Repentance from Dead Works

These are notes compiled from various teachings by Ronel for the Woman’s Study.

“Repentance from Dead Works”

Repentance is very clearly stated as vital for salvation throughout the Bible.

It is impossible for man on their own initiative to repent. Repentance is indeed a necessary part of salvation which is not a mystery that is veiled from carnal eyes. What is at issue is the origins or the causation of that repentance. The truth is God is the one working all aspects of salvation and man has absolutely no say in it or its timing.

John 5:30 I can of mine own self do nothing.

Repentance cannot be done on our own initiative and without repentance it is impossible to enter into the kingdom of GOD:

Matthew 3:2-3 (John the Baptist coming) and saying, “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand!” For this is he who was spoken of by the prophet Isaiah, saying: “The voice of one crying in the wilderness: “Prepare the way of the LORD;

In order to understand repentance, we need to first accept that these words are actually true:

Psa 119:160 The entirety of Your word is truth.

Ephesians 1:11 In whom also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestined according to the purpose of him who works ALL THINGS after the counsel of his own will:

If one accepts the Scripture such as Ephesians 1:11 then you are obliged to accept that HE, the Lord, also is working our repentance according to HIS will because all things means ALL THINGS.

Here are the things we must accept in order to even begin to repent:

Psalm 139:16 Thine eyes did see mine unformed substance; And in thy book they were all written, Even the days that were ordained for me, When as yet there was none of them.

This speaks not only to the number of days but all that will take place on those days. God has declared the end from the beginning and He will bring it to pass without exception. It is true that our repentance was also written in His Book therefore;

1 John 3:20  Even if we feel guilty, God is greater than our feelings, and he knows everything.

Our Father is not at all surprised or confused by our shortcomings because not only did He create us and devise a plan for our lives but He also said this:

Job 14:5 Man’s days are determined; you have decreed the number of his months and have set limits he cannot exceed.

Knowing the unchanging nature of God leads us to consider these powerful Words of Truth.

Matthew 4:4 But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God.

Repentance from dead works is one of the milk doctrines:

Heb 6:1  Therefore leaving the principles of the doctrine of Christ, let us go on unto perfection; not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works, and of faith toward God,

Heb 6:2  Of the doctrine of baptisms, and of laying on of hands, and of resurrection of the dead, and of eternal judgment.

Heb 6:3  And this will we do, if God permit.

We are admonished to “leave the principles of the doctrine of Christ [and] go on unto perfection”. Going on unto perfection is for those who are ready to do that. Leaving the principles of the doctrine of Christ and going on unto perfection, is not an admonition to forget about those who are not yet ready to “leave the principles of the doctrine of Christ”. The Truth is that this verse in Peter complements these verses in Hebrews six:

1Pe 2:1 Wherefore laying aside all malice, and all guile, and hypocrisies, and envies, and all evil speakings,

1Pe 2:2 As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby:

1Pe 2:3 If so be ye have tasted that the Lord is gracious.

How do “new born babes … taste the Lord [and know] that the Lord is gracious”? They do so only through “tast[ing] the Lord” who we are, because we are “the Christ”.

Act 22:7 And I fell unto the ground, and heard a voice saying unto me, Saul, Saul, why persecutest thou me?

Act 22:8 And I answered, Who art thou, Lord? And he said unto me, I am Jesus of Nazareth, whom thou persecutest.

So we are not only a “spiritual house” for God, we are also the physical flesh and bone of “the Christ “until this very day:

1Pe 2:4 To whom coming, as unto a living stone, disallowed indeed of men, but chosen of God, and precious,

1Pe 2:5 Ye also, as lively stones, are built up a spiritual house, a holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus Christ.

Eph 5:30 For we are members of his body, of his flesh, and of his bone.

Part of going on unto perfection is to be very careful to demonstrate to new born babes that the Lord is gracious, by realizing that we are not all at the same level of maturity, and that we must, with a very loving heart, bear with those who are desiring the sincere milk of the Word, and never belittle them or do anything unloving which would ever make them feel any less a part of the Body of Christ.

What Is the Spirit of a New Born Babe in Christ?

Here is what our Lord Himself tells us:

Mat 18:2 And Jesus called a little child unto him, and set him in the midst of them,

Mat 18:3 And said, Verily I say unto you, Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven. Mat 18:4 Whosoever therefore shall humble himself as this little child, the same is greatest in the kingdom of heaven.

Mat 18:5 And whoso shall receive one such little child in my name receiveth me.

Here is how “this little child” presents himself to Christ:

Jas 3:13 Who is a wise man and endued with knowledge among you? let him shew out of a good conversation his works with meekness of wisdom.

The Process of Repentance:

  1. We are rebuked and told to repent of our sin.
  2. We see our sin and are sorrowful.
  3. We turn from sin and bear fruit keeping with repentance.

The Lord calls us to repent:

Jer 25:4  And the LORD hath sent unto you all his servants the prophets, rising early and sending them; but ye have not hearkened, nor inclined your ear to hear.

Jer 25:5  They said, Turn ye again now every one from his evil way, and from the evil of your doings, and dwell in the land that the LORD hath given unto you and to your fathers for ever and ever:

Jer 25:6  And go not after other gods to serve them, and to worship them, and provoke me not to anger with the works of your hands; and I will do you no hurt.

Eze 14:6 “Therefore say to the house of Israel, “Thus says the Lord GOD:” Repent, turn away from your idols, and turn your faces away from all your abominations.

Eze 18:30 “Therefore I will judge you, O house of Israel, everyone according to his ways,” says the Lord GOD.” Repent, and turn from all your transgressions, so that iniquity will not be your ruin.

Why can we apply things that happened to people in the old Testament to our lives?

1Co 10:11 Now all these things happened unto them for ensamples (examples): and they are written for our admonition

We have to realize that we are sinful before we are able to repent.

Mar 2:17 When Jesus heard it, He said to them,” Those who are well have no need of a physician, but those who are sick. I did not come to call the righteous, but sinners, to repentance.”

Mat 9:13 … For I did not come to call the righteous, but sinners, to repentance.

The law of Moses (Law of the Gentiles) shows us that we are sin:

Rom 3:20 Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin.

Rom 7:7 What shall we say then? Is the law sin? God forbid. Nay, I had not known sin, but by the law: for I had not known lust, except the law had said, Thou shalt not covet.

Sorrow precedes repentance:

2Co 7:9  Now I rejoice, not that ye were made sorry, but that ye sorrowed to repentance: for ye were made sorry after a godly manner, that ye might receive damage by us in nothing.

2Co 7:10  For godly sorrow worketh repentance to salvation not to be repented of: but the sorrow of the world worketh death.

2Co 7:11  For behold this selfsame thing, that ye sorrowed after a godly sort, what carefulness it wrought in you, yea, what clearing of yourselves, yea, what indignation, yea, what fear, yea, what vehement desire, yea, what zeal, yea, what revenge! In all things ye have approved yourselves to be clear in this matter.

Here is an example of repentance:

1Ki 8:46  If they sin against thee, (for there is no man that sinneth not,) and thou be angry with them, and deliver them to the enemy, so that they carry them away captives unto the land of the enemy, far or near;

1Ki 8:47  Yet if they shall bethink themselves in the land whither they were carried captives, and repent, and make supplication unto thee in the land of them that carried them captives, saying, We have sinned, and have done perversely, we have committed wickedness;

This is an example of NOT repenting:

Jer 8:6 I listened and heard, But they do not speak aright. No man repented of his wickedness, Saying, “What have I done?’ Everyone turned to his own.

Repentance comes before the Kingdom of God.  What is the Kingdom of God?

Rom 14:16 -17 Therefore do not let what is for you a good thing be spoken of as evil; for the kingdom of God is not eating and drinking, but righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit.

Repentance prepares the way for the Kingdom of God within us:

Mat 3:2-3 and saying, “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand!” For this is he who was spoken of by the prophet Isaiah, saying: “The voice of one crying in the wilderness: “Prepare the way of the LORD;

Repentance leads to forgiveness of sins and the gift of the Holy Spirit:

Act 3:19 Repent therefore and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, so that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord.

Act 2:38 Then Peter said to them, “Repent, and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.

Who will repent?

2Pe 3:9 The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance.

1Co 15:22-23 For as in Adam all die, so in Christ all will be made alive. But each in his own turn: Christ, the firstfruits; then, when he comes, those who belong to him.

We do not repent until we are being chastened greatly with many trials:

Rev 9:20 But the rest of mankind, who were not killed by these plagues, did not repent of the works of their hands, that they should not worship demons, and idols of gold, silver, brass, stone, and wood, which can neither see nor hear nor walk.

Rev 16:9 And men were scorched with great heat, and they blasphemed the name of God who has power over these plagues; and they did not repent and give Him glory.

Rev 16:11 They blasphemed the God of heaven because of their pains and their sores, and did not repent of their deeds.

How Do We Repent?

2 Tim 2:25-26 … if God perhaps WILL GRANT them repentance, so that they may know the truth, and that they may come to their senses and escape the snare of the devil, having been taken captive by him to do his will.

Act 5:31 Him God has exalted to His right hand to be Prince and Savior, TO GIVE repentance to Israel and forgiveness of sins.

Act 11:18 When they heard these things they became silent; and they glorified God, saying, “Then God has also granted to the Gentiles repentance to life.

Man repents only and because we are granted and given repentance not because our flesh desires to repent on its own.

Rom 2:4 Or despisest thou the riches of his goodness and forbearance and longsuffering; not knowing that the goodness of God leadeth thee to repentance?

Hence the word GOODNESS;

chréstotés: goodness, excellence, uprightness

Original Word: χρηστότης, τητος, ἡ
Short Definition: goodness, benignity, kindness
5544 /xrēstótēs (“useful kindness”) refers to meeting real needs, in God’s way, in Histiming (fashion). Hence 5544 (xrēstótēs) is listed as a fruit of the Holy Spirit (Gal 5:22). With the believer,

Hence the word REPENTANCE:

metanoia: change of mind, repentance

Original Word: μετάνοια, ας, ἡ
Part of Speech: Noun, Feminine
Transliteration: metanoia
Phonetic Spelling: (met-an’-oy-ah)
Short Definition: repentance, a change of mind Definition: repentance, a change of mind, change in the inner man Cognate: 3341 metánoia – literally, “a change of mind” (“after–thought “); repentance. See 3340 /metanoeō (“repent”).

Who puts this new heart and Spirit in us?

Ezekiel 36:26 I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you; I will remove from you your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh.

Hence the word HEART:

leb: inner man, mind, will, heart

Original Word: לֵב
Part of Speech: Noun Masculine
Transliteration: leb
Phonetic Spelling: (labe)
Short Definition: heart

Is Repentance Necessary for Salvation?

2 Corinthians 7:10 For having sorrow in a godly way results in repentance that leads to salvation and leaves no regrets. But the sorrow of the world produces death.

And here is how it is done, Spiritual surgery:

Ezekiel 36:26 I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you; I will remove from you your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh.

Ezekiel 36:27 I will put My Spirit within you and cause you to walk in My statutes, and you will keep My judgments and do them.

Col 2:11  In whom also ye are circumcised with the circumcision made without hands, in putting off the body of the sins of the flesh by the circumcision of Christ:

Romans 8:15 For you have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but you have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father.

Turning/Conversion:

Those who turn or repent will turn from transgression. The Lord is burning out all that which defiles out of a man who has been so blessed, chosen and granted this gift of repentance unto life.

Isa 48:10 Behold, I have refined you, but not as silver; I have tested you in the furnace of affliction.

Isa 59:20 “The Redeemer will come to Zion, And to those who turn from transgression in Jacob,” Says the LORD.

Isa 59:21 “As for Me,” says the LORD, “this is My covenant with them: My Spirit who is upon you, and My words which I have put in your mouth, shall not depart from your mouth, nor from the mouth of your descendants, nor from the mouth of your descendants’ descendants,” says the LORD, “from this time and forevermore.”

After repenting and being forgiven, we are to change our actions.

Mat 3:7  But when he saw many of the Pharisees and Sadducees come to his baptism, he said unto them, O generation of vipers, who hath warned you to flee from the wrath to come?

Mat 3:8  Bring forth therefore fruits meet for repentance:

Mat 3:9  And think not to say within yourselves, We have Abraham to our father: for I say unto you, that God is able of these stones to raise up children unto Abraham.

Mat 3:10  And now also the axe is laid unto the root of the trees: therefore every tree which bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.

Act 26:20 but declared first to those in Damascus and in Jerusalem, and throughout all the region of Judea, and then to the Gentiles, that they should repent, turn to God, and do works befitting repentance.

Repentance is the first step, then comes Judgment:

Mat 3:11 I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance, but He who is coming after me is mightier than I, whose sandals I am not worthy to carry. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire.

Mat 3:12 His winnowing fan is in His hand, and He will thoroughly clean out His threshing floor, and gather His wheat into the barn; but He will burn up the chaff with unquenchable fire.

Different Types of Sorrow:

Repentance is the fruit of being sorry for having made a mistake. There are two totally different types of sorrow which are mentioned in the Scriptures, and they are both mentioned for our admonition. Both are ours to know and to experience. Both types of sorrow are contrasted in these verses of 2 Corinthians:

2 Co 7:9 Now I rejoice, not that ye were made sorry, but that ye sorrowed to repentance: for ye were made sorry after a godly manner, that ye might receive damage by us in nothing.

2 Co 7:10 For godly sorrow worketh repentance to salvation not to be repented of: but the sorrow of the world worketh death.

2 Co 7:11 For behold this selfsame thing, that ye sorrowed after a godly sort, what carefulness it wrought in you, yea, what clearing of yourselves, yea, what indignation, yea, what fear, yea, what vehement desire, yea, what zeal, yea, what revenge! In all things ye have approved yourselves to be clear in this matter.

The Sorrow of the World:

“The sorrow of the world” is the sorrow we feel when we are caught red- handed, and we are forced to publicly acknowledge our sin. There is no godly sorrow or real repentance involved, and we go right back to our wallow in the mire.

We have many Biblical examples of the sorrow of this world, like that of Balaam the prophet, and that of King Saul. Both of these men are types of what is within the flesh of our own old, first man Adam. Worldly sorrows are based upon the approval of men, giving in to the people.

Godly Sorrow:

When we see Godly sorrow which works repentance, we are witnessing the fruit of true godly love for our brothers, which is demonstrated only by our obedience to His doctrine and His commandments which drag us to that repentance.

1Jn 4:7 Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God.

1Jn 5:2 By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God, and keep his commandments.

The Power of repentance:

One thing that made the testimony of the apostle Paul so powerful was the fact that he had “breathed out slaughter against, [and] persecuted the Church of God.” It was his repentance that made his testimony so powerful. So it is with us. Paul had “a change of mind”. He repented, the Lord forgave him and healed him.

What leads us to Repentance?

There is simply no way around this Truth. It is” the riches of His goodness and forbearance and longsuffering.” We are being led to repentance by “the riches of the Lord’s goodness and forbearance and longsuffering,” of the evil experience which He has given us to humble us and “bring us to repentance.”

Rom 2:4 Or do you despise the riches of His goodness, forbearance, and longsuffering, not knowing that the goodness of God leads you to repentance?

God is preparing us to be kings and priests who will be given the rulership of all mankind since Adam within and without. It requires that we be tried and tested until our righteousness exceeds that of the Pharisees. It is a fiery trial but the glory which is to be revealed in us will make all the suffering and struggles against our flesh and the powers and principalities in the heavens, unworthy to be compared of.

Rom 8:18 For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.

Recap:

  • Repentance is vital for our salvation.
  • Repentance is a gift from God and cannot be done on our own initiative, the Lord grants us repentance.
  • Repentance is one of the six milk doctrines.
  • We are to move onto maturity, leaving the milk doctrines behind.
  • We are being rebuked and told to repent.
  • We have to be chastised with many trials before we repent.
  • Repentance means a “change of mind”.
  • We see our sin and are sorrowful.
  • We turn from our sins and bear fruit keeping with repentance.
  • Repentance prepares the way for the Kingdom of God within us.
  • Repentance leads to forgiveness and the gift of the Holy Spirit.
  • There are two sorrows, godly and worldly sorrow, working salvation and working death.
  • It is God’s goodness that leads us to repentance.

And in case we missed it, the Kingdom of God is the state we are in when we are being obedient to Christ having joy and peace that comes with Christ’s righteousness.

What are dead works?

Dead works are things we do while we are dead in our trespasses and sins. So who is dead and what is death spiritually?

We are spiritually dead when we sin. All of mankind is dead until Christ comes which is now for us, His first fruits, making us alive, forgiving us our sins. Note before forgiveness comes repentance. The rest of mankind are not being judged now. They say they “see” and have no need of repentance, they are not being judged now and being healed of Christ at this time.

Rom 6:23 For the wages of sin is death…

Eph 2:1-3 Also you– being dead in the trespasses and the sins, in which you once walked, following the course of this world, following the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that is now at work in the sons of disobedience – among whom we all once lived in the passions of our flesh, carrying out the desires of the body and the mind, and were by nature children of wrath, like the rest of mankind.

2Co 5:14 For the love of Christ constraineth us; because we thus judge, that if one died for all, then were all dead:

Col 2:13 And you– being dead in the trespasses and the uncircumcision of your flesh— He made alive together with him, having forgiven you all the trespasses,

What is Death?

Rom 8:6 For to be carnally (g5461) minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.

What is to be carnally minded? Look at the Fruit of the tree:

Gal 5:19  Now the works of the flesh (g5641) are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness,

Gal 5:20  Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies,

Gal 5:21  Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.

Rom 8:7  Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be.

Rom 8:8  So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God.

Rom 8:9  But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.

Rom 8:10  And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life because of righteousness.

Christ cleanses our conscience from dead works. Before He is coming, we have to be sorrowful and repent of our sins so we may receive the implanted Word which is Christ and “His Christ”.

Heb 9:14 how much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered Himself without spot to God, cleanse your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?

Do not despise the weak in faith that are not being given to move onto maturity, how do we handle the weak in the faith, the sum of His Word is Truth:

Rom 14:1  Him that is weak in the faith receive ye, but not to doubtful disputations.

Rom 14:2  For one believeth that he may eat all things: another, who is weak, eateth herbs.

Rom 14:3  Let not him that eateth despise him that eateth not; and let not him which eateth not judge him that eateth: for God hath received him.

Gal 6:1 Brethren, if a man is overtaken in any trespass, you who are spiritual restore such a one in a spirit of gentleness, considering yourself lest you also be tempted.

2Ti 2:23  But foolish and unlearned questions avoid, knowing that they do gender strifes.

2Ti 2:24  And the servant of the Lord must not strive; but be gentle unto all men, apt to teach, patient,

2Ti 2:25  In meekness instructing those that oppose themselves; if God peradventure will give them repentance to the acknowledging of the truth;

2Ti 2:26  And that they may recover themselves out of the snare of the devil, who are taken captive by him at his will.

1Pe 3:15 But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear:

1Co 9:27 But I keep under my body, and bring it into subjection: lest that by any means, when I have preached to others, I myself should be a castaway.

Take of the Study, what are we being admonished of?

We have many reminders to admonish and exhort us to beware of becoming slothful and lazy with regards to our battle with worldly lusts. Sinful ways of living needs to be put behind us, we are not being in “times past”…… but moving towards heavenly Jerusalem, forgetting what is behind stretching out what is before.

Eph 2:2 Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience:

Eph 2:3 Among whom also we all had our conversation in times past in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind; and were by nature the children of wrath, even as others.

Becoming a doer of the Word and not just a hearer requires work. Christ did not come and is not coming so we can continue to live in sin. He comes to set the captives (all men within and in due time without) free from bondage to sin. This is the essence of what salvation is all about.

The promise of salvation is we are being saved from our sins. This comes little by little as the Scriptures declare. We are not to think we d0 it by our own strength and initiative.

Deu 7:22 And the LORD thy God will put out those nations before thee by little and little: thou mayest not consume them at once, lest the beasts of the field increase upon thee.

Eph 2:8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:

Eph 2:9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.

As we mature we are looking behind us and see progress being made as we are giving more and more dominion over sin. The Lord is long-suffering and this process takes far longer than we want and that is to teach us patience.

Heb 6:12 That ye be not slothful, but followers of them who through faith and patience inherit the promises.

Not seeing that progress should be a warning sign something is amiss. We examine ourselves to see if we are really in the faith. The grace of the Lord that scourges us and teaches us and ultimately causes us to obey the Lord (Eze 36:27) can be received in vain.

2Co 6:1 We then, as workers together with him, beseech you also that ye receive not the grace of God in vain.

We receive such grace in vain, when we do not learn from our mistakes and the chastening the Lord brings when we sin. If we are failing to learn the lessons, we are doomed to repeat them and this will impede moving on to be a mature man in Christ. There is a fine line between claiming ourselves to be the “chief of sinners” (which we are apart from Christ working in us) and to receive the grace of the Lord in vain.

Rom 6:14 For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace.

We are naturally brute beasts (Ecc 3:18, Rom 7:24) and it takes our entire lives to be delivered and we only receive it in down payment form until we are given our new spiritual bodies. We fall victim to lascivious spirits that keep us in bondage to sin. We need to be reminded of this and our need to get up and to get back on the narrow road and learn what went wrong and make changes in our walk. To win the war we have to start and continue in winning the battles against our fleshly desires.

1Pe 2:11 Dearly beloved, I beseech you as strangers and pilgrims, abstain from fleshly lusts, which war against the soul;

Sin no longer should be ruling in our mortal fleshly bodies because as our faith grows and actions are added to our faith and we (Christ rising up in us) begin to gain victories little by little.

Rom 6:12 Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body, that ye should obey it in the lusts thereof.

We speak often to one another of the Lord’s Sovereignty in ALL THINGS but much less frequently of the battles and lessons REQUIRED to overcome sin and walk out our faith. We need to beware of lascivious spirits and remember we do not inherit the promises until we have done the will of God.

Heb 10:36 For ye have need of patience, that, after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise.

And what is that will?

1Th 4:3 For this is the will of God, even your sanctification, that ye should abstain from (spiritual) fornication:

We best beware of “those men”, especially our carnal deceitful hearts that creep in unawares with a lascivious spirit. Like Jude, we need to exhort one another to be diligent which means careful to contend for our faith. It is the lazy spirit of sloth and lasciviousness that wants to use God’s sovereignty and the salvation promised to all men to avoid the need to strive and labor in our walk of faith.

Jud 1:3 Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort you that ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints.

Jud 1:4 For there are certain men crept in unawares, who were before of old ordained to this condemnation, ungodly men, turning the grace of our God into lasciviousness, and denying the only Lord God, and our Lord Jesus Christ.

Jude reminds us what happens if we do not move onto maturity and stop our progress of overcoming sin. The Lord is destroying the old mindset.

Jud 1:5 I will therefore put you in remembrance, though ye once knew this, how that the Lord, having saved the people out of the land of Egypt, afterward destroyed them that believed not.

Our learning comes by suffering and being chastised by the Lord.

Heb 12:13 And make straight paths for your feet, lest that which is lame be turned out of the way; but let it rather be healed. Heb 12:14 Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord:

1Pe 1:15 But as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation;

We endure to the end and we do that by fighting, striving and working. It is the last days and we are being warned what happens in those days in each of us and this is what happens …… we have a form of godliness but denying the power of Christ in us (thru our unbelief) to change us.

2Ti 3:5 Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.

Being cautious of pinning all of our sins on the Lord and using that to justify our continued bad behavior is how a lascivious spirit deceives us. The Lord is causing it but He is doing it to His people so we are learning and turning. We are fighting to lay hold of the life promised and flee from those things that is defiling us.

1Ti 6:11 But thou, O man of God, flee these things; and follow after righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, meekness.

1Ti 6:12 Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses

Guarding our hearts and the entry points into our life is being required. Faith without works are dead.

Pro 4:23 Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life…

Pro 4:26 Ponder the path of thy feet, and let all thy ways be established.

Pro 4:27 Turn not to the right hand nor to the left: remove thy foot from evil.

If we stop striving diligently we are falling short.

Luk 13:24 Strive to enter in at the strait gate: for many, I say unto you, will seek to enter in, and shall not be able.

We are reaping what we are sowing. If we continue to sow inequity to that disobedience (no matter what it is) we are also reaping.

Heb 2:1 Therefore we ought to give the more earnest heed to the things (i.e. strive and work) which we have heard, lest at any time we should let them slip.

Heb 2:2 For if the word spoken by angels was stedfast, and every transgression and disobedience received a just recompence of reward;

Sins are being recompensed.

Rom 2:6 Who will render to every man according to his deeds:

We work and strive together to make our calling and election sure. We add to our faith and our knowledge the things Peter mentions. This is the way we are BEING made partakers of His Divine nature (i.e. saved from our sins) and escape the lusts of this world within and without. We are moving onto maturity if the Lord wills. The end of the matter is our obedience and this comes by ADDING to our knowledge and to our faith. This is how the DOING part comes about.

2Pe 1:5 And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge;

2Pe 1:6 And to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness;

2Pe 1:7 And to godliness brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness charity(LOVE)

Jesus Christ is not a minister of sin.

Gal 2:17 But if, while we seek to be justified by Christ, we ourselves also are found sinners, is therefore Christ the minister of sin? God forbid.

We are slaves to sins when we start out, but we are becoming slaves of righteousness.

Rom 6:18 Being then made free from sin, ye became the servants of righteousness.

Rom 6:22 But now being made free from sin, and become servants to God, ye have your fruit unto holiness, and the end everlasting life.

Without us being given the zeal to work, we will not eat and will not grow in our faith and maturity. A lazy spirit leads to lasciviousness and abusing the grace of the Lord.

2Th 3:10 For even when we were with you, this we commanded you, that if any would not work, neither should he eat.

Wisdom is the combination of KNOWLEDGE with understanding that comes with experience. Fear of the Lord is necessary to move us on to be Holy as the Lord is Holy.

Pro 9:10 The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom: and the knowledge of the holy is understanding.

Wisdom results from the fear of the Lord and that is how we learn the lessons and become wiser and wiser with the trials and temptations we are continually given daily.

Isa 33:5 The LORD is exalted; for he dwelleth on high: he hath filled Zion with judgment and righteousness.

Isa 33:6 And wisdom and knowledge shall be the stability of thy times, and strength of salvation: the fear of the LORD is his treasure.

Under the law of true faith, Christ is judging His people.

Heb 10:26 For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins,

Heb 10:27 But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries.

We are proving our faith by passing the test and trials that are given to us.

2Co 13:5 Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates?

Conclusion:

Christ is honoring the Father by giving “the firstfruits of all thine increase” none of which will be lost (Joh 17:12). In the end however we weep bitter tears in our seasons and humanity will weep bitter tears and be ashamed (H954disappointed, or delayed) simply because they were not granted to come to true repentance in this age (2Co 7:10).

Our prayer is to never be put to “confusion”, never to become “dry”.

“…let me never be put to confusion” H954 בּוּשׁ bûsh boosh

A primitive root; properly to pale, that is, by implication to be ashamed; also (by implication) to be disappointed, or delayed: – (be, make, bring to, cause, put to, with, a-) shame (-d), be (put to) confounded (-fusion), become dry, delay, be long.

God’s sons intimately understand that repentance is a gift of a loving Father, having wept and weeping bitter tears ourselves as we learned and are learning and be convinced that He has always been the One doing all things, including the bringing of a few to true godly repentance in this age of our judgment, so we in turn now show mercy to those who are being delayed by the Father for our sake. We have nothing to offer, it is the Lord keeping us in all things!

Joh 17:12 While I was with them in the world, I kept them in thy name: those that thou gavest me I have kept, and none of them is lost, but the son of perdition; that the scripture might be fulfilled.

We are being matured in the Church of the living God to move beyond the six milk doctrines:

This next verse is very symbolic of the life of Christ and His Body who are being matured in the Church, with Christ’s mother being a type of the church (Luk 1:28, Luk 2:35).

Psa 71:6 By thee have I been holden up from the womb: thou art he that took me out of my mother’s bowels: my praise shall be continually of thee.

Christ was “holden (H5564) up from the womb” (which is ‘shown favour’ or ‘established’) not just in the womb of his mother which symbolizes the Church but his entire life (Luk 2:40, 2Pe 3:18).

Jeremiah is another example of this predestined conditioned (type and shadow) that God has given to the elect to experience before the rest of humanity (Jer 1:5-7).

H5564
סמך
sâmak
saw-mak’

A primitive root; to prop (literally or figuratively); reflexively to lean upon or take hold of (in a favorable or unfavorable sense): – bear up, establish, (up-) hold, lay, lean, lie hard, put, rest self, set self, stand fast, stay (self), sustain.

We are called to be “holden (H5564) up from the womb” and to go onto maturity so that we may, God willing, be used to help bring in the later harvest of humanity who will also be “holden (H5564) up from the womb” of the ‘earth, earth, earth’ condition (“my mother’s bowels”) that we all must come out of spoken of in Jeremiah 22:29.

Here and now in the Body of Christ, we are striving to present ourselves and each man perfect before the Lord in our seasons.

Col 1:28 Whom we preach, warning every man, and teaching every man in all wisdom; that we may present every man perfect in Christ Jesus:

We are a peculiar people “a wonder unto many”, we, who are seated in heavenly places, worshipping God in Spirit and in Truth, at truth that has been taken away from the world today.

Psa 71:7 I am as a wonder (H4159) unto many; but thou art my strong refuge.

Isa 20:3 And the LORD said, Like as my servant Isaiah hath walked naked and barefoot three years for a sign and wonder (H4159) upon Egypt and upon Ethiopia;

The Lord has set in motion this witness being proclaimed throughout the Body of Christ and has provided us “strong refuge” so that what has begun within us can and will be accomplished in Christ through whom we are able to endure all things today and every day.

1Pe 4:12 Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened unto you:

1Pe 4:13 But rejoice, inasmuch as ye are partakers of Christ’s sufferings; that, when his glory shall be revealed, ye may be glad also with exceeding joy.

Heb 12:2 Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.

We ought to be a people with praise continually on our lips and with a spirit of gratitude that honors God continually who gives us the gift of repentance through Christ and “His Christ”.

Heb 13:15 By him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to his name.

We are all getting there Amen!

Rev 3:19 As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent.

Act 17:30 And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men everywhere to repent:

Rev 1:11 saying, “I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last,” and, “What you see, write in a book and send it to the seven churches which are in Asia: to Ephesus, to Smyrna, to Pergamos, to Thyatira, to Sardis, to Philadelphia, and to Laodicea.”

The dream is one. Repentance is preparing the way for the Kingdom of God to come. It is the washing of the water by the Word, the HEARING of the Word which brings a “change of mind”. The Lord then forgives us and judges us “is, was and will be” so that we may be entering into His rest “little by little” in our Day of the Lord.

Rom 10:17 So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

What Is Man’s Role In Salvation?

The quick and true answer is NO ROLE.  Man has absolutely NO ROLE in salvation. NONE. NADA, ZIP. There is not one Scripture properly divided that says otherwise. This is the truth.  Earlier this year as I wrote on this blog, I asked a Babylonian minister to send me his definitions of the basic tenants of God.  He sent me to a web page that was titled Man’s Role vs. God’s Role In Salvation.   Unbelievable the heresy on that page but the man had no ears and did not hear my rebuke or correction so I moved on as commanded.  But I had always wanted to write a quick post to lay out the truth and expose the total absolute carnality of the thoughts and logic that man has any role in his salvation.  Men will do things that is for sure, but the power and causation of what we do is always from the Lord.  Putting the sum of thy word together makes clear what is truth.

Jon 2:9 But I will sacrifice unto thee with the voice of thanksgiving; I will pay that that I have vowed. Salvation is of the LORD.

If we can simply come to the word of God as a little child and be taught the truth and simply believe what the Scriptures say. Few are given this ability to see and apply simple truths on a macro scale. It really is this simple.

Eph 1:11 In whom also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestinated according to the purpose of him who worketh all things after the counsel of his own will:

2Co 5:18 And all things are of God

Rom 11:36 For of him, and through him, and to him, are all things: to whom be glory for ever. Amen.

Act 17:28 For in him we live, and move, and have our being; as certain also of your own poets have said, For we are also his offspring

Joh_3:35 The Father loveth the Son, and hath given all things into his hand.

Carnal minds have twisted and perverted the word of God and leavened all the doctrines. What carnal minds cannot see is that everything required of salvation, is something the Lord gives or imposes upon man. We will briefly review this below and even see that the Lord even made covenant with us, we do nothing, it is all HIM and He changes not.

Faith – That is given to man, the few chosen by God for now. No flesh will be boasting it saved itself.

Eph 2:8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that (the faith) not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:

Eph 2:9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.

The Lord is going to make crystal clear to you via the process of judgment, when that day comes, that you have nothing to do with your salvation or faith.  If any part of you thinks you have a role in it, you don’t yet know the Lord in spirit.  God cannot use anyone that thinks they bring anything to the table.  We will be humbled and made meek and no flesh shall glory in the Lord when we are judged.  All men will learn this the hard way.  We all will live by every word and will be confounded by the wisdom of God and shown the utter folly of carnal logic and thinking we bring anything to the table.

1Co 1:27 But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise (you and me) ; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty (our prideful beast);

1Co 1:28 And base things of the world, and things which are despised, hath God chosen, yea, and things which are not, to bring to nought things that are:

1Co 1:29 That no flesh should glory in his presence.

Men thinking they choose God in any way shape or form, even receiving the “free gift” is carnal delusion.  This deception enables  the self righteous beast that all of us are at heart to sit on God’s throne and deceive us into thinking we serve God but we are actually working in opposition to the Lord not knowing we are that man of sin.

2Th 2:4 Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.

Repentance – This is granted, it is GIVEN to those God has chosen, His very Elect, Israel.

Act 5:31 Him hath God exalted with his right hand to be a Prince and a Saviour, for to give repentance to Israel, and forgiveness of sins.

Act 11:18 When they heard these things they became silent; and they glorified God, saying, “Then God has also granted to the Gentiles repentance to life.

Of course knowing who is Israel and who are the Gentiles is important to know what is being said here.  There are only two types of people, Jews and Gentiles and even the Gentiles are Jews in waiting; awaiting the appointed time for their judgment thru which all men will be saved and all of God’s creation restored back to Him.

Rom 11:26  And so all Israel shall be saved: as it is written, There shall come out of Sion the Deliverer, and shall turn away ungodliness from Jacob:

Man repents only and  because we are granted and given repentance not because our flesh desires to repent on it’s own.  As we will see our very thoughts are given to us by God but know it is HIS goodness that leads us to repentance.  Our free will has nothing to do with it since free will is strong delusion!

Rom 2:4 Or despisest thou the riches of his goodness and forbearance and longsuffering; not knowing that the goodness of God leadeth thee to repentance?

Obedience – Our flesh is incapable of obeying God and He will first prove that to us by bringing judgment upon us to humble us. We obey because HE causes us to obey, it is Christ in us doing it, it is not us. anything else, the belief in free will is strong delusion.  It is this judgment, the scourging that is the chastening that defines what the true grace of God actually is.

Eze 36:27 And I will put my spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes, and ye shall keep my judgments, and do them.

Heb 12:6 For whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth, and scourgeth every son whom he receiveth.

Psa 23:2 He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters.

What the carnal mind cannot understand is that we can do nothing, EVEN SIN, outside of the will of God. Apart from Jesus we do nothing.

Joh 15:1 I am the true vine, and my Father is the husbandman.

Joh 15:2 Every branch in me that beareth not fruit (i.e. sinful passions) he taketh away: and every branch that beareth fruit, he purgeth it, that it may bring forth more fruit.

Joh 15:3 Now ye are clean through the word which I have spoken unto you.

Joh 15:4 Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me.

Joh 15:5 I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do NOTHING. (even sin, nothing is nothing)

This all part of the wonderful works of God to the children of men. The Potter is doing it all, molding the clay, causing good and evil, causing obedience and disobedience. Free will has no place in God’s kingdom and is strong carnal delusion.

Isa 63:17 O LORD, why hast thou made us to err from thy ways, and hardened our heart from thy fear? Return for thy servants’ sake, the tribes of thine inheritance.

The evil within, in the kingdom of God in our cities within is all of the Lord.

Amo 3:6  Shall a trumpet be blown in the city, and the people not be afraid? shall there be evil in a city, and the LORD hath not done it?

Isa 45:7  I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things.

Pro 16:4  The LORD hath made all things for himself: yea, even the wicked for the day of evil.

The carnal mind and 99.9% of those that call themselves Christians will not receive this and will think it is blasphemy. Yet nowhere does the Bible ever say man is responsible for anything. What it does say is God is working in us to do all that we do.

Php 2:13 For it is God (it is not YOU) which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure.

HE will work all His good pleasure and it has already been declared.  God is not subject to man’s will.

Isa 46:10 Declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times the things that are not yet done, saying, My counsel shall stand, and I will do all my pleasure:

Giving an account is not being responsible. The fact is, the Potter is responsible and we are just clay in His hands. We can do nothing, not even sin, outside of His will. Blasphemy blasphemy will yell the carnal mind that know not the Scripture. He is the one directing our every step. We be it good or evil are all the works of his hands. People can read these Scriptures 1000 times yet, say God is Sovereign but then claim man has free will. What utter delusion.

Isa 64:8 But now, O LORD, thou art our father; we are the clay, and thou our potter; and we all are the work of thy hand.

Jer 10:23 O LORD, I know that the way of man is not in himself: it is not in man that walketh to direct his steps.

The fact is, our very thoughts, every one of them, is given to us by God. That is an all powerful God few believe.

Amo 4:13 For, lo, he that formeth the mountains, and createth the wind, and declareth unto man what is his thought, that maketh the morning darkness, and treadeth upon the high places of the earth, The LORD, The God of hosts, is his name.

God gives us the very words we speak, all of them.

Pro 16:1 The preparations of the heart in man, and the answer of the tongue, is from the LORD.

Isa 57:19 I (the Lord) create the fruit of the lips

Men that think God needs something from them, do not know the Lord. They follow another jesus.

Act 17:25 Neither is worshipped with men’s hands, as though he needed any thing, seeing he giveth to all life, and breath, and all things;

Act 17:26 And hath made of one blood all nations of men for to dwell on all the face of the earth, and hath determined the times before appointed, and the bounds of their habitation;

Act 17:27 That they should seek the Lord, if haply they might feel after him, and find him, though he be not far from every one of us:

Act 17:28 For in him we live, and move, and have our being; as certain also of your own poets have said, For we are also his offspring.

I did not cover every aspect/requirement for salvation as that is not practical and indeed there are many.  A dear brother just put up a great post regarding LOVE and if the Lord coerces us to love.  Hopefully, the truth is obvious now as ALL THINGS certainly includes love.

God Even Makes Covenant For Us

Man does not choose God, God chooses man. Amazing how Babylonian ministers have invented this idea of accepting Jesus into your heart as the way of salvation. Christ had a different truth which was….

Joh 15:16Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you,

The stories about Israel are not a history lesson people.  They are examples for how God works with all men in the age of Christ.  In fact those words in the OT were not even written for the people that lived back then, they we written for God’s Elect that would come later (See 1 Peter 1:10-12 if you doubt this).  But know the Lord even brings us into covenant.  We don’t choose Him, He makes us lie down in His green pastures. Where is the YOU in the picture?

Eze 20:33 As I live, saith the Lord GOD, surely with a mighty hand, and with a stretched out arm, and with fury poured out, will I rule over you:

God Almighty does not need to ask our permission to rule over us!  LOL

Eze 20:34 And I will bring you out from the people, and will gather you out of the countries wherein ye are scattered, with a mighty hand, and with a stretched out arm, and with fury poured out.
Eze 20:35 And I will bring you into the wilderness of the people, and there will I plead with you face to face.
Eze 20:36 Like as I pleaded with your fathers in the wilderness of the land of Egypt, so will I plead with you, saith the Lord GOD.
Eze 20:37And I will cause you to pass under the rod, and I will bring you into the bond of the covenant:
Eze 20:38 And I will purge out from among you the rebels, and them that transgress against me: I will bring them forth out of the country where they sojourn, and they shall not enter into the land of Israel: and ye shall know that I am the LORD.

There is no YOU in the process.  The LORD does it all.  He purges out the sin,  He destroys the rebels that live within His kingdom.  He pleads with us thru fiery judgment.  There are NO YOU WILL’s, it is all I WILL says the Lord.  Those that see that don’t yet see the sovereignty of God and are still very carnal.  Man thinking he saves himself by choosing Christ is nothing more than the self right beast we all are sitting on God’s throne in our hearts!

We see this immutable fact throughout Scripture. Not one person on their own initiative sought out and found the Lord. The Lord came to all of them, Abraham, Noah, Paul, all the disciples were chosen out of the world. They had no choice in the matter, that is contrary to all the Scriptures.

Joh 15:19 If ye were of the world, the world would love his own: but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you.

Even those that come out of Babylon are chosen of God and dragged out. So says the Scripture.

Ezr 1:5 Then rose up the chief of the fathers of Judah and Benjamin, and the priests, and the Levites, with all them whose spirit God had raised, to go up to build the house of the LORD which is in Jerusalem.

Hag 1:14 So the LORD stirred up the spirit of Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, governor of Judah, and the spirit of Joshua the son of Jehozadak, the high priest, and the spirit of all the remnant of the people (THE ELECT); and they came and worked on the house of the LORD of hosts, their God,

There is no room for free will in any of this. It is the Lord’s work. He stirs up our spirits and that is what leads us to Him and to work in building His House. The story is consistent, the truth changes not. Here we have the Israelite s (type for God’s Elect) being stirred up and being MADE WILLING to build the House for God.

Exo 35:21And they came, every one whose heart stirred him up, and every one whom his spirit made willing, and they brought the LORD’S offering to the work of the tabernacle of the congregation, and for all his service, and for the holy garments.

God makes us willing. He gives us every single desire of our heart, be it for good or evil. He is the Potter. The Lord even makes covenant for us as we see in the story of Abram.

Gen 15:17 And it came to pass, that, when the sun went down, and it was dark, behold a smoking furnace, and a burning lamp that passed between those pieces.

Gen 15:18 In the same day the LORD made a covenant with Abram, saying, Unto thy seed have I given this land, from the river of Egypt unto the great river, the river Euphrates:

What was Abram’s part? Nothing. The Lord did it all. You can see the same for Noah and it is the same for all of God’s Elect, we were chosen before the world was formed. God did it and in the appointed time, the burning lamp and fiery furnace that represents the judgment of God against our flesh and carnal mind will come and the process of being made new will begin.

Act 14:22 Confirming the souls of the disciples, and exhorting them to continue in the faith, and that we must through much tribulation enter into the kingdom of God.

ALL THINGS ARE OF GOD. No man can come to Him unless it is given to them and they are dragged to Christ. Yet despite clear words that speak, this, it is the false gospels that are believed and followed by the billions of Christians. They are living blind, under strong delusion, letting carnal babes rules over them.

Joh 6:65 And he said, Therefore said I unto you, that no man can come unto me, except it were given unto him of my Father.

Joh 6:44 No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me drag him: and I will raise him up at the last day.

The whomsoever will are the ones God has chosen, the same ones to whom IT IS GIVEN to know the mysteries of the kingdom of God.

Mat 13:11 He answered and said unto them, Because it is given unto you to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it is not given.

I hope your ears and eyes are blessed of the Lord and you understand what I am saying and see it in the word.

Mat 13:16 But blessed are your eyes, for they see: and your ears, for they hear.

It is given to very few as many are called and few are chosen. The few chosen are dragged out of this world to Christ. If you look into it, you will see all those verses that say man has to do X, Y or Z and then you “might” be saved. The word MIGHT was added, it is not there in the Greek. It was added by blind carnal translators who gave us the KJV bible written to support their false gospels and other jesus. The church had fallen away long before the Bible was even finished being written. Yet everyone assumes the falling away is out there in the future, not even considering they were born into it, blind as bats.

1Jn 4:1 Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.

1Jn 4:2 Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God:

1Jn 4:3 And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.

I see many people, my own family reading many Christian books that sound good and look good to the carnal mind. But one can spot these wolves a mile away when you see things in the covers or the titles of the book that speak to man having a role in salvation. You see all these statements saying, you must go all in for Christ, that is all nonsense, it is denying the Lord and exalting man. Here is what Christ says to them.

Mat 22:29 Jesus answered and said unto them, Ye do err, not knowing the scriptures, nor the power of God.

Run from these deceivers who look oh so good in the flesh. They preach another jesus and if you follow them and get caught up into doing many fleshly good works and think they are your own, this is where you are at.

Mat 7:21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.

Mat 7:22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?

Mat 7:23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

When Will We Know We Have No Role?

Until and unless ones come to see that free will is strong delusion, they don’t know God nor Christ except in the flesh. God has to drag us thru that veil of flesh and thru His fiery trials and judgments, then and only then will we know He is the Lord. Interesting to note the “WHEN” we shall know He is the Lord. It is when Christ appears to us and begins to grind us to powder.

Mat 21:44 And whosoever shall fall on this stone shall be broken: but on whomsoever it shall fall, it will grind him to powder.

Ezekiel 7:9  And mine eye shall not spare, neither will I have pity: I will recompense thee according to thy ways and thine abominations that are in the midst of thee; and ye shall know that I am the LORD that smiteth.

It is by this process of judgment, the strange work of the Lord that we come to know Him.

Until we look behind in our walk after judgment has fallen upon us, we will never be able to see this all as the Lord’s work.  We don’t learn righteousness until judgment comes to our earth and then we will learn what being Lord really means.

Isa 26:9when thy judgments are in the earth, the inhabitants of the world will learn righteousness.

Exo 6:6 Wherefore say unto the children of Israel, I am the LORD, and I will bring you out from under the burdens of the Egyptians, and I will rid you out of their bondage, and I will redeem you with a stretched out arm, and with great judgments:

I thank God the Lord has not had pity as otherwise we would stay right where we are in the world playing church. We would therefore NEVER KNOW HIM. Far better to pay the cost of count of the blessing of being a chosen disciple even if it costs you everything the world so highly esteems. Carrying a cross is painful to our flesh, it will bring great sorrow. JOB came to see this.

Ezekiel 7:27 The king shall mourn, and the prince shall be clothed with desolation, and the hands of the people of the land shall be troubled: I will do unto them after their way, and according to their deserts will I judge them; and they shall know that I am the LORD.

Ezekiel 11:10 Ye shall fall by the sword; I will judge you in the border of Israel; and ye shall know that I am the LORD.

Ezekiel 12:15 And they shall know that I am the LORD, WHEN I shall scatter them among the nations, and disperse them in the countries.

Ezekiel 30:26 And I will scatter the Egyptians among the nations, and disperse them among the countries; and they shall know that I am the LORD.

Until we live thru these days, we will believe in free will and while we will call Jesus Lord, we will NOT know Him and that He truly, really is Lord. Not only do birds not fall from the sky outside of His will but we don’t have a thought, speak a word, take a step or do anything outside of His will either. That is God Almighty. The Lord believed by Babylonians is a puny weak pathetic God, that cannot even get His own will done and save everyone.

2Pe 3:9 The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.

The Lord Really Is Lord!!

The definition of LORD of Lords and King of Kings needs to be elevated from what we knew when we were yet carnal and devoid of true knowledge. The Lord really is Lord of the heavens and the earth. These speak not of physical things, as heaven is our hearts and minds and the earth is the church. Christ does not allow anything nor does He revert to plan B and then clean up the messes the free will of men supposedly make. That is all carnal nonsense. The Lord is the Lord and everything that happens in heaven and in the earth which all comes about by the HIS WILL. His will is being done, no matter what happens. He stretches forth the heavens and the earth and again this is not speaking of physical things, it refers to spiritual things, the things unseen.

Isa 44:24 Thus saith the LORD, thy redeemer, and he that formed thee from the womb, I am the LORD that maketh all things; that stretcheth forth the heavens alone; that spreadeth abroad the earth by myself

Zec 12:1 The burden of the word of the LORD for Israel, saith the LORD, which stretcheth forth the heavens, and layeth the foundation of the earth, and formeth the spirit of man within him.

The Lord is the master potter and we are indeed the clay as are all things Christ created which is all things. We are doing exactly what the Lord has written for our lives, every one of us. It was all written before there were any days existing. The end was indeed declared from the beginning.

Psa 139:16 Thine eyes did see my substance, yet being unperfect; and in thy book all my members were written, which in continuance were fashioned, when as yet there was none of them.

It takes the gift of faith to believe that. It takes the gift of faith to believe Jesus really truly is the Lord. He is and I hope you will believe. The Lord even must give us the ears to hear and eyes to discern HIS truths and believe this word. SALVATION IS OF THE LORD. If you hear or read of anyone giving to man the responsibility to take action to save themselves; you are listening or reading a false prophet and a wolf in sheep’s clothing. There is none better at sending wolves in sheep’s clothing then the Lord. He is the master of disguise. They don’t call it strong delusion for nothing.

2Th 2:11 And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:

Which Christ do you follow? Is your Christ dependent upon pieces of clay He made and molds and directs every step to do anything? or is your Christ so powerful and sitting as LORD ruling in the heavens and on the earth, in absolute charge of all things that happen. I hope the latter and you will begin to believe the Scriptures, which state this hundreds of times.

Rom 11:36 For of him, and through him, and to him, are all things: to whom be glory for ever. Amen.

If one will try the spirits that speak or claim man has any role in salvation, using the SUM OF THY WORD and bringing forth treasures out of the old and the new testament, it is clear for those with eyes to see and ears to here, that man has absolutely no role in his salvation. SALVATION IS INDEED OF THE LORD. And lest we forget what salvation means. It means to be delivered from the power of sin, it does not mean avoiding eternal hell. Look at this promise of the New Covenant. There is NO YOU DO ANYTHING, it is all I WILL SAYS THE LORD. He causes us to obey HIM, HE delivers us from sin. That is salvation!!!!!!!

Eze 36:23 And I will sanctify my great name, which was profaned among the heathen, which ye have profaned in the midst of them; and the heathen shall know that I am the LORD, saith the Lord GOD, when I shall be sanctified in you before their eyes.

Eze 36:24 For I will take you from among the heathen, and gather you out of all countries, and will bring you into your own land.

Eze 36:25 Then will I sprinkle clean water upon you, and ye shall be clean: from all your filthiness, and from all your idols, will I cleanse you.

Eze 36:26 A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh.

Eze 36:27 And I will put my spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes, and ye shall keep my judgments, and do them.

Eze 36:28 And ye shall dwell in the land that I gave to your fathers; and ye shall be my people, and I will be your God.

Eze 36:29 I will also save you from all your uncleannesses: and I will call for the corn, and will increase it, and lay no famine upon you.

Eze 36:30 And I will multiply the fruit of the tree, and the increase of the field, that ye shall receive no more reproach of famine among the heathen.

AGAIN WE SEE THAT GOD IS DOING IT ALL.  100% of it.  YOU HAVE NO ROLE IN IT.
