What is Grace?

Definition:  The grace of God that brings salvation is the mercy of God poured out upon men but not in the way we have been taught in the Babylon churches of men.  Grace indeed is God’s loving favor toward’s those He loves which is all men but especially for His chosen Elect that He calls the Apple of His eye. A key function of grace is to teach and discipline us to understand the ways of God.  Grace accomplishes this (his loving favor) thru teaching and discipline which is the chastening of the Lord.   A most important aspect of grace is that it is actually the scourging and fiery trials and judgments  — God’s wrath being poured out upon us.  This is the chastening of the Lord which is how we learn righteousness and over time are given dominion over sin which is salvation.

Grace includes the righteous judgment of God that destroys our old man and carnal lusts and teaches us to obey God.  While grace has appeared to all men (God is working all things in everyone’s life), only God’s Elect will be given to know His ways and understand God’s purposes in the fiery trials and scourging judgments poured out upon us.

Tit 2:11  For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men,

Tit 2:12  Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world

The grace of God is the favor the Lord gives to us as His Elect.  He comes and stirs up our hearts, puts the zeal for His word and His house into our hearts and keeps our minds focused on things above.  The grace of God is the working of God in our lives and remember everything we do is the work of His hand, not one thing excepted.

Isa 64:8 But now, O LORD, thou art our father; we are the clay, and thou our potter; and we all are the work of thy hand.

Act 11:23 Who, when he came, and had seen the grace of God, was glad, and exhorted them all, that with purpose of heart they would cleave unto the Lord.

1Co_15:10 But by the grace of God I am what I am: and his grace which was bestowed upon me was not in vain; but I laboured more abundantly than they all: yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me.

What Grace IS NOT:  Grace is not a get out judgment free card or God simply turning away from our sins and ungodliness.   DO NOT BE DECEIVED.

All of the key tenants of truth tie together, THE SCRIPTURES cannot be broken; so knowing what SALVATION means is as important as knowing what GRACE is.  In all cases we learn the wrong definitions in the apostate churches of men first.  Grace is the unmerited of favor of God, His Mercy, yet it manifests through the destruction of our carnal man and lusts of the flesh.   Grace is absolutely not the idea (“sleazy grace”) that we can sin without consequence and when He looks at us, God sees the righteousness of Jesus.  That is utter carnal nonsense that contradicts scores of Scriptures.

We indeed reap what we sow and that is how we learn the things of God and is also how men learn in the physical world.

Gal 6:7  Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.

Gal 6:8  For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting.

2Co 5:10  For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad.

Yet the whole world lies in darkness except for God’s very Elect who are ushered into the light via the process of judgment.

1Pe 4:17  For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God?

Isa 1:27 Zion shall be redeemed with judgment, and her converts with righteousness.

Exo 6:6 Wherefore say unto the children of Israel, I am the LORD, and I will bring you out from under the burdens of the Egyptians, and I will rid you out of their bondage, and I will redeem you with a stretched out arm, and with great judgments

Grace is akin to the love and discipline of our physical fathers in raising us up to be good citizens and learn right and wrong.

Heb 12:6 For whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth, and scourgeth every son whom he receiveth.

Heb 12:7 If ye endure chastening, God dealeth with you as with sons; for what son is he whom the father chasteneth not?

Heb 12:8 But if ye be without chastisement, whereof all are partakers, then are ye bastards, and not sons.

Heb 12:9 Furthermore we have had fathers of our flesh which corrected us, and we gave them reverence: shall we not much rather be in subjection unto the Father of spirits, and live?

Grace is the vehicle by which we are taught righteousness.    We learn righteousness when we go thru the process of being judged and having our old man scourged.  That is true grace.

Isa 26:9 With my soul have I desired thee in the night; yea, with my spirit within me will I seek thee early: for when thy judgments are in the earth, the inhabitants of the world will learn righteousness.

Heb 12:10 For they verily for a few days chastened us after their own pleasure; but he for our profit, that we might be partakers of his holiness.

The will of God is always done without fail.  When our time for judgment arrives, nobody is going to out sin the grace of God.  The grace of God is going to always accomplish its purpose through the WORD that judges us.

Rom 5:20 Moreover the law entered, that the offence might abound. But where sin abounded, grace did much more abound:

And so the promise of the New Covenant, that comes first to God’s Elect in each generation and will come to all men in the lake of fire is that they will be changed.  They will be remade into a new creation and all sin and inequity will be purged from their bodies, hearts and minds.  This is all the work of the Lord, it is salvation and it comes through the chastening of God which is HIS GRACE.  This is how we will be caused to obey Him and converted to His ways.

Eze 36:27 And I will put my spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes, and ye shall keep my judgments, and do them.

Psa 23:2He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters.

The way we enter into the temple which is Christ is by having the wrath of God fulfilled in our life.  That is salvation by grace.

Rev 15:8 And the temple was filled with smoke from the glory of God, and from his power; and no man was able to enter into the temple, till the seven plagues of the seven angels were fulfilled (in our lives)

So yes indeed we are saved by grace through faith.  And that faith is given to us, it is not our own faith and when we do believe, the word of the Lord will work its work in our lives and we will be sanctified.

Eph 2:8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that (the faith) not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
Eph 2:9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.

The mercy of the Lord is in fact the trials of life and tests of faith,  IE THE JUDGMENT of our old man that comes first to God’s very Elect in this age.

1Pe 4:17 For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: (HIS ELECT) and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God?

When this happens, we will have been delivered of the strong delusion of free will and we will know that the Lord did it all and we had nothing to do with our own salvation.

Php 2:13 For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure.

I hope you now see what grace truly is and how it is used by the Lord to remake us by the process of judgment.  It is a good thing as is judgment. We are saved by grace.

Psa 119:71  It is good for me that I have been afflicted; that I might learn thy statutes.

If we are so chosen of God,  as part of Christ and like our Lord; the grace of God will be upon on us and we will wax strong in the spirit and be filled with the wisdom of God and be given the mind of Christ.

Luk_2:40 And the child grew, and waxed strong in spirit, filled with wisdom: and the grace of God was upon him.
