Commandments

Be Ye Merciful as Your Father is Merciful

The Mercy of the Lord that Saves

We give thanks to the Lord and our Father for the abundant spiritual blessings being given for the ministry of the saints.  We pray for the Lord’s mercy to come along with His grace and peace.

Mercy, like peace, grace, and faith, is something asked from the Lord and prayed for brethren to receive.  Most Epistles begin with a prayer for mercy among God’s other provisions, such as this one.

2Jn 1:3  Grace be with you, mercy, and peace, from God the Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of the Father, in truth and love.

Being merciful is a simple yet powerful commandment that holds more wisdom and truth than we first believe.  We are commanded to be merciful, which is the nature of our Heavenly Father.

Luk 6:36  Be ye therefore merciful, as your Father also is merciful.

Mercy is seeing the Lord, and we are merciful when we show the Lord to others in the same way the Lord was shared with us.  Those first given mercy from the Lord are, in turn, used to bring His mercy to others.  This is how the Gospel, the indwelling Promise of God, also known as the good news, is spread as Christ builds His church in every generation.  The first to believe and receive His mercy [see the Lord] have received the Promise of the Holy Spirit.  With the resurrected Christ in us, we are Christ in this world and are sent to perform the greater works by preaching the one true Gospel.

Joh 14:12  Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.

Those obedient to the faith and the calling to preach the Gospel, being merciful in their deeds, receive even more of God’s blessing of mercy.   We reap even more of what we are sowing.

Mat 5:7  Blessed are the merciful: for they shall obtain mercy.

Those faithful in the Lord’s mercy are given even more to further the work of the kingdom.  The merciful have already obtained abundant mercy and spiritual understanding, which expands as their eyes are fully enlightened.

Mat 13:12  For whosoever hath, to him shall be given, and he shall have more abundance: but whosoever hath not, from him shall be taken away even that he hath.

Those first given mercy, such as the Apostle Paul, are those the Lord uses to pass it on to others by appointing them to preach the Gospel.

2Co 4:1  Therefore, seeing we have this ministry, as we have received mercy, we faint not

Lord willing, this letter deepens our understanding of mercy.  Wisdom comes from recognizing mercy as the centerpiece of all the Lord’s wonderful works to the children of Israel.

Psa 107:43  Whoso is wise, and will observe these things, even they shall understand the lovingkindness [mercy] of the LORD.

Mercy and grace are intrinsically linked, as they are both what save us from our sins.  We know grace saves us [Eph 2:8], but so does mercy.

Tit 3:4  But after that the kindness and love of God our Saviour toward man appeared,

Tit 3:5  Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost;

Receiving the Promise of the Holy Spirit, the Baptism of Christ, is the mercy of the Lord that begets us into a living hope as Jesus Christ is raised from the dead within us.  This is the mystery of the Gospel now being revealed.

1Pe 1:3  Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead

All men are clay in the Potter’s hands who chooses the vessels that receive His mercy to whom He is making known the power of the Gospel.

Rom 9:22  What if God, willing to shew his wrath, and to make his power known, endured with much longsuffering the vessels of wrath fitted to destruction:

Rom 9:23  And that he might make known the riches of his glory on the vessels of mercy, which he had afore prepared unto glory,

The riches of His glory is the Living Word, the Holy Commandments of the Father.  Mercy reveals these to us, giving one eyes to see and ears to hear them.  When this Promise comes, these living Words are established in our hearts.  By God’s mercy, we now have access to the throne of grace in our time of need. Mercy precedes grace, as without mercy, the grace that comes from the living commandments is not established.

Psa 89:14  Justice and judgment are the habitation of thy throne: mercy and truth shall go before thy face.

Isa 16:5  And in mercy shall the throne be established: and he shall sit upon it in truth in the tabernacle of David, judging, and seeking judgment, and hasting righteousness.

The first step in turning our hearts to the Lord is seeing the commandments and having faith in them.  This is why mercy precedes grace.  Mercy opens our eyes to see, so grace can come and be established.  Thus, the two main drivers of overcoming our sin, mercy, and grace are put into us when we have eyes to see and ears to hear the Gospel.  Only the chosen disciples receive this first in every age and we shall see why soon.

Mat 13:16  But blessed are your eyes, for they see: and your ears, for they hear.

The Lord is always merciful to those who ask.  Mercy is sending the Word of the Living Commandments to heal those who ask for help.

Psa 107:19  Then they cry unto the LORD in their trouble, and he saveth them out of their distresses.

Psa 107:20  He sent his word [the commandments], and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions.

Psa 107:21  Oh that men would praise the LORD for his mercy [goodness], and for his wonderful works to the children of men!

It is truly the mercy or goodness of God that leads every man to repentance in their appointed time.  The Lord healed many of blindness, deafness, and other ailments, and they all asked for mercy.  There are numerous proofs of mercy, being the opening of spiritual eyes to see the commandments of the Lord that heal.  All of these stories and examples are done in parables.  New Testament witnesses include the events in Mrk 10:47, Mat 17:15, Mat 15:22, Mat 9:27, Luk 17:13, and Luk 18:38.  Here is one example where two blind men ask for mercy.   With their eyes now open, those healed immediately follow the commandments, and thus mercy begins the process of salvation.

Mat 20:30  And, behold, two blind men sitting by the way side, when they heard that Jesus passed by, cried out, saying, Have mercy on us, O Lord, thou Son of David.

Mat 20:31  And the multitude rebuked them, because they should hold their peace: but they cried the more, saying, Have mercy on us, O Lord, thou Son of David.

Mat 20:32  And Jesus stood still, and called them, and said, What will ye that I shall do unto you?

Mat 20:33  They say unto him, Lord, that our eyes may be opened.

oMat 20:34  So Jesus had compassion on them, and touched their eyes: and immediately their eyes received sight, and they followed him.

The Temple of God is Established by Mercy

We are drawn to the Lord through God’s enduring mercy, and the temple’s foundation is laid in our hearts and minds.   The foundation is the Living Commandments.  We see this truth in all the shadows of the Old Testament, in all the stories of building a temple.

Jer 31:3  The LORD hath appeared of old unto me, saying, Yea, I have loved thee with an everlasting love: therefore with mercy [lovingkindness] have I drawn thee.

Ezr 3:11  And they sang together by course in praising and giving thanks unto the LORD; because he is good, for his mercy endureth for ever toward Israel. And all the people shouted with a great shout, when they praised the LORD, because the foundation of the house of the LORD was laid.

The throne of grace is where the Lord and His Father sit in the Temple that is established in our hearts by mercy.  When our time to receive the Promise comes, the fire of the Living Word comes into the house, and the mercy endures forever.  At the dedication of the first temple, the shadow of the true one we are shown this wonderful work of God to His children.  The Living Word, the Promise, fills the house, the glory of the Lord, and all the children of Israel praise the Lord for His goodness and enduring mercy.

2Ch 7:1  Now when Solomon had made an end of praying, the fire came down from heaven, and consumed the burnt offering and the sacrifices; and the glory of the LORD filled the house.

2Ch 7:2  And the priests could not enter into the house of the LORD, because the glory of the LORD [The Promise] had filled the LORD’S house.

2Ch 7:3  And when all the children of Israel saw how the fire came down, and the glory of the LORD upon the house, they bowed themselves with their faces to the ground upon the pavement, and worshipped, and praised the LORD, saying, For he is good; for his mercy endureth for ever.

God’s mercy is what establishes the kingdom within us and the grace that follows.  Both mercy and grace save us.

Eph 2:4  But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us,

Eph 2:5  Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;)

Mercy is always about building the temple of God, which starts with laying the foundation of the Living commandments.  There is no other foundation on which the Temple of Christ is built.  This is the same as receiving the Gospel.  The Holy Spirit brings righteousness, judgment, and mercy, and is the Lord’s favour upon His chosen people.

Hos 2:19  And I will betroth thee unto me for ever; yea, I will betroth thee unto me in righteousness, and in judgment, and in lovingkindness, and in mercies.

Isa 54:10  For the mountains shall depart, and the hills be removed; but my kindness [mercy] shall not depart from thee, neither shall the covenant of my peace be removed, saith the LORD that hath mercy on thee.

Once Given, Mercy Endures Forever

Mercy endures forever as the gifts and calling of God are irrevocable.  The Lord loses none of those given to Him by the Father.  Christ finishes what He starts, which is the salvation from sins and remaking us into the image of God.  The work of God in our lives is finished right on the Father’s schedule.

Php 1:6  Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ:

All the many greater and wonderful works of the Lord come by way of His enduring mercy.  We have many Psalms singing the praises and giving thanks to the Lord, for His mercy endures forever.

Psa 136:1  O give thanks unto the LORD; for he is good: for his mercy endureth for ever….

Psa 136:3  O give thanks to the Lord of lords: for his mercy endureth for ever……

Psa 136:24  And hath redeemed us from our enemies: for his mercy endureth for ever.

Mercy is God’s goodness and lovingkindness; the same Hebrew word represents all three English words.  His goodness or mercy is also known as the wonderful works of god to the children of men.

Psa 107:1  O give thanks unto the LORD, for he is good: for his mercy endureth for ever.

Psa 107:2  Let the redeemed of the LORD say so, whom he hath redeemed from the hand of the enemy

Receiving mercy is receiving the Promise that is the second coming of Christ. This is how our minds are renewed, and the construction of the Holy Temple begins in earnest.  King David and his son Solomon reflect this truth in the shadow of the Old Testament.  The Lord’s mercy shall not be taken from the new man born from the first.  Here is the Promise made to King David.

1Ch 17:13  I [the Lord speaking] will be his father, and he shall be my son: and I will not take my mercy away from him, as I took it from him that was before thee:

1Ch 17:14  But I will settle him in mine house and in my kingdom for ever: and his throne shall be established for evermore.

We pray daily for the Lord’s bread, the rain, and the Spirit, all of which are the Living Commandments to come and take root in our hearts.  Those prayers of faith are answered, and the Lord has mercy upon us.

Psa 86:3  Be merciful unto me, O Lord: for I cry unto thee daily.

Psa 86:4  Rejoice the soul of thy servant: for unto thee, O Lord, do I lift up my soul.

Psa 86:5  For thou, Lord, art good, and ready to forgive; and plenteous in mercy unto all them that call upon thee.

Who Receives Mercy:

All mankind is given the mercy that saves in their appointed time.  The appointed time, known only to the Father, is when the Promise of the Spirit comes upon us.  This is the time of reformation that is come.

Heb 9:28  So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation.

In this age, only the elect, those predestined from the beginning of time, receive the mercy of the Lord.  The Lord chooses to whom He gives mercy [reveals Himself] and to whom He does not.  There is no free will or choosing of man involved, as the Lord chooses.

Rom 9:15  For he saith to Moses, I will have mercy on whom I will have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I will have compassion.

Rom 9:16  So then it is not of him that willeth, nor of him that runneth, but of God that sheweth mercy.

Rom 9:18  Therefore hath he mercy on whom he will have mercy, and whom he will he hardeneth.

Those Given Mercy, give it to others.

Those saved by the Lord’s mercy when the Holy Spirit of Promise comes, then become the instruments in how all the weightier matters of Christ’s law are given to others.  These are mercy, grace, peace, and faith.  These are the greater works, the elect, the Christ of Christ, the saviours on Mt. Zion perform in spreading the Gospel to those ordained to receive it.  This is the role of the Lord’s priests and ministers who preach and live by the Gospel.  Those who enter in by the door that is Christ become the shepherds of the sheep the Lord is saving in every generation.

Joh 10:2  But he that entereth in by the door is the shepherd of the sheep.

As the Father sent Christ, He now sends us, His Priests and Ministers of the Gospel.  We lay hands on them, opening up their understanding and the Spirit of God, the living commandments, the Promise, falls upon them.

Joh 20:21  Then said Jesus to them again, Peace be unto you: as my Father hath sent me, even so send I you.

Joh 20:22  And when he had said this, he breathed on them, and saith unto them, Receive ye the Holy Ghost:

Those chosen for this honour through none of their own works receive the mercy of the Lord first, so through us, the rest of mankind receives mercy in due time.

Rom 11:31  Even so have these also now not believed, that through your mercy they also may obtain mercy.

Rom 11:32  For God hath concluded them all in unbelief, that he might have mercy upon all.

This is why we are commanded to be merciful, as our Father has given us.  As He is, so are we, the ministers of the Gospel, to be merciful.

Those given the Promise first by the mercy of God, in turn, spread it to others. We do this NOW and in the lake of fire to come when all mankind receives the Promise of salvation.  When the Living Christ is revealed in a man, they are a Priest unto the Lord.

Rev 1:6  And hath made us kings and priests unto God and his Father; to him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.

The Mercy Seat

The Old Testament reveals the mystery of how the Gospel is spread by the Lord’s Christ in the details of the tabernacle and the mercy seat.   The mercy seat is a covering for the top of the ark, which is where the tablets of the commandments of the Lord were placed.  Guarding the mercy seat and access to the ark are two cherubim who are angels of the Lord.

Exo 25:17  And thou shalt make a mercy seat of pure gold: two cubits and a half shall be the length thereof, and a cubit and a half the breadth thereof.

Exo 25:18  And thou shalt make two cherubims of gold, of beaten work shalt thou make them, in the two ends of the mercy seat.

Exo 25:19  And make one cherub on the one end, and the other cherub on the other end: even of the mercy seat shall ye make the cherubims on the two ends thereof.

Exo 25:20  And the cherubims shall stretch forth their wings on high, covering the mercy seat with their wings, and their faces shall look one to another; toward the mercy seat shall the faces of the cherubims be.

Exo 25:21  And thou shalt put the mercy seat above upon the ark; and in the ark thou shalt put the testimony [commandments] that I shall give thee.

The mercy seat covers the ark, which symbolizes the living commandments that is the Gospel.  The Cherubims represent the Elect of God, the Lord’s two witnesses, sent by twos [Mar 6:7] to preach the Gospel.  When Christ in us is resurrected, we are known as children of the resurrection and are now likened to the angels of God.

Luk 20:35  But they which shall be accounted worthy to obtain that world, and the resurrection from the dead, neither marry, nor are given in marriage:

Luk 20:36  Neither can they die any more: for they are equal unto the angels; and are the children of God, being the children of the resurrection.

Those in whom Christ is resurrected by the Promise become the ministers and angels the Lord gives custody of the Gospel, the Living commandments.  As the cherubim of God, we guard the way to the Gospel [the ark], which is the same as the tree of life.

Gen 3:24  So he drove out the man; and he placed at the east of the garden of Eden Cherubims, and a flaming sword which turned every way, to keep the way of the tree of life.

The Living Words of the Lord [Christ] are met at the mercy seat.  This is where mercy is given to those the Lord has drawn near to receive it.  The angels spread the Gospel, thereby spreading the fire of the Word which is how the greater works are being done.  We preach the Gospel to every nation and person the Lord has prepared and puts in our path.   This is the laying on of hands and how the Holy Commandments are revealed unto the children of Israel, whose time of reformation has come.

Exo 25:22  And there [mercyseat] I will meet with thee, and I will commune with thee from above the mercy seat, from between the two cherubims which are upon the ark of the testimony, of all things which I will give thee in commandment unto the children of Israel.

The deep parables hidden in the Old Testament patterns of the construction of the Temple represent what the Apostles and all since have done in laying on hands to spread the Gospel and bring the baptism of the Holy Spirit.  Those who minister and lay on the hands are giving mercy, as this opens spiritual eyes and ears, so the Gospel is received into their hearts. This is how the Promise is spread and the church of Jesus Christ is built one saint at a time.

Act 19:5  When they heard this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.

Act 19:6  And when Paul had laid his hands upon them, the Holy Ghost came on them; and they spake with tongues, and prophesied.

Laying on hands, the giving of mercy, is done when one who has the Living Christ walks with and breaks bread with those seeking the Lord.  The breaking of bread is partaking of the Lord’s Body, eating the commandments that lay down our lives for the Lord.  This is how we show the Lord’s death until He comes.

1Co 11:24  And when he had given thanks, he brake it, and said, Take, eat: this is my body, which is broken for you: this do in remembrance of me.

1Co 11:25  After the same manner also he took the cup, when he had supped, saying, This cup is the new testament in my blood: this do ye, as oft as ye drink it, in remembrance of me.

1Co 11:26  For as often as ye eat this bread, and drink this cup, ye do shew the Lord’s death till he come.

The parable of the walk to Emmaus, where Christ walked and ate with two disciples after He was resurrected, confirms the understanding of how the Promise is spread, and we show mercy to others.  These disciples received the mercy of the Lord as their eyes were opened, and they understood the Scriptures, and Christ vanished into their heaven.. They now knew Christ, no longer in the flesh [2co 5:7], but they knew Him in the Spirit.  This is the ultimate mercy of the Lord given to the few chosen in this age.

Luk 24:30  And it came to pass, as he [Christ] sat at meat with them, he took bread, and blessed it, and brake, and gave to them.

Luk 24:31  And their eyes were opened, and they knew him; and he vanished out of their sight.

Luk 24:32  And they said one to another, Did not our heart burn within us, while he talked with us by the way, and while he opened to us the scriptures?

Luk 24:33  And they rose up the same hour, and returned to Jerusalem, and found the eleven gathered together, and them that were with them,

Luk 24:34  Saying, The Lord is risen indeed, and hath appeared to Simon.

Luk 24:35  And they told what things were done in the way, and how he was known of them in breaking of bread.

Once we receive mercy, what does it do?

Mercy shows us the way.  Our ability to see the living commandments enables us to follow the Lord.  Otherwise, we remain blind to the truth.

Exo 15:13  Thou in thy mercy hast led forth the people which thou hast redeemed: thou hast guided them in thy strength unto thy holy habitation.

When we see the Living Word, we have received mercy and follow Him.  Chosen disciples of Jesus Christ immediately follow Him as the mercy of God, the Living Word, has come into their lives.

Mat 4:20  And they straightway left their nets, and followed him.

Mat 4:22  And they immediately left the ship and their father, and followed him.

The mercy of the Lord that opens our eyes quickly begins to show us our sins and hidden things that need to be burned in the fire.  The Lord makes a quick work upon the earth when He comes to us.  When we see the living commandments, then we see our sins.  Sins are purged by mercy and truth.

Pro 16:6  By mercy and truth iniquity is purged: and by the fear of the LORD men depart from evil.

Mercy is our deliverance from the wicked one, the accuser that is our father the devil, within and without.

Psa 18:48  He delivereth me from mine enemies: yea, thou liftest me up above those that rise up against me: thou hast delivered me from the violent man.

God’s mercy reveals the commandments that is the brightness of His coming within us.  We are now being taught the right ways of God as we are led by the Spirit.  Without this mercy, our eyes fail us, and we do not do righteousness.  We need to see His ways and have them made known to us.

Psa 119:123  Mine eyes fail for thy salvation, and for the word of thy righteousness.

Psa 119:124  Deal with thy servant according unto thy mercy, and teach me thy statutes.

Psa 67:1  God be merciful unto us, and bless us; and cause his face to shine upon us; Selah.

Psa 67:2  That thy way may be known upon earth, thy saving health among all nations.

The Lord’s mercy brings remembrance of the commandments from heaven into our earth, so we obey them at the opportune time.

Psa 57:3  He shall send from heaven, and save me from the reproach of him that would swallow me up. Selah. God shall send forth his mercy and his truth [His Living Word is Truth].

Mercy Not Sacrifice

The Lord wants mercy and not sacrifice.  He wants us to be saved and sanctified, and that starts with receiving mercy from those previously given mercy by the Lord.  Our outward sacrifices mean nothing to the Lord and are vanity that occupy us until the Promise of the Holy Spirit, the mercy of God, comes in Spirit and Truth.

Hos 6:6  For I desired mercy, and not sacrifice; and the knowledge of God more than burnt offerings.

Jesus Christ gave us the example.  He ate the Gospel with sinners and publicans and was criticized by the religious who knew not the truth and had not the Spirit.  Christ rebuked them, stating He wants mercy and not the sacrifices of the carnally minded.

Mat 9:13  But go ye and learn what that meaneth, I will have mercy, and not sacrifice: for I am not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.

The Lord is well pleased when we who have been given the Spirit share and tarry with others, preaching the Gospel.  This is the example He left us as well as those of the original Apostles.  True worshippers in Spirit and in truth are created when they receive the Gospel, and the Promise comes to them.  This is the good seed we sow as the agents of mercy for the Lord.

The good Samaritan is merciful and takes care of their neighbor, dressing their wounds, pouring in oil, and giving them a place of spiritual rest.  This is the act of giving mercy, sharing the Gospel with those who hunger and thirst for His righteousness.   [See the parable Luk 10].

Luk 10:36  Which now of these three, thinkest thou, was neighbour unto him that fell among the thieves?
Luk 10:37  And he said, He that shewed mercy on him. Then said Jesus unto him, Go, and do thou likewise.

We are Christ, His ambassadors in this world.  We bring the good tidings of the Gospel and God’s goodness [mercy] to all who can hear.

Psa 107:8  Oh that men would praise the LORD for his goodness, [mercy] and for his wonderful works to the children of men!

Forgiveness is a component.

Mercy is the giving of the Living commandments, and forgiveness and compassion are key commandments and thus components of mercy.  After David’s egregious sin, he prayed for mercy and forgiveness.

Psa 51:1  Have mercy upon me, O God, according to thy lovingkindness: according unto the multitude of thy tender mercies blot out my transgressions.

Psa 51:2  Wash me throughly from mine iniquity, and cleanse me from my sin.

The goodness of God is His merciful nature, which leads every man to repentance in their time.  Mercy is certainly forgiveness because we are commanded to forgive.  When we repent after hearing the Gospel, we turn back to the Lord, and He forgives all of our transgressions.  This is receiving mercy, which begins to establish the foundation for the Temple to be built.

Isa 55:7  Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the LORD, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.

The point of this study was to show the deeper meaning of mercy, yet I hope this does not subtract at all from the forgiving and compassionate mindset we are to have with all men.  As our heavenly Father forgives us, we also forgive those who trespass against us.

Waiting in Hope for His Mercy:

We are saved by hope in the Mercy of the Lord that is promised to come.  While we wait for the Promise, we are making progress in preparing for His coming by praying daily, eating the Lord’s bread [reading the Scriptures, studying the commandments], and obeying the best we can. Faith comes by hearing, and we should always be seeking more.  Have faith and believe, the Lord’s mercy is coming.  Just tarry and pray for Him to come, which is mercy.

Psa 147:11  The LORD taketh pleasure in them that fear him, in those that hope in his mercy

Praying for the Promise is praying for the mercy of God to fall.  We are to pray for one another in the little flock for this mercy without ceasing.

Psa 66:20  Blessed be God, which hath not turned away my prayer, nor his mercy from me.

The Lord’s prayer means so much more once we understand what we are asking for when we pray it and ask “Thy kingdom come, thy will be done”.  We are asking for mercy, and it shall be granted.  Blessed are the merciful.

Grace, Peace, and Mercy unto the brethren,

Defending the Ministry of the Gospel

Defending the Ministry of the Gospel

Our Boast is in the Lord

We praise and give thanks to our heavenly Father and the Lord Jesus Christ for the abundant blessings bestowed upon us.  We pray that our ministry of the Gospel falls upon the good soil of the chosen and faithful of God.

God has made us ministers of the Gospel by the dispensation of the Lord. This is 100% the Lord’s work in us; it is none of ourselves, as indeed we are chief of sinners and unworthy of anything.  It serves the Lord’s purposes, not our own, for preachers to be raised from the dead, anointed with power, and sent forth to preach to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.  This is how the Lord, not men, commissions His disciples and sends them to work.

Mat 10:5  These twelve Jesus sent out and commanded them, saying: “Do not go into the way of the Gentiles, and do not enter a city of the Samaritans.

Mat 10:6  But go rather to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.

Mat 10:7  And as you go, preach, saying, ‘The kingdom of heaven is at hand.’

Mat 10:8  Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out demons. Freely you have received, freely give.

We rejoice in our spirits with all humility, knowing this is the hand of the Lord for salvation that has come upon us.  The glory, honour, and praise are always the Lord’s and not of ourselves.  We are unworthy servants called to minister the Gospel in the same way as the Apostles.

Col 1:25  Whereof I am made a minister, according to the dispensation of God which is given to me for you, to fulfil the word of God;

Col 1:26  Even the mystery which hath been hid from ages and from generations, but now is made manifest to his saints:

Col 1:27  To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory:

To this end, the Gospel, we now preach, and warn about the new standard of holiness so that those ordained to hear are made perfect by the indwelling Word of our Heavenly Father.  Our life is no longer our own; we belong to the Lord and are labouring night and day to preach this Gospel.

Col 1:28  Whom we preach, warning every man, and teaching every man in all wisdom; that we may present every man perfect in Christ Jesus:

Col 1:29  Whereunto I also labour, striving according to his working, which worketh in me mightily.

The Gospel is always to be preached boldly and with great power.  The Lord set the example, speaking with boldness and authority that amazed the people.  We preach the Lord, the power of the living Word, and the promise that comes to every man who believes in their heart and confesses with their mouth.

Act 4:13  Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were unlearned and ignorant men, they marvelled; and they took knowledge of them, that they had been with Jesus.

When the power unto salvation comes, one cannot do anything but preach boldly, which the “Jews” in the flesh always misconstrue as exalting oneself.  We pray for the Spirit to fall upon the house of God.

Act 4:31  And when they had prayed, the place was shaken where they were assembled together; and they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and they spake the word of God with boldness

We now preach boldly and with power, not to exalt ourselves but for the sake of Christ and His Gospel.

2Co 4:5  For we preach not ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord; and ourselves your servants for Jesus’ sake.

We are bold because we love the brethren unfeigned.  Our whole purpose for living has been changed.  The old is gone, and the new has come when one is given the Gospel.  Our life consists of serving brethren and all the Gentiles out there in the world who may read, by giving them the commandments of eternal life.  This is the Gospel and the true love of God.  God has given us the gift of His abiding love, and we are now commanded to give it to others appointed to receive it.

1Jn 4:11  Beloved, if God so loved us, we ought also to love one another.

Hearing the commandments opens eyes and heals.  This is the same as giving mercy, and Christ always answers a plea for mercy with the opening of eyes or healing.  When this zeal for the house of the Lord is put into us, one has passed from spiritual death unto life eternal.

1Jn 3:14  We know that we have passed from death unto life, because we love the brethren. He that loveth not his brother abideth in death.

The love of God is always about the commandments.  We just do the commandments and give them to others. That is what Christ did and is the very definition of love [1Jo 5:3]

Joh 13:34  A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another.

Having recently begun preaching the Gospel, it did not take long to be charged with exalting ourselves.  This is a complete misreading of the boldness we have coming out of our mouths by way of the Living Word.  It is judging us by the flesh and not righteously by looking to the Word.  It is the spirit of the Pharisees.  We pray and hope some eyes are opened to see that the Living Christ has come by way of the Gospel.  Our prior letter hopefully burns up the false doctrine on those who believe a lie about the Nicolaitan spirit.

The power of the living commandments requires one to speak boldly and boast in the Lord who is in them.  This is the Lord’s work in His ministers, and no flesh can shut us up.   All come to see this when their time comes, and when they also receive the promise of the Spirit.  No man shall stop us from doing the Lord’s work.

2Co 11:10  As the truth of Christ is in me, no man shall stop me of this boasting in the regions of Achaia.

2Co 11:11  Wherefore? because I love you not? God knoweth.

All the Lord’s prophets and ministers spoke boldly.  It is a common denominator and is not of them; it is the power of the Lord being manifest by the WORD they speak.  The Words, the Gospel, cannot be contained.  We gladly endure this persecution and rejection for the sake of the elect whom our words of Truth are saving when they are heard.

2Ti 2:9  Wherein I suffer trouble, as an evil doer, even unto bonds; but the word of God is not bound

2Ti 2:10  Therefore I endure all things for the elect’s sakes, that they may also obtain the salvation which is in Christ Jesus with eternal glory.

The call of Jeremiah is our call, and every minister of the Gospel in every age.  He appoints those He appoints and empowers them to do His work, speaking Words of fire that burn up the wood.

Jer 1:7  But the LORD said unto me, Say not, I am a child: for thou shalt go to all that I shall send thee, and whatsoever I command thee thou shalt speak.

Jer 1:9  Then the LORD put forth his hand, and touched my mouth. And the LORD said unto me, Behold, I have put my words in thy mouth.

Jer 1:10  See, I have this day set thee over the nations and over the kingdoms, to root out, and to pull down, and to destroy, and to throw down, to build, and to plant.

The Apostle Paul wasted no time in preaching boldly once the scales were taken off his eyes and the power was given.   Carnal minds judge these things and vastly underestimate the power of God to work in those sent.  He does quick work in the earth of those to whom He comes.

Act 9:20  And straightway he preached Christ in the synagogues, that he is the Son of God.

Act 9:21  But all that heard him were amazed, and said; Is not this he that destroyed them which called on this name in Jerusalem, ….

When the Gospel is received, the power has come, and all things are changed.  The Lord comes quickly, and those so endued, arise and IMMEDIATELY preach the Gospel with boldness.  It happened to all the Apostles that way, and so it is today on those on whom the promise rests.

Act 9:27  But Barnabas took him, and brought him to the apostles, and declared unto them how he had seen the Lord in the way, and that he had spoken to him, and how he had preached boldly at Damascus in the name of Jesus.

We are to let no man despise our spiritual youth and judge us in the flesh in this regard.  Reproach of brethren is to be expected.  The standard for our conduct has been greatly raised.

1Ti 4:12  Let no one despise your youth, but be an example to the believers in word, in conduct, in love, in spirit, in faith, in purity.

The Offices of the Church:

Another lie that needs to be burned regards the gifts and calling of God.  Not everyone in the Body has the same calling or gets the same gift or even the same measure of faith.  It is all the Lord’s doing.  Jealousies, accusations, and self-exaltation are never the work of God but the tempter.

Rom 12:3  For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith.

Rom 12:4  For as we have many members in one body, and all members have not the same office:

Even our measure of faith is different and set by God.  The Lord sets and appoints the offices of the church and equips all who are anointed to go preach the Gospel as His ministers.  It is NOT everyone, it is only SOME.

Eph 4:11  And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers;

Eph 4:12  For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:

Eph 4:13  Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ:

The shepherds of the sheep of the lost house of Israel are those who first enter by the door that is the Gospel, the Living Word of Commandments.  The Lord brings them through the door, and in turn, they become the shepherds.  As the Father sent Christ, so Christ sends us to preach the Gospel after we enter in by the door.  The door is the commandments.

Joh 10:2  But he that entereth in by the door is the shepherd of the sheep.
Joh 10:3  To him the porter openeth; and the sheep hear his voice: and he calleth his own sheep by name, and leadeth them out.

Are we exalting ourselves for claiming this?  God forbid.  We have been appointed to this role, and in saying that, there is NO BOAST.  Judge us by our Words and the works that are made manifest in time.  This is our ministry, and we go to the houses the Lord sends us and hope the peace of His Gospel rests on that house.  We expect trials, as it is all foretold, as there must be divisions among us.  This is how the Lord sifts His flock.  It is not true to believe otherwise.

Luk 12:51  Do you suppose that I came to give peace on earth? I tell you, not at all, but rather division.

Luk 12:52  For from now on five in one house will be divided: three against two, and two against three.

Those who preach the Gospel are not to be muzzled, meaning they are to be allowed to speak and eat in the houses where they abide.  The immediate reaction of those still in the dead letter without the power is to muzzle those the Lord has sent to save them.   We do not condemn anyone and hope to reach all in the house and pray that the Lord is merciful to open eyes.  Those whom the Lord sends who labour in the Word and bring the studies are not to be stopped from speaking, but are worthy of double honour.  This brings glory not to ourselves but to the Lord who sent us.

1Ti 5:17  Let the elders that rule well be counted worthy of double honour, especially they who labour in the word and doctrine.

1Ti 5:18  For the scripture saith, Thou shalt not muzzle the ox that treadeth out the corn. And, The labourer is worthy of his reward.

Here is a second witness beseeching those to esteem and love them who work in preaching the Gospel.

1Th 5:12  And we beseech you, brethren, to know them which labour among you, and are over you in the Lord, and admonish you;

1Th 5:13  And to esteem them very highly in love for their work’s sake. And be at peace among yourselves.

Those who preach the Gospel are to be bold as a lion [Pro 28:1].  We magnify our office with the boldness by which we preach or write these letters, in hopes it provokes some of you to receive the Gospel.

Rom 11:13  For I speak to you Gentiles, inasmuch as I am the apostle of the Gentiles, I magnify mine office:

Rom 11:14  If by any means I may provoke to emulation them which are my flesh, and might save some of them.

The “Jews” still in the flesh, having the “circumcision of knowledge”, have the hardest time with this.  Our newly formed words of power, all from the Lord, come across to them as boasting before the Lord opens their eyes to see that He has sent Christ to them by way of His servants.  We are told most do not know the sign of the times or the hour of His visitation.  Their mistake is thinking they already have the power, that their resurrection is already past.  With such a belief, they are blinded to receive the one true Gospel they do not yet have.

2Ti 2:17  And their word will eat as doth a canker: of whom is Hymenaeus and Philetus;

2Ti 2:18  Who concerning the truth have erred, saying that the resurrection is past already; and overthrow the faith of some.

This overthrows the faith of some, who do not have the power of the Gospel yet.  The Word tells them to wait, but some tell them they already have it.  We are saved by the hope of our faith, which is the hope of substance not yet seen.  If one already has something, they no longer are hoping for it.  We pray that some understand the seriousness of this.   [See Rom 8:20-24].

There can never be any outward or inward boasting in the hearts of any man, as they do NOTHING to save themselves.  This is the strong delusion all fulfil before the true light, the day star, the Gospel arises in their hearts.  The work of salvation is all of God and NONE of man. By grace you are saved, it is a gift, not of yourself, and therefore no man can boast.

Eph 2:6  And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus:

Eph 2:7  That in the ages to come he might shew the exceeding riches of his grace in his kindness toward us through Christ Jesus.

Eph 2:8  For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:

Eph 2:9  Not of works, lest any man should boast.

Only the coming of the Living Christ into our hearts, the true grace, the circumcision done without hands, changes us and brings forth new life. This happens not on our timeline or call but upon the Lord.  He must come to us the second time.

We have been raised with Christ by the strong arm of the Lord.  Christ now sends us in the same way He was sent.  The Lord comes suddenly through His messengers who bring the Gospel.

Rev 1:1  The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave unto him, to shew unto his servants things which must shortly come to pass; and he sent and signified it by his angel unto his servant John:

The angels of the Lord sent to preach the Gospel are just men the Lord has equipped and sent forth.  No glory or exaltation is wanted, and we rebuke any who respond in such a way.

Rev 22:8  And I John saw these things, and heard them. And when I had heard and seen, I fell down to worship before the feet of the angel which shewed me these things.

Rev 22:9  Then saith he unto me, See thou do it not: for I am thy fellowservant, and of thy brethren the prophets, and of them which keep the sayings of this book: worship God.

By preaching the Gospel, we are inviting those who hear us to the wedding feast.  But most do not come and turn on the Lord’s servants, rejecting the Gospel as the parable says.

Mat 22:2  The kingdom of heaven is like unto a certain king, which made a marriage for his son,

Mat 22:3  And sent forth his servants to call them that were bidden to the wedding: and they would not come.

Those of the circumcision are trusting in their knowledge and sweat of their labor, their spiritual riches to save them.  They are the ones boasting of themselves in spirit and taking away the glory that belongs to God.  That way is the works salvation Paul wrote about that saves nobody, not themselves nor their brothers. [See Galatians 2:16]

Psa 49:6  They that trust in their wealth, and boast themselves in the multitude of their riches;

Psa 49:7  None of them can by any means redeem his brother, nor give to God a ransom for him:

It is called strong delusion for a reason.   Salvation is of the Lord, period.   This is the hidden wisdom, the mystery that so few are given to see.

Jon 2:9  … Salvation is of the LORD.

Defending the Ministry of the Gospel

The ministry of the Gospel needs to be defended.  We are not sent to please men but God.  The Lord’s angels sent to preach the everlasting Gospel [Rev 14:6] go to both “Jews” and Gentiles.  Stiff resistance and persecution because of the Word is guaranteed.

2Co 10:1  Now I Paul myself beseech you by the meekness and gentleness of Christ, who in presence am base among you, but being absent am bold toward you:

2Co 10:2  But I beseech you, that I may not be bold when I am present with that confidence, wherewith I think to be bold against some, which think of us as if we walked according to the flesh.

2Co 10:3  For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh:

We speak not of ourselves, but mighty words of power that destroy all the lies that stand in the way of the little children receiving the Gospel of Truth. Judge the Words we speak, the commandments, and rightly dividing the Word of Truth.  We write weighty letters now by the hand of the Spirit to correct and admonish you to receive ye the Gospel. Do not judge on outward appearances.

2Co 10:7  Do ye look on things after the outward appearance? If any man trust to himself that he is Christ’s, let him of himself think this again, that, as he is Christ’s, even so are we Christ’s.

2Co 10:8  For though I should boast somewhat more of our authority, which the Lord hath given us for edification, and not for your destruction, I should not be ashamed:

2Co 10:9  That I may not seem as if I would terrify you by letters.

2Co 10:10  For his letters, say they, are weighty and powerful; but his bodily presence is weak, and his speech contemptible.

The light of Christ is upon all who preach this Gospel.  There was much hypocrisy in our past lives.  But there is no longer, as our actions and deeds are now being wrought in God, consistent with the Words of Power and Authority given to us to minister.

2Co 10:11  Let such an one think this, that, such as we are in word by letters when we are absent, such will we be also in deed when we are present.

The only measuring we use to compare is the plumbline, the living Gospel of commandments.  Any other measuring and comparing of one with another is unwise.

2Co 10:12  For we dare not make ourselves of the number, or compare ourselves with some that commend themselves: but they measuring themselves by themselves, and comparing themselves among themselves, are not wise.

2Co 10:13  But we will not boast of things without our measure, but according to the measure of the rule which God hath distributed to us, a measure to reach even unto you.

Our boast is in the Lord.  We do not work for pay.  Our only reward is the enlargement and fruit born of those who receive the Gospel we preach.

2Co 10:14  For we stretch not ourselves beyond our measure, as though we reached not unto you: for we are come as far as to you also in preaching the gospel of Christ:

2Co 10:15  Not boasting of things without our measure, that is, of other men’s labours; but having hope, when your faith is increased, that we shall be enlarged by you according to our rule abundantly,

We therefore do not boast in ourselves, but we do glory in the power and authority the Lord has given us to preach.  Only those whom the Lord commends are approved; man’s commendations mean nothing.

2Co 10:17  But he that glorieth, let him glory in the Lord.

2Co 10:18  For not he that commendeth himself is approved, but whom the Lord commendeth.

1Co 1:31  That, according as it is written, He that glorieth, let him glory in the Lord.

The Lord has commended us and commissioned us to go preach this Gospel of the Living Commandments.   Henceforth, our entire life is in the Lord.  Our boast is only in the Lord and the glory He raises in those who hear His words of power.  We follow the Lord, having been made His priests.

Isa 61:1  The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon me; because the LORD hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound;

Isa 61:3  To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the LORD, that he might be glorified.

Isa 61:6  But ye shall be named the Priests of the LORD: men shall call you the Ministers of our God: ye shall eat the riches of the Gentiles, and in their glory shall ye boast yourselves.

Paul came to see this and wrote the same.

1Th 2:19  For what is our hope, or joy, or crown of rejoicing? Are not even ye in the presence of our Lord Jesus Christ at his coming?

1Th 2:20  For ye are our glory and joy.

Men come to salvation at different times, as there are multiple watches when the Lord comes in every generation.  He is building His church one saint at a time.  There are many saints in the making who wait for Him and the power of His promise.  We tarry with them with much patience and longsuffering and pray for the rain of the Lord.  So long as the peace of the house remains, we stay in that house and do the Lord’s work, which is preaching His Gospel.

Mat 10:11  And into whatsoever city or town ye shall enter, enquire who in it is worthy; and there abide till ye go thence.

Mat 10:12  And when ye come into an house, salute it.

Mat 10:13  And if the house be worthy, let your peace come upon it: but if it be not worthy, let your peace return to you.

Mat 10:14  And whosoever shall not receive you, nor hear your words, when ye depart out of that house or city, shake off the dust of your feet.

A mystery of godliness is coming to understand that not all Israel is Israel.   The Lord only comes to those predestinated to be adopted as Sons in the appointed time.  Many are called, but only a few are chosen as we keep learning. The difficult part is being rejected by their brethren, who mistakenly think we are exalting ourselves for speaking what the Lord has given us.  Paul’s words strike our hearts as we sorrow for the rejection of those with whom we have walked a good way.  God’s purposes in election are becoming clearer.

Rom 9:1  I say the truth in Christ, I lie not, my conscience also bearing me witness in the Holy Ghost,

Rom 9:2  That I have great heaviness and continual sorrow in my heart.

Rom 9:3  For I could wish that myself were accursed from Christ for my brethren, my kinsmen according to the flesh:

Rom 9:4  Who are Israelites; to whom pertaineth the adoption, and the glory, and the covenants, and the giving of the law, and the service of God, and the promises;

Rom 9:5  Whose are the fathers, and of whom as concerning the flesh Christ came, who is over all, God blessed for ever. Amen.

Rom 9:6  Not as though the word of God hath taken none effect. For they are not all Israel, which are of Israel:

It is not all of Abraham’s children who are counted as the seed of Christ.  Only those in Isaac are the seed.  This is a parable showing us again that many are called, few are chosen, and even fewer are being made faithful in the end.

Rom 9:7  Neither, because they are the seed of Abraham, are they all children: but, In Isaac shall thy seed be called.

Rom 9:8  That is, They which are the children of the flesh, these are not the children of God: but the children of the promise are counted for the seed.

The Lord has mercy on whom He chooses and hardens the rest and keeps them blind.  The Lord is building His church; man is not building it.

Rom 9:15  For he saith to Moses, I will have mercy on whom I will have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I will have compassion.

Rom 9:16  So then it is not of him that willeth, nor of him that runneth, but of God that sheweth mercy. [mercy opens their eyes to the Gospel]

A stone has been laid in Zion, in the assemblies of the saints, when the Gospel has been preached.  Some receive it and others do not; thus, the Lord’s purposes in election are being made manifest to those on whom His mercy has fallen.  Some stumble over the stone [the Gospel], others receive it with meekness and are brought into the marvelous light.

Rom 9:30  What shall we say then? That the Gentiles, which followed not after righteousness, have attained to righteousness, even the righteousness which is of faith.

Rom 9:31  But Israel, which followed after the law of righteousness, hath not attained to the law of righteousness.

Rom 9:32  Wherefore? Because they sought it not by faith, but as it were by the works of the law. For they stumbled at that stumblingstone; [Christ, the Gospel of Living Commandments]

Rom 9:33  As it is written, Behold, I lay in Sion a stumblingstone and rock of offence: and whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.

Those who reject the Gospel, thinking they need nothing and the resurrection is already past, have the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees but not of Christ.  We desire that all our brethren in the flesh be saved.  To this end, we tarry and continue to preach with all boldness because faith comes by hearing the Gospel [Rom 10:17].

Rom 10:1  Brethren, my heart’s desire and prayer to God for Israel is, that they might be saved.

Rom 10:2  For I bear them record that they have a zeal of God, but not according to knowledge.

Rom 10:3  For they being ignorant of God’s righteousness, and going about to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted themselves unto the righteousness of God.

Rom 10:4  For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to every one that believeth.

Those who read who do not yet have this understanding and the power from God must wait for it.  They are to pray for it to come and be patient, but they first must believe it.  It is hard for a rich man, thinking he already has it, to enter into the kingdom of God.  We are telling you these truths to save some of you, and it is not boasting.  When the living Lord comes via His angels, preaching the Gospel to ears prepared to hear, they shall see and understand.

Mat 24:31  And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.

Those redeemed by the hand of the Lord and the coming of His Gospel into their hearts, proclaim it boldly with great power.  This is not boasting, it is giving the glory and honour to the Lord.

Psa 107:1  O give thanks unto the LORD, for he is good: for his mercy endureth for ever.

Psa 107:2  Let the redeemed of the LORD say so, whom he hath redeemed from the hand of the enemy;

We look forward to hearing many more of the redeemed of the Lord say so in the coming days and years as the Lord gives.

Lead Us Not Into Temptation

Temptations and Trials Bring Salvation

The Lord tells us to pray His prayer daily.  The prayer asks for the Father to come via Christ, the living commandments.  This is the living bread that enters into our hearts, into the kingdom of God within, and brings deliverance from sin.

Mat 6:9  After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.

Mat 6:10  Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.

Mat 6:11  Give us this day our daily bread.

Mat 6:12  And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.

Mat 6:13  And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.

In this prayer, we ask the Lord to lead us not into temptation but to deliver us from evil.  This is asking for deliverance from all our carnal thoughts and lusts that define the world and bring forth the wages of sin.  The prayer is asking for more power unto salvation, more of the commandments, more rain for our earth, so the righteousness of Christ may spring forth.

Rev 22:20  He which testifieth these things saith, Surely I come quickly. Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus.

Christ is commanding us to pray this prayer daily.  This prayer asks for more of the daily bread [the commandments] every day.  This is the Gospel being shed abroad in our hearts.  The same is known as the love of God, meaning our obedience [1Jo 5:3, Joh 14:15], now being made manifest by the work of His Spirit.

Rom 5:5  And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us.

This is how our deliverance from evil is accomplished.  The kingdom of God within us is being built up in righteousness as we pray daily, asking for the commandments to come forth to deliver us from evil by the power of the Gospel.  Part of the prayer confesses our sin and asks for forgiveness in the same way we forgive all those who trespass against us.  We ask for more of the Father’s Spirit, which He put into the Son, to come daily.  We are asking for the truth we already know in our mind, our heaven, to manifest in our earth, which is our body and walk.  Paul says to pray without ceasing, as this hastens the coming of the Lord to our inward parts with the power to save us.

Understanding what tempts us, how temptation works, and how to overcome our temptations, through God’s power, is essential. Let’s cover key topics related to common temptations we face.

Who is the Tempter?

Satan is the tempter.  The carnal mind is the tempter, and this spirit lives in all flesh until the work of God is completed.  The tempter comes to all of us and is used of God to work righteousness in us and prove our faith.  The first test was in the Garden of Eden when Eve was deceived by the serpent when the commandments of God were questioned.

Gen 3:1  Now the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden?

All temptation is temptation to sin and break the Lord’s commandments.  The devil tempted the Lord, and for this reason, this spirit was created by the Father of all spirits.

Mar 1:13  And Christ was there in the wilderness forty days, tempted of Satan; and was with the wild beasts; and the angels ministered unto him.

The devil is the instrument of God’s creation and is used to work salvation in us by tempting us and causing us to err from the way.

Isa 54:16  Behold, I have created the smith that bloweth the coals in the fire, and that bringeth forth an instrument for his work; and I have created the waster to destroy.

Job 26:13  By his spirit he hath garnished the heavens; his hand hath formed the crooked serpent.

The Lord sends Satan to try Job [YOU], accusing Job before God.  Satan walks up and down on everyone’s earth, looking for weakness to tempt us to sin against the Lord.

Job 2:2  And the LORD said unto Satan, From whence comest thou? And Satan answered the LORD, and said, From going to and fro in the earth, and from walking up and down in it.

Job 2:3  And the LORD said unto Satan, Hast thou considered my servant Job, that there is none like him in the earth, a perfect and an upright man, one that feareth God, and escheweth evil? and still he holdeth fast his integrity, although thou movedst me against him, to destroy him without cause.

Job 2:4  And Satan answered the LORD, and said, Skin for skin, yea, all that a man hath will he give for his life.

Job 2:5  But put forth thine hand now, and touch his bone and his flesh, and he will curse thee to thy face.

Job 2:6  And the LORD said unto Satan, Behold, he is in thine hand; but save his life.

Satan is sent to tempt us and thereby prove our faithfulness to the Lord’s Word. Peter warns us to remain vigilant because Satan is always around the corner, even if we are not aware.  This is why we are to remain steadfast in the faith, always looking to the commandments, as opportune times often come in the carnal world in which we live.

1Pe 5:8  Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:

1Pe 5:9  Whom resist stedfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world.

Satan, also known as the devil and is the father of all that are carnally minded.   This spirit is the carnal mind and easily provokes us so that an accusation can then be made.  We battle the tempter daily in our own minds and our walk in the world, and dialogue with the people of Israel.  We see this in all the interactions with the Pharisees, who were tempting Christ but who never sinned or acted on the temptation. How we answer is always with the commandments.

Luk 11:53  And as he said these things unto them, the scribes and the Pharisees began to urge him vehemently, and to provoke him to speak of many things:

Luk 11:54  Laying wait for him, and seeking to catch something out of his mouth, that they might accuse him

Luk 20:23  But he perceived their craftiness, and said unto them, Why tempt ye me? [We are Christ in the world]

The devil is a murderer [a hater in spirit] and is called the father of all lies.  Those who walk by the flesh, having not the Spirit, cannot hear the words of truth as they are bound to the father of all lies, as Christ tells them.

Joh 8:44  Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.

All the lusts of our flesh are lusts of the devil.  The reason Christ comes to us is to destroy the works of the devil.  All of our sin comes from the spirit of Satan that is in carnal flesh.

1Jn 3:8  He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God [the living commandments] was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.

Satan is also known as the father of death because to be carnally minded, having that mindset IS DEATH [Romans 8:6].

Heb 2:14  Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil;

Heb 2:15  And deliver them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage.

Only through the living commandments, the Gospel, which is Christ, are we set free from this bondage and saved in our appointed time. This spirit of Satan loves to accuse the brethren.  Salvation begins when this spirit is cast out of our heaven, and we no longer walk by the spirit of the carnal mind.  We are freed from that bondage, the grip that sin has on our lives.  The power of the Gospel, the commands have come to us.

Rev 12:10  And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night.

God Tempts Nobody to Sin

Christ is not leading us into temptation to sin. Christ, the living commandments, the Gospel, now lives in our hearts, and this Word sits on the throne of the heart.  The Spirit of Christ does not tempt anyone to sin, so we cannot blame the Lord.

Gal 2:17  But if, while we seek to be justified by Christ, we ourselves also are found sinners, is therefore Christ the minister of sin? God forbid.

We are tempted by our own lusts to do evil.  James correctly states that the Lord, meaning the Holy Spirit living within us, tempts nobody to sin.  We are tempted when we are led away from the commandments and do not look upon them.  The lusts [the carnal thoughts in man] are the spirit of satan in our flesh and what tempts us to sin.  Embracing the commandments is the only way out.

Jas 1:13  Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God: for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempteth he any man:

Jas 1:14  But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed.

Jas 1:15  Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death.

Jas 1:16  Do not err, my beloved brethren

John says the same but differently.  When we stand in Christ, meaning the living commandments that are the Word, we cannot sin.  Whatever is born of God cannot sin.  Thus, the true litmus test for who is born of God can be determined by looking at the fruit of our walk.  If we continue in sin, we are not walking in the Spirit, and remain children of the devil, being led by our lusts [our father the devil].  We need to pray for more bread and more rain.

Jn 3:9  Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.

1Jn 3:10  In this the children of God are manifest, and the children of the devil: whosoever doeth not righteousness is not of God, neither he that loveth not his brother.

Our instructions are always consistent, and there is no variability in how we walk or the consequences of straying. Paul agrees and attests.

Gal 5:16  This I say then, Walk in the Spirit [the living commandments], and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.

Gal 5:17  For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would.

Gal 5:18  But if ye be led of the Spirit [the commands], ye are not under the law.

Gal 5:24  And they that are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts.

The Lord, the living Word, does tempt us, but His temptation is for us to do good or obey Him, not to disobey.  These are also known as trials of our faith, which is different than temptations to do evil brought by Satan.  The Lord is proving to see if we are faithful to the commandments.

The biggest trial our faith is being asked to lay down the newborn life within us, after the commandments come by becoming a living sacrifice.  This was the trial of faith given to Abraham in the shadow of the Old Testament.

Gen 22:1  And it came to pass after these things, that God did tempt Abraham, and said unto him, Abraham: and he said, Behold, here I am.

Gen 22:2  And he said, Take now thy son, thine only son Isaac, whom thou lovest, and get thee into the land of Moriah; and offer him there for a burnt offering upon one of the mountains which I will tell thee of.

Proving our faith and having us do good is what the Lord does.  Satan proves our faith by tempting us to do evil.  Both types are the trials of our faith that work together for the greater good of salvation.

Trials and Temptations are Teaching Us:

The temptations that test our faith are how we are taught the fear of the Lord, and our heavenly Father chastens and scourges us [Heb 12:6] when we disobey the commandments.  The chastening is needed to learn how to do righteousness and be holy in all of our behavior.  It is the giving of the commandments to one another and Israel that we need to hear so that we sin not.

Exo 20:20  And Moses said unto the people, Fear not: for God is come to prove you, and that his fear may be before your faces, that ye sin not.

1Jn 2:1  My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not.

One cannot enter the promised land until we are tried and proven, falling down seven times and are fed the true manna from heaven, the living commandments.  The Scriptures must be fulfilled as we live by every Word. All our successes and our failures have already been written.   All things are indeed ours to fulfill on the journey.

Deu 8:2  And thou shalt remember all the way which the LORD thy God led thee these forty years in the wilderness, to humble thee, and to prove thee, to know what was in thine heart, whether thou wouldest keep his commandments, or no.

Deu 8:3  And he humbled thee, and suffered thee to hunger, and fed thee with manna, which thou knewest not, neither did thy fathers know; that he might make thee know that man doth not live by bread only, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of the LORD doth man live.

We tarry with the Body prepared for us until the power of the living commandments comes.  It will come; we need to wait for it.  Waiting and long-suffering with one another is teaching us patience.  But believe the Lord and His promise to bring us the indwelling power unto salvation.

Jas 5:7  Be patient therefore, brethren, unto the coming of the Lord. Behold, the husbandman waiteth for the precious fruit of the earth, and hath long patience for it, until he receive the early and latter rain.

Jas 5:8  Be ye also patient; stablish your hearts: for the coming of the Lord draweth nigh.

We rejoice in this gift, but know the road gets harder as the day of the great tribulation has come.  The more we pass the many temptations, the more Jesus Christ is revealed in us until His work is finished and we are saved from our sins.

1Pe 1:6  Wherein ye greatly rejoice, though now for a season, if need be, ye are in heaviness through manifold temptations:

1Pe 1:7  That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ:

Those with the Spirit of God in them are in a war against the tempter and his many lying spirits that come to tempt us into sinning [straying from the commandments]. We can do all things through Christ, by standing in the power of the commandments.  This is how every battle [temptation] is won and eventually total victory in the war as the salvation of our souls comes.

Eph 6:10  Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. [The commandments are the power]

Our Disobedience Tempts the Lord:

We tempt Christ when we disobey the Lord.  He is a jealous God.  All the lessons of Israel dying in the wilderness and being struck with many plagues are there for our admonition to remind us to walk in obedience, to walk in the faith of the commandments.  When we tempt the Lord by disobeying, He sends more of the things we don’t need to turn our hearts back to the commandments.  He sends more serpents, even more temptations to put us in bondage, so our hearts are turned back to the commandments.

1Co 10:9  Neither let us tempt Christ, as some of them also tempted, and were destroyed of serpents.

1Co 10:10  Neither murmur ye, as some of them also murmured, and were destroyed of the destroyer.

1Co 10:11  Now all these things happened unto them for ensamples: and they are written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the world are come.

1Co 10:12  Wherefore let him that thinketh he standeth take heed lest he fall.

Our disobedience tempts the Lord to chasten and scourge us so we may learn how to obey His commandments.  Here is the message in the shadow of the Old Testament.

Deu 6:14  Ye shall not go after other gods, of the gods of the people which are round about you;

Deu 6:16  Ye shall not tempt the LORD your God, as ye tempted him in Massah.

Deu 6:17  Ye shall diligently keep the commandments of the LORD your God, and his testimonies, and his statutes, which he hath commanded thee.

Our willful disobedience, knowing to do right and still not doing it, brings the most severe punishment to turn us back to Him.  Having received the Gospel, the ante is raised for our disobedience.

Heb 10:26  For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins,

Heb 10:27  But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries.

We quickly learn not to tempt our Lord when judgment has fallen on us.

Resisting Temptations and Getting the Victory

When we are tempted, we follow the example of Christ, who resisted the temptations of the devil, always by answering with the commandments.

1 – Luk 4:4  And Jesus answered him, saying, It is written, That man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word of God.

2 – Luk 4:8  And Jesus answered and said unto him, Get thee behind me, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve.

3 – Luk 4:12  And Jesus answering said unto him, It is said, Thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God.

When we resist the devil by answering the temptation with the commandments, the devil flees after a little while.  We win the battle but have not yet won the war, so we fight on.

Luk 4:13  And when the devil had ended all the temptation, he departed from him for a season.

James gives a second witness to the path to victory.  We submit to the commandments, resist the devil, and he flees from us.

Jas 4:7  Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.

When we look to the living commandments that dwell in our hearts, which are testified in the Scriptures, we overcome our sin.  Jesus Christ, the Living Word, is the high priest sitting on His throne in our heart.   It is to Him, the very image of the Father, who is the Holy Commandments, that we are finding both the mercy and the grace that save.

Heb 4:14  Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession.

Heb 4:15  For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin.

Heb 4:16  Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.

Mercy is the opening of spiritual eyes to see the commandment and the instructions unto godliness.  The grace is the chastening by our Lord to learn to obey them.  When we follow the Spirit, the angel living within us, we are kept in the way of life.  We are to take heed and follow the commandments. If we do that, our inward adversary, the devil, is no match for the power of the Holy Spirit working mightily within us.  Greater is He that is in us, than he that is in the world.  The devil is cut off from our promised land.

Exo 23:20  Behold, I send an Angel before thee, to keep thee in the way, and to bring thee into the place which I have prepared.

Exo 23:22  But if thou shalt indeed obey his voice, and do all that I speak; then I will be an enemy unto thine enemies, and an adversary unto thine adversaries.

The way of overcoming is always the same; it is spoken of in many different words, symbols, and parables.  It is the mystery of the Gospel, now being revealed.  When we are tempted by our lusts, which are the lust of the devil, those thoughts, the fiery serpents come out and bite and devour us.  The plague of serpents is stayed by our lifting up the commandments, the living Christ, and looking to them.  When we do this, we overcome and enter into eternal life.

Joh 3:14  And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up:

Joh 3:15  That whosoever believeth in him [the Gospel] should not perish, but have eternal life.

Disciples of Jesus Christ are given the power through the Gospel.  With the indwelling Spirit of commandments, we are given power over all of Satan’s army of liars through these commandments.  We rejoice knowing we are the beloved of God, a blessing and honor given to precious few.

Luk 10:18  And he said unto them, I beheld Satan as lightning fall from heaven.

Luk 10:19  Behold, I give unto you power [the Gospel] to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.

Luk 10:20  Notwithstanding in this rejoice not, that the spirits are subject unto you; but rather rejoice, because your names are written in heaven.

The end of the devil in our life happens in the lake of fire, which is also the second death.  This death of death is the last enemy to be destroyed.

Rev 20:10  And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever.

Rev 20:14  And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.

1Co 15:26  The last enemy that shall be destroyed is death.

When the tempter, the devil, is no more, death is swallowed up in the victory that is Jesus Christ, the living and abiding Word of God.

1Co 15:55  O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory?

1Co 15:56  The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law.

1Co 15:57  But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.

These many trials of our faith and the resulting scourging when we miss the mark are more precious than gold because they create the rare gold of Ophir within the temple of God, which temple we are.  As our obedience is proven, the temple walls are lined with this gold from which the shadow of the true temple [Solomon’s temple – 1Ch 29:4] was built.  This is the true riches of God, not the knowledge.  We earn this gold only by these heavy trials of our faith that include being tempted by the devil to sin.  Without this gold, we remain poor, naked, and blind.

Rev 3:18  I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich; and white raiment, that thou mayest be clothed, and that the shame of thy nakedness do not appear; and anoint thine eyes with eyesalve, that thou mayest see.

Final Exhortation:

We learn to be content with our pay, the wages, the commandments the Lord gives us.  The pursuit of tongues and more prophecies ends as we grow into this understanding of the Gospel. Godliness with contentment is great gain, and the pursuit of more spiritual riches becomes a temptation and snare, versus just doing the commandments.

1Ti 6:8  And having food and raiment let us be therewith content.

1Ti 6:9  But they that will be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and hurtful lusts, which drown men in destruction and perdition.

The time of our salvation is now.  We are to watch, look to the commandments, and pray the Lord’s prayer daily.  We only have the earnest deposit of the power now and still abide in weak flesh.

Mat 26:41  Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.

Once we have received the power of the Gospel, we always have a way of escape.  Our escape is to access the living commandments that is the throne of mercy and grace.  That is where we go to escape the temptation.

1Co 10:13  There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.

We shall overcome and hasten that day as we earnestly look to the Lord and the power He is bringing to save us from our sin.

The Tree of Life

The Commands of Christ Jesus, the power of an endless Life

Ronel, and my beloved husband, Pete, a servant of Jesus Christ, separated unto the Gospel of God, to the strangers scattered throughout the world, Grace unto you, and peace, be multiplied. Speaking to the Church to comfort, edify, and exhort [1 Co 14:3]. Who will believe our report?

Eph 1:3  Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ:

Eph 1:4 According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love:

The Two Trees Part 2 – The Tree of Life

In the letter, The Two Trees Part 1, we see how we ate of the fruit of the tree of good and evil, which led to spiritual death through God’s design who works all matters after the counsel of His own will [Eph 1:17, Prov 16:1].

Christ is jealous for Zion, His people, and through His great mercy and judgment returns to us, His unfaithful wife, and spiritually raises her from the dead if He has chosen her/us to hear His Voice in this age. Christ forsakes us for a little while, but with great anger and jealousy comes back for His throne.

Jer 33:11 The voice of joy, and the voice of gladness, the voice of the bridegroom, and the voice of the bride, the voice of them that shall say, Praise the LORD of hosts: for the LORD is good; for his mercy endureth for ever: and of them that shall bring the sacrifice of praise into the house of the LORD. For I will cause to return the captivity of the land, as at the first, saith the LORD.

Joh 6:44  No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day.

Joh 6:45 It is written in the prophets, And they shall be all taught of God. Every man therefore that hath heard, and hath learned of the Father, cometh unto me.

Not all calling Christ Lord will enter into the Kingdom of God now, but only those who hear His Voice in every generation. We, the escaped remnant, now have access to the Tree of Life, which is Christ, in us, the Hope of Glory [Rom 11:5, Isa 11:16]. Christ IS come in our flesh, and if anyone disagrees, he has the spirit of anti-Christ.

Joh 6:65  And he said, Therefore said I unto you, that no man can come unto me, except it were given unto him of my Father.

Joh 10:16  And other sheep I have, which are not of this fold: them also I must bring, and they shall hear my voice; and there shall be one fold, and one shepherd.

The Tree of Life is a dry tree in the midst of paradise, which the Lord makes to flourish in this day, the Day of the Lord. He brings down the high tree, the tree of good and evil, to dry up the green tree and exalt the dry tree. Christ, the dry Tree, is exalted above all.

Eze 17:24  And all the trees of the field shall know that I the LORD have brought down the high tree, have exalted the low tree, have dried up the green tree, and have made the dry tree to flourish: I the LORD have spoken and have done it.

Eph 1:20  Which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places,

Eph 1:21  Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come:

The Tree of Life is for the healing of the nations [gentiles], which have Christ’s  Name [Gospel] in their foreheads, the gentiles whom He has chosen in every generation. The rest of the Gentiles will be saved later according to His plan because Christ is the Saviour of all men [1 Tim 4:10]. Only some are saved in every generation, and the end of the ages is come upon us, His people, in every generation.

Rev 22:2  In the midst of the street of it, and on either side of the river, was there the tree of life, which bare twelve manner of fruits, and yielded her fruit every month: and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations.

Rev 22:4 And they shall see his face; and his name shall be in their foreheads.

Act 10:45 And they of the circumcision which believed were astonished, as many as came with Peter, because that on the Gentiles also was poured out the gift of the Holy Ghost.

Act 15:17  That the residue of men might seek after the Lord, and all the Gentiles, upon whom my name is called, saith the Lord, who doeth all these things.

We do not desire Christ at first; there is no comeliness in the dry tree. We have to be born again [John 3:3]. The Lord has to open our eyes to see and our ears to hear His glorious Gospel. This is the Lord’s mercy. Mercy is to raise us up from the dead [spiritual death]. The Gospel is hid.

Isa 53:2 For he shall grow up before him as a tender plant, and as a root out of a dry ground: he hath no form nor comeliness; and when we shall see him, there is no beauty that we should desire him.

Luk 5:38  But new wine must be put into new bottles; and both are preserved.

Luk 5:39 No man also having drunk old wine straightway desireth new: for he saith, The old is better.

The Tree of Life is the knowledge of Christ, the faith of Christ. The knowledge of Christ is to believe that only His blood can save us. His blood, His Words of Spirit and Life [John 6:63] saves us from the wrath to come. His knowledge is the knowledge/mystery of His Gospel; it is the knowledge of His Commandments, so we may do them. It is the knowledge that our own knowledge and good deeds, which are needful, cannot save us.

2Pe 1:3  According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him [Gospel] that hath called us to glory and virtue:

2Pe 1:4 Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.

2Pe 3:18 But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and for ever. Amen.

Col 2:3 In whom are hid all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.

The Tree of Life is the godly wisdom from above, which gives us life eternal [aionios], and that is to know Christ and the Father [John 17:3]. This tree gives us the fear of the Lord, and the fear of the Lord is to obey Him, which is the beginning of wisdom.

Jas 3:17  But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy.

Ecc 7:12 For wisdom is a defence, and money is a defence: but the excellency of knowledge is, that wisdom giveth life to them that have it.

Pro 9:10  The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom: and the knowledge of the holy is understanding.

Pro 16:6  By mercy and truth iniquity is purged: and by the fear of the LORD men depart from evil.

Eating of Christ’s flesh and bones, drinking His blood, the Lord now makes a New Covenant with us, writing His Laws in our hearts and minds. We are renewing creatures; the old life and old mindset is passing away. Our covenant with death, eating of the fruit of the tree of good and evil, does not stand; it is disannulled [Isa 28:18]. Death, where is your sting? We now have a lasting peace. Our God is full of compassion and long-suffering with us, and His mercy is on them that fear Him from generation to generation [Luk 1:50].

Isa 54:10 For the mountains shall depart, and the hills be removed; but my kindness shall not depart from thee, neither shall the covenant of my peace be removed, saith the LORD that hath mercy on thee.

Heb 8:10  For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, saith the Lord; I will put my laws into their mind, and write them in their hearts: and I will be to them a God, and they shall be to me a people:

Heb 8:13  In that he saith, A new covenant, he hath made the first old. Now that which decayeth and waxeth old is ready to vanish away.

1Co 15:55  O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory?

The Lord sends His messenger of the Covenant suddenly, Christ makes a quick work upon the earth in our hearts and in our minds. Christ comes when it is least expected. The heavens are rolled up like a scroll in this Day, and He makes a sudden end to all of our unrighteousness and ungodliness, which is the work of our own hands, the idols of our hearts.

Mal 3:1  Behold, I will send my messenger, and he shall prepare the way before me: and the Lord, whom ye seek, shall suddenly come to his temple, even the messenger of the covenant, whom ye delight in: behold, he shall come, saith the LORD of hosts.

1Th 5:2  For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night.

Having access to the Tree of Life, the Lord takes away our sins and remembers them no more. The Lord visits us with His salvation. He takes away our sins by giving us His Commandments, the judgments of His mouth[Ps 105].

Rom 11:26  And so all Israel shall be saved: as it is written, There shall come out of Sion the Deliverer, and shall turn away ungodliness from Jacob:

Rom 11:27 For this is my covenant unto them, when I shall take away their sins.

Rom 6:22  But now being made free from sin, and become servants to God, ye have your fruit unto holiness, and the end everlasting life.

Rom 6:23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

All of us have sinned and have come short of His glory, and if we say otherwise, we lie.

Rom 3:23  For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;

Rom 3:24  Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus:

Rom 3:25 Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God;

We escape from the corruption of worldly lusts and covetousness [idolatry] because we have fulfilled the judgment of the wicked eating of the fruit of the tree of good and evil. We live by every Word that comes out of the mouth of God. No man escapes, all eat of the fruit of the tree of good and evil and come short of the glory of God. Please read the letter, The Two Trees Part 1, which shows us the fruit of the tree of good and evil, the exalted tree.

Eze 6:9  And they that escape of you shall remember me among the nations whither they shall be carried captives, because I am broken with their whorish heart, which hath departed from me, and with their eyes, which go a whoring after their idols: and they shall lothe themselves for the evils which they have committed in all their abominations.

Eze 6:10 And they shall know that I am the LORD, and that I have not said in vain that I would do this evil unto them.

2Pe 1:4 Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.

The Tree of Life is the true Sabbath’s rest; we cease from our own works and rest in Christ. The Sabbath’s rest is holy unto God. This Sabbath’s rest was made for us, and the Lord reigns supreme over it. We have to become holy to see the Lord; we do not serve two tables, the table of Mammon and the table of the Lord. We do not mix wool and linen in one garment, we do not plow with an ox and ass together, spiritually speaking [Deut 22:10-11].

Heb 4:9  There remaineth therefore a rest to the people of God.

Heb 4:10 For he that is entered into his rest, he also hath ceased from his own works, as God did from his.

Exo 20:8 Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy.

Mar 2:27  And he said unto them, The sabbath was made for man, and not man for the sabbath:

Mar 2:28  Therefore the Son of man is Lord also of the sabbath.

We are now sons of God, chosen before the foundation of the world, and our hearts bear witness that we are the sons of God. The Lord accepts us as sons, and we are no more bastards [Heb 12:8]. We travail in birth and with much pain and sorrow, birth the man-child [Rom 8, Rev 12:13].

Eph 1:4  According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love:

Eph 1:5  Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will,

Gal 4:5  To redeem them that were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons.

Gal 4:6  And because ye are sons, God hath sent forth the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father.

Hos 1:10  Yet the number of the children of Israel shall be as the sand of the sea, which cannot be measured nor numbered; and it shall come to pass, that in the place where it was said unto them, Ye are not my people, there it shall be said unto them, Ye are the sons of the living God.

Eating of the Tree of Life, we have the Promise of eternal Life. We have to abide in His love [keep His Commandments, 2 Pet 3:9] to receive the Promise, which is the Holy Spirit, which are the Words of Spirit and Life [John 6:63]. This is the Power of God and eternal life [life aionios].

1Jn 2:24  Let that therefore abide in you, which ye have heard from the beginning. If that which ye have heard from the beginning shall remain in you, ye also shall continue in the Son, and in the Father.

1Jn 2:25  And this is the promise that he hath promised us, even eternal life.

Rom 6:23  For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

We have to patiently hope and wait for the Promise of God [Heb 10:36]. We receive the Promise of the Spirit of God through the faith of Christ, which is a gift of God. We have to hear and believe the Gospel to be sealed with the Holy Spirit [Eph 1:13]. The Promise is our inheritance, eating of the Tree of Life, which is Christ in us. The Promise belongs to us; our inheritance is in the Lord. The true Israel of God has no inheritance in this world.

Act 2:39  For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call.

Gal 3:14  That the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.

Eze 44:28  And it shall be unto them for an inheritance: I am their inheritance: and ye shall give them no possession in Israel: I am their possession.

Eating of the Tree of Life, we are being made partakers of His divine nature, His anointing stays in us. We have come to the end of our faith, the salvation of our souls. The anointing is the Holy Spirit, the Promise, or the Comforter.

1Jn 2:27 But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him.

Jer 31:34 And they shall teach no more every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the LORD: for they shall all know me, from the least of them unto the greatest of them, saith the LORD: for I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more.

We are now children of the blessed and holy First Resurrection and reign with Christ, sitting on twelve thrones. Our citizenship is New Jerusalem above.

Mat 19:28  And Jesus said unto them, Verily I say unto you, That ye which have followed me, in the regeneration when the Son of man shall sit in the throne of his glory, ye also shall sit upon twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel.

Mat 19:29  And every one that hath forsaken houses, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my name’s sake, shall receive an hundredfold, and shall inherit everlasting life.

Mat 19:30  But many that are first shall be last; and the last shall be first.

Rev 3:12  Him that overcometh will I make a pillar in the temple of my God, and he shall go no more out: and I will write upon him the name of my God, and the name of the city of my God, which is new Jerusalem, which cometh down out of heaven from my God: and I will write upon him my new name.

We rejoice that we are made low, emptying ourselves, becoming servants to God. All of our treasures are fading away. We cannot see the Lord and live; our natural man has to die.

Isa 28:1 Woe to the crown of pride, to the drunkards of Ephraim, whose glorious beauty is a fading flower, which are on the head of the fat valleys of them that are overcome with wine!

Jas 1:9  Let the brother of low degree rejoice in that he is exalted:

Jas 1:10 But the rich, in that he is made low: because as the flower of the grass he shall pass away.

We are offered up following Christ’s example, as He is so are we [1 John 4:17].

Php 2:17  Yea, and if I be offered upon the sacrifice and service of your faith, I joy, and rejoice with you all.

Php 2:18  For the same cause also do ye joy, and rejoice with me.

This is the only Tree that makes us holy unto God; we are being made perfect on the third day. We are made over, a new man conformed into the image of Christ.

Eph 4:13 Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ:

Eph 4:24 And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness.

Col 3:8  But now ye also put off all these; anger, wrath, malice, blasphemy, filthy communication out of your mouth.

Col 3:9  Lie not one to another, seeing that ye have put off the old man with his deeds;

Col 3:10 And have put on the new man, which is renewed in knowledge after the image of him that created him:

This is the Day, the Lord will reconcile our brethren back to us. You, who are reading, that came out of the physical churches/fellowships of the world, that have no fellowship elsewhere, whether it be over the internet or in a church, today the Lord joins you to us, we are one flock, we have One Lord, One Father. If you believe in the Name/Gospel of Christ in your hearts and confess with your mouths, you are His sheep. You are part of the remnant the Lord calls. Christ is not leaving or forsaking you.

Joe 2:32  And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the LORD shall be delivered: for in mount Zion and in Jerusalem shall be deliverance, as the LORD hath said, and in the remnant whom the LORD shall call.

Gal 3:26  For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus.

Gal 3:27  For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ.

Gal 3:28  There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus.

Gal 6:15  For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision availeth any thing, nor uncircumcision, but a new creature.

Gal 6:16  And as many as walk according to this rule, peace be on them, and mercy, and upon the Israel of God.

Gal 6:17 From henceforth let no man trouble me: for I bear in my body the marks of the Lord Jesus.

Eating of the Tree of Life brings forth fruit and joy unspeakable as we start to overcome sin. Our reward is the crown of righteousness. We have to patiently wait for the Lord, put all our hope in Him to come and give us this crown, and above all else, to be found spotless [without sin] when He comes. Those who wait for the Lord are not put to shame [Isa 49]. Paul says he presents us as a chaste virgin unto Christ.

2Ki 19:30  And the remnant that is escaped of the house of Judah shall yet again take root downward, and bear fruit upward.

2Ki 19:31 For out of Jerusalem shall go forth a remnant, and they that escape out of mount Zion: the zeal of the LORD of hosts shall do this.

Psa 92:13 Those that be planted in the house of the LORD shall flourish in the courts of our God.

Psa 92:14 They shall still bring forth fruit in old age; they shall be fat and flourishing;

The crown of glory is Christ in us, the Hope of Glory. It is the Gospel of Jesus Christ; it is knowing and obeying the Commandments of Christ. We wait patiently, striving to enter into the narrow gate, and are watchful that nobody takes our crown. When we fall, we get back up immediately, we resist the devil [carnal thoughts, the world], and he flees from us. The Lord promised and He will do it and IS doing it, and that is to give us overcoming over our sins, overcoming the world within and without.

Isa 28:5  In that day shall the LORD of hosts be for a crown of glory, and for a diadem of beauty, unto the residue of his people,

Isa 28:6 And for a spirit of judgment to him that sitteth in judgment, and for strength to them that turn the battle to the gate.

2Ti 4:7  I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith:

2Ti 4:8 Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.

Rev 3:10  Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth.

Rev 3:11 Behold, I come quickly: hold that fast which thou hast, that no man take thy crown.

As the true Israel of God, we are the praise of the earth because Christ returns to us. He has not forgotten us. He is our faithful High Priest after the order of Melchisedec. He wakes us up from deep sleep [spiritual death], and we have joy forevermore. The Lord dwells in Mount Zion, Christ and the Father dwells in us in this Day [John 14:20].

Isa 8:18 Behold, I and the children whom the LORD hath given me are for signs and for wonders in Israel from the LORD of hosts, which dwelleth in mount Zion.

Isa 46:13 I bring near my righteousness; it shall not be far off, and my salvation shall not tarry: and I will place salvation in Zion for Israel my glory.

Isa 51:16 And I have put my words in thy mouth, and I have covered thee in the shadow of mine hand, that I may plant the heavens, and lay the foundations of the earth, and say unto Zion, Thou art my people.

We are Zion, the perfection of beauty.

Psa 50:2  Out of Zion, the perfection of beauty, God hath shined.

Psa 50:3  Our God shall come, and shall not keep silence: a fire shall devour before him, and it shall be very tempestuous round about him.

Psa 50:4  He shall call to the heavens from above, and to the earth, that he may judge his people.

Psa 50:5  Gather my saints together unto me; those that have made a covenant with me by sacrifice.

Psa 50:6 And the heavens shall declare his righteousness: for God is judge himself. Selah.

The tree of Life extends peace to us like a river; it endures forever, because the Lord, through His mercy, has opened our ears and made us to see the One whom we have pierced. He has brought us home again. The Lord’s judgments give us peace. The Lord’s judgments are His Commandments. Our peace is our comfort.

Isa 66:12  For thus saith the LORD, Behold, I will extend peace to her like a river, and the glory of the Gentiles like a flowing stream: then shall ye suck, ye shall be borne upon her sides, and be dandled upon her knees.

Isa 66:13 As one whom his mother comforteth, so will I comfort you; and ye shall be comforted in Jerusalem.

Joh 14:27 Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.

Isa 52:7 How beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of him that bringeth good tidings, that publisheth peace; that bringeth good tidings of good, that publisheth salvation; that saith unto Zion, Thy God reigneth!

We pray and thank the Lord continually for saving us. Once we are lifted out of this world, we see the bondage, we see Leviathan [the devil], which has pulled us up into his net [Job 41]. Praying, lifting up hands, means the way we walk in this life. Praying means worshipping God. Our hearts are full of joy because of what the Lord is doing in this Day.

Heb 13:15  By him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to his name.

1Pe 2:5  Ye also, as lively stones, are built up a spiritual house, an holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus Christ.

Rev 8:3  And another angel came and stood at the altar, having a golden censer; and there was given unto him much incense, that he should offer it with the prayers of all saints upon the golden altar which was before the throne.

Reading this letter, we have a joyful and pleasant feast and we remember to remember God, the Father, and the Lord, Christ, to honour and obey Them as we are unworthy servants, which is our duty to do. Here are some Commandments for a time like this, reading and reminding ourselves what a great gift we have been given, the Tree of Life. His Commandments are our daily bread from heaven. The Apostles remind us:

To walk worthy of our calling … being steadfast … holding to our Head.

To not be spoilt by fables and philosophies … to shun vain babblings … to put our affection on things above … to not answer foolish questions … to not walk in lasciviousness, excess of wine, idolatries … to establish our hearts with grace not with meat … to not love the world … to try the spirits … to keep away from idols … to not follow after evil.

To love our brethren fervently … abounding in love … keeping His Commands …  to esteem those that labour in the Word.

To have confidence to draw near … casting our cares upon Christ … to be humble, patient, and longsuffering … looking to others’ affairs, not just our own.

To forbear and forgive each other … to get angry and sin not … to be full of mercy.

To not neglect our gifts … to work with our own hands … to eat at home … to study to show ourselves approved … be ready to give an answer … not to be slothful … to speak truth in love.

To gird up our loins … to be sober … to resist the devil … to labour to enter into His rest … to not be involved in the affairs of this world.

To bridle our tongues … no corrupt communication out of our mouths … no evil speaking … no bitterness … no jesting … to be kind and gentle … to renew our minds … our speech seasoned with salt … swift to hear and slow to speak … to set aside the sins that so easily beset us … to not covet … to not faint … to not be unequally joked with unbelievers.

To be holy, set apart … to not be partakers of others’ sins … to lay hands suddenly on no man … to follow after peace and holiness …to not revile … to not threaten … to not be partial … to not be puffed up.

To feed the flock … to present every man perfect … to be hospitable … to entertain strangers … to visit the fatherless, the orphan, the widow, the Levite, the stranger spiritually … to not eat or drink the Lord’s supper unworthily … to seek the excellent gifts but rather to prophesy … to be orderly. Casting our cares upon Him … our behaviour honest among the gentiles … to redeem our time … to be subject to rulers … to not be a stumbling block… to not judge another … to bear the weak … to judge nothing before the time … to give cheerfully … to not speak evil.

To give thanks in all things … to not moan … to do things heartily as if we do it for the Lord … to press on for the prize of the high calling … to make our calling and election sure … to examine ourselves … to live by faith.

To teach and preach the Gospel …  to not be ashamed of the Gospel … to admonish, exhort, comfort, and edify … to be humble … to not boast … to do good when we know to do good … to not revile … to be patient … to bear each other’s burdens … to do good to all men.

To pray for the king and all men … to lift hands up everywhere praying spiritually … to confess our sins … to pass our time in fear of the Lord.

To be doers of the Word … to not quench the spirit … to give heed to prophesies … to not forsake the assembly … to present our bodies a living sacrifice … to be of the same mind … fervent in spirit … rejoicing in hope … blessing not cursing.

To think on things true, honest, just, pure, virtuous, and of good report … to die daily … to love and many more.

Receive ye the Gospel.
