The Promises of Christ our Lord

The Promises of Christ

To the scattered saints of the Most High God and our Lord Jesus Christ,

Our faith in God is what we are standing upon in these last days.  Little by little every earthly thing we have trusted upon is being taken away.  Chastening grace, in proportion to our faith [Eph 2:8], is the way salvation comes to us and how every man is being made anew in the likeness of Christ.  The purpose of our many tribulations in the Lord’s plan is to ensure that the only thing we trust upon is an unshakable faith in the Lord.   In our day of the Lord, “everything else” but faith; be it our wisdom, our money, our health, our public standing, our relationships …  or anything else; is being removed and is being burned up in the Lord’s fire.

Heb 12:27  And this word, Yet once more, signifieth the removing of those things that are shaken, as of things that are made, that those things which cannot be shaken may remain.

Heb 12:28  Wherefore we receiving a kingdom which cannot be moved, let us have grace, whereby we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear:

Heb 12:29  For our God is a consuming fire.

This road and journey in the Lord’s hand are difficult and much suffering and affliction is part of His process.  Taking heart of God’s many promises strengthens and helps us endure our trials keeping our eyes focused on the hope yet to come.

Php 3:13  Brethren, I do not count myself to have apprehended; but one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead,

Php 3:14  I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.

All the promises of God are an absolute certainty which come to pass in the times appointed beforehand for every man.  The character of God is unchangeable who is 100% faithful and who cannot lie.  As the true Israel of God, the true circumcision, we should be strengthened knowing the One who began a good work in us will complete it right on His declared schedule.

Psa 89:34  My covenant will I not break, nor alter the thing that is gone out of my lips.

Our faith in all God’s promises gives us the necessary hope that will indeed save us in the end.

Rom 8:24  For we are saved by hope: but hope that is seen is not hope: for what a man seeth, why doth he yet hope for?

Rom 8:25  But if we hope for that we see not, then do we with patience wait for it.

The most basic promise of God is that of eternal life.   This includes attaining a spirit-filled and godly life now in this age, if the Lord has ordained it.

1Jn 2:25  And this is the promise that he hath promised us, even eternal life

Joh 10:10  I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.

Joh 4:14  But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life.

Numerous other promises of God our Father through Christ are derived from the pivotal promise of eternal life. Our faith in the Lord and these promises are essential to stand firm and endure the many afflictions the Lord is having us experience.

Isa 26:3  Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee [His Word, the promises]

Eph 6:14  Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth [thy word, thy promises are truth], and having on the breastplate of righteousness;

In these last days (our day of the Lord), we are walking by faith, the substance of what our carnally minded senses cannot see which is also foolishness to the world and its way of thinking.  There will be times of doubt and inner torment as we sojourn towards eternal life and our salvation. We have learned and continue to progress by taking all contrary thoughts captive to the obedience of Christ.

All things, even any suffering and our tribulations are for our sake and the response of the faithful man is to rejoice and give thanks always no matter the circumstances.

2Co 4:15  For all things are for your sakes, that the abundant grace might through the thanksgiving of many redound to the glory of God.

2Co 4:17  For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory;

When we fall or fail to stand, we need to pick ourselves back up and keep on moving towards the prize of being completed in Christ.  The rewards are certain if we endure.

2Co 4:18  While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.

Having faith in God is the best admonishment and reminder in these troubling times.  If we ask for anything we want, consistent with the Lord’s will (our sanctification), we are promised it will be done.

Mar 11:22  And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God.

Mar 11:23  For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.

Yes, having patience and waiting is part of the lessons we are learning.  The Lord’s delays are not His denials and should be viewed as only a testing of our faith.  Christ cannot and will not be unfaithful to His or His Father’s promises.

2Ti 2:13  If we are faithless, He remains faithful; He cannot deny Himself.

As immature youth, we first grow weary yet in due time learn to remain steadfast with our eyes focused on the promised end, trusting in the promises to come.

Gal 5:5  For we through the Spirit wait for the hope of righteousness by faith.

The promise of eternal life is our guaranteed inheritance that is incorruptible when the Lord finishes His work in us.  Many other subtending promises come from this main one.  We need to remember and recall these promises (truths) so it is good to often be reminded of them.  Some of the key promises we are given are highlighted below.

Some other Key Promises of the Lord

We are promised freedom or liberty in Christ:  This is true at several levels including being freed from the law of carnal reasoning but also from our being freed from the power sin has over us.

Joh 8:36  Therefore if the Son makes you free, you shall be free indeed.

2Co 3:17  Now the Lord is the Spirit; and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.

Gal 5:13  For, brethren, ye have been called unto liberty; only use not liberty for an occasion to the flesh, but by love serve one another.

We are promised peace:  This is not the same peace the world defines, as indeed Christ coming to us wreaks havoc on our once carnal and self-focused life.  That life must be lost to gain the new life where we find the inner peace that only a deep faith in the Lord and His promises can provide.

Isa 26:3  Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.

Joh 14:27  Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.

Joh 16:33  These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.

We are promised rest when we come together.  With strong faith, we are finally able to quit kicking against the pricks and contending with what the Lord is working in our lives.  He is in charge; we are mere clay in His hands.  Settling on those truths brings a rest (a cessation) of our carnal works to save ourselves.

Mat 11:28  Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.

Heb 4:10  For he that is entered into his rest, he also hath ceased from his own works, as God did from his.

Heb 4:11  Let us labour therefore to enter into that rest, lest any man fall after the same example of unbelief.

We are promised forgiveness of our sins:  This is huge and one our carnal mind has difficulty in truly believing.  The Lord works all things, even our sins for His purposes (Isa 63:17, Isa 64:8, Jer 2:19, Jer 10:23, Eph 1:11, Rom 9:19-20, Phi 2:13, etc….).   By no means do we turn this truth into a license to sin as many do and others will falsely accuse us of doing.  Yet we need to remember it is the Lord and we need not wallow in self-condemnation but believe the Gospel and get right back up and keep walking doing all we can to stand.

1Jn 1:9  If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

Heb 8:12  For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their iniquities will I remember no more.

We are promised strength to overcome sin and the world:  The power unto salvation is not our own power, it is indeed the power of God given to us by the indwelling of the Holy Spirit.  If we truly belong to Him, we are His sons and have that power dwelling within us to overcome and be His witnesses on this earth.  Of course, we all must grow and mature from babes in Christ to mature sons to be perfected and achieve the overcoming.

Act 1:8  But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.

Gal 5:16  This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.

He promises never to leave us or forsake us:  It can be very lonely for those that keep the true faith.  Combine this with our struggles of being in this world and our fleshly weaknesses and doubt, we need be watchful not to be taken in by a lying spirit that would have us believe the Lord has forsaken us.  Even our Lord cried out in the last moments of His dying flesh thinking He had been forsaken.  Faith would have us take those thoughts captive, trusting in the promise to never leave us or forsake us.  We should view such doubts as the trial of faith that it is.

Deu 31:6  Be strong and of good courage, do not fear nor be afraid of them; for the LORD your God, He is the One who goes with you. He will not leave you nor forsake you.”

Psa 37:25  I have been young, and now am old; yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed begging bread.

Christ promises to lose nobody.  All given to eternal life, which is every man in his predetermined order, will indeed be saved!  There is nothing any of us can do to save ourselves.  One is either be saved in this age, or they will be saved in age to come after the Lord brings this present evil age to an end.  Our progress or lack thereof at times should not have us doubting the promises of God.  The Lord finishes what He has started in us and nobody or nothing is going to take us out of His hands.  He is the Potter, He is in absolute control.

Joh 10:28  And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.

Php 1:6  Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ:

Christ promises to meet all our needs: We are in this world and have many needs to survive and live in the flesh.  We should not worry no matter our circumstances as He promises us to give us everything we need.  We are learning contentment with what we have by trusting in these promises.

Php 4:19  But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.

Mat 6:33  But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

2Pe 1:3  According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue:

When we seek Christ He promises to help: He is always there in times of trouble and provides what we need to endure and be strengthened.  He is always with us and when we turn our face to the Lord, He is there to minister and comfort us.

Mat 7:7  Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:

Psa 46:1  God is our refuge and strength, A very present help in trouble.

Christ promises all prayers made in faith according to His will, will be answered.

Joh 14:14  If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it.

Mat 21:22  And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive.

He promises to teach us the way of righteousness:  Learning righteousness is the same process as being saved from our sins (salvation).   To do right we are caused by the Lord to err [Isa 63:17] and by the subsequent chastening of His judgment, are being taught the right way.  Lord willing, we are learning and adapting from our failures as that indeed is their purpose.

Psa 32:8  I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go: I will guide thee with mine eye.

Heb 12:6  For whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth [teaches], and scourgeth every son whom he receiveth.

Isa 42:16  And I will bring the blind by a way that they knew not; I will lead them in paths that they have not known: I will make darkness light before them, and crooked things straight. These things will I do unto them, and not forsake them.

We overcome and are not being harmed by abiding in His eternal fire.  In fact, the fire is what is, was, and will be saving us!!!  This is a big promise if we can receive it.  The way of life in Christ is not easy for our marred and weak flesh.  We become weary at times and in those moments, standing on the promises of God and trusting them fully is how we can endure.

Isa 43:2  When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee.

The story of Shadrak and company in the blazing furnace depicts this promise and mystery that so few are given to understand. Walking by faith requires us to be despised and hated by a carnal world that has no faith.  The resulting spiritual fires this brings in our lives are going to bring forth Christ in us.  He appears in the fire.

Dan 3:25  He answered and said, Lo, I see four men loose, walking in the midst of the fire, and they have no hurt; and the form of the fourth is like the Son of God.

Our time in the “lake of fire” is the ordained process that brings about the death of our carnality hence it is also known as the second death [our first death being found dead in our sins and trespasses].  Experiencing the second death is the other side of the same coin as the blessed and holy First Resurrection.  We should eagerly look forward to partaking in this blessing.  This is a prophecy that is being fulfilled in our life and rather to be avoided, it is the way of salvation.  Trusting in the promise of no harm shall come to us, will give us much-needed encouragement when we are given the faith to stand.

Rev 2:11  “He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. He who overcomes shall not be hurt by the second death.”

Christ promises to come again and always dwell with us.  That indwelling is within us as Christ lives within us.  For now, we have a down payment, an earnest deposit of the Spirit of God. Yet in due time, as His work is being completed and we shed these earthen vessels, we will receive a full reward having the mind of Christ.  This glorious outcome is something we should look forward to and do all we can to hasten its appearing in our walk.  It is a pivotal promise that helps us endure to the end.

Rev 21:3  And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God.

The hope of getting our crown of righteousness is obtaining the mind of Christ.  This is assured without a doubt if we fight the fight of faith to the end.

2Ti 4:7  I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.

2Ti 4:8  Finally, there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give to me on that Day, and not to me only but also to all who have loved His appearing.

Many more pages would be needed to even begin to cover all the promises the Lord has given to His people.  The Scriptures declare them, and we as His people are living (experiencing) these blessings right now.   The knowledge of God we have been given includes knowledge of these precious promises.   May these words be an encouragement and reminder to all of us and help to all those waiting on the Lord.

Psa 130:5  I wait for the LORD, my soul doth wait, and in his word do I hope.

Drinking of the Cup of God’s Wrath

Mat 20:20 Then came to him the mother of Zebedee’s children with her sons, worshipping him, and desiring a certain thing of him.
Mat 20:21 And he said unto her, What wilt thou? She saith unto him, Grant that these my two sons may sit, the one on thy right hand, and the other on the left, in thy kingdom.
Mat 20:22 But Jesus answered and said, Ye know not what ye ask. Are ye able to drink of the cup that I shall drink of, and to be baptized with the baptism that I am baptized with? They say unto him, We are able.
Mat 20:23 And he saith unto them, Ye shall drink indeed of my cup, and be baptized with the baptism that I am baptized with: but to sit on my right hand, and on my left, is not mine to give, but it shall be given to them for whom it is prepared of my Father.

The mother of the sons of Zebedee had no clue what she was asking as all of us will have no clue when we first seek to enter the kingdom of God. We don’t enter the kingdom by saying a 10 second sinners prayer or joining a church. We enter into the kingdom thru the temple that is Jesus Christ. We enter the kingdom only thru much tribulation and great suffering. We follow in the footsteps of Jesus.

All men will ultimately follow Christ and be baptized with the baptism of Jesus Christ. This is not speaking about being dunked in water in a Babylonian church. It is speaking about enduring the wrath of God against our old man and carnal nature. The marred vessel of clay, conceived in sin that we all are, will be destroyed before the new man can come forth from the darkness. This is the purpose of Baptism, to cleanse us of all that defiles and make us into the image of God. This happens for us thru the righteous judgment of God. While we think of baptism with water as it washes us, it also purifies and that comes by fire.

Mat 3:11 I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance: but he that cometh after me is mightier than I, whose shoes I am not worthy to bear: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost, and with fire:

The series of baptism’s that God works in our lives are all really all ONE BAPTISM. That is the baptism into Christ’s death and the destruction of our old man. Virtually the entire orthodox church believes at some level that salvation is avoiding having God’s wrath poured out upon us. Whether it be by rapture or by being protected by God, the doctrines of Babylon keep the multitudes in spiritual darkness not knowing the wonderful works of God to the children of men.

Psa 107:15 Oh that men would praise the LORD for his goodness, and for his wonderful works to the children of men!

As this Psalm shows us that can see and hear, along with all the prophets, the way of salvation is thru judgment. We are not saved, which really means delivered from sin, until we come thru the judgment of God and endure God’s wrath against our old man. This amazingly is the story repeated in every Book of the Bible yet nobody except for a few God has opened their eyes can see it. But it is very good news when you do see it!!! The way of salvation and entering into the temple that is Christ is by living thru the wrath of God against our old man and carnal nature.

We always want to put off the judgment of God on someone else, the guy down the street, that bad guy over there. But it needs to come to us and all men in order for us to be delivered and for God to fulfill the promise of Jesus Christ. Here are some reasons why that is the case.

All men sin

Ecc 7:20 For there is not a just man upon earth, that doeth good, and sinneth not.

There are none who do good

Rom 3:10 As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one:
Rom 3:11 There is none that understandeth, there is none that seeketh after God.
Rom 3:12 They are all gone out of the way, they are together become unprofitable; there is none that doeth good, no, not one.

The soul that sins shall die

Eze 18:20 The soul that sinneth, it shall die

We all will think we saved ourselves by making a choice for Christ. Yet the fact is we have sinned and continue to do so while we are in the vessels of clay. The purposes of marred vessels of clay, created in dishonor was for them to be destroyed and for us to be remade in God’s appointed times.

Rev 21:5 And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful.

God is the potter who is working all things in our lives, even evil things. It is to His glory He does it this way as Romans 9 makes very clear to those who have ears to hear.

Rom 9:21 Hath not the potter power over the clay, of the same lump to make one vessel unto honour, and another unto dishonour?

So getting back to baptism and bringing in the title of this post, drinking of the cup of God’s wrath, we need to know that there is no sin that will not bear a just recompense from God. This does not change the fact, God is working it, He is causing all things to happen because He is. But this is the mystery and God’s way that the carnal mind cannot comprehend. We learn thru judgment. The old man dies by bearing the wrath of God. It only awaits God’s timing. He has a time appointed for all. God’s Elect rightfully teach of Universal Salvation, the very milk of the gospel and are often accused by carnal babes of promoting sin. Absolutely not. God forbid. This verse is as true as the verses that speak about the salvation of all men.

Rom 1:18 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness;

ALL UNGODLINESS will bear the wrath of God. Even the ungodliness of God’s Elect, even atheists and Muslims, even carnal babes that are walking in strong delusion. There is no exception. I have continued to beat home the theme of judgment in my discussion comments in the past few months. If God will only open ears to hear these truths that reveal His character and His purposes in creating us marred in sinful bodies ON PURPOSE.

Rom 8:20 For the creature was made subject to vanity, not willingly, but by reason of him who hath subjected the same in hope,

Rom 8:21 Because the creature itself also shall be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God.
Rom 8:22 For we know that the whole creation groaneth and travaileth in pain together until now.

Which is saying the same things told many places including:

Gen 2:25  And they were both naked (sinful), the man and his wife, and were not ashamed.

Psa 51:5 Behold, I was shapen in iniquity; and in sin did my mother conceive me.

Jer 18:4 And the vessel that he made of clay was marred in the hand of the potter: so he made it again another vessel, as seemed good to the potter to make it.

When are given to understand God’s ways and purposes by the revelation of Christ in us, then the true nature of God can be grasped and we will be able to come out of Babylon. So let’s look at judgment and how that is associated with enduring the wrath of God against our old man.

It is such a wonderful blessing to be chosen to be judged now. It’s right there if you can see it or hear the spiritual words.

Rev 1:3 Blessed is he that readeth, and they that hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written therein: for the time is at hand.

We are blessed when all that “bad stuff” from the book of Revelation happens in our lives. This is the only way Christ will be formed in His Elect. Escaping the wrath of God is a false teaching of Babylon.

Rev 15:8 And the temple was filled with smoke from the glory of God, and from his power; and no man was able to enter into the temple, till the seven plagues of the seven angels were fulfilled.

Many have been brought to some understanding of the spiritual, yet a few of these Babylonian lies such as this one being discussed and especially eternal punishment and the delusion that they have any free will, keep the light of the truth totally shut off and they grope around in spiritual darkness still bound in the bonds of Babylon. We shall all drink of the cup of God’s wrath against our old man. It only matters when that day has been appointed by the Father. All has been written and will happen in the order and sequence God has declared it to happen.

Here the words of the Prophet Jeremiah. You and me and all men shall certainly drink of this cup.

Jer 25:28 And it shall be, if they refuse to take the cup at thine hand to drink, then shalt thou say unto them, Thus saith the LORD of hosts; Ye shall certainly drink.

And how does the Lord bring this about? How do we drink of the cup that Christ drank? We drink it because the Lord has called a sword against all the inhabitants of the earth.

Jer 25:29 For, lo, I begin to bring evil on the city which is called by my name, and should ye be utterly unpunished? Ye shall not be unpunished: for I will call for a sword upon all the inhabitants of the earth, saith the LORD of hosts.

God’s Elect are the earth, and it is in the earth that heaven resides. And all of these things pertain to the kingdom of God that is within us.

Luk 17:20 And when he was demanded of the Pharisees, when the kingdom of God should come, he answered them and said, The kingdom of God cometh not with observation:

Luk 17:21 Neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, the kingdom of God is within you.

We need to learn to apply the Scriptures inwardly first. We will live them all whether we know it now or not.

Jer 22:29 O earth, earth, earth, hear the word of the LORD.

When our day of judgment arrives, then and only then will we learn righteousness and come to know the true Christ. This judgment first begins at the house of God, His very Elect and it comes upon “their” earth.

Isa 26:9 With my soul have I desired thee in the night; yea, with my spirit within me will I seek thee early: for when thy judgments are in the earth, the inhabitants of the world will learn righteousness.

All that which defiles and all the nations that are within will be destroyed by the brightness of His coming. When are ears now hear the truth, our judgment begins in earnest and all our fleshly works and carnal doctrines will be destroyed by the fire, the hail, the destroying winds that are all references to the word of God.

Isa 28:17 Judgment also will I lay to the line, and righteousness to the plummet: and the hail shall sweep away the refuge of lies, and the waters shall overflow the hiding place.

Jer 5:14 Wherefore thus saith the LORD God of hosts, Because ye speak this word, behold, I will make my words in thy mouth fire, and this people wood, and it shall devour them.

1Co 3:15 If any man’s work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire.

The passages of Jeremiah 25, written as all the Scriptures in parables/proverbs to hide the meaning from carnal men tell of this wonderful work to the chosen children of men. This is the good news and the mystery of how Christ is formed in His Elect.

Jer 25:30 Therefore prophesy thou against them all these words, and say unto them, The LORD shall roar from on high, and utter his voice from his holy habitation; he shall mightily roar upon his habitation; he shall give a shout, as they that tread the grapes, against all the inhabitants of the earth.

Jer 25:31 A noise shall come even to the ends of the earth; for the LORD hath a controversy with the nations, he will plead with all flesh; he will give them that are wicked to the sword, saith the LORD.

Jer 25:32 Thus saith the LORD of hosts, Behold, evil shall go forth from nation to nation, and a great whirlwind shall be raised up from the coasts of the earth.

The slaying of the beast and the false prophet within, will be accomplished. The words of Christ once heard with spiritual ears will not return void.

Jer 25:33 And the slain of the LORD shall be at that day from one end of the earth even unto the other end of the earth: they shall not be lamented, neither gathered, nor buried; they shall be dung upon the ground.

Neither will the old man, the old Pete be lamented, it will be as dung and mean nothing to us anymore. Oh it will hurt and it is a process by which God strips us and lays bare all the idols of our heart and removes them from us. But to those that hear the words of Christ, this is good news and we will learn to count it all as joy.

Jer 25:34 Howl, ye shepherds, and cry; and wallow yourselves in the ashes, ye principal of the flock: for the days of your slaughter and of your dispersions are accomplished; and ye shall fall like a pleasant vessel.

Jer 25:35 And the shepherds shall have no way to flee, nor the principal of the flock to escape.

Jer 25:36 A voice of the cry of the shepherds, and an howling of the principal of the flock, shall be heard: for the LORD hath spoiled their pasture.

There will be no rest but only great torment when this judgment first begins and we like JOB do not understand what is going on. These are the spiritual earthquakes sent by God to bring salvation to His chosen ones. God will turn loose the lion that is the devil to come wreak havoc on our old man and carnal way of life.

Jer 25:37 And the peaceable habitations are cut down because of the fierce anger of the LORD.

Jer 25:38 He hath forsaken his covert, as the lion: for their land is desolate because of the fierceness of the oppressor, and because of his fierce anger.

Lest we still don’t believe that Satan is a servant of the Lord and does only what God tells him to do let’s look at this dialog.

Job 1:8 And the LORD said unto Satan, Hast thou considered my servant Job, that there is none like him in the earth, a perfect and an upright man, one that feareth God, and escheweth evil?

Job 1:9 Then Satan answered the LORD, and said, Doth Job fear God for nought?

Job 1:10 Hast not thou made an hedge about him, and about his house, and about all that he hath on every side? thou hast blessed the work of his hands, and his substance is increased in the land.

Job 1:11 But put forth thine hand now, and touch all that he hath, and he will curse thee to thy face.

Job 1:12 And the LORD said unto Satan, Behold, all that he hath is in thy power; only upon himself put not forth thine hand. So Satan went forth from the presence of the LORD.

Yet a time will come when we will understand what God is doing. I have been blessed to come to that place of understanding and oh what joy. There is not a man alive that will not in due time drink of the cup of God’s wrath against their old man. This will begin suddenly and at a time when we think we are in need of no repentance and are not in need of a physician. But we know not at this time, how blind, naked and wretched we truly our. The beast that is sitting exalted on God’s throne will be thrown down and cast out by the fiery words of truth. This is how we will overcome and gain victory over our inward beast, the man of sin, the son of perdition that is within us all.

Rev 15:2 And I saw as it were a sea of glass mingled with fire: and them that had gotten the victory over the beast, and over his image, and over his mark, and over the number of his name, stand on the sea of glass, having the harps of God.

Revelation 14 describes God’s Elect who have been dragged out of Babylon and the world.

Rev 14:1 And I looked, and, lo, a Lamb stood on the mount Sion, and with him an hundred forty and four thousand, having his Father’s name written in their foreheads.

The three angels (God’s messenger’s, His Elect) will bring the true gospel to us and we will hear it and this will be the process by which salvation comes.

Rev 14:9 And the third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, If any man worship the beast and his image, and receive his mark in his forehead, or in his hand,

All of us have received the mark of the beast in our forehead and in our hands. We have all worshiped the beast and the image of the beast thinking it was God. These are all words we shall live and experience and woe unto us if we take them out of God’s book and claim they do not apply to us personally.

Rev 14:10 The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb:

The wine of God’s wrath are the false doctrines we all first believe from our Babylonian captivity. But when our day of judgment begins, the spiritual earthquakes and the shaking intensify. Whereas the doctrines of Babylon will cite Rev 14:11 as one of their eternal torment proofs, those with ears to hear know that this verse and whole chapter speaks about the good news, the judgment of God, that which is sweeter than honey against our old carnal man. The purposes of God’s fire and the brimstone, which is a purifying agent, is all for good. It is to circumcise our hearts and that is how we are actually converted on God’s timeline, not ours. The carnal translators wrote forever and ever whereas this should simply read eons of the eons, another words, the amount of time ordained by the Lord.

Rev 14:11 And the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever: and they have no rest day nor night, who worship the beast and his image, and whosoever receiveth the mark of his name.

Living through all of this judgment and bearing the wrath of God against our old man is the patience of God’s Elect. This verse makes no sense to the carnal mind and can only be understood if we know what God is doing in pouring out His wrath upon us.

Rev 14:12 Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.

We saw earlier from Jeremiah how the Lord promised to bring a sword against all the inhabitants of the earth. A sword is nothing more but the WORD OF GOD, burning in our hearts and that is how the old man will be first lead into captivity in Babylon and then killed (the old man) by that same sword. It is two edged and again we see that living these things is the patience of the saints who are God’s very Elect.

Rev 13:10 He that leadeth into captivity shall go into captivity: he that killeth with the sword must be killed with the sword. Here is the patience and the faith of the saints.

The Sum of HIS Word is truth

Many will jump to this verse from Paul’s letter and create a doctrine around it that says we will not endure God’s wrath. That is not what this verse says.

1Th 5:9 For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ,

This chapter Paul is speaking about mankind, ALL MEN, and all this verse tells us is that all men will be saved, the very opposite of how it is used by the wolves that teach the lies of Babylon. We are appointed to salvation and the rest of God’s word makes clear that the way of salvation, being delivered from the dominion of sin in our lives, comes by living thru the wrath of God against our old man and carnal nature. Paul made that clear right here to the Ephesians, writing to the Elect saying they all were children of wrath, even as (all men) the others.

Eph 2:2 Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience:
Eph 2:3 Among whom also we all had our conversation in times past in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind; and were by nature the children of wrath, even as others.

The sum of thy word is truth just as Psalm 119:160 declares. The whole counsel of God is truth and we must never forget this verse.

2Pe 1:20 Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of its own (private) interpretation.

Knowing the way of salvation is thru much tribulation and affliction is very comforting. It is how we can give thanks to God for all things, even the painful trials and suffering that we must endure. We can do this because we know why it is being done and where it is going to take. It is going to take us to salvation if we endure all the way to the end. It is going to lead to the prize, which is to be in the first resurrection and to rule and reign with Christ during the 1,000 symbolic years on this earth.

Knowing these things we can say come quickly Lord Jesus. Our flesh will want this judgment to be over quickly and it will seem much too long but is indeed just for a little while, relatively speaking.

2Pe 3:9 The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.

2Pe 3:10 But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.

2Pe 3:11 Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness,

2Pe 3:12 Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat?

2Pe 3:13 Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness.

The new heavens and new earth is come to God’s Elect who have been thru their day of judgment and have been the first to die, all by the hand of God. The second death that will come to the multitudes shall not harm us as we will have already been killed and had our day of judgment, enduring God’s wrath already against our old man.

Rev 2:11 He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; He that overcometh shall not be hurt of the second death.

Paul said the same things here. If we are judged NOW, we won’t be judged (condemned) with the world later in the lake of fire.

1Co 11:31 For if we would judge ourselves, we should not be judged.

1Co 11:32 But when we are judged, we are chastened of the Lord, that we should not be condemned with the world.

I am not ashamed of this gospel that very few have ears to hear or the faith to believe. I am rejoicing in the suffering knowing its purposes and why His judgment has come to me and to all of God’s Elect now.

1Pe 4:16 Yet if any man suffer as a Christian, let him not be ashamed; but let him glorify God on this behalf.

1Pe 4:17 For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God?

The judgment of God comes by eating His word, the little book that God’s Elect, His angels, give to us when we are given ears to hear. As Peter said, it begins at the house of God which is the same things the “angel” said to John.

Rev 14:7 Saying with a loud voice, Fear God, and give glory to him; for the hour of his judgment is come: and worship him that made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and the fountains of waters.

When the rock that is Christ falls upon us, our old man and worldly ways will be ground to powder. The only offering acceptable to the Lord is one that is finely ground, so it can be burned in the fire of His word.

Mat 21:44 And whosoever shall fall on this stone shall be broken: but on whomsoever it shall fall, it will grind him to powder.
