God’s Elect need to have communion with one another often. This is the true communion and what Christ meant spiritually when He said this.
Mat 26:26 And as they were eating, Jesus took bread, and blessed it, and brake it, and gave it to the disciples, and said, Take, eat; this is my body.
Mat 26:27 And he took the cup, and gave thanks, and gave it to them, saying, Drink ye all of it;
Mat 26:28 For this is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins.
Christ also spoke on this topic thru His chosen Apostle Paul.
1Co 10:16 The cup of blessing which we bless, is it not the communion of the blood of Christ? The bread which we break, is it not the communion of the body of Christ?
1Co 10:17 For we being many are one bread, and one body: for we are all partakers of that one bread.
Jesus Christ is His word, they are inseparable and He is the bread of spiritual life. We must eat of this bread often. Speaking on and sharing the WORD OF GOD is having communion, the real kind Christ intended. The carnal ritual of eating a piece of bread does nothing to change hearts or purify the walk of Christ’s disciples. Far more important to be engaged with the saints, having communion, hearing and discussing the words of Christ, that is the true bread from heaven that satisfied.
Partaking of this bread, which is Christ’s body and drinking of His cup of judgment, is how we die daily and follow our Lord on the narrow path. This of course is speaking about abiding in HIS WORD which determines who is a disciple INDEED.
Joh 8:31 Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed
This is why it is so very important that the brethren dwell together as often as possible. This is the true communion of the saints and what will strengthen and edify us and build our faith Lord willing.
1Co 11:24 And when he had given thanks, he brake it, and said, Take, eat: this is my body, which is broken for you: this do in remembrance of me.
1Co 11:25 After the same manner also he took the cup, when he had supped, saying, This cup is the new testament in my blood: this do ye, as oft as ye drink it, in remembrance of me.
1Co 11:26 For as often as ye eat this bread, and drink this cup, ye do shew the Lord’s death till he come.
This is dying daily, eating this bread and drinking of this cup. The Lord has brought a few of us together spiritually. We share and have the mind of Christ given to us by the ONE SPIRIT. We must judge all things and this is how we wash the feet of our brothers and sisters and in turn get our feet washed which refers to our walk, how we are living our lives for Christ.
1Co 2:15 But he that is spiritual judgeth all things, yet he himself is judged of no man.
1Co 2:16 For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? But we have the mind of Christ.
Joh 13:14 If I then, your Lord and Master, have washed your feet; ye also ought to wash one another’s feet.
Joh 13:15 For I have given you an example, that ye should do as I have done to you.
Joh 13:16 Verily, verily, I say unto you, The servant is not greater than his lord; neither he that is sent greater than he that sent him.
Joh 13:17 If ye know these things, happy are ye if ye do them.
What very few will understand is that is thru our fellowship with the BODY OF Christ that we are cleansed from all sin. This is what the washing of feet is all about. We must be engaged with the BODY OF CHRIST, that is walking in the light and having fellowship with one another.
1Jn 1:7 But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.
It is the suffering of our fellow brethren, THE BODY OF CHRIST, and are partaking of that with them as fellow servants that we are cleansed of all sin. This is a great mystery that those in babylon cannot understand nor appreciate. Here is the blood of “Christ” continually being shed for the sake of the church.
Col 1:24 Who now rejoice in my sufferings for you, and fill up that which is behind of the afflictions of Christ in my flesh for his body’s sake, which is the church:
We need each other, God has designed it that way. It is easy to allow ourselves to be isolated from one another if we do not take heed. Of course all of this is the Lord’s work in us and there is a season and time for everything. But I am here to admonish the brethren to earnestly seek fellowship and do not fall victim to the adversary who is out to isolate us when we become easy prey. We must learn to cast our cares upon CHRIST, His very Body.
1Pe 5:7 Casting all your care upon him(THE BODY); for he careth for you.
1Pe 5:8 Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:
Don’t let the fact we are few and very scattered to dissuade one from seeking fellowship. The Lord has given us wireless devices, the Internet, Skype, Webinar, airplanes and cars such that meeting others in the clay or talking live to one another is very doable no matter where we live.
Mal 3:16 Then they that feared the LORD spake often one to another: and the LORD hearkened, and heard it, and a book of remembrance was written before him for them that feared the LORD, and that thought upon his name.
When we truly grow in the faith and begin to grasp the fullness of the blessing given to us and knowing who is Christ, then our entire life purpose is changed. The old life is slowly taken from us, initially begrudgingly but as we grow in the faith, we count it all joy when the Lord tears down those walls of flesh and worldliness that have been holding us back.
Mat 16:25 For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: and whosoever will lose his life for my sake shall find it.
In Spirit, in down payment form, we ARE COME to Mt. Zion and the city of God, right here and right now. We are come to the company of God’s very angels (messengers) which are God’s Elect.
Heb 12:22 But ye are come unto mount Sion, and unto the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to an innumerablecompany of angels,
The Lord has seen fit to bring us into the assembly of HIS VERY CHURCH, the firstfruits of salvation and those that are being made into the image of the Son.
Heb 12:23 To the general assembly and church of the firstborn, which are written in heaven, and to God the Judge of all, and to the spirits of just men made perfect,
We are just men being made perfect by the gift of faith and the righteousness of Jesus Christ. It is THE CHRIST, the BODY that is the mediator of the new covenant and speaks the words of fire that bring salvation.
Heb 12:24 And to Jesus the mediator of the new covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling, that speaketh better things than that of Abel.
We are warned not to refuse these words and this company. We are not to neglect such a great salvation.
Heb 12:25 See that ye refuse not him that speaketh. For if they escaped not who refused him that spake on earth, much more shall not we escape, if we turn away from him that speaketh from heaven:
We can’t run from the Lord. His will of saving all men will come to pass. Yet we should earnestly desire to do all we can to strive to attain to that blessed and first Holy Resurrection and be counted worthy among the very few to be the judges and rulers of this world for Christ.
Php 3:13 Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before,
Php 3:14 I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.
The adversary will try to keep us away from the assembly. Lying spirits will tells us we are not worthy, we are not good enough, we have too much sin in our life, God could not have possibly chosen you, lies, lies, lies. But remember God did not choose those the world would think He chooses, He chose the sick, the lame, those most in need of repentance and the chief of sinners. This confounds the wisdom of our carnal minds, but is the truth.
1Co 1:25 Because the foolishness of God is wiser than men; and the weakness of God is stronger than men.
1Co 1:26 For ye see your calling, brethren, how that not many wise men after the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble, are called:
1Co 1:27 But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty;
It is the self righteous in Babylon who have no need for Christ. They have already arrived and of course this is all of us as in time we live by every word. However, when our time comes and the Lord brings judgment upon us, none of us can resist His will, WE HAVE NO CHOICE IN THE MATTER OF SALVATION. He comes for the sick and the lame and they will be dragged to Him.
Luk 5:32 I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.
Mar 2:17 When Jesus heard it, he saith unto them, They that are whole have no need of the physician, but they that are sick: I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.
Joh 6:44 No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me drag him: and I will raise him up at the last day.
Brethren, hold fast your faith and DO NOT WAIVER. Do not let the adversary devour you. Come together in fellowship, do not stay isolated, the BODY needs you and your contributions to the lives of others and you need your feet washed and they are not washed if you are not connected. Take heed this warning.
Heb 10:23 Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;)
Heb 10:24 And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works:
Heb 10:25 Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.
Heb 10:26 For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins,
Heb 10:27 But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries.
This is written with love to the brethren. I myself have held back from fellowship despite knowing the wonderful blessing of faith and knowledge of Christ that has been given to me and so precious few others. I pray the Lord will make a way for me to discard the dung from my natural life and provide me more time to engage with the brethren.
If you hear and understand what I am saying on this blog and are not in fervent fellowship. Please send me an email as I would like to speak with you.
Your Brother In Christ, Pete
