Commandments in the Church A-C

The Commands of Christ Jesus, the power of an endless Life

Rohnel, and my beloved husband, Peter, servants of God and Christ, unto the twelve tribes scattered in the world beloved of God, called to be saints, to the little children and to the faithful: Grace to you and peace from God our Father, and the Lord Jesus Christ.

Psa 72:18  Blessed be the LORD God, the God of Israel, who only doeth wondrous things. 

Psa 72:19 And blessed be his glorious name for ever: and let the whole earth be filled with his glory; Amen, and Amen. 

2Co 1:3  Blessed be God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies, and the God of all comfort; 

2Co 1:4 Who comforteth us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble, by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God. 

Adorning the Gospel of Christ  

Exo 20:6 And shewing mercy unto thousands of them that love me, and keep my commandments. [Christ did not do away with Moses but made it perfect].

Psa 119:16  I will delight myself in thy statutes: I will not forget thy word. 

Psa 119:17 GIMEL. Deal bountifully with thy servant, that I may live, and keep thy word. 

1Jn 2:3  And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments. 

1Jn 2:4  He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him. 

1Jn 2:5 But whoso keepeth his word, in him verily is the love of God perfected: hereby know we that we are in him.

Rev 22:12  And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be. 

Rev 22:13  I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last. 

Rev 22:14 Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.  

Commandments in the Church A-C

Herewith the Commandments of our Lord, Jesus Christ, as it is written in the New Testament given by His Apostles in alphabetical order [my own] A-C. Some Commands are overlapping in other letters; some are left out here, but after you, the Reader, reads all the letters regarding the Commands of Christ, Jesus, you will know what they are. This is the Bread of Life, which we eat daily, that makes us wise unto salvation. Also, some Commands carry a lot of Scriptures, and it is safe for us to read them all, binding them as a sign upon our hands so it may be as frontlets between our eyes. The commandments included in this posting are these.

 ABIDE IN WHAT YOU HAVE HEARD FROM THE BEGINNING 

What did we hear from the Beginning? What did we hear when Christ had and is having mercy on us to open our blind eyes and deaf ears? We heard the Gospel, the Good News, ordained by messengers sent by God. The Gospel are the Commandments of God, the Father, given to us by Christ and His Apostles and messengers in every age. Do not stray from the Gospel. Do not stray from what you have heard from the Beginning. It is the end of our faith, the salvation of our souls. Those who deny the Gospel deny the Father and His Son; that is to say, they do not believe in the Power of Christ’s resurrection within us to save us from spiritual death. These mockers walk after their own carnal thoughts and have not the Spirit of Christ. The mystery is now made known, and it was hidden before, believe our report. We also heard from the Beginning that we should love our brothers by keeping Christ’s Commandments. Nothing else will do; we love our brothers when we keep His Commandments and teach others to follow after us.

1Jn 2:22  Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist, that denieth the Father and the Son. 

1Jn 2:23  Whosoever denieth the Son, the same hath not the Father: (but) he that acknowledgeth the Son hath the Father also. 

1Jn 2:24 Let that therefore abide in you, which ye have heard from the beginning. If that which ye have heard from the beginning shall remain in you, ye also shall continue in the Son, and in the Father.

1Jn 3:11  For this is the message that ye heard from the beginning, that we should love one another. 

1Jn 3:14  We know that we have passed from death unto life, because we love the brethren. He that loveth not his brother abideth in death. 

1Jn 3:15  Whosoever hateth his brother is a murderer: and ye know that no murderer hath eternal life abiding in him. 

1Jn 3:16  Hereby perceive we the love of God, because he laid down his life for us: and we ought to lay down our lives for the brethren. 

1Jn 3:17  But whoso hath this world’s good, and seeth his brother have need, and shutteth up his bowels of compassion from him, how dwelleth the love of God in him? 

1Jn 3:18  My little children, let us not love in word, neither in tongue; but in deed and in truth. 

Jud 1:17  But, beloved, remember ye the words which were spoken before of the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ; 

Jud 1:18  How that they told you there should be mockers in the last time, who should walk after their own ungodly lusts. 

Jud 1:19 These be they who separate themselves, sensual, having not the Spirit. 

ACTS 15 – Four necessary things

Here is a summary: Meat offered to idols is pursuing the lusts of riches without Christ’s Commandments, which pollute us. It is the sin of idolatry where we bow down to our own reasonings and do not hold fast to our Head. Abstaining from blood means abstaining from our carnal thoughts and reasonings, going up and down in our heavens, and instead resting in the Lord’s Commandments. It means to do no violence in our lands, which means once again to be at rest. Abstaining from strangled meat, which is suffocated meat, means there is no suffering involved; that is to say, unlike Christ’s Commandments, which cause suffering, this strangled meat is knowledge without suffering for it. It is another Gospel, another Jesus. Lastly, abstaining from fornication means not having relations with our natural father, the devil’s wife, which spiritually means not straying from the Gospel of Christ and building up a spiritual kingdom without Christ.

Act 15:20  But that we write unto them, that they abstain from pollutions of idols, and from fornication, and from things strangled, and from blood. 

Act 15:28  For it seemed good to the Holy Ghost, and to us, to lay upon you no greater burden than these necessary things; 

Act 15:29 That ye abstain from meats offered to idols, and from blood, and from things strangled, and from fornication: from which if ye keep yourselves, ye shall do well. Fare ye well. 

ADMONISH ONE ANOTHER

Admonishing one another is the true love of God. We exhort with longsuffering and patience and with all authority because we have the written Word and do not lean on our own understanding when we exhort each other. We admonish each other in the Church of God, saving each other, making each other perfect, and that is to say Christ in us, the Hope of Glory, does all the work; boasting is excluded. Faithful are the wounds of a friend, but deceitful are the kisses of the enemy. Rebuke a wise man and he will love you because he gets wiser still.

Rom 15:14  And I myself also am persuaded of you, my brethren, that ye also are full of goodness, filled with all knowledge, able also to admonish one another. 

1Th 5:12 And we beseech you, brethren, to know them which labour among you, and are over you in the Lord, and admonish you; 

ARMOUR OF GOD

In the Day of the Lord, we stand, we do not fight, we guard the way to the Tree of Life as the covering cherubs. There is no violence in our land because we have put off the evil works of darkness. We are no longer under the schoolmaster; Faith IS come. Therefore, our loins are girded with Truth, which is the glorious Gospel of our Saviour. Our breastplate is the righteousness of Christ’s Commands that if we do them, we are being saved by them.  Our feet are shod with the Gospel of peace, which is to always be ready to preach the Gospel within and without. Our shield of Faith is again the Commandments of Christ, which put to silence all the lies, fables, the endless genealogies, and commandments of men. Our sword and helmet of salvation is the Word of God; it is all Scripture, the old and the new. We remember that the days are evil, therefore we walk in the Light in our Day of the Lord. The Day when we are being perfected is the third day of our spiritual walk symbolically.

Rom 13:12 The night is far spent, the day is at hand: let us therefore cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armour of light. 

2Co 6:7 By the word of truth, by the power of God, by the armour of righteousness on the right hand and on the left, 

Eph 6:13  Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. 

Eph 6:14  Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; 

Eph 6:15  And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; 

Eph 6:16  Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. 

Eph 6:17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God: 

ASK

Is our Father in heaven and Christ, His Son, not our Father? They created us and gave us our inheritance before we even were. Shall we then not ask the Father through Christ to give us wisdom in all and ask for the Holy Spirit to come, believing we shall receive? Are we not the Lord’s people, and will the Father give us a stone if we ask for bread? Ask and you will have the Gentiles for an inheritance, that is to say, overcoming of sin. Ask of the Lord the former and latter rain and prepare to receive Him. Repent of your sins and stop doing them, believe in His Blood, that is to say, receive John’s Baptism, the Gospel. Wait for the Promise, I say wait with meekness and humbleness, praying, believing you will receive. Christ asked the Father to give us the Comforter. Those who received the Holy Spirit now ask the Father through Christ to give it to the true and faithful brethren, who make themselves ready for His Coming.

Eph 3:20  Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us, 

Eph 3:21  Unto him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen. 

Jas 1:5  If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him. 

Jas 1:6  But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed. 

1Jn 3:22  And whatsoever we ask, we receive of him, because we keep his commandments, and do those things that are pleasing in his sight. 

BEAR ANOTHER’S BURDENS

We are commanded to bear each other’s burdens. Why? Because Christ bears our burdens and as He is, so are we. The Lord bears and carries and delivers us, and we do the same to those He puts in front of us. We are being made perfect, and in the Assembly of God, we are in different stages of maturity in our walk, and that is why we bear with those not so far along, to come and see the true Christ, to teach the true Gospel of Christ to them. We are also commanded to bear our own burden that is to say, study at home, so they who teach us, those who were taught by God, may see our progress. We do not burden the Church unnecessarily, but also study at home so we may all come to a perfect man in Christ. Bear the yoke in your youth, that is to say, do not just warm yourself by the fire, eating the Lord’s Supper, but go home and be in the Lord’s Word. Simon, a Cyrenian, was compelled to bear the Lord’s cross; in type, in shadow, it means we, as the Lord’s people, bear the cross of the chosen elect in this age, our fellow brethren.

Gal 6:1  Brethren, if a man be overtaken in a fault, ye which are spiritual, restore such an one in the spirit of meekness; considering thyself, lest thou also be tempted. 

Gal 6:2  Bear ye one another’s burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ. 

Gal 6:3  For if a man think himself to be something, when he is nothing, he deceiveth himself. 

Gal 6:4  But let every man prove his own work, and then shall he have rejoicing in himself alone, and not in another. 

Gal 6:5  For every man shall bear his own burden. 

Gal 6:6 Let him that is taught in the word communicate unto him that teacheth in all good things. 

1Th 4:11  And that ye study to be quiet, and to do your own business, and to work with your own hands, as we commanded you; 

1Th 4:12 That ye may walk honestly toward them that are without, and that ye may have lack of nothing. 

BE A SACRIFICE

Doing all the Commandments of God, we are still unprofitable servants, only doing our duty to God. How can we ever thank God, the Father, and the Lord for all They are doing for us? Thus, keeping the Commandments with a joyful heart and offering up sacrifices of praise, thanksgiving, and prayer is the right thing to do. What is man that the Father and Son even acknowledge us? We are not our own anymore but were redeemed from among men to be a royal priesthood, a peculiar people, unto God and Christ. It is only just that we serve and worship God, the Father, and Son, Christ Jesus. Kings rule and priests serve; we are in God’s service, bought with a price.

Rom 12:1  I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. 

Eph 5:2  And walk in love, as Christ also hath loved us, and hath given himself for us an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweetsmelling savour. 

Heb 13:15  By him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to his name. 

BEAR THE INFIRMITIES OF THE WEAK

Are you strong in the Spirit? Are you reborn? Can you see clearly now? Bear the infirmities of the weak; that is what we are called to do as the Lord’s holy arm. We do not live for ourselves anymore, and he that is faithful in little, is faithful in much. Give what you can to those asking of you. Bear with those who are weak, give them comfort and hope, waiting on the Promise. Take their infirmities and bear their sicknesses as Christ did and do for us. Cast out the lies, and when we ourselves are weak, then we are strong. We know what those who are weak are going through because we have been before them. Let those who still wait on the Lord in meekness and quietness do the things the Lord requires of them.

Act 20:35  I have shewed you all things, how that so labouring ye ought to support the weak, and to remember the words of the Lord Jesus, how he said, It is more blessed to give than to receive. 

Rom 15:1  We then that are strong ought to bear the infirmities of the weak, and not to please ourselves. 

Rom 15:2  Let every one of us please his neighbour for his good to edification. 

Rom 15:3  For even Christ pleased not himself; but, as it is written, The reproaches of them that reproached thee fell on me. 

Rom 15:4  For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope. 

1Co 9:22  To the weak became I as weak, that I might gain the weak: I am made all things to all men, that I might by all means save some. 

1Co 9:23  And this I do for the gospel’s sake, that I might be partaker thereof with you. 

2Co 13:9  For we are glad, when we are weak, and ye are strong: and this also we wish, even your perfection. 

1Th 5:14  Now we exhort you, brethren, warn them that are unruly, comfort the feebleminded, support the weak, be patient toward all men.

BE CONTENT

The opposite of contentment is greediness. Greedy for the wrong meat, the knowledge that does not save. This meat, speaking in a parable, takes away our lives, and we become dead in Spirit. It is the knowledge that oppresses because it is without Christ. The glorious Gospel of Christ, which saves us, is not attractive to the natural man.  When we are not content with the knowledge of Christ, His Faith, we stray to bow down to the idols of our own hearts. We seek out other avenues. The Command to be content teaches us to forsake ungodliness and live soberly, being in Christ’s Presence every day. What does it help to gain the world, that is to say, gain all the knowledge, but lose one’s soul? Only Christ saves our souls. As the Psalmist writes, please save my darling from the lions. The love of money, which means the love for the knowledge without Christ, is the root of all evil. It is the pride of life, and we are created that way, but Christ has overcome the pride of life because greater is He that is in us than that which is of the world.

Php 4:9 Those things, which ye have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, do: and the God of peace shall be with you. 

1Ti 6:6  But godliness with contentment is great gain. 

1Ti 6:7  For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out. 

1Ti 6:8  And having food and raiment let us be therewith content. 

1Ti 6:10  For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows. 

1Ti 6:17  Charge them that are rich in this world, that they be not highminded, nor trust in uncertain riches, but in the living God, who giveth us richly all things to enjoy; 

1Ti 6:18  That they do good, that they be rich in good works, ready to distribute, willing to communicate; 

1Ti 6:19  Laying up in store for themselves a good foundation against the time to come, that they may lay hold on eternal life. 

BE FRUITFUL

We are the Lord’s workmanship who work all things after the counsel of His will. The Lord redeems us from the snare of the carnal mind and its lusts, which is the law of sin in our members, to set us up high above all peoples. As the Lord increases in us and we decrease, our faith grows, and we go from glory to glory. We forget what is behind and stretch forth to the things set before us, living in the Day of the Lord. We strive to add virtue to our Faith, that is to say, we strive to maintain good works and to add the knowledge of Christ, knowing His Commandments. Temperance is not to stray from the Gospel and to become occupied with knowledge that is not of Christ, and to that add patience in our longsuffering, and to that true godliness which is from the heart, the inside of the cup, and to that brotherly kindness and love which is keeping the Commandments of Christ. Doing all this, we make our calling and election sure. Paul desired to see fruit in the Church, which is love.

Gal 5:22  But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, 

Gal 5:23  Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law. 

Php 4:17  Not because I desire a gift: but I desire fruit that may abound to your account. 

2Pe 1:4  Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust. 

2Pe 1:5  And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge; 

2Pe 1:6  And to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness; 

2Pe 1:7  And to godliness brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness charity. 

2Pe 1:8  For if these things be in you, and abound, they make you that ye shall neither be barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. 

2Pe 1:10  Wherefore the rather, brethren, give diligence to make your calling and election sure: for if ye do these things, ye shall never fall: 

BE HOLY

On this Day of our walk, the Lord’s Day, when judgment falls upon His House, we are commanded to be holy because the Lord is holy. To be holy is to be made perfect according to the measure of faith we have been given by the Lord. The Lord was perfected on the third day, and we are being perfected now on our third day. We make straight paths for our feet because all things become new. We do not continue in sin, nor do we go about our business the usual way. We are set apart from the world, a peculiar people, unto the Lord. The Lord’s Temple is holy, which we are, and we are a kingdom of holy priests. The holy anointing oil the Lord anointed us with are His Holy Commandments. Everything about this Day is holy; therefore, we are commanded to be holy, that is to say, be set apart, be perfect. It is all the Lord’s work and nothing of ourselves. If you are not in this Day yet, wait for it, this beautiful Promise of Life to come is a gift of God after you have done His will. Repent, and ask the Lord to come and make His abode in your hearts and minds. The Lord comes to His chosen and faithful in this age and in every generation. You have been chosen to wait for the Lord.

Heb 12:14  Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord: 

Heb 12:15  Looking diligently lest any man fail of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up trouble you, and thereby many be defiled; 

Heb 12:16 Lest there be any fornicator, or profane person, as Esau, who for one morsel of meat sold his birthright. 

1Pe 1:13  Wherefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and hope to the end for the grace that is to be brought unto you at the revelation of Jesus Christ; 

1Pe 1:14  As obedient children, not fashioning yourselves according to the former lusts in your ignorance:

1Pe 1:15  But as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation; 

1Pe 1:16  Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy. 

1Pe 1:17 And if ye call on the Father, who without respect of persons judgeth according to every man’s work, pass the time of your sojourning here in fear: 

BELIEVE

We are told that those who believe in Christ are being saved. Only the Holy Spirit reveals the Faith of Christ to a person. The Lord is working a work today that we would not have believed in times past. Be not afraid, only believe. Those who do not have the Word of the Lord abiding in them believe not; they are not of Christ’s sheep. The Lord chooses His people before the foundation of the world. The Faith of Christ is a gift. Lord, please help our unbelief. Do not be afraid, believe.

Rom 10:9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. 

Gal 3:22 But the scripture hath concluded all under sin, that the promise by faith of Jesus Christ might be given to them that believe. 

 1Jn 5:13  These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God. 

BE READY 

Be ready and know what this Hope is when you are asked. It is the Hope of Glory, which is Christ and the Father in you. Wait patiently for the gift from above. Study to show yourself approved and obey the Commandments, then this Hope will come to you, the overcoming of sin. Hope makes us not ashamed. Rejoice in this Hope. The hope of the righteous shall be gladness, but the expectation of the wicked shall perish. It is good for a man to hope and quietly wait for the salvation of the Lord. I say, quietly wait for the Lord.

Rom 12:12 Rejoicing in hope; patient in tribulation; continuing instant in prayer; 

 1Pe 3:15 But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear: 

BE SUBJECT

Christ is very clear that we have to submit ourselves to every ordinance of man, whether good or bad. Very few people receive this Command. Therefore, we pay taxes and toll money, parking fines, and levies as an example in all areas of life where it is required of us according to the laws of the land. We give to Caesar that which is his, notwithstanding the fact whether the authorities placed over us are good or evil. We strive to do the right thing, that is, to morally excel for the Lord’s sake. If the Government misbehaves and is corrupt and evil, we still obey the laws of the land because we are Christ’s bondservants and belong to Him, doing everything to please our Lord and Saviour, thus doing it unto Him and not unto men. It goes without saying that we obey the authorities and those who rule over us in what we know is reasonable and right [what is right for each man if he is a true Christian, is that our conscience towards Christ does not condemn us]. Here are the witnesses to this Command, which our natural man hates, especially when the Government is corrupt. Remember, we do not speak evil about anything or anybody. Every man or institution stands or falls to his own master. We know the Lord works everything. We do not lean on our own understanding but trust completely in the Lord.

Rom 13:1  Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God. 

Rom 13:2  Whosoever therefore resisteth the power, resisteth the ordinance of God: and they that resist shall receive to themselves damnation. 

Rom 13:3  For rulers are not a terror to good works, but to the evil. Wilt thou then not be afraid of the power? do that which is good, and thou shalt have praise of the same: 

Rom 13:4  For he is the minister of God to thee for good. But if thou do that which is evil, be afraid; for he beareth not the sword in vain: for he is the minister of God, a revenger to execute wrath upon him that doeth evil. 

Rom 13:5  Wherefore ye must needs be subject, not only for wrath, but also for conscience sake. 

Rom 13:6  For for this cause pay ye tribute also: for they are God’s ministers, attending continually upon this very thing. 

Rom 13:7 Render therefore to all their dues: tribute to whom tribute is due; custom to whom custom; fear to whom fear; honour to whom honour. 

Tit 3:1 Put them in mind to be subject to principalities and powers, to obey magistrates, to be ready to every good work, 

1Pe 2:13  Submit yourselves to every ordinance of man for the Lord’s sake: whether it be to the king, as supreme; 

1Pe 2:14 Or unto governors, as unto them that are sent by him for the punishment of evildoers, and for the praise of them that do well. 

1Pe 2:17 Honour all men. Love the brotherhood. Fear God. Honour the king.

BE THANKFUL 

The true Church of God, the Church of the Firstborn, heavenly Jerusalem, is exceedingly thankful and content for the early mercy of God in our lives, which opens eyes and ears. Remember, the Lord speaks of things that are not as if they are, so if you are still waiting for Him to open your eyes and ears, do your best to be found faithful, repent of your sins, and ask for the Comforter, and He will do it. We are abundantly blessed with food, and the Spirit of Glory rests upon us as His people. The Lord continually leads us in the way we should go, and therefore, we are thankful beyond measure. The Father and Christ have turned our mourning into joy. If this is not you yet, wait for it; it will come. Then praise His Holy Name and be thankful because His mercy endures forever. Christ never leaves or forsakes us.

Col 3:15 And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body; and be ye thankful. 

1Th 5:18 In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you. 

Eph 5:20  Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ; 

BEWARE OF THE CIRCUMCISION

We have a true circumcision, and we have a false circumcision. We do not talk of a fleshly circumcision here. Spiritually, a true circumcision is those who are circumcised in heart who walk by the Spirit of Christ. The Commands here warn us against the false circumcision, the evil workers, the liars in the Assembly, the hypocrites, who upset members because they look to their own way. They believe in the commandments of men, that is to say, their own thoughts, accusing and excusing them, and not holding to the Head, which is Christ. They have a form of godliness without the Power of the Holy Spirit. They are taught in the Word and come a long way, yet they lack. Scriptures refer to these as the ones that cannot bark, loving to sleep and to slumber. Take heed to these lying spirits and avoid or rebuke them.

Php 3:2 Beware of dogs, beware of evil workers, beware of the concision. 

Tit 1:10  For there are many unruly and vain talkers and deceivers, specially they of the circumcision: 

Tit 1:11 Whose mouths must be stopped, who subvert whole houses, teaching things which they ought not, for filthy lucre’s sake. 

Rev 22:14  Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city. 

Rev 22:15 For without are dogs, and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and murderers, and idolaters, and whosoever loveth and maketh a lie. 

BOLDNESS

We have Christ Jesus, our Great High Priest, who has gone before us, who was tempted like we are, yet He never sinned because He had the fullness of the Holy Spirit. He knows what we are going through because He came in the same sinful flesh. Knowing this, we have great boldness asking Him to give us mercy that is to open our eyes and ears to see Him and to ask for His grace, the Comforter, so we may obtain the power to obey Him, and that is to worship the Father. We do not waver in remembering who the One is that made the Promise to us. We exhort and love one another when we assemble, as we see the Day of the Lord come near to those waiting for Christ.  We have great confidence in the Promises of Christ, who is the faithful Witness.

Heb 4:16  Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need. 

1Jn 4:17  Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as he is, so are we in this world. 

Heb 10:22  Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water. 

Heb 10:23  Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;) 

Heb 10:24  And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works: 

Heb 10:25  Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching. 

Heb 10:35  Cast not away therefore your confidence, which hath great recompence of reward. 

1Jn 5:14  And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us: 

1Jn 5:15  And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him.

BROTHERLY LOVE

There are many Scriptures about brotherly love because it is just so important. Brotherly love is not a feeling but rather fervently keeping the Commandments of the Lord and teaching others the Gospel, which are the Commandments. We see that we have to abound in this love, keeping the Commandments more and more, and this love extends to all people. We love one another with a pure heart, that is to say, we preach the Gospel to our brethren and no other doctrine. If we do not preach the Gospel to our brethren and do not walk the talk, we hate our brethren and have fellowship with the evil works of darkness. We love our brothers with a godly love, saving them, pulling them out of the fire. Therefore, we labour night and day to lay up for them and us a good foundation built upon the Rock, which is Christ, which makes us able to stand in this Day of the Lord.

Rom 12:10  Be kindly affectioned one to another with brotherly love; in honour preferring one another; 

Eph 5:1  Be ye therefore followers of God, as dear children; 

Eph 5:2 And walk in love, as Christ also hath loved us, and hath given himself for us an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweetsmelling savour. 

Col 3:14  And above all these things put on charity, which is the bond of perfectness. 

1Th 3:12 And the Lord make you to increase and abound in love one toward another, and toward all men, even as we do toward you:

CONTINUE IN THE FAITH

Continue in the Faith is to continue in the Gospel; it is to continue in the belief that the blood of Christ saves us from all of our sins. We can only go forward, Lord willing, and that is what we do. All the bridges are burnt behind us. We have tasted the heavenly gift, this is the Faith of Christ and not the faith in Christ. We tasted that the Lord is gracious and see that the Lord is merciful. The Lord promised that after we suffered a while, He would ground and settle us. Never again will we lack food, clothes, or a resting place because the Lord settles us in our own land [Promised] and leads us to streams of Living Waters. He gives us the overcoming of our sins, which makes us righteous in His sight, that is the fine linen we wear.

Col 1:23 If ye continue in the faith grounded and settled, and be not moved away from the hope of the gospel, which ye have heard, and which was preached to every creature which is under heaven; whereof I Paul am made a minister; 

1Jn 2:24  Let that therefore abide in you, which ye have heard from the beginning. If that which ye have heard from the beginning shall remain in you, ye also shall continue in the Son, and in the Father. 

1Jn 2:25 And this is the promise that he hath promised us, even eternal life.

COVETOUSNESS

The Psalmist writes incline my heart to Your Testimonies and not to covetousness. The Lord hates covetousness, which is knowledge, spiritual riches gained, but forgetting the Lord and His Commandments. Making our nests up high, saying, No evil come near us, is what we do at first. In the Day of the Lord, the Lord destroys all that so-called knowledge with the brightness of His coming. The resurrected Christ in us counts everything as dung except for Christ’s glorious Commandments. Covetousness is idolatry, which is the lies and fables we tell ourselves, thinking above what is written, to accomplish our own salvation, not giving honour to Christ or the Father. The Lord brings down the fruit of our thoughts in this Day, which is now upon our house because we rejected His Commandments in the past. Repent and turn.

2Pe 2:1  But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction. 

2Pe 2:2  And many shall follow their pernicious ways; by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of. 

2Pe 2:3 And through covetousness shall they with feigned words make merchandise of you: whose judgment now of a long time lingereth not, and their damnation slumbereth not.

Sin Shall Not Have Dominion Over You

With Grace, peace, and love to the brethren.  May these words be received with thanksgiving and encourage all to press onward to the high calling.

The Lord requires us to correct and clarify a key doctrine not adequately addressed in a recent gathering.  It is essential to quickly cut off any inroads of our adversary into our heavens, not to defile the faith and defraud our brothers and sisters in Christ.  We hope all receive the correction in meekness, as the Scriptures witness, so we can continue to grow together.

When Jesus Christ comes to us the second time, it is for salvation apart from sin.  Christ’s coming for salvation is a tremendous promise that few are given the faith to believe.  When He comes, the end of sin is in view.

Heb 9:28  So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation. 

The power of God to overcome and cease from sin in this age is the Promise we have been covering of late in our studies.  It is not some theory; it is the very Promise of God who cannot lie.  One of the biggest lies in the orthodox churches of men that carries over into our time in Spiritual Babylon is the lie that we cannot cease from sin.  This giant plank ensures one remains blind, with this lie being on par with the lies of eternal hell, free will, and the trinity.  Such a belief is a complete denial of the faith when we say one cannot overcome sin through the power of the Living Christ.  Such a doctrine is not of faith and denies the power of God.  It is another Jesus and is not the Gospel of Jesus Christ.  It is a denial of Jesus Christ, the Scriptures and the power of God.

Mat 22:29  Jesus answered and said unto them, Ye do err, not knowing the scriptures, nor the power of God. 

We do not exit Spiritual Babylon until this doctrine of devils is removed from our eyes.  Then, if the Lord wills, we can receive the true Gospel.  Until we are awakened from this lie, we are not overcoming our sins, as we lack the requisite faith in God and His power unto salvation.  May some awaken out of their sleep and receive the light of the truth.

Eph 5:14  Wherefore he saith, Awake thou that sleepest, and arise from the dead, and Christ shall give thee light. 

Before truth comes in Spirit,  we have been told many lies, including that there is no ceasing from sin in these clay vessels.  Please do not downplay the power of God or any of His promises in any way.  This belief that one cannot stop sinning because we still abide in sinful flesh denies the Lord.  It is unbelief in the promises of God and even the Words of Jesus Christ.  We can be perfect and will get there if we endure in the faith.

Mat 5:48  Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect. 

If we gather in the heavenly Jerusalem, the church, we are gathered with spirits of just men made perfect, being with Christ who now lives in the hearts and minds of His Elect.

Heb 12:22  But ye are come unto mount Sion, and unto the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to an innumerable company of angels, 

Heb 12:23  To the general assembly and church of the firstborn, which are written in heaven, and to God the Judge of all, and to the spirits of just men made perfect, 

Heb 12:24  And to Jesus the mediator of the new covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling, that speaketh better things than that of Abel. 

The Lord does not command us to do anything, like being perfect, that He does not equip us to accomplish.  When the Promise comes, the power of God comes, and then we can be perfect as our Father, who sits in our heaven, is perfect.  Few believe they can be perfect, as they must be given the faith to believe it and get past all the lies, and then wait for the Promise.   Believe the Lord and not any man.  He has meat to give us, but we do not know of it until it is given.  It is the power to overcome sin.

Luk 24:49  And, behold, I send the promise of my Father upon you: but tarry ye in the city of Jerusalem, until ye be endued with power from on high. 

When we have been born again of the water [John] and the Spirit [Christ], we sin not and we keep ourselves in obedience by the indwelling power of God.  The tempter no longer wreaks havoc in our heaven.

1Jn 5:18  We know that whosoever is born of God sinneth not; but he that is begotten of God keepeth himself, and that wicked one toucheth him not. 

Once the Promise comes, we have been given everything we need to produce godliness and be holy in all our behavior.  Nothing lacks.

2Pe 1:3  According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue:

We have the power of the Living Word of God sitting in our heaven and have cast out the devil who is the father of the carnal mind not subject to the law of God [See Rev 12:7-10].  We have new understanding of the Scriptures for correction, instruction in righteousness and preach the Gospel so everyone may be made perfect in Christ Jesus.

Col 1:28  Whom we preach, warning every man, and teaching every man in all wisdom; that we may present every man perfect in Christ Jesus: 

Sadducees believe there is No Resurrection:

A spiritual Sadducee believes there is no resurrection from death [sin] in this life.  They do not believe the Lord or that His power utterly saves us from sin while we abide in vessels of flesh.  They are convinced one remains in their sins, contrary to the Scriptures and the words of God, for their entire physical lives.  As a result, the Sadducee says there is no overcoming of sin in this life, meaning one cannot be made perfect.  As your faith is, so be it unto you, says the Lord.  As a result, Sadducees do not overcome, remain dead in their sins, and are not saved until the next age despite their profession of faith.  Sadducees do not understand the Scriptures nor the power of God, denying the resurrection, the Lord’s angels, and the power of the Holy Spirit to deliver us from sin.

Act 23:8  For the Sadducees say that there is no resurrection, neither angel, nor spirit: but the Pharisees confess both. 

Christ warns us to beware of the leaven of the Sadducees and the Pharisees, which is the lies they speak and obey.  These are fellow Jews, our brethren of Israel, and we reason with them to persuade them of the truth.  They have a known zeal for God but without knowledge.  Only the Lord can give the increase according to His will.  [See Romans 10:1-4]

Those who preach and live by the Gospel are commanded to judge the law of faith and correct lies that creep in and can devour the flock.  The lie that one cannot overcome sin has no place in the household of God.   If we do not act to burn up the lie, the blood of the saints taken astray would be on our hands.  We are bringing judgment on this critical matter of doctrine.

Mat 19:28  And Jesus said unto them, Verily I say unto you, That ye which have followed me, in the regeneration when the Son of man shall sit in the throne of his glory, ye also shall sit upon twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel. 

All of us are Sadducees for a season until the Lord has mercy, opens our eyes, and brings the Promise in the appointed time.  Lord willing, some brethren can be awakened from their slumber.  For the hope of the resurrection, the faith that we do overcome sin, the ministers of the Gospel are persecuted by those who still walk in the flesh, not having the Promise. Flesh does not want to hear the truth; it would rather stay in its sin, warm itself by the fire, and say they have already been delivered.

Act 23:6  But when Paul perceived that the one part were Sadducees, and the other Pharisees, he cried out in the council, Men and brethren, I am a Pharisee, the son of a Pharisee: of the hope and resurrection of the dead I am called in question. 

Overcoming sin requires suffering.

Overcoming sin requires much suffering.  To follow Christ, we must deny ourselves, pick up a cross, and follow Him.  It is not going to be comfortable; it is going to be painful for a while.  The way is not easy, but if we believe and wait for the Promise, we receive the Comforter living inside of us that brings the power to succeed.  Don’t deny the faith.  If we suffer with Him, we are reigning with Him, right now, as the time is at hand, if we have the Spirit.  We follow the example of the Lord, and this is how we cease from sin.

1Pe 4:1  Forasmuch then as Christ hath suffered for us in the flesh, arm yourselves likewise with the same mind: for he that hath suffered in the flesh hath ceased from sin;[Now, not out there]

1Pe 4:2  That he no longer should live the rest of his time in the flesh to the lusts of men, but to the will of God.

Our lives are no longer ours; we have been redeemed for a price.  We belong to God, and our life is sacrificed to the Lord.

Gal 2:20  I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me. 

When the Promise comes, we are justified by the measure of Christ’s faith we are given, but we still have to walk it out and suffer.  Jesus Christ is not a minister for sin, and we cannot continue to live in sin, being sons of God.  Any lie to the contrary needs to be burned out of our hearts.

Gal 2:17  But if, while we seek to be justified by Christ, we ourselves also are found sinners, is therefore Christ the minister of sin?  God forbid. 

Without the shedding of blood, our suffering in the flesh, there is no remission of sin.  We shed blood by laying down our lives to follow the Lord, striving against all impulses of sin.  The Lord helps us with the Spirit, our Comforter, who is the Promise and brings the needed power and chastening.

Heb 12:4  Ye have not yet resisted unto blood, striving against sin.

Heb 12:5  And ye have forgotten the exhortation which speaketh unto you as unto children, My son, despise not thou the chastening of the Lord, nor faint when thou art rebuked of him:

Heb 12:6  For whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth, and scourgeth every son whom he receiveth.

We need Christ’s faith and power to resist to the shedding of blood and overcome sin.  Flesh is too weak.  That is why we exhort all to believe, tarry, and pray for the Lord to come with His salvation by the Promise.  Ask, and you shall receive it in due time.  Ask the Lord for the Promise.

Mat 7:7  Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you: 

One has to live through the seven plagues to enter the Temple and finish the race.  Those who finish the race, enduring to the end, are saved from their sins now.  Their judgment is completed, and they overcome sin now, not in the age to come.  Today is the day of salvation when Christ comes.  John had a vision of those who had overcome, the angels of the Lord, whom the Sadducees also deny.

Rev 15:2  And I saw as it were a sea of glass mingled with fire: and them that had gotten the victory over the beast, and over his image, and over his mark, and over the number of his name, stand on the sea of glass, having the harps of God. 

We get the fullness of the Spirit when we depart these clay vessels, never dying, yet we overcome now in our day of the Lord with the earnest deposit of the Spirit.

All the Apostles agree that we overcome sin now in these bodies if we have the Spirit of God, the power on high, in us.  Here is Paul.

Rom 6:5  For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection: 

Rom 6:6  Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin. 

Rom 6:7  For he that is dead is freed from sin. 

If we have received the baptism of Christ, we are indeed dead to this world as Christ lives in us and we SHALL be in the likeness of His resurrection.  It is not a maybe.  Having Christ living in us, the body of sin is destroyed, and we no longer serve sin.  Without the Promise or its hope, we remain dead in our sins, no matter what faith we express.  If Christ lives in us, sitting on His throne, we are dead to sin, and Christ is revealed in all our behavior, and all things are made new.

Rev 21:5  And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new.  And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful. 

We mortify [kill] the lusts of the devil that live in our sinful flesh [the earth] by the power of the Spirit, the Living Commandments of faith we have been given.  If Christ is risen in us, we overcome sin; there is no other outcome.

Col 3:1  If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God. 

Col 3:2  Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth. 

Col 3:3  For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God. 

Col 3:4  When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with him in glory. 

Col 3:5  Mortify therefore your members which are upon the earth; fornication, uncleanness, inordinate affection, evil concupiscence, and covetousness, which is idolatry: 

We are to be dead to sin and alive to Christ.  Christ only dies once for salvation.  He does not continually die for our sins after He comes to us; He comes once for salvation.  If Christ comes and dies for us and is raised in our heavens, we are caused to live for God and no longer ourselves.  That is the work of grace, living in us, in the throne that chastens us to sin not.

Rom 6:10  For in that he died, he died unto sin once: but in that he liveth, he liveth unto God. 

Rom 6:11  Likewise reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord. 

Rom 6:12  Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body, that ye should obey it in the lusts thereof. 

Rom 6:13  Neither yield ye your members as instruments of unrighteousness unto sin: but yield yourselves unto God, as those that are alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness unto God. 

Rom 6:14  For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace. 

Once the Promise, the Truth comes into us, there is no longer a sacrifice for sins.  If we willfully continue in sin, we will have every expectation of fiery judgment that will consume the adversaries of God.  His grace shall prevail. See Hebrews 10.

After the Promise comes, a season is needed to establish ourselves and be settled, but it is not long.  Satan knows his time is short, and the Lord works quickly on the earth.  We resist steadfastly in the commandments, and we overcome, and in a little while, we are settled and established.

1Pe 5:9  Whom resist stedfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world.

1Pe 5:10  But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you. 

We strive to be perfect and holy at every turn, knowing the Lord is faithful to finish the work and bring salvation.  Being young in faith, we may fall until we are established and strengthened in the grace of God.  Yet we never turn the grace into a license to keep sinning so that grace may abound.

Gal 5:16  This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh. 

But this little season is far different from a belief that says we do not overcome and stop sinning.  Even in a body of sinful flesh, the power of God is greater.  When we walk in the Spirit, we resist, overcome, and gain victory through the Lord Jesus Christ.

1Co 15:55  O death, where is thy sting?  O grave, where is thy victory? 

1Co 15:56  The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law. 

1Co 15:57  But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. 

This victory over sin is right now if we belong to Christ and have the Spirit in us.  It is not out there in the future, which is the Spirit of the Pharisee.  It is TODAY.  Is the Spirit in you?  We have an easy test to find out.

Rom 8:9  But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you.  Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his. 

Rom 8:10  And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life because of righteousness. 

Rom 8:11  But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you. 

If we are still walking in the flesh, being overcome by sin, we do not have the power of God working in us.  When Christ comes for salvation, apart from sin the second time, we have been redeemed and belong to Him.  We are made debtors or also spoken of as bond servants.  By the power of God now dwelling in us, we mortify the lusts of our flesh, meaning we overcome sin.  We are either sons of God or not, and our fruits tell us what is true.

Rom 8:12  Therefore, brethren, we are debtors, not to the flesh, to live after the flesh. 

Rom 8:13  For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live. 

Rom 8:14  For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God. 

Rom 8:15  For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father. 

Rom 8:16  The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God: 

This does not mean we won’t stumble, particularly in our youth, after receiving the power unto salvation.  It takes a season to be settled and strengthened in the new realm in which we live.  But those lacking faith, take this and turn the grace of God into lasciviousness and a justification to remain dead in their sins.  Worse, they think they already have the Spirit and no longer hope or pray for it to come.

We never rest from doing the Lord’s work and say we have arrived, but continually press onward and upward for the high calling.  We get our crowns of glory, the fullness of the mind of Christ, when we depart the physical realm to be with the Lord in Spirit.  We never stop running until then.

2Ti 4:6  For I am now ready to be offered, and the time of my departure is at hand. 

2Ti 4:7  I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: 

2Ti 4:8  Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing. 

Twisting Scripture to Stay in Sin

We need to address some Scriptures often used, to the exclusion of scores of others [many included here], to support a doctrine that there is no overcoming of sin in this life, even with the Spirit.  This set of Scripture does not nullify the scores of other Scriptures that tell us we are made perfect, as our Father who sits in heaven is perfect.

1Jn 1:8  If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. 

1Jn 1:9  If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 

1Jn 1:10  If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us. 

This is not the sum of the Word, not even the sum of John’s first epistle.  Some of the Apostles’ letters are written to those who do not yet have the Promise [Corinthians, Thessalonians], some to churches having received the Promise [Galatians, Ephesians], and some to a mixed audience, such as Hebrews and John’s first epistle.  Understanding this hidden truth is essential to rightly dividing the Scriptures.  Once the Promise comes, the Living Christ with the Power, sin no longer has dominion over us, and we do not cling to the lie that we do not fully overcome our sins.

The same epistle of John also tells us that if we stand in the grace of God [the Living Promise] given to us in Christ, we cannot sin and we do overcome.

1Jn 3:9  Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God. 

1Jn 5:4  For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith. 

John also writes that if we do not keep His commandments, the Spirit of Truth is not in us, and we do not yet have the Promise and are not in Him.

1Jn 2:4  He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him. 

1Jn 2:5  But whoso keepeth his word, in him verily is the love of God perfected: hereby know we that we are in him. 

1Jn 2:6  He that saith he abideth in him ought himself also so to walk, even as he walked. 

John warns us not to be deceived by the lie that we are righteous even when we do not overcome sin.  If we are still sinning after our little season, we remain of our father the devil, and have not the Spirit of Christ.  Jesus Christ does not fail to take away all sin in whom He comes.  We need to repent of our unbelief and then be baptized.  Do not be deceived.

1Jn 3:7  Little children, let no man deceive you: he that doeth righteousness is righteous, even as he is righteous. 

1Jn 3:8  He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning.  For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil. 

1Jn 3:10  In this the children of God are manifest, and the children of the devil: whosoever doeth not righteousness is not of God, neither he that loveth not his brother. [Loving brethren is obeying God]

The narrow way of reconciling all of this is to acknowledge our failings, which are sins, which disappear as we mature in faith and learn to walk in the power of the Spirit.  We never boast or claim to be without sin because we know what we are without the Spirit of the Living God leading us.  Yet to say one cannot be perfected in this age is a lie that shipwrecks the faith of many.  Perfection, which is holiness, is the very reason the Lord comes.

We still abide in a flesh body that has sin in its members, but now we have the power of God working in us.  We struggle and groan, yet we still overcome because Christ, the Lord of the universe, is stronger than the flesh and the devil.

Rom 8:23  And not only they, but ourselves also, which have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for the adoption, to wit, the redemption of our body. 

Perfection Comes on the Third Day

This prophecy is not a maybe; it is a promise that the Lord is faithful to perform for all those given the gift of faith.

Luk 13:32  And he said unto them, Go ye, and tell that fox, Behold, I cast out devils, and I do cures to day and to morrow, and the third day I shall be perfected 

Following Christ means striving to be perfect and holy in all our behavior. Anything less than that is a lame sacrifice not acceptable to God, and we remain blind and lead ourselves and those who follow us into a ditch.  We need to be perfect, as our Master in heaven is perfect and guides us to be.

Luk 6:39  And he spake a parable unto them, Can the blind lead the blind?  shall they not both fall into the ditch? 

Luk 6:40  The disciple is not above his master: but every one that is perfect shall be as his master. 

If we continue in sin, we are not following the Lord or walking in the Spirit.

Through the blood of the everlasting covenant, the great shepherd of the sheep, the Living Lord Jesus, is making us perfect in all ways.  He finishes this work before our race in these clay vessels ends.  Do not let anyone steal your crown as you run this race with endurance.

Heb 13:20  Now the God of peace, that brought again from the dead our Lord Jesus, that great shepherd of the sheep, through the blood of the everlasting covenant, 

Heb 13:21  Make you perfect in every good work to do his will, working in you that which is wellpleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ; to whom be glory for ever and ever.  Amen.

How do we become Perfect?

We must let go of our false glory [the shadow] and the spiritual riches we have accumulated over many years of seeking God.  This is difficult, and few are made willing to make this deal with the Lord.  The parable of the rich young ruler gives the lesson.

Mat 19:21  Jesus said unto him, If thou wilt be perfect, go and sell that thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come and follow me.

Mat 19:22  But when the young man heard that saying, he went away sorrowful: for he had great possessions.

To follow Christ, all the past glory and religious experiences we hold dear need to be let go, as they are just the shadow of the truth.  The shadow of Christ, the law, has some glory, yet is only a temporary schoolmaster to hold us until the Living Christ, the Promise, comes.   Many who hear the true Christ, which is the Gospel and the Promise,  cannot let go of these riches, thinking they need nothing, not knowing they need the Promise.

Mat 19:23  Then Jesus said to His disciples, “Assuredly, I say to you that it is hard for a rich man to enter the kingdom of heaven. 

Mat 19:24  And again I say to you, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God.”

A rich young ruler is under the spell of the false prophet who lives in them until the Promise comes and burns that spirit up in the fire.  Our inward beast and false prophet are tossed into the lake of fire when Christ comes the second time for salvation apart from sin.  [See Rev 19:20]

The one thing the rich young ruler lacks is the Promise, which is the faith of Jesus Christ.  Sadly, he was unwilling to give up his possessions [the spiritual riches] to follow the Lord in Spirit and Power.  Conversely, Paul was willing to sell all his possessions to follow Christ and immediately saw all those prior religious experiences of glory and spiritual riches as dung.

Php 3:7  But what things were gain to me, those I counted loss for Christ. 

We attain the fullness of our crown when we depart the clay, so we always walk pressing toward the mark for the prize of the high calling, which is the crown of righteousness and glory we receive when we finish the race.

Php 3:12  Not as though I had already attained, either were already perfect: but I follow after, if that I may apprehend that for which also I am apprehended of Christ Jesus. 

Php 3:14  I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus. 

Php 3:15  Let us therefore, as many as be perfect, be thus minded: and if in any thing ye be otherwise minded, God shall reveal even this unto you. 

Php 3:16  Nevertheless, whereto we have already attained, let us walk by the same rule, let us mind the same thing. [being perfect in all]

When Christ comes in power, all our past glory and spiritual riches instantly become dung.  It is why, for example, we have taken down scores of older studies written in the dead letter and not with the power of the Gospel.  None of our prior walk or work was in the power of the resurrected Jesus Christ within us.  When brethren believe they are already rich and lack nothing, the Promise is not needed, and the asking price is too high.  Remaining in the letter of Christ and not the power, there is little overcoming, and one does not seek the very thing they desperately need.  The Living Christ remains far off.  The Lord must bring us to the point of selling all those spiritual riches to buy the pearl of the Living Gospel.

Denying the Resurrection

Believing one cannot completely overcome sin is saying Christ is not raised from the dead inside of them.  This belief denies the resurrection and thus proves that Christ is not now in them.  All Scripture is written in parables to have one think outwardly instead of in the Spirit, meaning “within you”.

1Co 15:12  Now if Christ be preached that he rose from the dead, how say some among you that there is no resurrection of the dead?  [within you]

1Co 15:13  But if there be no resurrection of the dead, then Christ is not risen:[within you]

1Co 15:14  And if Christ not be risen [within you], then is our preaching vain, and your faith is also vain.

If we continue in sin, it’s a litmus test that Christ has not yet risen in us.

1Co 15:16  For if the dead do not rise, then Christ is not risen:

1Co 15:17  And if Christ be not raised [within you], your faith is vain; ye are yet in your sins.

Thankfully, the Lord is the Saviour and His Word and Promises are true.    We are witnesses of His resurrection within us, and we hope for this blessing to come to all the brethren.

1Co 15:21  For since by man came death, by man came also the resurrection of the dead.

1Co 15:22  For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive.

1Co 15:23  But every man in his own order: Christ the firstfruits; afterward they that are Christ’s at his coming.

Victory Through Christ

Today is the day of salvation if one has received the Promise.  Today is the third day, the day of the Lord, once the Promise comes.  It is not past, it is not in the future, it is TODAY.   We do not receive the grace of God in vain.

2Co 6:1  We then, as workers together with him, beseech you also that ye receive not the grace of God in vain. 

2Co 6:2  For he saith, I have heard thee in a time accepted, and in the day of salvation have I succoured thee: behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation. 

Paul’s showing us the mystery below does not speak of the end of the physical age, as we all once believed.  The mystery is Christ coming for salvation now, in this age, with His Promise while we are in clay bodies.  In the twinkling of an eye, He is raised within us, and everything changes.  We are a new creation immediately and no longer know Jesus Christ in the flesh.

1Co 15:50  Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption.

1Co 15:51  Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed,

1Co 15:52  In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.

1Co 15:53  For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.

1Co 15:54  So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory.

Once raised with Christ, death is no longer applicable.  Those who receive the Promise have been resurrected from the dead with Jesus Christ.  We shall never taste death, as we have been resurrected unto eternal life.

Mat 16:28  Verily I say unto you, There be some standing here, which shall not taste of death, till they see the Son of man coming in his kingdom. 

If we are God’s elect, we are perfected on the third day, our day of the Lord, and are given dominion over sin.  We are ruling and reigning with Christ RIGHT NOW and have become His kings and priests on the earth.  We reign for a thousand years, one day to the Lord, and wait for the rest of the dead, representing all humanity, to be raised in the age to come.  The chosen few are the blessed, receiving the first resurrection now, so we, in turn, can be used to bring the blessing to others in the lake of fire.

Rev 20:5  But the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished.  This is the first resurrection.

Rev 20:6  Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years.[today, which is our third day]

Given the Spirit of Promise, we now reside in the Lord’s courts and become doorkeepers in the house of God.  A far better place to be than to dwell in the tents of wickedness, who are all men who have not the Spirit of the Living God dwelling in them. [See Psa 84:10].

Living in John’s baptism, while we tarry, we abide in hope and our faith and wait for the Promise that comes with the power unto salvation.

1Jn 2:28  And now, little children, abide in him; that, when he shall appear, we may have confidence, and not be ashamed before him at his coming. 

1Jn 2:29  If ye know that he is righteous, ye know that every one that doeth righteousness is born of him. 

We recently studied Pentecost coming to the Church at Ephesus in Acts 19. Those disciples were quickened and raised from the dead, receiving the Baptism of Christ. Paul writes to them in the past tense of their old way of life before the Promise came, which has now given them overcoming. They have been quickened and raised out of their sins into life in the Spirit.

Eph 2:1  And you hath he quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins; 

Eph 2:2  Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience: 

Eph 2:3  Among whom also we all had our conversation in times past in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind; and were by nature the children of wrath, even as others. 

Eph 2:5  Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;) 

Eph 2:6  And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus:

Once raised by the Promise coming, we are God’s elect walking in power.  The Holy Spirit cleans us and causes us to obey the commandments.

1Pe 1:2  Elect according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, through sanctification of the Spirit, unto obedience and sprinkling of the blood of Jesus Christ: Grace unto you, and peace, be multiplied. 

We run our race with endurance.  Yes, there are falls at the start as we learn to walk worthy of our calling and election into the grace of the living God.  The young in the faith are exhorted to resist and strive until Christ is fully formed in them.  That is the role of the Body to wash feet, comfort, admonish, and exhort the young onwards to maturity.  The chastening of our Father works the work of righteousness.  He does not fail to bring total salvation and loses no sheep.

Beware antichrists in the World

We do not yet know the Lord; if we claim one cannot be perfected in this life, our faith is unbelief in the Promise of God.  Such are the deceived and deceivers, the antichrists who deny that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh.

1Jn 4:2  Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God: 

1Jn 4:3  And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world. 

Denying Christ has come in the flesh is spiritual language, meaning one denies the power of God in their flesh to give them overcoming and complete salvation from sin.  We try to persuade our brethren caught up in this lie to repent with one or two admonitions.  If they do not repent, we sin ourselves if we continue to eat and assemble with them.  We cannot let anyone fleece and devour the flock the Lord has set before us.

2Jn 1:7  For many deceivers are entered into the world, who confess not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh.  This is a deceiver and an antichrist. 

2Jn 1:8  Look to yourselves, that we lose not those things which we have wrought, but that we receive a full reward. 

2Jn 1:9  Whosoever transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God.  He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son. 

2Jn 1:10  If there come any unto you, and bring not this doctrine, receive him not into your house, neither bid him God speed: 

2Jn 1:11  For he that biddeth him God speed is partaker of his evil deeds.

We do not wish this on anyone, but we must obey God and not men, having no respect of persons.  The way is narrow, and very few are given to find it.

Strive to be perfect until the race is over.  The Lord does not fail to perform what has been Promised.  Be ye holy because your Father in heaven is Holy.

 The Commandments Part 1 – From the Gospels

Mat 5:1  Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven. 

Joh 14:15 If ye love me, keep my commandments. 

Joh 14:21 He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him. 

Herewith the Commandments of our Lord, Jesus Christ, as it is written in the four Gospels, not necessarily in any order, some overlapping. The Commandments given in the parables are not covered except when a parable is specifically mentioned. Also, this is an attempt to summarize the Commands. Please read the Scriptures quoted to understand the Sum of the Word.

Many asked what the Commandments of Christ are, and it is our prayer that after reading this letter, we recognise the Words of Life, saving our souls, the power of an endless life.

The Two Great Commandments & A New Commandment

The Command in John 13:34-35 makes the two great Commandments perfect. This New Commandment is to love one another as Christ loved us, laying our lives down for each other, keeping His Commandments. Christ fulfilled the Law and the Prophets, making it perfect.

Mat 22:36  Master, which is the great commandment in the law? 

Mat 22:37  Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. 

Mat 22:38  This is the first and great commandment. 

Mat 22:39  And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. 

Mat 22:40  On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets. 

Joh 13:34  A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another. 

Joh 13:35  By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another. 

Be Poor in Spirit: 

Poor in Spirit means to receive the Gospel, the Living Commandments, in meekness.

Mat 5:3  Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. 

Luk 6:20  And he lifted up his eyes on his disciples, and said, Blessed be ye poor: for yours is the kingdom of God. 

Mourn for Righteousness:

This is yearning for overcoming and obedience to the Commandments.

Mat 5:4  Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted. 

Be Meek/Gentle: 

To be submissive to the Lord and His Commandments.

Mat 5:5  Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth. 

Be Hungry and Thirsty for Christ’s Righteousness

An indwelling desire to seek the things of God.

Mat 5:6  Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled. 

Luk 6:21  Blessed are ye that hunger now: for ye shall be filled. Blessed are ye that weep now: for ye shall laugh. 

Be Merciful

To show mercy means to open blind eyes and deaf ears.

Mat 5:7  Blessed are the merciful: for they shall obtain mercy. 

Be Pure

The pure in heart have Christ’s Gospel. That is their doctrine.

Mat 5:8  Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God. 

Be a Peacemaker

A peacemaker is willing to yield and bow to the Lord’s ways.

Mat 5:9  Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God.

Rejoice when Persecuted for the Gospel

When persecuted for Christ’s name, it signifies God’s provision over our lives.

Mat 5:10  Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness’ sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

Mat 5:11  Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake.

Mat 5:12  Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you.

Luk 6:22  Blessed are ye, when men shall hate you, and when they shall separate you from their company, and shall reproach you, and cast out your name as evil, for the Son of man’s sake.

Luk 6:23  Rejoice ye in that day, and leap for joy: for, behold, your reward is great in heaven: for in the like manner did their fathers unto the prophets.

Have Salt in Yourselves

Speaking and living the Commandments is the salt we need to have.

Mat 5:13  Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost his savour, wherewith shall it be salted? It is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men.

Mar 9:49  For every one shall be salted with fire, and every sacrifice shall be salted with salt.

Mar 9:50  Salt is good: but if the salt have lost his saltness, wherewith will ye season it? Have salt in yourselves, and have peace one with another.

Let your Light so shine before Men

Walking the talk and showing others Christ in us.

Mat 5:16  Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.

Mat 6:22  The light of the body is the eye: if therefore thine eye be single, thy whole body shall be full of light.

Mat 6:23  But if thine eye be evil, thy whole body shall be full of darkness. If therefore the light that is in thee be darkness, how great is that darkness!

Luk 11:34  The light of the body is the eye: therefore when thine eye is single, thy whole body also is full of light; but when thine eye is evil, thy body also is full of darkness.

Luk 11:35  Take heed therefore that the light which is in thee be not darkness.

Do not be angry without a Cause

Because the Lord works all things to the counsel of His will, read Matt 5:21-24.

Mat 5:22  But I say unto you, That whosoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment: and whosoever shall say to his brother, Raca, shall be in danger of the council: but whosoever shall say, Thou fool, shall be in danger of hell fire.

Mat 5:23  Therefore if thou bring thy gift to the altar, and there rememberest that thy brother hath ought against thee;

Mat 5:24  Leave there thy gift before the altar, and go thy way; first be reconciled to thy brother, and then come and offer thy gift.

Do not Swear

Let your yes be yes and your no be no, read Matt 5:33-37.

Mat 5:34  But I say unto you, Swear not at all; neither by heaven; for it is God’s throne:

Mat 5:35  Nor by the earth; for it is his footstool: neither by Jerusalem; for it is the city of the great King.

Mat 5:36  Neither shalt thou swear by thy head, because thou canst not make one hair white or black.

Mat 5:37  But let your communication be, Yea, yea; Nay, nay: for whatsoever is more than these cometh of evil.

Do not resist Evil

The Lord works all things, and His ways are higher than our ways, read Matt 5:38-40.

Mat 5:39  But I say unto you, That ye resist not evil: but whosoever shall smite thee on thy right cheek, turn to him the other also.

Mat 5:40  And if any man will sue thee at the law, and take away thy coat, let him have thy cloke also.

Go two Miles

Do more than what is expected.

Mat 5:41  And whosoever shall compel thee to go a mile, go with him twain.

Give to him that Ask of You

Give spiritually and physically, do not reason with your carnal mind.

Mat 5:42  Give to him that asketh thee, and from him that would borrow of thee turn not thou away.

Luk 6:30 Give to every man that asketh of thee; and of him that taketh away thy goods ask them not again.

Luk 6:38  Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again.

Love your Enemies, be Merciful

We feed our enemies the Gospel, the Commandments, in word and deed, read Matt 5:43-48, Matt 7:7-14.

Mat 5:44  But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;

Mat 5:46  For if ye love them which love you, what reward have ye? Do not even the publicans the same?

Mat 5:47  And if ye salute your brethren only, what do ye more than others? Do not even the publicans so?

Mat 7:12  Therefore all things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them: for this is the law and the prophets.

Mat 7:13  Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat:

Luk 6:27  But I say unto you which hear, Love your enemies, do good to them which hate you,

Luk 6:28  Bless them that curse you, and pray for them which despitefully use you.

Luk 6:29  And unto him that smiteth thee on the one cheek offer also the other; and him that taketh away thy cloke forbid not to take thy coat also.

Luk 6:31  And as ye would that men should do to you, do ye also to them likewise.

Luk 6:32  For if ye love them which love you, what thank have ye? For sinners also love those that love them.

Luk 6:33  And if ye do good to them which do good to you, what thank have ye? For sinners also do even the same.

Luk 6:34  And if ye lend to them of whom ye hope to receive, what thank have ye? For sinners also lend to sinners, to receive as much again.

Luk 6:35  But love ye your enemies, and do good, and lend, hoping for nothing again; and your reward shall be great, and ye shall be the children of the Highest: for he is kind unto the unthankful and to the evil.

Luk 6:36  Be ye therefore merciful, as your Father also is merciful.

Lay not up Treasures upon the Earth

One cannot serve two masters; our treasure is Christ.

Mat 6:19  Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal:

Mat 6:20  But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal:

Mat 6:21 For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.

Do not strive to be Rich

Do not strive to have a lot of knowledge or to be rich in goods; rather, strive to know and obey Christ’s Commandments.

Luk 6:24  But woe unto you that are rich! For ye have received your consolation.

Luk 6:25  Woe unto you that are full! For ye shall hunger. Woe unto you that laugh now! For ye shall mourn and weep.

Woe when all Men speak well of us

The ways of Christ do not please flesh, and if all speak well of us, somewhere the mark is being missed.

Luk 6:26  Woe unto you, when all men shall speak well of you! For so did their fathers to the false prophets.

Do not be offended for Christ’s Name

Christ tells us this is to be expected, and we should be joyful when we are spoken evil of for Christ’s name.

Mat 11:6 And blessed is he, whosoever shall not be offended in me.

Luk 7:23 And blessed is he, whosoever shall not be offended in me.

Do not Judge

When you judge, judge like Christ according to His Word and do not judge according to your own reasoning, read John 7:19-24, John 8:3-11, John 8:3-18.

Mat 7:1  Judge not, that ye be not judged.

Mat 7:2  For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again.

Mat 7:3  And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother’s eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye?

Mat 7:4  Or how wilt thou say to thy brother, Let me pull out the mote out of thine eye; and, behold, a beam is in thine own eye?

Mat 7:5 Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother’s eye.

Luk 6:37  Judge not, and ye shall not be judged: condemn not, and ye shall not be condemned: forgive, and ye shall be forgiven:

Luk 6:38  Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again.

Luk 6:39  And he spake a parable unto them, Can the blind lead the blind? shall they not both fall into the ditch?

Luk 6:40  The disciple is not above his master: but every one that is perfect shall be as his master.

Luk 6:41  And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother’s eye, but perceivest not the beam that is in thine own eye?

Luk 6:42  Either how canst thou say to thy brother, Brother, let me pull out the mote that is in thine eye, when thou thyself beholdest not the beam that is in thine own eye? Thou hypocrite, cast out first the beam out of thine own eye, and then shalt thou see clearly to pull out the mote that is in thy brother’s eye.

Joh 7:24  Judge not according to the appearance, but judge righteous judgment.

Joh 8:10  When Jesus had lifted up himself, and saw none but the woman, he said unto her, Woman, where are those thine accusers? hath no man condemned thee?

Joh 8:11 She said, No man, Lord. And Jesus said unto her, Neither do I condemn thee: go, and sin no more.

Joh 8:15  Ye judge after the flesh; I judge no man.

Joh 8:16  And yet if I judge, my judgment is true: for I am not alone, but I and the Father that sent me.

Seek the Kingdom of God First

Doing the Commandments of Christ Jesus, the Lord provides a resting place, food, and clothing for us in the spiritual, read Matt 6:24-34.

Mat 6:24  No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.

Mat 6:25  Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment?

Mat 6:31  Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? Or, What shall we drink? Or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed?

Mat 6:32  (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things.

Mat 6:33  But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

Mat 6:34  Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.

Luk 12:22  And he said unto his disciples, Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat; neither for the body, what ye shall put on.

Luk 12:28  If then God so clothe the grass, which is to day in the field, and to morrow is cast into the oven; how much more will he clothe you, O ye of little faith?

Luk 12:29  And seek not ye what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink, neither be ye of doubtful mind.

Luk 12:30  For all these things do the nations of the world seek after: and your Father knoweth that ye have need of these things.

Luk 12:31  But rather seek ye the kingdom of God; and all these things shall be added unto you.

Luk 12:32  Fear not, little flock; for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom.

Luk 12:33  Sell that ye have, and give alms; provide yourselves bags which wax not old, a treasure in the heavens that faileth not, where no thief approacheth, neither moth corrupteth.

Repent

Repent, make a U turn, have a renewing mindset, only the Commandments of Christ give us new hearts. Sins are carnal thoughts coming from our carnal minds. Doing the Commandments changes us inside out. Believe Him and make a U turn, read Mark 8:34-38, Luk 13:1-5, John 5:5-14.

Mar 1:15  And saying, The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel.

Mar 8:34  And when he had called the people unto him with his disciples also, he said unto them, Whosoever will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.

Mar 8:35  For whosoever will save his life shall lose it; but whosoever shall lose his life for my sake and the gospel’s, the same shall save it.

Luk 13:2  And Jesus answering said unto them, Suppose ye that these Galilaeans were sinners above all the Galilaeans, because they suffered such things?

Luk 13:3  I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish.

Luk 13:4  Or those eighteen, upon whom the tower in Siloam fell, and slew them, think ye that they were sinners above all men that dwelt in Jerusalem?

Luk 13:5  I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish.

Joh 5:14  Afterward Jesus findeth him in the temple, and said unto him, Behold, thou art made whole: sin no more, lest a worse thing come unto thee.

Follow Me/Come to me/Believe Me

We follow after Christ when we believe that His Commandments save us. That is to believe like a child without reasoning within ourselves. Spiritually, we deny ourselves [carnal reasoning], laying our lives down, loving our fathers, mothers, wives, children, and sisters less symbolically [loving our carnal reasoning less]. We have to pay the price of following Christ. Peter walking on water had to believe in Christ; that is, to have the faith of Christ, to have Christ’s Commandments, otherwise, he was sinking, going down into the sea, which symbolizes false doctrines, read Matt 14:22-33.

Mat 4:19  And he saith unto them, Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men.

Mat 9:9  And as Jesus passed forth from thence, he saw a man, named Matthew, sitting at the receipt of custom: and he saith unto him, Follow me. And he arose, and followed him.

Mat 11:28  Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.

Mat 11:29  Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.

Mat 11:30  For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.

Mat 14:28  And Peter answered him and said, Lord, if it be thou, bid me come unto thee on the water.

Mat 14:29  And he said, Come. And when Peter was come down out of the ship, he walked on the water, to go to Jesus.

Mat 14:30  But when he saw the wind boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink, he cried, saying, Lord, save me.

Mat 14:31 And immediately Jesus stretched forth his hand, and caught him, and said unto him, O thou of little faith, wherefore didst thou doubt?

Mat 16:24  Then said Jesus unto his disciples, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.

Mat 16:25  For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: and whosoever will lose his life for my sake shall find it.

Mat 16:26 For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?

Mar 1:17  And Jesus said unto them, Come ye after me, and I will make you to become fishers of men.

Mar 2:14  And as he passed by, he saw Levi the son of Alphaeus sitting at the receipt of custom, and said unto him, Follow me. And he arose and followed him.

Luk 5:27  And after these things he went forth, and saw a publican, named Levi, sitting at the receipt of custom: and he said unto him, Follow me.

Luk 9:59  And he said unto another, Follow me. But he said, Lord, suffer me first to go and bury my father.

Luk 9:60  Jesus said unto him, Let the dead bury their dead: but go thou and preach the kingdom of God.

Luk 9:61  And another also said, Lord, I will follow thee; but let me first go bid them farewell, which are at home at my house.

Luk 9:62  And Jesus said unto him, No man, having put his hand to the plough, and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God.

Luk 14:26  If any man come to me, and hate not his father, and mother, and wife, and children, and brethren, and sisters, yea, and his own life also, he cannot be my disciple.

Luk 14:27  And whosoever doth not bear his cross, and come after me, cannot be my disciple.

Luk 14:28  For which of you, intending to build a tower, sitteth not down first, and counteth the cost, whether he have sufficient to finish it?

Luk 14:29  Lest haply, after he hath laid the foundation, and is not able to finish it, all that behold it begin to mock him,

Luk 14:30  Saying, This man began to build, and was not able to finish.

Luk 14:31  Or what king, going to make war against another king, sitteth not down first, and consulteth whether he be able with ten thousand to meet him that cometh against him with twenty thousand?

Luk 14:32 Or else, while the other is yet a great way off, he sendeth an ambassage, and desireth conditions of peace.

Luk 14:33  So likewise, whosoever he be of you that forsaketh not all that he hath, he cannot be my disciple.

Joh 1:43  The day following Jesus would go forth into Galilee, and findeth Philip, and saith unto him, Follow me.

Joh 7:37  In the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried, saying, If any man thirst, let him come unto me, and drink.

Joh 7:38  He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water.

Joh 7:39 (But this spake he of the Spirit, which they that believe on him should receive: for the Holy Ghost was not yet given; because that Jesus was not yet glorified.)

Do not tempt God

Do not argue with God, do not talk back, do not use carnal logic, receive the Word with meekness, and fear. Believe, read Luk 4:1-13.

Mat 4:1  Then was Jesus led up of the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted of the devil.

Mat 4:2  And when he had fasted forty days and forty nights, he was afterward an hungred.

Mat 4:3  And when the tempter came to him, he said, If thou be the Son of God, command that these stones be made bread.

Mat 4:4  But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.

Mat 4:5  Then the devil taketh him up into the holy city, and setteth him on a pinnacle of the temple,

Mat 4:6  And saith unto him, If thou be the Son of God, cast thyself down: for it is written, He shall give his angels charge concerning thee: and in their hands they shall bear thee up, lest at any time thou dash thy foot against a stone.

Mat 4:7  Jesus said unto him, It is written again, Thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God.

Mat 4:8  Again, the devil taketh him up into an exceeding high mountain, and sheweth him all the kingdoms of the world, and the glory of them;

Mat 4:9  And saith unto him, All these things will I give thee, if thou wilt fall down and worship me.

Mat 4:10  Then saith Jesus unto him, Get thee hence, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve.

Pray/Forgive

Praying, lifting up hands everywhere, is the way we lead our lives in obedience to God and Christ. To pray is to forgive symbolically. It is to lay our lives down. We ask and pray for the Holy Spirit, the Comforter, who gives dominion over sin. We have to be patient, ask for our daily Bread, which are the Commandments of Christ.

Mat 6:5 And when thou prayest, thou shalt not be as the hypocrites are: for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward.

Mat 6:6  But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly.

Mat 6:7  But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking.

Mat 6:8 Be not ye therefore like unto them: for your Father knoweth what things ye have need of, before ye ask him.

Mat 6:9  After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.

Mat 6:10  Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.

Mat 6:11  Give us this day our daily bread.

Mat 6:12  And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.

Mat 6:13  And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.

Mat 6:14  For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you:

Mat 6:15  But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.

Mat 6:17  But thou, when thou fastest, anoint thine head, and wash thy face;

Mat 6:18  That thou appear not unto men to fast, but unto thy Father which is in secret: and thy Father, which seeth in secret, shall reward thee openly.

Luk 11:2  And he said unto them, When ye pray, say, Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done, as in heaven, so in earth.

Luk 11:3  Give us day by day our daily bread.

Luk 11:4  And forgive us our sins; for we also forgive every one that is indebted to us. And lead us not into temptation; but deliver us from evil.

Luk 11:5  And he said unto them, Which of you shall have a friend, and shall go unto him at midnight, and say unto him, Friend, lend me three loaves;

Luk 11:6  For a friend of mine in his journey is come to me, and I have nothing to set before him?

Luk 11:7  And he from within shall answer and say, Trouble me not: the door is now shut, and my children are with me in bed; I cannot rise and give thee.

Luk 11:8  I say unto you, Though he will not rise and give him, because he is his friend, yet because of his importunity he will rise and give him as many as he needeth.

Luk 11:9  And I say unto you, Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you.

Luk 11:10  For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.

Luk 11:11  If a son shall ask bread of any of you that is a father, will he give him a stone? or if he ask a fish, will he for a fish give him a serpent?

Luk 11:12  Or if he shall ask an egg, will he offer him a scorpion?

Luk 11:13 If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children: how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him?

Have the Faith of Christ/Believe

When the Lord has mercy on us, He opens our eyes and ears to see and hear the Gospel. When we receive the Comforter, we begin to get dominion over sin. Overcoming these spirits within ourselves, that is, the carnal mind, is accomplished through prayer and fasting.

Mat 17:14  And when they were come to the multitude, there came to him a certain man, kneeling down to him, and saying,

Mat 17:15  Lord, have mercy on my son: for he is lunatick, and sore vexed: for ofttimes he falleth into the fire, and oft into the water.

Mat 17:16  And I brought him to thy disciples, and they could not cure him.

Mat 17:17  Then Jesus answered and said, O faithless and perverse generation, how long shall I be with you? how long shall I suffer you? bring him hither to me.

Mat 17:18  And Jesus rebuked the devil; and he departed out of him: and the child was cured from that very hour.

Mat 17:19  Then came the disciples to Jesus apart, and said, Why could not we cast him out?

Mat 17:20  And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you.

Mat 17:21  Howbeit this kind goeth not out but by prayer and fasting.

Mar 9:17  And one of the multitude answered and said, Master, I have brought unto thee my son, which hath a dumb spirit;

Mar 9:18  And wheresoever he taketh him, he teareth him: and he foameth, and gnasheth with his teeth, and pineth away: and I spake to thy disciples that they should cast him out; and they could not.

Mar 9:19  He answereth him, and saith, O faithless generation, how long shall I be with you? how long shall I suffer you? bring him unto me.

Mar 9:20  And they brought him unto him: and when he saw him, straightway the spirit tare him; and he fell on the ground, and wallowed foaming.

Mar 9:21  And he asked his father, How long is it ago since this came unto him? And he said, Of a child.

Mar 9:22  And ofttimes it hath cast him into the fire, and into the waters, to destroy him: but if thou canst do any thing, have compassion on us, and help us.

Mar 9:23  Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth.

Mar 9:24  And straightway the father of the child cried out, and said with tears, Lord, I believe; help thou mine unbelief.

Mar 9:25  When Jesus saw that the people came running together, he rebuked the foul spirit, saying unto him, Thou dumb and deaf spirit, I charge thee, come out of him, and enter no more into him.

Mar 9:26  And the spirit cried, and rent him sore, and came out of him: and he was as one dead; insomuch that many said, He is dead.

Mar 9:27  But Jesus took him by the hand, and lifted him up; and he arose.

Mar 9:28  And when he was come into the house, his disciples asked him privately, Why could not we cast him out?

Mar 9:29 And he said unto them, This kind can come forth by nothing, but by prayer and fasting.

He that is not against us is for us

Do not judge anything before its time.

Mar 9:38  And John answered him, saying, Master, we saw one casting out devils in thy name, and he followeth not us: and we forbad him, because he followeth not us.

Mar 9:39  But Jesus said, Forbid him not: for there is no man which shall do a miracle in my name, that can lightly speak evil of me.

Mar 9:40  For he that is not against us is on our part.

Mar 9:41  For whosoever shall give you a cup of water to drink in my name, because ye belong to Christ, verily I say unto you, he shall not lose his reward.

Take heed how you Hear

Listen with spiritual ears. Christ’s Words are Spirit and Life, read John 6:63.

Luk 8:16  No man, when he hath lighted a candle, covereth it with a vessel, or putteth it under a bed; but setteth it on a candlestick, that they which enter in may see the light.

Luk 8:17  For nothing is secret, that shall not be made manifest; neither any thing hid, that shall not be known and come abroad.

Luk 8:18 Take heed therefore how ye hear: for whosoever hath, to him shall be given; and whosoever hath not, from him shall be taken even that which he seemeth to have.

Caesar

We give to the governing authorities what they expect of us, for example, we pay our taxes. We owe no man anything except to love one another. Give due where due is required in this world. Caesar is a symbol for the world and its many governments, read Luk 20:20-26.

Mat 17:24  And when they were come to Capernaum, they that received tribute money came to Peter, and said, Doth not your master pay tribute?

Mat 17:25  He saith, Yes. And when he was come into the house, Jesus prevented him, saying, What thinkest thou, Simon? of whom do the kings of the earth take custom or tribute? of their own children, or of strangers?

Mat 17:26  Peter saith unto him, Of strangers. Jesus saith unto him, Then are the children free.

Mat 17:27  Notwithstanding, lest we should offend them, go thou to the sea, and cast an hook, and take up the fish that first cometh up; and when thou hast opened his mouth, thou shalt find a piece of money: that take, and give unto them for me and thee.

Mat 22:17 Tell us therefore, What thinkest thou? Is it lawful to give tribute unto Caesar, or not?

Mat 22:18  But Jesus perceived their wickedness, and said, Why tempt ye me, ye hypocrites?

Mat 22:19 Shew me the tribute money. And they brought unto him a penny.

Mat 22:20  And he saith unto them, Whose is this image and superscription?

Mat 22:21  They say unto him, Caesar’s. Then saith he unto them, Render therefore unto Caesar the things which are Caesar’s; and unto God the things that are God’s.

Luk 20:22 Is it lawful for us to give tribute unto Caesar, or no?

Luk 20:23  But he perceived their craftiness, and said unto them, Why tempt ye me?

Luk 20:24  Shew me a penny. Whose image and superscription hath it? They answered and said, Caesar’s.

Luk 20:25  And he said unto them, Render therefore unto Caesar the things which be Caesar’s, and unto God the things which be God’s.

Do not give what is Holy to the Dogs or the Swine

Dogs, spiritually speaking, are those who are of the false circumcision, meaning they have a lot of knowledge, but it is not the Truth of Christ. They are opposed to the Gospel and have itching ears for more knowledge of the Scriptures and are not rich towards Christ. We all live through our seasons of being a dog.

Mat 7:6  Give not that which is holy unto the dogs, neither cast ye your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn again and rend you.

Endure/Continue

Abide in Christ for many are called, few are chosen, and even fewer are being made faithful.

Joh 8:31  Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed;

Joh 8:32 And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.

Joh 15:1  I am the true vine, and my Father is the husbandman.

Joh 15:2  Every branch in me that beareth not fruit he taketh away: and every branch that beareth fruit, he purgeth it, that it may bring forth more fruit.

Joh 15:3 Now ye are clean through the word which I have spoken unto you.

Joh 15:4  Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me.

Joh 15:5  I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.

Joh 15:6  If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned.

Joh 15:7  If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.

Joh 15:8  Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so shall ye be my disciples.

Go and learn what this means

The Lord wants obedience rather than lip service. He will have His Law of Liberty over the Law of Moses and the Prophets. Christ fulfilled the Law and the Prophets.

Mat 9:11  And when the Pharisees saw it, they said unto his disciples, Why eateth your Master with publicans and sinners?

Mat 9:12  But when Jesus heard that, he said unto them, They that be whole need not a physician, but they that are sick.

Mat 9:13  But go ye and learn what that meaneth, I will have mercy, and not sacrifice: for I am not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.

Be Afraid of the One who destroys Body and Soul

Fear the Lord. He works all things after the Council of His own Will. Do not fear what men can do to you, read Eph 1:11.

Mat 10:22  And ye shall be hated of all men for my name’s sake: but he that endureth to the end shall be saved.

Mat 10:23 But when they persecute you in this city, flee ye into another: for verily I say unto you, Ye shall not have gone over the cities of Israel, till the Son of man be come.

Mat 10:24  The disciple is not above his master, nor the servant above his lord.

Mat 10:25  It is enough for the disciple that he be as his master, and the servant as his lord. If they have called the master of the house Beelzebub, how much more shall they call them of his household?

Mat 10:26  Fear them not therefore: for there is nothing covered, that shall not be revealed; and hid, that shall not be known.

Mat 10:27  What I tell you in darkness, that speak ye in light: and what ye hear in the ear, that preach ye upon the housetops.

Mat 10:28  And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.

Mat 10:29  Are not two sparrows sold for a farthing? and one of them shall not fall on the ground without your Father.

Luk 12:2  For there is nothing covered, that shall not be revealed; neither hid, that shall not be known.

Luk 12:3 Therefore whatsoever ye have spoken in darkness shall be heard in the light; and that which ye have spoken in the ear in closets shall be proclaimed upon the housetops.

Luk 12:4  And I say unto you my friends, Be not afraid of them that kill the body, and after that have no more that they can do.

Luk 12:5  But I will forewarn you whom ye shall fear: Fear him, which after he hath killed hath power to cast into hell; yea, I say unto you, Fear him.

Luk 12:6  Are not five sparrows sold for two farthings, and not one of them is forgotten before God?

Do not be Troubled

The true Israel of God has an incorruptible inheritance in heaven waiting for them. When the other Jesus [flesh] dies, our mourning turns into joy because then the Father sends us the Comforter in earnest, which gives us great joy and peace and Hope of Glory/obedience of what is to come, read Col 3:24, 1 Pe 1:4.

Joh 14:1  Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me.

Joh 14:2  In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.

Joh 14:3  And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.

Joh 14:27  Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.

Joh 14:28  Ye have heard how I said unto you, I go away, and come again unto you. If ye loved me, ye would rejoice, because I said, I go unto the Father: for my Father is greater than I.

Joh 15:26  But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, even the Spirit of truth, which proceedeth from the Father, he shall testify of me:

Joh 15:27  And ye also shall bear witness, because ye have been with me from the beginning.

If you Love Me keep My Commandments

This is the true love of God, because God is Love and a consuming Fire.

Mat 7:21  Not everyone that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.

Luk 6:44  For every tree is known by his own fruit. For of thorns men do not gather figs, nor of a bramble bush gather they grapes.

Luk 6:45  A good man out of the good treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is evil: for of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaketh.

Luk 6:46  And why call ye me, Lord, Lord, and do not the things which I say?

Joh 14:15  If ye love me, keep my commandments.

Joh 14:16  And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever;

Joh 14:21 He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.

Joh 14:23  Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him.

Joh 14:24  He that loveth me not keepeth not my sayings: and the word which ye hear is not mine, but the Father’s which sent me.

Joh 15:9  As the Father hath loved me, so have I loved you: continue ye in my love.

Joh 15:10  If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father’s commandments, and abide in his love.

Joh 15:11  These things have I spoken unto you, that my joy might remain in you, and that your joy might be full.

Joh 15:12  This is my commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you.

Joh 15:17  These things I command you, that ye love one another.

Settle with your Accuser Quickly

Take carnal thoughts captive quickly before they put you in a prison of carnal reasoning. The end thereof is death. Sin is lawlessness; it is the law of sin in our members. It is our carnal thoughts, going up and down in our earth.

Mat 5:25  Agree with thine adversary quickly, whiles thou art in the way with him; lest at any time the adversary deliver thee to the judge, and the judge deliver thee to the officer, and thou be cast into prison.

Luk 12:57  Yea, and why even of yourselves judge ye not what is right?

Luk 12:58  When thou goest with thine adversary to the magistrate, as thou art in the way, give diligence that thou mayest be delivered from him; lest he hale thee to the judge, and the judge deliver thee to the officer, and the officer cast thee into prison.

Luk 12:59  I tell thee, thou shalt not depart thence, till thou hast paid the very last mite.

Do not Blaspheme against the Holy Spirit

Sinning against the Holy Ghost is speaking against the Gospel, the Commandments of Christ, the Words of Christ, which are Spirit and Life.

Mat 12:31  Wherefore I say unto you, All manner of sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven unto men: but the blasphemy against the Holy Ghost shall not be forgiven unto men.

Mat 12:32  And whosoever speaketh a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him: but whosoever speaketh against the Holy Ghost, it shall not be forgiven him, neither in this world, neither in the world to come.

Mar 3:29  But he that shall blaspheme against the Holy Ghost hath never forgiveness, but is in danger of eternal damnation:

Luk 12:10  And whosoever shall speak a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him: but unto him that blasphemeth against the Holy Ghost it shall not be forgiven.

Defilement comes Out of the Heart

Taking control of our thought life and what we focus on is dominion over sin. It is the ability to bridle our tongues.

Mat 12:35  A good man out of the good treasure of the heart bringeth forth good things: and an evil man out of the evil treasure bringeth forth evil things.

Mat 12:36  But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment.

Mat 12:37  For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned.

Mat 15:17 Do not ye yet understand, that whatsoever entereth in at the mouth goeth into the belly, and is cast out into the draught?

Mat 15:18  But those things which proceed out of the mouth come forth from the heart; and they defile the man.

Mat 15:19  For out of the heart proceed evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, blasphemies:

Mat 15:20 These are the things which defile a man: but to eat with unwashen hands defileth not a man.

Mar 7:15  There is nothing from without a man, that entering into him can defile him: but the things which come out of him, those are they that defile the man.

Mar 7:18  And he saith unto them, Are ye so without understanding also? Do ye not perceive, that whatsoever thing from without entereth into the man, it cannot defile him;

Mar 7:19  Because it entereth not into his heart, but into the belly, and goeth out into the draught, purging all meats?

Mar 7:20 And he said, That which cometh out of the man, that defileth the man.

Mar 7:21  For from within, out of the heart of men, proceed evil thoughts, adulteries, fornications, murders,

Mar 7:22  Thefts, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, lasciviousness, an evil eye, blasphemy, pride, foolishness:

Beware of False Prophets

True prophets speak Truth; it comes to pass. False prophets speak lies; it does not come to pass, read Deut 18:22.

Mat 7:15  Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.

Mat 7:16  Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles?

Mat 7:17  Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit.

Mat 7:18 A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit.

Beware of the Leaven of the Pharisees & Sadducees

Beware of the doctrine of the Pharisees and the Sadducees. They say but do not do, and are hypocrites, having a form of godliness but on the inside are full of dead men’s bones. To them, being obedient always means it is in the past or in the future and never today, read Matt 23:1-39.

Mat 16:6  Then Jesus said unto them, Take heed and beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and of the Sadducees.

Mat 23:2  Saying, The scribes and the Pharisees sit in Moses’ seat:

Mat 23:3  All therefore whatsoever they bid you observe, that observe and do; but do not ye after their works: for they say, and do not.

Mat 23:8  But be not ye called Rabbi: for one is your Master, even Christ; and all ye are brethren.

Mat 23:9  And call no man your father upon the earth: for one is your Father, which is in heaven.

Mat 23:10  Neither be ye called masters: for one is your Master, even Christ.

Mat 23:11  But he that is greatest among you shall be your servant.

Luk 20:46  Beware of the scribes, which desire to walk in long robes, and love greetings in the markets, and the highest seats in the synagogues, and the chief rooms at feasts;

Beware of the Traditions of Men

Beware of the traditions that were delivered to us by our fathers. Seek Truth in the inward parts. Only the Gospel of Christ, His Commandments, can clean the inside of the cup, read Mark 7:2-13.

Mat 15:2  Why do thy disciples transgress the tradition of the elders? for they wash not their hands when they eat bread.

Mat 15:3  But he answered and said unto them, Why do ye also transgress the commandment of God by your tradition?

Mat 15:4  For God commanded, saying, Honour thy father and mother: and, He that curseth father or mother, let him die the death.

Mat 15:5  But ye say, Whosoever shall say to his father or his mother, It is a gift, by whatsoever thou mightest be profited by me;

Mat 15:6  And honour not his father or his mother, he shall be free. Thus have ye made the commandment of God of none effect by your tradition.

Mat 15:7  Ye hypocrites, well did Esaias prophesy of you, saying,

Mat 15:8  This people draweth nigh unto me with their mouth, and honoureth me with their lips; but their heart is far from me.

Mat 15:9  But in vain they do worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.

Do not do Good Deeds to be seen by Men

We are to do nothing to seek our own glory.

Mat 6:1  Take heed that ye do not your alms before men, to be seen of them: otherwise ye have no reward of your Father which is in heaven.

Mat 6:2  Therefore when thou doest thine alms, do not sound a trumpet before thee, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they may have glory of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward.

Mat 6:3  But when thou doest alms, let not thy left hand know what thy right hand doeth:

Do not be Ashamed of My Words

We do not care what others think about us; we stand for Christ and His Gospel. One cannot be a friend of the world and of Christ. You will love the one and hate the other.

Mar 8:38  Whosoever therefore shall be ashamed of me and of my words in this adulterous and sinful generation; of him also shall the Son of man be ashamed, when he cometh in the glory of his Father with the holy angels.

Luk 9:23  And he said to them all, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me.

Luk 9:24  For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: but whosoever will lose his life for my sake, the same shall save it.

Luk 9:25  For what is a man advantaged, if he gain the whole world, and lose himself, or be cast away?

Luk 9:26  For whosoever shall be ashamed of me and of my words, of him shall the Son of man be ashamed, when he shall come in his own glory, and in his Father’s, and of the holy angels.

Luk 12:8  Also I say unto you, Whosoever shall confess me before men, him shall the Son of man also confess before the angels of God:

Luk 12:9  But he that denieth me before men shall be denied before the angels of God.

Looking at a Woman/Marriage/Divorce

Fornication is to have relations without being married, in modern-day language, to have an affair.  Spiritually, it means to stray from Christ’s doctrines, which are His Commandments.

Mat 5:28  But I say unto you, That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart.

Mat 5:29  And if thy right eye offend thee, pluck it out, and cast it from thee: for it is profitable for thee that one of thy members should perish, and not that thy whole body should be cast into hell.

Mat 5:30  And if thy right hand offend thee, cut it off, and cast it from thee: for it is profitable for thee that one of thy members should perish, and not that thy whole body should be cast into hell.

Mat 5:32  But I say unto you, That whosoever shall put away his wife, saving for the cause of fornication, causeth her to commit adultery: and whosoever shall marry her that is divorced committeth adultery.

Mat 19:4  And he answered and said unto them, Have ye not read, that he which made them at the beginning made them male and female,

Mat 19:5  And said, For this cause shall a man leave father and mother, and shall cleave to his wife: and they twain shall be one flesh?

Mat 19:6  Wherefore they are no more twain, but one flesh. What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder.

Mat 19:9  And I say unto you, Whosoever shall put away his wife, except it be for fornication, and shall marry another, committeth adultery: and whoso marrieth her which is put away doth commit adultery.

Mar 10:6  But from the beginning of the creation God made them male and female.

Mar 10:7  For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and cleave to his wife;

Mar 10:8  And they twain shall be one flesh: so then they are no more twain, but one flesh.

Mar 10:9  What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder.

Mar 10:10  And in the house his disciples asked him again of the same matter.

Mar 10:11  And he saith unto them, Whosoever shall put away his wife, and marry another, committeth adultery against her.

Mar 10:12  And if a woman shall put away her husband, and be married to another, she committeth adultery.

If Our Brother trespasses against You

Resist the temptation to discuss it with others; go to your brother directly.

Mat 18:15  Moreover if thy brother shall trespass against thee, go and tell him his fault between thee and him alone: if he shall hear thee, thou hast gained thy brother.

Mat 18:16  But if he will not hear thee, then take with thee one or two more, that in the mouth of two or three witnesses every word may be established.

Mat 18:17  And if he shall neglect to hear them, tell it unto the church: but if he neglect to hear the church, let him be unto thee as an heathen man and a publican.

Mat 18:21  Then came Peter to him, and said, Lord, how oft shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? till seven times?

Mat 18:22  Jesus saith unto him, I say not unto thee, Until seven times: but, Until seventy times seven.

Mat 18:35  So likewise shall my heavenly Father do also unto you, if ye from your hearts forgive not every one his brother their trespasses.

Luk 17:3  Take heed to yourselves: If thy brother trespass against thee, rebuke him; and if he repent, forgive him.

Luk 17:4  And if he trespass against thee seven times in a day, and seven times in a day turn again to thee, saying, I repent; thou shalt forgive him.

Be Thankful

Be thankful and rejoice because the Lord is giving us His Faith. The Father and Christ open our blind eyes and deaf ears when they show us mercy, read Luk 17:12-19.

Luk 17:15  And one of them, when he saw that he was healed, turned back, and with a loud voice glorified God,

Luk 17:16  And fell down on his face at his feet, giving him thanks: and he was a Samaritan.

Luk 17:17  And Jesus answering said, Were there not ten cleansed? but where are the nine?

Luk 17:18  There are not found that returned to give glory to God, save this stranger.

Luk 17:19  And he said unto him, Arise, go thy way: thy faith hath made thee whole.

Luk 17:18  There are not found that returned to give glory to God, save this stranger.

Luk 17:19  And he said unto him, Arise, go thy way: thy faith hath made thee whole.

Have Mercy

This is a parable. Showing mercy means to open eyes and ears to see and hear the Gospel of Christ Jesus.

Luk 10:29  But he, willing to justify himself, said unto Jesus, And who is my neighbour?

Luk 10:30  And Jesus answering said, A certain man went down from Jerusalem to Jericho, and fell among thieves, which stripped him of his raiment, and wounded him, and departed, leaving him half dead.

Luk 10:31  And by chance there came down a certain priest that way: and when he saw him, he passed by on the other side.

Luk 10:32  And likewise a Levite, when he was at the place, came and looked on him, and passed by on the other side.

Luk 10:33  But a certain Samaritan, as he journeyed, came where he was: and when he saw him, he had compassion on him,

Luk 10:34  And went to him, and bound up his wounds, pouring in oil and wine, and set him on his own beast, and brought him to an inn, and took care of him.

Luk 10:35  And on the morrow when he departed, he took out two pence, and gave them to the host, and said unto him, Take care of him; and whatsoever thou spendest more, when I come again, I will repay thee.

Luk 10:36  Which now of these three, thinkest thou, was neighbour unto him that fell among the thieves?

Luk 10:37  And he said, He that shewed mercy on him. Then said Jesus unto him, Go, and do thou likewise.

Do not Covet

To covet is to want more and more riches in knowledge without being obedient to Christ and His Commandments. It cuts both ways in the physical and in the spiritual.  This is cankered gold and silver and not the true riches. Do not deny Christ, or He will deny you, read Mark 10:17-23, Luk 18:19-30, Luk 19:45-48.

Mat 19:17  And he said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God: but if thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments.

Mat 19:18  He saith unto him, Which? Jesus said, Thou shalt do no murder, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness,

Mat 19:19  Honour thy father and thy mother: and, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.

Mat 19:20  The young man saith unto him, All these things have I kept from my youth up: what lack I yet?

Mat 19:21  Jesus said unto him, If thou wilt be perfect, go and sell that thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come and follow me.

Mat 19:22  But when the young man heard that saying, he went away sorrowful: for he had great possessions.

Mat 19:23  Then said Jesus unto his disciples, Verily I say unto you, That a rich man shall hardly enter into the kingdom of heaven.

Mat 19:24  And again I say unto you, It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God.

Mar 10:23  And Jesus looked round about, and saith unto his disciples, How hardly shall they that have riches enter into the kingdom of God!

Luk 12:15  And he said unto them, Take heed, and beware of covetousness: for a man’s life consisteth not in the abundance of the things which he possesseth.

Luk 12:16  And he spake a parable unto them, saying, The ground of a certain rich man brought forth plentifully:

Luk 12:17  And he thought within himself, saying, What shall I do, because I have no room where to bestow my fruits?

Luk 12:18  And he said, This will I do: I will pull down my barns, and build greater; and there will I bestow all my fruits and my goods.

Luk 12:19  And I will say to my soul, Soul, thou hast much goods laid up for many years; take thine ease, eat, drink, and be merry.

Luk 12:20  But God said unto him, Thou fool, this night thy soul shall be required of thee: then whose shall those things be, which thou hast provided?

Luk 12:21 So is he that layeth up treasure for himself, and is not rich toward God.

Mat 21:12  And Jesus went into the temple of God, and cast out all them that sold and bought in the temple, and overthrew the tables of the moneychangers, and the seats of them that sold doves,

Mat 21:13 And said unto them, It is written, My house shall be called the house of prayer; but ye have made it a den of thieves.

Mar 11:15  And they come to Jerusalem: and Jesus went into the temple, and began to cast out them that sold and bought in the temple, and overthrew the tables of the moneychangers, and the seats of them that sold doves;

Mar 11:16  And would not suffer that any man should carry any vessel through the temple.

Mar 11:17 And he taught, saying unto them, Is it not written, My house shall be called of all nations the house of prayer? but ye have made it a den of thieves.

The Greatest is the Servant of All

The greatest of us are the ones serving, washing our brothers’ feet with the Word as we come together, preaching the Gospel. The Lord hates the proud but lifts the humble up, read the parable of the Pharisee and the publican, Luk 18:10-14.

Mat 20:25  But Jesus called them unto him, and said, Ye know that the princes of the Gentiles exercise dominion over them, and they that are great exercise authority upon them.

Mat 20:26  But it shall not be so among you: but whosoever will be great among you, let him be your minister;

Mat 20:27  And whosoever will be chief among you, let him be your servant:

Mar 9:33  And he came to Capernaum: and being in the house he asked them, What was it that ye disputed among yourselves by the way?

Mar 9:34  But they held their peace: for by the way they had disputed among themselves, who should be the greatest.

Mar 9:35  And he sat down, and called the twelve, and saith unto them, If any man desire to be first, the same shall be last of all, and servant of all.

Mar 9:36  And he took a child, and set him in the midst of them: and when he had taken him in his arms, he said unto them,

Mar 9:37  Whosoever shall receive one of such children in my name, receiveth me: and whosoever shall receive me, receiveth not me, but him that sent me.

Mar 10:42  But Jesus called them to him, and saith unto them, Ye know that they which are accounted to rule over the Gentiles exercise lordship over them; and their great ones exercise authority upon them.

Mar 10:43  But so shall it not be among you: but whosoever will be great among you, shall be your minister:

Mar 10:44  And whosoever of you will be the chiefest, shall be servant of all.

Luk 14:8  When thou art bidden of any man to a wedding, sit not down in the highest room; lest a more honourable man than thou be bidden of him;

Luk 14:9  And he that bade thee and him come and say to thee, Give this man place; and thou begin with shame to take the lowest room.

Luk 14:10  But when thou art bidden, go and sit down in the lowest room; that when he that bade thee cometh, he may say unto thee, Friend, go up higher: then shalt thou have worship in the presence of them that sit at meat with thee.

Luk 14:11  For whosoever exalteth himself shall be abased; and he that humbleth himself shall be exalted.

Luk 18:13  And the publican, standing afar off, would not lift up so much as his eyes unto heaven, but smote upon his breast, saying, God be merciful to me a sinner.

Luk 18:14  I tell you, this man went down to his house justified rather than the other: for every one that exalteth himself shall be abased; and he that humbleth himself shall be exalted.

Luk 22:25  And he said unto them, The kings of the Gentiles exercise lordship over them; and they that exercise authority upon them are called benefactors.

Luk 22:26  But ye shall not be so: but he that is greatest among you, let him be as the younger; and he that is chief, as he that doth serve.

Luk 22:27  For whether is greater, he that sitteth at meat, or he that serveth? is not he that sitteth at meat? but I am among you as he that serveth.

Joh 13:12  So after he had washed their feet, and had taken his garments, and was set down again, he said unto them, Know ye what I have done to you?

Joh 13:13  Ye call me Master and Lord: and ye say well; for so I am.

Joh 13:14  If I then, your Lord and Master, have washed your feet; ye also ought to wash one another’s feet.

Joh 13:15  For I have given you an example, that ye should do as I have done to you.

Joh 13:16  Verily, verily, I say unto you, The servant is not greater than his lord; neither he that is sent greater than he that sent him.

Joh 13:17 If ye know these things, happy are ye if ye do them.

Have Faith

When we are obedient, we have boldness to ask, knowing we will receive according to His will.

Mar 11:22  And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God.

Mar 11:23  For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.

Mar 11:24  Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.

Mar 11:25  And when ye stand praying, forgive, if ye have ought against any: that your Father also which is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses.

Mar 11:26  But if ye do not forgive, neither will your Father which is in heaven forgive your trespasses.

Labour for the true Meat and Bread

The true meat and bread is the Gospel, the Commandments, read John 6:27-59.

Joh 6:27  Labour not for the meat which perisheth, but for that meat which endureth unto everlasting life, which the Son of man shall give unto you: for him hath God the Father sealed.

Joh 6:28  Then said they unto him, What shall we do, that we might work the works of God?

Joh 6:29  Jesus answered and said unto them, This is the work of God, that ye believe on him whom he hath sent.

Joh 4:34  Jesus saith unto them, My meat is to do the will of him that sent me, and to finish his work.

Joh 6:34  Then said they unto him, Lord, evermore give us this bread.

Joh 6:35  And Jesus said unto them, I am the bread of life: he that cometh to me shall never hunger; and he that believeth on me shall never thirst.

The Lord’s Supper/When We Come Together as the Church of God

When we assemble together, we hear and do the Commandments of Christ, that is, to eat His flesh and drink His blood. The Lord’s Words are spiritual [John 6:63]. We take His Commandments to heart and walk them out, Lord willing, as He gives the overcoming. We do not do this unworthily and tarry for each other, read Matt 26:19-29, Mark 14:13-25, Luk 22:14-23, John 6:48-59.

A Parable to Preach the Gospel

A Parable to preach the Gospel and depart when you are not heard. We preach the Gospel to all who ask of us and hear us, read Mark 6:7-13, Luk 9:1-6, Luk 10:1-12.

Mar 6:8  And commanded them that they should take nothing for their journey, save a staff only; no scrip, no bread, no money in their purse:

Mar 6:9  But be shod with sandals; and not put on two coats.

Mar 6:10  And he said unto them, In what place soever ye enter into an house, there abide till ye depart from that place.

Mar 6:11 And whosoever shall not receive you, nor hear you, when ye depart thence, shake off the dust under your feet for a testimony against them. Verily I say unto you, It shall be more tolerable for Sodom and Gomorrha in the day of judgment, than for that city.

Luk 9:3  And he said unto them, Take nothing for your journey, neither staves, nor scrip, neither bread, neither money; neither have two coats apiece.

Luk 9:4  And whatsoever house ye enter into, there abide, and thence depart.

Luk 9:5  And whosoever will not receive you, when ye go out of that city, shake off the very dust from your feet for a testimony against them.

Luk 10:3  Go your ways: behold, I send you forth as lambs among wolves.

Luk 10:4  Carry neither purse, nor scrip, nor shoes: and salute no man by the way.

Luk 10:5  And into whatsoever house ye enter, first say, Peace be to this house.

Luk 10:6  And if the son of peace be there, your peace shall rest upon it: if not, it shall turn to you again.

Luk 10:7  And in the same house remain, eating and drinking such things as they give: for the labourer is worthy of his hire. Go not from house to house.

Luk 10:8  And into whatsoever city ye enter, and they receive you, eat such things as are set before you:

Luk 10:9  And heal the sick that are therein, and say unto them, The kingdom of God is come nigh unto you.

Luk 10:10  But into whatsoever city ye enter, and they receive you not, go your ways out into the streets of the same, and say,

Luk 10:11  Even the very dust of your city, which cleaveth on us, we do wipe off against you: notwithstanding be ye sure of this, that the kingdom of God is come nigh unto you.

When you make a Feast

Christ tells us to invite the poor, the lame, and the blind to the feast, where we feast in His Word. The poor, lame, and blind in Spirit are the ones not puffed up with knowledge, but those who receive Him with meekness and gladness, read Luk 14:12-24.

Luk 14:12  Then said he also to him that bade him, When thou makest a dinner or a supper, call not thy friends, nor thy brethren, neither thy kinsmen, nor thy rich neighbours; lest they also bid thee again, and a recompence be made thee.

Luk 14:13  But when thou makest a feast, call the poor, the maimed, the lame, the blind:

Luk 14:14  And thou shalt be blessed; for they cannot recompense thee: for thou shalt be recompensed at the resurrection of the just.

Walk in the Light, always be Ready

Always be ready to hear His Voice and obey Him. Know His Commandments. Walk in the Light whilst He still can be found. Do not be a foolish virgin with no oil in your lamp, read John 12:27-36.

Joh 12:34  The people answered him, We have heard out of the law that Christ abideth for ever: and how sayest thou, The Son of man must be lifted up? who is this Son of man?

Joh 12:35  Then Jesus said unto them, Yet a little while is the light with you. Walk while ye have the light, lest darkness come upon you: for he that walketh in darkness knoweth not whither he goeth.

Joh 12:36  While ye have light, believe in the light, that ye may be the children of light. These things spake Jesus, and departed, and did hide himself from them.

Day of the Lord/Watch and Pray/Do not enter into Temptation 

Do not be deceived, take heed, I foretold you, nobody knows when it will be, be ready, open immediately when the Lord comes. The Lord comes spiritually in a cloud of witnesses [Heb 9:27-29]. The Lord, the Kingdom of God, comes within our hearts and minds. The Day of the Lord is when the Comforter comes to us. Do not be so busy in your life or puffed up with knowledge that you are not ready when He comes. Always be ready, every day of your life, to receive Him. He comes suddenly and unexpectedly, read Matt 24:4-44, Mark 13:5-23, Luk 12:34-40, Luk 13:24-30, Luk 17:20-30, Luk 21:8-36, Luk 22:40-46.

Mat 24:4  And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you.

Mat 24:36  But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only.

Mat 24:44  Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh.

Mar 13:5  And Jesus answering them began to say, Take heed lest any man deceive you:

Mar 13:23  But take ye heed: behold, I have foretold you all things.

Mar 13:35  Watch ye therefore: for ye know not when the master of the house cometh, at even, or at midnight, or at the cockcrowing, or in the morning:

Mar 13:37  And what I say unto you I say unto all, Watch.

Mar 14:34  And saith unto them, My soul is exceeding sorrowful unto death: tarry ye here, and watch.

Mar 14:37  And he cometh, and findeth them sleeping, and saith unto Peter, Simon, sleepest thou? couldest not thou watch one hour?

Mar 14:38  Watch ye and pray, lest ye enter into temptation. The spirit truly is ready, but the flesh is weak.

Mar 14:41  And he cometh the third time, and saith unto them, Sleep on now, and take your rest: it is enough, the hour is come; behold, the Son of man is betrayed into the hands of sinners.

Mar 14:42  Rise up, let us go; lo, he that betrayeth me is at hand.

Luk 12:35  Let your loins be girded about, and your lights burning;

Luk 12:36  And ye yourselves like unto men that wait for their lord, when he will return from the wedding; that when he cometh and knocketh, they may open unto him immediately.

Luk 12:40  Be ye therefore ready also: for the Son of man cometh at an hour when ye think not.

Luk 13:24  Strive to enter in at the strait gate: for many, I say unto you, will seek to enter in, and shall not be able.

Luk 13:25  When once the master of the house is risen up, and hath shut to the door, and ye begin to stand without, and to knock at the door, saying, Lord, Lord, open unto us; and he shall answer and say unto you, I know you not whence ye are:

Luk 13:26  Then shall ye begin to say, We have eaten and drunk in thy presence, and thou hast taught in our streets.

Luk 13:27  But he shall say, I tell you, I know you not whence ye are; depart from me, all ye workers of iniquity.

Luk 17:20  And when he was demanded of the Pharisees, when the kingdom of God should come, he answered them and said, The kingdom of God cometh not with observation:

Luk 17:21  Neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, the kingdom of God is within you.

Luk 21:8  And he said, Take heed that ye be not deceived: for many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and the time draweth near: go ye not therefore after them.

Luk 21:19  In your patience possess ye your souls.

Luk 21:27  And then shall they see the Son of man coming in a cloud with power and great glory.

Luk 21:28  And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh.

Luk 21:34  And take heed to yourselves, lest at any time your hearts be overcharged with surfeiting, and drunkenness, and cares of this life, and so that day come upon you unawares.

Luk 21:36  Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man.

Luk 22:40  And when he was at the place, he said unto them, Pray that ye enter not into temptation.

Luk 22:45  And when he rose up from prayer, and was come to his disciples, he found them sleeping for sorrow,

Luk 22:46  And said unto them, Why sleep ye? rise and pray, lest ye enter into temptation.

Joh 7:6  Then Jesus said unto them, My time is not yet come: but your time is alway ready.

Resurrection

When we receive the Commandments again after a long while, and Christ makes them manifest again, that is when we are being raised from the spiritually dead. We have all died spiritually before He comes a second time to those waiting and ready for Him. Christ raises and perfects us on the third day. Only Christ’s Commandments can save, read John 6:25-59.

Joh 5:21  For as the Father raiseth up the dead, and quickeneth them; even so the Son quickeneth whom he will.

Joh 5:22  For the Father judgeth no man, but hath committed all judgment unto the Son:

Joh 5:23  That all men should honour the Son, even as they honour the Father. He that honoureth not the Son honoureth not the Father which hath sent him.

Joh 5:24 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.

Joh 5:37  And the Father himself, which hath sent me, hath borne witness of me. Ye have neither heard his voice at any time, nor seen his shape.

Joh 5:38  And ye have not his word abiding in you: for whom he hath sent, him ye believe not.

Joh 5:39  Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me.

Joh 5:40 And ye will not come to me, that ye might have life.

Joh 6:43  Jesus therefore answered and said unto them, Murmur not among yourselves.

Joh 6:44  No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day.

Born Again 

To be born again of water and Spirit, one has to have the Baptism of John [the Water] and the Baptism of Fire [the Spirit] when the Holy Spirit/Comforter comes within us, read John 3:1-15.

Joh 3:5  Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.

Joh 3:6  That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.

Joh 3:7  Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.

Treasures New and Old

A Scribe qualified to handle the Word of Truth brings forth treasures from the Old and New Testaments.

Mat 13:52  Then said he unto them, Therefore every scribe which is instructed unto the kingdom of heaven is like unto a man that is an householder, which bringeth forth out of his treasure things new and old.

Ask for the Holy Spirit

As the true Israel of God, we ask our Father to give us the Holy Spirit, the Comforter. We ask in Christ’s Name, His Name is the Commandments, the Words of Spirit and Life [John 6:63]. Keeping His Commandments makes us bold to ask. We do not ask amiss to spend it on our pleasures/carnal thoughts. We pray Thy Kingdom come every day, read Matt 7:7-11.

Mat 7:7  Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:

Luk 11:5  And he said unto them, Which of you shall have a friend, and shall go unto him at midnight, and say unto him, Friend, lend me three loaves;

Luk 11:6  For a friend of mine in his journey is come to me, and I have nothing to set before him?

Luk 11:7  And he from within shall answer and say, Trouble me not: the door is now shut, and my children are with me in bed; I cannot rise and give thee.

Luk 11:8  I say unto you, Though he will not rise and give him, because he is his friend, yet because of his importunity he will rise and give him as many as he needeth.

Luk 11:9  And I say unto you, Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you.

Luk 11:10  For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.

Luk 11:11 If a son shall ask bread of any of you that is a father, will he give him a stone? or if he ask a fish, will he for a fish give him a serpent?

Luk 11:12 Or if he shall ask an egg, will he offer him a scorpion?

Luk 11:13  If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children: how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him?

Luk 18:1  And he spake a parable unto them to this end, that men ought always to pray, and not to faint;

Luk 18:2  Saying, There was in a city a judge, which feared not God, neither regarded man:

Luk 18:3  And there was a widow in that city; and she came unto him, saying, Avenge me of mine adversary.

Luk 18:4  And he would not for a while: but afterward he said within himself, Though I fear not God, nor regard man;

Luk 18:5  Yet because this widow troubleth me, I will avenge her, lest by her continual coming she weary me.

Luk 18:6  And the Lord said, Hear what the unjust judge saith.

Luk 18:7  And shall not God avenge his own elect, which cry day and night unto him, though he bear long with them?

Luk 18:8  I tell you that he will avenge them speedily. Nevertheless when the Son of man cometh, shall he find faith on the earth?

Joh 14:12  Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.

Joh 14:13  And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.

Joh 14:14  If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it.

Joh 16:20  Verily, verily, I say unto you, That ye shall weep and lament, but the world shall rejoice: and ye shall be sorrowful, but your sorrow shall be turned into joy.

Joh 16:21  A woman when she is in travail hath sorrow, because her hour is come: but as soon as she is delivered of the child, she remembereth no more the anguish, for joy that a man is born into the world.

Joh 16:22  And ye now therefore have sorrow: but I will see you again, and your heart shall rejoice, and your joy no man taketh from you.

Joh 16:23  And in that day ye shall ask me nothing. Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall ask the Father in my name, he will give it you.

Joh 16:24  Hitherto have ye asked nothing in my name: ask, and ye shall receive, that your joy may be full.

Joh 16:26  At that day ye shall ask in my name: and I say not unto you, that I will pray the Father for you:

Be of Good Cheer

We are always persecuted for the Words of Christ. Be of good cheer and rejoice in the Lord always. We have a great reward in heaven when we are persecuted for His Name’s sake. Have peace within yourselves.

Joh 16:32  Behold, the hour cometh, yea, is now come, that ye shall be scattered, every man to his own, and shall leave me alone: and yet I am not alone, because the Father is with me.

Joh 16:33  These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.

Little Children

Little children spiritually are the ones who receive His Promise, the Holy Spirit. Do not prevent them from doing Christ because they are faithful to His Commandments. They are the ones who are truly born again. Such ones believe like a child.

Mat 18:3  And said, Verily I say unto you, Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven.

Mat 18:4  Whosoever therefore shall humble himself as this little child, the same is greatest in the kingdom of heaven.

Mat 18:5  And whoso shall receive one such little child in my name receiveth me.

Mat 18:6  But whoso shall offend one of these little ones which believe in me, it were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and that he were drowned in the depth of the sea.

Mat 18:7  Woe unto the world because of offences! for it must needs be that offences come; but woe to that man by whom the offence cometh!

Mat 18:8  Wherefore if thy hand or thy foot offend thee, cut them off, and cast them from thee: it is better for thee to enter into life halt or maimed, rather than having two hands or two feet to be cast into everlasting fire.

Mat 18:9  And if thine eye offend thee, pluck it out, and cast it from thee: it is better for thee to enter into life with one eye, rather than having two eyes to be cast into hell fire.

Mat 18:10  Take heed that ye despise not one of these little ones; for I say unto you, That in heaven their angels do always behold the face of my Father which is in heaven.

Mat 19:14  But Jesus said, Suffer little children, and forbid them not, to come unto me: for of such is the kingdom of heaven.

Mar 9:36  And he took a child, and set him in the midst of them: and when he had taken him in his arms, he said unto them,

Mar 9:37  Whosoever shall receive one of such children in my name, receiveth me: and whosoever shall receive me, receiveth not me, but him that sent me.

Mar 9:42  And whosoever shall offend one of these little ones that believe in me, it is better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and he were cast into the sea.

Mar 9:48  Where their worm dieth not, and the fire is not quenched.

Mar 10:13  And they brought young children to him, that he should touch them: and his disciples rebuked those that brought them.

Mar 10:14 But when Jesus saw it, he was much displeased, and said unto them, Suffer the little children to come unto me, and forbid them not: for of such is the kingdom of God.

Luk 18:17  Verily I say unto you, Whosoever shall not receive the kingdom of God as a little child shall in no wise enter therein.

Do not take up a Sword

Obeying the Gospel is our rest in Christ. Obeying His Commandments means not to argue back and forth when He commands us to obey His Law. If we argue, we perish, and spiritually die by the sword of carnal arguments and logic, read Matt 26:47-52.

Mat 26:51  And, behold, one of them which were with Jesus stretched out his hand, and drew his sword, and struck a servant of the high priest’s, and smote off his ear.

Mat 26:52  Then said Jesus unto him, Put up again thy sword into his place: for all they that take the sword shall perish with the sword.

Joh 18:10 Then Simon Peter having a sword drew it, and smote the high priest’s servant, and cut off his right ear. The servant’s name was Malchus.

Joh 18:11  Then said Jesus unto Peter, Put up thy sword into the sheath: the cup which my Father hath given me, shall I not drink it?

Do not be afraid of what you shall Say

Being delivered up spiritually is when people are offended because we are doing Christ, meaning obeying His Commandments. Christ gives us the words to speak in the moment.

Mat 10:17  But beware of men: for they will deliver you up to the councils, and they will scourge you in their synagogues;

Mat 10:18  And ye shall be brought before governors and kings for my sake, for a testimony against them and the Gentiles.

Mat 10:19  But when they deliver you up, take no thought how or what ye shall speak: for it shall be given you in that same hour what ye shall speak.

Mat 10:20  For it is not ye that speak, but the Spirit of your Father which speaketh in you.

Luk 12:11  And when they bring you unto the synagogues, and unto magistrates, and powers, take ye no thought how or what thing ye shall answer, or what ye shall say:

Luk 12:12  For the Holy Ghost shall teach you in the same hour what ye ought to say.

Preach the Gospel

This is a parable; it means to preach the Gospel, the Commandments of Christ unadulterated, not adding to it or taking away from it. Sheep and lambs are the children of God we seek to bring back into the flock, read Matt 28:16-19, Matt 10:16-33,

Mat 10:5  These twelve Jesus sent forth, and commanded them, saying, Go not into the way of the Gentiles, and into any city of the Samaritans enter ye not:

Mat 10:6  But go rather to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.

Mat 10:7  And as ye go, preach, saying, The kingdom of heaven is at hand.

Mat 10:8  Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils: freely ye have received, freely give.

Mat 10:9  Provide neither gold, nor silver, nor brass in your purses,

Mat 10:10  Nor scrip for your journey, neither two coats, neither shoes, nor yet staves: for the workman is worthy of his meat.

Mat 10:11  And into whatsoever city or town ye shall enter, enquire who in it is worthy; and there abide till ye go thence.

Mat 10:12  And when ye come into an house, salute it.

Mat 10:13  And if the house be worthy, let your peace come upon it: but if it be not worthy, let your peace return to you.

Mat 10:14  And whosoever shall not receive you, nor hear your words, when ye depart out of that house or city, shake off the dust of your feet.

Mat 10:22  And ye shall be hated of all men for my name’s sake: but he that endureth to the end shall be saved.

Mat 10:23  But when they persecute you in this city, flee ye into another: for verily I say unto you, Ye shall not have gone over the cities of Israel, till the Son of man be come.

Luk 24:46 And said unto them, Thus it is written, and thus it behoved Christ to suffer, and to rise from the dead the third day:

Luk 24:47  And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem.

Luk 24:48  And ye are witnesses of these things.

Luk 24:49  And, behold, I send the promise of my Father upon you: but tarry ye in the city of Jerusalem, until ye be endued with power from on high.

Joh 20:19  Then the same day at evening, being the first day of the week, when the doors were shut where the disciples were assembled for fear of the Jews, came Jesus and stood in the midst, and saith unto them, Peace be unto you.

Joh 20:20 And when he had so said, he shewed unto them his hands and his side. Then were the disciples glad, when they saw the Lord.

Joh 20:21  Then said Jesus to them again, Peace be unto you: as my Father hath sent me, even so send I you.

Joh 20:22 And when he had said this, he breathed on them, and saith unto them, Receive ye the Holy Ghost:

Joh 21:15  So when they had dined, Jesus saith to Simon Peter, Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou me more than these? He saith unto him, Yea, Lord; thou knowest that I love thee. He saith unto him, Feed my lambs.

Joh 21:16  He saith to him again the second time, Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou me? He saith unto him, Yea, Lord; thou knowest that I love thee. He saith unto him, Feed my sheep.

Joh 21:17  He saith unto him the third time, Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou me? Peter was grieved because he said unto him the third time, Lovest thou me? And he said unto him, Lord, thou knowest all things; thou knowest that I love thee. Jesus saith unto him, Feed my sheep.

Speaking to the Church scattered abroad to edify, exhort, and comfort you and us together:

Obey the Commandments of Christ and Love one another.

The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom and that is to know and obey the Commandments of Christ. It is the secret/mystery of the Gospel:

Eph 6:19  And for me, that utterance may be given unto me, that I may open my mouth boldly, to make known the mystery of the gospel, 

Eph 6:20  For which I am an ambassador in bonds: that therein I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak. 

Col 1:26 Even the mystery which hath been hid from ages and from generations, but now is made manifest to his saints:

Psa 25:14 The secret of the LORD is with them that fear him; and he will shew them his covenant. 

Pro 9:10  The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom: and the knowledge of the holy is understanding. 

What are the Commandments of Christ? Here are a few examples:

Mat 5:21  Ye have heard that it was said by them of old time, Thou shalt not kill; and whosoever shall kill shall be in danger of the judgment: 

Mat 5:22  But I say unto you, That whosoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment: and whosoever shall say to his brother, Raca, shall be in danger of the council: but whosoever shall say, Thou fool, shall be in danger of hell fire. 

Mat 5:27  Ye have heard that it was said by them of old time, Thou shalt not commit adultery: 

Mat 5:28  But I say unto you, That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart. 

Mat 5:38  Ye have heard that it hath been said, An eye for an eye, and a tooth for a tooth: 

Mat 5:39  But I say unto you, That ye resist not evil: but whosoever shall smite thee on thy right cheek, turn to him the other also. 

Mat 5:40  And if any man will sue thee at the law, and take away thy coat, let him have thy cloke also. 

Mat 5:41  And whosoever shall compel thee to go a mile, go with him twain. 

Mat 5:42  Give to him that asketh thee, and from him that would borrow of thee turn not thou away. 

Mat 5:43  Ye have heard that it hath been said, Thou shalt love thy neighbour, and hate thine enemy. 

Mat 5:44  But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you; 

Mat 5:45  That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust. 

Mat 5:46  For if ye love them which love you, what reward have ye? do not even the publicans the same? 

Mat 5:47  And if ye salute your brethren only, what do ye more than others? do not even the publicans so? 

Mat 5:48  Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect. 

Who gave Christ the Commandments?

Joh 14:24 He that loveth me not keepeth not my sayings: and the word which ye hear is not mine, but the Father’s which sent me. 

Joh 12:49  For I have not spoken of Myself, but the Father who sent Me gave Me a command, what I should say, and what I should speak. 

If you see Christ, you see the Father:

Joh 14:6  Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. 

Joh 14:7  If ye had known me, ye should have known my Father also: and from henceforth ye know him, and have seen him. 

Joh 14:8  Philip saith unto him, Lord, shew us the Father, and it sufficeth us. 

Joh 14:9  Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? he that hath seen me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou then, Shew us the Father? 

Christ obeys and keeps the Father’s Commandments. He loves the Father:

 Joh 14:31  But that the world may know that I love the Father; and as the Father gave me commandment, even so I do. Arise, let us go hence. 

 Joh 15:9  As the Father hath loved me, so have I loved you: continue ye in my love. 

Joh 15:10  If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father’s commandments, and abide in his love. 

God, the Father, is greater than Christ Jesus:

Joh 14:28  Ye have heard how I said unto you, I go away, and come again unto you. If ye loved me, ye would rejoice, because I said, I go unto the Father: for my Father is greater than I.

No man comes to the Father except through Christ:

Joh 14:6  Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. 

Keeping/obeying Christ’s Commandments is loving Him:

Joh 14:15  If ye love me, keep my commandments. 

Joh 14:16  And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever; 

Joh 14:17  Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you. 

Keeping Christ’s Commandments is love, and it is being loved by God, the Father:

Joh 14:21  He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.

 Keeping Christ’s Commandments is loving the children of God:

1Jn 5:2  By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God, and keep his commandments. 

1Jn 5:3  For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous. 

The true meaning of love is keeping Christ’s Commandments:

2Jn 1:4  I rejoiced greatly that I found of thy children walking in truth, as we have received a commandment from the Father. 

2Jn 1:5  And now I beseech thee, lady, not as though I wrote a new commandment unto thee, but that which we had from the beginning, that we love one another. 

2Jn 1:6  And this is love, that we walk after his commandments. This is the commandment, That, as ye have heard from the beginning, ye should walk in it. 

Not doing as Christ says is not loving Him:

Joh 14:22  Judas saith unto him, not Iscariot, Lord, how is it that thou wilt manifest thyself unto us, and not unto the world? 

Joh 14:23  Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him. 

Joh 14:24  He that loveth me not keepeth not my sayings: and the word which ye hear is not mine, but the Father’s which sent me. 

Keeping the Lord’s Commandments is eating His flesh and drinking His blood:

Joh 6:51  I am the living bread which came down from heaven: if any man eat of this bread, he shall live for ever: and the bread that I will give is my flesh, which I will give for the life of the world. 

Joh 6:52  The Jews therefore strove among themselves, saying, How can this man give us his flesh to eat? 

Joh 6:53  Then Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except ye eat the flesh of the Son of man, and drink his blood, ye have no life in you. 

Joh 6:54  Whoso eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, hath eternal life; and I will raise him up at the last day. 

Joh 6:55  For my flesh is meat indeed, and my blood is drink indeed. 

Joh 6:56  He that eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, dwelleth in me, and I in him. 

Joh 6:57  As the living Father hath sent me, and I live by the Father: so he that eateth me, even he shall live by me. 

Joh 6:58  This is that bread which came down from heaven: not as your fathers did eat manna, and are dead: he that eateth of this bread shall live for ever. 

Christ’s Commandments are making us perfect for our Bridegroom and acceptable to the Father, the Father of all spirits. Through knowing and obeying the Commandments of Christ, we are being made perfect for THEM to make their abode in us. Paul writes here about the power of Christ’s resurrection, and it means to bring Christ into remembrance, to bring His Commandments into remembrance, to hear and obey them.  Obeying them is the power of life; it is saving us. All things lost to Paul and all of us, His true followers, is the pursuit after the Law of Moses [believing this is what saves us], the knowledge of the prophesies and endless genealogies, etc, having a form of godliness, never coming to the Truth of the Gospel that is saving us, making us perfect.

Php 3:7  But what things were gain to me, those I counted loss for Christ. 

Php 3:8  Yea doubtless, and I count all things but loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord: for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and do count them but dung, that I may win Christ, 

Php 3:9  And be found in him, not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith: 

Php 3:10  That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death; 

Php 3:11  If by any means I might attain unto the resurrection of the dead. 

Php 3:12  Not as though I had already attained, either were already perfect: but I follow after, if that I may apprehend that for which also I am apprehended of Christ Jesus. 

Php 3:13  Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, 

Php 3:14  I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus. 

Christ was perfected on the third day, when He died on the tree:

Luk 13:31  The same day there came certain of the Pharisees, saying unto him, Get thee out, and depart hence: for Herod will kill thee. 

Luk 13:32  And he said unto them, Go ye, and tell that fox, Behold, I cast out devils, and I do cures to day and to morrow, and the third day I shall be perfected. 

Heb 5:9 And being made perfect, he became the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey him; 

One who did all the Commandments of Moses wanted eternal life [John 17:3], and he kept all the Commandments under Moses, but he was not perfect in Christ’s own Words. Selling all we have is getting rid of the idea that Moses [The Ten  Commandments], knowledge, or good deeds are saving us to enter into the Kingdom of God. The above has its place, but in the end, a renewing mindset is what counts [Rom 12:2]. A renewing mindset that cleanses us from the inside out. That only comes about through hearing and obeying the Gospel of Christ. Here are the Scriptures:

Mat 19:16  And, behold, one came and said unto him, Good Master, what good thing shall I do, that I may have eternal life?

Mat 19:17  And he said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God: but if thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments. 

Mat 19:18  He saith unto him, Which? Jesus said, Thou shalt do no murder, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness, 

Mat 19:19  Honour thy father and thy mother: and, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. 

Mat 19:20  The young man saith unto him, All these things have I kept from my youth up: what lack I yet? 

Mat 19:21  Jesus said unto him, If thou wilt be perfect, go and sell that thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come and follow me. 

The young man was sorrowful because he possessed great knowledge and was rich in that way. His mindset was not renewed to accept the salvation of Christ, which was to follow Christ, hear, and obey His Commandments. He depended on his riches in the spirit [type and shadow], in his own knowledge to save him. He worked His own righteousness, which is not the righteousness of Christ, which is not the righteousness of Christ’s Commandments.

Mat 19:22  But when the young man heard that saying, he went away sorrowful: for he had great possessions. 

Mat 19:23  Then said Jesus unto his disciples, Verily I say unto you, That a rich man shall hardly enter into the kingdom of heaven.

Tit 3:5 Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost; 

The Law and Prophets are good. Christ did not do away with the old Law and the Prophets, but fulfilled it, made it perfect, and He is making it perfect today in us, living in us.

Mat 5:17  Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil. 

Mat 5:18  For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled. 

Paul, James, and the writer of Hebrews exhort us to keep the Commandments, which make us perfect, waiting for the Lord to come and live in us. This is the rest of Hebrews 4 [Please read the chapter]. Keeping Christ’s Law is keeping the Law of Liberty, the Law of freedom:

1Ti 6:12  Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses. 

1Ti 6:13  I give thee charge in the sight of God, who quickeneth all things, and before Christ Jesus, who before Pontius Pilate witnessed a good confession; 

1Ti 6:14  That thou keep this commandment without spot, unrebukeable, until the appearing of our Lord Jesus Christ:

Heb 4:1  Let us therefore fear, lest, a promise being left us of entering into his rest, any of you should seem to come short of it.

Jas 1:25  But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed.

Co 13:9 For we are glad, when we are weak, and ye are strong: and this also we wish, even your perfection.

Christ commands us to love each other as He loved us. He loved us by laying down His life. We love others when we lay down our lives. We lay down our lives by denying self. The natural man in us cannot live when we do the Commandments. It has to die. In this dying daily, we change little by little to become like Christ. Here is the new Commandment, which makes us perfect and not lacking:

Joh 13:34  A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another. 

Joh 13:35  By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another. 

Keeping Christ’s  Commandments is perfect love, the bond of perfection [Col 3:14]:

Joh 15:11  These things have I spoken unto you, that my joy might remain in you, and that your joy might be full. 

Joh 15:12  This is my commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you. 

Joh 15:13  Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends. 

Joh 15:14  Ye are my friends, if ye do whatsoever I command you. 

Joh 15:15  Henceforth I call you not servants; for the servant knoweth not what his lord doeth: but I have called you friends; for all things that I have heard of my Father I have made known unto you. 

Joh 15:16  Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you. 

Joh 15:17  These things I command you, that ye love one another. 

This Commandment to keep my Commandments and to love one another is given to all who have the Name of Christ in their foreheads. His Name is symbolic of the Gospel, which is to know and obey His Commandments:

Joh 1:12  But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: 

Joh 1:13  Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God. 

Here is a type and shadow [not the real thing but pointing to the real thing], of us, being the Temple of God when we obey the Lord and start entering into His rest according to Hebrews 4.

1Ki 8:56  Blessed be the LORD, that hath given rest unto his people Israel, according to all that he promised: there hath not failed one word of all his good promise, which he promised by the hand of Moses his servant. 

1Ki 8:57  The LORD our God be with us, as he was with our fathers: let him not leave us, nor forsake us: 

1Ki 8:58  That he may incline our hearts unto him, to walk in all his ways, and to keep his commandments, and his statutes, and his judgments, which he commanded our fathers. 

1Ki 8:59  And let these my words, wherewith I have made supplication before the LORD, be nigh unto the LORD our God day and night, that he maintain the cause of his servant, and the cause of his people Israel at all times, as the matter shall require: 

1Ki 8:60  That all the people of the earth may know that the LORD is God, and that there is none else. 

1Ki 8:61  Let your heart therefore be perfect with the LORD our God, to walk in his statutes, and to keep his commandments, as at this day. 

We are preparing ourselves to receive Christ and the Father to come and live in us, all by God’s design:

 Rev 19:5  And a voice came out of the throne, saying, Praise our God, all ye his servants, and ye that fear him, both small and great. 

Rev 19:7  Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honour to him: for the marriage of the Lamb is come, and his wife hath made herself ready. 

Rev 19:8  And to her was granted that she should be arrayed in fine linen, clean and white: for the fine linen is the righteousness of saints. 

Rev 19:9  And he saith unto me, Write, Blessed are they which are called unto the marriage supper of the Lamb. And he saith unto me, These are the true sayings of God. 

Rev 19:10  And I fell at his feet to worship him. And he said unto me, See thou do it not: I am thy fellowservant, and of thy brethren that have the testimony of Jesus: worship God: for the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy. 

Receive ye the Gospel.
