Gideon’s Signs of the Fleece and Dew

For Our Admonition Part 16

“Gathering at Jezreel and the Signs of the Fleece”

Key Verses:  Jdg 6:25 – 6:40

The story of Gideon among other lessons is teaching us that God’s people do not become warriors for the Lord in a ten-second sinners prayer.  A mighty man of valor “in the making”, Gideon, remains needy for signs and confirmation from the Lord.  Such is the state of immaturity where our faith is weak and needs to be propped up.  We ended our last study with Gideon being sent on his first conquest to cut down Baal’s altar and grove with instructions to then build an altar to the Lord in its place.

Jdg 6:25  And it came to pass the same night, that the LORD said unto him, Take thy father’s young bullock, even the second bullock of seven years old, and throw down the altar of Baal that thy father hath, and cut down the grove that is by it:

Jdg 6:26  And build an altar unto the LORD thy God upon the top of this rock, in the ordered place, and take the second bullock, and offer a burnt sacrifice with the wood of the grove which thou shalt cut down.

Jdg 6:27  Then Gideon took ten men of his servants, and did as the LORD had said unto him: and so it was, because he feared his father’s household, and the men of the city, that he could not do it by day, that he did it by night.

Coming into the faith requires us to lay down our life and follow the Lord.  This is the symbolism of offering the young bullock of seven years as we now begin to confront the lies and false doctrines that lead us to worship the dragon and Baal (Rev 13:4).   Our following of the carnal thoughts and doctrines (who are the innumerable Midianites) is being replaced as we battle and begin to judge the land in obedience.  The cutting down of the woody grove is what hewers and fellers of trees, the meaning of Gideon is doing when we obey the Lord’s commandments.   When the new man (aka the “ax man”) goes into action, judgment is arriving at the house of God, which house we are as His elect (1Co 3:16).

Mat 3:10  And now also the axe is laid unto the root of the trees: therefore every tree which bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.

Jer 5:14  Wherefore thus saith the LORD God of hosts, Because ye speak this word, behold, I will make my words in thy mouth fire, and this people wood (the Midianites within and without ourselves), and it shall devour them.

Young in the faith, Gideon takes along ten men which is “his own flesh” in Spirit in performing the Lord’s commands.  The symbolism of the number ten represents the perfection of flesh which is never good enough to enter the Kingdom of God (1Co 15:50) and which shows that the true law of faith has not yet been given.  Gideon fears his father household meaning he fears men and is a respecter of people contrary to faith in God.

Pro 29:25  The fear of man bringeth a snare: but whoso putteth his trust in the LORD shall be safe.

Deu 1:17  Ye shall not respect persons in judgment; but ye shall hear the small as well as the great; ye shall not be afraid of the face of man; for the judgment is God’s and the cause that is too hard for you, bring it unto me, and I will hear it

When we fear men, we do our godly deeds in the dark for fear of reprisal.  But the day comes when Gideon and we are able to step up in faith and fear only the Lord.  With faith comes increased comfort in the reproaches, persecution, and hatred from those outside the covenant of faith of Jesus Christ.  Gideon’s first act in judging the land immediately manifests the enmity and hatred (in type) against the Lord and His Chosen Christ.

Jdg 6:28  And when the men of the city arose early in the morning, behold, the altar of Baal was cast down, and the grove was cut down that was by it, and the second bullock was offered upon the altar that was built.

Jdg 6:29  And they said one to another, Who hath done this thing? And when they enquired and asked, they said, Gideon the son of Joash hath done this thing.

Jdg 6:30  Then the men of the city said unto Joash, Bring out thy son, that he may die: because he hath cast down the altar of Baal, and because he hath cut down the grove that was by it.

Jdg 6:31  And Joash said unto all that stood against him, Will ye plead for Baal? will ye save him? he that will plead for him, let him be put to death whilst it is yet morning: if he be a god, let him plead for himself, because one hath cast down his altar.

Jdg 6:32  Therefore on that day he called him Jerubbaal, saying, Let Baal plead against him, because he hath thrown down his altar.

Jdg 6:33  Then all the Midianites and the Amalekites and the children of the east were gathered together, and went over, and pitched in the valley of Jezreel.

Before we can successfully take on the Midianites, we need alignment and to be of one mind with Christ.  The lies and worship of Baal are first to go.   Our inward enemies, the Midianites and Amalekites and the children of the east (i.e. all our fleshly and carnal thoughts); are aroused when the new man stands up and begins tearing down the altars of Baal.  The nations of this world within us get angry at God’s ax men that are beginning to deliver Israel.

Rev 11:18 And the nations were angry, and thy wrath is come, and the time of the dead, that they should be judged …

These enemies then gather in a place called Jezreel for the coming war against the Lord and His Christ.  It is in this fruitful valley that God will begin to sow the seeds of righteousness and the carnal nations within us are being put to death.

H3157, yizre‛ê’l, yiz-reh-ale’

From H2232 and H410; God will sow; Jizreel, the name of two places in Palestine and of two Israelites: – Jezreel.

Jezreel is where God sows new life through the death of the old man.  Jezreel is infamous for bloodshed and death in the Bible.  Those stories and events foretell of the blessing to the new man as the old man is killed off via judgment.  The rejected first King Saul (1Sa 31:8), the evil Jezebel (2Ki 9:36) and all the descendant’s  of the evil King Ahab’s (2Ki 10:7), among others all died in the area of Jezreel.  We come together as ONE with the mind of Christ in the day of Jezreel.  This is that day, the day (process) of judgment as the old man decreases (dies) and the new man increases.

Hos 1:11  Then shall the children of Judah and the children of Israel be gathered together, and appoint themselves one head, and they shall come up out of the land: for great shall be the day of Jezreel.

The valley of Jezreel is also known as the valley of Megiddon or Megiddo.  The Greek word for Armageddon comes from Megiddo H4023. What this means is that spiritually speaking, the decisive end battle against our flesh takes place in the same valley where Gideon is smiting the Midianites and freeing Israel for a season.

Rev 16:16  And he gathered them (the Midianites)  together into a place called in the Hebrew tongue Armageddon.

Rev 16:17  And the seventh angel poured out his vial into the air; and there came a great voice out of the temple of heaven, from the throne, saying, It is done.

The Spirit of the Lord is already moving on Gideon and Israel is called together for war.  The men of God from Abiezer (meaning the fiery sons of God) who are the Israel and armies of God are gathered with Gideon.

Jdg 6:34  But the Spirit of the LORD came upon Gideon, and he blew a trumpet; and Abiezer was gathered after him.

Jdg 6:35  And he sent messengers throughout all Manasseh; who also was gathered after him: and he sent messengers unto Asher, and unto Zebulun, and unto Naphtali; and they came up to meet them.

The Spirit of the Lord moves Gideon to blow the trumpet and gather Israel in preparing for war.  Blowing trumpets is speaking warning of pending war and judgment of God.  The sound of the trumpets are words of fire to the heathen within and without ourselves that put God’s enemies to flight (Rev 4:1).

Num 10:8  And the sons of Aaron, the priests, shall blow with the trumpets; and they shall be to you for an ordinance forever throughout your generations.

Num 10:9  And if ye go to war in your land against the enemy (Midianites) that oppresseth you, then ye shall blow an alarm with the trumpets; and ye shall be remembered before the LORD your God, and ye shall be saved from your enemies.

Joe 2:1  Blow ye the trumpet in Zion, and sound an alarm in my holy mountain: let all the inhabitants (Midianites) of the land tremble: for the day of the LORD cometh, for it is nigh at hand;

We will see later in the actual battle with the Midianites the importance that every man and warrior in battle carry and blow their trumpets (Jdg 7:16-18).

Despite all of this, Gideon reveals his weak in the faith and fearing of men status by asking the Lord for signs and confirmation of what has already been declared. Gideon is becoming that “mighty man of valor” declared when he was chosen and met the Angel but he is only begining to get there (Rom 4:17). Gideon makes the so-called “Bible hall of faith” that Paul wrote in Hebrews 11!  It is through great faith that the kingdoms of this earth, within and without will be subdued.

Heb 11:32  And what more shall I say? For the time would fail me to tell of Gideon and Barak and Samson and Jephthah, also of David and Samuel and the prophets:

Heb 11:33  who through faith subdued kingdoms, worked righteousness, obtained promises, stopped the mouths of lions,

Heb 11:34  quenched the violence of fire, escaped the edge of the sword, out of weakness were made strong, became valiant in battle, turned to flight the armies of the aliens.

Gideon, like all carnal men that walked before him and after him (doubting Thomas’s), will be seeking after signs in our unbelief.  Yet the Lord knows this and as the Potter set it up this way.

Joh 4:48  Then said Jesus unto him, Except ye see signs and wonders, ye will not believe.

Gideon waited for the gathering of his own people to ask the Lord for the signs of the fleece.  The Lord gives the immature signs to counter unbelief of being chosen of God to do the seemingly impossible.  The Lord helped Moses out with the same challenge in unbelief taking place while dwelling with many Midianites.

Exo 4:4  And the LORD said unto Moses, Put forth thine hand, and take it by the tail. And he put forth his hand, and caught it, and it became a rod in his hand:

Exo 4:5  That they may believe that the LORD God of their fathers, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, hath appeared unto thee.

The Lord even gave Moses a second sign of the hand with leprosy being healed.  But as was later seen in Exodus, these signs convert nobody in a lasting way.  It takes the death of the firstborn (the first Adam) to convert the carnal mind and eliminate our doubts.  The real sign and our conversion process comes about little by little, by the process of maturity that is symbolized in the number three.

Mat 12:40  For as Jonas was three days and three nights in the whale’s belly; so shall the Son of man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth

Seeking and inquiring about God’s will is a good thing and we should be going to the source that is the Word which is the lamp unto our feet (Psa 119:105).  It is even commanded that we seek wisdom from the Lord which includes confirmation from the Lord and His multitude of counselors.

1Ch 14:10  And David enquired of God, saying, Shall I go up against the Philistines? and wilt thou deliver them into mine hand? And the LORD said unto him, Go up; for I will deliver them into thine hand.

Pro 11:14  Where no counsel is, the people fall: but in the multitude of counsellors there is safety.

We see the same admonishment from the Lord to ask and the promise that it shall be given (Jas 1:5).

Mat 7:8  For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.

With Israel’s forces now gathered together, Gideon asks the Lord to confirm his calling.

Jdg 6:36  And Gideon said unto God, If thou wilt save Israel by mine hand, as thou hast said,

Jdg 6:37  Behold, I will put a fleece of wool in the floor; and if the dew be on the fleece only, and it be dry upon all the earth beside, then shall I know that thou wilt save Israel by mine hand, as thou hast said.

Jdg 6:38  And it was so: for he rose up early on the morrow, and thrust the fleece together, and wringed the dew out of the fleece, a bowl full of water.

Jdg 6:39  And Gideon said unto God, Let not thine anger be hot against me, and I will speak but this once: let me prove, I pray thee, but this once with the fleece; let it now be dry only upon the fleece, and upon all the ground let there be dew.

Jdg 6:40  And God did so that night: for it was dry upon the fleece only, and there was dew on all the ground.

Asking God for signs to prove something He has already told us, is missing the mark of the higher calling and as such it is sin.  But even our sins (Isa 63:17) and our immaturity (Ecc 3:1) is all the Lord’s work in us (Isa 64:8).  We are given these experiences of Gideon and all the Patriarchs to teach us how we should walk and to learn about the process (1Co 10:11) of our salvation.

Rom 15:4  For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope.

2Co 5:7  For we walk by faith, not by sight (By fleeces)

Gideon, like all of God’s people, is full of hypocrisy and inequity when first called of God.  But here is the best news that reminds us that salvation and our victory is not up to us but it is up to the Lord.

Rom 5:8  But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

Let’s now look at the symbols of the signs of the fleece and then we can know what Gideon was really asking for because all of these words are signified.  The truth is hidden in symbols and parables.  The Scriptures mean what they mean not what they literally say.

Hos 12:10  I have also spoken by the prophets, and I have multiplied visions, and used similitudes, by the ministry of the prophets.

Mar 4:11  And he said unto them, Unto you it is given to know the mystery of the kingdom of God: but unto them that are without, all these things are done in parables:

Fleece:  Fleece is the cutting (shearing) of wool from a sheep (or a goat) that represent our own works.  We are the sheep of His pasture and our own works are what keeps us warm and covering our sin (nakedness) until it is all exposed in our baptism with fire (Rev 3:18).  In the positive (Heb 4:11), fleece is our covering, when we are young and immature which protects us from the elements of the earth.  In the negative, this wool represents the self-righteousness of the law and carnal thinking that we are saving ourselves.  This covering will make us (the priests of God) to sweat versus resting in Christ and wearing His clothes.

Eze 44:17  And it shall come to pass, that when they enter in at the gates of the inner court, they shall be clothed with linen garments; and no wool shall come upon them, whiles they minister in the gates of the inner court, and within.

Eze 44:18  They shall have linen bonnets upon their heads, and shall have linen breeches upon their loins; they shall not gird themselves with anything that causeth sweat.

As we progress from being young to mature, we cease being double minded and conflicted and mixing and matching our spiritual clothing.

Deu 22:11  Thou shalt not wear a garment of divers sorts, as of woollen and linen together.

Gideon asking God to make the fleece wet with dew is asking for confirmation that the works of our hands in doing His service will be blessed.  A good request albeit an immature mindset.  Applying the spiriutal significance of dew makes this clearer.

The Dew:  In the positive dew signifies the blessings of God that water the earth and bring Israel abundance and fertility (Gen 27:28; Deu 33:13,  Zec 8:12).  Dew is the Word that waters the earth in our youth (immaturity) when our heavens are still shaded in darkness before we are given the former and latter rains.

Gen 2:5  And every plant of the field before it was in the earth, and every herb of the field before it grew: for the LORD God had not caused it to rain upon the earth, and there was not a man to till the ground.

Gen 2:6  But there went up a mist (dew) from the earth, and watered the whole face of the ground.

Dew in the negative reflects immaturity as dew cannot remain in the heat of the day, meaning the heavy trials that come with our baptism by fire.

Hos 13:3  Therefore they shall be as the morning cloud, and as the early dew that passeth away, as the chaff that is driven with the whirlwind out of the floor, and as the smoke out of the chimney

Dew in the physical world is water gathering from condensation mostly at night.   Condensation occurs when the surface radiates its heat and the water droplets accumulate faster than they are evaporated in the cooler air.  Applying the lesson of Romans 1:20, spiritual dew is a blessing, as water is needed to bring life.  The accumulation of water signifies us growing and standing in faith, in our trials and is the favor of God given a very precious few.

Deu 32:2  My doctrine shall drop as the rain, my speech shall distil as the dew, as the small rain upon the tender herb, and as the showers upon the grass:

Pro 19:12  The king’s wrath is as the roaring of a lion; but his favour is as dew upon the grass.

The absence of Dew or Dry:  The absence of God’s dew or rain on a surface reflects a cursed condition.  A land without dew or rain is a dry land which is a place of famine and where nothing will grow or increase in the Lord (Amo 8:11, Hag 1:10, Deu 28:24).  Confronting the enemies of God begins by the withholding of the moisture (dew and rain) that is needed to sustain life.

1Ki 17:1  And Elijah the Tishbite, who was of the inhabitants of Gilead, said unto Ahab, As the LORD God of Israel liveth, before whom I stand, there shall not be dew nor rain these years, but according to my word.

When it’s hot and when the sun is on the land no dew will be found.  The symbolism of a dry earth is a land (the old man, the rejected King Saul) that is under judgment where the heat and fiery sun of God’s Word is beating down.  The curse of the old man is the blessing for the new man and the other side of the two-edged sword.

Rev 16:9  And men were scorched with great heat, and blasphemed the name of God, which hath power over these plagues: and they repented not to give him glory.

2Sa 1:21  “O mountains of Gilboa, Let there be no dew nor rain upon you, Nor fields of offerings. For the shield of the mighty is cast away there! The shield of Saul, not anointed with oil.

The Ground/Earth:  The land or earth referenced here is the threshing floor (Jdg 6:11) which is where we create spiritual food out of the crops the Lord is giving us.  That food nourishing the new man, is the dying body of the old man (Num 14:9) as we begin to judge the land.  Christ increases, and the old man is decreased and consumed.

Joh 6:54  Whoever eats My flesh and drinks My blood has eternal life, and I will raise him up at the last day.

A land without dew is a land under judgment bearing God’s wrath which is exactly what is needed to cleanse of the innumerable Midianites.  Lest there be any confusion, it is a good thing for judgment to be on the land within us, that is the process that is saving us (Exo 6:6, Isa 26:9, Rev 15:8, etc).

Isa 1:27  Zion shall be redeemed with judgment, and her converts with righteousness.

Asking for our works (the fleece) to be blessed is asking our earth (Jer 22:9) to be cursed and the dew withheld.  That is the way of salvation and how the Midianites are being cleared from the promised land.  The second sign flips this as in the end God’s moisture that is His Word must cover the earth for green things to grow and ultimately the more mature fruits of the Spirit (Gal 5:22).

We are all Gideon that first need assurance that the Lord has truly chosen us to work in His Kingdom. Such is the objective of the first sign of the fleece. Will God bless our works in His service and bring what is needed to deliver us (Israel) of the Midianites?   The Lord answers these petitions in bringing us blessings to confirm His Word in us as we begin to get small victories (Zec 4:10) on the road to overcoming the Midianites.

Luk 10:17  And the seventy returned again with joy, saying, Lord, even the devils (lying spirits) are subject unto us through thy name.

Secondly, those chosen of the Lord need assurance the fruit of our work for Him is being blessed.  Asking the ground to be wet with dew and the fleece (our own works) to be dry is the better and more mature request.  It is the inward works and fruit that is most important and where the Lord looks for righteousness.   Asking for the reverse sign of the dew (blessing), is Gideon asking for a blessing for the promised land that is Israel.  This is a good prayer as our obedience, ruling over sin, brings forth the blessings to the land.

Deu 28:8  The LORD shall command the blessing upon thee in thy storehouses, and in all that thou settest thine hand unto; and he shall bless thee in the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee.

The Lord is always working good through evil (Gen 50:20).  Seeking assurances that the Lord is blessing the land with the dew, shows us the purpose of spiritual warfare (judgment) that “is, was and will be” necessary to sanctify the land within and without in the appointed times. Gideon does not know any of this yet, but his story is written to minister to us (1Pe 1:9-12).

Mat 10:34  Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword.

Mat 24:6  And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.

Amazingly enough, Gideon is still not done needing signs from the Lord to bolster his faith.   When it comes time to actually fight by faith, Gideon becomes fearful again and a man is sent by the Lord to reveal a dream (a sign) that turned his fear (Jdg 7:9-15).  We are blessed for believing without seeing because our trust in the Lord with all of ourselves is rewarded.  It is commanded that we NOT prove or try the Lord. However,  there is one exception where the Lord wants us to try Him and to prove Him.  He wants to pour more blessings out upon us as He rewards those who seek Him in faith.

Mal 3:10  Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the LORD of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it.

Luk 6:38  Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again.

Now being given the two signs of the fleece, Gideon, is strengthened and blows the trumpet and prepares Israel for battle (Judges 7).  Next, the Lord will have more lessons for us in the life of Gideon including the parable of reducing the assembled 32,000 strong army down to just 300 men.   That story and parable has great spiritual significance and has been the subject of many detailed studies and FAQ on the various Body of Christ websites.  We will bring that to our remembrance and look further into Gideon which is teaching us about our experience in living by every word.

Lying Signs and Wonders

Mat 24:24 For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.

The end of the age (AION) comes at midnight the darkest part of the night.  It comes at the very peak of our spiritual deception when we are madly inflamed on wine and staggering in spiritual drunkenness.

Mat 25:6 And at midnight there was a cry made, Behold, the bridegroom cometh; go ye out to meet him.

Our falling away into God’s strong delusion must precede the coming of the Lord to us the second time for salvation without sin. We will be spiritually dead worshiping the beast within before the Lord will drag us to Him and suddenly appear and bring salvation to us.

Heb 9:27 And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:
Heb 9:28 So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation.

We will never understand any of this until after we have lived it.  We will look behind where we have come with new God given ears to hear and then we shall also see the plan and purposes of the Lord.  None of us will see spiritually until our day of judgment. All of us will be shut up in spiritual darkness until then. Judgment first comes to the house of God as Peter wrote and it is this process that will awaken us to the true righteousness of Christ.

1Pe 4:17  For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God

In the meantime those called of God will be deceived by lying signs and wonders and the many false prophets The Lord sends into our lives.  Christ said His purpose in coming was for judgment and that would be brought by making those that claim to see blind.

Joh 9:39 And Jesus said, For judgment I am come into this world, that they which see not might see; and that they which see might be made blind.

God’s Elect, the chosen few will be the first redeemed from the earth and will live by every word God has spoken. This means they will first be deceived by the false ministers of Babylon and the lying signs and wonders that God causes that make the deception and spiritual blindness so pervasive. We as His Elect will first claim we see but will be totally spiritually blind just like all of Orthodox Christianity.  However, in our appointed time, those few chosen of God will come out of the harlot.  It will take some time for all the plagues of God to destroy our carnal mind and all the deceptions we had trusted and had learned.

This woman is the apostate church that represents orthodox Christianity that will be very appealing on the outside arrayed with all the fine things of God yet her hands hold a cup full of all her impure and defiled doctrines of devils that mix the things of God with the things of this world.

Rev 17:4 And the woman was arrayed in purple and scarlet colour, and decked with gold and precious stones and pearls, having a golden cup in her hand full of abominations and filthiness of her fornication:

Rev 17:5 And upon her forehead was a name written, MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH.

The harlot and the signs and wonders we see while part of this harlot are very convincing. This post will focus on these lying signs and wonders that are used of God to deceive us and keep us in the bondage of Babylon for our appointed 70 years. Some may have an ear to hear and will be edified by knowing these things are true.

The Falling Away (ours) Must Come First

Evening always precedes the morning.  Darkness comes before the light.  God is calling light out of the darkness He purposefully creates.

Gen 1:1 In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.
Gen 1:2 And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.
Gen 1:3 And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.

The way salvation comes and the eternal (“aionious” in the Greek) life that comes with it, that is knowing Christ and the Father is that we individually must fall away first into great spiritual deception. There is no avoiding it. All who come in the presence of Christ first fall backwards.

Isa 28:13 But the word of the LORD was unto them precept upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little; that they might go, and fall backward, and be broken, and snared, and taken.

Paul who himself had an astonishing experience of first walking in strong delusion, mentioned this often to the early believers. The falling away must come first!

2Th 2:1 Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by our gathering together unto him,

2Th 2:2 That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand.

2Th 2:3 Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;

2Th 2:4 Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.

2Th 2:5 Remember ye not, that, when I was yet with you, I told you these things?

Living by every word includes falling away. The beast that we all are has to first be exalted onto God’s throne in our hearts and worshiped by us and then this same beast, the man of sin will need to be revealed to us in our day of judgment. These words of Paul and all the words of Christ are living words that is, was and will be. These were not speaking to some future event regarding orthodox Christianity 2,000 years in the future. That is what the carnal man believes yet the truth is the corporate church had already fallen away before the Bible was even finished being written.

1Jn 2:18 Little children, it is the last time: and as ye have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last time.

Act 20:29 For I know this, that after my departing shall grievous wolves enter in among you, not sparing the flock.

Act 20:30 Also of your own selves shall men arise, speaking perverse things, to draw away disciples after them.

Act 20:31 Therefore watch, and remember, that by the space of three years I ceased not to warn every one night and day with tears.

Each supposed reformation (i.e Martin Luther) just formed a new layer of deception and built more lies upon the false foundation of another jesus. Major heresy and damnable lies such as eternal torment, the fall of man, the trinity, man having free will were just covered up with more lies and the truth was totally blotted out of the orthodox churches. People like to quote “early” church leaders from the first few centuries, yet these were of the apostate church that had already blossomed from the days of the Apostles.

In fact late in Paul’s ministry, he told Timothy that ALL those in Asia, in all the churches he had started had forsaken him and had fallen into apostasy.  The great falling away was not some event set 2,000 years out that had no effect to the generations that have preceded us here in 2013.

2Ti 1:15 This thou knowest, that all they which are in Asia be turned away from me; of whom are Phygellus and Hermogenes.

Talk about a lonely road!  Even Demas and our beloved Titus who Paul wrote a letter to in our Bibles fell away and went back into this present world.  The deadly wound to his beastly head was healed and he fall away from the truth going back to the elementary principles of this world.  Which is what we all will do until we are dragged out by God.

2Ti 4:10 For Demas hath forsaken me, having loved this present world, and is departed unto Thessalonica; Crescens to Galatia, Titus unto Dalmatia.

The lying signs and wonders will deceive every man and it is only God’s Elect who will be rescued from the deception by the mercy of the Lord.  But this is God’s plan, His will has been done in this regard, and we are going to look at some of the ways God uses to keep the multitudes bound in total spiritual darkness with a veil over their eyes.

God’s Elect will only come to know the truth by looking behind themselves and seeing after the fact what God had done all along. We all live the examples given us of ancient Israel. They and you and me will rebel against God all the while thinking we are doing Him a service and are in good stead. Those stories were not written for them that lived then, nor are they a history lesson, they were written for our admonition upon whom the end of the age have come.

1Pe 1:12 Unto whom it was revealed, that not unto themselves, but unto us they did minister the things, which are now reported unto you by them that have preached the gospel unto you with the Holy Ghost sent down from heaven; which things the angels desire to look into.

Out of Egypt Into Babylon/Assyria

The plan for the people of God is to go into Babylon when they first come out of Egypt. Here they will spend their appointed years in captivity and bondage to the carnal doctrines of Orthodox Christianity.

Hos 11:1 When Israel (God’s Elect) was a child, then I loved him, and called my son out of Egypt.

Hos 11:2 As they called them, so they went from them: they sacrificed unto Baalim, and burned incense to graven images.

Hos 11:3 I taught Ephraim also to go, taking them by their arms; but they knew not that I healed them.

Hos 11:4 I drew them with cords of a man, with bands of love: and I was to them as they that take off the yoke on their jaws, and I laid meat unto them.

Hos 11:5 He shall not return into the land of Egypt, but the Assyrian shall be his king, because they refused to return.

This indeed is one of the spiritual lessons that the Old Testament is given to tell those with ears to hear what will have been their journey before Christ is revealed to them.

1Co 10:11 Now all these things happened unto them for ensamples: and they are written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the ages (world) are come.

We all are snared by that woman Jezebel, spending time in the all seven churches of the book of Revelation which is just bible speak for one church. Seven being the number of completion in the Scriptures. We will think we have arrived and need not anymore repentance.

Rev 2:20 Notwithstanding I have a few things against thee, because thou sufferest that woman Jezebel, which calleth herself a prophetess, to teach and to seduce my servants to commit fornication, and to eat things sacrificed unto idols.

Jezebel represents the spiritual whore Babylon and her doctrines, a.k.a. the ninety and nine who thought they do not need repentance. They truly believe that they are the true church of God with all their signs and wonders and all their good works they count for their own righteousness.

Pro 30:20 Such is the way of an adulterous woman; she eateth, and wipeth her mouth, and saith, I have done no wickedness.

But when in Babylon we are fornicating with the harlot, we are eating poisoned food and bitter waters all the while claiming to not be a widow and that Christ is our husband. We will not yet know nor believe that we are a wretched man and the chief of sinners.

Mar 2:17 When Jesus heard it, he saith unto them, They that are whole have no need of the physician, but they that are sick: I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.

Luk 15:7 I say unto you, that likewise joy shall be in heaven over one sinner that repenteth, more than over ninety and nine just persons, which need no repentance.

Only God’s Elect Shall Eat True Bread

To be in Christ we must eat of His body.  When Christ dwells in us we are in Christ and He is in us.

Joh 6:54 Whoso eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, hath eternal life; and I will raise him up at the last day.
Joh 6:55 For my flesh is meat indeed, and my blood is drink indeed.
Joh 6:56 He that eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, dwelleth in me, and I in him.

Yet only the few, not the many called are given this bread to eat.  It is not up to man or his delusion of free will to choose to eat this bread, it is indeed given to us.

Joh 6:65 And he said, Therefore said I unto you, that no man can come unto me, except it were GIVEN unto him of my Father.

God’s plan and purposes is to call a few out of the many to be His Elect and continue the ministry of Jesus Christ. As the body of Christ, only God’s Elect are given the right to eat at the altar. Jesus Christ is the true bread from heaven and this is only given to His chosen few to partake of in this life.

Heb 13:10 We have an altar, whereof they have no right to eat which serve the tabernacle.

None of this is based on any merit, it is all given to men based on God’s purposes and declarations regarding Election. His counsel shall stand not matter what the wise men of Babylon or the reasoning’s of religious men say.

1Co 2:6 Howbeit we speak wisdom among them that are perfect: yet not the wisdom of this world, nor of the princes of this world, that come to nought:

1Co 2:7 But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom, which God ordained before the world unto our glory:

Those in Babylon will hate us for these words and for the coat of many colors we are given by God. The story of Joseph tells of God’s dealings with His Elect.

Gen 37:3 Now Israel loved Joseph more than all his children, because he was the son of his old age: and he made him a coat of many colours.

Gen 37:4 And when his brethren saw that their father loved him more than all his brethren, they hated him, and could not speak peaceably unto him.

I have learned this lesson. Being persecuted and hated for simply speaking the truth of God’s word. This is the walk of God’s Elect who are blessed when they are persecuted for righteousness and His name.  Those that remain in spiritual darkness cannot bring themselves to speak peaceably to God’s Elect. God put enmity in their hearts and is working all things for the counsel of His will. All things a man has or does not have is all the Lord’s doing. There is nothing any man has received that was not given to us by God.

1Co 4:7 For who maketh thee to differ from another? and what hast thou that thou didst not receive? now if thou didst receive it, why dost thou glory, as if thou hadst not received it?

The Levites versus the Priests

Many are called and few are chosen. It is the very Elect, who are the only priests of God. Only they can handle the instruments of the temple of God, which is His word. The Levites who are in type and shadow, those in Babylon only serve the tabernacle of the congregation, but they cannot go past the veil (the flesh) nor handle the instruments in the temple, lest they die.

Num 4:15 And when Aaron and his sons have made an end of covering the sanctuary, and all the vessels of the sanctuary, as the camp is to set forward; after that, the sons of Kohath shall come to bear it: but they shall not touch any holy thing, lest they die. These things are the burden of the sons of Kohath [the Levites] in the tabernacle of the congregation.

Lev 10:13 And ye [Aaron and his sons] shall eat it in the holy place, because it is thy due, and thy sons’ due, of the sacrifices of the LORD made by fire: for so I am commanded.

The altar in the holy place is the golden altar of incense, and no mere Levite who is not the seed of Aaron the high priest was ever to eat at that altar. The high priest is a type of Christ as our high priest.

“They which serve the tabernacle” but “have no right to eat” with us, are those who are “carried about by different and strange doctrines” because they fear offending their brothers who think nothing of eating “meat offered to idols” and thereby causing weak brothers to think there is nothing wrong with eating meat offered to idols. Meat offered to idols is the doctrines of Babylon and the doctrines of those who serve the tabernacles, and are “carried about by different and strange doctrines which Paul calls “the cup of devils”.

1Co 10:21 Ye cannot drink the cup of the Lord, and the cup of devils: ye cannot be partakers of the Lord’s table, and of the table of devils.

Num 18:2 And thy brethren also of the tribe of Levi, the tribe of thy father, bring thou with thee, that they may be joined unto thee, and minister unto thee: but thou and thy sons with thee [shall minister] before the tabernacle of witness.
Num 18:3 And they shall keep thy charge, and the charge of all the tabernacle: only they shall not come nigh the vessels of the sanctuary and the altar, that neither they, nor ye also, die.
Num 18:4 And they shall be joined unto thee, and keep the charge of the tabernacle of the congregation, for all the service of the tabernacle: and a stranger shall not come nigh unto you.
Num 18:5 And ye shall keep the charge of the sanctuary, and the charge of the altar: that there be no wrath any more upon the children of Israel.

Those so blessed to be given the faith of Christ and the revelation of Jesus inwardly eat at the altar of God for which the multitudes have no right to eat. Those in Babylon have no right to eat of the true things of God. Such treasures must be given only to those God has chosen since before the foundations of the world. Those in Babylon will hate us for the favor God has shown.

Heb 13:10 We have an altar, whereof they have no right to eat which serve the tabernacle.

It is the stark contrast between the Levites who are the priests, the sons of Aaron, as opposed to the Levites, who are not priests, but who are commanded to “keep the charge of the tabernacle”, which demonstrates the spiritual meaning of “Many are called but few are chosen”.

Mat 22:14 For many are called, but few are chosen.

Only the priests, the sons of Aaron are able to enter into the tabernacle to do the service “within the vail” of the tabernacle.  Getting past the veil is getting past the flesh and the carnal mind and that only by the gift of God in our appointed times.  Until that day comes, we and the all the spiritual Levites will think the things of God to be foolishness.  They are blinded as that is God’s plan.

2Co 3:14 But their minds were blinded: for until this day remaineth the same vail untaken away in the reading of the old testament; which vail is done away in Christ.
2Co 3:15 But even unto this day, when Moses is read, the vail is upon their heart.
2Co 3:16 Nevertheless when it shall turn to the Lord, the vail shall be taken away.

The mission field of the disciples is the many called that are in Babylon. God’s Elect are not to bash Babylon as Babylon serves a very valuable purpose in God’s plan for the ages. Babylon is there doing exactly what God has it doing which is keeping the multitudes that come to Christ blinded from the truth. We are to speak against their doctrine however and stand up to the truth and they in fact are the mission field for God’s Elect. We are only sent to the lost house of Israel.

Mat 10:5 These twelve Jesus sent forth, and commanded them, saying, Go not into the way of the Gentiles, and into any city of the Samaritans enter ye not:

Mat 10:6 But go rather to the lost sheep of the house of Israel

Mat 10:7 And as ye go, preach, saying, The kingdom of heaven is at hand.

Mat 10:8 Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils: freely ye have received, freely give.

We are not sent to those God has blinded for now. We are not sent to the 99 who claim they need no repentance nor those that say they do not need a physician. Those in Babylon will think they already have repented and are serving God yet they are yet carnal and know not the true grace of the Lord at this time. God’s Elect will move on when it is clear that God has not prepared someone’s heart to receive the truth.

Mat 10:14 And whosoever shall not receive you, nor hear your words, when ye depart out of that house or city, shake off the dust of your feet.

God Keeps the Multitudes Blinded

Despite what we learn in Babylon, the plan of God is give light to very few and blind the rest of the world. Of course those that are blind will claim they see yet those words will be revealed for the lie they are at the appearing of the Lord in judgment.

Rom 11:7 What then? Israel hath not obtained that which he seeketh for; but the election hath obtained it, and the rest were blinded

All of us will be spiritual blind and YET CARNAL all the days we are in Babylon and participating in its activities and following its various doctrines all of which contradict the word of God. The whole world is deceived and only by the mercy of God are the few chosen dragged out of this deception and given the revelation of Jesus Christ.

Rev 12:9 And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.

The deception is complete, it is total. There is not a single doctrine we learn in Babylon that is true. All the gold and silver has been tarnished and cankered by Babylon. The word has been corrupted and turned into wormwood that we all shall certainly drink before we ever know the truth. And this is all part of God’s plan to blind the world and only give sight to a few.

Isa 3:1 For, behold, the Lord, the LORD of hosts, doth take away from Jerusalem and from Judah the stay and the staff, the whole stay of bread, and the whole stay of water

Joh 9:39 And Jesus said, For judgment I am come into this world, that they which see not might see; and that they which see might be made blind.

The Lord uses signs and wonders both within a person’s life and external in the world to lead the carnal minded into thinking they are in the truth, have the Holy Spirit and are not part of the whore harlot church that is Babylon. There is nobody better than God in sending strong delusion and making it stick. The Scriptures tell us how God does this and it is through lying signs and wonders. These signs are how our beast receives a deadly wound to one of its heads which is healed as we fall for the lies and carnal doctrines of Babylon. The beast that all men are will continue to rule in our hearts, our day of judgment has not yet come.

Rev 13:3 And I saw one of his heads as it were wounded to death; and his deadly wound was healed: and all the world wondered after the beast.

The signs and wonders are actual signs and wonders, they are real. People actually see miracles happening, great deliverances and healings, outward changes in their lives, but the heart has not been circumcised. They are lying signs and wonders in that they are designed to mask the greater truth from those involved. As Jesus said, His words are used to keep the multitudes in spiritual darkness every learning but never able to come to knowledge of the truth. Babylon does not appreciate these words of Scripture.

Mat 13:11 He answered and said unto them, Because it is given unto you to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it is not given.

Mat 13:12 For whosoever hath, to him shall be given, and he shall have more abundance: but whosoever hath not, from him shall be taken away even that he hath.

Mat 13:13 Therefore speak I to them in parables: because they seeing see not; and hearing they hear not, neither do they understand.

Mat 13:14 And in them is fulfilled the prophecy of Esaias, which saith, By hearing ye shall hear, and shall not understand; and seeing ye shall see, and shall not perceive:

Yet this mystery of how Christ can be both total darkness to one side and total light to the other is in the Scriptures for those that are given the understanding.

Exo 14:20 And it came between the camp of the Egyptians and the camp of Israel; and it was a cloud and darkness to them, but it gave light by night to these: so that the one came not near the other all the night.

Psa 139:12 Yea, the darkness hideth not from thee; but the night shineth as the day: the darkness and the light are both alike to thee.

Good Works and Preaching Will Deceive Us

The whole counsel of God makes clear that the performance of good works, doing good deeds and helping people in the flesh will not get us into the kingdom of God and are also used by God to keep us under strong delusion while we are in Babylon. Many will say to Christ on their day of judgment these words and the Lord will answer.

Mat 7:21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.

Mat 7:22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?

Mat 7:23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

The Book of JOB is in type and shadow the story of God’s elect. JOB like all of us when we are in Babylon will put great trust in our good works and use them as justification of our own righteousness. Yet our righteousness as JOB found out is really truly just filthy rags. It is not our UNRIGHTEOUSNESS that is filthy rags to God, it is the good stuff we do, it is our own righteousness.

Isa 64:6 But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away.

Secretly it is all about ME, MYSELF and I or my church and my ministry during our days of being deceived by our good works which become lying signs and wonders. Just look at the boasting JOB held in his heart over all the good works he did before he knew the real God. The insidious sin of self righteousness is one we all will commit and it will be at the peak of our Babylonian service that we like JOB will be thinking such self righteous thoughts and boasting of our goodness and service to God.

Job 29:7 When I went out to the gate through the city, when I prepared my seat in the street!

Job 29:8 The young men saw me, and hid themselves: and the aged arose, and stood up.

Job 29:9 The princes refrained talking, and laid their hand on their mouth.

Job 29:10 The nobles held their peace, and their tongue cleaved to the roof of their mouth.

Job 29:11 When the ear heard me, then it blessed me; and when the eye saw me, it gave witness to me:

Job 29:12 Because I delivered the poor that cried, and the fatherless, and him that had none to help him.

Job 29:13 The blessing of him that was ready to perish came upon me: and I caused the widow’s heart to sing for joy.

Job 29:14 I put on righteousness, and it clothed me: my judgment was as a robe and a diadem.

Job 29:15 I was eyes to the blind, and feet was I to the lame.

Job 29:16 I was a father to the poor: and the cause which I knew not I searched out.

Job 29:17 And I brake the jaws of the wicked, and plucked the spoil out of his teeth.

Job 29:18 Then I said, I shall die in my nest, and I shall multiply my days as the sand.

Job 29:19 My root was spread out by the waters, and the dew lay all night upon my branch.

Job 29:20 My glory was fresh in me, and my bow was renewed in my hand.

Job 29:21 Unto me men gave ear, and waited, and kept silence at my counsel.

Job 29:22 After my words they spake not again; and my speech dropped upon them.

Our zealousness and participation in many good works are used to blind the multitudes that are in Babylon. They (which is all of us at one time) will think they lack nothing and are rich and increased in goods and need not any repentance. The good works are the proof text they are part of the Body of Christ, or so they think. God uses all of this to keep the multitudes, the many called blinded in Babylon.

2Th 2:8 And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming:

2Th 2:9 Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders,

2Th 2:10 And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.

2Th 2:11 And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:

Fire from heaven is the word of God being spoken in heaven, and that heaven in inside of us. Those in Babylon do have the word of God, which is the fire but it is perverted. Still Babylon is full of many ministers some with great oratory skills and excellent communicators. They will speak on the word of God eloquently but with error and will lead the people astray prophesying smooth deceits to them.

Rev 13:11 And I beheld another beast coming up out of the earth; and he had two horns like a lamb, and he spake as a dragon.

Rev 13:12 And he exerciseth all the power of the first beast before him, and causeth the earth and them which dwell therein to worship the first beast, whose deadly wound was healed.

Rev 13:13 And he doeth great wonders, so that he maketh fire come down from heaven on the earth in the sight of men,

Rev 13:14 And deceiveth them that dwell on the earth by the means of those miracles which he had power to do in the sight of the beast; saying to them that dwell on the earth, that they should make an image to the beast, which had the wound by a sword, and did live.

God used many a false preacher, gifted men with talents and great seeming miracles to prove it to preach the word to me and turn me over to the idols of my heart.  Great men of God preached many a fiery sermon that called fire down from my heavens but only served to take me deeper into the bottomless pit within.  We will be so convinced of this we will vigorously defend our false teachers and prophets just as I did in promoting and defending the false gospel and idols of Milton Green, Derick Prince and David Wilkerson to name a few that had be bound in Babylon long after I had left the building.

What is particularly a compelling lying sign and wonder is the outward changes we make in our lives and the very real deliverance from sins and various addictions. I have heard very compelling testimonies from people who have been delivered of drugs, overcame alcoholism, defeated pornography, turned from thief to good Samaritan.

Rev 16:13 And I saw three unclean spirits like frogs come out of the mouth of the dragon, and out of the mouth of the beast, and out of the mouth of the false prophet.

Rev 16:14 For they are the spirits of devils, working miracles, which go forth unto the kings of the earth and of the whole world, to gather them to the battle of that great day of God Almighty.

I don’t doubt any of such miracles as that is what they are, a miracle from God, yet the Lord uses such things to keep the multitudes of Babylon blinded held in chains of darkness awaiting their day of judgment.

Jud 1:6 And the angels which kept not their first estate, but left their own habitation, he hath reserved in everlasting chains under darkness unto the judgment of the great day.

God does indeed heal also. He sends all sickness and disease and He heals in many cases. Such healings are also used to help bind the multitudes in darkness. God is good and is working all things, including blinding the whole world for good per the counsel of His will. We are that beast which becomes that false prophet that is actually working against God all the while we think we are serving Him when we are in Babylon.

Rev 19:19 And I saw the beast, and the kings of the earth, and their armies, gathered together to make war against him that sat on the horse, and against his army.

Rev 19:20 And the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet that wrought miracles before him, with which he deceived them that had received the mark of the beast, and them that worshipped his image. These both were cast alive into a lake of fire burning with brimstone.

We must remember that it is appointed that man will live by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God. So all of us, you and me will walk under strong delusion long before we come to know the true Lord. This coming out of Babylon, being dragged to Jesus Christ is a process and there are many stops along the way. This is what makes it that much harder for carnal babes to receive our true testimony when we do come out because it will have been obvious to all the folly of our earlier beliefs, all when we were certain we were in the truth but were actually in total spiritual darkness.

Here is the truth and words we will live by. We can’t know Christ until we first drink of strong drink and get drunk with wine. We can’t know Christ until we first fall backwards and be ensnared into the false doctrines of Babylon. This is true whether we go to a building or belong to a denominational church or not. The mother of all harlots lives within us.

Deu 29:6 Ye have not eaten bread, neither have ye drunk wine or strong drink: that ye might know that I am the LORD your God.

Isa 28:13 But the word of the LORD was unto them precept upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little; that they might go, and fall backward, and be broken, and snared, and taken.

Being a good Samaritan is not about doing many good works in the flesh. Loving our neighbor is obeying God and He has commanded His Elect to go speak His word to a rebellious and stiff necked people who think they lack nothing and are not in need of repentance. The oil and wine we pour out in their wounds bring spiritual healing which are the greater works that Christ said we would do.

Luk 10:32 And likewise a Levite, when he was at the place, came and looked on him, and passed by on the other side.

Luk 10:33 But a certain Samaritan, as he journeyed, came where he was: and when he saw him, he had compassion on him,

Luk 10:34 And went to him, and bound up his wounds, pouring in oil and wine, and set him on his own beast, and brought him to an inn, and took care of him.

Joh 14:12 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.

Christ no longer calls His Elect servants. He calls them friends because He has made know to us the mysteries of the kingdom and what His plans and purposes our.

Joh 15:14 Ye are my friends, if ye do whatsoever I command you.

Joh 15:15 Henceforth I call you not servants; for the servant knoweth not what his lord doeth: but I have called you friends; for all things that I have heard of my Father I have made known unto you.

The Levites of today do not know what the Lord is doing. They are those who God has blinded and shut up in spiritual darkness. The light that is in them is actually darkness and how great is that darkness. It is not their fault or place as such understanding is only given to us if the Lord wills and has determined beforehand.

Deliverance Will “Finally” Come VIA Judgment

A day will come for each of us if we are God’s chosen when the rock that is Christ will fall upon us. I was given this mercy last year and it has completely destroyed the old me as the Potter has turned upside down and is reshaping the new man. It is not pleasant and it will not be popular with friends, family and foes. But if we are faithful, God will finish the good work He has begun in us. The true circumcision is made without hands and our works will have nothing to do with it.

When we begin to see that all that believed were lies. All of it. When we begin to realize that God had purposefully made us drunk with the wine of the harlot which mixed the things of God with the things of this world, then we will begin to awake to true righteousness. We will be shown what a wretched beast we truly are in this vessel of clay. It will be quite humbling and we will be ashamed of all the blasphemy we did against God, all the denying His doctrine and the persecution and false charges we had laid against His very Elect. But when that day comes, the walls and idols that have kept us safe and secure will come tumbling down as all of our doctrines are burned with the fire that is God’s word.

Jer 51:57 And I will make drunk her princes, and her wise men, her captains, and her rulers, and her mighty men: and they shall sleep a perpetual sleep, and not wake, saith the King, whose name is the LORD of hosts.
Jer 51:58 Thus saith the LORD of hosts; The broad walls of Babylon shall be utterly broken, and her high gates shall be burned with fire; and the people shall labour in vain, and the folk in the fire, and they shall be weary.

The people that make up the professing church will labor in vain but the Lord will build His church on His timeline.

Psa 127:1 Except the LORD build the house, they labour in vain that build it: except the LORD keep the city, the watchman waketh but in vain.

Our pride will hold us back from admitting our error. We will play along with the harlot long after we see the truth. We won’t want to endure the shame of the cross and the rebuke of our carnal friends. But like Jeremiah found out, the fire that the Lord has set inside of us will be too strong for our flesh. We will not be able to remain silent for long.

Jer 20:9 Then I said, I will not make mention of him, nor speak any more in his name. But his word was in mine heart as a burning fire shut up in my bones, and I was weary with forbearing, and I could not stay.

What a great calling and election this is. I pray all being stirred by the spirit of God will endure thru the trials of life and be found worthy to stand with Christ and rule and reign with Him in the age to come. That is the upward calling of God for which we strive to stay on the narrow path.  God is not at rest, our Father is working and the work He is doing will not be believed by us even if one declares it to us.  It awaits the day of our judgment when the lying signs and wonders will be exposed and the truth of God’s word will be made manifest to us.

Act 13:41 Behold, ye despisers, and wonder, and perish: for I work a work in your days, a work which ye shall in no wise believe, though a man declare it unto you.

The beast will be destroyed.  That is how salvation come and the first Adam is destroyed, making way for the second one, which is Christ in us, the hope of Glory.  Pray the rock falls and breaks you, that is the only way for Christ to come.

Mat 21:44 And whosoever shall fall on this stone shall be broken: but on whomsoever it shall fall, it will grind him to powder.

beast destroyed
