How God Delivers On His Covenant Promises

Contrary to the teachings of the churches and the carnal doctrines believed by all but a very few, God does not need anything from man to make good on His promises. Nothing.

Act 17:25 Neither is worshipped with men’s hands, as though he needed any thing, seeing he giveth to all life, and breath, and all things

This is because God is working ALL THINGS in our lives. I had a busy day today, wrestling with beasts and contending with religious spirits that stand in opposition to Christ and His doctrine. I wanted to remind and encourage all that still doubt the sovereignty of God to review the promises of the New Covenant and remember how God made covenant with Abraham.

Heb 6:13-14 For when God made promise to Abraham, because he could swear by no greater, he sware by himself, Saying, Surely blessing I will bless thee, and multiplying I will multiply thee.

The Abrahamic covenant is the covenant of faith and is the one God swore on an oath to fulfill and will bring to pass. This quite simply is the salvation of all men. But all of us will walk in unbelief not believing nor understanding this covenant promise that God swore by.  We will think it is up to us to take actions to save ourselves.  The salvation of all men, the very essence of the good news and the promises of God is foretold to us in many places and the first of those are shown below.

Gen 12:3 And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed.

Gen 28:14 And thy seed shall be as the dust of the earth, and thou shalt spread abroad to the west, and to the east, and to the north, and to the south: and in thee and in thy seed shall all the families of the earth be blessed.

Any time you see a reference to the dust of the earth, God is speaking about ALL MEN.  Few shall be saved in this life, God’s very Elect but in the end,  all men shall be saved and their numbers shall be as the dust of the earth, the stars of the heavens and the sands of the sea.  These symbols foretell God’s purposes and His plans to save all men in the appointed times for each.  Here are just a few more of the hundreds of witnesses for the salvation of all men.  May those with ears hear these wonderful truths.

Gen 13:16 And I will make thy seed as the dust of the earth: so that if a man can number the dust of the earth, then shall thy seed also be numbered.

Hos 1:10 Yet the number of the children of Israel shall be as the sand of the sea, which cannot be measured nor numbered; and it shall come to pass, that in the place where it was said unto them, Ye are not my people, there it shall be said unto them, Ye are the sons of the living God.

Gen 15:5 And he brought him forth abroad, and said, Look now toward heaven, and tell the stars, if thou be able to number them: and he said unto him, So shall thy seed be.

The truth is right here.  All shall be sons of the living God in the end.  We cannot count the stars, the sand, the dust,  this is God telling those given ears to hear that all men shall be saved.  The salvation of all men in God’s appointed time is the blessing that shall come, not might come to all the families and nations of the earth. God swore this on an oath and He is not a man that He should lie.

Num 23:19  God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?

God will make good on His promises to save all men.  That is the gospel of good news and it depends not upon man’s free will.

If we go review the promise of the new covenant, which is really the fulfillment of the promise made to Abram, it might surprise some to see that there is no YOU involved in making any of it come to pass. All things are of God and it is especially true that salvation is all of the Lord.

Jon 2:9 Salvation is of the LORD.

This fact that the delivery on the promise of the new covenant is 100% of God and 0% man is seen on both Jeremiah and Ezekiel version of the promise. Let’s take a quick look at each.
Jer 31:31 Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah:
Jer 31:32 Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt; which my covenant they brake, although I was an husband unto them, saith the LORD:
Jer 31:33 But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; After those days, saith the LORD, I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their God, and they shall be my people.
Jer 31:34 And they shall teach no more every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the LORD: for they shall all know me, from the least of them unto the greatest of them, saith the LORD: for I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more.

There is no YOU DO ANYTHING here in Jeremiah, it is all I WILL says the Lord. The Lord does it all, He works in each of us according to His will to accomplish all of His good pleasure. This should be no surprise because that is what Paul repeated many times in his epistles to the early church.

Eph 1:11 In whom also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestinated according to the purpose of him who worketh all things after the counsel of his own will

Now let’s take a look at what the prophet Ezekiel was given by God to speak.

Eze 36:22 Therefore say unto the house of Israel, Thus saith the Lord GOD; I do not this for your sakes, O house of Israel, but for mine holy name’s sake, which ye have profaned among the heathen, whither ye went.
Eze 36:23 And I will sanctify my great name, which was profaned among the heathen, which ye have profaned in the midst of them; and the heathen shall know that I am the LORD, saith the Lord GOD, when I shall be sanctified in you before their eyes.
Eze 36:24 For I will take you from among the heathen, and gather you out of all countries, and will bring you into your own land.
Eze 36:25 Then will I sprinkle clean water upon you, and ye shall be clean: from all your filthiness, and from all your idols, will I cleanse you.
Eze 36:26 A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh.
Eze 36:27 And I will put my spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes, and ye shall keep my judgments, and do them.
Eze 36:28 And ye shall dwell in the land that I gave to your fathers; and ye shall be my people, and I will be your God.
Eze 36:29 I will also save you from all your uncleannesses: and I will call for the corn, and will increase it, and lay no famine upon you.
Eze 36:30 And I will multiply the fruit of the tree, and the increase of the field, that ye shall receive no more reproach of famine among the heathen.

IT IS ALL OF GOD – GOD DOES IT ALL

What perfect consistency. There is no YOU WILL any of this.  NONE.   God is doing it all. All the things essential for salvation are the work of God. The giving of faith, the granting of repentance, the filling with an earnest deposit of the Holy Spirit, all things are of God. None of it is the work of man. Our job is to believe and even that is given to us by God.

Joh 6:65 And he said, Therefore said I unto you, that no man can come unto me, except it were given unto him of my Father.

God even tells us why He does it here in Ezekiel 36:22.   The word says He does it to sanctify His great name. Nothing delights the Lord more than to show mercy, He delights in mercy and it is only by His mercy that He reveals Himself to us and brings salvation upon our house.

Nothing brings more glory to God than to turn all of His enemies into His friends and that is exactly what God is going to do.

Psa 66:1 To the chief Musician, A Song or Psalm. Make a joyful noise unto God, all ye lands:

Psa 66:2 Sing forth the honour of his name: make his praise glorious.
Psa 66:3 Say unto God, How terrible art thou in thy works! through the greatness of thy power shall thine enemies submit themselves unto thee.
Psa 66:4 All the earth shall worship thee, and shall sing unto thee; they shall sing to thy name. Selah.

This is all the work of a great God who created us flawed on purpose to teach us and to remake us and to bring great honor for His namesake. Christ is the Savior and it is HIM doing all of it. He gave us the wicked deceitful hearts all men are born with and only He will change those hearts when the day and hour ordained for us to be changed arrives. Oh praise God for His goodness and His mercies which endure forever.

Php 2:13 For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure.

We can take the promises of God to the bank.  God is faithful even when we are not. All men shall be saved which means delivered of their sins and washed clean. Even right now Christ is seated in the heavens and is not imputing our sins and trespasses against us. He is working all those things to bring about His good and perfect will in our lives in the times ordained of the Father. This is the good news and it becomes real to us only when we are granted the faith to believe it.   If only men would trust in God and not in their delusion of free will and their own strength, initiative and carnal understanding.

Isa 26:4  Trust ye in the LORD for ever: for in the LORD JEHOVAH is everlasting strength:

Yet all of us will at first deny the Lord and will lean on our own understanding and think it is about us choosing and doing all these things to save ourselves.  But that is not the way of God. He is the Savior and the Deliverer and His arm is not too short to save all men.  He has declared that from the beginning and He will bring it to pass.  Far greater blessing to believe that now and trust in HIM.

Heb 8:10 For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, saith the Lord; I will put my laws into their mind, and write them in their hearts: and I will be to them a God, and they shall be to me a people:
Heb 8:11 And they shall not teach every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the Lord: for all shall know me, from the least to the greatest.
Heb 8:12 For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their iniquities will I remember no more.
Heb 8:13 In that he saith, A new covenant, he hath made the first old. Now that which decayeth and waxeth old is ready to vanish away.

The days are coming and now are that the dead are hearing the voice of Christ and are awakening to the righteousness that is found only by faith in this good news. I hope you will join me in believing this report.

Isa 53:1 Who hath believed our report? and to whom is the arm of the LORD revealed?

The circumcision of all men will happen.  It will be accomplished without hands and flesh and the free will of man will have no part in bringing it to pass.  Until we are brought to the place to believe this we will continue to oppose the true work of God.

Col 2:11 In whom also ye are circumcised with the circumcision made without hands, in putting off the body of the sins of the flesh by the circumcision of Christ:
