

ESTHER

We see that Esther (type of Christ) is a lowly, orphaned Jewish maid, fair and beautiful called to be a queen, called to be the Bride of Christ (Est 2 :5-7), Christ’s true sons.

Luk 1:52 He hath put down the mighty from their seats, and exalted them of low degree.

1Sa 2:8 He raiseth up the poor out of the dust, and lifteth up the beggar from the dunghill, to set them among princes, and to make them inherit the throne of glory: for the pillars of the earth are the LORD’S, and he hath set the world upon them.

Esther has no lineage, as is Melchisedec, king of Salem, king of Peace, priest of God (Gen 14:18).

Heb 7:3 Without father, without mother, without descent, having neither beginning of days, nor end of life; but made like unto the Son of God; abideth a priest continually.

Psa 27:10 When my father and my mother forsake me, then the LORD will take me up.

As He is, so are we (1 John 4:17) and we are being made into a royal priesthood.

1Pe 2:9 But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light:

AHASUERUS, THE KING

Christ and His Bride are being given the kingdoms of this world within via the agency of Ahasuerus, the king of the great Medo-Persian Empire. The way Christ is bringing this about was to cause the king to want to have a feast at which he displayed all the glory of his kingdom to all of His subjects. This is types and shadows of us. All the kingdoms of the world is found in Egypt.

Est 1:1  Now it came to pass in the days of Ahasuerus (this was the Ahasuerus who reigned over one hundred and twenty-seven provinces, from India to Ethiopia),

Est 1:2  in those days when King Ahasuerus sat on the throne of his kingdom, which was in Shushan the citadel,

Est 1:3  that in the third year of his reign he made a feast for all his officials and servants—the powers of Persia and Media, the nobles, and the princes of the provinces being before him—

Est 1:4  when he showed the riches of his glorious kingdom and the splendor of his excellent majesty for many days, one hundred and eighty days in all.

Ahasuerus entertained the princes and nobles of the provinces and then he entertained the common men. He allowed the queen, Vashti, to make a feast for the women in his royal house.

Est 1:5  And when these days were completed, the king made a feast lasting seven days for all the people who were present in Shushan the citadel, from great to small, in the court of the garden of the king’s palace.

Est 1:6  There were white and blue linen curtains fastened with cords of fine linen and purple on silver rods and marble pillars; and the couches were of gold and silver on a mosaic pavement of alabaster, turquoise, and white and black marble.

Est 1:7  And they served drinks in golden vessels, each vessel being different from the other, with royal wine in abundance, according to the generosity of the king.

Est 1:8  In accordance with the law, the drinking was not compulsory; for so the king had ordered all the officers of his household, that they should do according to each man’s pleasure.

Est 1:9  Queen Vashti also made a feast for the women in the royal palace which belonged to King Ahasuerus.

We, as king Ahasuerus (Mat 4:4), as the first Adam, come behind in no gift but are yet carnal. Christ IS not come yet; our day of judgement is not here yet. We are feasting but without Christ. Our drinking is according to the law, and we do so for our own pleasure ….

Jas 4:3 Ye ask, and receive not, because ye ask amiss, that ye may consume it upon  your lusts.

Jas 4:4 Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is  enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of  God.

Who are we before Christ and His holy angels come to us, before our day of judgement?

Eze 16:5 None eye pitied thee, to do any of these unto thee, to have compassion upon thee; but thou wast cast out in the open field, to the lothing of thy person, in the day that thou wast born.

Eze 16:6 And when I passed by thee, and saw thee polluted in thine own blood, I said unto thee when thou wast in thy blood, Live; yea, I said unto thee when thou wast in thy blood, Live.

Eph 2:12 That at that time ye were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope, and without God in the world:

Jud 1:12 These are spots in your feasts of charity, when they feast with you, feeding themselves without fear: clouds they are without water, carried about of winds; trees whose fruit withereth, without fruit, twice dead, plucked up by the roots;

Jdg 21:25 In those days there was no king in Israel: every man did that which was right in his own eyes.

VASHTI

On the seventh day, Ahasuerus, sent for Queen Vashti (typifying Egypt, an earlier type of Babylon) to show off her beauty.

Est 1:12 But the queen Vashti refused to come at the king’s commandment by his chamberlains: therefore, was the king very wroth, and his anger burned in him.

Vashti was rebellious to the king and it made him angry. God’s plan in action was for Esther to replace Vashti. We are chosen before the world began (2 Tim 1:9).  Vashti, typifies all that is in the world, to be carnally minded, is enmity against Christ and His Christ.

Rom 8:6 For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and  peace.

Rom 8:7 Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law  of God, neither indeed can be.

Pro 31:30 Favour is deceitful, and beauty is vain: but a woman that feareth the LORD, she shall be praised.

1Sa 15:23 For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft, and stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry. Because thou hast rejected the word of the LORD, he hath also rejected thee from being king.

Eph 5:22 Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord.

The Lord removes Vashti in order to start placing His bride in charge of the affairs of the kingdoms of this world within and without at the appointed times. What that tells us is that the ten horns on the beast destroys the great harlot before “the kingdoms of this world… become the kingdoms of our Lord and His Christ”. Ahasuerus, the king, removes Vashti and later in the story he destroys Haman before Mordecai and Esther are being freed from their enemies to place Christ and His Christ on the throne. Mordecai and Esther are types of us.

Rev 17:16 And the ten horns which thou sawest upon the beast, these shall hate the  whore, and shall make her desolate and naked, and shall eat her flesh, and burn her  with fire.

Rev 17:17 For God hath put in their hearts to fulfil his will, and to agree, and give their  kingdom unto the beast, until the words of God shall be fulfilled.

So, the king sends for his wise men to get advice on a decision concerning Vashti according to the law. We, as the king in type and shadow, do not judge according to Christ’s Law but according to the law (Rom 2:15) is, was and will be in due seasons. We do not judge righteously at this point in time. Our carnal reasoning tells us to get rid of Vashti, Egypt does not deliver.

Est 1:16 And Memucan answered before the king and the princes, Vashti the queen hath not done wrong to the king only, but also to all the princes, and to all the people that are in all the provinces of the king Ahasuerus.

Est 1:17 For this deed of the queen shall come abroad unto all women, so that they shall despise their husbands in their eyes, when it shall be reported, The king Ahasuerus commanded Vashti the queen to be brought in before him, but she came not.

Est 1:18 Likewise shall the ladies of Persia and Media say this day unto all the king’s princes, which have heard of the deed of the queen. Thus, shall there arise too much contempt and wrath.

1Co 12:26 And whether one member suffer, all the members suffer with it; or one member be honoured, all the members rejoice with it.

Gal 5:9 A little leaven leaveneth the whole lump.

A decree is sent out throughout the empire that Vashti comes before the king no more, her royal estate being given to another (Est 1:19) and that wives are to give honour to their husbands (Est 1:20) and that every man bear rule in his own house.

Est 1:20 And when the king’s decree which he shall make shall be published throughout all his empire, (for it is great,) all the wives shall give to their husbands honour, both to great and small.

Coming out of Egypt, the Queen to be is being made without spot or wrinkle. Esther goes through a purification process which is the washing of water by the Word.

Est 2:2 Then said the king’s servants that ministered unto him, Let there be fair young virgins sought for the king:

Est 2:4 And let the maiden which pleaseth the king be queen instead of Vashti. And the thing pleased the king; and he did so.

Eph 5:25 Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave  himself for it;

Eph 5:26 That he might sanctify and cleanse (purification) it with the washing of  water by the word,

Eph 5:27 That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or  wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish.

Esther is chosen out of all the virgins. She found favor with the keeper of the women, Hegai, God’s plan is at work for His elect (the new replacing the old).

Est 2:8 So it came to pass, when the king’s commandment and his decree was heard,  and when many maidens were gathered together unto Shushan the palace, to the  custody of Hegai, that Esther was brought also unto the king’s house, to the custody of  Hegai, keeper of the women.

Est 2:9 And the maiden pleased him, and she obtained kindness of him; and he speedily gave her things for purification, with such things as belonged to her, and seven maidens, which were meet to be given her, out of the king’s house: and he preferred her and her maids unto the best place of the house of the women.

Esther obtained favor from all who saw her, including the king. Esther knew who had placed her on the throne of the Medes and the Persians, and she was/is being faithful to her uncle Mordecai (a type of Christ), whom God had used to place her on the throne.

Pro 3:5 Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own  understanding.

Est 2:17 And the king loved Esther above all the women, and she obtained grace and favour in his sight more than all the virgins; so that he set the royal crown upon her head, and made her queen instead of Vashti.

Rom 9:21 Hath not the potter power over the clay, of the same lump to make one vessel unto honour, and another unto dishonour?

Mat 22:14 For many are called, but few are chosen.

Esther as types of us is the king’s first love at this stage. The king makes a feast (Esther’s feast Est 2:18) and gives gifts. We, at this stage of our walk through the knowledge of truth that we have, are giving gifts to others. We are rich and increased with goods.

Luk 21:1 And he looked up, and saw the rich men casting their gifts into the treasury.

1Ti 6:17 Charge them that are rich in this world, that they be not high-minded, nor trust in uncertain riches, but in the living God, who giveth us richly all things to enjoy;

MORDECAI

Esther was charged by Mordechai (an Israelite, H4782), her uncle, not to reveal her kindred. Her time is not ready yet. Let both the wheat and the tares grow together until the time of harvest…. (Matt 13:30)

Est 2:20 Esther had not yet shewed her kindred nor her people; as Mordecai, had charged her: for Esther did the commandment of Mordecai, like as when she was brought up with him.

Est 2:10 Esther had not shewed her people nor her kindred: for Mordecai, had charged her that she should not shew it.

Exo 19:5 Now therefore, if ye will obey my voice indeed, and keep my covenant, then ye shall be a peculiar treasure unto me above all people: for all the earth is mine:

The Lord sets a plan for Mordecai, a “certain Jew”, who had been in captivity to establish his rulership, Mordecai here shadows John, the Baptist, who goes in the spirit of Elias to prepare the king’s heart, to make ready. The king is being saved by Mordecai at this time and shadows us hearing the Word. Spiritually speaking, hearing the Word of God leading to faith (faith comes by hearing Rom 10:17) is the preparation (hearing, trials) leading to the Passover (dying to self) that redeems us. Later in the story, Ahasuerus, the king is troubled, and remembers Mordecai and delights to honour him. As the process of judgement (fiery trials) continues in our lives, we delight in hearing Christ to obey Him.

Luk 1:17 And he shall go before him in the spirit and power of Elias, to turn the hearts  of the fathers to the children, and the disobedient to the wisdom of the just; to make  ready a people prepared for the Lord.

Here is how it plays out:

Est 2:21 In those days, while Mordecai sat in the king’s gate, two of the king’s chamberlains, Bighting and Teresh, of those which kept the door, were worth, and sought to lay hand on the king Ahasuerus.

Est 2:22 And the thing was known to Mordecai, who told it unto Esther the queen; and Esther certified the king thereof in Mordecai’s name.

Est 2:23 And when inquisition was made of the matter, it was found out; therefore, they were both hanged on a tree: and it was written in the book of the chronicles before the king.

Let us take note that Ahasuerus loved Esther more than the other women but he still has other women (concubines) as was king Solomon, the dream is one. Marriage is between one woman and one man, concubines do not cut it, Christ is a jealous for His throne.

Zec 1:14 So the angel that communed with me said unto me, Cry thou, saying, Thus saith the LORD of hosts; I am jealous for Jerusalem and for Zion with a great jealousy.

HAMAN

Haman (a Persian vizier H2001), in the story represents the man of sin, that is set up by the king and given a seat above all. Haman (the old man) will be and are being replaced by Mordecai (the new man, the true spiritual Jew in type) if we are Christ’s. Haman is the abomination of desolation standing in the Temple of God…… (Mark 13:14). His name reminds us of another vizier, Joseph, who raises to become the second most powerful man apart from the king. In Joseph, we see the positive application and in Haman we see the negative application.

Est 3:1 After these things did king Ahasuerus promote Haman the son of Hammedatha the Agagite, and advanced him, and set his seat above all the princes  that were with him.

Est 3:2 And all the king’s servants, that were in the king’s gate, bowed, and reverenced Haman: for the king, had so commanded concerning him. But Mordecai bowed not, nor did him reverence.

Est 3:3 Then the king’s servants, which were in the king’s gate, said unto Mordecai, Why transgresses thou the king’s commandment?

Est 3:4 Now it came to pass, when they spake daily unto him, and he hearkened not unto them, that they told Haman, to see whether Mordecai’s matters would stand: for he had told them that he was a Jew.

Est 3:5 And when Haman saw that Mordecai bowed not, nor did him reverence, then was Haman full of wrath.

Haman, as type of the Pharisee within us, not only wants to destroy Mordecai but also all the Jews, in other words, Haman in us seeks to destroy the Israel of God. We have another witness of the same event in Dan 3:12. Haman has the leaven of hypocrisy within his heart. This is us, is, was and will be in our day of the Lord as the hidden things of darkness is coming to the Light…… we are sometimes darkness, but now are we light in the Lord…. (Eph 5:8).

Psa 2:1 Why do the heathen rage, and the people imagine a vain thing?

Psa 2:2 The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together,  against the LORD, and against his anointed, saying,

Psa 2:3 Let us break their bands asunder, and cast away their cords from us.

Psa 2:4 He that sitteth in the heavens shall laugh: the Lord shall have them in derision.

Act 4:27 For of a truth against thy holy child Jesus, whom thou hast anointed, both  Herod, and Pontius Pilate, with the Gentiles, and the people of Israel, were gathered  together,

Act 4:28 For to do whatsoever thy hand and thy counsel determined before to be done.

Haman has the king’s permission and the decree for the destruction of the Jews in the  Persian empire was appointed at the same time when the preparation for the Passover  was made. The trials which the Lord causes whilst we are being prepared causes us to  obey the Lord when it is time to die to self.

Est 3:12 Then were the king’s scribes called on the thirteenth day of the first month, and there was written according to all that Haman had commanded unto the king’s lieutenants, and to the governors that were over every province, and to the rulers of every people of every province according to the writing thereof, and to every people after their language; in the name of king Ahasuerus was it written, and sealed with the king’s ring.

Haman intends to destroy his enemies with the best flesh has to offer namely the law. Money symbolizes knowledge. The law of Moses and the law of the gentiles are not for righteous men but for murderers and evil doers (1 Tim 1:9).

Est 3:9 If it please the king, let it be written that they may be destroyed: and I will pay  ten thousand talents of silver to the hands of those that have the charge of the business,  to bring it into the king’s treasuries.

Est 3:10 And the king took his ring from his hand, and gave it unto Haman the son of  Hammedatha the Agagite, the Jews’ enemy.

Est 3:11 And the king said unto Haman, The silver is given to thee, the people also, to  do with them as it seemeth good to thee.

Mordecai finds out about the decree and he cries a bitter cry in sackcloth and ashes. All the Jews go into great mourning, fasting in sackcloth and ashes. We have an idea what it means to be in sackcloth and ashes and to cry. Spiritual fasting means to repent and change our ways. Here is the true fast.

Isa 58:6 Is not this the fast that I have chosen? to lose the bands of wickedness, to undo the heavy burdens, and to let the oppressed go free, and that ye break every yoke?

Isa 58:7 Is it not to deal thy bread to the hungry, and that thou bring the poor that are  cast out to thy house? when thou seest the naked, that thou cover him; and that thou  hide not thyself from thine own flesh?

Isa 58:8 Then shall thy light break forth as the morning, and thine health shall spring  forth speedily: and thy righteousness shall go before thee; the glory of the LORD shall  be thy reward.

Mordecai in type and shadow like the prophets before him, find out that the little book is sweet in our mouths but bitter in our bellies when we have to walk it out.

Rev 10:9 And I went unto the angel, and said unto him, Give me the little book. And he  said unto me, Take it, and eat it up; and it shall make thy belly bitter, but it shall be in thy mouth sweet as honey.

Rev 10:10 And I took the little book out of the angel’s hand, and ate it up; and it was in  my mouth sweet as honey: and as soon as I had eaten it, my belly was bitter.

Rev 10:11 And he said unto me, Thou must prophesy again before many peoples, and  nations, and tongues, and kings.

Esther was told of this plot by one of the king’s chamberlains. Judas betrayed Christ for thirty shekels of silver, the old man wants to reign through self-righteousness. We sit in Moses’s seat, saying, but not doing and have the righteousness of the law but it is not Christ’s Law. We have to exceed the righteousness of the law and become hearers and doers. Haman promised to pay the king’s treasuries, in other words Haman in us promises victory over his enemies through knowledge.

Est 4:7 And Mordecai told him of all that had happened unto him, and of the sum of the money that Haman had promised to pay to the king’s treasuries for the Jews, to destroy them.

Esther is told by Mordecai that she has to go before the king to make supplication for her and her people. We need to die with Christ because as He is, so are we (1 John 4:17).

Est 4:8 Also he gave him the copy of the writing of the decree that was given at Shushan to destroy them, to shew it unto Esther, and to declare it unto her, and to charge her that she should go in unto the king, to make supplication unto him, and to make request before him for her people.

No one can go unto the king into the inner court without being called or be put to death. The king has lost his first love and Esther have not been called to come unto him in thirty days. Three times ten, ten representing completeness of the flesh and three a process thus thirty days typifying the beginning of judgement of the flesh.

Est 4:11 All the king’s servants, and the people of the king’s provinces, do know, that whosoever, whether man or woman, shall come unto the king into the inner court, who is not called, there is one law of his to put him to death, except such to whom the king shall hold out the golden scepter, that he may live: but I have not been called to come in unto the king these thirty days.

Rev 2:4 Nevertheless I have somewhat against thee, because thou hast left thy first love.

Mordecai lets Esther know that she would not escape being destroyed with the rest of her people. We are a Body collectively and cover each other.

Est 4:13 Then Mordecai commanded to answer Esther, Think not with thyself that thou shalt escape in the king’s house, more than all the Jews.

Est 4:14 For if thou altogether holdest thy peace at this time, then shall there enlargement and deliverance arise to the Jews from another place; but thou and thy father’s house shall be destroyed: and who knoweth whether thou art come to the kingdom for such a time as this?

1Co 12:26 And whether one member suffer, all the members suffer with it; or one member be honoured, all the members rejoice with it.

These are types and shadows of us today. Esther was not saved for her benefit alone, we are not being saved for our own benefit alone, but are being saved and used as the channel of salvation for all the rest of God’s creation.

Rom 11:30 For as ye in times past have not believed God, yet have now obtained mercy through their unbelief:

Rom 11:31 Even so have these also now not believed, that through your mercy they also may obtain mercy.

Like Christ Himself, God’s elect (Mordecai & Esther) is hated by the people who claim to be faithful (Haman) to the king. It is for the church which is His Body, that our afflictions are suffered just as it was with Mordecai and Esther.

Col 1:24 Who now rejoice in my sufferings for you, and fill up that which is behind of the afflictions of Christ in my flesh for his body’s sake, which is the church:

Esther coming before the king as we will see later in the story, contrary to the law, is a type of Christ laying down His life for us. Esther, had determined to obey the Lord, here typified by Mordecai, and let the Lord Himself determine what the outcome of obedience to His Word would be and are be. He works all matters to His own council.

Est 4:16 Go, gather together all the Jews that are present in Shushan, and fast ye for me, and neither eat nor drink three days, night or day: I also and my maidens will fast likewise; and so will I go in unto the king, which [is] not according to the law: and if I perish, I perish.

Abraham, we are told “received Isaac as one raised from the dead”, because Abraham had determined to obey God, and “sacrifice His only son.” Daniel coming forth from the lion’s den and the three Hebrew children represent those who are being raised from the dead as they come forth of the fiery furnace. All who lay down their lives as living sacrifices to God are being buried with Christ in His death and have been and are being raised with Him in glory (obedience) on the third day (day of judgement).

Rom 6:3  Or do you not know that as many of us as were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into His death?

Rom 6:4  Therefore we were buried with Him through baptism into death, that just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.

Rom 6:5  For if we have been united together in the likeness of His death, certainly we also shall be in the likeness of His resurrection,

Rom 6:6  knowing this, that our old man was crucified with Him, that the body of sin might be done away with, that we should no longer be slaves of sin.

Esther informs Mordecai to have all the Jews to fast for her three days and nights and so would she, so she could go unto the king, but would do it even if it meant her life. Three typifies the process of judgment. Paul had to go through a fast for three days.

Act 9:9 And he was three days without sight, and neither did eat nor drink.

Est 4:16 Go, gather together all the Jews that are present in Shushan, and fast ye for me, and neither eat nor drink three days, night or day: I also and my maidens will fast likewise; and so will I go in unto the king, which is not according to the law: and if I perish, I perish.

Joh 12:25 He that loveth his life shall lose it; and he that hateth his life in this world shall keep it unto life eternal.

The Jews were already fasting before Esther asked them to fast for her three days and three nights. mourning among the Jews, and fasting, and weeping, and wailing; and many lay in sackcloth and ashes.

Est 4:3  And in every province where the king’s command and decree arrived, there was great mourning among the Jews, with fasting, weeping, and wailing; and many lay in sackcloth and ashes.

The Jews fasting was done during the Passover and the days of unleavened bread, in the first month, the month of Nisan, typifying the sacrifice of Christ, our spotless Lamb. Passover shadowing us being saved from the death angel! Who is the Passover?

Est 3:7 In the first month, that is, the month Nisan, in the twelfth year of king Ahasuerus, they cast Pur, that is, the lot, before Haman from day to day, and from month to month, to the twelfth month, that is, the month Adar.

Joh 1:29 The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world.

This preparation of the lamb in type in the OT is symbolic of the marriage supper of the Lamb in which Christ calls us His because He covers us with His blood. We see that Christ being the lamb being prepared represents the start of putting sin out of our lives.

Rev 19:9 And he saith unto me, Write, Blessed are they which are called unto the marriage supper of the Lamb. And he saith unto me, These are the true sayings of God.

In the next part we will look at Esther’s appearance before the King.

“I Will Bring Again the Captivity of My People”

Key Verses: Amos 9:9 – 9:15

This prophecy of Amos like all prophecy of judgment ends with salvation which is the very purpose for judgment and the very means of our deliverance from sin (Exo 6:6, Isa 1:27).  The Lord is saving His people right on the timelines declared from the beginning.

Isa 46:10  Declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times the things that are not yet done, saying, My counsel shall stand, and I will do all my pleasure:

Blessed are we, the few chosen (Mat 22:14) and Lord willing the faithful (Rev 17:14) who have been given the gift of faith and the accompanying ears to hear and eyes to see. Here are the verses that complete the prophecy which are ushering in the good news gospel

Amo 9:8  Behold, the eyes of the Lord GOD are upon the sinful kingdom, and I will destroy it from off the face of the earth; saving that I will not utterly destroy the house of Jacob, saith the LORD.

Amo 9:9 For, lo, I will command, and I will sift the house of Israel among all nations, like as corn is sifted in a sieve, yet shall not the least grain fall upon the earth.

Amo 9:10 All the sinners of my people shall die by the sword, which say, The evil shall not overtake nor prevent us.

Amo 9:11 In that day will I raise up the tabernacle of David that is fallen, and close up the breaches thereof; and I will raise up his ruins, and I will build it as in the days of old:

Amo 9:12 That they may possess the remnant of Edom, and of all the heathen, which are called by my name, saith the LORD that doeth this.

Amo 9:13 Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that the plowman shall overtake the reaper, and the treader of grapes him that soweth seed; and the mountains shall drop sweet wine, and all the hills shall melt.

Amo 9:14 And I will bring again the captivity of my people of Israel, and they shall build the waste cities, and inhabit them; and they shall plant vineyards, and drink the wine thereof; they shall also make gardens, and eat the fruit of them.

Amo 9:15 And I will plant them upon their land, and they shall no more be pulled up out of their land which I have given them, saith the LORD thy God.

The Lord’s purpose is always to save us and bring forth Christ by the destruction of our flesh and carnal way of life.

Jer 18:4  And the vessel that he made of clay was marred in the hand of the potter: so he made it again another vessel, as seemed good to the potter to make it.

Rev 21:5  And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful.

As we read these prophecies it is important to remember they all have an “is, was and will be” fulfillment just as do all of the Scriptures (Rev 1:8).  Yet it is The Elect, the true Israel of God in this and the past ages that will be living these words out in this eon (life) as we are prepared to be the rulers, judges and saviours (Oba 1:21) of the Lord in the ages to come.   The rest of mankind will be saved in the lake of fire by the words of fire spoken by the Elect, the deliverer from Sion.

Rom 11:26  And so all Israel shall be saved: as it is written, There shall come out of Sion the Deliverer, and shall turn away ungodliness from Jacob:

Rom 11:27 For this is my covenant unto them, when I shall take away their sins.

And it’s not any man, but only Christ, the Word in us, that is doing the judging and the saving.

Joh 12:48  He that rejecteth me, and receiveth not my words, hath one that judgeth him: the word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day.

Being sifted or shaken in a sieve is how we are brought to our wits ends unable to save ourselves from the stormy trials of the Lord’s whirlwind.  The purpose of the trials and afflictions is to break our fleshly spirit and pride and bring an end to our trusting in anything else but the Lord.   All that is not of faith must be removed from our heavens and our earth.  The shaking and the burning by fire are one in the same; namely the Word working judgment and purging all that needs purging.

Heb 12:26 Whose voice then shook the earth: but now he hath promised, saying, Yet once more I shake not the earth only, but also heaven.

Heb 12:27  And this word, Yet once more, signifieth the removing of those things that are shaken, as of things that are made, that those things which cannot be shaken may remain.

Heb 12:28 Wherefore we receiving a kingdom which cannot be moved, let us have grace, whereby we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear:

Heb 12:29  For our God is a consuming fire.

The old man must be sifted so they only thing remaining will be built on the right foundation of faith.  The man of sin is being destroyed in the same process that Christ in us is being raised up.   We will be saved in that appointed time whether that is in this age or the one to come.  Not the least grain will fall to the earth is another way of saying the Lord will lose nothing whom the Father has given Him.

Joh 10:28  And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.

Joh 6:39 And this is the Father’s will which hath sent me, that of all which he hath given me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up again at the last day.

The natural state of all mankind in these bodies of flesh is a virtual sinning machine (Isa 51:5) made that way on purpose to be destroyed.  The wages of sin are spiritual death (Rom 6:23) but also bring the recompense of the Lord in coming the second time for salvation apart from sin.

Amo 9:10 All the sinners of my people shall die by the sword, which say, The evil shall not overtake nor prevent us.

Jesus Christ is come into the world, not to call the (self) righteous but to save those who know they are sinners and can do no good thing (Mat 9:13, Rom 7:24).  The salvation of sinners is by means of the war that is being fought in the hearts and minds of God’s people.  The soul that sins shall die (Eze 18:20) and that death is by a sword which is the Word that judges us.

Mat 10:34 Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword.

Christ always comes in the darkest part of the spiritual night when we are blinded from the truth and not hearing nor obeying His commandments (famine of the Word) despite our faking it.

Jer 23:17 They say still unto them that despise me, The LORD hath said, Ye shall have peace; and they say unto everyone that walketh after the imagination of his own heart, No evil shall come upon you.

1Th 5:3 For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape.

Isa 59:8 The way of peace they know not; and there is no judgment in their goings: they have made them crooked paths: whosoever goeth therein shall not know peace.

In order to build a new temple and create the new heavens and new earth wherein righteousness will dwell (2Pe 3:13); the old one temple must first be torn down.

Amo 9:11 In that day will I raise up the tabernacle of David that is fallen, and close up the breaches thereof; and I will raise up his ruins, and I will build it as in the days of old

Amo 9:12 That they may possess the remnant of Edom, and of all the heathen, which are called by my name, saith the LORD that doeth this.

These verses have nothing to do with a physical temple or Tabernacle being rebuilt in the end times.  While the whole orthodox world looks at events in modern day Israel and the Middle East and for physical Jews to begin constructing a new physical temple, the Lord has been at work in His Elect building His Church which is the  Temple in which He dwells.

Act 7:48 Howbeit the most High dwelleth not in temples made with hands; as saith the prophet,

Col 2:11 In whom also ye are circumcised with the circumcision made without hands, in putting off the body of the sins of the flesh by the circumcision of Christ:

The temple is rebuilt in three days with the number three signifying the process of spiritual progression and maturity we gain in our day of the Lord (judgment).

Joh 2:19 Jesus answered and said unto them, destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up.

Joh 2:20 Then said the Jews, Forty and six years was this temple in building, and wilt thou rear it up in three days?

Joh 2:21 But he spake of the temple of his body  (Eph 5:30).

But as Amos implies here, a new temple cannot be built until the first one is utterly destroyed.

Mat 24:1 And Jesus went out, and departed from the temple: and his disciples came to him for to shew him the buildings of the temple.

Mat 24:2  And Jesus said unto them, See ye not all these things? verily I say unto you, There shall not be left here one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down.

Flesh and blood are only temporary dwelling places for us in the grand scheme of the Lord’s plan for mankind.  It was not intended and cannot inherit the kingdom of God (1Co 15:50).

Salvation is of the Jews and comes through the Jews but as those words are all spirit and refer to the true Israel of God that have and are being circumcised by the hands of the Lord (Rom 2:28-29).  The disciples came to understand that salvation was for all men and would eventually extend to every man, “the Gentiles”, in the Lord’s timing.

Act 15:13 And after they had held their peace, James answered, saying, Men and brethren, hearken unto me:

Act 15:14  Simeon hath declared how God at the first did visit the Gentiles, to take out of them a people for his name.

Act 15:15  And to this agree the words of the prophets; as it is written,

Act 15:16 After this I will return, and will build again the tabernacle of David, which is fallen down; and I will build again the ruins thereof, and I will set it up:

Act 15:17 That the residue of men might seek after the Lord, and all the Gentiles, upon whom my name is called, saith the Lord, who doeth all these things.

The rebuilding of the temple is for the glory of the Lord and for His namesake.

Eze 36:22 Therefore say unto the house of Israel, Thus saith the Lord GOD; I do not this for your sakes, O house of Israel, but for mine holy name’s sake, which ye have profaned among the heathen, whither ye went.

Eze 39:21 And I will set my glory among the heathen, and all the heathen shall see my judgment that I have executed, and my hand that I have laid upon them.

With a newly built house with new walls (doctrines) and a new foundation (faith in the Word) there is a new roof (head) as we acquire the mind of Christ.  This is the perfect will of God.

1Th 4:3  For this is the will of God, even your sanctification, that ye should abstain from fornication:

1Th 4:4  That every one of you should know how to possess his vessel in sanctification and honour;

Edom symbolizes the first-born man of the flesh “Esau” and comes from the Hebrew word meaning red “adom via adam”.  We possess the remnant of Edom and “all the heathen” nations as we overcome sin in our life and little by little possess the spiritual land that was promised.

Rom 6:6  Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin.

Isa 60:21 Thy people also shall be all righteous: they shall inherit the land for ever, the branch of my planting, the work of my hands, that I may be glorified.

The Restoration of Israel

The restoration of Israel is how these final verses are subtitled in most Bibles including e-Sword.  That is exactly correct yet speaks to spiritual Israel which will ultimately expand to be all mankind in the Lake of Fire.  The harvest of souls, the making alive in the Spirit of every man is assured.  It only awaits the Lord’s times determined for every man from the very beginning.

Amo 9:13 Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that the plowman shall overtake the reaper, and the treader of grapes him that soweth seed; and the mountains shall drop sweet wine, and all the hills shall melt.

The Lord does not always plant or plow as there are many steps to salvation.  There comes a time for the harvest which is the end purpose and salvation.  The harvest is brought in by His laborers (the Elect) in His field.  The last harvest of the three (1Co 15:21-22) is gathered after the Millennium Reign when flesh is destroyed by the fire of judgment in the final feast of ingathering.

Deu 16:13 Thou shalt observe the feast of tabernacles seven days, after that thou hast gathered in thy corn and thy wine:

Exo34:22 And thou shalt observe the feast of weeks, of the firstfruits of wheat harvest, and the feast of ingathering at the year’s end.

Both now and at the white throne judgment, it is the Elect who will do the reaping.

Mat 13:30 Let both grow together until the harvest: and in the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, gather ye together first the tares, and bind them in bundles to burn them: but gather the wheat into my barn.

All Israel (mankind) shall be saved at the end of the Millennium Reign at the great white throne judgment.  This is how the tabernacle of God will be extended to all mankind.

Rev 20:11 And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them.

Rev 20:12  And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works.

Rev 20:13  And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works.

Rev 20:14 And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.

Rev 21:1 And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea.

Spiritual Jerusalem, aka Zion, the Body and Bride of Christ, is the Lord’s Holy Mountain from which come the living waters, the spiritual milk and all true knowledge (wine) regarding the doctrines of the Lord.  The Book of Joel ends very similar as the process of judgment is one.

Joe 3:17 So shall ye know that I am the LORD your God dwelling in Zion, my holy mountain: then shall Jerusalem be holy, and there shall no strangers pass through her any more.

Joe 3:18  And it shall come to pass in that day, that the mountains shall drop down new wine, and the hills shall flow with milk, and all the rivers of Judah shall flow with waters, and a fountain shall come forth of the house of the LORD, and shall water the valley of Shittim.

The water of the washing by the Word is followed by the fire as Christ comes a second time for judgment even to those who will be judged in the Lake of Fire.  Knowing the truth is not enough, we must become doers, and the Lord will make us all overcomers with fire.

Mat 3:11 I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance: but he that cometh after me is mightier than I, whose shoes I am not worthy to bear: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost, and with fire:

The melting of hills is destroying our idols (the high places) in our heavens and earth and bringing the pride of man low.

Nah 1:5 The mountains quake at him, and the hills melt, and the earth is burned at his presence, yea, the world, and all that dwell therein.

2Pe 3:10 But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.

The Elect hold all these roles listed here for the Lord.  I am not taking time to show and prove all of that but here are some quick references.  We are the plowman (Luk 9:62), the reapers (Mat 13:41), the treader’s of grapes (Jer 25:30) and the sower (Mar 4:14).  The Bible is CHRIST CENTRIC and it is knowing who Jesus Christ is and that He is come in a body of flesh today that opens up the eyes of our understanding to see these deep truths.

Joh 14:12 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.

Joh 20:21 Then said Jesus to them again, Peace be unto you: as my Father hath sent me, even so send I you.

It is through the Body of Christ that these greater works are getting done now and in the Lake of Fire.  Christ’s Elect will be the lake of fire, assembled together in one mind from which judgment will come to all men.  The words translated overtaken as in the plowman overtaking the reaper, makes it difficult to understand what is being said.  Of 187 occurrences, it is only translated overtaken here in this one verse of Amos.  A better rendering and more often use of the Hebrew word H5066 “nagash” is to “draw near or draw nigh”.

Amo 9:13 YLT – Lo, days are coming—an affirmation of Jehovah, And come nigh [H5066] hath the ploughman to the reaper, And the treader of grapes to the scatterer of seed, And the mountains have dropped juice, And all the hills do melt.

The time is nigh and the end (salvation) is at hand salvation when we live out our day of the Lord and come through the spiritual earthquake that we were told would be coming from the beginning (Amo 1:1).

Rev 16:18  And there were voices, and thunders, and lightnings; and there was a great earthquake, such as was not since men were upon the earth, so mighty an earthquake, and so great.

When we share the truth with our fellow man, in the appointed times, we reveal Jesus Christ to them and they enter into the day of the Lord as their time is now at hand.  Such will be the process that is followed as all men come to the knowledge of the Truth.

Rev 22:9  Then saith he unto me, See thou do it not: for I am thy fellowservant, and of thy brethren the prophets, and of them which keep the sayings of this book: worship God.

Rev 22:10  And he saith unto me, Seal not the sayings of the prophecy of this book: for the time is at hand.

Righteousness will work it course as we endure and are taught by judgment in the earth meaning our walk and life in this age (Isa 26:9).

Amo 9:14 And I will bring again the captivity of my people of Israel, and they shall build the waste cities, and inhabit them; and they shall plant vineyards, and drink the wine thereof; they shall also make gardens, and eat the fruit of them.

We are all slaves, either to sin or to righteousness.

Rom 6:16  Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness?

And that is what being set free really means.  We are freed from our bondage to sin and made into bondservants of righteousness.

Rom 6:18 Being then made free from sin, ye became the servants of righteousness.

Jesus Christ is come to set the captives free (Luk 4:18) from sin which is our deliverance and salvation.  When the Lord sets us free, we shall be free indeed of our former bondage.  When Christ is exalted in our heavens we are given to put on the mind of Christ, then captivity to sin is taken captive.

Eph 4:8  Wherefore he saith, When he ascended up on high, he led captivity captive, and gave gifts unto men.

Isa 14:2  And the people shall take them, and bring them to their place: and the house of Israel shall possess them in the land of the LORD for servants and handmaids: and they shall take them captives, whose captives they were; and they shall rule over their oppressors.

The Lord does have a good plan for us (Jer 29:10) but that plan requires us to go through many tribulations and experience death to our old man to be saved.  But the Lord caused the former and He alone will be causing the latter when we are dragged to Him.

Jer 29:14  And I will be found of you, saith the LORD: and I will turn away your captivity, and I will gather you from all the nations, and from all the places whither I have driven you, saith the LORD; and I will bring you again into the place whence I caused you to be carried away captive.

Joh 6:44  No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day.

The beast which all men are (Ecc 3:18) is overcome and subdued by Jesus Christ. Vengeance indeed the Lord’s if we are patient to wait for it.

Rev 13:10  He that leadeth into captivity shall go into captivity: he that killeth with the sword must be killed with the sword. Here is the patience and the faith of the saints.

As our obedience is made manifest by judgment (Eze 36:27), then our works are blessed and the desolate cities within are inhabited by the new man Jesus Christ.

Deu 28:1  And it shall come to pass, if thou shalt hearken diligently unto the voice of the LORD thy God, to observe and to do all his commandments which I command thee this day, that the LORD thy God will set thee on high above all nations of the earth:

Deu 28:2  And all these blessings shall come on thee, and overtake thee, if thou shalt hearken unto the voice of the LORD thy God.

Deu 28:3  Blessed shalt thou be in the city, and blessed shalt thou be in the field.

Deu 28:4  Blessed shall be the fruit of thy body, and the fruit of thy ground, and the fruit of thy cattle, the increase of thy kine, and the flocks of thy sheep.

Judgment now is on the house of God (The Elect – 1Pe 4:17) and only those judged now will be the judges (1Co 11:31-32) in the lake of fire.  But the rest of mankind will be raised at the Second Resurrection and it is only then that they will be judged and live through the pain and suffering of judgment, even in spiritual bodies.

1Co 6:2  Do ye not know that the saints shall judge the world? and if the world shall be judged by you, are ye unworthy to judge the smallest matters?

Mat 19:28  And Jesus said unto them, Verily I say unto you, That ye which have followed me, in the regeneration when the Son of man shall sit in the throne of his glory, ye also shall sit upon twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel.

There is no turning back. Salvation is sure and it comes exactly in the Lord’s timetable.  But as we saw earlier, those ordained to be saved will be saved and none shall ever lost.  Once we are planted by the Lord in the HOLY CITY we as Christ, the Word will not return voidl

Amo 9:15 And I will plant them upon their land, and they shall no more be pulled up out of their land which I have given them, saith the LORD thy God.

Here is some good news.  Once we make it, enduring to the very end, there is no reneging or risk of loss.  We shall forever be with the Lord (1Th 4;17) once we are given to overcome.

Rev 3:12 Him that overcometh will I make a pillar in the temple of my God, and he shall go no more out: and I will write upon him the name of my God, and the name of the city of my God, which is new Jerusalem, which cometh down out of heaven from my God: and I will write upon him my new name.

Once judgment is complete, righteous reigns supreme.  Nothing will enter in to the temple and the city that is unclean or an abomination (Rev 21:27).  This is the hope we should have in Christ that is saving us now and will save all men in the Lake of Fire.

Isa 61:3 To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the LORD, that he might be glorified.

The vision of the Holy City and the Lamb’s wife was taught to me and most of us as a view of a physical heaven in which we would live with the Lord forever.  But even now knowing these words are spirit and speak of spiritual things, the visions is even more glorious if we have faith.

Rev 22:2 In the midst of the street of it, and on either side of the river, was there the tree of life, which bare twelve manner of fruits, and yielded her fruit every month: and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations.

Rev 22:3  And there shall be no more curse: but the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it; and his servants shall serve him:

Rom 8:18 For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.

We that know these truths now are so blessed and to be together in One Body so we can hold each other up as we partake of our judgment now with our temple opened in our mind to His Testimony.

Rev 11:19 And the temple of God was opened in heaven, and there was seen in his temple the ark of his testament: and there were lightnings, and voices, and thunderings, and an earthquake, and great hail.
