Almighty God Gets What He Desires

“Almighty God Gets What He Desires”

The catalyst for this post was an email I received from a known heretic attempting to persuade me once again to the error of my ways.  Using no Scripture and repeating the oft-repeated lies everyone learns in orthodoxy, I was told it is up to man to choose to repent and only then will the Lord save us.  This heretic, like the heretic we all are at first before we are dragged into truth, just cannot see what we are so blessed to see in our Bibles. Here is one such giant verse.

Psa 135:6  Whatever the LORD pleases He does, In heaven and in earth, In the seas and in all deep places.

The heretic did not get an answer having long ago received his two admonitions (Tit 3:10, 2Jo 1:10).  This unsolicited event brought to my remembrance how profound the basic truths we in the Body live by as we search for the deeper things that our Bibles reveal.  I share now with the brethren to stir their memory.

2Pe 3:1  This second epistle, beloved, I now write unto you; in both which I stir up your pure minds by way of remembrance:

Getting past the lie of free will is essential to come to see the marvelous truth of the promise of the salvation of all men.  Those that cling to the false doctrine of man having a free will, have a very small God.  Such a God would, therefore, be dependent upon his own creation and their actions to accomplish the Lord’s will in their life.  But is that what the Scriptures teach?  Most certainly not as this post will touch on the basics.

1Co 8:6  But to us there is but one God, the Father, of whom are all things, and we in him; and one Lord Jesus Christ, by whom are all things, and we by him.

When the myth of free will is destroyed, then the Lord’s purpose in using evil to bring about good becomes clear and many false dominos are instantly consumed in the fire that is the truth (Gen 50:20, Rom 8:28, Ecc 1:13 CLV). The will of God, the sanctification of all men (1Th 4:3) is being accomplished on schedule.

1Co 15:22  For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive.

1Co 15:23  But every man in his own order: Christ the firstfruits; afterward they that are Christ’s at his coming.

That glorious event that occurs in the lake of fire has already been declared from the very beginning.  The Lord is a powerful God, unlike the ones our carnal minds cannot help but invent.

Isa 46:9 Remember the former things of old: for I am God, and there is none else; I am God, and there is none like me,
Isa 46:10  Declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times the things that are not yet done, saying, My counsel shall stand, and I will do all my pleasure:

The Lord is in charge of all things and His pleasure is getting done all the time.  Almighty God, our Lord, and Savior does not need anyone’s help to accomplish His will in the earth and in the hearts of men.  He is working all things and is sovereign over all His works.  Lords and Kings rule over their kingdom and so does our Lord.

Psa 115:3  But our God is in the heavens: he hath done whatsoever he hath pleased.

Php 2:13  For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure.

1Ti 6:15  Which in his times he shall shew, who is the blessed and only Potentate (Ruler/Authority), the King of kings, and Lord of lords;

Yet carnal minds don’t and can’t believe this unless and until the Lord opens spiritual eyes and gives faith.

Rom 11:7  What then? Israel hath not obtained that which he seeketh for; but the election hath obtained it, and the rest were blinded

Rom 11:8  (According as it is written, God hath given them the spirit of slumber, eyes that they should not see, and ears that they should not hear;) unto this day.

Joh 12:39  Therefore they could not believe, because that Esaias said again,

Joh 12:40  He hath blinded their eyes, and hardened their heart; that they should not see with their eyes, nor understand with their heart, and be converted, and I should heal them.

Only a few are given the ears to hear and eyes to see the truth of God’s plan for mankind.  These truths and the plan of salvation of all are foolishness to the natural man not given the precious gifts of faith and spiritual understanding.

1Co 2:7  But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom, which God ordained before the world unto our glory:

1Co 2:14  But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.

A common push back those speaking the truth face is responding to those claiming it is up to man to repent and choose himself to believe the gospel.  While some Scriptures taken by themselves seem to say this (e.g. Jos 24:15), the real truth is found only in the SUM OF THE WORD (Psa 119:160) and applying Peter’s warning here about making doctrines off one verse.

2Pe 1:20 (CLV) knowing this first, that no prophecy of scripture at all is becoming its own explanation

Choosing today whom we shall serve does not change the truth that all of our choices, be they good or evil, are all choices the Lord of Lord’s is causing us to make.  That is the truth and what the Sum of the word declares.  We have matter of fact verses telling us we have nothing to do with choosing to follow the Lord.

Joh 15:16  Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you

Rom 10:20  But Esaias is very bold, and saith, I was found of them that sought me not; I was made manifest unto them that asked not after me

The Bible is chock full of verses that tell us to choose the right way and to obey the Lord. Yet we are also told, our choosing righteousness is not in ourselves.  It is 100% the Lord’s work in each of us and in the times He has ordained.

Jeremiah 10:23 O LORD, I know that the way of man is not in himself: it is not in man that walketh to direct his steps.

Rom 9:16 So then it is not of him that willeth, nor of him that runneth, but of God that sheweth mercy.

Men do not choose to have faith.  True faith is indeed a gift of the Lord (Eph 2:8) and that all of our works are really His works.

Eph 2:10  For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.

The multitudes that know another Jesus (2Co 11:4) cannot see that faith is never OUR faith, it is always about the faith OF Jesus Christ.  Big difference.

Rom 3:22  Even the righteousness of God which is by faith OF Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference:

Php 3:9  And be found in him, not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith OF Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith:

The faith we are given is a measure of faith.  Not all get the same and this too is the Lord’s work that we learn in respecting where the Lord has every man in His hands.

Rom 12:3  For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith.

The pillar of truth that was used to open my eyes was coming to see the sovereignty of the Lord in all things.  We truly can nothing apart from the Lord.  It is everywhere in our bibles, but we just can’t see it before our time to see it arrives.

Php 2:13  For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure.

Pro 16:9  A man’s heart deviseth his way: but the LORD directeth his steps.

Even the bad things we do are His work in us (Isa 45:7).  Here is an article/post which covers the bad things we do and who is causing them.

Who is Responsible for Evil?

Blessed are the eyes of the few given to know these mysteries and the symbols and parables by which the Scriptures are written to keep the multitudes blinded. The heavens, earth and deep places primarily speak to what the Lord is doing IN YOU as all these words are signified and are Spirit (Joh 6:63).  Yet many multiple of witnesses speak to the immutable truth of the limitless power of God’s authority over the affairs of men.

Psa 135:6  Whatever the LORD pleases He does, In heaven and in earth, In the seas and in all deep places.

Job 23:13  But he is in one mind, and who can turn him? and what his soul desireth, even that he doeth.

Eph 1:11  In whom also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestinated according to the purpose of him who worketh all things after the counsel of his own will:

Dan 4:35  And all the inhabitants of the earth are reputed as nothing: and he doeth according to his will in the army of heaven, and among the inhabitants of the earth: and none can stay his hand, or say unto him, What doest thou?

The Lord needs nothing from His pieces of clay He is molding.  He has already declared it and we and every man are just living it out now.

Isa 64:8  But now, O LORD, thou art our father; we are the clay, and thou our potter; and we all are the work of thy hand.

Joh 15:5  I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.

Act 17:25  Neither is worshipped with men’s hands, as though he needed any thing, seeing he giveth to all life, and breath, and all things;

Act 17:26  And hath made of one blood all nations of men for to dwell on all the face of the earth, and hath determined the times before appointed, and the bounds of their habitation;

Psa 139:16  Thine eyes did see my substance, yet being unperfect; and in thy book all my members were written, which in continuance were fashioned, when as yet there was none of them.

It is the Lord’s desire to bring every man to repentance and save every man.  That He will do by the means He has devised from the very beginning.

2Pe 3:9  The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance.

2Sa 14:14  For we must needs die, and are as water spilt on the ground, which cannot be gathered up again; neither doth God respect any person: yet doth he devise means, that his banished be not expelled from him (i.e. Saved).

The way of salvation by us living by an experience of evil and then being judged by the Word we are so blessed to hear and that which is alive with us.  Thus, the true grace of God is being made manifest to those the Lord has chosen to be His House in this age.

Heb 12:6  For whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth, and scourgeth every son whom he receiveth.

1Pe 4:17  For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God?

Rev 15:8  And the temple was filled with smoke from the glory of God, and from his power; and no man was able to enter into the temple, till the seven plagues of the seven angels were fulfilled.

The Old Testament spoke clearly of this as well.  The way God’s people are redeemed is thru many tribulations (Act 14:22) which is the judgment of God.

Exo 6:5  And I have also heard the groaning of the children of Israel, whom the Egyptians keep in bondage; and I have remembered my covenant.

Exo 6:6  Wherefore say unto the children of Israel, I am the LORD, and I will bring you out from under the burdens of the Egyptians, and I will rid you out of their bondage, and I will redeem you with a stretched out arm, and with great judgments:

Judgment is the fire that will burn up the unclean, consume the wood (carnal mind) and sanctify us in Christ.   The judgment of the old man is the blessing for the new man and the means of salvation.  It is also known as the strange act (Isa 28:21-22) that will consume all of God’s adversaries in the earth.

1Co 3:15  If any man’s work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire.

Turning our hearts back to the Lord (repentance) is the Lord’s work in us just as the turning of our hearts away from Him is in the first place.  As clay in His hands, the Lord turns us into destruction on purpose in order to then turn us back (grant repentance); but only in the appointed times.

Psa 90:3  Thou turnest man to destruction; and sayest, Return (REPENT), ye children of men.

Isa 63:17  O LORD, why hast thou made us to err from thy ways, and hardened our heart from thy fear? Return for thy servants’ sake, the tribes of thine inheritance.

New Testament witnesses agree, and it is through these multiple witnesses that every truth is established.

Rom 9:21  Hath not the potter power over the clay, of the same lump to make one vessel unto honour, and another unto dishonour?

2Ti 2:20  But in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and of silver, but also of wood and of earth; and some to honour, and some to dishonour.

Even repentance is in the “box of all things” the Lord is working in the hearts of all men.

Act 5:31  Him God has exalted to His right hand to be Prince and Savior, to give repentance to Israel and forgiveness of sins

Rom 2:4  Or do you despise the riches of His goodness, forbearance, and longsuffering, not knowing that the goodness of God leads you to repentance?

Act 11:18  When they heard these things they became silent; and they glorified God, saying, “Then God has also granted to the Gentiles repentance to life.”

Only those blinded by God could speak confidently and repeatedly in arguing that our choosing the Lord and repenting are all the choice of man’s supposed free will.  Not that more proof is needed but we have lots more once we see this with God-given eyes.

Joh 6:44  No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me drag [draw] him: and I will raise him up at the last day.

Joh 6:65  And he said, Therefore said I unto you, that no man can come unto me, except it were given unto him of my Father.

The promise of the New Covenant expressed through the prophets shows the hand of God involved in every aspect of salvation.  There is no “we must do anything” in this promise, it is all “I WILL SAYS THE LORD

Eze 36:23  And I will sanctify My great name, which has been profaned among the nations, which you have profaned in their midst; and the nations shall know that I am the LORD,” says the Lord GOD, “when I am hallowed in you before their eyes.

Eze 36:24  For I will take you from among the nations, gather you out of all countries, and bring you into your own land.

Eze 36:25  Then I will sprinkle clean water on you, and you shall be clean; I will cleanse you from all your filthiness and from all your idols.

Eze 36:26  I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; I will take the heart of stone out of your flesh and give you a heart of flesh.

Eze 36:27  I will put My Spirit within you and cause you to walk in My statutes, and you will keep My judgments and do them.

Eze 36:28  Then you shall dwell in the land that I gave to your fathers; you shall be My people, and I will be your God.

Eze 36:29  I will deliver you from all your uncleannesses. I will call for the grain and multiply it, and bring no famine upon you.

It is 100% the Lord.  The circumcision of our hearts is done by His hands and not the delusion of man’s free will doing it.

Col 2:11  In Him you were also circumcised with the circumcision made without hands, by putting off the body of the sins of the flesh, by the circumcision of Christ

Those that think it is up to them are not the true circumcision as such ones still have confidence in flesh and by extension the delusion of free will.

Php 3:3  For we are the circumcision, who worship God in the Spirit, rejoice in Christ Jesus, and have no confidence in the flesh,

Those whom the Lord has blinded in this age will stay blind until the Lord has ordained them to see and to hear the things of the Spirit.  One of the hardest things we first learn is this principle and that we cannot give to anyone what the Lord has given to us.

Mat 13:16  But blessed are your eyes, for they see: and your ears, for they hear.

Mat 13:17  For verily I say unto you, That many prophets and righteous men have desired to see those things which ye see, and have not seen them; and to hear those things which ye hear, and have not heard them.

The Lord is working to bring about His good and perfect will in the lives of every man that has ever lived.  He will do it and bring it all to pass exactly on schedule beginning with the chosen few, the Elect (Mat 22:14) who are given to believe now.

Isa 45:12  I have made the earth, and created man upon it: I, even my hands, have stretched out the heavens, and all their host have I commanded.

Isa 45:13  I have raised him up in righteousness, and I will direct all his ways: he shall build my city, and he shall let go my captives, not for price nor reward, saith the LORD of hosts.

1Ti 4:10  For therefore we both labour and suffer reproach, because we trust in the living God, who is the Saviour of all men, specially of those that believe (now).

1Ti 4:11  These things command and teach.

These are essential truths upon which the house of God is built and the process of salvation works within our heavens and our earth.  Good to remember and be able to give answers to those precious few the Lord will put in our path.

1Pe 3:15  But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear:

Leaving The “Eternal Judgment” vs The Day of Judgment

“The “Eternal Judgment” vs The Day of Judgement”

Studies by teachers combined into one study by Ronel.

What are the milk doctrines?

Heb 6:1 Therefore leaving the principles of the doctrine of Christ, let us go on unto perfection; not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works, and of faith toward God,

Heb 6:2 Of the doctrine of baptisms, and of laying on of hands, and of resurrection of the dead, and of eternal judgment.

These six milk doctrines are simply the beginning of our walk and not the end nor the result of the end of our walk. However, it is an extremely vital step in us to “beginning” and “progressing” towards the mark of the prize of the high calling in Christ Jesus. We are taught these doctrines in the orthodox churches of the world, all denominations.

We are told to go beyond the milk doctrines:

We are to begin to mature to the point where we are, as Paul was, in that we press towards the mark of the prize of the High Calling in Christ Jesus. There is a reason we must do this, and it is to obtain the righteousness of Christ, because anyone living on milk and not starting to digest solid food will quickly die.

Heb 5:12 For when for the time ye ought to be teachers, ye have need that one teach you again which be the first principles of the oracles of God; and are become such as have need of milk, and not of strong meat.

(NIV) Heb 5:13 Anyone who lives on milk, being still an infant, is not acquainted with the teaching about righteousness.

(NIV) Heb 5:14 But solid food is for the mature, who by constant use have trained themselves to distinguish good from evil.

We leave and move past those things which result in spiritual death but are the beginning of life to those who mature past them. The focus of today’s study specifically is moving past the doctrine of “eternal judgment” and maturing into the life which is Jesus Christ. As always, let’s leave the Scriptures to teach us and not go above that which is written on the subject. Let us also study to show ourselves approved, a workman not needing to be ashamed.

1Co 4:6 And these things, brethren, I have in a figure transferred to myself and [ to] Apollos for your sakes; that ye might learn in us not to think above that which is written, that no one of you be puffed up for one against another

2Ti 2:15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

Define “Eternal Judgment”, first, look at the word “eternal”:

ETERNAL – IS IT REALLY ETERNAL? Our modern English word eternal means WITHOUT a beginning and WITHOUT an end. In the Holy Scriptures, the Greek word is aionios and the corresponding Hebrew word is olam. The root for aionios is the noun aion. The English equivalent of the Greek word aion is eon or age. It is defined as a PERIOD OF TIME. A period of time has a BEGINNING, when the age began, a MIDDLE or DURING the age, as seen many times in the scriptures, and there is an END of the time or age, where the age is ended. Examples of this:

The New King James states it correctly: 1Co 2:7 (NKJV) But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, the hidden wisdom which God ordained before the ages for our glory,

New King James version: Tit 2:12 (NKJV) teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly in the present age,

1Co 10:11 (NKJV) Now all these things happened to them as examples, and they were written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the ages have come.

To conclude: “Aionian” judgment means AGE-LASTING, pertaining to a period of time; when will judgment begin if it is “eternal”? When will judgment end if it is “eternal”?

Now, look at the second word “judgment” i.e. “eternal judgment”:  It is the Greek word G2917, “krima”

G2917

κριμα

krima

Total KJV Occurrences:28

judgment, 12

damnation, 7

condemnation, 5

avenged, 1

condemned, 1

judgments, 1

law, 1

Let’s read several verses to see the meaning of this word:

Mat 23:14 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye devour widows’ houses, and for a pretence make long prayer: therefore ye shall receive the greater damnation.

Rom 3:8 And not [ rather], (as we be slanderously reported, and as some affirm that we say,) Let us do evil, that good may come? whose damnation is just.

Rom 13:2 Whosoever therefore resisteth the power, resisteth the ordinance of God: and they that resist shall receive to themselves damnation.

1Co 11:29 For he that eateth and drinketh unworthily, eateth and drinketh damnation to himself, not discerning the Lord’s body.

1Ti 5:12 Having damnation, because they have cast off their first faith.

Luk 23:40 But the other answering rebuked him, saying, Dost not thou fear God, seeing thou art in the same condemnation?

1Co 11:34 And if any man hunger, let him eat at home; that ye come not together unto condemnation. And the rest will I set in order when I come.

Jas 3:1 My brethren, be not many masters, knowing that we shall receive the greater condemnation.

Luk 24:20 And how the chief priests and our rulers delivered him to be condemned to death, and have crucified him.

We are first banished, confined or imprisoned in chains in a realm that is known as “death” (age lasting condemnation/damnation), banished in trespasses and sins, even as all in Adam (flesh) are first held in death. This is the necessary first step before the true judgment of God/Day of Judgment begins in our lives, according to this Word and principle;

Heb 9:27 And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:

1Co 15:22 For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive.

Eph 2:1 And you hath he quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins;

Eph 2:2 Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience:

Eph 2:3 Among whom also we all had our conversation in times past in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind; and were by nature the children of wrath, even as others.

Rom 7:24 O wretched man that I am! who shall deliver me from the body of this death?

This is all one and the same thing in the Spirit, as being in darkness, abode of “hell”, in disobedience committing sins as it is written:

Rom 8:6 For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.

1Pe 4:3 For the time past of our life may suffice us to have wrought the will of the Gentiles, when we walked in lasciviousness, lusts, excess of wine, revellings, banquetings, and abominable idolatries!

1Jn 1:6 If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth:

1Jn 2:11 But he that hateth his brother is in darkness, and walketh in darkness, and knoweth not whither he goeth, because that darkness hath blinded his eyes.

1Jn 3:14 We know that we have passed from death unto life, because we love the brethren. He that loveth not his brother abideth in death.

Peter reminds us for whom and where this darkness and blindness is in the Spirit.

2Pe 2:4 For if God spared not the angels that sinned, but cast them down to hell, and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved unto judgment;

2Pe 2:9 The Lord knoweth how to deliver the godly out of temptations, and to reserve the unjust unto the day of judgment to be punished:

2Pe 2:10 But chiefly them that walk after the flesh [you and I in our time and season!] in the lust of uncleanness, and despise government. Presumptuous are they, self-willed, [when we all had doctrine of ‘freewill’ in our hearts] they are not afraid to speak evil of dignities.

So being chained in darkness, in death, banished in a spiritual realm called “hell”, walking after the flesh is the pre-requisite for all judgment of God. It is also at that time, while we were dead in trespasses and sin that the gospel is first preached to us, and the Word of God is preached while we dwelt under the shadow of death that is our old ministers and pastors under the Law in the orthodox Christian churches.

Heb 9:27 And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:

Rom 8:12 Therefore, brethren, we are debtors, not to the flesh, to live after the flesh. Rom 8:13 For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live.

The fruitless works of darkness:

Being in death produces the fruits and works of death.

Gal 5:19 Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness,

Gal 5:20 Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies,

Gal 5:21 Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.

o eternal judgment, one of the milk doctrines, is really “age abiding damnation and or condemnation” which has a beginning and an end and everything in-between! If we are His, the Lord and “His Christ” come to save us from this condition so that true judgment can begin, righteous judgment in our Day of Judgment.

It must be known from early on that ALL God’s ways are judgment, bringing His creation into a process of time, an age in which we are continuously under judgment. Our Day of the Lord!

Let us now ask who is the Judge in this Day!

There is only one Judge who is bringing all judgment and verdicts through one Lord Jesus Christ.

Heb 12:23 To the general assembly and church of the firstborn, which are written in heaven, and to God the Judge of all, and to the spirits of just men made perfect,

All that the Father of spirits does is through the only begotten son, one Lord Jesus Christ/Living Word and “His Christ”;

1Co 8:5 For though there be that are called gods, whether in heaven or in earth, (as there be gods many, and lords many,)

1Co 8:6 But to us there is but one God, the Father, of whom are all things, and we in him; and one Lord Jesus Christ, by whom are all things, and we by him.

2Ti 4:1 I charge thee therefore before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, who shall judge the quick and the dead at his appearing and his kingdom;

Rom 2:16 In the day when God shall judge the secrets of men by Jesus Christ according to my gospel.

Is that authority and judgment independent of the Father? Is being “given” a position, an office of judgment suggestive of doing what one wants, judging out of one’s own ideas, principles, and own witness? The Lord answers us:

Joh 5:30 I can of mine own self do nothing: as I hear, I judge: and my judgment is just; [why is it just?] because I seek not mine own will, but the will of the Father which hath sent me.

True judgment begins in our Day of the Lord, where is this place of judgment:

Age lasting judgment takes place wherein the Judge comes, which is within God’s people now in these bodies of clay.

Rom 8:9 But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you, Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.

The Son has been committed all judgment, and when He comes to the realm of our time, in this earthen body of clay of our minds and hearts, then judgment is said to begin. The Lord comes into the darkness of our fleshly hearts in great Light, for a period of time. From when He begins until judgment is finished in us, is what is scripturally known as “age-lasting judgment.” Since the flesh cannot abide ‘forever’, the judgment is for an appointed period of time.

Order of Judgement:

Heb 9:27 And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:

1Co 15:22 For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive.

1Co 15:23 But every man in his own order: Christ the firstfruits; [the Head] afterward they that are Christ’s at his coming [His Body].

The rest of uncalled mankind and the great multitude gathering unto Christ in the flesh will be judged at a later judgment day called the great white throne judgment. The flesh, imprisoned in a very dark place called hell, or Greek ‘Hades’, in Hebrew ‘Sheol’, are all fallen into the deep pit to be redeemed and judged at a later time, which in the mind of Christ. The masses all sleep the sleep of ‘Death’.

2Co 4:3 But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost:

THE DAY OF JUDGMENT, THE COMING OF THE JUDGE:

Jesus Christ has been committed all judgment. So at His appointed time, He comes within his chosen, His firstfruits to do only one thing …

Joh 9:39 And Jesus said, For judgment I am come into this world, that they which see not might see; and that they which see might be made blind.

Joh 12:31 Now is the judgment of this world: now shall the prince of this world be cast out.

The Lord brings a sword and fire to carry out judgment.

Mat 10:34 Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword.

Mal 3:2 But who may abide the day of his coming? and who shall stand when he appeareth? for he is like a refiner’s fire, and like fullers’ soap:

Mal 3:3 And he shall sit as a refiner and purifier of silver: and he shall purify the sons of Levi, and purge them as gold and silver, that they may offer unto the LORD an offering in righteousness

Jer 23:29 Is not my word like as a fire? saith the LORD; and like a hammer that breaketh the rock in pieces?

Joh 12:48 He that rejecteth me, and receiveth not my words, hath one that judgeth him: the word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day.

Judgment by Christ with his glittering sword and consuming fire begins in His elect, now!

1Pe 4:12 Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened unto you:

1Pe 4:17 For the time is come [the age is come] that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God?

How is Christ’s judgments accomplished in us?

1Co 11:30 For this cause many are weak and sickly among you, and many sleep.

1Co 11:31 For if we would judge ourselves, we should not be judged.

1Co 11:32 But when we are judged, we are chastened of the Lord, [WHY?] that we should not be condemned with the world.

1Co 4:3 But with me it is a very small thing that I should be judged of you, or of man’s judgment: yea, I judge not mine own self.

1Co 4:4 For I know of nothing against myself, yet I am not justified by this; but He who judges me is the Lord.

You and I have been sleeping before judgment comes upon us.

Heb 9:27 And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:

When the judgment of the Lord does come, we are awakened from our sleep in “hell”, place of disobedience, by being given a good chastening, a reprimand, a reprove, a rebuking, an affliction – just about anything in the hand of the Lord to wake us up out of this deep sleep of death. Chastening is a major part of this righteous Judgment of the Lord, but our flesh does not like this at all. To qualify as sons and daughters of God, chastening and scourging are a necessity that we may be partakers of all that is in God through the appointed Judge, Christ Jesus.

Heb 12:5-8 And ye have forgotten the exhortation which speaketh unto you as unto children, My son, despise not thou the chastening of the Lord, nor faint when thou art rebuked of him: 6 For whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth, and scourgeth every son whom he receiveth. 7 If ye endure chastening, [unto the end!] God dealeth with you as with sons; for what son is he whom the father chasteneth not? 8 But if ye be without chastisement, whereof all are partakers, [all, me] then are ye bastards, and not sons. [But not all men are being chastened, judged of the Lord in this age.]

Being exercised with chastening of the Lord is what produces the fruit of righteousness in us. It produces this fruit because we must first know what is being judged within us, what defilements are being scourged, burnt by fire and destroyed by the sword.

Mar 7:21 For from within, out of the heart of men, proceed evil thoughts, adulteries, fornications, murders,

Mar 7:22 thefts, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, lasciviousness, an evil eye, blasphemy, pride, foolishness:

Mar 7:23 All these evil things come from within, and defile the man.

Once judgment begins, we therefore are chastened and we begin to live godlier lives in this age, not just in the future sometime, but now TODAY.

Tit 2:11 For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men,

Tit 2:12 teaching [G3811, paideuō: chastening] us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world; [Greek in this present age]

It is PUNISHMENT to the flesh, an age-lasting punishment because our flesh is being destroyed by the sword and burnt with the Fire that is God Himself throughout the time/age we are being judged.

Mat 25:46 And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: [Greek aonios, age-lasting punishment] but the righteous into life eternal.

“Into everlasting punishment” is into the Fire that burns throughout all the ages.

Mat 25:41 Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart From me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, [Greek aionios, age-lasting fire] prepared for the devil and his angels:

Who is and what is that Fire that will judge and chasten us throughout the ages?

Heb 12:29 For our God is a consuming fire.

This is the age-lasting punishment to our flesh and ungodly ways …

The outcome of Christ’s judgment within us:

Psa 98:9 Before the LORD; for he cometh to judge the earth: with righteousness shall he judge the world, and the people with equity.

Mal 3:2 But who may abide the day of his coming? and who shall stand when he appeareth? for he is like a refiner’s fire, and like fullers’ soap:

Mal 3:3 And he shall sit as a refiner and purifier of silver: and he shall purify the sons of Levi, and purge them as gold and silver, that they may offer unto the LORD an offering in righteousness.

The Lord has an end goal in His judgments of our ungodly ways. He has been commissioned by the Father to bring us to Him, all ONE in Him, to the realm of life and righteousness. This is the age-lasting purpose of Christ, and it is through these judgments that we are being saved from this ungodly world within our hearts, and be redeemed from darkness and death that is our flesh. It is through age-lasting Judgment, the chastening fire of God, that we are being saved from sin that dwells within our flesh Also the water of His Word is washing us to be a chaste virgin without spot or wrinkle.

Rom 7:18  For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh,) dwelleth no good thing: for to will is present with me; but how to perform that which is good I find not.
Rom 7:19  For the good that I would I do not: but the evil which I would not, that I do.
Rom 7:20  Now if I do that I would not, it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwelleth in me.
Rom 7:21  I find then a law, that, when I would do good, evil is present with me.

Eph 5:26  That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word,

Eph 5:27  That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish.

The outcome of all judgments of all time:

Isa 26:9 With my soul have I desired thee in the night; yea, with my spirit within me will I seek thee early: for when thy judgments are in the earth, the inhabitants of the world will learn righteousness.

Heb 12:11 Now no chastening for the present seemeth to be joyous, but grievous: nevertheless afterward it yieldeth the peaceable fruit of righteousness unto them which are exercised thereby.

We are learning to discern between spiritual good and evil. It is through this age-lasting judgment we ourselves, are being delivered and is being delivered from our great enemy sin, that dwells within us, that we can live fully in the Spirit, as the prince of this world with all its false doctrines and deceptive ways of living Godly lives is and will be cast out of our hearts as the Judge, Jesus Christ, is coming and increasing in us. Once evil spirits such as hypocrisy are being cast out of us day by day, and our old man is perishing in the process, those few that are being overcome of the Holy Spirit of God are being ordained as judges of the second group of men, of those that are currently still being reserved in the darkness of “hell” where we once were dwelling and dwells from time to time. We do not judge without but within ourselves and within the Body of Christ and in the ages to come we will judge the masses that are in deep sleep now.

1Co 5:12 For what have I to do to judge them also that are without? do not ye judge them that are within?

1Co 5:13 But them that are without God judgeth. Therefore put away from among yourselves that wicked person. [that Old Man of sin within us all].

1Co 6:2 Do ye not know that the saints shall judge the world? and if the world shall be judged by you, are ye unworthy to judge the smallest matters?

1Co 6:3 Know ye not that we shall judge angels? how much more things that pertain to this life?

There is an age to come during which all those that are not being judged at this time will be judged by Christ through his Body, the elect of all ages, so that righteousness will rule everyone.

Rev 20:4 And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years.

The Reward of being judged now:

Apart from reigning and ruling with Christ, we receive a new family, those who do the will of God, the true sons of God. It is such a wonderful thing for brothers to dwell together in unity. We dwell in UNITY because we all have the same mind of Christ (Psa 133:1).

Luk 18:29 And he said unto them, Verily I say unto you, There is no man that hath left house, or parents, or brethren, or wife, or children, for the kingdom of God’s sake,

Luk 18:30 Who shall not receive manifold more in this present time, and in the world to come life everlasting.

What is our reward in this life for losing our old life?

Gal 5:22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,

Gal 5:23 Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.

Christ is a strong man to protect us.

Isa 32:18 And my people shall dwell in a peaceable habitation, and in sure dwellings, and in quiet resting places;

Luk 11:21 When a strong man armed keepeth his palace, his goods are in peace:

The new world of righteousness and Truth to come is now here in down payment earnest form in our hearts if Christ the Judge is being revealed in us. Knowing that there is an age to come, and if we are judged to be faithful, we shall reign and be judges with Christ and it should be a great inspiration for all walking this road.

Conclusion:

The outcome of all God’s judgments through the Lord Jesus Christ is for us to come to learn righteousness and in doing so we bring honor to the Son and to the Father. It is not just the firstfruits that will be bestowed this honor of knowing and doing righteousness, but all men in due time.

But it is through this judgment that God will make a way even to all our lost ones, uncalled or still walking after the flesh, in the age to come through us. God will bring everyone home, to Himself!

1Pe 3:18 For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit:

All will be brought home through age-lasting Judgment by the Fire of God’s Word, which is the means He has devised to fetch His banished, His dead sons, those poor with no goods and spiritual substance, the Lord’s prisoners in the flesh.

Ezr 7:26 And whosoever will not do the law of thy God, and the law of the king, let judgment be executed speedily upon him, whether it be unto death, or to banishment, or to confiscation of goods, or to imprisonment.

Our King, Jesus Christ, is not slack nor does He has any fault in Him. He will bring us all unto Himself, not willing that any should perish, but all should be created new through His chastening fire of age-lasting judgment which we live now!

2Pe 3:9 The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.

As God’s elect are given mercy through God’s judgments, in due time when judgment is committed to us, we will be returning the favor so to speak, and do likewise unto our neighbors and have mercy in judgment, bringing others into the righteousness and mind of the Father. Mercy in judgment makes the heart glad over merciless judgment. Age-lasting Judgment by God’s consuming Fire however produces righteousness that triumphs over merciless judgment. For this cause, the apostle James admonishes us to:

Jas 2:12 (NKJV) So speak and so do as those who will be judged by the law of liberty.

Jas 2:13 For judgment is without mercy to the one who has shown no mercy.

Suffering and Judgment in this age:

We, as Christ did, learn obedience by the things which we are suffering. Suffering with Christ is indicative of judgment being on the House of God in US. We learn by experience of both suffering and judgment from Christ who went through it first in the same flesh we have. Out flesh suffers the same as Christ’s flesh but in down payment form.

Heb 5:8 Though he were a Son, yet learned he obedience by the things which he suffered;

Heb 5:9 And being made perfect, he became the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey him;

Heb 5:8 and 9 tells us that we learn obedience through suffering, and when we suffer we learn obedience, our faith being tested as gold tried in the fire. It is the Father THROUGH Christ doing these things IN US.

1Pe 4:15 But let none of you suffer as a murderer, or as a thief, or as an evildoer, or as a busybody in other men’s matters.

1Pe 4:16 Yet if any man suffer as a Christian, let him not be ashamed; but let him glorify God on this behalf.

1Pe 4:17 For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God?

We should not be suffering as evil doers – murderers, thieves or busybodies in other men’s matters, but we need to be suffering as Christians. That judgment on us as “Christ likes,” which is what Christian means (Christ- like), results in obedience.

Obedience is something that comes from suffering. It is a direct spiritual result. How can that be? We read it earlier. It is obeying Christ, being obedient to what Christ would have us do.

(KJV) Heb 5:14 But strong meat belongeth to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.

(BBE) But solid food is for men of full growth, even for those whose senses are trained by use to see what is good and what is evil.

(GNB) Solid food, on the other hand, is for adults, who through practice are able to distinguish between good and evil.

(LITV) But solid food is for those full grown, having exercised the faculties through habit, for distinction of both good and bad.

It is through the very act of SIN, the very act of committing SIN that we learn to be obedient. We learn what is right from wrong because through the sins we commit we learn what NOT to do any longer; thus, we learn obedience because we are judged with a big spanking from the Father. As parents, do we not discipline our children for doing what’s wrong? Do our children not learn what is wrong from doing it and being JUDGED of it? In essence, the Lord takes away our full bottle of milk in His own timing and starts to give us solid spiritual food.

Heb 12:5 And ye have forgotten the exhortation which speaketh unto you as unto children, My son, despise not thou the chastening of the Lord, nor faint when thou art rebuked of him:

Heb 12:6 For whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth, and scourgeth every son whom he receiveth.

Heb 12:7 If ye endure chastening, God dealeth with you as with sons; for what son is he whom the father chasteneth not?

Heb 12:8 But if ye be without chastisement, whereof all are partakers, then are ye bastards, and not sons.

The words here translated as ‘chastening’ should say ‘teaches’ or ‘teaching’, and when we are loved by our Father we are shown the error of our ways, we are shown judgment which Lord willing is NOW on our house, the House of God. Christ was made sin and that flesh that Christ was made into had to be judged and done away with.

2Co 5:21 For he hath made him [ to be] sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.

Suffering and Judgment = Acknowledgment and Obedience:

We suffer because we are being judged, and this all builds up to us ultimately acknowledging our sovereign Father as our Head and saying, “Nevertheless, Thy will be done” as is what Christ prayed to God the Father when His flesh did not want to be judged. After all, when we are disciplining our physical children it simply results in our children acknowledging that what we told them they need to be doing and that they must do otherwise it will result in certain actions on our part if they do not obey and do as we say. Ultimately, we do it or should be doing it because we LOVE them, and how much more do we believe that our Father loves us when we are going through the sufferings He has prepared for us? That is exactly what we are told why we are being taught obedience through the things we suffer:

Heb 12:9 Furthermore we have had fathers of our flesh which corrected [ us], and we gave [ them] reverence: shall we not much rather be in subjection unto the Father of spirits, and live?

Heb 12:10 For they verily for a few days chastened [ us] after their own pleasure; but he for [ our] profit, that [ we] might be partakers of his holiness.

Heb 12:11 Now no chastening for the present seemeth to be joyous, but grievous: nevertheless afterward it yieldeth the peaceable fruit of righteousness unto them which are exercised thereby.

If Christ Himself had to endure judgment on His flesh, how much more do we need to endure judgment on our flesh which is sin in and of itself but also how much more will we have to endure judgment because of the very sins we are committing. We are by nature children of wrath, and that is why we go past the milk doctrines of Christ and move on towards maturity. The more sin we commit, the more there is to be judged.

When sin no longer has dominion over us, then it is not something that we need to concentrate on. Indeed, it is VERY important to consider and repent of immediately, but it is NOT our master anymore. Our old masters demand our full attention “or else”, but when we have those masters no longer, we give attention to our new master, our new Head, Jesus Christ.

Rom 6:14 For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace.

Rom 6:15 What then? shall we sin, because we are not under the law, but under grace? God forbid.

Rom 6:16 Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness?

Rom 6:17 But God be thanked, that ye were the servants of sin, but ye have obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine which was delivered you.

Rom 6:18 Being then made free from sin, ye became the servants of righteousness.

Christ came to do the Will of His Father and fulfilled that Will by “learning obedience by the things He suffered”. We, too, must be willing servants to only do His will and not our own. We are being made ready to pick up our cross and follow Christ to death and that on a daily basis. God wants His whole sacrifice, His true tithe paid in full daily.

We have seen in the Word that as children we will be living on the milk of the Word of God as we start off on our spiritual walk with the Lord. However, we are moving past those things which we all have been taught week after week in the orthodox Christian churches that we all have come from and is mentioned in Hebrews chapter 6, specifically the milk doctrine of “eternal judgment”, which is really “age lasting damnation and or condemnation”, one of the six milk doctrines, a period of disobedience and spiritual death.

True Judgment, age abiding judgment, is a process continuing for the rest of our earthly lives if He is working with us now, and resulting in us learning obedience because of the things we suffer from that judgment. We have periods of eternal judgement i.e. “age lasting damnation” even in our Day of Judgment in other words periods of disobedience because the Lord burns out our sins little by little and not everything at once. We are always being judged in these clay vessels, we never arrive in this life.

If we endure these teachings, we are considered sons. Take comfort in knowing that we all have to endure these same judgments at the appointed time of our Father and His judgments are just. So “Mystery Babylon, the mother of Harlots”, is being judged within us daily! This is Good News!

Rom 13:2 Whosoever therefore resisteth the power, resisteth the ordinance of God: and they that resist shall receive to themselves damnation. (judgment)

(ASV) Rev 18:19 And they cast dust on their heads, and cried, weeping and mourning, saying, Woe, woe, the great city, wherein all that had their ships in the sea were made rich by reason of her costliness! for in one hour is she made desolate.

(ASV) Rev 18:20 Rejoice over her, thou heaven, and ye saints, and ye apostles, and ye prophets; for God hath judged your judgment on her.

(ASV) Rev 18:21 And a strong angel took up a stone as it were a great millstone and cast it into the sea, saying, Thus with a mighty fall shall Babylon, the great city, be cast down, and shall be found no more at all.

Rev 15:3 And they sing the song of Moses the servant of God, and the song of the Lamb, saying, Great and marvellous [ are] thy works, Lord God Almighty; just and true [ are] thy ways, thou King of saints.

“Let the people praise thee, O God; let all the people praise thee” is a witness that the key to harmony is only possible with the true witness of Christ’s life within us.

Rev 1:8 I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty.

When Do We Drink of the Lord’s Cup of Wrath?

This post is based on a question and answer regarding this article entitled Drinking the Cup of God’s Wrath.  It is guaranteed by the Scriptures that all men will drink of the Lord’s cup. That is indeed the way by which all men shall be saved in the appointed times for each.  Drinking of the cup is the trials, the oppression, the persecution we must endure that is necessary to accomplish the Lord’s will in our lives, which is our sanctification and salvation from sin.  That is how the real baptism takes place that brings forth the new man from the death of the old man.

Mat 3:11 I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance: but he that cometh after me is mightier than I, whose shoes I am not worthy to bear: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost, and with fire:

Mat 20:23 And he saith unto them, Ye shall drink indeed of my cup, and be baptized with the baptism that I am baptized with

Being made alive is to be risen in the Spirit of the Lord. This comes to the house of the Lord in this age but will come to all men in due time.  The most essential promise of a faithful God who cannot lie.

1Co 15:22 For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive.

Here is the question and the follow-up answer that should edify and expand on this mystery of the kingdom of God.

QUESTION: So all will experience the cup of wrath whether they are seeking or not seeking Him? I am seeking Jesus. Are we not saved until the cup comes? And if it comes, is it at the moment of death or is it during our lifetime?

Thanks for your question. A very long paper could be written as your question get at the heart of the Lord’s process of how salvation comes to us. Your question was getting to the heart of what Jesus was speaking about here in Matthew 20. The sons of Zebedee nor their mother had any clue what they were asking yet Christ elaborated on the drinking of the cup, which represents dying to the flesh.

Mat 20:23 And he saith unto them, Ye shall drink indeed of my cup, and be baptized with the baptism that I am baptized with: but to sit on my right hand, and on my left, is not mine to give, but it shall be given to them for whom it is prepared of my Father.

The Lord makes it clear there is no free will involved.

Jer 25:28 And it shall be, if they refuse to take the cup at thine hand to drink, then shalt thou say unto them, Thus saith the LORD of hosts; Ye shall certainly drink.

We all will drink of this cup and this for good reason to serve the purposes of the Lord and bringing about His will, which is our sanctification (1 The 4:3). Flesh is not inheriting the kingdom of God PERIOD.

1Co 15:50 Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption.

Nobody seeks after the true God. The real Jesus is not attractive to flesh and the carnal mind, there is natural enmity put there by the Lord on purpose. No the only way anyone gets to the the Lord is to be dragged there.

Joh 6:44 No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me drag him: and I will raise him up at the last day.

Joh 6:65 And he said, Therefore said I unto you, that no man can come unto me, except it were given unto him of my Father

Drinking of this cup is partaking in the Lord’s supper.  This is when we eat His flesh and drink His blood.  These are spiritual statements (Joh 6:63) and refer to our following the Lord and enduring persecution, afflictions and suffering in this age in these physical bodies that are used to burn out of us all our carnal and worldly ways.

Joh 6:53 Then Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except ye eat the flesh of the Son of man, and drink his blood, ye have no life in you.
Joh 6:54 Whoso eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, hath eternal life; and I will raise him up at the last day.
Joh 6:55 For my flesh is meat indeed, and my blood is drink indeed.
Joh 6:56 He that eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, dwelleth in me, and I in him.

Few are given in this age to understand these truths much less walk it out.  Almost all leave Christ as they are not made ready to pay the costs of being a disciple.

Joh 6:66 From that time many of his disciples went back, and walked no more with him.

But back to your specific question input.  We are told point blank, nobody seeks after God.

Rom 3:10 As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one:
Rom 3:11 There is none that understandeth, there is none that seeketh after God.

We are told point blank, nobody finds Jesus Christ. He finds us, we don’t choose Him.  We seek the other jesus in the delusion of our carnal mind.

Isa 65:1 I am sought of them that asked not for me; I am found of them that sought me not: I said, Behold me, behold me, unto a nation that was not called by my name.

Joh 15:16 Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you.

Walking in darkness separated from the Lord is all His plan for our lives. His people must first go into Babylon and be deceived before they are dragged to the real Jesus Christ in the appointed time or in what the Scriptures also say “due time”. This is the plan for men’s lives and in the end it all works for good. The only way we call on the Lord is to first be brought to our wits end. This making the storms, putting us in darkness is all the wonderful works of the Lord to the children of men which is code words for His true Body, the Elect of God. The Lord is doing it all as our lives are simply the works of His hands (Isa 64:8).

Psa 107:24 These see the works of the LORD, and his wonders in the deep.
Psa 107:25 For he commandeth, and raiseth the stormy wind, which lifteth up the waves thereof.
Psa 107:26 They mount up to the heaven, they go down again to the depths: their soul is melted because of trouble.
Psa 107:27 They reel to and fro, and stagger like a drunken man, and are at their wits’ end.
Psa 107:28 Then they cry unto the LORD in their trouble, and he bringeth them out of their distresses.
Psa 107:29 He maketh the storm a calm, so that the waves thereof are still.
Psa 107:30 Then are they glad because they be quiet; so he bringeth them unto their desired haven.
Psa 107:31 Oh that men would praise the LORD for his goodness, and for his wonderful works to the children of men!

A day will come when we will hear the call to come out of her (Babylon) my people. And we will then come out because we will have been found by the Lord and our heart will be made willing to search for Him with our whole hearts.

Jer 29:11 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.
Jer 29:12 Then shall ye call upon me, and ye shall go and pray unto me, and I will hearken unto you.
Jer 29:13 And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart.
Jer 29:14 And I will be found of you, saith the LORD: and I will turn away your captivity, and I will gather you from all the nations, and from all the places whither I have driven you, saith the LORD; and I will bring you again into the place whence I caused you to be carried away captive.

So getting back to your question, we all will experience this wrath. All will drink of the cup of the wrath of God, but it will come in the time appointed by the Lord. That cup is the true grace of God. Grace is what chastens, us, it is the scourging of our fleshly way of life, it is how we learn obedience by the things we suffer.

Heb 12:6 For whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth, and scourgeth every son whom he receiveth.

Grace and the scourging that goes with it comes to those the Lord loves. He loves all men but in this age, in this life, He loves His Elect who are the apple of His eye. That is who is being scourged now. That is the same thing as being judged and that is how we enter into the kingdom of God.

1Pe 4:17 For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God?

Judgment is how we are redeemed from the bondage of the flesh and the ways of this world which is Egypt in type and shadow.

Exo 6:6 Wherefore say unto the children of Israel, I am the LORD, and I will bring you out from under the burdens of the Egyptians, and I will rid you out of their bondage, and I will redeem you with a stretched out arm, and with great judgments:

Isa 1:27 Zion shall be redeemed with judgment, and her converts with righteousness.

This wrath, which is the judgments is how we learn the true righteousness of Jesus Christ in our appointed times. Best to be judged now and be learning this now.

Isa 26:9 With my soul have I desired thee in the night; yea, with my spirit within me will I seek thee early: for when thy judgments are in the earth, the inhabitants of the world will learn righteousness.

This grace of God is, was and will be appear to all men, but only the chosen few, the ELECT of God will understand what the Lord is doing and they will learn the truth and be remade by abiding in the fire of the truth which is the WORD.

Tit 2:11 For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men,
Tit 2:12 Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world;

This is what grace does when we live thru, i.e. DO THE JUDGMENTS of God.

Eze 36:26 A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh.
Eze 36:27 And I will put my spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes, and ye shall keep my judgments, and do them.

Do you see that? This is what CAUSES us to obey the Lord, that is how the new man is raised up within us and the old man destroyed. By the fire of the Word!. Our God is a consuming fire!

Salvation means be delivered from our sins. It is getting the victory over sin, that is what salvation means. We get that victory over time, through the process of living thru the grace and drinking of the cup of God’s wrath against our carnal lusts. Like all words of Scripture, those words are is, was and will be. They are continuious and that process of being judged and gaining salvation will not end until we are given our new spiritual bodies. We are given the victory little by little. So anyone saying I am saved is wrong. They may can say, they are being saved but only those who endure to the end will be saved as we should never forget.

Mat 24:13 But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.

We must finish our race in this age to be saved and be in that first resurrection. Otherwise we will fall short and be a castaway and be judged in the lake of fire with the rest of mankind. Paul tells us to not take our salvation for granted in this age, we must strive to stay on the narrow road working out our own salvation with fear and trembling.

1Co 9:27 But I keep under my body, and bring it into subjection: lest that by any means, when I have preached to others, I myself should be a castaway.

If one is called, chosen and found faithful and that not of their own doing but of the Lord’s doing, who is working all things for the council of His will, then they will be saved in this age and will be in the first resurrection. But the key word here is faithful. NOBODY HAS ARRIVED.

Rev 17:14 These shall make war with the Lamb, and the Lamb shall overcome them: for he is Lord of lords, and King of kings: and they that are with him are called, and chosen, and faithful.

So in conclusion, salvation is a process of being taught righteousness by living through the judgment of the Lord. All men are judged, but that day of judgment is the day or hour no one knows but only the Father. Far better to be judged now, to be saved now in down payment form and then be in that blessed and holy first resurrection. Then we will be used of the Lord.

1Co 11:31 For if we would judge ourselves, we should not be judged.
1Co 11:32 But when we are judged, we are chastened of the Lord, that we should not be condemned with the world.

In fact this brings out one of the mysterious ways of the Lord that orthodox Christianity and its false doctrines cannot comprehend.  The way to void being judged is to be judged now.  The only way to save your life is to lose it now.  In the same way this verse is often misapplied to claim contrary to hundreds of other verses that the people of God are not going to live thru the wrath of God.

1Th 5:9 For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ,

But it is the SUM, not SOME of thy word that is true (Psa 119:160).  No prophecy of Scripture is of its own private interpretation (2 Pet 1:20). The Scriptures in total make in perfectly clear the only way we know Jesus Christ and enter into Him is by living thru the wrath that comes by drinking this cup. No Exceptions!

Rev 15:8 And the temple was filled with smoke from the glory of God, and from his power; and no man was able to enter into the temple, till the seven plagues of the seven angels were fulfilled.

If we are found faithful and do endure to the end. We will make that first resurrection and then will be used of the Lord to judge all mankind and the angels in the lake of fire.

1Co 6:2 Do ye not know that the saints shall judge the world? and if the world shall be judged by you, are ye unworthy to judge the smallest matters?
1Co 6:3 Know ye not that we shall judge angels? how much more things that pertain to this life?

I do not know where you are with your understanding of these issues so I hope you will ask more questions and go read the links I am giving you below.

Only the Elect of God, the Body of Christ, the Church, aka the Israel of God is judged in this age.  This is the suffering that has been appointed to all that believe on the real Jesus through the gift of faith.  This is the drinking of the cup and how the baptism with fire and water, both of which remake us and conform us into the Lord’s image.

Php 1:29 For unto you it is given in the behalf of Christ, not only to believe on him, but also to suffer for his sake;

Isa 48:10 Behold, I have refined thee, but not with silver; I have chosen thee in the furnace of affliction.

Everyone else is judged in the lake of fire which is the way that all men will be saved in the end. But the truth I hope you have received is that all men will be saved just as the Scriptures declare and it is not depending upon the will or any man.

1Co 15:21 For since by man came death, by man came also the resurrection of the dead.
1Co 15:22 For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive.
1Co 15:23 But every man in his own order: Christ the firstfruits; afterward they that are Christ’s at his coming.
1Co 15:24 Then cometh the end, when he shall have delivered up the kingdom to God, even the Father; when he shall have put down all rule and all authority and power.

The Lord has made us marred on purpose so He can remake us and conform us into His image by this process. Being made new is how we are saved.

Rev 21:5 And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful.

It takes faith to believe these things and that all a gift. We will learn to wait on the Lord to deliver on His promises. He will because the Lord is faithful even when we, these marred vessels of clay are not.

2Ti 2:13 If we believe not, yet he abideth faithful: he cannot deny himself.

Differences in the Gospel Accounts?

Dear Pete:  I have a stranger question/concern. The gospels are all different from each other…..but we are told the gospel of John was written so that we may believe. The first 2 gospels Mark and Matthew say his last words were “why have you forsaken me”.  Luke says the last words were “into your hands i command my spirit” and John says “it is finished”.  This makes me wonder which one is true if any of them are.

John’s gospel also speaks of taking the name of the lord in vain and Jesus said that he shall not be held guiltless who takes the name of the lord in vain. I have done this, I  have taken Jesus’s name in vain.  What are your thoughts on this?

Thanks C_____________

Dear C______,

Thanks for the questions.  I hope my answer will make you aware of one of the keys to the kingdom of God.  That is coming to know and apply the principle that it is the SUM of the Scriptures that is the truth not just SOME of them.  May seem like a play on words but this is absolutely essential to know the truth.

Psa 119:160  (ASV) The sum of thy word is truth; And every one of thy righteous ordinances endureth for ever.

Jesus Christ is the truth.

Joh 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

Jesus Christ is the Word .

Joh 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

But that Word is not divisible, there are no divisions within Christ as all  In Christ have the same mind.

1Co 1:10 Now I beseech you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you; but that ye be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment.

To find the truth, one must take it all of His Word to find the truth otherwise we have another jesus.

That is exactly why Peter said this.

2Pe 1:20 knowing this first, that no prophecy of scripture at all is becoming its own explanation

Yet that is what we do being carnal and not taking the sum.  This is why we have thousands of denominations in the Babylonian churches.  Making bread is making doctrine and that is what we do in our yet carnal deluded state before we come to the real faith.  This is also how we justify ourselves and think we wear the garments only Christ can give us.

Isa 4:1  And in that day seven women shall take hold of one man, saying, We will eat our own bread, and wear our own apparel: only let us be called by thy name, to take away our reproach.

The Scriptures cannot be broken, they are ONE with one another.

Joh 10:35 If he called them gods, unto whom the word of God came, and the scripture cannot be broken;

One cannot take some of God’s word to the exclusion of others.  We are warned not to add nor to subtract from the Word and this is speaking of the WHOLE BIBLE.   There are serious consequences for us not applying these commandments.

Rev 22:18  For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book:

What are the plagues written in this book? They are the diseases of Egypt which are the lies and false doctrines we all first believe until we are given to know the truth by the gift of faith and the Lord opening our eyes and ears.  We have to be able to hear the call to come out of her, the harlot church and all the false doctrines we learn as carnal men in a wicked world waxing worse and worse.  Coming out of her is far greater than leaving the organized church system, it requires us to truly be separated from this world.

Rev 18:4  And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues.

So when in Spiritual Babylon still subject to the lies of the carnal mind and false church, we add to the word of God mixing carnal thoughts with the words of Scripture.  We take away when we deny certain words or passages do not apply to us.  The carnal delusion is those bad things only apply to those evil people over there yet we need to look in a mirror and come to see that we truly are beasts (Ecc 3:18) and nothing good dwells in us (Rom 7:24) and that we are the abomination of desolsation (Mat 24:15).

Rev 22:19  And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.

If we take away from the Scriptures we take away our part in the book of life for the time being.  All will be saved in the end but you do need to come to understand what it means to live by EVERY WORD.  The Bible is not a history lesson, every story is a living story and one you and me will live out.

Mat 4:4  But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.

This truth is so important we have it multiple times.

Luk 4:4  And Jesus answered him, saying, It is written, That man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word of God.

Deu 8:3  And he humbled thee, and suffered thee to hunger, and fed thee with manna, which thou knewest not, neither did thy fathers know; that he might make thee know that man doth not live by bread only, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of the LORD doth man live.

Jesus Christ is HIS WORD.  We will live by every word in due time, all men will and this is how we will eat of His Body.  He is the bread of life, this is the bread we must be eating daily to have AIONIOUS (eternal) life.   All those words in the Prophets and the Book of Revelation are His Word and we will live them out, we will eat them in due time.  That is how we come to possessing eternal life. Here is the definition of eternal life we should never lose sight of.  It is to KNOW Him and we only know Him by going through and living through judgment.

Joh 17:3  And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent.

Living by every word is good news for the new man, as Christ is formed in us and bad news for the old man.  Hence we are told these two witnesses to the truth.

Eze 2:8 But thou, son of man, hear what I say unto thee; Be not thou rebellious like that rebellious house: open thy mouth, and eat that I give thee.
Eze 2:9 And when I looked, behold, an hand was sent unto me; and, lo, a roll of a book was therein;
Eze 2:10 And he spread it before me; and it was written within and without: and there was written therein lamentations, and mourning, and woe. (for the old man)

And here is the same message in the New Testament.  Eating the book is living the words and taking them to heart.  It is sweet to the new man but bitter to the old.

Rev 10:9 And I went unto the angel, and said unto him, Give me the little book. And he said unto me, Take it, and eat it up; and it shall make thy belly bitter, but it shall be in thy mouth sweet as honey.
Rev 10:10 And I took the little book out of the angel’s hand, and ate it up; and it was in my mouth sweet as honey: and as soon as I had eaten it, my belly was bitter.

Living by every word,  is what Paul meant when he writes to us these words.

1Co 3:21  Therefore let no man glory in men. For all things are yours;

1Co 3:22  Whether Paul, or Apollos, or Cephas, or the world, or life, or death, or things present, or things to come; all are yours;

This is the ONE event that comes alike to all men. It only awaits the times the Lord has already determined.

Ecc 9:2  All things come alike to all: there is one event to the righteous, and to the wicked; to the good and to the clean, and to the unclean; to him that sacrificeth, and to him that sacrificeth not: as is the good, so is the sinner; and he that sweareth, as he that feareth an oath.

That one event is living by every word.  So you are King Saul, you are David, you are Jezebel, you are the Simon the sorcerer, you are Saul of Tarsus etc.  The bible is about God’s Elect, the Israel of God.  It is only written to them and about them and only they will understand in this life.  The rest will not understand and that is all the design of the Lord.

When the Lord truly comes into our life for the baptism with fire, not the other jesus we first know, then all that we thought we knew is shown to be lies.  Jesus comes for judgment when He appears, but you need to understand that is what saves us, that is how we are saved, we must go thru it for the old man to be destroyed and Christ to be raised in us.

Exo 6:6  Wherefore say unto the children of Israel, I am the LORD, and I will bring you out from under the burdens of the Egyptians, and I will rid you out of their bondage, and I will redeem you with a stretched out arm, and with great judgments:

Exo 6:7  And I will take you to me for a people, and I will be to you a God: and ye shall know that I am the LORD your God, which bringeth you out from under the burdens of the Egyptians.

When Christ comes, we realize we are blind and all we thought we knew was a lie, false doctrines like eternal hell and free will and the trinity are quickly burned up in the fire.

Joh 9:39  And Jesus said, For judgment I am come into this world, that they which see not might see; and that they which see might be made blind.

But the plan is always to redeem His people (all men in the end) WITH JUDGMENT.

Isa 1:27  Zion shall be redeemed with judgment, and her converts with righteousness.

We all think we see when we don’t.  Before Christ comes, we are sure we see, have experienced outward signs to prove it in most cases, but we know another jesus.  The real Lord is causing all things, even evil, even your very sins and is not going to burn people in eternal hell forever.  It is laughable and those that believe such nonsense have to not see the Scriptures or they are adding to and taking away from them as I showed earlier.  Here is a short list off the top of my head of Scriptures that make Babylonians dumbstruck.

Isa 45:7  I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things.

Most have never even seen this verse.  But if you show them they still won’t believe it and will want to blame evil on Satan and wicked men.  It takes a gift to believe the SUM/ALL the Scriptures and few have it (Mat 22:14).

Isa 63:17  O LORD, why hast thou (GOD) made us to err from thy ways, and hardened our heart from thy fear? Return for thy servants’ sake, the tribes of thine inheritance.

One can pair this verse with scores of others (Amo 3:6, Jer 10:23, Pro 19:21, Joh 15:5 etc etc) that make it perfectly clear the Lord causes all things including our bad things but they cannot believe it.  Wanting to be self righteous and save itself, the flesh and carnal mind will deny Jesus Christ at every turn.

Pro 16:4  The LORD hath made all things for himself: yea, even the wicked for the day of evil.

Another one of the all things verses that the carnal mind that denies the Lord want to limit or claim He allows things.  He allows nothing, He is working all things for the counsel of His will (Eph 2:11).

Psa 78:49  He cast upon them the fierceness of his anger, wrath, and indignation, and trouble, by sending evil angels among them.

I love this verse because it clearly shows the Lord is the one sending evil spirits, they do nothing outside of His will and He created them for His purposes just as Colossians 1 says.  The fact the Lord is ending them to Israel, His own people, His Elect is another wake up call to how deep and wide the lies are in Babylon.

The last verse I show here is also a good one. King Saul did not choose of his own free will to try to murder David.  It was the Lord working ALL THINGS.  How did the Lord do it?  The Lord sent an evil spirit to cause Saul to do it.  Here is the proof and there are many others witnesses, many more than the 2 or 3 necessary to establish a truth.

1Sa 19:9  And the evil spirit from the LORD was upon Saul, as he sat in his house with his javelin in his hand: and David played with his hand.

Nobody has not blasphemed the Lord’s name.  Doing things in His name refers not to how we pronounce His name, it is whether we are faithful to the true doctrines and obey His word.  Much better to obey (do things in His name) than to sacrifice to Him falsely.  We all take His name in vain but it is because of that and HIS jealousy that He comes and saves us.  This is how the Lord sanctifies His name, IN US.  He comes to bring salvation and clean up His temple, which temple we are.

Look at this promise of salvation and the new covenant.  It is all THE LORDS WORK, there is no you in any of it.

Eze 36:22  Therefore say unto the house of Israel, Thus saith the Lord GOD; I do not this for your sakes, O house of Israel, but for mine holy name’s sake, which ye have profaned among the heathen, whither ye went.

We are saved, delivered of our sins for His name sake, not for anything we do or did not do.  All men have sinned, all have profaned His name among the heathen yet He saves us anyway in the appointed times.

Eze 36:23  And I will sanctify my great name, which was profaned among the heathen, which ye have profaned in the midst of them; and the heathen shall know that I am the LORD, saith the Lord GOD, when I shall be sanctified in you before their eyes.

And here we see the mystery the carnal mind cannot see.  Salvation is of the Lord, HE DOES IT.  It is I WILL, there is no you required.  We are mere clay in His hands.  Let’s read on and see what else is said about how this happens and who is doing the work.

Eze 36:24  For I will take you from among the heathen, and gather you out of all countries, and will bring you into your own land.

Eze 36:25  Then will I sprinkle clean water upon you, and ye shall be clean: from all your filthiness, and from all your idols, will I cleanse you.

The result of the Lord’s work in us (Phil 2:13, Isa 64:8) is salvation.  The promise continues.

Eze 36:28  And ye shall dwell in the land that I gave to your fathers; and ye shall be my people, and I will be your God.

Eze 36:29  I will also save you from all your uncleannesses: and I will call for the corn, and will increase it, and lay no famine upon you.

The Lord cleans us up and He brings forth the crops and the fruit, the righteousness and no longer has us in darkness, the famine of the word is over.

Eze 36:30  And I will multiply the fruit of the tree, and the increase of the field, that ye shall receive no more reproach of famine among the heathen.

Eze 36:31  Then shall ye remember your own evil ways, and your doings that were not good, and shall lothe yourselves in your own sight for your iniquities and for your abominations.

Eze 36:32  Not for your sakes do I this, saith the Lord GOD, be it known unto you: be ashamed and confounded for your own ways, O house of Israel.

Eze 36:33  Thus saith the Lord GOD; In the day that I shall have cleansed you from all your iniquities I will also cause you to dwell in the cities, and the wastes shall be builded.

Eze 36:34  And the desolate land shall be tilled, whereas it lay desolate in the sight of all that passed by.

Eze 36:35  And they shall say, This land that was desolate is become like the garden of Eden; and the waste and desolate and ruined cities are become fenced, and are inhabited.

Eze 36:36  Then the heathen that are left round about you shall know that I the LORD build the ruined places, and plant that that was desolate: I the LORD have spoken it, and I will do it.

Eze 36:37  Thus saith the Lord GOD; I will yet for this be enquired of by the house of Israel, to do it for them; I will increase them with men like a flock.

But I hope you are beginning to see the depth of the lies we all first believe.  We must have all that darkness washed out by the fire of the truth and replaced and that takes time. It starts by being given the ability to see that all men are to be saved.  That is the MILK one must grow on and if you don’t see that, then you will remain in darkness and be a victim as the Lord says here.

Mat 6:23  But if thine eye be evil, thy whole body shall be full of darkness. If therefore the light that is in thee be darkness, how great is that darkness!

So getting back to your initial question of the gospel differences.  I need to make it perfectly clear that all those variations of what Christ said are true.  The SUM is the truth and we need to search out the sum because that is where the treasure lies if we are one of the Lord’s priest and kings.

Pro 25:2 It is the glory of God to conceal a thing: but the honour of kings is to search out a matter.

Let me explain this is greater detail and show you an example.  For example, the whole of the Bible goes on to give us great detail of what Genesis 1 tell us.

Gen 1:2  And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.

Gen 1:3  And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.

This is not just speaking of the outward physical earth, it is speaking to and about God’s Elect.  We are the earth, heaven is our heart and mind,  the kingdom of God is WITHIN you.

Luk 17:20  And when he was demanded of the Pharisees, when the kingdom of God should come, he answered them and said, The kingdom of God cometh not with observation:

Luk 17:21  Neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, the kingdom of God is within you.

The rest of the Bible tells us the details of how the Lord does this.  Our entire life, our entire walk is ordained before there were any days.

Psa 139:16 Thine eyes did see my substance, yet being unperfect; and in thy book all my members were written, which in continuance were fashioned, when as yet there was none of them.

Isa 46:10 Declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times the things that are not yet done, saying, My counsel shall stand, and I will do all my pleasure:

Here is a new testament witness to the same.

Eph 1:4 According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love:
Eph 1:5 Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will,

We just need to live them out and the end of the matter is the light being called out of the darkness as we are remade into he image of the Son. But that is a process and takes us living through all the events, every word the Lord has spoken.

Isaiah and Jeremiah and the rest of the prophets were not speaking to the physical earth or the blue sky above.

Jer 22:29  O earth, earth, earth, hear the word of the LORD.

Isa 1:2  Hear, O heavens, and give ear, O earth: for the LORD hath spoken, I have nourished and brought up children, and they have rebelled against me.

So light being called out of darkness is the whole process of the Lord remaking us.  A day comes when He says let there be light IN US and then there is light and that light begins the process of remaking us into the son of God via the process of JUDGMENT.  All things get remade, believe it

Rev 21:5  And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful.

So with regards to what Jesus is recorded as saying.  These are words you and me will speak also.  We will first cry out to the Lord when all this affliction comes upon us and ask “why have you forsaken me”.  But we know the answer as the SUM of Scripture tells us why.

Isa 54:7  For a small moment have I forsaken thee; but with great mercies will I gather thee.

So Jesus said elsewhere I will never leave you or forsake you.

Heb 13:5  Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.

So which is true?  They both are true, the SUM is true.  We will be forsaken, our old man will be forsaken for a little while as the Lord brings judgment to us to destroy our carnal mind and lustful ways in remaking all things.  But the new man will not be forsaken as this is the Lord’s way in bringing salvation.  How do we enter the kingdom of God that is WITHIN us?  We don’t have to speculate.

Act 14:22  Confirming the souls of the disciples, and exhorting them to continue in the faith, and that we must through much tribulation enter into the kingdom of God.

Isa 48:10  Behold, I have refined thee, but not with silver; I have chosen thee in the furnace of affliction.

Jesus says it is finished in another gospel.  These gospels do not tell us everything that happened or every single event but they are what the Lord has ordained be recorded and written down for our comfort and edification. The last verse in John tells us this.

Joh 21:25  And there are also many other things which Jesus did, the which, if they should be written every one, I suppose that even the world itself could not contain the books that should be written. Amen.

So we too, when Christ is formed in us will one day know when we have been delivered from the bondage of our carnal life and flesh (i.e. salvation) and we too will know we have finished our work, we have run our race to the end.  Paul said as much and we will to at the end of our physical life (if we are God’s Elect and judged in this life).

2Ti 4:6  For I am now ready to be offered, and the time of my departure is at hand.

2Ti 4:7  I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith:

2Ti 4:8  Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.

Contrast this truth with the one that says nobody has arrived and we need to continually press onward and upward for the high calling of God.

Php 3:12  Not as though I had already attained, either were already perfect: but I follow after, if that I may apprehend that for which also I am apprehended of Christ Jesus.

Php 3:13  Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before,

Php 3:14  I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.

So all these scriptures that on the surface seem contradictory are true.  But the truth is discerned by taking ALL or the SUM of them.

“Into your hands I commend my Spirit” are words you too will live by as every man will.  We will enter into the rest that remains for the people of God when our old man is dead, when we cease from our own works and know in the deepest part of our heart and mind that everything we do and have done, good or bad, evil or obedience, is all the work of the Lord in us. That is the true Sabbath coming to know this truth and obeying that truth.

Heb 4:9  There remaineth therefore a rest to the people of God.

Heb 4:10  For he that is entered into his rest, he also hath ceased from his own works, as God did from his.

Act 17:28  For in him we live, and move, and have our being; as certain also of your own poets have said, For we are also his offspring.

Php 2:13 For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure.

Hope this is helpful.  One of the keys to the kingdom is understanding and being able to apply the SUM is the truth.  Another is to know there are two sides to the sword, light and darkness.  Every word is both a positive meaning and a negative meaning.  Knowing that every story of the Bible is about the old man and the new man (the two witnesses) is a monumental piece of wisdom.

Psa 10:17 LORD, thou hast heard the desire of the humble: thou wilt prepare their heart, thou wilt cause thine ear to hear:

Pro 1:23 Turn you at my reproof: behold, I will pour out my spirit unto you, I will make known my words unto you.

Mat 13:9 Who hath ears to hear, let him hear.

Hope this helps and gives you some meat to chew on.  I will pray for the Lord to show you and quicken the truth to your spirit.

Your brother in Christ,  PETE
