The True and False Circumcision

Defending the Gospel –  the False Circumcision

Understanding the true meaning of circumcision and contrasting it with the false circumcision is a useful reminder for us not to be carried back into a yoke of bondage from which we have been delivered.  There is only one true Gospel, and we are to stand in this Gospel of the living commandments of Christ.  Any other gospel is false, a gospel of the works of men.

Gal 1:6  I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ [Gospel of living commandments] unto another gospel: [Gospel requiring “circumcision” by works of flesh]

Gal 1:7  Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ.

Gal 1:8  But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed.

The Lord’s covenant with Abram, the covenant of circumcision, symbolizes the covenant of faith that would come years later through Jesus Christ.  All Scripture, being the Word of God, is written in parable, including the various forms of circumcision.  The covenant of circumcision is a sign between Abram and the Lord, and all who follow in faith as heirs to the promises.  It is through our faith in the Gospel that righteousness is imputed to us also.

Rom 4:11  And Abram received the sign of circumcision, a seal of the righteousness of the faith which he had yet being uncircumcised: that he might be the father of all them that believe, though they be not circumcised; that righteousness might be imputed unto them also:

Circumcision is a sign between God and the person in covenant with Him.   The Lord chose the outward ritual of cutting the foreskin of the male [man child] to be the outward representation of what He does inwardly.  Males represent the seed, or the doctrine of the relationship, and the seed of Christ is what establishes us as God’s people.  Any male child not circumcised was to be cut off from the people.  The covenant takes place on the eighth day,  symbolizing the new man.  The Spirit of God,  the eternal commandments of the Father, are born within us.  This is the man-child coming forth.  We are the seed following after Abram, the father of all faith.

Gen 17:10  This is my covenant, which ye shall keep, between me and you and thy seed after thee; Every man child among you shall be circumcised.

Gen 17:11  And ye shall circumcise the flesh of your foreskin; and it shall be a token of the covenant between me and you.

Gen 17:12  And he that is eight days old shall be circumcised among you, every man child in your generations, he that is born in the house, or bought with money of any stranger, which is not of thy seed.

Gen 17:13  He that is born in thy house, and he that is bought with thy money, must needs be circumcised: and my covenant shall be in your flesh for an everlasting covenant.

Gen 17:14  And the uncircumcised man child whose flesh of his foreskin is not circumcised, that soul shall be cut off from his people; he hath broken my covenant.

The true circumcision happens when Christ, the living Word, is born in our hearts. The man-child spiritually signifies doctrine and, more specifically, the Lord’s doctrine or commandments.  The man-child born is Christ living in our house, and this is the true sign that we belong to God.  We have been born again, and the newly formed new man begins to grow as Christ is being formed in us.  Jesus Christ in the flesh was circumcised on the eighth day, symbolizing that our circumcision of heart, the new man coming forth comes on the eighth day.

Luk 2:21  And when eight days were accomplished for the circumcising of the child, his name was called JESUS, which was so named of the angel before he was conceived in the womb.

This outward circumcision of the foreskin is only a shadow of the true circumcision that has always been about the inward heart.   The true circumcision is having the commandments put into our hearts and obeying the covenant.  This is salvation and the true mark of who belongs to the Lord.  The true circumcision was always there, just buried in the details of the Old Testament.

Deu 30:5  And the LORD thy God will bring thee into the land which thy fathers possessed, and thou shalt possess it; and he will do thee good, and multiply thee above thy fathers.

Deu 30:6  And the LORD thy God will circumcise thine heart, and the heart of thy seed, to love the LORD thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, that thou mayest live.

Deu 30:8  And thou shalt return and obey the voice of the LORD, and do all his commandments which I command thee this day.

We are circumcised in Spirit as we hearken unto the commandments of the Lord that have been put into us as the Israel of God.

Jer 4:4  Circumcise yourselves to the LORD, and take away the foreskins of your heart, ye men of Judah and inhabitants of Jerusalem:

The Lord scourges every son He receives with His grace by way of the living Word, the indwelling commands which are the baptism by fire.  This chastening grace turns us from being uncircumcised to circumcised by giving us a completely new heart [Eze 36:26].  The true circumcision takes place as the Spirit of the Lord comes to make His abode in us.  This is the power of the Gospel, the living commandments, the Spirit of Christ coming to our inward parts as promised.   This is the new covenant of the Gospel.

Jer 31:33  But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; After those days, saith the LORD, I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their God, and they shall be my people.

This is the only circumcision that matters and it is in our hearts and is the work of the living and active Word of God that is Jesus Christ.  If we are circumcised, we have received the Gospel and Christ, and the living commandments live in our hearts.  We are now risen with Christ from the dead, and begin to overcome our sins.

Col 2:11  In whom also ye are circumcised with the circumcision made without hands, in putting off the body of the sins of the flesh by the circumcision of Christ:

Col 2:12  Buried with him in baptism, wherein also ye are risen with him through the faith of the operation of God, who hath raised him from the dead.

Col 2:13  And you, being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh, hath he quickened together with him, having forgiven you all trespasses;

This is the Gospel, the good news and the hidden mystery now being revealed to the saints who receive it.  Those of the household of faith who believe this Gospel are the true circumcision.  Such are also the true Jews, whose hearts are circumcised by the Lord’s Spirit with no outward acts or any works of man required.

Rom 2:28  For he is not a Jew, which is one outwardly; neither is that circumcision, which is outward in the flesh:

Rom 2:29  But he is a Jew, which is one inwardly; and circumcision is that of the heart, in the spirit, and not in the letter; whose praise is not of men, but of God.

The False Circumcision:

The false circumcision we are warned about are those claiming to be God’s people who have not received this Gospel of the Lord’s commandments.  A Jew [professing Christian] who trusts in their spiritual knowledge and/or their own strengths to overcome sins is the modern-day Pharisee or Sadducee we encounter on the journey within and without ourselves.  These “Jews” without the Gospel are unbelievers who are the uncircumcised of heart.  They do not have the faith of Christ and teach it is by their own works, their studies, and outward good works by which one is circumcised.  They trust in their riches, which are rotten. The unbelieving Jews trust in their idols of knowledge and are not willing to come to the commandments [Him] and be saved.  They stir up the multitudes against Christ.

Act 14:2  But the unbelieving Jews stirred up the Gentiles, and made their minds evil affected against the brethren.

This was us in our past, spending years studying the Scriptures, being ever learning but never able to come to the commandments that is Him.

Joh 5:39  Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me.

Joh 5:40  And ye will not come to me, that ye might have life.

The flesh Jews [Christians] trusting in their knowledge are depicted in the Scripture as being of “the circumcision”.  These are hardened of heart, having not the Spirit, and contend most earnestly against the Gospel of Jesus Christ.  These are deceivers of the false circumcision, bringing false Gospels, illustrating why watchmen are needed to guard the true sheep.

Tit 1:10  For there are many unruly and vain talkers and deceivers, especially they of the circumcision

Tit 1:11  Whose mouths must be stopped, who subvert whole houses, teaching things which they ought not, for filthy lucre’s sake.

When the commandments are preached, one can expect the uncircumcised of heart, trusting in their false circumcision of knowledge to contend against the Gospel.

Act 11:2  And when Peter was come up to Jerusalem, they that were of the circumcision contended with him

Act 11:3  Saying, Thou wentest in to men uncircumcised, and didst eat with them.

There is an advantage of one coming from this “Jewish” background who brings knowledge gleaned through study into the ministry of the Gospel.

Rom 3:1  What advantage then hath the Jew? or what profit is there of circumcision?

Rom 3:2  Much every way: chiefly, because that unto them were committed the oracles of God.

The oracles of God are the mysteries and promises of God contained in the Old Testament Scripture.  Salvation comes through the Jews, who are the preachers the Lord first anoints and sends to gather the flocks.

Joh 4:22  You worship what you do not know; we know what we worship, for salvation is through the Jews.

It is useful for the Lord’s purposes to have some with this knowledge of the “circumcision” background in the Body to minister the Gospel to both  Jews and Gentiles.

1Co 12:4  NLT There are different kinds of spiritual gifts, but the same Spirit is the source of them all.

Having this knowledge of the Scriptures is very helpful, and we see many of Paul’s fellow workers in the ministry of the Gospel are said to be of the circumcision.

Col 4:10  Aristarchus my fellowprisoner saluteth you, and Marcus, sister’s son to Barnabas, (touching whom ye received commandments: if he come unto you, receive him;)

Col 4:11  And Jesus, which is called Justus, who are of the circumcision. These only are my fellowworkers unto the kingdom of God, which have been a comfort unto me.

This circumcision that represents the knowledge from the Old Testament is not necessary to be saved.  Only the inward spiritual circumcision of our heart by the living and indwelling commandments is necessary.  Yet the body of Christ needs teachers and ministers who are apt to teach, and thus, the circumcision background is helpful, and it makes the preacher more acceptable in the eyes of the unbelieving Jews.  Paul even had the well-respected Timothy circumcised so he could be used more in the ministry.  This circumcision was teaching him the knowledge of the law and the prophets for the benefit of administering the Gospel and hopefully winning some Jews to Christ.  Timothy, being from a Greek family, did not have his foreskin cut off as Paul knew it was just an outward shadow of the truth.

Act 16:3  NKJV Paul wanted to have him [Timothy] go on with him. And he took him and circumcised him because of the Jews who were in that region, for they all knew that his father was Greek.

Timothy’s circumcision was his being schooled in the law and the prophets.  This was done by the laying on of hands by Paul and the elders who taught Timothy the gift of the deeper things of the Old Testament so he could also teach.

1Ti 4:14  Neglect not the gift that is in thee, which was given thee by prophecy, with the laying on of the hands of the presbytery.

Paul’s helpers in the ministry of the Gospel included some of the circumcision and also some that were not of the circumcision, such as Titus.

Gal 2:3  But neither Titus, who was with me, being a Greek [Gentile], was compelled to be circumcised:

Scriptures tell us that Peter and Paul generally split their focus, with Peter going to the circumcised [Jews schooled in knowledge] and Paul to the uncircumcised, who are the Gentiles. In preaching the Gospel, winning them to Christ is the only goal.  Paul shared how he adapted to his audience and did not use a one-size-fits-all approach.  To the Jews, he became a Jew, using his knowledge of the law and the prophets, and even getting involved in some purification rituals [Acts 21] so as not to offend and win some to the Lord.   Being a Jew himself, to the Gentiles, without the understanding of Moses and the prophets, Paul took a different approach to win them.  We meet those the Lord brings to us at their level and preach the good news of salvation by the living Word of God.  The Lord gives the increase to those who believe.

1Co 9:20  and to the Jews I became as a Jew, that I might win Jews; to those who are under the law, as under the law, that I might win those who are under the law;

1Co 9:21  to those who are without law, as without law (not being without law toward God, but under law toward Christ), that I might win those who are without law;

1Co 9:22  to the weak I became as weak, that I might win the weak. I have become all things to all men, that I might by all means save some.

Paul’s ministry was primarily to the Gentiles; however, both Jews and Gentiles came to hear Paul, yet few Jews received the Gospel and were converted.  The reason is they were already full, rich in knowledge, full of pride, and in need of nothing. Still in our strong delusion, feasting on the fruit of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, rather than the commandments, one remains in Spiritual Babylon.

Rev 18:7  How much she hath glorified herself, and lived deliciously, so much torment and sorrow give her: for she saith in her heart, I sit a queen, and am no widow, and shall see no sorrow.

To the circumcised Jews [Christians today], the Gospel of Christ is a stumbling block as they cannot receive the commandments which is eating Christ’s flesh and drinking His blood.  These of the circumcision greatly dispute the Gospel, and so it is today.  We best be prepared.

Act 13:45  But when the Jews saw the multitudes, they were filled with envy, and spake against those things which were spoken by Paul, contradicting and blaspheming.

Act 13:46  Then Paul and Barnabas waxed bold, and said, It was necessary that the word of God should first have been spoken to you: but seeing ye put it from you, and judge yourselves unworthy of everlasting life, lo, we turn to the Gentiles.

Those of the circumcision eat the fruit of the tree of knowledge a long time before the Spirit of the Living Christ, the commandments come before them.   Many of the “circumcision of knowledge” vehemently strive against the Gospel of Jesus Christ, as it destroys their ministry and pride.

Jesus Christ and His Christ, eat with sinners, harlots, and all who are spiritually hungry who desire to eat with us. We feed them the commandments, that is, the Gospel, which is also the tree of life and the Lord’s supper.   We eat this bread of life daily with all who have been called by Christ’s name, be they Jew or Gentile. It does not matter one bit about the knowledge [circumcision].

1Co 11:26  For as often as ye eat this bread, and drink this cup, ye do shew the Lord’s death till he come.

Neither the outward physical circumcision of the foreskin being cut or the false inward circumcision of knowledge does anything to change the heart.  Only the living commandments believed in one’s heart bring the grace of God that saves.  The indwelling living commandments in our hearts is Jesus Christ crucified, the cross/tree and how the new creation is being made.  Any other Gospel is a false Gospel.   The idol of knowledge makes a good showing in the flesh and avoids the persecution for the Gospel.

Gal 6:12  As many as desire to make a good showing in the flesh, these would compel you to be circumcised, only that they may not suffer persecution for the cross of Christ.

Gal 6:13  For not even those who are circumcised keep the law, but they desire to have you circumcised that they may boast in your flesh.

Gal 6:14  But God forbid that I should boast except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom the world has been crucified to me, and I to the world.

Gal 6:15  For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision avails anything, but a new creation

The blessing of Abraham is the blessing of the Gospel, the same as given to the saints.  The faith by which it is imputed unto Abraham and to us as righteousness is the believing in the living commandments of Jesus Christ because He is the Word.  The Gospel is the true circumcision of the heart from which the Lord imputes us as being righteous already, even  before we do righteousness.  The seal of God is the living commandments now in our hearts and the Lord speaks of things that are not as if they already were.

Rom 4:9  Cometh this blessedness then upon the circumcision only, or upon the uncircumcision also? for we say that faith was reckoned to Abraham for righteousness.

Rom 4:10  How was it then reckoned? when he was in circumcision, or in uncircumcision? Not in circumcision, but in uncircumcision

The living commandments are the stumbling block to the circumcised Jews who trust in their mammon of knowledge instead.

1Co 1:23  But we preach Christ crucified, unto the Jews a stumblingblock, and unto the Greeks foolishness;

1Co 1:24  But unto them which are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God, and the wisdom of God.

The “Jews of the circumcision” make many idols as they indulge in self-glory and contend against those who preach the Gospel of the commandments.   They esteem lightly the commandments, and their focus is always on more knowledge.  Paul reminded Timothy and reminds us to turn away from such.

2Ti 3:2  For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,

2Ti 3:3  Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good,

2Ti 3:4  Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;

2Ti 3:5  Having a form of godliness, but denying the power[THE COMMANDMENTS] thereof: from such turn away.

2Ti 3:6  For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts,

2Ti 3:7  Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.

We have many warnings about these “Jews” who are false brethren coming into the assemblies and steering those who began well in the Spirit back under the law [tree of knowledge, law of Gentiles] by which they become bound to the works of their flesh.  Those in Christ are not to allow this to happen and  give not place to any man to come with these false gospels.

Gal 2:4  And that because of false brethren unawares brought in, who came in privily to spy out our liberty which we have in Christ Jesus, that they might bring us into bondage:

Gal 2:5  To whom we gave place by subjection, no, not for an hour; that the truth of the gospel might continue with you.

Hardly a rich man, full of their knowledge, shall enter into the kingdom of God.  Those who enter in are the sick, the lame, the poor, the tax collectors, the harlots who need the help to overcome their sins.  The standard for righteousness to enter into the kingdom is a lot higher than possessing the knowledge of scribes and Pharisees.  One needs Christ and the righteousness the living commandments bring, in their heart.

Mat 5:20  For I say unto you, That except your righteousness shall exceed  that of the scribes and Pharisees, ye shall in no case enter into the kingdom of heaven.

We are warned to beware of these Jews whom Paul likened unto dogs.  These are spiritual dogs, who tear their spiritual meat being the concision.   These are those who eat and drink unworthily of the serpent’s table, having confidence in their flesh and are nothing but well-fed beasts that the Lord rejects.  Beware and stay safe.

Php 3:1  Finally, my brethren, rejoice in the Lord. To write the same things to you, to me indeed is not grievous, but for you it is safe.

Php 3:2  Beware of dogs, beware of evil workers, beware of the circumcision.

We are not to cast our holy meat of this Gospel before these dogs lest they turn and rend us.

Mat 7:6  Give not that which is holy unto the dogs, neither cast ye your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn again and rend you.

The true spiritual Jews, the true circumcision, are those focused on the Gospel and the doing of the Lord’s commandments.  Having been redeemed by the Lord’s mercy, we no longer lust after the knowledge but now hearken unto the living commandments.  The Lord has forgiven us and has called us into the ministry to preach this Gospel as the true circumcision.

Php 3:3  For we are the circumcision, which worship God in the spirit  [the living commandments], and rejoice in Christ Jesus, and have no confidence in the flesh.

The hour is now as Christ has come to those who believe this Gospel, and the Spirit of the living commandments takes root in them.  The true circumcision are also the true worshippers of God; who worship not the man Jesus in the flesh, whom they know no more, but the Holy Commandments of the Father. This is the Gospel we preach to the scattered pilgrims around the world who have Christ’s name upon their foreheads.  Some are hearing.

Joh 4:23  But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him.

All the knowledge and studies we gleaned over many years are dung if we do not have these commandments, the very love of God in our hearts.   All that matters is a new creation that is winning Christ.   This is the prize of the higher calling of God we now press on to receive.

Php 3:8  Yea doubtless, and I count all things but loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord: for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and do count them but dung, that I may win Christ,

Php 3:9  And be found in him, not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith: [The Commandments]

Php 3:10  That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death;

We are to stand in the freedom of Christ’s perfect law of liberty and not go back to the bondage of knowledge.  Once receiving this Gospel, we are warned not to go back and try to be circumcised with the knowledge as the false circumcision teaches.  If we do that and leave the commandments and begin eating from the fruit of the tree of knowledge again, Christ profits us nothing.

Gal 5:1  Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage.

Gal 5:2  Behold, I Paul say unto you, that if ye be circumcised, Christ shall profit you nothing.

The true ones stand firm and eat from the tree of life and refrain from idols and spiritual fornication at the serpent’s tree of knowledge.  It does not take much to spoil the food that nourishes us and heals us.

Gal 5:6  For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision avails anything, but faith working through love.

Gal 5:7  You ran well. Who hindered you from obeying the truth?

Gal 5:8  This persuasion does not come from Him who calls you.

Gal 5:9  A little leaven leavens the whole lump.

We are commanded to abide in the same calling wherein we were called to the Gospel.  It is simply not necessary for a Gentile to go through all the studying of the law and the prophets to become like a Jew.  All that matters now is the keeping of the commandments, which means becoming a doer of the Word, a disciple indeed.

1Co 7:17  But as God hath distributed to every man, as the Lord hath called every one, so let him walk. And so ordain I in all churches.

1Co 7:18  Is any man called being circumcised? let him not become uncircumcised [start chasing knowledge]. Is any called in uncircumcision? let him not be circumcised [chase knowledge].

1Co 7:19  Circumcision is nothing, and uncircumcision is nothing, but the keeping of the commandments of God.

1Co 7:20  Let every man abide in the same calling wherein he was called.

All Scriptures is Good and Profitable for Us:

One must not twist this message regarding circumcision and the idolatrous pursuit of knowledge from the Scriptures. The Scriptures remain invaluable in equipping us for this race we are running, as Paul wrote Timothy.

2Ti 3:15  And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which can make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.

2Ti 3:16  All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:

2Ti 3:17  That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.

The Lord’s commandments and instructions to His people are throughout the Scriptures.  It is specifically those commandments that are most profitable for doctrine, correction, and instruction into righteousness.   The commandments need to remain the focus, as reminding ourselves of them makes one wise unto salvation.  The key is to stay in the middle of the road, on the commandments, and not lose sight of the prize.  The road is narrow and if we are not careful, we can fall on the wayside, making an idol out of knowledge.  We should never take our eye off the prize of the high calling.

Php 3:14  I press on toward the goal for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.

Eating and Drinking in the Kingdoms

Examining How and What We Eat

To the pilgrims of Christ in many nations.  We give thanks to the Lord and the Father for opening the eyes of our hearts to see the truth of the Gospel.  May these words accomplish the work the Lord intends in those who hear.

As we are drawn to the Lord, studying the Scriptures and seeking the truth, we consume spiritual food, advancing us into the kingdom.  Having received the Gospel, we now abide in Him and the mystery which is the living Christ, the commandments making us heirs to His kingdom.

Eph 3:4  Whereby, when ye read, ye may understand my knowledge in the mystery of Christ

Eph 3:5  Which in other ages was not made known unto the sons of men, as it is now revealed unto his holy apostles and prophets by the Spirit;

Eph 3:6  That the Gentiles should be fellowheirs, and of the same body, and partakers of his promise in Christ by the gospel

Eating and drinking symbolize the spiritual truths we consume and take to heart.  These beliefs are what guide, nourish, and sustain one on their walk.  As we eat and drink with Christ, we consume His words, meaning His commandments, and take them to heart.  This is the only way of salvation.  What defiles us is what comes out of a man.  If we eat and drink worthily, by eating at the tree of life that is the commandments, we are reaping the fruits of righteousness.  Eating and drinking unworthily at the tree of knowledge of good and evil leads to the wages of sin.

Mat 15:18  But those things which proceed out of the mouth come forth from the heart; and they defile the man.

Mat 15:19  For out of the heart proceed evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, blasphemies:

The adage that “you are what you eat” has great wisdom.  The physical acts of eating and drinking show us these truths [Rom 1:20] that are applicable in the spiritual realm of God.  If one eats or drinks poorly, they become sick, diseased, fat, and may even die.  So, it is in the Spirit.   We learn through Daniel that the Lord’s chosen people, having favour with Him, are given better food to eat, even while in captivity.

Dan 1:8  NKJV But Daniel purposed in his heart that he would not defile himself with the portion of the king’s delicacies, nor with the wine which he drank; therefore he requested of the chief of the eunuchs that he might not defile himself.

Sitting in captivity with the king of Babylon, those favored of God are given special allowances to eat our requested food and refrain from eating and drinking that which the king gave everyone else.  A test was done, and the countenance of the health of Daniel and the others was far better; thus, they continued eating clean food and refraining from the defiled food of Babylon.

Dan 1:15  NKJV And at the end of ten days their features appeared better and fatter in flesh than all the young men who ate the portion of the king’s delicacies.

Dan 1:16  Thus the steward took away their portion of delicacies and the wine that they were to drink, and gave them vegetables.

Eating the food the Lord provides brings the true knowledge of God and great wisdom, and understanding.  This food is the commandments.

Dan 1:17  As for these four young men, God gave them knowledge and skill in all literature and wisdom; and Daniel had understanding in all visions and dreams.

Abiding in the commandments is our food, the meat of Christ, and the true living bread. This food provides the strength to perform the greater works, doing the work of the Father who sent Christ, who in turn sends us.  This work is preaching the one true Gospel and revealing the mystery to those ordained to receive the truth.  The sons of God are eating of the Gospel of the Father’s commandments.

Joh 4:32  NKJV But He said to them, “I have food [meat] to eat of which you do not know.”

Joh 4:33  Therefore the disciples said to one another, “Has anyone brought Him anything to eat?”

Joh 4:34  Jesus said to them, “My food is to do the will of Him who sent Me, and to finish His work.

The commandments are also about drinking the new wine that is Jesus Christ.  We taste this wine as we witness the first miracle in our walk with Christ.  As chosen disciples, we accompany Christ to a wedding wherein the water of the Word [we knew in the letter, hearing only] is turned into the wine of the Gospel.  Now we walk out our faith being chastened and transformed by the living commandments that is judging us and making our paths straight.  The kingdom of God is no longer near; it has come unto all that receive the Gospel.  Those who hear are invited to come to the wedding feast with Christ.

Joh 2:1  On the third day, there was a wedding in Cana of Galilee, and the mother of Jesus was there.

Joh 2:2  Now both Jesus and His disciples [YOU and ME] were invited to the wedding.

The true mother of Christ is those who keep His Word as the Scriptures declare.  We are the first to drink of this new wine, and it’s a miracle.

The commandments, Christ the living word, is the true knowledge of God that we eat daily as we follow the Lord.  The living commandments are Christ and is the way, the truth, and the life.  At first, we only hear the commands and do not do them, as we must receive the power of Christ working inside His Holy Temple.  We must patiently wait for the power of His indwelling Spirit, the Holy Spirit, to come.

Act 1:8  But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.

The Word of God, the commandments are pure and undefiled, reserved for us in heaven as the favored of God.  These living words are the unleavened bread the Israelites ate in the shadow of the Old Testament.  We do not add to it or take away from the commandments; we just do them.

Pro 30:5  Every word of God is pure: he is a shield unto them that put their trust in him.

Pro 30:6  Add thou not unto his words, lest he reprove thee, and thou be found a liar.

Israel of old was given strict commands about what they could and could not eat under the law of Moses.  These laws are just shadows of the instructions by which the sons of God are to eat the living word of commandments.  We cover just one example for brevity and understanding.  Swine or pork was forbidden to be eaten because those animals do not chew the cud, meaning they gobble down their food without considering it and meditating upon it.  When one quickly eats up everything in sight like swine, one inevitably ingests bad food with the good food and thereby becomes defiled.  The Lord’s commandments are pure and simple and are not to be polluted by anything.  Those in the Lord do not eat with spiritual swine, as we are commanded to be careful in how we eat and conduct ourselves in the household of God.  Spiritual swine are fornicators and gluttons, covetous for even more food and always adding to the Word of God by their eating.  We are commanded not to eat with them.

1Co 5:11  But now I have written unto you not to keep company, if any man that is called a brother be a fornicator, or covetous, or an idolater, or a railer, or a drunkard, or an extortioner; with such an one no not to eat.

These are judgments we make daily, judging actions, not the person, and above all, obeying the Lord.  The detailed knowledge of these Old Testament shadows is not necessary for one to come to the commandments [Christ] and be saved.  The example of swine illustrates the allure of flesh that desires to pursue this other knowledge, forgetting the commandments to only eat at the Lord’s table.  In the end, all that matters is a new creation, and only the living commandments in our hearts cause that to happen.  More knowledge does nothing to advance the grace of God.  Eating unworthily, we dishonor our Father and profane the table of the Lord, despising the commandments, bringing polluted spiritual food to the altar of our heart.

Mal 1:7  Ye offer polluted bread upon mine altar; and ye say, Wherein have we polluted thee? In that ye say, The table of the LORD is contemptible.

Mal 1:12  But ye have profaned it, in that ye say, The table of the LORD is polluted; and the fruit thereof, even his meat, is contemptible.

After first coming to Christ, all drift away from His law and begin to add to and take away from the commandments.  Now eating defiled food of all kinds, resulting in all kinds of spiritual diseases and sicknesses.  There is no overcoming of sin when we do not hearken unto the voice of the Lord, meaning His commandments.

Exo 15:26  And said, If thou wilt diligently hearken to the voice of the LORD thy God, and wilt do that which is right in his sight, and wilt give ear to his commandments, and keep all his statutes, I will put none of these diseases upon thee, which I have brought upon the Egyptians: for I am the LORD that healeth thee.

Before we receive this Gospel, we are plagued with many spiritual plagues and diseases without overcoming.  Believing in Christ’s Gospel, we are hearkening unto the Lord’s commandments, and all of our spiritual diseases are being healed, and we are raised from the state of death into newness of life.  This comes by the way of Jesus Christ, the Word who is the holy commandments of the Father.

Mat 11:4  Jesus answered and said unto them, Go and shew John again those things which ye do hear and see:

Mat 11:5  The blind receive their sight, and the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, and the deaf hear, the dead are raised up, and the poor have the gospel preached to them.

Many say but do not do the commandments of Christ.  This is all of us before we get the power of the Gospel.  We labor to be rich and drift away from doing the work of God, which is believing [doing] His commandments.    Leaven creeps into the food and drink, as there are many false prophets, teachers, apostles, gospels, and even antichrists to be endured.  Departing from the commandments is departing from Christ; we leave our first love.

Rev 2:4  Nevertheless I have somewhat against thee, because thou hast left thy first love [i.e. Christ, the Living Word, the Commandments, the Gospel, the Holy Spirit]

Rev 2:5  Remember therefore from whence thou art fallen, and repent, and do the first works; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will remove thy candlestick out of his place, except thou repent.

This mystery of the Lord’s ways is shown in the fall of Adam and Eve.  All mankind disobeys the commandment and eats from the forbidden tree of the knowledge of good and evil.  The fruit of this tree appeals greatly to the lust of our flesh and the pride of life living inside these clay vessels.  Satan, the serpent who is the spirit of the carnal mind, tempts us to sin, questioning the commandments by asking, “Did God say not to eat of this tree?” The serpent’s lie is mixed with some truth and we readily stray from the simplicity of the commandment.  If correction is not brought quickly, we can completely fall, thus we have this exhortation.

2Ti 4:2  Preach the word [The Commandments, not knowledge]; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine.

The tree of knowledge is the devil’s table and not the Lord’s.  Flesh loves to eat from it as we covet knowledge more than obeying the Lord.  Wherever a man’s heart is, there will be his treasure.  The serpent’s food keeps us in bondage to the law of the Gentiles and the accusing and excusing mindset that is the carnal mind.  Rather than doing the commandments, we justify ourselves by gobbling down food, feasting, and becoming drunk with more of the wine of knowledge.   This is a snare that takes the commandments, the living Christ, coming into our hearts to set us free.

Isa 28:13  But the word of the LORD was unto them precept upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little; that they might go, and fall backward, and be broken, and snared, and taken.

If we have the living Christ dwelling in us, being sons of God, we have been set free from the bondage of this cruel cobra venom.

Deu 32:32  For their vine is of the vine of Sodom And of the fields of Gomorrah; Their grapes are grapes of gall, Their clusters are bitter.

Deu 32:33  Their wine is the poison of serpents, And the cruel venom of cobras

Christ, the true bread of the Father, the living commandments, comes to us twice in the plan of salvation.  This is seen in the shadow of the old, where the tablets of commandments we first do not keep are given to us a second time [See Exodus 34].   We need the second coming of Christ to receive the power that is the indwelling Spirit, also known as our Comforter.

Joh 14:16  And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever;

Joh 14:17  Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.

Joh 14:18  I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you.

This is our patience as we wait and pray for Him to come.  Christ leaves us for a season but promises to come again, and then we are eating and drinking at the Lord’s table in the Father’s kingdom.

Mat 26:29  But I say unto you, I will not drink henceforth of this fruit of the vine, until that day when I drink it new with you in my Father’s kingdom.

Going astray, forsaking His commandments [Christ] and eating and drinking unworthily is written in our book as all things are ours to fulfill.  Everyone being saved is first the prodigal son, who leaves their father’s house in search of riches and riotous living.  We leave the Father in our solemn assemblies, pursuing knowledge and spiritual riches, having many festivals of food and wine as we search the Scriptures.  Our hearts are not yet willing to come to the living God, the commandments which is the Gospel.  If we draw near to Him [the commands], He draws near to us.

Living by every word has us getting spiritually fat when we first hear the commandments and have our ears opened to the Words of God.  With full bellies of the wrong food, we fall asleep and forget [perceive not] the truth.

Isa 6:9  And he said, Go, and tell this people, Hear ye indeed, but understand not; and see ye indeed, but perceive not.

Isa 6:10  Make the heart of this people fat, and make their ears heavy, and shut their eyes; lest they see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and understand with their heart, and convert, and be healed.

Our falling away from Christ, the commandments come first, and then we are given to see the abomination of desolation in our spiritual house.   This is how our hearts are turned back to the commandments.

Isa 6:11  Then said I, Lord, how long? And he answered, Until the cities be wasted without inhabitant, and the houses without man, and the land be utterly desolate

This strong delusion is unavoidable as it must come to pass before the Lord returns in the day of the Lord and gives us the power to overcome by the indwelling living commandments that is His Spirit.

2Th 2:3  Let no one deceive you by any means; for that Day will not come unless the falling away comes first, and the man of sin is revealed, the son of perdition,

2Th 2:4  who opposes and exalts himself above all that is called God or that is worshiped, so that he sits as God in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God.

The Lord’s table of the true living bread and wine, the commandments, is never esteemed by those who walk in the flesh.  We wax fat in our delusions and pride in our spiritual riches, lightly esteeming the commandments.   We therefore sacrifice to our devils and not to God in this our strong delusion.

Deu 32:15  But Jeshurun waxed fat, and kicked: thou art waxen fat, thou art grown thick, thou art covered with fatness; then he forsook God which made him, and lightly esteemed the Rock of his salvation.

Deu 32:16  They provoked him to jealousy with strange gods, with abominations provoked they him to anger.

Deu 32:17  They sacrificed unto devils, not to God; to gods whom they knew not, to new gods that came newly up, whom your fathers feared not.

But we cannot eat at both tables as it provokes the Lord, whose name is Jealous.

1Co 10:21  Ye cannot drink the cup of the Lord, and the cup of devils: ye cannot be partakers of the Lord’s table, and of the table of devils.

We are to always examine how we eat and drink spiritual nourishment. Not eating properly makes one weak and sickly, and many fall asleep, doing no work in the kingdom.

1Co 11:28  But let a man examine himself, and so let him eat of that bread, and drink of that cup.

1Co 11:29  For he that eateth and drinketh unworthily, eateth and drinketh damnation to himself, not discerning the Lord’s body.

1Co 11:30  For this cause many are weak and sickly among you, and many sleep.

Eating defiled food, the bread of adversity, keeps our spiritual house desolate without overcoming and afflicted in lamentation.

Lam 1:4  The ways of Zion do mourn, because none come to the solemn feasts: all her gates are desolate: her priests sigh, her virgins are afflicted, and she is in bitterness.

Knowing but not doing the commandments is being unfaithful to Christ.  The Lord takes away from those who waste His talents, and thus He takes the Word of commandments out of our hearts.  Without the rain of the living commandments, a famine of hearing the Words of the Lord [Amo 8] comes, and that is how we are turned over to strong delusion.  A jealous God takes away His tabernacle, feasts, and sabbaths that once sustained us.   We have forgotten the Lord our maker and turned our backs on His commandments.

Lam 2:5  The Lord was as an enemy: he hath swallowed up Israel, he hath swallowed up all her palaces: he hath destroyed his strongholds, and hath increased in the daughter of Judah mourning and lamentation.

Lam 2:6  And he hath violently taken away his tabernacle, as if it were of a garden: he hath destroyed his places of the assembly: the LORD hath caused the solemn feasts and sabbaths to be forgotten in Zion, and hath despised in the indignation of his anger the king and the priest.

The Lord must call us out of this strong delusion that represents Spiritual Babylon within us.  In Spiritual Babylon, we feast on food that is everything but the commandments, and we make idols out of our knowledge of the deep mysteries hidden in the law and the prophets.  We become enemies of the cross of Jesus Christ.

Php 3:18  For many walk, of whom I have told you often, and now tell you even weeping, that they are the enemies of the cross of Christ:

Php 3:19  Whose end is destruction, whose God is their belly, and whose glory is in their shame, who mind earthly things.

Eating the Lord’s Supper in the Kingdom

When Christ comes the second time, we belong to Him and receive an earnest deposit of His Spirit of the commandments in which we now walk.  This is the true knowledge of God and the heavenly treasures we pursue, being sons of God led by His Spirit.  To those without the living Spirit, these riches are not attractive, as Christ and His Christ are not esteemed by those in the world.  Following the commandments, we become a stench of death to the world, yet for us of like mind,  we are a sweet-smelling savour to one another.  Knowing the Lord is THE HOLY COMMANDMENTS of the Father is how we lean not on our own knowledge and understanding.

Pro 3:5  Trust in the LORD [The commandments] with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.

Pro 3:6  In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.

The living commandments within us are what give birth to the new man.  They are our beloved and where we lean [trust] in all ways.

Son 8:5  Who is this coming up from the wilderness, Leaning upon her beloved? I awakened you under the apple tree. There your mother brought you forth; There she who bore you brought you forth.

The commandments, the Lord’s food, lift us out of our graves rebirthing us to a new life in Christ.

Jas 4:10  Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord [The Commandments], and he [the commands] shall lift you up.

There is great joy in our hearts when our eyes open to see this truth.

We have not yet arrived, having only a measure of the Spirit of the Father’s commandments.  Being in bodies of weak carnal flesh, we carefully watch with whom and how we eat the Lord’s supper.  A little leaven of our fleshly lusts can creep in and spoil the whole meal.  Evil company corrupts, and we are to separate those who continue to practice disobedience and take lightly the Lord’s commandments.  Staying with the simplicity and purity of the living commandments is paramount, and we never allow it to be mixed, added to, or subtracted from.

1Co 5:7  Purge out therefore the old leaven, that ye may be a new lump, as ye are unleavened. For even Christ our passover is sacrificed for us:

1Co 5:8  Therefore let us keep the feast, not with old leaven, neither with the leaven of malice and wickedness; but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth. [The commandments]

Part 2 – Coming Out of Spiritual Babylon

The Orthodox churches that many come through are just the shadow of Babylon.  The true Spiritual Babylon is primarily within our hearts and also outside in our time of fellowshipping with the many called.  In Babylon, we eat King Nebuchadnezzar’s meat and drink his wine. This means we are pursuing our lust, seeking the mammon of spiritual riches, and not being content with the simple food of the Lord’s commandments.

Dan 1:5  And the king appointed them a daily provision of the king’s meat, and of the wine which he drank: so nourishing them three years, that at the end thereof they might stand before the king.

Dwelling in Spiritual Babylon [us in our time], we want nothing to do with THE LAW OF CHRIST, the living commandments.  As soldiers of the Lord, we are commanded to be content with our wages, and those wages are His commandments and the measure of His Spirit given.

Luk 3:14  And the soldiers likewise demanded of him, saying, And what shall we do? And he said unto them, Do violence to no man, neither accuse any falsely; and be content with your wages.

Only the Lord can give the increase and give us more faith of His commandments, so we wait on Him to bring us the rain and food we need.  This is entering into His rest, trusting Him to provide.

Mat 6:31  Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed?

Mat 6:32  (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things.

Mat 6:33  But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

Our activities in Babylon are about the riches and the appearances rather than the doing.  This woman is arrayed in expensive clothing and fine gems, having the appearance of Godliness.  Yet in Babylon, we are dead in our sins, separated from the very commandments that save.  The living Christ, the commandments have not been resurrected within us.  We have not heard the call to arise and come forth.  When the living Word of Christ is revealed, the commandments, and our eyes see it, we are amazed, as was John, at just how strong the delusion of Spiritual Babylon is.

Rev 17:3  NKJV So he carried me away in the Spirit into the wilderness. And I saw a woman sitting on a scarlet beast which was full of names of blasphemy, having seven heads and ten horns.

Rev 17:4  The woman was arrayed in purple and scarlet, and adorned with gold and precious stones and pearls, having in her hand a golden cup full of abominations and the filthiness of her fornication.

Rev 17:5  And on her forehead a name was written: MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND OF THE ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH.

Rev 17:6  I saw the woman, drunk with the blood of the saints and with the blood of the martyrs of Jesus. And when I saw her, I marveled with great amazement.

Babylon is known for its many merchants, meaning those who are buying and selling, which spiritually is the accusing and excusing mindset of the carnal mind.  Here we chase riches of all kinds and clean the outside of the cup while we trade in the unrighteous mammon of knowledge, which is trading in the souls of men.

Rev 18:11  And the merchants of the earth shall weep and mourn over her; for no man buyeth their merchandise any more:

Rev 18:12  The merchandise of gold, and silver, and precious stones, and of pearls, and fine linen, and purple, and silk, and scarlet, and all thyine wood, and all manner vessels of ivory, and all manner vessels of most precious wood, and of brass, and iron, and marble,

Rev 18:13  And cinnamon, and odours, and ointments, and frankincense, and wine, and oil, and fine flour, and wheat, and beasts, and sheep, and horses, and chariots, and slaves, and souls of men.

When Christ is revealed and we see Him as the commandments, we understand and are returned to the simplicity of Christ.  His commandments are our food, the true bread of life.  All go into Babylon as it is written in everyone’s book to spend the appointed time until we hear the call to come out of her.  Only those being made faithful, a small remnant, the little flock, escape in every generation, this being the daughter of Zion.  We escape the captivity to both the world and Spiritual Babylon when we take to heart [EAT] the living commandments.

Mic 4:10  Be in pain, and labour to bring forth, O daughter of Zion, like a woman in travail: for now shalt thou go forth out of the city, and thou shalt dwell in the field [the world], and thou shalt go even to Babylon; there shalt thou be delivered; there the LORD shall redeem thee from the hand of thine enemies.

Christ, the commandments of the Father, are raised from the dead within us the day we leave Babylon.  Being delivered from our bondage to the serpent’s food, we now walk in the Spirit of the living God, the perfect law of liberty.  We become His instruments of service to go preach to the others who have not yet heard.

Mic 4:13  Arise and thresh, O daughter of Zion: for I will make thine horn iron, and I will make thy hoofs brass: and thou shalt beat in pieces many people: and I will consecrate their gain unto the LORD, and their substance unto the Lord of the whole earth.

The Jerusalem of Babylon within us is not the holy city and is instead likened unto Sodom [Rev 11:8] as we, its congregation, eat leavened bread, and sit idle, not working in the kingdom, neither preaching nor obeying the commandments.

Isa 1:9  Except the LORD of hosts had left unto us a very small remnant, we should have been as Sodom, and we should have been like unto Gomorrah.

Isa 1:10  Hear the word of the LORD, ye rulers of Sodom; give ear unto the law of our God, ye people of Gomorrah.

The Lord hates these Babylonian feasts and solemn assemblies that do not bear His name, meaning the commandments are not in them.  The Lord does not accept the sacrifices of fat beasts filled with their own knowledge.

Amo 5:21  I hate, I despise your feast days, and I will not smell in your solemn assemblies.

Amo 5:22  Though ye offer me burnt offerings and your meat offerings, I will not accept them: neither will I regard the peace offerings of your fat beasts

Isa 1:11  To what purpose is the multitude of your sacrifices unto me? saith the LORD: I am full of the burnt offerings of rams, and the fat of fed beasts; and I delight not in the blood of bullocks, or of lambs, or of he goats.

Isa 1:14  Your new moons and your appointed feasts my soul hateth: they are a trouble unto me; I am weary to bear them.

The Lord sends His angels and ministers to preach His Gospel to the vessels prepared to hear to bring deliverance to the captives.  Some hear this Gospel of the commandments and come out of Babylon, maybe even today, if they understand.

Rev 14:6  And I saw another angel fly in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach unto them that dwell on the earth, and to every nation, and kindred, and tongue, and people,

Babylon within us falls soon after we receive this Gospel of the commands.  The lies cannot stand in the presence of the truth.  We no longer drink of the poison wine from the devil’s table.

Rev 14:8  And there followed another angel, saying, Babylon is fallen, is fallen, that great city, because she made all nations drink of the wine of the wrath of her fornication.

The day we leave Babylon and hear and believe the law of Christ, the commandments, is a holy day and brings us great joy.  We are returned to our first love, that is, the living commandments.  Now we are eating the living bread and drinking the wine of life, and sending portions to others by preaching this Gospel.  The joy of the Lord, these indwelling commands, is our strength.  This is the fat, the best portion of the Lord we are eating, which keeps us on the right path, building the temple of God.  Here is the witness for our admonition.

Neh 8:9  And Nehemiah, who was the governor, Ezra the priest and scribe, and the Levites who taught the people said to all the people, “This day is holy to the LORD your God; do not mourn nor weep.” For all the people wept, when they heard the words of the Law.

Neh 8:10  Then he said to them, “Go your way, eat the fat, drink the sweet, and send portions to those for whom nothing is prepare [Those hungry]; for this day is holy to our Lord. Do not sorrow, for the joy of the LORD is your strength.”

Neh 8:11  So the Levites quieted all the people, saying, “Be still, for the day is holy; do not be grieved.”

Neh 8:12  And all the people went their way to eat and drink, to send portions [preach the Gospel] and rejoice greatly, because they understood the words that were declared to them.

The commandments are the hidden treasure of the Lord and the mystery of the Gospel.  When we find this treasure, we sell all the Babylonian spiritual possessions we once valued, and like Paul, we consider it all dung [See Phil 3:4-11].  It is with great joy that we buy the field where the treasure of the commandments is hidden, as the parable shows.

Mat 13:44  Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto treasure hid in a field; the which when a man hath found, he hideth, and for joy thereof goeth and selleth all that he hath, and buyeth that field.

All men are naturally born spiritual merchants, buying and selling being under the law and its accusing and excusing mindset.  But when we are given to find the pearl of great price, that is the Lord’s commandments, we sell all we have to buy it. Let them with ears to hear and eyes to see receive the Gospel of Truth.  The rich young ruler lacked the ability, the faith of the commandments [Christ], to make this deal with the Lord

Mat 13:45  Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto a merchant man, seeking goodly pearls:

Mat 13:46  Who, when he had found one pearl of great price, went and sold all that he had, and bought it.

The merchandising stops.  We are now eating at the Tree of Life and holding to the wisdom of the Proverbs.

Pro 23:23  Buy the truth, and sell it not; also wisdom, and instruction, and understanding.

Most miss this everlasting Gospel preached by the Lord’s angels, as they cannot discern the time and do not recognize Him working through His ministers, supposing they are just gardeners. Most remain sleeping, well fed and comforted at the contemptible table of devils and stay in Babylon.  We pray these words from the Lord open some eyes to see the mystery.

Rom 11:7  What then? Israel hath not obtained that which he seeketh for; but the election hath obtained it, and the rest were blinded

Rom 11:8  (According as it is written, God hath given them the spirit of slumber, eyes that they should not see, and ears that they should not hear;) unto this day.

Rom 11:9  And David saith, Let their table be made a snare, and a trap, and a stumblingblock, and a recompence unto them:

Rom 11:10  Let their eyes be darkened, that they may not see, and bow down their back always

Receiving this Gospel of the commandments hidden for the ages, we now rejoice and are being made ready and granted our spiritual clothing in the Lord.

Rev 19:7  Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honour to him: for the marriage of the Lamb is come, and his wife hath made herself ready.

Rev 19:8  And to her was granted that she should be arrayed in fine linen, clean and white: for the fine linen is the righteousness of saints.

The Wedding Feast of the King

We must be sincere in our faith in the Gospel and embrace the holy commandments with our whole heart, mind, and soul.  Some try to enter into the Lord’s feast without the necessary preparation, which is believing the Gospel of commandments.   Some come without this faith, wearing defiled garments.  We see this in Matthew’s parable of the wedding feast.

Mat 22:11  And when the king came in to see the guests, he saw there a man which had not on a wedding garment:

We only come to the feast and into the kingdom of God through Christ, meaning only by way of the Holy Commandments.  These commandments, Christ is the door and the only way to enter.  Anyone coming any other way is a thief and a robber and was not made ready.

Joh 10:1  “Most certainly, I tell you, one who doesn’t enter by the door into the sheep fold, but climbs up some other way, the same is a thief and a robber.

Joh 10:2  But one who enters in by the door is the shepherd of the sheep.

All who come before Christ to show us the way without the commandments are thieves and robbers.  The commandments of Christ are the only door by which we enter into the true feast and partake of the tree of life.   The true sheep do not hear these false teachers and prophets and, in time, are brought in by the door.

Joh 10:7  Then said Jesus unto them again, Verily, verily, I say unto you, I am the door of the sheep.

Joh 10:8  All that ever came before me are thieves and robbers: but the sheep did not hear them.

Joh 10:9  I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture.

The righteousness of the saints is our faith of Jesus Christ, the living commandments.  Our hope of salvation rests on them and nothing else.  This is the wedding garment required to eat at the true feast of the Lord.  Without actionable faith in the commandments [pursuing holiness], no man shall see the Lord.

Mat 22:12  And the King siith unto him, Friend, how camest thou in hither not having a wedding garment? And he was speechless [muzzled].

Mat 22:13  Then said the king to the servants, Bind him hand and foot, and take him away, and cast him into outer darkness; there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

Mat 22:14  For many are called, but few are chosen

The Lord separates His little remnant, the pure virgins having oil in their lamps.  They are the true bride of Christ, having made themselves ready by enduring the persecution and suffering for their faith in the commandments.  We cannot enter in being ashamed of the Gospel, no, we must be bold and preach it to all the nations and kingdoms within and without. Nobody without a wedding garment is allowed to remain at the feast. The Lord, the living commandments,  takes them away and muzzles their mouths.  Those not ready are cast out from the true ones and separated from the remnant being saved.    May the Lord make this clear to all who hear.

As the Lord’s servants, we bid many to this feast by preaching the Gospel, but very few come.  We are commanded to call not our friends, brethren, kinsmen, or “rich” neighbors, but rather go to the poor without all the knowledge, the maimed, the lame, and the blind.  Those who need a physician are the lost sheep now being found.

Luk 14:12  Then said he also to him that bade him, When thou makest a dinner or a supper, call not thy friends, nor thy brethren, neither thy kinsmen, nor thy rich neighbours; lest they also bid thee again, and a recompence be made thee.

Luk 14:13  But when thou makest a feast, call the poor, the maimed, the lame, the blind:

Luk 14:14  And thou shalt be blessed; for they cannot recompense thee: for thou shalt be recompensed at the resurrection of the just.

The Lord’s ministers are sent to those who cannot invite us back to a feast.  We are not leaving the table of the Lord where we eat His commandments.  We give and expect nothing in return; our reward is Christ.  It is better to give food than to receive it.  Blessed are those who come to our feast, they shall eat the true bread of life.

Luk 14:15  And when one of them that sat at meat with him heard these things, he said unto him, Blessed is he that shall eat bread in the kingdom of God.

Many are bidden [called] but very few come because the Lord’s feast is not alluring to flesh versus the devil’s table.  The Babylonian merchandising and trading at the tree of knowledge is far more attractive, and there is no persecution to bear.

Luk 14:16  Then said he unto him, A certain man made a great supper, and bade many: [Many Called]

Luk 14:17  And sent his servant at supper time to say to them that were bidden, Come; for all things are now ready.

Very few of the “spiritual Jews” of the circumcision [THE RICH], those steeped in all the knowledge of the Scriptures and especially the law and the prophets, come to the feast.  They are not hungry and are already filled and need nothing, trusting in their knowledge of the Scriptures to save them.  These are those Paul wrote about to Timothy [2Tim 3] being high-minded, covetous, and proud, having a form of godliness but denying the power of the commandments.  They are ever learning the Scriptures but never able to come to the knowledge of the truth, which is the Gospel and is the wedding feast.  From such we turn away and now go to the Gentiles.

These parables of the Wedding Feast give the excuses as to why those called do not come.  They don’t come to the feast of the Lord because they are preoccupied with their fields [the world] or engaged in merchandizing, the buying and selling of knowledge.  They remain bound to the wrong law, being a law unto themselves, and esteem lightly the commandments of the Lord.

Mat 22:5  But they made light of it, [THE COMMANDS, THE FEAST] and went their ways, one to his field, another to his merchandise:

Luke’s version confirms all the excuses pertain to being engaged in merchandizing and being married to the world.

Luk 14:18  And they all with one consent began to make excuse. The first said unto him, I have bought a piece of ground, and I must needs go and see it: I pray thee have me excused.

Luk 14:19  And another said, I have bought five yoke of oxen, and I go to prove them: I pray thee have me excused.

Those who refuse the invitation of the angels [Rev 14], reject the Gospel and remain in Spiritual Babylon.   They were not given to hear the commandment to come out of her my people, because as yet they are not His people.  The Lord’s house is filled so like the Apostles, we now turn to the Gentiles and go find the lost sheep scattered to many nations.

Luk 14:21  So that servant came, and shewed his lord these things. Then the master of the house being angry said to his servant, Go out quickly into the streets and lanes of the city, and bring in hither the poor, and the maimed, and the halt, and the blind.

Luk 14:22  And the servant said, Lord, it is done as thou hast commanded, and yet there is room.

The door into the wedding feast is closed to those who refuse the Gospel. Remaining on the outside, partaking at the table of knowledge of the tree of good and evil and they shall not taste of the true living bread that is the flesh and blood of Jesus Christ.

Luk 14:24  For I say unto you, That none of those men which were bidden shall taste of my supper.

Those who reject the living commandments after hearing it preached turn on the Lord’s messengers, hating us, thereby holding murder in their hearts.  This is a betrayal of Christ, and the Lord sends His wrath and destroys those who blaspheme against and hate Him [the commandments].

Mat 22:6  And the remnant [that would not come] took his servants, and entreated them spitefully, and slew them.

Mat 22:7  But when the king heard thereof, he was wroth: and he sent forth his armies, and destroyed those murderers, and burned up their city.

Mat 22:8  Then saith he to his servants, The wedding is ready, but they which were bidden were not worthy. `

Those who reject Christ are rejecting the commandments and are unworthy of eternal life in this age.  We see this in the Acts of the Apostles, as most of the “circumcision”, meaning the Jews having all the knowledge of the Scriptures, reject the Gospel and strive against our preaching.

We are given a ministry to go and preach the Gospel.  We now rejoice in our newfound joy of the lively hope of Christ and the resurrection of His Holy Commandments from the dead.

Isa 61:10  I will greatly rejoice in the LORD, my soul shall be joyful in my God; for he hath clothed me with the garments of salvation, he hath covered me with the robe of righteousness, as a bridegroom decketh himself with ornaments, and as a bride adorneth herself with her jewels.

Grace and peace to the scattered brethren in all the places of this earth.

The Commandments of Christ Jesus

The Commands of Christ Jesus

The power of an endless Life

Ronel and my beloved husband, Pete, unto the church of the Christ, which is in God, the Father, and in the Lord Jesus Christ: Grace be unto you, and peace, from God our Father, and the Lord Jesus Christ.

Speaking to the Church scattered abroad to edify, exhort, and comfort you and us together:

1Co 14:3  But he that prophesieth speaketh unto men to edification, and exhortation, and comfort.

Obey the Commandments of Christ and Love one another.

The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom and that is to know and obey the Commandments of Christ. It is the secret/mystery of the Gospel:

Eph 6:19  And for me, that utterance may be given unto me, that I may open my mouth boldly, to make known the mystery of the gospel,

Eph 6:20  For which I am an ambassador in bonds: that therein I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak.

Col 1:26 Even the mystery which hath been hid from ages and from generations, but now is made manifest to his saints:

Psa 25:14 The secret of the LORD is with them that fear him; and he will shew them his covenant.

Pro 9:10  The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom: and the knowledge of the holy is understanding.

What are the Commandments of Christ? Here are a few examples:

Mat 5:21  Ye have heard that it was said by them of old time, Thou shalt not kill; and whosoever shall kill shall be in danger of the judgment:

Mat 5:22  But I say unto you, That whosoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment: and whosoever shall say to his brother, Raca, shall be in danger of the council: but whosoever shall say, Thou fool, shall be in danger of hell fire.

Mat 5:27  Ye have heard that it was said by them of old time, Thou shalt not commit adultery:

Mat 5:28  But I say unto you, That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart.

Mat 5:38  Ye have heard that it hath been said, An eye for an eye, and a tooth for a tooth:

Mat 5:39  But I say unto you, That ye resist not evil: but whosoever shall smite thee on thy right cheek, turn to him the other also.

Mat 5:40  And if any man will sue thee at the law, and take away thy coat, let him have thy cloke also.

Mat 5:41  And whosoever shall compel thee to go a mile, go with him twain.

Mat 5:42  Give to him that asketh thee, and from him that would borrow of thee turn not thou away.

Mat 5:43  Ye have heard that it hath been said, Thou shalt love thy neighbour, and hate thine enemy.

Mat 5:44  But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;

Mat 5:45  That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust.

Mat 5:46  For if ye love them which love you, what reward have ye? do not even the publicans the same?

Mat 5:47  And if ye salute your brethren only, what do ye more than others? do not even the publicans so?

Mat 5:48  Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect.

Who gave Christ the Commandments?

Joh 14:24 He that loveth me not keepeth not my sayings: and the word which ye hear is not mine, but the Father’s which sent me.

Joh 12:49  For I have not spoken of Myself, but the Father who sent Me gave Me a command, what I should say, and what I should speak.

If you see Christ, you see the Father:

Joh 14:6  Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

Joh 14:7  If ye had known me, ye should have known my Father also: and from henceforth ye know him, and have seen him.

Joh 14:8  Philip saith unto him, Lord, shew us the Father, and it sufficeth us.

Joh 14:9  Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? he that hath seen me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou then, Shew us the Father?

Christ obeys and keeps the Father’s Commandments. He loves the Father:

Joh 14:31  But that the world may know that I love the Father; and as the Father gave me commandment, even so I do. Arise, let us go hence.

Joh 15:9  As the Father hath loved me, so have I loved you: continue ye in my love.

Joh 15:10  If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father’s commandments, and abide in his love.

God, the Father, is greater than Christ Jesus:

Joh 14:28  Ye have heard how I said unto you, I go away, and come again unto you. If ye loved me, ye would rejoice, because I said, I go unto the Father: for my Father is greater than I.

No man comes to the Father except through Christ:

Joh 14:6  Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

Keeping/obeying Christ’s Commandments is loving Him:

Joh 14:15  If ye love me, keep my commandments.

Joh 14:16  And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever;

Joh 14:17  Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.

Keeping Christ’s Commandments is love, and it is being loved by God, the Father:

Joh 14:21  He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.

Keeping Christ’s Commandments is loving the children of God:

1Jn 5:2  By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God, and keep his commandments.

1Jn 5:3  For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous.

The true meaning of love is keeping Christ’s Commandments:

2Jn 1:4  I rejoiced greatly that I found of thy children walking in truth, as we have received a commandment from the Father.

2Jn 1:5  And now I beseech thee, lady, not as though I wrote a new commandment unto thee, but that which we had from the beginning, that we love one another.

2Jn 1:6  And this is love, that we walk after his commandments. This is the commandment, That, as ye have heard from the beginning, ye should walk in it.

Not doing as Christ says is not loving Him:

Joh 14:22  Judas saith unto him, not Iscariot, Lord, how is it that thou wilt manifest thyself unto us, and not unto the world?

Joh 14:23  Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him.

Joh 14:24  He that loveth me not keepeth not my sayings: and the word which ye hear is not mine, but the Father’s which sent me.

Keeping the Lord’s Commandments is eating His flesh and drinking His blood:

Joh 6:51  I am the living bread which came down from heaven: if any man eat of this bread, he shall live for ever: and the bread that I will give is my flesh, which I will give for the life of the world.

Joh 6:52  The Jews therefore strove among themselves, saying, How can this man give us his flesh to eat?

Joh 6:53  Then Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except ye eat the flesh of the Son of man, and drink his blood, ye have no life in you.

Joh 6:54  Whoso eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, hath eternal life; and I will raise him up at the last day.

Joh 6:55  For my flesh is meat indeed, and my blood is drink indeed.

Joh 6:56  He that eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, dwelleth in me, and I in him.

Joh 6:57  As the living Father hath sent me, and I live by the Father: so he that eateth me, even he shall live by me.

Joh 6:58  This is that bread which came down from heaven: not as your fathers did eat manna, and are dead: he that eateth of this bread shall live for ever.

Christ’s Commandments are making us perfect for our Bridegroom and acceptable to the Father, the Father of all spirits. Through knowing and obeying the Commandments of Christ, we are being made perfect for THEM to make their abode in us. Paul writes here about the power of Christ’s resurrection, and it means to bring Christ into remembrance, to bring His Commandments into remembrance, to hear and obey them.  Obeying them is the power of life; it is saving us. All things lost to Paul and all of us, His true followers, is the pursuit after the Law of Moses [believing this is what saves us], the knowledge of the prophesies and endless genealogies, etc, having a form of godliness, never coming to the Truth of the Gospel that is saving us, making us perfect.

Php 3:7  But what things were gain to me, those I counted loss for Christ.

Php 3:8  Yea doubtless, and I count all things but loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord: for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and do count them but dung, that I may win Christ,

Php 3:9  And be found in him, not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith:

Php 3:10  That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death;

Php 3:11  If by any means I might attain unto the resurrection of the dead.

Php 3:12  Not as though I had already attained, either were already perfect: but I follow after, if that I may apprehend that for which also I am apprehended of Christ Jesus.

Php 3:13  Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before,

Php 3:14  I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.

Christ was perfected on the third day, when He died on the tree:

Luk 13:31  The same day there came certain of the Pharisees, saying unto him, Get thee out, and depart hence: for Herod will kill thee.

Luk 13:32  And he said unto them, Go ye, and tell that fox, Behold, I cast out devils, and I do cures to day and to morrow, and the third day I shall be perfected.

Heb 5:9 And being made perfect, he became the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey him;

One who did all the Commandments of Moses wanted eternal life [John 17:3], and he kept all the Commandments under Moses, but he was not perfect in Christ’s own Words. Selling all we have is getting rid of the idea that Moses [The Ten  Commandments], knowledge, or good deeds are saving us to enter into the Kingdom of God. The above has its place, but in the end, a renewing mindset is what counts [Rom 12:2]. A renewing mindset that cleanses us from the inside out. That only comes about through hearing and obeying the Gospel of Christ. Here are the Scriptures:

Mat 19:16  And, behold, one came and said unto him, Good Master, what good thing shall I do, that I may have eternal life?

Mat 19:17  And he said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God: but if thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments.

Mat 19:18  He saith unto him, Which? Jesus said, Thou shalt do no murder, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness,

Mat 19:19  Honour thy father and thy mother: and, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.

Mat 19:20  The young man saith unto him, All these things have I kept from my youth up: what lack I yet?

Mat 19:21  Jesus said unto him, If thou wilt be perfect, go and sell that thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come and follow me.

The young man was sorrowful because he possessed great knowledge and was rich in that way. His mindset was not renewed to accept the salvation of Christ, which was to follow Christ, hear, and obey His Commandments. He depended on his riches in the spirit [type and shadow], in his own knowledge to save him. He worked His own righteousness, which is not the righteousness of Christ, which is not the righteousness of Christ’s Commandments.

Mat 19:22  But when the young man heard that saying, he went away sorrowful: for he had great possessions.

Mat 19:23  Then said Jesus unto his disciples, Verily I say unto you, That a rich man shall hardly enter into the kingdom of heaven

Tit 3:5 Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost;

The Law and Prophets are good. Christ did not do away with the old Law and the Prophets, but fulfilled it, made it perfect, and He is making it perfect today in us, living in us.

Mat 5:17  Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.

Mat 5:18  For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.

Paul, James, and the writer of Hebrews exhort us to keep the Commandments, which make us perfect, waiting for the Lord to come and live in us. This is the rest of Hebrews 4 [Please read the chapter]. Keeping Christ’s Law is keeping the Law of Liberty, the Law of freedom:

1Ti 6:12  Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses.

1Ti 6:13  I give thee charge in the sight of God, who quickeneth all things, and before Christ Jesus, who before Pontius Pilate witnessed a good confession;

1Ti 6:14  That thou keep this commandment without spot, unrebukeable, until the appearing of our Lord Jesus Christ:

 ————————————————————————————-

Heb 4:1  Let us therefore fear, lest, a promise being left us of entering into his rest, any of you should seem to come short of it.

 ————————————————————————————–

Jas 1:25  But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed.

 ————————————————————————————-

Co 13:9 For we are glad, when we are weak, and ye are strong: and this also we wish, even your perfection.

Christ commands us to love each other as He loved us. He loved us by laying down His life. We love others when we lay down our lives. We lay down our lives by denying self. The natural man in us cannot live when we do the Commandments. It has to die. In this dying daily, we change little by little to become like Christ. Here is the new Commandment, which makes us perfect and not lacking:

Joh 13:34  A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another.

Joh 13:35  By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.

Keeping Christ’s  Commandments is perfect love, the bond of perfection [Col 3:14]:

Joh 15:11  These things have I spoken unto you, that my joy might remain in you, and that your joy might be full.

Joh 15:12  This is my commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you.

Joh 15:13  Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.

Joh 15:14  Ye are my friends, if ye do whatsoever I command you.

Joh 15:15  Henceforth I call you not servants; for the servant knoweth not what his lord doeth: but I have called you friends; for all things that I have heard of my Father I have made known unto you.

Joh 15:16  Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you.

Joh 15:17  These things I command you, that ye love one another

This Commandment to keep my Commandments and to love one another is given to all who have the Name of Christ in their foreheads. His Name is symbolic of the Gospel, which is to know and obey His Commandments:

Joh 1:12  But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:

Joh 1:13  Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.

Here is a type and shadow [not the real thing but pointing to the real thing], of us, being the Temple of God when we obey the Lord and start entering into His rest according to Hebrews 4.

1Ki 8:56  Blessed be the LORD, that hath given rest unto his people Israel, according to all that he promised: there hath not failed one word of all his good promise, which he promised by the hand of Moses his servant.

1Ki 8:57  The LORD our God be with us, as he was with our fathers: let him not leave us, nor forsake us:

1Ki 8:58  That he may incline our hearts unto him, to walk in all his ways, and to keep his commandments, and his statutes, and his judgments, which he commanded our fathers.

1Ki 8:59  And let these my words, wherewith I have made supplication before the LORD, be nigh unto the LORD our God day and night, that he maintain the cause of his servant, and the cause of his people Israel at all times, as the matter shall require:

1Ki 8:60  That all the people of the earth may know that the LORD is God, and that there is none else.

1Ki 8:61  Let your heart therefore be perfect with the LORD our God, to walk in his statutes, and to keep his commandments, as at this day.

We are preparing ourselves to receive Christ and the Father to come and live in us, all by God’s design:

Rev 19:5  And a voice came out of the throne, saying, Praise our God, all ye his servants, and ye that fear him, both small and great.

Rev 19:7  Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honour to him: for the marriage of the Lamb is come, and his wife hath made herself ready

Rev 19:8  And to her was granted that she should be arrayed in fine linen, clean and white: for the fine linen is the righteousness of saints.

Rev 19:9  And he saith unto me, Write, Blessed are they which are called unto the marriage supper of the Lamb. And he saith unto me, These are the true sayings of God.

Rev 19:10  And I fell at his feet to worship him. And he said unto me, See thou do it not: I am thy fellowservant, and of thy brethren that have the testimony of Jesus: worship God: for the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.

Receive ye the Gospel.

Commandments, Studies

Blasphemy Against the Holy Spirit

Speaking Evil of Christ, the Living Commandments

“The sin unto death” and being cut off from the Lord

The sin we review in this study is often referred to as the unpardonable sin.  However, there is no such thing as the “unpardonable sin”; that term is an invention of carnal minds and not a pattern of sound words.  A most basic truth and promise of the Lord is that all sins are forgiven, and all mankind sees the salvation of the Lord.

Luk 3:6  And all flesh shall see the salvation of God.

1Jn 2:2  And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world.

The command not to blaspheme

We are commanded not to blaspheme and bridle our tongue from such utterances, knowing the Lord is working all things.  The Greek word for blaspheming is often translated as “evil speaking” and even “railing accusations” in the Scriptures.  We are not to blaspheme whatsoever and have the additional specific warnings about blaspheming the Holy Spirit, which is the focus of this study.

Mat 15:19  For out of the heart proceed evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, blasphemies:

Mat 15:20  These are the things which defile a man: but to eat with unwashen hands defileth not a man.

Eph 4:31  Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking [blasphemy], be put away from you, with all malice:

While all sins are forgiven in due time, the Scriptures clearly distinguish between “blasphemy of the Holy Spirit” and other sins.  When the Holy Spirit is blasphemed, the timing of one’s forgiveness is delayed, and they are disqualified from being saved in this age. We have multiple witnesses in Scripture that confirm the truth, warn of this sin, and spell out the consequences.

Mat 12:31  “Therefore I say to you, every sin and blasphemy will be forgiven men, but the blasphemy against the Spirit will not be forgiven men.

Mat 12:32  Anyone who speaks a word against the Son of Man, it will be forgiven him; but whoever speaks against the Holy Spirit, it will not be forgiven him, in this age or in the one to come

Christ forgives sins, and so do we as Christ in the world, except for the sin of blasphemy against the Commandments.  We obey God and petition the Father to forgive our sins as we die on the cross, knowing that they know not what they are doing.  Those who make the error were caused to make the error, as it is part of all things being worked by the Lord.  It was given to them to blaspheme; it was not of their own will.  The Father, who is greater than Christ, hears us, and their sins are forgiven in the age to come when all mankind is saved from their sin.

Luk 23:34  Then said Jesus, Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do. And they parted his raiment, and cast lots.

Blaspheming the Holy Spirit is a serious sin, as it has no forgiveness until the last harvest of men in the lake of fire.  One who commits the sin is cut off from the true Israel of God in this age.

Mar 3:28  Verily I say unto you, All sins shall be forgiven unto the sons of men, and blasphemies wherewith soever they shall blaspheme:

Mar 3:29  But he that shall blaspheme against the Holy Ghost hath no forgiveness, but is in danger of eternal [age abiding – not eternal] damnation:

Mar 3:30  Because they said, He hath an unclean spirit. [for Christ casting out demons {lies} by the Commandments]

Here in Mark, we again see the erroneous bias of carnal KJV translators turning this verse into an eternal damnation [hell] supporting verse.  Yet we know better, as all sins are forgiven in the end, and every man is going to be saved from those sins in the appointed time.  The wages of all sin is death, but the gift of Christ is eternal life, our rising from the dead.

1Co 15:22  For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive.

The Scribes of the city spoke of Jesus Christ as Beelzebub, a demon, and thereby spoke evil of His work.  Saying the Commandment is not true is saying the Commandment is from Satan, the evil one, and that is what it means to say Christ and His Christ cast out demons by the power of Beelzebub. It is a parable.   Forgiveness of those who sin against us [not the Spirit] is a very important Commandment, but the greatest Commandment is to love, meaning to obey the Lord, with all our heart, mind, and soul.  This means obeying ALL the Commandments, including the Commandment to cut off those who commit the sin unto death.  If one does not do this, they are disobeying the Lord and do not love Him with their whole heart.  Christ has never changed and is the same yesterday, today, and forevermore.

Exo 32:33  And the LORD said unto Moses, Whosoever hath sinned against me, him will I blot out of my book.

A further study on Christ bringing division through our obedience to this Commandment can be found here:  Lessons on Division and Separation

We must remember that Christ is the Living Word, and His Word is Spirit.  Blaspheming the Holy Spirit is speaking against those Words or, more specifically, the living Commandments which is the Gospel.   Christ spoke of this egregious sin after hearing the blasphemy from the Scribes and Pharisees.  Sins done in ignorance are readily forgiven, yet it becomes far more consequential when the commandments come by the preaching of the Gospel, the hidden mystery that is then revealed unto us.

Act 17:30  NKJV Truly, these times of ignorance God overlooked, but now commands all men everywhere to repent,

Act 17:31  because He has appointed a day on which He will judge the world in righteousness by the Man whom He has ordained. He has given assurance of this to all by raising Him from the dead.” [The resurrection of the living word within us]

The flesh Jews, today representing Christians who have yet to receive mercy and be given ears to hear and eyes to see the hidden Gospel of the Living Christ.   They speak evil of things they know not about, and thus it is done in ignorance.   We all blaspheme the Lord’s commandments during our time in orthodoxy, knowing the flesh Jesus, and even later in spiritual Babylon, before we “hear” the Lord call us out and receive the Spirit.

Rev 13:6  And he [the beast from the earth] opened his mouth in blasphemy against God, to blaspheme his name, and his tabernacle, and them that dwell in heaven.

All such blasphemy before we hear [taste] of the true heavenly gift [the Gospel] is forgiven because it is before it is preached unto us. Paul’s example shows us that all who have spoken evil against the commandments [the Lord’s name], before they encounter the Gospel, can yet be saved in this age and used mightily.

1Ti 1:12  And I thank Christ Jesus our Lord, who hath enabled me, for that he counted me faithful, putting me into the ministry;

1Ti 1:13  Who was before a blasphemer, and a persecutor, and injurious: but I obtained mercy, because I did it ignorantly in unbelief.

Paul’s hearing of the Gospel was his baptism by John, as recounted in Acts 9, when the Lord sent Ananias to remove the scales from Paul’s eyes.  For the first time, he heard the Gospel and tasted of the heavenly gift.  From this point forward, there is no ignorance to claim.

Once having heard the Gospel, if one then blasphemes the Spirit, even while waiting on the Promise, they speak against the very power of salvation and are in danger of a harsher judgment.  Those given the Spirit of God, these living and active commandments in their heart are given much, and if one falls from the truth, they are given a more severe chastening in the appointed time.

Luk 12:47  And that servant, which knew his lord’s will, and prepared not himself, neither did according to his will, shall be beaten with many stripes.

Blasphemy of the Holy Spirit is speaking against the Commandments after we hear the truth and have tasted of the heavenly gift.  Denying the Commandment as Truth is denying the Living Christ.  We can speak evil of people, but we cannot speak evil of the Spirit that is the Living Commandments.  These are God’s ways, not our ways, but we learn to respect and fear them.

Heb 6:4  For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost,

Heb 6:5  And have tasted the good word of God,and the powers of the world to come,

Heb 6:6  If they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put him to an open shame.

Knowing the truth and then speaking deceitfully is lying to the Holy Spirit and is blasphemy.  Such workers are to be cut off from the city of God and remain outside.

Psa 101:7  He that worketh deceit shall not dwell within my house: he that telleth lies shall not tarry in my sight.

Psa 101:8  I will early destroy all the wicked of the land; that I may cut off all wicked doers from the city of the LORD.

Such spirits are not allowed to come eat with the Lord and His Christ in the Holy City.

Rev 22:15  For without are dogs, and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and murderers, and idolaters, and whosoever loveth and maketh a lie.

Falling away from the faith is leaving Christ by forsaking His commandments, as some we walked with were caused to do.  Many who walk with Christ, the Living Word, do not continue walking.  At some point, all ordained of God, some cease from eating of His Body and drinking of His cup and speak against the holy commandments.

Joh 6:51  I am the living bread which came down from heaven: if any man eat of this bread, he shall live for ever: and the bread that I will give is my flesh, which I will give for the life of the world.

Joh 6:53  Then Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except ye eat the flesh of the Son of man, and drink his blood, ye have no life in you.

Few are given to endure and continue to eat the flesh of Christ and drink of His cup.  Blaspheming the commandments [the Spirit]  returns one to their carnal vomit [that defiles a man] even after they were once washed by the truth.  Some go back to the mud that is a mixture of their carnal mind [dust] and the Spirit that is the water.  They are not born again and fall away.

2Pe 2:21  For it had been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than, after they have known it, to turn from the holy commandment delivered unto them.

2Pe 2:22  But it is happened unto them according to the true proverb, The dog is turned to his own vomit again; and the sow that was washed to her wallowing in the mire.

The sin is also appropriately called “the sin unto death” by John.   Once we are given the truth, the Word, the Living Commandments, and then speak evil against those commands and the work of the Spirit, that is blasphemy of the Holy Spirit and a betrayal of Christ.  This sin is “unpardonable” in this life and disqualifies one from being the elect of God in this age.    All other sins are forgiven, but if one speaks against the holy commandments they have heard, they have blasphemed the Holy Spirit and are cut off from the living Word who is Christ and His Christ.

1Jn 5:16  If any man see his brother sin a sin which is not unto death, he shall ask, and he shall give him life for them that sin not unto death. There is a sin unto death: I do not say that he shall pray for it.

1Jn 5:17  All unrighteousness is sin: and there is a sin not unto death.

Blaspheming the Lord has always been identified separately from other sins, even in the law of Moses.  The consequence of sinning against the “name of the Lord”, meaning against the Commandments, speaking evil of them, is, was, and will be the sin unto death.  The sin unto death was shown us in Leviticus.

Lev 24:16  And he that blasphemeth the name of the LORD, he shall surely be put to death, and all the congregation shall certainly stone him: as well the stranger, as he that is born in the land, when he blasphemeth the name of the LORD, shall be put to death.

This sin leads to spiritual death, and there is no coming back in this age as the Spirit of grace has been insulted.  We are to pray for brothers who struggle with sin, but are commanded not to pray for those who commit the grievous sin unto death.   All blasphemy and doctrinal disputes with brethren are not the sin leading to death.  Brethren can be separated over doctrinal disputes, and the Holy commandments should not be blasphemed.  These brethren would be restored and forgiven if they repent. We need to be very circumspect and judge even the smallest matters righteously. We are in the last times of our walk, and our faith is going to be tested severely.  Many antichrists bringing false gospels and doctrines of demons are sent to try us in the Lord’s fire.

1Ti 4:1  Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils;

1Ti 4:2  Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron;

Anyone who commits the “sin unto death” was caused to do so by the potter who is working all things for the counsel of His will.  Those called, chosen, and now being made faithful in this age were declared and chosen before the world was even formed.  Free will has nothing to do with it.  This just shows us that some who walk with Christ for a while, do not continue to the end to be saved.  We mourn the loss of many brethren, but we expect it as it is declared in the Scriptures.

Joh 6:65  And he said, Therefore said I unto you, that no man can come unto me, except it were given unto him of my Father.

Joh 6:66  From that time many of his disciples went back, and walked no more with him.

A denial of Christ by our continued sin and unbelief, which we all do first, is different than a betrayal of Christ once we have the true knowledge of the Spirit that is the Gospel.  Judas, who betrayed the Lord, is a type for those who have tasted of the heavenly gift, represented by knowledge and holding of the money bag, and who then fall away and betray Christ.  One has to eat of the heavenly gift at the Lord’s table to be guilty of this betrayal.

Mat 26:23  And he answered and said, He that dippeth his hand with me in the dish, the same shall betray me.
Mat 26:24  The Son of man goeth as it is written of him: but woe unto that man by whom the Son of man is betrayed! it had been good for that man if he had not been born.

Ananias and Sapphira are also prime examples of those who tasted of the heavenly gift and then lied to the Holy Spirit, which is speaking evil against the Spirit.  They died quickly in the physical, committing the sin unto death to remind us of this important spiritual truth, keeping the fear of God before us.

Act 5:3  But Peter said, Ananias, why hath Satan filled thine heart to lie to the Holy Ghost, and to keep back part of the price of the land?

Act 5:4  Whiles it remained, was it not thine own? and after it was sold, was it not in thine own power? why hast thou conceived this thing in thine heart? thou hast not lied unto men, but unto God.

Act 5:5  And Ananias hearing these words fell down, and gave up the ghost: and great fear came on all them that heard these things.

In the Old Testament type, Esau’s story also represents those who, in this age, forgo their inheritance for a bowl of porridge, which symbolizes sustenance [the accusing and excusing reasoning] for all flesh.   Esau later sought repentance with tears, but it was not given in this age.  So it is to this very day.  This is why we are taught to be diligent in pursuing holiness and not failing the grace of God

Heb 12:14  Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord:

Heb 12:15  Looking diligently lest any man fail of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up trouble you, and thereby many be defiled;

Heb 12:16  Lest there be any fornicator, or profane person, as Esau, who for one morsel of meat sold his birthright.

Heb 12:17  For ye know how that afterward, when he would have inherited the blessing, he was rejected: for he found no place of repentance, though he sought it carefully with tears.

We are to do what Jesus did

As the Christ of Christ, the saviour’s on Mt. Zion, we follow the Lord.  We quote this verse often as it always reinforces that we are doing what Christ did and is doing now in our hearts through the Spirit of the Living Word.

Joh 20:21  Then said Jesus to them again, Peace be unto you: as my Father hath sent me, even so send I you.

The Lord and the Son of man [Christ in YOU] has power given to us by God to forgive and to retain sins here on the earth.  Believe the Lord.

Joh 20:22  And when he had said this, he breathed on them, and saith unto them, Receive ye the Holy Ghost:

Joh 20:23  Whose soever sins ye remit, they are remitted unto them; and whose soever sins ye retain, they are retained.

As “the Christ”, sons of the Living God, we have the power in our hearts to forgive sins or to retain them.  Scribes and Pharisees among us think this is blasphemy, but we believe in the Living God and His Word, not the reasonings of men.

Luk 5:20  And when he saw their faith, he said unto him, Man, thy sins are forgiven thee.

Luk 5:21  And the scribes and the Pharisees began to reason, saying, Who is this which speaketh blasphemies? Who can forgive sins, but God alone?

Retained sins are sins that are not now forgiven.  Instead of forgiving those who blaspheme the Spirit, we are commanded to separate from them. We, the angels and messengers of the Lord, deny those who deny the living commandments, which is the Holy Spirit of God.

Luk 12:8  “Also I say to you, whoever confesses Me before men, him the Son of Man also will confess before the angels of God.

Luk 12:9  But he who denies Me before men will be denied before the angels of God.

Luk 12:10  “And anyone who speaks a word against the Son of Man, it will be forgiven him; but to him who blasphemes against the Holy Spirit, it will not be forgiven.

Jesus Christ did not forgive those who had heard both Him and John preaching the Gospel of repentance of sins and put Him to death. Christ retained their sin as do we also do in obeying the greatest Commandment that has us obeying all the Father’s Commandments.  As these evil men crucified Christ on the cross, Christ asks the Father to forgive them. It is because Christ and His Christ ask the Father that the sin is forgiven, but only in the age to come, so the Scriptures are always fulfilled.   Christ had the power and forgave many sins, but not this one; He obeyed His Father in heaven.  We do the same as we are being crucified in the hearts of those who rejected Christ.

Luk 23:34  Then said Jesus, Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do. And they parted his raiment, and cast lots.

We are to withdraw from ALL who hear the commandments, that is, the Living Gospel, and later speak evil or blaspheme the truth.  The more we preach the Gospel and focus on the resurrection [the commandments living within], the more perverse men, devoid of the truth, seek to engage in carnal disputes.  We are to cut such deceivers out of our lives.

1Ti 6:3  If any man teach otherwise, and consent not to wholesome words, even the words of our Lord Jesus Christ, and to the doctrine which is according to godliness;

1Ti 6:4  He is proud, knowing nothing, but doting about questions and strifes of words, whereof cometh envy, strife, railings [blasphemy – G988 blasphēmia], evil surmisings,

1Ti 6:5  Perverse disputings of men of corrupt minds, and destitute of the truth, supposing that gain is godliness: from such withdraw thyself.

There are many false Christs who bring another gospel and false teachings.  They claim to be Jews, but they are actually of their father, the devil.  We are to have nothing to do with them.

Rev 2:9  I know thy works, and tribulation, and poverty, (but thou art rich) and I know the blasphemy of them which say they are Jews, and are not, but are the synagogue of Satan.

Paul tells us to let those who bring false Gospels be accursed, meaning to separate from them and thereby deliver them up to Satan.

1Ti 1:19  Holding faith, and a good conscience; which some having put away concerning faith have made shipwreck:

1Ti 1:20  Of whom is Hymenaeus and Alexander; whom I have delivered unto Satan, that they may learn not to blaspheme.

There is no forgiveness in this age and that is the Commandment that the Israel of God obeys regardless of what flesh thinks about it.

Not all who call themselves Israel are Israel.  Deceivers are easy to spot once the mystery of the Gospel and the Living Word, the very commandments, take hold in our hearts.   Remember that evil company corrupts, and we are to be set apart.  This command to cut off those who blaspheme the Word of God is consistent even in the shadow of the Old Testament.

Num 15:30  ‘But the person who does anything presumptuously, whether he is native-born or a stranger, that one brings reproach on the LORD, and he shall be cut off from among his people.

Num 15:31  Because he has despised the word of the LORD, and has broken His commandment, that person shall be completely cut off; his guilt shall be upon him.’

Those who deny the commandments deny that Jesus [the Word that is Spirit] has come in the flesh and are antichrists. Our handling of those who blaspheme against the Spirit may seem harsh, but if we do not obey the commandment, we become partakers of their evil deeds.

2Jn 1:7  For many deceivers are entered into the world, who confess not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh. This is a deceiver and an antichrist.

2Jn 1:8  Look to yourselves, that we lose not those things which we have wrought, but that we receive a full reward.

2Jn 1:9  Whosoever transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God. He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son.

2Jn 1:10  If there come any unto you, and bring not this doctrine, receive him not into your house, neither bid him God speed:

2Jn 1:11  For he that biddeth him God speed is partaker of his evil deeds.

Sins we commit in our ignorance and unbelief are recompensed in due time, but not as severely as sins we commit wilfully after receiving the knowledge of the commandments [the truth, the Gospel].   If one sins willfully rather than out of weakness, they trample the Living Word and insult the Spirit of Grace after being given the truth through the blood covenant with the Lord.  Many stripes are coming in the appointed time to burn this direct rebellion against His commandments out of one’s heart

Heb 10:26  NKJV For if we sin willfully after we have received the knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins,

Heb 10:27  but a certain fearful expectation of judgment, and fiery indignation which will devour the adversaries.

Heb 10:28  Anyone who has rejected Moses’ law dies without mercy on the testimony of two or three witnesses.

Heb 10:29  Of how much worse punishment, do you suppose, will he be thought worthy who has trampled the Son of God underfoot, counted the blood of the covenant by which he was sanctified a common thing, and insulted the Spirit of grace?

We endure to the end and finish our race, and only then enter fully into the rest that is Christ, the Living Gospel and the Commandments.  Peter called this undertaking “making your calling and election sure.”   We need to be diligent, working, we need to fight, and engage in the daily battle, leaning on the Lord’s commands by the Spirit to help us.  Once we have tasted the heavenly gift of the Spirit, the Holy Commandments, we cannot draw back to perdition as did Judas Iscariot, but continue to the saving of our souls.

Heb 10:38  Now the just shall live by faith: but if any man draw back, my soul shall have no pleasure in him.

Heb 10:39  But we are not of them who draw back unto perdition; but of them that believe to the saving of the soul.

Our disobedience gives occasion to the adversary.

We need to know that our sins harm the kingdom of God and give occasion for those outside the faith to blaspheme the Lord and His commandments.  We see that in the story of David and his sins regarding taking Bathsheba as his wife. The Lord scolded him through Nathan the prophet, and the result of the grievous sin was death.  The child, representing the renewing mindset born out of this union, in type and shadow, dies.

2Sa 12:14  Howbeit, because by this deed thou hast given great occasion to the enemies of the LORD to blaspheme, the child also that is born unto thee shall surely die.

Ezekiel prophesied against the priests of Israel who would fall from the faith and profane the holy commandments, thereby blaspheming the Holy Spirit.

Eze 22:24  Son of man, say unto her, Thou art the land that is not cleansed, nor rained upon in the day of indignation.

Eze 22:25  There is a conspiracy of her prophets in the midst thereof, like a roaring lion ravening the prey; they have devoured souls; they have taken the treasure and precious things [The commands]; they have made her many widows [No Christ, no husband] in the midst thereof.

Eze 22:26  Her priests have violated my law, and have profaned mine holy things: they have put no difference between the holy and profane, neither have they shewed difference between the unclean and the clean, and have hid their eyes from my sabbaths, and I am profaned among them.

It is only by the mercy of our God that we are spared from making this mistake once we have tasted of the Holy Spirit by receiving the Gospel.  Our conduct as the Lord’s people and the light unto the world impacts how the Lord and His Word are received in the world.  Paul connected our disobedience to the Lord’s commands with causing those outside the faith to blaspheme the Lord.

Rom 2:23  Thou that makest thy boast of the law, through breaking the law dishonourest thou God?

Rom 2:24  For the name of God is blasphemed among the Gentiles through you, as it is written.

1Ti 6:1  Let as many servants as are under the yoke count their own masters worthy of all honour, that the name of God and his doctrine be not blasphemed.

The Restoration of Israel and Salvation of All

Our fallen brothers and sisters are restored and grafted back into Christ at a future time.  We do not need to sorrow over that, but should fear that we do not stumble ourselves.  We can also be cut off if we fall from grace and blaspheme against the Lord and His commandments.

Rom 11:18  Boast not against the branches. But if thou boast, thou bearest not the root, but the root thee.

Rom 11:20  Well; because of unbelief they were broken off, and thou standest by faith. Be not highminded, but fear:

Rom 11:21  For if God spared not the natural branches, take heed lest he also spare not thee.

Those ordained to fall away from the faith are renewed unto repentance in the times appointed, when they live out their day of the Lord in the lake of fire.  Salvation cannot be lost; it comes to pass for all in the appointed time.  Nonetheless, we have many admonitions not to fall away and to stay focused on the living commandments and to remain steadfast on the journey.

Mat 24:13  But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.

Heb 3:14  For we are made partakers of Christ, if we hold the beginning of our confidence stedfast unto the end;

Understanding this serious sin and our ongoing need for diligence, Peter’s admonitions carry much greater weight.

1Pe 1:16  Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy.

1Pe 1:17  And if ye call on the Father, who without respect of persons judgeth according to every man’s work, pass the time of your sojourning here in fear:

Peace and grace to the brethren sojourning with us in the faith.
