Revealing the Day of the Lord
Rohnel, and my beloved husband, Peter, servants of God and Christ, unto the twelve tribes scattered in the world beloved of God, called to be saints, to the little children and to the faithful: Grace to you and peace from God our Father, and the Lord Jesus Christ.
1Pe 1:3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,
1Pe 1:4 To an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you,
1Pe 1:5 Who are kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.
1Pe 1:6 Wherein ye greatly rejoice, though now for a season, if need be, ye are in heaviness through manifold temptations:
1Pe 1:7 That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ:
Before we start this wonderful feast the Lord prepared for us, learning about the Day of the Lord, take heed: Enjoy this feast, eat the fat of the land and let our hearts rejoice because the seals of the scroll has been opened [Rev 5:1-9], but we never forget God, our Father, who gave His Commandments through our Lord and Saviour, Christ Jesus. We meditate upon the Commandments of Christ, His flesh and Blood, and we study and meditate upon the Commandments of Christ, keeping them and loving ourselves and our brethren. We can possess all the knowledge about the Day of the Lord and more, but we have to take heed and not forget the Lord, our God. If we do forget Him, He will forget us in this age. Then we will only be saved in the spiritual age to come, as He is the Saviour of all humanity. We believe that we are His in this age, and take great care to hearken unto His Voice, Lord-willing.
Joh 14:15 If ye love me, keep my commandments.
Joh 14:21 He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.
Introduction to the Day of the Lord
Herewith is a very short intro to the Day of the Lord, a Day called by many names and rightly so. There is one event that befalls all of mankind. All of humanity will follow and live by every Word that proceeds out of the mouth of God. All humanity will live by the process of being a natural born beast, and through a fiery process, being made over into the image of Christ. For God’s elect, it happens in every age since Christ, and for the majority, it will happen in the spiritual age to come. We only discuss the path the Lord’s called, chosen, and faithful elect in this age follow, and this is the same path the elect followed in every age since the days of the first Church in the time of the Apostles.
Deu 8:3 And he humbled thee, and suffered thee to hunger, and fed thee with manna, which thou knewest not, neither did thy fathers know; that he might make thee know that man doth not live by bread only, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of the LORD doth man live.
Mat 4:4 But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.
The one event for all is to eat of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. We were created in sin. Adam and Eve were created with carnal minds having the accusing and excusing spirit of our natural father, the devil, and the rebellious spirit of our mother, Eve. Think spiritually. Eating of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil teaches us to discern between good and evil. So we have to eat of this tree first before we can eat of the Tree of Life, which is Christ, who are His Commandments. The Lord creates light out of darkness. Through Adam, sin entered into the world. The Lord created Adam and Eve to sin in disobedience to Him, as it is today.
Ecc 9:2 All things come alike to all: there is one event to the righteous, and to the wicked; to the good and to the clean, and to the unclean; to him that sacrificeth, and to him that sacrificeth not: as is the good, so is the sinner; and he that sweareth, as he that feareth an oath.
Psa 51:5 Behold, I was shapen in iniquity; and in sin did my mother conceive me.
Joh 8:34 Jesus answered them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whosoever committeth sin is the servant of sin.
We are the first man, Adam, and then the Lord makes us over to be the last Adam, which is a quickening Spirit. We all sinned and died spiritually in order for Christ to raise us up from our graves through the Promise, the Holy Spirit, and His Commandments, and that is the Father, and Christ IS COME in our flesh [that is our hearts and minds].
Rom 5:12 Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:
Rom 5:13 (For until the law sin was in the world: but sin is not imputed when there is no law.
Rom 5:14 Nevertheless death reigned from Adam to Moses, even over them that had not sinned after the similitude of Adam’s transgression, who is the figure of him that was to come.
Gal 3:22 But the scripture hath concluded all under sin, that the promise by faith of Jesus Christ might be given to them that believe.
The Lord causes us to eat of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil so that He can make us over by eating of the Tree of Life in our latter days [third Day]. Everything is by God’s design. The Father, through Christ, is causing us to err. We are created with a carnal mind, which is the pride of life. The pride of life is the enemy within us that causes us to sin and rebel against Christ and His Christ. These are the Gentile nations within, in type and shadow, which are against Christ and His laws, that is to say, these enemies are against Christ’s Commandments. This is the first man, Adam.
Isa 63:17 O LORD, why hast thou made us to err from thy ways, and hardened our heart from thy fear? Return for thy servants’ sake, the tribes of thine inheritance.
Isa 63:18 The people of thy holiness have possessed it but a little while: our adversaries have trodden down thy sanctuary.
1Jn 2:16 For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.
The Tree of Life is Christ, and Christ is His Commandments. We naturally do not want to keep the Commandments unless the Lord drags us to Himself through trials and tribulations. Without Christ drawing us to Himself, we cannot come to Him.
Joh 6:44 No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me drag [draw] him: and I will raise him up at the last day.
Joh 15:5 I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.
When Christ makes us over through the Holy Spirit of Promise, the carnal mind passes away. Everything is made new. We have to be reborn, with the Spirit of Promise, to like and do Christ’s Commandments, as the Commandments are not appealing to our flesh.
1Jn 2:17 And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever.
Mat 9:17 Neither do men put new wine into old bottles: else the bottles break, and the wine runneth out, and the bottles perish: but they put new wine into new bottles, and both are preserved.
We live out the predefined plan of the Father through Christ, declared before the foundation of the world. Those whom He is working with in this age, first, are in the world, that is to say, we are in spiritual Egypt, where we are slaves to our carnal minds [Pharaoh]. The Father does all through Christ, thus Christ calls us out of the world, into the Church in the Wilderness [orthodoxy]. As He is, so are we. Christ came out of Egypt in type and shadow, and we come out of spiritual Egypt. This is our first spiritual day. We do not understand the ways of the Lord; His ways are higher than our ways.
Isa 55:8 For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD.
Isa 55:9 For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.
Hos 11:1 When Israel was a child, then I loved him, and called my son out of Egypt.
Mat 2:14 When he arose, he took the young child and his mother by night, and departed into Egypt:
Mat 2:15 And was there until the death of Herod: that it might be fulfilled which was spoken of the Lord by the prophet, saying, Out of Egypt have I called my son.
Called out of Egypt, we are now in the Church in the Wilderness [orthodoxy] under the Law of Moses, where we accept Christ as our Saviour. We are cleaned up a little on the outside, there is some overcoming for a while, but as the Israelites of old, we go round in circles, having the cloud by day and the pillar of fire by night, we have the Lord’s Commandments. The Lord bears us as a son and gives us bread [manna] to eat whilst here. It is not the true Manna, though.
Deu 1:31 And in the wilderness, where thou hast seen how that the LORD thy God bare thee, as a man doth bear his son, in all the way that ye went, until ye came into this place.
Deu 1:32 Yet in this thing ye did not believe the LORD your God,
Deu 1:33 Who went in the way before you, to search you out a place to pitch your tents in, in fire by night, to shew you by what way ye should go, and in a cloud by day.
Exo 16:35 And the children of Israel did eat manna forty years, until they came to a land inhabited; they did eat manna, until they came unto the borders of the land of Canaan.
Joh 6:57 As the living Father hath sent me, and I live by the Father: so he that eateth me, even he shall live by me.
Joh 6:58 This is that bread which came down from heaven: not as your fathers did eat manna, and are dead: he that eateth of this bread shall live for ever.
We soon make a golden calf, that is to say, we believe in the idols of our hearts, the work of our hands, and we are not content with Christ. Reading the history of ancient Israel, we see that we go back and forth, sinning, repenting, sinning, repenting, never entering into the Promised Land. When we do go over Jordan, we rest for a while, but soon, we start fornicating with the nations left in the land. We have many idols, committing adultery under every green tree [Christmas], and many more heathen practices of the heathen nations around us in spirit, we do. Think spiritually.
Deu 9:16 And I [Moses] looked, and, behold, ye had sinned against the LORD your God, and had made you a molten calf: ye had turned aside quickly out of the way which the LORD had commanded you.
Jer 3:13 Only acknowledge thine iniquity, that thou hast transgressed against the LORD thy God, and hast scattered thy ways to the strangers under every green tree, and ye have not obeyed my voice, saith the LORD.
1Co 12:2 Ye know that ye were Gentiles, carried away unto these dumb idols, even as ye were led.
The Lord is very angry with us and soon pulls us out of the Churches, and we enter into our second spiritual day. The Lord scatters us in a place called spiritual Assyria, where the Lord has given us over to Satan for the destruction of our flesh so we may be saved in the Day of the Lord [third day]. We are very proud and glorying, and we have many idols of the heart and lies within, forgetting the Lord and His ways. We are Israel in type and shadow.
2Ki 17:23 Until the LORD removed Israel out of his sight, as he had said by all his servants the prophets. So was Israel carried away out of their own land to Assyria unto this day.
Jer 50:17 Israel is a scattered sheep; the lions have driven him away: first the king of Assyria hath devoured him; and last this Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon hath broken his bones.
1Co 5:5 To deliver such an one unto Satan for the destruction of the flesh, that the spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord Jesus.
1Co 5:6 Your glorying is not good. Know ye not that a little leaven leaveneth the whole lump?
We are being taken captive by our spiritual enemies and end up in spiritual Babylon, that GREAT HARLOT, Eve, the mother of us all. Spiritual Jerusalem and the King of Babylon, Nebuchadnezzar, are all one and the same symbols for spiritual Babylon. Our time of captivity is seventy years.
Jer 25:10 Moreover I will take from them the voice of mirth, and the voice of gladness, the voice of the bridegroom, and the voice of the bride, the sound of the millstones, and the light of the candle.
Jer 25:11 And this whole land shall be a desolation, and an astonishment; and these nations shall serve the king of Babylon seventy years.
Jer 25:12 And it shall come to pass, when seventy years are accomplished, that I will punish the king of Babylon, and that nation, saith the LORD, for their iniquity, and the land of the Chaldeans, and will make it perpetual desolations.
Rev 17:4 And the woman was arrayed in purple and scarlet colour, and decked with gold and precious stones and pearls, having a golden cup in her hand full of abominations and filthiness of her fornication:
Rev 17:5 And upon her forehead was a name written, MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH.
We are in our mother’s womb, spiritual Jerusalem, to this day until our time of Visitation by the Lord. Assyria and Babylon spoil us, and only a very small remnant escapes to this day. Many are still born, in this Day, dead while they live. They have heard the true Gospel but do not believe.
Job 3:16 Or as an hidden untimely birth I had not been; as infants which never saw light.
Hos 9:7 The days of visitation are come, the days of recompence are come; Israel shall know it: the prophet is a fool, the spiritual man is mad, for the multitude of thine iniquity, and the great hatred.
Luk 19:43 For the days shall come upon thee, that thine enemies shall cast a trench about thee, and compass thee round, and keep thee in on every side,
Luk 19:44 And shall lay thee even with the ground, and thy children within thee; and they shall not leave in thee one stone upon another; because thou knewest not the time of thy visitation.
We are slaves to our carnal minds [slayed by the sword within] and are worshipping the beast, the man of sin within each of us. We are the glory of the kingdoms of the earth. We are merchants having great treasures and are the great men of the earth. Our trading has brought in much. Spiritual Babylon is going to be and is being destroyed when the Lord comes to us. We worship the creation [ourselves] rather than the Creator [Christ], and the Lord gives us over to a reprobate mind [Rom 1:28].
Isa 13:19 And Babylon, the glory of kingdoms, the beauty of the Chaldees’ excellency, shall be as when God overthrew Sodom and Gomorrah.
Jer 27:22 They shall be carried to Babylon, and there shall they be until the day that I visit them, saith the LORD; then will I bring them up, and restore them to this place.
Rev 3:17 Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked:
Rev 18:23 And the light of a candle shall shine no more at all in thee; and the voice of the bridegroom and of the bride shall be heard no more at all in thee: for thy merchants were the great men of the earth; for by thy sorceries were all nations deceived.
After the appointed time, that is, our spiritual seventy years, our time of captivity, the Lord sends His mighty angels who preach the Gospel. Angels are the resurrected Christ on the earth who have been raised from the spiritually dead themselves and sent to preach the Gospel [See Revelation 10]. If the Lord has mercy on us, He opens our eyes to see and ears to hear, so we can see and understand that He is the Son of God. Now, the birthing process begins.
Rev 14:6 And I saw another angel fly in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach unto them that dwell on the earth, and to every nation, and kindred, and tongue, and people
Jer 29:10 For thus saith the LORD, That after seventy years be accomplished at Babylon I will visit you, and perform my good word toward you, in causing you to return to this place.
Jer 29:11 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.
Mat 16:15 He saith unto them, But whom say ye that I am?
Mat 16:16 And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God.
Mat 16:17 And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven.
With much tribulation and in anguish, we are now born again. Zion, Eve, the mother of us all, delivers the man-child, that is to say Christ, in us. The Lord punishes Assyria and Babylon when He IS COME.
Jer 50:18 Therefore thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Behold, I will punish the king of Babylon and his land, as I have punished the king of Assyria.
Jer 50:19 And I will bring Israel again to his habitation, and he shall feed on Carmel and Bashan, and his soul shall be satisfied upon mount Ephraim and Gilead.
Isa 66:9 Shall I bring to the birth, and not cause to bring forth? saith the LORD: shall I cause to bring forth, and shut the womb? saith thy God.
1Pe 1:22 Seeing ye have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit unto unfeigned love of the brethren, see that ye love one another with a pure heart fervently:
1Pe 1:23 Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever.
We are being raised from our spiritual graves because Christ and the Father IS Come in our flesh. Christ is the resurrection, and when the Promise comes to us, we are being resurrected.
Eze 37:5 Thus saith the Lord GOD unto these bones; Behold, I will cause breath to enter into you, and ye shall live:
Eze 37:6 And I will lay sinews upon you, and will bring up flesh upon you, and cover you with skin, and put breath in you, and ye shall live; and ye shall know that I am the LORD.
Joh 11:25 Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live:
Being born again, we have been sealed with the Holy Spirit of Promise when we were conceived. We no longer walk in darkness, but strive to know and keep the Lord’s Commandments, preaching and teaching as we go.
Joh 3:6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.
Joh 3:7 Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.
2Co 1:21 Now he which stablisheth us with you in Christ, and hath anointed us, is God;
2Co 1:22 Who hath also sealed us, and given the earnest of the Spirit in our hearts.
Thus, we enter the Day of the Lord, when Christ makes us perfect in love, that is, perfect in obedience. We are perfected as our Heavenly Father, now sitting in our heaven, is perfect. It is a process to the end. Christ takes great vengeance on spiritual Babylon, our enemies within. We are now in our own land, the Promised Land.
Eze 37:13 And ye shall know that I am the LORD, when I have opened your graves, O my people, and brought you up out of your graves,
Eze 37:14 And shall put my spirit in you, and ye shall live, and I shall place you in your own land: then shall ye know that I the LORD have spoken it, and performed it, saith the LORD.
Act 1:4 And, being assembled together with them, commanded them that they should not depart from Jerusalem, but wait for the promise of the Father, which, saith he, ye have heard of me.
Act 1:5 For John truly baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost not many days hence.
Being born again, we now know how to discern between good and evil. We are spiritual and judge all things. We have the foundational principles of Christ, which are shown to us on this day: the Baptism of John and the Baptism of Fire, the Resurrection from the Dead, the Laying on of Hands, Eternal Judgement, and the Faith of Christ. We leave these principles to go unto perfection.
1Co 2:15 But he that is spiritual judgeth all things, yet he himself is judged of no man.
1Co 2:16 For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? But we have the mind of Christ.
Heb 6:1 Therefore leaving the principles of the doctrine of Christ, let us go on unto perfection; not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works, and of faith toward God,
Heb 6:2 Of the doctrine of baptisms, and of laying on of hands, and of resurrection of the dead, and of eternal judgment.
Heb 6:3 And this will we do, if God permit.
We are now growing in the Grace of God, awaiting the appearing of Christ more and more as we go from glory to glory in this Day. We first see in a glass darkly, but as the mustard seed, the holy seed of Christ grows in us, we see Him face to face in our latter end. We never saw His Face before. This day is our third spiritual day. Please refer to this study, Growing in the Grace and Knowledge of God, on www.truthinscripture.com.
Deu 32:20 And he said, I will hide my face from them, I will see what their end shall be: for they are a very froward generation, children in whom is no faith.
Deu 32:21 They have moved me to jealousy with that which is not God; they have provoked me to anger with their vanities: and I will move them to jealousy with those which are not a people; I will provoke them to anger with a foolish nation.
2Co 3:17 Now the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.
2Co 3:18 But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord.
The Baptism of John makes us Ready
Everything starts when the Gospel of Christ Jesus, which is His Commandments, is being preached, and now the end has come; it is the end of the ages for our natural man. The Baptism of John, which is the Baptism of Repentance, prepares us for this Great Day, cleaning us, sanctifying us from all the lies, false doctrines, and idols of the heart that we acquired during our walk. We are having a spiritual Baptism [John], a bath, being washed with water [Commandments], and now the Bride has made herself ready for the Bridegroom. We are being prepared for the Baptism of Fire, which is the Baptism into Christ, which is the Day of the Lord, destroying all carnal-mindedness within us and ushering in true and lasting righteousness as we grow in this Grace, keeping His Commandments.
Mal 4:5 Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the LORD:
Mal 4:6 And he shall turn the heart of the fathers to the children, and the heart of the children to their fathers, lest I come and smite the earth with a curse.
Mat 17:12 But I say unto you, That Elias is come already, and they knew him not, but have done unto him whatsoever they listed. Likewise shall also the Son of man suffer of them.
Luk 1:17 And he shall go before him in the spirit and power of Elias, to turn the hearts of the fathers to the children, and the disobedient to the wisdom of the just; to make ready a people prepared for the Lord.
Rev 21:2 And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.
When the Gospel is preached [Elijah, the Prophet coming to us], we see the man of sin, who is also the abomination of desolation, sitting in our temple. The Lord quickly destroys this man of sin within each of us at the appointed times.
Ezk 14:8 And I will set my face against that man [man of sin], and will make him a sign and a proverb, and I will cut him off from the midst of my people; and ye shall know that I am the LORD.
2Th 2:3 Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;
2Th 2:4 Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.
Seeing the man of lawlessness, the Lord causes us to repent of our many sins and change our direction. Hearing the Gospel gives us the Faith of Christ, and now we sanctify ourselves and make ourselves clean and ready for our Bridegroom [we wash ourselves by being in the Word]. The Voice of the Lord is His Commandments. Faith comes by hearing, and the Lord’s angels lay their hands on those who hear them. We ask and wait for the Promise with patience and long-suffering.
Job 37:5 God thundereth marvellously with his voice; great things doeth he, which we cannot comprehend.
Mat 7:7 Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:
Mat 7:8 For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.
Mat 7:9 Or what man is there of you, whom if his son ask bread, will he give him a stone?
Rom 10:17 So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
The Lord’s angels, the Apostles, receive the Promise by direct revelation through the early and latter rain. [Gal 1:11-12]. All by the Lord’s design. They now preach the Gospel and travail in birth for their spiritual children, the little flock they are given to shepherd to be born again.
Zec 10:1 Ask ye of the LORD rain in the time of the latter rain; so the LORD shall make bright clouds, and give them showers of rain, to every one grass in the field.
Jas 5:7 Be patient therefore, brethren, unto the coming of the Lord. Behold, the husbandman waiteth for the precious fruit of the earth, and hath long patience for it, until he receive the early and latter rain.
Gal 4:19 My little children, of whom I travail in birth again until Christ be formed in you,
This is the process of being born again and then entering into the Day of the Lord. It is the biggest blessing ever for the spiritual man and the most miserable existence for the natural man inside of us. Many letters can be written about this great Day, but for now, we suffice.
Ecc 8:6 Because to every purpose there is time and judgment, therefore the misery of man is great upon him.
Joh 3:8 The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit.

All these days describe the same “great Day” when the Lord makes an end to the enemies in the land, that is, Christ makes an end to the enemies within our hearts and minds, which is also known as salvation.
In this great and terrible day, the old us is being destroyed, and all things are being made new. This day turns everything upside down in our lives. This day takes place when we are gathered with the remnant the Lord is saving, the little flock in Mt. Zion, which is the true spiritual Jerusalem.
Joe 2:31 The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the great and the terrible day of the LORD come.
Joe 2:32 And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the LORD shall be delivered: for in mount Zion and in Jerusalem shall be deliverance, as the LORD hath said, and in the remnant whom the LORD shall call.
Here is a sampling of how this Day is portrayed and explored in the following details of the study. We have heaped up spiritual riches without Christ. We are His people, but have forsaken Him by forsaking Christ’s Commandments and not keeping them. Our rebellion against Christ has a determined end, salvation in this great day of the Lord.
Jer 12:3 But thou, O LORD, knowest me: thou hast seen me, and tried mine heart toward thee: pull them [enemies within] out like sheep for the slaughter, and prepare them for the day of slaughter.
Jer 17:17 Be not a terror unto me: thou art my hope in the day of evil.
1Th 5:2 For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night.
Heb 10:30 For we know him that hath said, Vengeance belongeth unto me, I will recompense, saith the Lord. And again, The Lord shall judge his people.
Jas 5:5 Ye have lived in pleasure on the earth, and been wanton; ye have nourished your hearts, as in a day of slaughter.
It is the Baptism of Fire
It takes fire and the second coming of Christ to begin this great Day in our heaven and earth, that is, our hearts and minds. It is our Baptism of Fire, the Baptism into our death. The Baptism of Fire comes about by obeying Christ’s commandments. Being baptized into Christ’s death requires that we become more like Christ, dying daily, keeping His Commandments.
Zep 1:14 The great day of the LORD is near, it is near, and hasteth greatly, even the voice of the day of the LORD: the mighty man shall cry there bitterly.
1Co 15:31 I protest by your rejoicing which I have in Christ Jesus our Lord, I die daily.
Rom 6:4 Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.
Our Baptism of Fire is being baptized into Christ’s Commandments. It is preaching, believing, and obeying the Gospel. To be found worthy to see Christ as He is, is the greatest honour ever bestowed on man, that is to say, to know Christ Jesus, and God, the Father. This is life aionios [eternal]. Our Baptism of Fire declares our works.
1Co 1:23 But we preach Christ crucified, unto the Jews a stumblingblock, and unto the Greeks foolishness;
Joh 6:54 Whoso eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, hath eternal life; and I will raise him up at the last day.
Joh 17:3 And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent.
1Co 3:13 Every man’s work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man’s work of what sort it is.
It is the Lake of Fire
The Day of the Lord is the Lake of Fire. All the enemies within are destroyed, even death [spiritual] itself. The day of the wicked is short-lived.
Job 20:5 That the triumphing of the wicked is short, and the joy of the hypocrite but for a moment?
Job 20:6 Though his excellency mount up to the heavens, and his head reach unto the clouds;
Job 20:7 Yet he shall perish for ever like his own dung: they which have seen him shall say, Where is he?
2Th 2:8 And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming:
The beast, false prophet, death, and hell are just symbols for our carnal mindedness, which Satan, the power of the prince of the air, drives. The beast, the false prophet, the devil that deceived us, the dead, meaning those not found in the Book of Life, are judged and destroyed on this spiritual Day. Death and hell are being cast into the Lake of Fire such that there is no more death.
Eph 2:2 Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience:
Rev 20:10 And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever.
Rev 20:14 And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.
Rev 20:15 And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.
1Co 15:26 The last enemy that shall be destroyed is death.
It is the Two-edged Sword
Like all words, the term “the Day of the Lord” is part of the two-edged sword, the Word of God. That is to say, depending on whether the old mindset or the renewing mindset is in view, this term can be applied in both a positive and a negative way.
Psa 149:5 Let the saints be joyful in glory: let them sing aloud upon their beds.
Psa 149:6 Let the high praises of God be in their mouth, and a two-edged sword in their hand;
Heb 4:12 For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.
This truth is hidden behind the letter of the words and only revealed to the precious few who have been given wisdom and understanding and the keys to the Kingdom of Heaven. To see and read with spiritual eyes and discernment, having our blind eyes and deaf ears opened, is the mercy of the Lord that endures forever.
Mat 13:11 He answered and said unto them, Because it is given unto you to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it is not given.
Eph 1:17 That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him:
Eph 1:18 The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints,
On one hand, we are told that the Lord’s coming will be a great light and very bright, yet on the other hand, this Day is also said to be very dark.
Isa 9:2 The people that walked in darkness have seen a great light: they that dwell in the land of the shadow of death, upon them hath the light shined.
Amo 5:20 Shall not the day of the LORD be darkness, and not light? even very dark, and no brightness in it?
Mat 4:16 The people which sat in darkness saw great light; and to them which sat in the region and shadow of death light is sprung up.
Rev 22:16 I Jesus have sent mine angel to testify unto you these things in the churches. I am the root and the offspring of David, and the bright and morning star.
Here are more examples in the Old Testament of the Word of God being light and dark at the same time.
Exo 14:19 And the angel of God, which went before the camp of Israel, removed and went behind them; and the pillar of the cloud went from before their face, and stood behind them:
Exo 14:20 And it came between the camp of the Egyptians and the camp of Israel; and it was a cloud and darkness to them, but it gave light by night to these: so that the one came not near the other all the night.
Psa 139:12 Yea, the darkness hideth not from thee; but the night shineth as the day: the darkness and the light are both alike to thee.
It is the Day of Slaughter
This is the Day; the Lord slaughters all that is ungodly in us. All the Gentile nations within us, those rebellious nations against Christ’s Commandments. As the Lord was led like a lamb to the slaughter and as we are being killed all day long, being led to the slaughter, so the Lord’s enemies are being slaughtered in this great Day.
Psa 44:22 Yea, for thy sake are we killed all the day long; we are counted as sheep for the slaughter.
Act 8:32 The place of the scripture which he read was this, He was led as a sheep to the slaughter; and like a lamb dumb before his shearer, so opened he not his mouth:
The slaughter is the eating up of all the enemies of the Lord, the destruction of our flesh. Nothing is spared, and the eagles gather where the carcass is. The victory over the Lord’s enemies is swift by the rider on the white horse, who now judges and makes war against the enemies.
Rev 19:17 And I saw an angel standing in the sun; and he cried with a loud voice, saying to all the fowls that fly in the midst of heaven, Come and gather yourselves together unto the supper of the great God;
Rev 19:18 That ye may eat the flesh of kings, and the flesh of captains, and the flesh of mighty men, and the flesh of horses, and of them that sit on them, and the flesh of all men, both free and bond, both small and great.
Rev 19:19 And I saw the beast, and the kings of the earth, and their armies, gathered together to make war against him that sat on the horse, and against his army.
Rev 19:20 And the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet that wrought miracles before him, with which he deceived them that had received the mark of the beast, and them that worshipped his image. These both were cast alive into a lake of fire burning with brimstone.
Rev 19:21 And the remnant were slain with the sword of him that sat upon the horse, which sword proceeded out of his mouth: and all the fowls were filled with their flesh.
Our enemies are being slaughtered within. They will never enter into the Promised Land [Christ], nor can they. Our enemies within defile us; Christ only comes to a pure Bride. Our enemies within have to be slaughtered.
Isa 14:21 Prepare slaughter for his children for the iniquity of their fathers; that they do not rise, nor possess the land, nor fill the face of the world with cities.
Isa 14:22 For I will rise up against them, saith the LORD of hosts, and cut off from Babylon the name, and remnant, and son, and nephew, saith the LORD.
2Co 11:2 For I am jealous over you with godly jealousy: for I have espoused you to one husband, that I may present you as a chaste virgin to Christ.
2Co 11:3 But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ.
It is the First Resurrection
On this day, we are being resurrected from our spiritual graves to give an account of our works. To Christ in us, this is the resurrection unto life, and to the natural man in us, this is the resurrection of damnation. Think spiritually. Only the Commandments of Christ can resurrect us to bring about the new man. All of our secret sins come to His marvellous Light. Christ is the resurrection.
Ezk 37:6 And I will lay sinews upon you, and will bring up flesh upon you, and cover you with skin, and put breath in you, and ye shall live; and ye shall know that I am the LORD.
Ezk 37:13 And ye shall know that I am the LORD, when I have opened your graves, O my people, and brought you up out of your graves,
Dan 12:2 And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt.
Joh 11:25 Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live:
Joh 11:26 And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. Believest thou this?
Joh 5:28 Marvel not at this: for the hour is coming, in the which all that are in the graves shall hear his voice,
Joh 5:29 And shall come forth; they that have done good, unto the resurrection of life; and they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of damnation.
It is the Day of Judgment
Our Day of Judgment is the greatest blessing ever. We are counted worthy to not only believe in Christ’s Name but also suffer for His Name as we receive the adoption of the sons of Christ in earnest, in down payment, we ourselves bearing witness that we are the sons of Christ. It is the glorious liberty of the children of God.
Isa 1:27 Zion shall be redeemed with judgment, and her converts with righteousness.
Isa 5:16 But the LORD of hosts shall be exalted in judgment, and God that is holy shall be sanctified in righteousness.
Rom 8:15 For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father.
Rom 8:16 The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God:
Isa 48:10 Behold, I have refined thee, but not with silver; I have chosen thee in the furnace of affliction.
It is only through a fiery furnace and a process that Christ in us, the Hope of Glory, emerges as the Overcomer. Our carnal and sinful ways are being burned up through this “Day,” which is our Day of Judgment, otherwise known as the Lake of Fire.
Joh 9:39 And Jesus said, For judgment I am come into this world, that they which see not might see; and that they which see might be made blind.
2Th 1:4 So that we ourselves glory in you in the churches of God for your patience and faith in all your persecutions and tribulations that ye endure:
2Th 1:5 Which is a manifest token of the righteous judgment of God, that ye may be counted worthy of the kingdom of God, for which ye also suffer:
This day marks the end of our abiding in spiritual death. The kingdom of darkness run by the devil [the carnal mind of every man that is death], also known as the prince of the power of the air, is destroyed, and the saints are set free from their bondage to sin.
1Co 15:54 So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory.
1Co 15:55 O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory?
1Co 15:56 The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law.
Heb 2:14 Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil;
Spiritual Babylon is Fallen
All of God’s people come out of spiritual Babylon within our hearts and minds. Alas, the Day of the Lord is for everyone called and chosen in this generation and in every generation since the days of the early Church. Spiritual Babylon is in each of us until the day we hear the Gospel preached to us, and God, in His great mercy, opens our understanding. Spiritual Babylon is fallen when the Father and the Lord come and make Their abode in us.
Isa 21:9 And, behold, here cometh a chariot of men, with a couple of horsemen. And he answered and said, Babylon is fallen, is fallen; and all the graven images of her gods he hath broken unto the ground.
Ezk 25:7 Behold, therefore I will stretch out mine hand upon thee, and will deliver thee for a spoil to the heathen; and I will cut thee off from the people, and I will cause thee to perish out of the countries: I will destroy thee; and thou shalt know that I am the LORD.
We are called out of spiritual Babylon. Babylon within us sits on many nations inside of us. The Lord makes her pay double for her abominations.
2Co 6:17 Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you,
Rev 17:15 And he saith unto me, The waters which thou sawest, where the whore sitteth, are peoples, and multitudes, and nations, and tongues.
Rev 18:4 And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues.
It is the Day of Salvation
The Day of the Lord is the Day of our salvation. The Lord, [His Commandments], is exalted within our hearts and minds. Now, we live if we hold fast to what we have heard from the beginning. Our enemies within cry bitterly, but our souls rejoice. We are being judged. We learn righteousness.
Isa 26:9 With my soul have I desired thee in the night; yea, with my spirit within me will I seek thee early: for when thy judgments are in the earth, the inhabitants of the world will learn righteousness.
Joh 12:48 He that rejecteth me, and receiveth not my words, hath one that judgeth him: the word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day.
The Father and Son live in us and give us wisdom and understanding. The Lord’s people come out of the root of Jesse [David] in type and shadow. Wisdom [Christ] and understanding [the Father] are what enlighten us.
Isa 11:2 And the spirit of the LORD shall rest upon him [Christ in us], the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the LORD;
Col 1:9 For this cause we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to desire that ye might be filled with the knowledge of his will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding;
The Lord travails like a travailing woman to bring us forth. We have a new Name, the Name of Christ. We have Christ’s righteousness, His Commandments, which both destroy and devour all that defiles us.
Isa 42:14 I have long time holden my peace; I have been still, and refrained myself: now will I cry like a travailing woman; I will destroy and devour at once.
Isa 62:2 And the Gentiles shall see thy righteousness, and all kings thy glory: and thou shalt be called by a new name, which the mouth of the LORD shall name.
It is the Day we are being saved from ourselves. Only Christ and the Father in us are able to save us from such a great death.
Isa 62:3 Thou shalt also be a crown of glory in the hand of the LORD, and a royal diadem in the hand of thy God.
Jer 32:27 Behold, I am the LORD, the God of all flesh: is there any thing too hard for me?
Joh 14:20 At that day ye shall know that I am in my Father, and ye in me, and I in you.
It is the Renewed Covenant
The Day of the Lord is when the Lord makes a Renewed Covenant with us. It is the Day we shine as lights to the Gentiles within and without. It is the Day we are being established in our own land. The Gentiles within us hear the Gospel, and now they hunger and thirst no more. Likewise, we, the children of God, are a Covenant to the peoples, the Gentiles without. We set the nations free and show mercy by opening the eyes of the nations within and without to the Gospel. The nations’ hunger and thirst no more. Think spiritually.
Isa 49:8 Thus saith the LORD, In an acceptable time have I heard thee, and in a day of salvation have I helped thee: and I will preserve thee, and give thee for a covenant of the people, to establish the earth, to cause to inherit the desolate heritages;
Isa 49:9 That thou mayest say to the prisoners, Go forth; to them that are in darkness, Shew yourselves. They shall feed in the ways, and their pastures shall be in all high places.
Isa 49:10 They shall not hunger nor thirst; neither shall the heat nor sun smite them: for he that hath mercy on them shall lead them, even by the springs of water shall he guide them.
Mat 5:6 Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled.
The Lord makes a Renewed Covenant with us and puts His Laws and His Gospel into our hearts and minds. On this Day, we all know the Lord, that is, all those who are now born again of water and the Spirit. The living commandments have resurrected us to life on this Day.
Ezk 16:62 And I will establish my covenant with thee; and thou shalt know that I am the LORD:
Jer 31:33 But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; After those days, saith the LORD, I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their God, and they shall be my people.
Jer 31:34 And they shall teach no more every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the LORD: for they shall all know me, from the least of them unto the greatest of them, saith the LORD: for I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more.
Heb 8:10 For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, saith the Lord; I will put my laws into their mind, and write them in their hearts: and I will be to them a God, and they shall be to me a people:
Heb 8:11 And they shall not teach every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the Lord: for all shall know me, from the least to the greatest.
The Lord now directs us in the way that we go because we are His, and He is the Head of His Church and not man.
Isa 61:8 For I the LORD love judgment, I hate robbery for burnt offering; and I will direct their work in truth, and I will make an everlasting covenant with them.
Joh 14:18 I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you.
We, the true children of God, are now sent to the Gentiles [in Spirit]. We are formed from the womb to be the Lord’s servant. We raise up the tribes of Jacob. Think spiritually. The Lord sends us to bear His Name, His Gospel, to the Gentiles within and without.
Isa 49:5 And now, saith the LORD that formed me from the womb to be his servant, to bring Jacob again to him, Though Israel be not gathered, yet shall I be glorious in the eyes of the LORD, and my God shall be my strength.
Isa 49:6 And he said, It is a light thing that thou shouldest be my servant to raise up the tribes of Jacob, and to restore the preserved of Israel: I will also give thee for a light to the Gentiles, that thou mayest be my salvation unto the end of the earth.
Act 9:15 But the Lord said unto him, Go thy way: for he [Paul] is a chosen vessel unto me, to bear my name before the Gentiles, and kings, and the children of Israel:
This is the Day when we hunger and thirst for Christ’s righteousness and walk by the Faith of Christ and not by sight. We are never hungry again and delight ourselves in the abundance of food and clothing that the Lord is now providing us. The nations inside of us are blessed. They have been converted through Christ’s Commandments. They, the nations within, received the Kingdom of God. Think spiritually.
Luk 12:29 And seek not ye what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink, neither be ye of doubtful mind.
Luk 12:30 For all these things do the nations of the world seek after: and your Father knoweth that ye have need of these things.
Luk 12:31 But rather seek ye the kingdom of God; and all these things shall be added unto you.
Luk 12:32 Fear not, little flock; for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom.
2Co 5:7 For we walk by faith, not by sight:
It is the Day when the Mystery is Revealed
This Day is the Day when the mystery that was hidden is made known to the Church, that is to say, the mystery of the Gospel. The mystery is Christ in us, the Hope of Glory, or, said another way, Christ has come in our flesh. Christ IS come in our flesh is the mystery now made known to the Church. We drink His cup, which is His Blood of the New Testament. We now live the Gospel, careful to maintain good works, that is to say, careful to be obedient to His Commandments.
Mar 14:24 And he said unto them, This is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many.
Mar 14:25 Verily I say unto you, I will drink no more of the fruit of the vine, until that day that I drink it new in the kingdom of God.
Rom 16:25 Now to him that is of power to stablish you according to my gospel, and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery, which was kept secret since the world began,
This mystery is the secret of the Gospel. It is hidden before our eyes until the Lord shows mercy to us. The Sum of the Word is a parable, and the Lord hides Himself in the thick clouds, meaning He only reveals Himself to His own at the appointed times for us, after our captivity has been completed.
Mar 4:11 And he said unto them, Unto you it is given to know the mystery of the kingdom of God: but unto them that are without, all these things are done in parables:
1Co 2:7 But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom, which God ordained before the world unto our glory:
Eph 6:19 And for me, that utterance may be given unto me, that I may open my mouth boldly, to make known the mystery of the gospel,
Col 1:26 Even the mystery which hath been hid from ages and from generations, but now is made manifest to his saints:
It is the Day of Terror
Seeing the two-edged sword with spiritual eyes, we see that “The Day” is a great Day for our salvation and a terrible Day for the natural man, the Lord’s enemy. The puffed-up man that we are before the Lord comes is being devoured by the Lord’s fire, His fiery Commandments. Our spiritual riches are laid to naught.
Eze 28:17 Thine heart was lifted up because of thy beauty, thou hast corrupted thy wisdom by reason of thy brightness: I will cast thee to the ground, I will lay thee before kings, that they may behold thee.
Eze 28:18 Thou hast defiled thy sanctuaries by the multitude of thine iniquities, by the iniquity of thy traffick; therefore will I bring forth a fire from the midst of thee, it shall devour thee, and I will bring thee to ashes upon the earth in the sight of all them that behold thee.
Heb 10:31 (NLT) It is a terrible thing to fall into the hands of the living God.
Heb 10:12 But this man, after he had offered one sacrifice for sins for ever, sat down on the right hand of God;
Heb 10:13 From henceforth expecting till his enemies be made his footstool.
It is the Day of Evil
This Day of Evil shines Christ’s Commandments onto all the hidden evil within us, all of our secret sins come to the Light. The Lord suffered with long-suffering and patience up to this Day to destroy the evil in us. Christ no longer winks at our sins.
Act 17:30 And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men every where to repent:
Act 17:31 Because he hath appointed a day, in the which he will judge the world in righteousness by that man whom he hath ordained; whereof he hath given assurance unto all men, in that he hath raised him from the dead.
We are being judged out of our own mouths. The Lord has kept and treasured up the wicked within us for the Day of Evil.
Pro 16:4 The LORD hath made all things for himself: yea, even the wicked for the day of evil.
Jer 2:19 Thine own wickedness shall correct thee, and thy backslidings shall reprove thee: know therefore and see that it is an evil thing and bitter, that thou hast forsaken the LORD thy God, and that my fear is not in thee, saith the Lord GOD of hosts.
Rom 2:16 In the day when God shall judge the secrets of men by Jesus Christ according to my gospel.
It is the Day of Vengeance
This Day is also known as the Day of Vengeance. Vengeance and destruction on the Lord’s enemies when He comes to make a quick work upon our earth [walk] and upon our heaven [talk]. Vengeance against the old carnal mindset is what Christ IS come to proclaim and is the entire premise of the glorious Gospel. None can deliver out of His Hand.
Deu 32:39 See now that I, even I, am he, and there is no god with me: I kill, and I make alive; I wound, and I heal: neither is there any that can deliver out of my hand.
Isa 34:8 For it is the day of the LORD’S vengeance, and the year of recompences for the controversy of Zion.
Isa 61:2 To proclaim the acceptable year of the LORD, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all that mourn;
2Th 1:8 (NKJV) in flaming fire taking vengeance on those who do not know God, and on those who do not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ.
A Jealous God is saving us. Christ is jealous for His Throne. He repays His enemies.
Deu 4:24 For the LORD thy God is a consuming fire, even a jealous God.
Pro 6:34 For jealousy is the rage of a man: therefore he will not spare in the day of vengeance.
Pro 6:35 He will not regard any ransom; neither will he rest content, though thou givest many gifts.
Rom 12:19 (NKJV) Beloved, do not avenge yourselves, but rather give place to wrath; for it is written, “VENGEANCE IS MINE, I WILL REPAY,” says the Lord.
It is the Day of Wrath
The Lord’s wrath is kindled against His people who went astray from Him, meaning His Commandments. All our spiritual riches fly away in the Day of His wrath. Our covetousness, fornication, and all evil within our hearts and minds come into the Light that burns up the adversaries.
Job 20:28 The increase of his house shall depart, and his goods shall flow away in the day of his wrath.
Job 20:29 This is the portion of a wicked man from God, and the heritage appointed unto him by God.
Eph 5:3 But fornication, and all uncleanness, or covetousness, let it not be once named among you, as becometh saints;
Eph 5:4 Neither filthiness, nor foolish talking, nor jesting, which are not convenient: but rather giving of thanks.
Spiritual riches do not deliver us on the Day of Wrath. Do not covet spiritual riches without Christ. It provokes God’s wrath. We gain the world but lose our soul, but of course, we all do this by the Lord’s design.
Psa 10:3 For the wicked boasteth of his heart’s desire, and blesseth the covetous, whom the LORD abhorreth.
Pro 11:4 Riches profit not in the day of wrath: but righteousness delivereth from death.
Luk 12:15 And he said unto them, Take heed, and beware of covetousness: for a man’s life consisteth not in the abundance of the things which he possesseth.
1Co 5:11 But now I have written unto you not to keep company, if any man that is called a brother be a fornicator, or covetous, or an idolater, or a railer, or a drunkard, or an extortioner; with such an one no not to eat.
It is the Day of Trouble
It is a Day of trouble and many tribulations. The Day of the Lord signals the transition from the present evil age into the age of judgment, when we are made new in the Lake of Fire. It is only through much trouble that we enter into the Kingdom of God.
Eze 7:6 An end is come, the end is come: it watcheth for thee; behold, it is come.
Zep 1:15 That day is a day of wrath, a day of trouble and distress, a day of wasteness and desolation, a day of darkness and gloominess, a day of clouds and thick darkness,
Act 14:22 Confirming the souls of the disciples, and exhorting them to continue in the faith, and that we must through much tribulation enter into the kingdom of God.
Joh 16:33 These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.
We are being translated from the kingdom of darkness into the Kingdom of Light, and this happens when we start loving our brothers, which is to teach and keep the Commandments of God. We have peace in Christ, and know that we have much sorrow in this life, is, was, and will be, because of His Name, His Commandments. To the new man, the joy of the Lord is our strength. Our enemies within, forgetting the Lord, are sorrowful, and their wounds are grievous.
Jer 30:12 For thus saith the LORD, Thy bruise is incurable, and thy wound is grievous.
Jer 30:13 There is none to plead thy cause, that thou mayest be bound up: thou hast no healing medicines.
Jer 30:14 All thy lovers have forgotten thee; they seek thee not; for I have wounded thee with the wound of an enemy, with the chastisement of a cruel one, for the multitude of thine iniquity; because thy sins were increased.
Col 1:13 Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son:
1Jn 3:14 We know that we have passed from death unto life, because we love the brethren. He that loveth not his brother abideth in death.
It is the Day of Shaking
In the Day of the Lord, the Lord does not leave one stone upon another. Christ is rebuilding His Temple, which we are. Everything we believed in, all of our spiritual riches, and everything not of Him gets shaken so that only the Kingdom of God remains. The Kingdom of God is the Gospel.
Isa 2:19 And they shall go into the holes of the rocks, and into the caves of the earth, for fear of the LORD, and for the glory of his majesty, when he ariseth to shake terribly the earth.
Isa 13:13 Therefore I will shake the heavens, and the earth shall remove out of her place, in the wrath of the LORD of hosts, and in the day of his fierce anger.
Eze 38:19 For in my jealousy and in the fire of my wrath have I spoken, Surely in that day there shall be a great shaking in the land of Israel;
Heb 12:26 Whose voice then shook the earth: but now he hath promised, saying, Yet once more I shake not the earth only, but also heaven.
Heb 12:27 And this word, Yet once more, signifieth the removing of those things that are shaken, as of things that are made, that those things which cannot be shaken may remain.
Christ becomes the Stone of stumbling and a Rock of offence in this Day. Both Jews and Gentiles stumble at Christ.
Isa 8:14 And he shall be for a sanctuary; but for a stone of stumbling and for a rock of offence to both the houses of Israel, for a gin and for a snare to the inhabitants of Jerusalem.
Mat 21:42 Jesus saith unto them, Did ye never read in the scriptures, The stone which the builders rejected, the same is become the head of the corner: this is the Lord’s doing, and it is marvellous in our eyes?
1Co 1:22 For the Jews require a sign, and the Greeks seek after wisdom:
1Co 1:23 But we preach Christ crucified, unto the Jews a stumblingblock, and unto the Greeks foolishness;
It is the Day the Heavens are Dissolved
The Day of the Lord is the Day everything changes in our lives. Everything we believe in, everything we hold on to, vanishes away. Think of these words as spiritual words. The Lord is ending our old lives and making everything new. It is the big earthquake, the hosts of heaven being dissolved, and the elements melting.
Isa 34:4 And all the host of heaven shall be dissolved, and the heavens shall be rolled together as a scroll: and all their host shall fall down, as the leaf falleth off from the vine, and as a falling fig from the fig tree.
2Pe 3:10 But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.
Rev 6:14 And the heaven departed as a scroll when it is rolled together; and every mountain and island were moved out of their places.
It is the Day of His Jealousy
This Day, we are being devoured by the fire of Christ’s jealousy for His Bride. The Lord is jealous for Zion, His people, who went whoring after other gods, the idols of our hearts, the works of our hands, and the lovers we went after. This Day comes, and it will come to every human being at the appointed times for everybody. In this Day, we learn a pure language, that is, we teach, preach, and hear the Gospel.
Zep 3:8 Therefore wait ye upon me, saith the LORD, until the day that I rise up to the prey: for my determination is to gather the nations, that I may assemble the kingdoms, to pour upon them mine indignation, even all my fierce anger: for all the earth shall be devoured with the fire of my jealousy.
Zep 3:9 For then will I turn to the people a pure language, that they may all call upon the name of the LORD, to serve him with one consent.
Zec 8:2 Thus saith the LORD of hosts; I was jealous for Zion with great jealousy, and I was jealous for her with great fury.
1Co 10:22 Do we provoke the Lord to jealousy? are we stronger than he?
This Day is the Day we are being made holy unto the Lord. We are the clay. Remember, God speaking in the Old Testament is Christ speaking. God, the Father, does everything through Christ. Christ is also our Father because He created us. God, the Father, is greater than Christ. Search this out in the Gospels if you did not know.
Isa 64:8 But now, O LORD, thou art our father; we are the clay, and thou our potter; and we all are the work of thy hand.
Zec 8:3 Thus saith the LORD; I am returned unto Zion, and will dwell in the midst of Jerusalem: and Jerusalem shall be called a city of truth; and the mountain of the LORD of hosts the holy mountain.
1Co 10:21 Ye cannot drink the cup of the Lord, and the cup of devils: ye cannot be partakers of the Lord’s table, and of the table of devils.
1Pe 1:15 But as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation;
1Pe 1:16 Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy.
It is the Day of Spoiling
This is the Day all of our goods are spoiled. The rich young ruler had much, and he thought he had made it, yet he lacked; he was not perfect. He was too rich to follow Christ. He could not let go of his spiritual riches. He was sad because his goods, the things he trusted in, were now spoiled [Matt 19:16-30]. When Christ died for us, He spoiled those [the Gentile nations within] who spoiled us. We have become slaves to our carnal minds, but the Lord repays double.
Jer 2:14 Is Israel a servant? is he a homeborn slave? why is he spoiled?
Jer 50:14 Put yourselves in array against Babylon round about: all ye that bend the bow, shoot at her, spare no arrows: for she hath sinned against the LORD.
Jer 50:15 Shout against her round about: she hath given her hand: her foundations are fallen, her walls are thrown down: for it is the vengeance of the LORD: take vengeance upon her; as she hath done, do unto her.
Col 2:13 And you, being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh, hath he quickened together with him, having forgiven you all trespasses;
Col 2:14 Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross;
Col 2:15 And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it.
It is the Day of Visitation
Christ was raised to save us from our carnal minds, so we should serve Him with fear all the days of our lives. Christ visits us on the great Day of the Lord. Christ is bringing us into His rest. We are redeemed and will never be hungry or thirsty again.
Lam 4:22 The punishment of thine iniquity is accomplished, O daughter of Zion; he will no more carry thee away into captivity: he will visit thine iniquity, O daughter of Edom; he will discover thy sins.
Luk 1:68 Blessed be the Lord God of Israel; for he hath visited and redeemed his people,
Heb 4:9 There remaineth therefore a rest to the people of God.
However, we do not know our Day of Visitation. We can discern the weather, but we do not know when the Lord is near. We never thought that the Lord would visit us like this. Some still think Christ comes in physical clouds, yet He comes spiritually.
Isa 10:3 And what will ye do in the day of visitation, and in the desolation which shall come from far? to whom will ye flee for help? and where will ye leave your glory?
Mat 16:2 He answered and said unto them, When it is evening, ye say, It will be fair weather: for the sky is red.
Mat 16:3 And in the morning, It will be foul weather to day: for the sky is red and lowring. O ye hypocrites, ye can discern the face of the sky; but can ye not discern the signs of the times?
It is the Day of Rebirth
The Day of the Lord is our spiritual rebirth. The Lord promised to bring us to birth. Our mother is Eve, the mother of all living. She is mystery Babylon. Mystery Babylon is the spiritual place where we worship ourselves. You only see this if you have eyes to see and ears to hear.
Isa 66:7 Before she travailed, she brought forth; before her pain came, she was delivered of a man child.
Isa 66:8 Who hath heard such a thing? who hath seen such things? Shall the earth be made to bring forth in one day? or shall a nation be born at once? for as soon as Zion travailed, she brought forth her children.
Isa 66:9 Shall I bring to the birth, and not cause to bring forth? saith the LORD: shall I cause to bring forth, and shut the womb? saith thy God.
Jer 24:7 And I will give them an heart to know me, that I am the LORD: and they shall be my people, and I will be their God: for they shall return unto me with their whole heart.
Our spiritual birth is documented in these Scriptures below. We are born of water [the Word] and Spirit [the Commandments].
Psa 51:10 Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me.
Psa 51:11 Cast me not away from thy presence; and take not thy holy spirit from me.
Psa 51:12 Restore unto me the joy of thy salvation; and uphold me with thy free spirit.
Joh 3:4 Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter the second time into his mother’s womb, and be born?
Joh 3:5 Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.
Rev 12:1 And there appeared a great wonder in heaven; a woman clothed with the sun, and the moon under her feet, and upon her head a crown of twelve stars:
Rev 12:2 And she being with child cried, travailing in birth, and pained to be delivered.
It is the Day of Small Beginnings
The Day of the Lord is a Day of small beginnings. The Lord makes us great again, hastening it in its time. We are the Lord’s people, and He is lifting us up. Although our overcoming seems small in the beginning, it will be glorious in its time. Our mourning will turn into joy.
Job 8:5 If thou wouldest seek unto God betimes, and make thy supplication to the Almighty;
Job 8:6 If thou wert pure and upright; surely now he would awake for thee [Christ comes alive in us], and make the habitation of thy righteousness prosperous.
Job 8:7 Though thy beginning was small, yet thy latter end should greatly increase.
Isa 60:20 Thy sun shall no more go down; neither shall thy moon withdraw itself: for the LORD shall be thine everlasting light, and the days of thy mourning shall be ended.
Isa 60:21 Thy people also shall be all righteous: they shall inherit the land for ever, the branch of my planting, the work of my hands, that I may be glorified.
Isa 60:22 A little one shall become a thousand, and a small one a strong nation: I the LORD will hasten it in his time.
Joh 3:30 He must increase, but I must decrease.
2Pe 3:18 But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and for ever. Amen.
It is the Day of Marriage
The Day of the Lord is when Christ marries His Bride, His Church, which is without spot or wrinkle. Paul writes that he espoused the Church to one Husband, and that he may present it as a chaste virgin. We do the same for our brothers and tarry with them so we may present the Church as a chaste virgin to Christ. As He is, so are we [1 John 4:17].
Isa 62:3 Thou shalt also be a crown of glory in the hand of the LORD, and a royal diadem in the hand of thy God.
Isa 62:4 Thou shalt no more be termed Forsaken; neither shall thy land any more be termed Desolate: but thou shalt be called Hephzibah, and thy land Beulah: for the LORD delighteth in thee, and thy land shall be married.
Isa 62:5 For as a young man marrieth a virgin, so shall thy sons marry thee: and as the bridegroom rejoiceth over the bride, so shall thy God rejoice over thee.
Jer 3:14 Turn, O backsliding children, saith the LORD; for I am married unto you: and I will take you one of a city, and two of a family, and I will bring you to Zion:
2Co 11:2 For I am jealous over you with godly jealousy: for I have espoused you to one husband, that I may present you as a chaste virgin to Christ.
Col 1:27 To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory:
It is the Day of Forgiveness
This is the Day the Lord forgives us our sins because He causes us to obey Him. Spiritually, Jacob and Israel are names that symbolize His chosen elect, called, chosen, and made faithful in every age since the early Church. The Lord has gone before us.
Isa 44:21 Remember these, O Jacob and Israel; for thou art my servant: I have formed thee; thou art my servant: O Israel, thou shalt not be forgotten of me.
Isa 44:22 I have blotted out, as a thick cloud, thy transgressions, and, as a cloud, thy sins: return unto me; for I have redeemed thee.
Isa 44:23 Sing, O ye heavens; for the LORD hath done it: shout, ye lower parts of the earth: break forth into singing, ye mountains, O forest, and every tree therein: for the LORD hath redeemed Jacob, and glorified himself in Israel.
Isa 44:24 Thus saith the LORD, thy redeemer, and he that formed thee from the womb, I am the LORD that maketh all things; that stretcheth forth the heavens alone; that spreadeth abroad the earth by myself;
Rom 4:8 Blessed is the man to whom the Lord will not impute sin.
Heb 2:17 Wherefore in all things it behoved him to be made like unto his brethren, that he might be a merciful and faithful high priest in things pertaining to God, to make reconciliation for the sins of the people.
It is the Great Day
The Great Day of the Lord converts us into doers and not just hearers of the Word that warm themselves by the fire. It is the Day the Comforter comes to us. The mighty men [carnal lies] within us cry bitterly.
Zep 1:14 The great day of the LORD is near, it is near, and hasteth greatly, even the voice of the day of the LORD: the mighty man shall cry there bitterly.
Zep 1:15 That day is a day of wrath, a day of trouble and distress, a day of wasteness and desolation, a day of darkness and gloominess, a day of clouds and thick darkness.
Joh 7:37 In the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried, saying, If any man thirst, let him come unto me, and drink.
Joh 7:38 He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water.
Joh 7:39 (But this spake he of the Spirit, which they that believe on him should receive: for the Holy Ghost was not yet given; because that Jesus was not yet glorified.)
It is the Day of Wonderful Works
This Day is the wonderful works of the Lord to the children of men. It is only through the Faith of Christ that we “fear not” the things the Lord is doing in our lives. This is the greatest trial a man ever faces in these clay bodies. We came out of the great tribulation, and we have washed our robes and made them white with the Blood of the Lamb. Our clothes are the fine linen of Christ’s righteousness, keeping His Commandments.
Psa 40:6 Sacrifice and offering thou didst not desire; mine ears hast thou opened: burnt offering and sin offering hast thou not required.
Psa 40:7 Then said I, Lo, I come: in the volume of the book it is written of me,
Psa 40:8 I delight to do thy will, O my God: yea, thy law is within my heart.
Rev 7:14 And I said unto him, Sir, thou knowest. And he said to me, These are they which came out of great tribulation, and have washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.
Rev 7:15 Therefore are they before the throne of God, and serve him day and night in his temple: and he that sitteth on the throne shall dwell among them.
Psalm 107 describes the Day of the Lord. Read it prayerfully and meditate upon it. Who can know it?
Psa 107:21 Oh that men would praise the LORD for his goodness, and for his wonderful works to the children of men!
Psa 107:43 Whoso is wise, and will observe these things, even they shall understand the lovingkindness of the LORD.
It is the Day Christ is Glorified in His Saints
This is the Day Christ is glorified in His Saints. We are being made partakers of His Divine nature. Christ has come in our flesh and is giving us dominion over sin. Now, we are the sons of God, and we see His Glory. What more can we add to this? The Lord raises us up for His great Name’s sake.
Psa 145:10 All thy works shall praise thee, O LORD; and thy saints shall bless thee.
Psa 145:11 They shall speak of the glory of thy kingdom, and talk of thy power;
Psa 145:12 To make known to the sons of men his mighty acts, and the glorious majesty of his kingdom.
Eze 36:22 Therefore say unto the house of Israel, Thus saith the Lord GOD; I do not this for your sakes, O house of Israel, but for mine holy name’s sake, which ye have profaned among the heathen, whither ye went.
Eze 36:23 And I will sanctify my great name, which was profaned among the heathen, which ye have profaned in the midst of them; and the heathen shall know that I am the LORD, saith the Lord GOD, when I shall be sanctified in you before their eyes.
Eze 36:26 A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh.
Rom 8:18 For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.
2Th 1:8 In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ:
2Th 1:9 Who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his power;
2Th 1:10 When he shall come to be glorified in his saints, and to be admired in all them that believe (because our testimony among you was believed) in that day.
It is the Day we bless His glorious Name, the Commandments, forever.
Psa 72:19 And blessed be his glorious name for ever: and let the whole earth be filled with his glory; Amen, and Amen.
2Co 3:11 For if that which is done away was glorious, much more that which remaineth is glorious.
This is the Day we cry holy, holy, holy is the Lord.
Isa 6:3 And one cried unto another, and said, Holy, holy, holy, is the LORD of hosts: the whole earth is full of his glory.
Rev 4:8 And the four beasts had each of them six wings about him; and they were full of eyes within: and they rest not day and night, saying, Holy, holy, holy, Lord God Almighty, which was, and is, and is to come.
The Lord only is glorified in the Day. The Lord creates us to glorify Him.
Isa 42:8 I am the LORD: that is my name: and my glory will I not give to another, neither my praise to graven images.
Isa 43:7 Even every one that is called by my name: for I have created him for my glory, I have formed him; yea, I have made him.
Joh 17:22 And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them; that they may be one, even as we are one:
Joh 17:23 I in them, and thou in me, that they may be made perfect in one; and that the world may know that thou hast sent me, and hast loved them, as thou hast loved me.
Christ is the Father’s Glory. He is making His Power known.
Mat 16:27 For the Son of man shall come in the glory of his Father with his angels; and then he shall reward every man according to his works.
Mat 16:28 Verily I say unto you, There be some standing here, which shall not taste of death, till they see the Son of man coming in his kingdom.
Rom 9:22 What if God, willing to shew his wrath, and to make his power known, endured with much longsuffering the vessels of wrath fitted to destruction:
Rom 9:23 And that he might make known the riches of his glory on the vessels of mercy, which he had afore prepared unto glory,
Rom 9:24 Even us, whom he hath called, not of the Jews only, but also of the Gentiles?
It is the Day of the Sabbath
It is the Day when we no longer bring any burden into the city gates; it is the true Sabbath of the Lord. Only some enter into His Rest. All of this is speaking in parables. Bring no burden into the city gates means not working on the Lord’s Sabbath. The Day of the Lord is the Lord’s Sabbath. In this Day, we rest from our own works, that is to say, we cease from our own carnal thoughts, and we are in rest, that is to say, we keep His Commandments.
Jer 17:20 And say unto them, Hear ye the word of the LORD, ye kings of Judah, and all Judah, and all the inhabitants of Jerusalem, that enter in by these gates:
Jer 17:21 Thus saith the LORD; Take heed to yourselves, and bear no burden on the sabbath day, nor bring it in by the gates of Jerusalem;
Jer 17:22 Neither carry forth a burden out of your houses on the sabbath day, neither do ye any work, but hallow ye the sabbath day, as I commanded your fathers.
Ezk 20:12 Moreover also I gave them my sabbaths, to be a sign between me and them, that they might know that I am the LORD that sanctify them.
Heb 4:1 Let us therefore fear, lest, a promise being left us of entering into his rest, any of you should seem to come short of it.
Heb 4:2 For unto us was the gospel preached, as well as unto them: but the word preached did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in them that heard it.
Heb 4:3 For we which have believed do enter into rest, as he said, As I have sworn in my wrath, if they shall enter into my rest: although the works were finished from the foundation of the world.
Rest is also peace, and the Prince of Peace now dwells in us, and we are no longer engaged in the restless back-and-forth reasoning of our carnal mind. These thoughts, the fowls of heaven come to rest in the tree that is Jesus Christ.
Mat 11:28 Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
Mat 11:29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.
It is the Day of Prayer and Fasting
Spiritual fasting means working for the Lord, praying spiritually, and obeying the Lord. Spiritual fasting means giving our Bread, Christ, to hungry souls. This is the fast the Lord has chosen for His elect. Christ’s Bread is His flesh and Blood; it is the Gospel, which are His Commandments.
Isa 58:6 Is not this the fast that I have chosen? to loose the bands of wickedness, to undo the heavy burdens, and to let the oppressed go free, and that ye break every yoke?
Isa 58:7 Is it not to deal thy bread to the hungry, and that thou bring the poor that are cast out to thy house? when thou seest the naked, that thou cover him; and that thou hide not thyself from thine own flesh?
Mat 6:16 Moreover when ye fast, be not, as the hypocrites, of a sad countenance: for they disfigure their faces, that they may appear unto men to fast. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward.
Mat 6:17 But thou, when thou fastest, anoint thine head, and wash thy face;
Mat 6:18 That thou appear not unto men to fast, but unto thy Father which is in secret: and thy Father, which seeth in secret, shall reward thee openly.
It is better to give and serve rather than to receive, and we are now unworthy servants of the Lord doing the Father’s work not for any reward.
It is the Day of Many Tribulations
The storm and trials the Lord has us endure are full of anguish and troubles, and are sometimes overwhelming to the natural man. Yet it is nothing compared to the glory being revealed in us as we go from glory to glory in this Day. We do not only believe in Christ, but we also suffer for His Name’s sake. His Name is His Commandments. The latter days spoken of in Deuteronomy symbolically speak of the Day of the Lord. All of Scripture is written in parables. We must go through much tribulation to enter into the Kingdom of God. It is likened unto a woman in birth pains. Indeed, Eve, the mother of us all, travails in pain and sorrow, bringing forth the man-child. The man-child is Christ in us, the Hope of Glory.
Deu 4:30 When thou art in tribulation, and all these things are come upon thee, even in the latter days, if thou turn to the LORD thy God, and shalt be obedient unto his voice;
Deu 4:31 (For the LORD thy God is a merciful God;) he will not forsake thee, neither destroy thee, nor forget the covenant of thy fathers which he sware unto them.
Joh 16:21 A woman when she is in travail hath sorrow, because her hour is come: but as soon as she is delivered of the child, she remembereth no more the anguish, for joy that a man is born into the world.
Joh 16:33 These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.
2Co 1:3 Blessed be God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies, and the God of all comfort;
2Co 1:4 Who comforteth us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble, by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God.
2Co 1:5 For as the sufferings of Christ abound in us, so our consolation also aboundeth by Christ.
It is the Third Day
The Day of the Lord is taking place on the third spiritual day of our walk. It is the Day we go unto perfection to be more like Christ. The Lord reveals Himself to us in this Day. The OT shadow shows us that Israel had to be ready on the third day, when the Lord came down from Mount Sinai to speak with Israel. Washing their clothes is a parable which tells us that we have to sanctify ourselves before the Lord comes through the Baptism of John [washing of water by the Word].
Exo 19:10 And the LORD said unto Moses, Go unto the people, and sanctify them to day and to morrow, and let them wash their clothes,
Exo 19:11 And be ready against the third day: for the third day the LORD will come down in the sight of all the people upon mount Sinai.
Mat 20:18 Behold, we go up to Jerusalem; and the Son of man shall be betrayed unto the chief priests and unto the scribes, and they shall condemn him to death,
Mat 20:19 And shall deliver him to the Gentiles to mock, and to scourge, and to crucify him: and the third day he shall rise again.
Luk 13:32 And he said unto them, Go ye, and tell that fox, Behold, I cast out devils, and I do cures to day and to morrow, and the third day I shall be perfected.
The third day is the last day of the Lord’s plan to remake us into His image. Having destroyed the first temple with our sins, the Lord comes on the third day to finish rebuilding the Holy Temple, in which He and the Father now dwell. Christ was mocked for saying that He would raise the Temple up in three days. It was a parable they did not understand.
Mat 27:39 And they that passed by reviled him, wagging their heads,
Mat 27:40 And saying, Thou that destroyest the temple, and buildest it in three days, save thyself. If thou be the Son of God, come down from the cross.
It is the Day the Foundation of the Temple is Laid
The Apostles and fellow labourers lay a foundation in every age where no other has laid the foundation. Why is that? It is because there is no other place where the true Gospel of Christ is taught. In Ezra, we see the type and shadow for us today, laying the foundation of the true Temple of God. The Apostles and workers for the Gospel do this in every age by preaching the Gospel, the Commandments, and the foundation of the Holy Temple.
Isa 28:16 Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD, Behold, I lay in Zion for a foundation a stone, a tried stone, a precious corner stone, a sure foundation: he that believeth shall not make haste.
Ezr 3:10 And when the builders laid the foundation of the temple of the LORD, they set the priests in their apparel with trumpets, and the Levites the sons of Asaph with cymbals, to praise the LORD, after the ordinance of David king of Israel.
Ezr 3:11 And they sang together by course in praising and giving thanks unto the LORD; because he is good, for his mercy endureth for ever toward Israel. And all the people shouted with a great shout, when they praised the LORD, because the foundation of the house of the LORD was laid.
Who can see and hear these things? Those who are weaned from the breast. Let our hands be strong to build the Lord’s House.
Zec 8:9 Thus saith the LORD of hosts; Let your hands be strong, ye that hear in these days these words by the mouth of the prophets, which were in the day that the foundation of the house of the LORD of hosts was laid, that the temple might be built.
Zec 8:10 For before these days there was no hire for man, nor any hire for beast; neither was there any peace to him that went out or came in because of the affliction: for I set all men every one against his neighbour.
Zec 8:11 But now I will not be unto the residue of this people as in the former days, saith the LORD of hosts.
Zec 8:12 For the seed shall be prosperous; the vine shall give her fruit, and the ground shall give her increase, and the heavens shall give their dew; and I will cause the remnant of this people to possess all these things.
1Co 3:9 For we are labourers together with God: ye are God’s husbandry, ye are God’s building.
1Co 3:10 According to the grace of God which is given unto me, as a wise masterbuilder, I have laid the foundation, and another buildeth thereon. But let every man take heed how he buildeth thereupon.
Rom 15:20 Yea, so have I strived to preach the gospel, not where Christ was named, lest I should build upon another man’s foundation:
It is the Day We Love our Brethren
We are often told to love, to love all people, and to love our brethren fervently. What is this love? To love is to keep Christ’s Commandments. We do it more and more as the Day progresses. Brotherly love is not a feeling, but instead fervently keeping the commandments of the Lord and teaching others the Gospel, which are the commandments.
Rom 12:10 Be kindly affectioned one to another with brotherly love; in honour preferring one another;
1Th 3:12 And the Lord make you to increase and abound in love one toward another, and toward all men, even as we do toward you:
1Th 4:9 But as touching brotherly love ye need not that I write unto you: for ye yourselves are taught of God to love one another.
Heb 13:1 Let brotherly love continue.
1Pe 1:22 Seeing ye have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit unto unfeigned love of the brethren, see that ye love one another with a pure heart fervently:
1Jn 3:22 And whatsoever we ask, we receive of him, because we keep his commandments, and do those things that are pleasing in his sight.
1Jn 3:23 And this is his commandment, That we should believe on the name of his Son Jesus Christ, and love one another, as he gave us commandment.
We see that we have to abound in this love, keeping the Commandments more and more, and this love extends to all people. We love one another with a pure heart, that is to say, we preach the Gospel to our brethren and preach no other doctrine. If we do not preach the Gospel to our brethren and do not walk the talk, we hate our brethren and have fellowship with the evil works of darkness.
1Jn 4:7 Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God.
1Jn 4:20 If a man say, I love God, and hateth his brother, he is a liar: for he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, how can he love God whom he hath not seen?
1Jn 4:21 And this commandment have we from him, That he who loveth God love his brother also.
1Jn 5:2 By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God, and keep his commandments.
1Jn 5:3 For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous.
It is the Day we Tarry Together Waiting
Christ told His disciples to tarry in Jerusalem until the Comforter comes. We are spiritual Jerusalem, and this is where the Lord placed His Name. We tarry with each other. Some have already received the Promise and are growing in this Grace; others are still waiting to receive the Promise. The Lord’s Name is only placed where the true Gospel is preached and walked out.
Luk 24:49 And, behold, I send the promise of my Father upon you: but tarry ye in the city of Jerusalem, until ye be endued with power from on high.
Heb 10:35 Cast not away therefore your confidence, which hath great recompence of reward.
Heb 10:36 For ye have need of patience, that, after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise.
Heb 10:37 For yet a little while, and he that shall come will come, and will not tarry.
Abiding with the resurrected Christ, meaning the leaders the Lord has raised first to preach His Gospel, is how others who tarry with them break the Bread of the Commandments, eat the Meat of understanding, and receive the Promise themselves. The parable of the road to Emmaus reveals this.
Luk 24:29 But they constrained him [Resurrected Christ], saying, Abide with us: for it is toward evening, and the day is far spent. And he went in to tarry with them.
Luk 24:30 And it came to pass, as he sat at meat with them, he took bread, and blessed it, and brake, and gave to them.
Luk 24:31 And their eyes were opened, and they knew him; and he vanished out of their sight. [Into their heavens]
It is the Day of Perfection
In this Day, we are being made perfect, leaving the milk of the Word to hear and do His will. We now run the race set before us, forgetting what is behind and reaching out to what is in front of us [Php 3:13]. It is the third day of our spiritual journey, and we are being made perfect. David writes that the end of a perfect man is peace, that is to say, that man is in Christ’s rest. The Lord wants our obedience. Love is the perfect way.
Psa 37:37 Mark the perfect man, and behold the upright: for the end of that man is peace.
Isa 26:3 Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.
Ezk 20:19 I am the LORD your God; walk in my statutes, and keep my judgments, and do them;
Col 3:14 And above all these things put on charity, which is the bond of perfectness.
Christ IS come in us and we are being made perfect through many trials. A Perfect man is able to bridle his tongue within and without.
Joh 17:22 And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them; that they may be one, even as we are one:
Joh 17:23 I in them, and thou in me, that they may be made perfect in one; and that the world may know that thou hast sent me, and hast loved them, as thou hast loved me.
Heb 2:10 For it became him, for whom are all things, and by whom are all things, in bringing many sons unto glory, to make the captain of their salvation perfect through sufferings.
Jas 3:2 For in many things we offend all. If any man offend not in word, the same is a perfect man, and able also to bridle the whole body.
1Pe 5:10 But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you.
It is Christ’s Second Coming
The Baptism of Fire into Christ’s death starts when the Gospel is preached and believed in every nation within us. Think spiritually. It is the second coming of Christ without sin, to those waiting for Him. It is the Spirit, the Comforter, who comes to us as the Promise. The Gospel is been preached and the end IS come for the natural man inside of us. The Lord is now showing His Face to us as He comes little by little into our heavens and into our earth.
Eze 39:28 Then shall they know that I am the LORD their God, which caused them to be led into captivity among the heathen: but I have gathered them unto their own land, and have left none of them any more there.
Eze 39:29 Neither will I hide my face any more from them: for I have poured out my spirit upon the house of Israel, saith the Lord GOD.
Mat 24:14 And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.
Heb 9:28 So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation.
Christ’s second coming is hidden under many symbols. Here are a few: Father and Son, Glory of God, Holy Spirit, Spirit of Christ, Holy Spirit of Promise, Divine Powder, Spirit of Holiness, Time of Visitation, the Revelation of Christ, Salvation, Fullness of the Blessing, His Son revealed in me, Rebirth, Kindness and Love, Presence of His Glory, and many more. It is all the same symbols for the Promise of the Father, the Comforter, who comes to us in the Day of the Lord. Please refer to the study: The hidden mystery of the Promise on the truthinscripture.com website.
Gal 1:15 But when it pleased God, who separated me from my mother’s womb, and called me by his grace,
Gal 1:16 To reveal his Son in me, that I might preach him among the heathen; immediately I conferred not with flesh and blood:
Jud 1:24 Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy,
It is the Day of Beauty
What is the end result of this glorious Day? We see the beautiful, glorious risen Church of God. As we progress in this Day, we see the Lord’s anger is turned away, our sins are forgiven, and we are bearing fruit for Christ. It is a place of rest and peace. Christ’s judgments are in the earth, and we learn to obey Him. We grow in this Grace as Christ appears more and more in us.
Psa 50:2 Out of Zion, the perfection of beauty, God hath shined.
Psa 50:3 Our God shall come, and shall not keep silence: a fire shall devour before him, and it shall be very tempestuous round about him.
Psa 50:4 He shall call to the heavens from above, and to the earth, that he may judge his people.
Isa 28:5 In that day shall the LORD of hosts be for a crown of glory, and for a diadem of beauty, unto the residue of his people,
Isa 28:6 And for a spirit of judgment to him that sitteth in judgment, and for strength to them that turn the battle to the gate.
Rom 8:21 Because the creature itself also shall be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God.
The Lord alone is glorified in this Day; we are a royal priesthood in this Day.
Isa 61:3 To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the LORD, that he might be glorified.
Isa 61:6 But ye shall be named the Priests of the LORD: men shall call you the Ministers of our God: ye shall eat the riches of the Gentiles, and in their glory shall ye boast yourselves.
1Pe 2:9 But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light:
Our souls are being made perfect. This is the end of our Faith. The Lord loves freely. He is like the morning dew.
Hos 14:4 I will heal their backsliding, I will love them freely: for mine anger is turned away from him.
Hos 14:5 I will be as the dew unto Israel: he shall grow as the lily, and cast forth his roots as Lebanon.
1Pe 1:9 Receiving the end of your faith, even the salvation of your souls.
1Pe 1:10 Of which salvation the prophets have enquired and searched diligently, who prophesied of the grace that should come unto you:
There is food in abundance in this Day. Strangers spiritually in the negative application means strange doctrines, and they are no more in the Promised Land.
Joe 3:17 So shall ye know that I am the LORD your God dwelling in Zion, my holy mountain: then shall Jerusalem be holy, and there shall no strangers pass through her any more.
Joe 3:18 And it shall come to pass in that day, that the mountains shall drop down new wine, and the hills shall flow with milk, and all the rivers of Judah shall flow with waters, and a fountain shall come forth of the house of the LORD, and shall water the valley of Shittim.
Rev 7:17 For the Lamb which is in the midst of the throne shall feed them, and shall lead them unto living fountains of waters: and God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes.
It is a beautiful Day. Now, are we the sons of God! We have escaped the lusts of our natural father, the devil, and the rebellious spirit of our mother.
Isa 4:2 In that day shall the branch of the LORD be beautiful and glorious, and the fruit of the earth shall be excellent and comely for them that are escaped of Israel.
Rev 21:6 And he said unto me, It is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely.
Rev 21:7 He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son.
It is the Day of Harvest
The day of harvest is also a day of separation. In the Day of the Lord, the sheep and the goats are separated. Nothing that is not of Him will abide in the fire of His jealousy. The Lord brings the grain into His barn and leaves out the chaff and inedible parts. This is the threshing of spiritual Babylon and repaying her double. All this is by His design. The separation of the harvest applies within and without ourselves.
Mat 25:32 And before him shall be gathered all nations: and he shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd divideth his sheep from the goats:
Mat 25:33 And he shall set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on the left.
Jer 51:33 For thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; The daughter of Babylon is like a threshingfloor, it is time to thresh her: yet a little while, and the time of her harvest shall come.
Hos 6:11 Also, O Judah, he hath set an harvest for thee, when I returned the captivity of my people.
Joe 3:13 Put ye in the sickle, for the harvest is ripe: come, get you down; for the press is full, the fats overflow; for their wickedness is great.
Joe 3:14 Multitudes, multitudes in the valley of decision: for the day of the LORD is near in the valley of decision.
Mat 13:27 So the servants of the householder came and said unto him, Sir, didst not thou sow good seed in thy field? from whence then hath it tares?
Mat 13:28 He said unto them, An enemy hath done this. The servants said unto him, Wilt thou then that we go and gather them up?
Mat 13:29 But he said, Nay; lest while ye gather up the tares, ye root up also the wheat with them.
Mat 13:30 Let both grow together until the harvest: and in the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, Gather ye together first the tares, and bind them in bundles to burn them: but gather the wheat into my barn.
Rev 14:15 And another angel came out of the temple, crying with a loud voice to him that sat on the cloud, Thrust in thy sickle, and reap: for the time is come for thee to reap; for the harvest of the earth is ripe.
It is the Day the Gospel is Preached
The Gospel is preached, and Christ’s Glorious Name is made known. It is time to lay the foundation of His Temple within us and within others. These are spiritual words. Our sins are being taken away because now our lips are clean. We immediately preach the Gospel. Another Jesus, another Gospel is heard no more.
Isa 6:5 Then said I, Woe is me! for I am undone; because I am a man of unclean lips, and I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips: for mine eyes have seen the King, the LORD of hosts.
Isa 6:6 Then flew one of the seraphims unto me, having a live coal in his hand, which he had taken with the tongs from off the altar:
Isa 6:7 And he laid it upon my mouth, and said, Lo, this hath touched thy lips; and thine iniquity is taken away, and thy sin purged.
Ezk 24:27 In that day shall thy mouth be opened to him which is escaped, and thou shalt speak, and be no more dumb: and thou shalt be a sign unto them; and they shall know that I am the LORD.
Saul, who became Paul, immediately preached the Gospel. Paul preached the resurrection. We preach the Gospel, walking up and down in His Name.
Act 9:20 And straightway he preached Christ in the synagogues, that he is the Son of God.
Zec 10:12 And I will strengthen them in the LORD; and they shall walk up and down in his name, saith the LORD.
Mar 16:15 And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.
Mar 16:16 He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.
It is the Day we bring forth Fruit
We at last bring forth fruit worthy of repentance. The Lord suffered long and with much patience to see fruit worthy of repentance. Righteousness and praise are the fruit springing forth. The trees of the field are us.
Isa 61:10 I will greatly rejoice in the LORD, my soul shall be joyful in my God; for he hath clothed me with the garments of salvation, he hath covered me with the robe of righteousness, as a bridegroom decketh himself with ornaments, and as a bride adorneth herself with her jewels.
Isa 61:11 For as the earth bringeth forth her bud, and as the garden causeth the things that are sown in it to spring forth; so the Lord GOD will cause righteousness and praise to spring forth before all the nations.
Ezk 34:27 And the tree of the field shall yield her fruit, and the earth shall yield her increase, and they shall be safe in their land, and shall know that I am the LORD, when I have broken the bands of their yoke, and delivered them out of the hand of those that served themselves of them.
Luk 8:15 But that on the good ground are they, which in an honest and good heart, having heard the word, keep it, and bring forth fruit with patience.
Jas 5:7 Be patient therefore, brethren, unto the coming of the Lord. Behold, the husbandman waiteth for the precious fruit of the earth, and hath long patience for it, until he receive the early and latter rain.
It is the Day of New Beginnings
The old things are passing away. We live a new life now, walking by faith and not by sight. We are holy unto the Lord and are called by His Name. Our sins are forgiven, and sin has no power over us anymore. The Day of the Lord is making all things new through the consuming work of the fiery Commandments of Christ Jesus, burning up the wood, hay, and stubble [our carnal works, the lusts of our flesh] within the hearts and minds of His people.
Isa 66:1 Thus saith the LORD, The heaven is my throne, and the earth is my footstool: where is the house that ye build unto me? and where is the place of my rest?
Isa 66:2 For all those things hath mine hand made, and all those things have been, saith the LORD: but to this man will I look, even to him that is poor and of a contrite spirit, and trembleth at my word.
2Pe 3:13 Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness.
Rom 6:4 Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.
Rev 21:5 And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful.
It is the Day of Humiliation
The Lord’s Day transforms us into the image and Glory of Christ Jesus. Our puffed-up knowledge and our spiritual riches have become dung. The pride of life, that is, our carnal minds with their carnal reasonings, imaginings, endless genealogies, and idols of the heart, gives way to the Commandments of Christ, the righteousness of God.
Isa 2:11 The lofty looks of man shall be humbled, and the haughtiness of men shall be bowed down, and the LORD alone shall be exalted in that day.
Isa 2:12 For the day of the LORD of hosts shall be upon every one that is proud and lofty, and upon every one that is lifted up; and he shall be brought low:
Php 3:7 But what things were gain to me, those I counted loss for Christ.
Php 3:8 Yea doubtless, and I count all things but loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord: for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and do count them but dung, that I may win Christ,
Php 3:9 And be found in him, not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith:
It is the Day of Joy
As we grow and mature, doom and gloom to the old man are being changed into rejoicing, and the new man is increasing, and the Lord is revealed within us. Our mourning turns into joy. We know that the Lord is God, doing all that God, the Father, has given Him to accomplish.
Jer 31:13 Then shall the virgin rejoice in the dance, both young men and old together: for I will turn their mourning into joy, and will comfort them, and make them rejoice from their sorrow.
Psa 30:11 Thou hast turned for me my mourning into dancing: thou hast put off my sackcloth, and girded me with gladness;
Joh 16:20 Verily, verily, I say unto you, That ye shall weep and lament, but the world shall rejoice: and ye shall be sorrowful, but your sorrow shall be turned into joy.
1Pe 4:13 But rejoice, inasmuch as ye are partakers of Christ’s sufferings; that, when his glory shall be revealed, ye may be glad also with exceeding joy.
Rev 21:4 And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.
It is the Day of Endurance
Knowing these truths and God’s purpose and methods in the “Day of the Lord” and having faith in God’s promises is how we are able to endure each day what is set before us.
2Co 4:15 For all things are for your sakes, that the abundant grace might through the thanksgiving of many redound to the glory of God.
2Co 4:16 For which cause we faint not; but though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day.
2Co 4:17 For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory;
Heb 12:1 Therefore we also, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us,
Heb 12:2 looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.
Our abiding through our Day of the Lord is the greatest blessing as we are able to endure to pay the high price of being called, chosen, and faithful in Christ. We, as Christ’s Bride, is being made into the virtuous woman of Proverbs 12.
Zec 9:16 And the LORD their God shall save them in that day as the flock of his people: for they shall be as the stones of a crown, lifted up as an ensign upon his land.
Pro 12:4 A virtuous woman is a crown to her husband: but she that maketh ashamed is as rottenness in his bones.
2Ti 4:8 Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love [1Jo 5:3] his appearing.
The Lord makes us to endure. He never leaves or forsakes us. We receive a crown in due time.
1Pe 5:4 And when the chief Shepherd shall appear, ye shall receive a crown of glory that fadeth not away.
Jas 5:11 Behold, we count them happy which endure. Ye have heard of the patience of Job, and have seen the end of the Lord; that the Lord is very pitiful, and of tender mercy.
It is the Day of Temptation
The Lord comes quickly and unexpectedly. We are warned to watch and be sober. The Thessalonians were waiting for the Comforter, and Paul wrote and told them to watch and be sober. We are blessed to have the mercy of God, the Father, Christ, and the Son, opening our eyes and ears to see this great Day of the Lord, the mystery that was hid. Take hold of the admonishments in Scriptures to pray, stay awake, and remain sober, knowing these Truths. To watch and not enter into temptation is what Christ told His disciples in the Garden of Gethsemane.
1Th 5:4 But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief.
1Th 5:5 Ye are all the children of light, and the children of the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness.
1Th 5:6 Therefore let us not sleep, as do others; but let us watch and be sober.
1Th 5:7 For they that sleep sleep in the night; and they that be drunken are drunken in the night.
1Th 5:8 But let us, who are of the day, be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love; and for an helmet, the hope of salvation.
1Th 5:9 For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ,
Rev 22:20 He which testifieth these things saith, Surely I come quickly. Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus.
Read these several warnings to watch and to be sober. Obey the Lord, stand fast in the Faith of Christ, so we may be found without spot or wrinkle. Do not be deceived, take heed, I foretold you, nobody knows when it will be, be ready, open immediately when the Lord comes. The Lord comes spiritually in a cloud of witnesses [Heb 12:1-2]. The Lord, the Kingdom of God, comes within our hearts and minds. The Day of the Lord is when the Comforter comes to us. Always be ready, every day of our lives, to receive Him. He comes suddenly and unexpectedly. We grow in Grace, watching and examining ourselves. Some of the many Scriptures witness to watching, praying, and staying alert.
Mat 24:4 And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you.
Mat 24:36 But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only.
Mat 24:44 Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh.
Mar 13:35 Watch ye therefore: for ye know not when the master of the house cometh, at even, or at midnight, or at the cockcrowing, or in the morning:
Mar 13:37 And what I say unto you I say unto all, Watch.
Mar 14:34 And saith unto them, My soul is exceeding sorrowful unto death: tarry ye here, and watch.
Mar 14:37 And he cometh, and findeth them sleeping, and saith unto Peter, Simon, sleepest thou? Couldest not thou watch one hour?
Mar 14:38 Watch ye and pray, lest ye enter into temptation. The spirit truly is ready, but the flesh is weak.
Mar 14:41 And he cometh the third time, and saith unto them, Sleep on now, and take your rest: it is enough, the hour is come; behold, the Son of man is betrayed into the hands of sinners.
Mar 14:42 Rise up, let us go; lo, he that betrayeth me is at hand.
Luk 12:35 Let your loins be girded about, and your lights burning;
Luk 12:36 And ye yourselves like unto men that wait for their lord, when he will return from the wedding; that when he cometh and knocketh, they may open unto him immediately.
Luk 12:40 Be ye therefore ready also: for the Son of man cometh at an hour when ye think not.
Luk 13:24 Strive to enter in at the strait gate: for many, I say unto you, will seek to enter in, and shall not be able.
Luk 13:25 When once the master of the house is risen up, and hath shut to the door, and ye begin to stand without, and to knock at the door, saying, Lord, Lord, open unto us; and he shall answer and say unto you, I know you not whence ye are:
Luk 13:26 Then shall ye begin to say, We have eaten and drunk in thy presence, and thou hast taught in our streets.
Luk 13:27 But he shall say, I tell you, I know you not whence ye are; depart from me, all ye workers of iniquity.
Luk 17:20 And when he was demanded of the Pharisees, when the kingdom of God should come, he answered them and said, The kingdom of God cometh not with observation:
Luk 17:21 Neither shall they say, Lo here! Or, lo there! For, behold, the kingdom of God is within you.
Luk 21:27 And then shall they see the Son of man coming in a cloud with power and great glory.
Luk 21:28 And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh.
Luk 21:34 And take heed to yourselves, lest at any time your hearts be overcharged with surfeiting, and drunkenness, and cares of this life, and so that day come upon you unawares.
Luk 21:36 Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man.
Luk 22:40 And when he was at the place, he said unto them, Pray that ye enter not into temptation.
Joh 7:6 Then Jesus said unto them, My time is not yet come: but your time is always ready.
It is the Day of Quick Work
The Lord makes a quick work in our heavens and in our earths. It is not prolonged. Wait for it, it will come.
Ezk 12:25 For I am the LORD: I will speak, and the word that I shall speak shall come to pass; it shall be no more prolonged: for in your days, O rebellious house, will I say the word, and will perform it, saith the Lord GOD.
Hab 2:3 For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry.
Rom 9:28 For he will finish the work, and cut it short in righteousness: because a short work will the Lord make upon the earth.
Rev 22:12 And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be.
It is the 1,000-Year Reign With Christ
One day is as a thousand years to the Lord. The so-called millennium reign is the thousand-year reign spoken of in Revelation, which is just another symbol for the Day of the Lord, the third and final day of God’s plan to rebuild His Holy Temple. It is our day of resurrection, where we are now seated with Christ in the heavens.
2Pe 3:8 But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.
The 1,000 years is our final day of the Lord’s plan. Satan is bound and kicked out of heaven when the Living Spirit of God comes to dwell in us with the Promise.
Rev 12:9 And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.
Rev 12:10 And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night.
Satan is bound in the bottomless pit, which is our flesh, the earth in which Satan roams [1Pe 5:8], requiring us to be on guard and not be snared into sin.
Rev 20:1 And I saw an angel come down from heaven, having the key of the bottomless pit and a great chain in his hand.
Rev 20:2 And he laid hold on the dragon, that old serpent, which is the Devil, and Satan, and bound him a thousand years,
Rev 20:3 And cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and set a seal upon him, that he should deceive the nations no more, till the thousand years should be fulfilled: and after that he must be loosed a little season.
Blessed are those now given to reign with Christ for the 1,000 years, the third day.
Rev 20:4 And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years.
We have been called up hither by the Lord, being called out of our spiritual graves.
Rev 20:6 Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years.
After 1000 years, Satan is loosed, and we see the second beast, who is let loose for a little while. The Lord destroys this beast, and the devil is cast into the Lake of Fire.
Rev 20:7 And when the thousand years are expired, Satan shall be loosed out of his prison,
Rev 20:8 And shall go out to deceive the nations which are in the four quarters of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them together to battle: the number of whom is as the sand of the sea.
Rev 20:9 And they went up on the breadth of the earth, and compassed the camp of the saints about, and the beloved city: and fire came down from God out of heaven, and devoured them.
Rev 20:10 And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever.
The dead in us are now being judged.
Rev 20:11 And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them.
Rev 20:12 And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works.
Rev 20:13 And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works.
Rev 20:14 And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.
Rev 20:15 And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.
We now have the mind of Christ, which is Christ in us, the Hope of Glory.
Rev 21:1 And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea.
Rev 21:2 And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.
Rev 21:3 And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God.
Why is the Lord doing it this Way?
We have discussed some points in the introduction of this letter. Now, just to recap: We drink of the cup of Christ’s wrath because of our fornication and whoring, straying from His Commandments, and trying to establish our own salvation. We have been disobedient while having His commandments since the day we accepted Him as our Saviour. Because of our unfaithfulness, the Lord gives us over to the tormentors [carnal reasonings, logic, genealogies, idols of the heart, lies, and worthless pursuits]. He makes all of the gentile nations within us drink of this cup of His wrath. To say it plainly, the Lord mars us to make us again.
This is by the Lord’s design; every man lives this in the appointed seasons. We now need the Day of Judgment, the Day of the Lord, to clean us up and make us new. There was no fall in the Garden of Eden; Eve lusted after the apple before she ate it. We were created sinning machines before the foundation of the world. We were never created without sin. The pride of life, that is to say, our carnal minds lead every man astray. Mystery Babylon is a rebellious spirit within every man who knows to obey but does not, and needs to be destroyed to know Christ in Spirit and Truth. There is no way out. These are the Lord’s ways. Think and read spiritually.
Psa 51:5 Behold, I was shapen in iniquity; and in sin did my mother conceive me.

Jer 18:4 And the vessel that he made of clay was marred in the hand of the potter: so he made it again another vessel, as seemed good to the potter to make it.
Jer 18:5 Then the word of the LORD came to me, saying,
Jer 18:6 O house of Israel, cannot I do with you as this potter? saith the LORD. Behold, as the clay is in the potter’s hand, so are ye in mine hand, O house of Israel.

Jer 25:17 Then took I the cup at the LORD’S hand, and made all the nations to drink, unto whom the LORD had sent me:
1Co 15:47 The first man is of the earth, earthy: the second man is the Lord from heaven.
1Co 15:48 As is the earthy, such are they also that are earthy: and as is the heavenly, such are they also that are heavenly.

The Lord plans to prosper us by giving us His mind and manifesting His Glory in the appointed time. If we are given the Faith of Christ to believe in Him, we are being saved by this Hope [Rom 8:24]. This is the Hope that is, was, and will be saving us as we abide in it during our “dreadful” Day of the Lord, that is, our time in the Lake of Fire.
Jer 29:12 Then shall ye call upon me, and ye shall go and pray unto me, and I will hearken unto you.
Rom 5:1 Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ,
Rom 5:2 through whom also we have access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God [to be revealed]
Rom 5:3 And not only that, but we also glory in tribulations, knowing that tribulation produces perseverance; Rom 5:4 and perseverance, character; and character, hope.
Rom 5:5 Now hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us.
Conclusion
Trusting in His Promises, we ask the Lord every day to grow into this living Grace of His coming, seeing we have been cleansed through our Baptism of John by the hearing of the Gospel preached to us. Now, we are being made perfect in the fire of the living Word, dying daily to our carnal mindsets and being conformed into the children of God. This is the salvation of our souls. Now, our feet are being washed by the angels of God, preaching the Gospel and shining as examples to follow. All who are sealed with the Holy seed of Promise grow into this Grace, waiting for the appearing of Christ as He appears more and more to us in this Day. We go from glory to glory and see Him as He is.
Joh 13:6 Then cometh he to Simon Peter: and Peter saith unto him, Lord, dost thou wash my feet?
Joh 13:7 Jesus answered and said unto him, What I do thou knowest not now; but thou shalt know hereafter.
Joh 13:8 Peter saith unto him, Thou shalt never wash my feet. Jesus answered him, If I wash thee not, thou hast no part with me.
Joh 13:9 Simon Peter saith unto him, Lord, not my feet only, but also my hands and my head.J
Joh 13:10 Jesus saith to him, He that is washed needeth not save to wash his feet, but is clean every whit: and ye are clean, but not all.
The Lord has us in His living Body of Christ to help one another through what lies ahead and to accomplish and live by every Word that proceeds out of the mouth of God. We comfort each other.
Isa 66:11 That ye may suck, and be satisfied with the breasts of her consolations; that ye may milk out, and be delighted with the abundance of her glory.
2Co 1:7 And our hope of you is stedfast, knowing, that as ye are partakers of the sufferings, so shall ye be also of the consolation.
The Book of Philippians tells us that Christ finishes the good work He began in us. We saw earlier in this letter that Christ brings us to birth.
Isa 66:7 Before she travailed, she brought forth; before her pain came, she was delivered of a man child.
Php 1:6 being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ;
Paul and his fellow workers in the Gospel frequently admonish us to stay the course, to finish the race, to receive the prize.
2Jn 1:8 Look to yourselves, that we lose not those things which we have wrought, but that we receive a full reward.
2Pe 1:10 Therefore, brethren, be even more diligent to make your call and election sure, for if you do these things you will never stumble;
2Pe 1:11 for so an entrance will be supplied to you abundantly into the everlasting kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Do Not Forget the Lord
To end this long and meaty letter, let us look at the most important aspect of this Day of the Lord in our lives and in every man’s life to come. What is it that the Lord teaches us and wants us to know in the marrow of our bones and this is it: I AM THE LORD AND THERE IS NO ONE ELSE BESIDE ME. Do WHAT I SAY.
Isa 44:24 Thus saith the LORD, thy redeemer, and he that formed thee from the womb, I am the LORD that maketh all things; that stretcheth forth the heavens alone; that spreadeth abroad the earth by myself;
Isa 45:5 I am the Lord, and there is none else, there is no God beside me: I girded thee, though thou hast not known me:
Isa 45:6 That they may know from the rising of the sun, and from the west, that there is none beside me. I am the Lord, and there is none else.
Isa 48:17 Thus saith the LORD, thy Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel; I am the Lord thy God which teacheth thee to profit, which leadeth thee by the way that thou shouldest go.
Jol 3:17 So shall ye know that I am the LORD your God dwelling in Zion, my holy mountain: then shall Jerusalem be holy, and there shall no strangers pass through her any more.
Zec 10:6 And I will strengthen the house of Judah, and I will save the house of Joseph, and I will bring them again to place them; for I have mercy upon them: and they shall be as though I had not cast them off: for I am the LORD their God, and will hear them.
The Lord’s Word accomplishes what it sets out to do. We are ruling over sin in the latter days if we are called, chosen, and faithful in this age. This glorious Day of the Lord accomplishes everything the Lord has set out to do and still will do in times to come. We rule and will rule over sin.
Gen 4:6 And the LORD said unto Cain, Why art thou wroth? and why is thy countenance fallen?
Gen 4:7 If thou doest well, shalt thou not be accepted? and if thou doest not well, sin lieth at the door. And unto thee shall be his desire, and thou shalt rule over him.
Rom 6:14 For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace.
