“The God of Dan and Way of Beersheba”

Key Verses:  Amos 8:12 – 8:14

We spoke last time about the famine of the Word and the period of darkness we must endure (Mat 4:4. 1Co 3:21) in being drowned by the lusts of our flesh (the River of Egypt) before the Lord comes with vengeance to save us from our sins.  We have to come to our wits end by being overcome by our beast (Rev 11:7).  It is only from that place of total humility that the Lord rises up within us and delivers us from the belly of the beast.

Jon 2:1  Then Jonah prayed unto the LORD his God out of the fish’s belly,

Jon 2:2  And said, I cried by reason of mine affliction unto the LORD, and he heard me; out of the belly of hell cried I, and thou heardest my voice.

This time of trouble and great tribulation in our heavens is the sign we know the Lord is working righteousness in us.  Here in lies our patience in waiting on Him to come within.

Mat 12:39  But he answered and said unto them, An evil and adulterous generation seeketh after a sign; and there shall no sign be given to it, but the sign of the prophet Jonas:

Mat 12:40  For as Jonas was three days and three nights in the whale’s belly; so shall the Son of man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth.

I will read the last four verses of chapter 8 to regather the context of what is happening in the Kingdom of God and conclude the vision of judgment regarding the summer fruits (Amo 8:2).

Amo 8:11 Behold, the days come, saith the Lord GOD, that I will send a famine in the land, not a famine of bread, nor a thirst for water, but of hearing the words of the LORD:

Amo 8:12 And they shall wander from sea to sea, and from the north even to the east, they shall run to and fro to seek the word of the LORD, and shall not find it.

Amo 8:13 In that day shall the fair virgins and young men faint for thirst.

Amo 8:14 They that swear by the sin of Samaria, and say, Thy god, O Dan, liveth; and, The manner of Beersheba liveth; even they shall fall, and never rise up again.

In our immaturity, we are still wandering from one carnal thought to the next (sea to sea) and going back to the elementary principles of the Lord we first learned.  This is what wandering from the north (direction of judgment) to the east refers to.  Yet our ability to digest the strong meat of the Word that brings eternal life (Joh 6:53) and move on to maturity and the revealing of Jesus Christ within us, is not found in the east.  It is only found when we are given to trust the Lord and follow the Son westward.

Mat 24:27  For as the lightning cometh out of the east, and shineth even unto the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.

Isa 43:5 Fear not: for I am with thee: I will bring thy seed from the east, and gather thee from the west;

We learn good and evil by moving on westward in the spiritual land within us, enduring the affliction of judgment that is sanctifying us.

Heb 5:14  But strong meat belongeth to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.

The sun moves from east to west and so do we in the spirit if we follow Jesus Christ.

Mar 10:21  Then Jesus beholding him loved him, and said unto him, One thing thou lackest: go thy way, sell whatsoever thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come, take up the cross, and follow me.

When we return to the east and don’t follow the Lord west, we will not find what we seek.

Rev 9:6  And in those days shall men seek death, and shall not find it; and shall desire to die, and death shall flee from them.

Pro 1:24  Because I have called, and ye refused; I have stretched out my hand, and no man regarded;
Pro 1:25  But ye have set at nought all my counsel, and would none of my reproof:
Pro 1:26  I also will laugh at your calamity; I will mock when your fear cometh;
Pro 1:27  When your fear cometh as desolation, and your destruction cometh as a whirlwind; when distress and anguish cometh upon you.
Pro 1:28  Then shall they call upon me, but I will not answer; they shall seek me early, but they shall not find me:

It is the new man who is learning patience and trust in the Lord.  It is the new man who is enduring through the famine as the old man is being set up for destruction.

Amo 8:13 In that day shall the fair virgins and young men faint for thirst.

The fair or beautiful virgins are God’s Elect who the Lord remembers their sins no more.

Heb 8:12 For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their iniquities will I remember no more.

Rom 4:17 (As it is written, I have made thee a father of many nations,) before him whom he believed, even God, who quickeneth the dead, and calleth those things which be not as though they were.

The young men [H970] are the “chosen ones” who are being taught to lean not on their own understanding but trust only in the Lord.

Psa 78:31  The wrath of God came upon them, and slew the fattest of them, and smote down the chosen [H970] men of Israel.

Psa 78:32  For all this they sinned still, and believed not for his wondrous works.

Psa 78:33  Therefore their days did he consume in vanity, and their years in trouble.

Our Lord spake a parable unto us about the day of judgment.

Luk 18:1  And he spake a parable unto them to this end, that men ought always to pray, and not to faint;

When the Lord “finally” comes, will there be faith on our earth?  We need to wait and trust in the Lord to deliver His promises.  We learn this by enduring through these experiences of evil, waiting on the judge.

Luk 18:7  And shall not God avenge his own elect, which cry day and night unto him, though he bear long with them?

Luk 18:8  I tell you that he will avenge them speedily. Nevertheless when the Son of man cometh, shall he find faith on the earth?

The wrath of God is being revealed against all of our ungodliness in the day of the Lord (Rom 1:18).  We as the first to be judged are the fools that profess to be wise but are still trusting in the idols of Samaria and worship the creature (the beast) and not the Lord.

Rom 1:22  Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools,
Rom 1:23  And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things.
Rom 1:24  Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves:
Rom 1:25  Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen.

When judgment is on our house (1Pe 4:17) then we live through this being overwhelmed by the river of Egypt (Amo 8:8) and be turned over to the lusts of our flesh for a season that is as long as needed to humble us and teach us the fear of the Lord.

Rom 1:26  For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature:
Rom 1:28  And even as they did not like to retain God in (their) knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;
Rom 1:29  Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers,
Rom 1:30  Backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents,
Rom 1:31  Without understanding, covenant breakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful:

This is not those evil homosexual people over there.  These are words of fire spoken foremost against us, the Elect of God upon whom judgment has fallen.  We are the man of sin (2Sa 12:7), trusting in ourselves and our own understanding and thereby committing homosexuality and spiritual fornication with other gods.

Rom 2:1  Therefore thou art inexcusable, O man, whosoever thou art that judgest: for wherein thou judgest another, thou condemnest thyself; for thou that judgest doest the same things.

We are these fair virgins and young men (immature in Christ) that are not yet given to overcome.  We come thru the fire that is, was and will be coming unto the land that is the kingdom of God within (Luk 17:20-21).

2Co 11:2  For I am jealous over you with godly jealousy: for I have espoused you to one husband, that I may present you as a chaste virgin to Christ.

Rev 14:4  These are they which were not defiled with women; for they are virgins. These are they which follow the Lamb whithersoever he goeth. These were redeemed from among men, being the firstfruits unto God and to the Lamb.

Our last verse is pivotal in that it speaks of the deep mysteries of salvation that so precious few are given to understand in this age (1Co 2:7, Mat 13:10).

Amo 8:14 They that swear by the sin of Samaria, and say, Thy god, O Dan, liveth; and, The manner of Beersheba liveth; even they shall fall, and never rise up again.

This is Sin of Samaria is the not being separated from the world and being unfaithful to our husband Jesus Christ by worshipping other gods.  This is the transgression of Jacob as we know the truth but walk according to the gods of this world and worship (bow) to the image (thoughts and beliefs) of our beast.

Mic 1:5  For the transgression of Jacob is all this, and for the sins of the house of Israel. What is the transgression of Jacob? is it not Samaria? and what are the high places of Judah? are they not Jerusalem?

These gods are no gods are at all but the idols of our hearts and the image of our beasts we set up thinking the narrow way is all about knowledge and not in the doing.

Gal 4:8 But then, indeed, when you did not know God, you served those which by nature are not gods

Jer 23:13  And I have seen folly in the prophets of Samaria; they prophesied in Baal, and caused my people Israel to err.

Jer 7:8 Behold, ye trust in lying words, that cannot profit.

Jer 7:9 Will ye steal, murder, and commit adultery, and swear falsely, and burn incense unto Baal, and walk after other gods whom ye know not;

As the king, it is us, living out this idolatry (1Co 10:11) and swearing by the gods of this world is our continuing in the sin of Jeroboam #1 that all succeeding kings continued in.

2Ki 13:6 Nevertheless they did not depart from the sins of the house of Jeroboam, who had made Israel sin, but walked in them; and the wooden image also remained in Samaria.

John and all of the Elect see this beast and our worshiping its image as we look behind us in our day of judgment.

Rev 13:11 And I beheld another beast coming up out of the earth; and he had two horns like a lamb, and he spake as a dragon.
Rev 13:12 And he exerciseth all the power of the first beast before him, and causeth the earth and them which dwell therein to worship the first beast, whose deadly wound was healed.

The Corinthian fornicator is you and me at this stage before the Lord casts us out into outer darkness during the famine of hearing the words which is used to destroy the flesh (1Co 5:5).

1Co 5:1 It is reported commonly that there is fornication among you, and such fornication as is not so much as named among the Gentiles, that one should have his father’s wife.

Being of our father the devil, we are committing spiritual fornication (Joh 6:63) with our father’s wife. Having the truth and knowing the Lord is the one who works all things including righteousness within us, we are commanded to come out of her (Rev 18:4) and no longer commit this spiritual fornication and be partaker of her evil deeds.

Joh 8:41 Ye do the deeds of your father. Then said they to him, We be not born of fornication; we have one Father, even God.

Keeping ourselves pure and undefiled is the primary focus of those that walk by faith.

Act 15:20 But that we write unto them, that they abstain from pollutions of idols, and from fornication, and from things strangled, and from blood.

1Co 10:8 Neither let us commit fornication, as some of them committed, and fell in one day three and twenty thousand.

We are to separate from the world including the religious world that is of the harlot and committing fornication and following the gods of Samaria.

Mat 10:5 These twelve Jesus sent forth, and commanded them, saying, Go not into the way of the Gentiles, and into any city of the Samaritans enter ye not:

Death to the old man is coming by destruction of our flesh and carnal way of thinking.  Our trusting in our own righteousness to save us and period of keeping covenant with the flesh, keeping it alive, is coming to an end in this day as we are living every word of God.  The god of Dan and the way of life of Beersheba are being cut (spiritually circumcised) out of our lives by the hands of God (Col 2:11).  Dan in the north and Beersheba in the south define the boundaries of the yet carnal nation of physical Israel that is an example and shadow of words we are living out in this age.

The God of Dan Rises Not Again

Dan is the Hebrew word H1835 and it means to judge or to rule.  The tribe of Dan represent part of our maturing process and one of the foundational experiences we must live out in coming to the fullness of Christ being a mature man.  Dan was unable conquer much of its inheritance, due to their spiritual immaturity.

Jdg 18:1 In those days there was no king in Israel: and in those days the tribe of the Danites sought them an inheritance to dwell in; for unto that day all their inheritance had not fallen unto them among the tribes of Israel.

Impatient and discontent, the Danites, sought to make a name for themselves and trusted in the work of their own hands.  They found a city Laish that had idols and false prophets and they made that their home and put their name on it in disobedience to the commandments.

Jdg 18:29 And they called the name of the city Dan, after the name of Dan their father, who was born unto Israel: howbeit the name of the city was Laish at the first.

Jdg 18:30 And the children of Dan set up the graven image: and Jonathan, the son of Gershom, the son of Manasseh, he and his sons were priests to the tribe of Dan until the day of the captivity of the land.

The god of Dan was the god of themselves and worshiping the image of the beast.  It was in the city of Dan where Jeroboam put one of the two golden calves for the purpose of worship.  This is an OT version of Revelation 13 and our being deceived in our spiritual adultery and fornication.  Here we wander in spiritual darkness not hearing the commands and yet thinking we are serving the Lord in our idolatry.

1Ki 12:28 Whereupon the king (you and me) took counsel, and made two calves of gold, and said unto them, It is too much for you to go up to Jerusalem: behold thy gods, O Israel, which brought thee up out of the land of Egypt.

1Ki 12:29 And he set the one in Bethel, and the other put he in Dan.

1Ki 12:30 And this thing became a sin: for the people went to worship before the one, even unto Dan.

1Ki 12:31 And he made an house of high places, and made priests of the lowest of the people, which were not of the sons of Levi.

The Lord uses Dan within us to bring judgment to the land and teach us the patience of the saints.  Jacob’s prayer shows us what we befall Dan us in the last days which are now on the house of God.

Gen 49:16 Dan shall judge his people, as one of the tribes of Israel.

Gen 49:17 Dan shall be a serpent by the way, an adder in the path, that biteth the horse heels, so that his rider shall fall backward.

Gen 49:18 I have waited for thy salvation, O LORD.

As Danites we are obsessed with ourselves and trust in our own strength.  Even Samson was a Danite and like us, sees no reason to separate from the Philistines and instead intermarry (Jdg 14:3-4) with harlots.  Yet this self-righteous spirit and period in all of our maturation are being destroyed along with the image and the beast itself.  The god of Dan that is living within us is the harlotry and idolatry that we will be brought out of in our day of the Lord.

Rev 18:3 For all nations have drunk of the wine of the wrath of her fornication, and the kings of the earth have committed fornication with her, and the merchants of the earth are waxed rich through the abundance of her delicacies.

Rev 18:4 And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues.

The other specified item that is being destroyed and will not raise up again is what is called the way of Beersheba.

The manner or way of Beersheba

The word Beersheba [H884] means “well of seven” or “seven wells”.  The way of Beersheba is speaking about knowing Christ in the flesh and making a covenant with the flesh (the Philistines) to keep the old man alive and live in peace.  This is the false peace that will be shattered when the Lord is revealed from heaven and brings the fire.

Rom 1:18 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness;

It is the Elect who know and hold the truth but first hold it in unrighteousness (hearing not doing).  Beersheba is where Abraham made a covenant with Abimelech, the king of the Philistines (think our flesh) and sojourned many days at peace (Gen 21:31-34).  That is a shadow of the peace of Christ we find in the Body of Christ (The Israel of God) while we live out our lives in clay vessels.

Gen 21:32 Thus they made a covenant at Beersheba: then Abimelech rose up, and Phichol the chief captain of his host, and they returned into the land of the Philistines.

Gen 21:33 And Abraham planted a grove in Beersheba, and called there on the name of the LORD, the everlasting God.

Gen 21:34 And Abraham sojourned in the Philistines’ land many days.

Beersheba is also the place where Hagar miraculously sees a well of water that allows her and Ishmael to live (Gen 21:14-19).  We live through the first covenant and be in bondage, knowing Christ only in the flesh before we come to know Him in Spirit.

Gal 4:24 Which things are an allegory: for these are the two covenants; the one from the mount Sinai, which gendereth to bondage, which is Agar.

Gal 4:25 For this Agar is mount Sinai in Arabia, and answereth to Jerusalem which now is, and is in bondage with her children.

This Mount Sinai in our Arabia is us when we sit on the Lord’s throne being puffed up with pride and deluded to think we are already a mature man (having arrived).  We don’t know we are in darkness (Mat 6:23) and dwell in a dry and parched land (Famine) without the Spirit leading us.  The spiritual harlot which is “Jerusalem which is now” is driven to use the word to expand her borders and seek ungodly mammon and the things the flush lusts after.

Eze 16:15 But thou didst trust in thine own beauty, and playedst the harlot because of thy renown, and pouredst out thy fornications on every one that passed by; his it was.
Eze 16:16 And of thy garments thou didst take, and deckedst thy high places with divers colours, and playedst the harlot thereupon: the like things shall not come, neither shall it be so.

The trusting in ourselves and the strength of our flesh and our own carnal understanding will be cut off and shall never rise up again.  It is those that are being circumcised that will have no confidence in the flesh and are well past the delusion of free will that keeps the whole world in bondage and darkness.

Php 3:3 For we are the circumcision, which worship God in the spirit, and rejoice in Christ Jesus, and have no confidence in the flesh.

Next week Lord willing, we will begin the last of the visions and the last chapter of Amos that is teaching us about the judgment process that is saving us from our sins.

Amo 9:1  I saw the Lord standing upon the altar: and he said, Smite the lintel of the door, that the posts may shake: and cut them in the head, all of them; and I will slay the last of them with the sword: he that fleeth of them shall not flee away, and he that escapeth of them shall not be delivered.

Amo 9:2  Though they dig into hell, thence shall mine hand take them; though they climb up to heaven, thence will I bring them down:

Amo 9:3  And though they hide themselves in the top of Carmel, I will search and take them out thence; and though they be hid from my sight in the bottom of the sea, thence will I command the serpent, and he shall bite them:

FAQS, judgment

Leaving The “Eternal Judgment” vs The Day of Judgment

“The “Eternal Judgment” vs The Day of Judgement”

Studies by teachers combined into one study by Ronel.

What are the milk doctrines?

Heb 6:1 Therefore leaving the principles of the doctrine of Christ, let us go on unto perfection; not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works, and of faith toward God,

Heb 6:2 Of the doctrine of baptisms, and of laying on of hands, and of resurrection of the dead, and of eternal judgment.

These six milk doctrines are simply the beginning of our walk and not the end nor the result of the end of our walk. However, it is an extremely vital step in us to “beginning” and “progressing” towards the mark of the prize of the high calling in Christ Jesus. We are taught these doctrines in the orthodox churches of the world, all denominations.

We are told to go beyond the milk doctrines:

We are to begin to mature to the point where we are, as Paul was, in that we press towards the mark of the prize of the High Calling in Christ Jesus. There is a reason we must do this, and it is to obtain the righteousness of Christ, because anyone living on milk and not starting to digest solid food will quickly die.

Heb 5:12 For when for the time ye ought to be teachers, ye have need that one teach you again which be the first principles of the oracles of God; and are become such as have need of milk, and not of strong meat.

(NIV) Heb 5:13 Anyone who lives on milk, being still an infant, is not acquainted with the teaching about righteousness.

(NIV) Heb 5:14 But solid food is for the mature, who by constant use have trained themselves to distinguish good from evil.

We leave and move past those things which result in spiritual death but are the beginning of life to those who mature past them. The focus of today’s study specifically is moving past the doctrine of “eternal judgment” and maturing into the life which is Jesus Christ. As always, let’s leave the Scriptures to teach us and not go above that which is written on the subject. Let us also study to show ourselves approved, a workman not needing to be ashamed.

1Co 4:6 And these things, brethren, I have in a figure transferred to myself and [ to] Apollos for your sakes; that ye might learn in us not to think above that which is written, that no one of you be puffed up for one against another

2Ti 2:15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

Define “Eternal Judgment”, first, look at the word “eternal”:

ETERNAL – IS IT REALLY ETERNAL? Our modern English word eternal means WITHOUT a beginning and WITHOUT an end. In the Holy Scriptures, the Greek word is aionios and the corresponding Hebrew word is olam. The root for aionios is the noun aion. The English equivalent of the Greek word aion is eon or age. It is defined as a PERIOD OF TIME. A period of time has a BEGINNING, when the age began, a MIDDLE or DURING the age, as seen many times in the scriptures, and there is an END of the time or age, where the age is ended. Examples of this:

The New King James states it correctly: 1Co 2:7 (NKJV) But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, the hidden wisdom which God ordained before the ages for our glory,

New King James version: Tit 2:12 (NKJV) teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly in the present age,

1Co 10:11 (NKJV) Now all these things happened to them as examples, and they were written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the ages have come.

To conclude: “Aionian” judgment means AGE-LASTING, pertaining to a period of time; when will judgment begin if it is “eternal”? When will judgment end if it is “eternal”?

Now, look at the second word “judgment” i.e. “eternal judgment”:  It is the Greek word G2917, “krima”

Let’s read several verses to see the meaning of this word:

Mat 23:14 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye devour widows’ houses, and for a pretence make long prayer: therefore ye shall receive the greater damnation.

Rom 3:8 And not [ rather], (as we be slanderously reported, and as some affirm that we say,) Let us do evil, that good may come? whose damnation is just.

Rom 13:2 Whosoever therefore resisteth the power, resisteth the ordinance of God: and they that resist shall receive to themselves damnation.

1Co 11:29 For he that eateth and drinketh unworthily, eateth and drinketh damnation to himself, not discerning the Lord’s body.

1Ti 5:12 Having damnation, because they have cast off their first faith.

Luk 23:40 But the other answering rebuked him, saying, Dost not thou fear God, seeing thou art in the same condemnation?

1Co 11:34 And if any man hunger, let him eat at home; that ye come not together unto condemnation. And the rest will I set in order when I come.

Jas 3:1 My brethren, be not many masters, knowing that we shall receive the greater condemnation.

Luk 24:20 And how the chief priests and our rulers delivered him to be condemned to death, and have crucified him.

We are first banished, confined or imprisoned in chains in a realm that is known as “death” (age lasting condemnation/damnation), banished in trespasses and sins, even as all in Adam (flesh) are first held in death. This is the necessary first step before the true judgment of God/Day of Judgment begins in our lives, according to this Word and principle;

Heb 9:27 And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:

1Co 15:22 For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive.

Eph 2:1 And you hath he quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins;

Eph 2:2 Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience:

Eph 2:3 Among whom also we all had our conversation in times past in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind; and were by nature the children of wrath, even as others.

Rom 7:24 O wretched man that I am! who shall deliver me from the body of this death?

This is all one and the same thing in the Spirit, as being in darkness, abode of “hell”, in disobedience committing sins as it is written:

Rom 8:6 For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.

1Pe 4:3 For the time past of our life may suffice us to have wrought the will of the Gentiles, when we walked in lasciviousness, lusts, excess of wine, revellings, banquetings, and abominable idolatries!

1Jn 1:6 If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth:

1Jn 2:11 But he that hateth his brother is in darkness, and walketh in darkness, and knoweth not whither he goeth, because that darkness hath blinded his eyes.

1Jn 3:14 We know that we have passed from death unto life, because we love the brethren. He that loveth not his brother abideth in death.

Peter reminds us for whom and where this darkness and blindness is in the Spirit.

2Pe 2:4 For if God spared not the angels that sinned, but cast them down to hell, and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved unto judgment;

2Pe 2:9 The Lord knoweth how to deliver the godly out of temptations, and to reserve the unjust unto the day of judgment to be punished:

2Pe 2:10 But chiefly them that walk after the flesh [you and I in our time and season!] in the lust of uncleanness, and despise government. Presumptuous are they, self-willed, [when we all had doctrine of ‘freewill’ in our hearts] they are not afraid to speak evil of dignities.

So being chained in darkness, in death, banished in a spiritual realm called “hell”, walking after the flesh is the pre-requisite for all judgment of God. It is also at that time, while we were dead in trespasses and sin that the gospel is first preached to us, and the Word of God is preached while we dwelt under the shadow of death that is our old ministers and pastors under the Law in the orthodox Christian churches.

Heb 9:27 And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:

Rom 8:12 Therefore, brethren, we are debtors, not to the flesh, to live after the flesh. Rom 8:13 For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live.

The fruitless works of darkness:

Being in death produces the fruits and works of death.

Gal 5:19 Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness,

Gal 5:20 Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies,

Gal 5:21 Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.

o eternal judgment, one of the milk doctrines, is really “age abiding damnation and or condemnation” which has a beginning and an end and everything in-between! If we are His, the Lord and “His Christ” come to save us from this condition so that true judgment can begin, righteous judgment in our Day of Judgment.

It must be known from early on that ALL God’s ways are judgment, bringing His creation into a process of time, an age in which we are continuously under judgment. Our Day of the Lord!

Let us now ask who is the Judge in this Day!

There is only one Judge who is bringing all judgment and verdicts through one Lord Jesus Christ.

Heb 12:23 To the general assembly and church of the firstborn, which are written in heaven, and to God the Judge of all, and to the spirits of just men made perfect,

All that the Father of spirits does is through the only begotten son, one Lord Jesus Christ/Living Word and “His Christ”;

1Co 8:5 For though there be that are called gods, whether in heaven or in earth, (as there be gods many, and lords many,)

1Co 8:6 But to us there is but one God, the Father, of whom are all things, and we in him; and one Lord Jesus Christ, by whom are all things, and we by him.

2Ti 4:1 I charge thee therefore before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, who shall judge the quick and the dead at his appearing and his kingdom;

Rom 2:16 In the day when God shall judge the secrets of men by Jesus Christ according to my gospel.

Is that authority and judgment independent of the Father? Is being “given” a position, an office of judgment suggestive of doing what one wants, judging out of one’s own ideas, principles, and own witness? The Lord answers us:

Joh 5:30 I can of mine own self do nothing: as I hear, I judge: and my judgment is just; [why is it just?] because I seek not mine own will, but the will of the Father which hath sent me.

True judgment begins in our Day of the Lord, where is this place of judgment:

Age lasting judgment takes place wherein the Judge comes, which is within God’s people now in these bodies of clay.

Rom 8:9 But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you, Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.

The Son has been committed all judgment, and when He comes to the realm of our time, in this earthen body of clay of our minds and hearts, then judgment is said to begin. The Lord comes into the darkness of our fleshly hearts in great Light, for a period of time. From when He begins until judgment is finished in us, is what is scripturally known as “age-lasting judgment.” Since the flesh cannot abide ‘forever’, the judgment is for an appointed period of time.

Order of Judgement:

Heb 9:27 And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:

1Co 15:22 For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive.

1Co 15:23 But every man in his own order: Christ the firstfruits; [the Head] afterward they that are Christ’s at his coming [His Body].

The rest of uncalled mankind and the great multitude gathering unto Christ in the flesh will be judged at a later judgment day called the great white throne judgment. The flesh, imprisoned in a very dark place called hell, or Greek ‘Hades’, in Hebrew ‘Sheol’, are all fallen into the deep pit to be redeemed and judged at a later time, which in the mind of Christ. The masses all sleep the sleep of ‘Death’.

2Co 4:3 But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost:

THE DAY OF JUDGMENT, THE COMING OF THE JUDGE:

Jesus Christ has been committed all judgment. So at His appointed time, He comes within his chosen, His firstfruits to do only one thing …

Joh 9:39 And Jesus said, For judgment I am come into this world, that they which see not might see; and that they which see might be made blind.

Joh 12:31 Now is the judgment of this world: now shall the prince of this world be cast out.

The Lord brings a sword and fire to carry out judgment.

Mat 10:34 Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword.

Mal 3:2 But who may abide the day of his coming? and who shall stand when he appeareth? for he is like a refiner’s fire, and like fullers’ soap:

Mal 3:3 And he shall sit as a refiner and purifier of silver: and he shall purify the sons of Levi, and purge them as gold and silver, that they may offer unto the LORD an offering in righteousness

Jer 23:29 Is not my word like as a fire? saith the LORD; and like a hammer that breaketh the rock in pieces?

Joh 12:48 He that rejecteth me, and receiveth not my words, hath one that judgeth him: the word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day.

Judgment by Christ with his glittering sword and consuming fire begins in His elect, now!

1Pe 4:12 Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened unto you:

1Pe 4:17 For the time is come [the age is come] that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God?

How is Christ’s judgments accomplished in us?

1Co 11:30 For this cause many are weak and sickly among you, and many sleep.

1Co 11:31 For if we would judge ourselves, we should not be judged.

1Co 11:32 But when we are judged, we are chastened of the Lord, [WHY?] that we should not be condemned with the world.

1Co 4:3 But with me it is a very small thing that I should be judged of you, or of man’s judgment: yea, I judge not mine own self.

1Co 4:4 For I know of nothing against myself, yet I am not justified by this; but He who judges me is the Lord.

You and I have been sleeping before judgment comes upon us.

Heb 9:27 And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:

When the judgment of the Lord does come, we are awakened from our sleep in “hell”, place of disobedience, by being given a good chastening, a reprimand, a reprove, a rebuking, an affliction – just about anything in the hand of the Lord to wake us up out of this deep sleep of death. Chastening is a major part of this righteous Judgment of the Lord, but our flesh does not like this at all. To qualify as sons and daughters of God, chastening and scourging are a necessity that we may be partakers of all that is in God through the appointed Judge, Christ Jesus.

Heb 12:5-8 And ye have forgotten the exhortation which speaketh unto you as unto children, My son, despise not thou the chastening of the Lord, nor faint when thou art rebuked of him: 6 For whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth, and scourgeth every son whom he receiveth. 7 If ye endure chastening, [unto the end!] God dealeth with you as with sons; for what son is he whom the father chasteneth not? 8 But if ye be without chastisement, whereof all are partakers, [all, me] then are ye bastards, and not sons. [But not all men are being chastened, judged of the Lord in this age.]

Being exercised with chastening of the Lord is what produces the fruit of righteousness in us. It produces this fruit because we must first know what is being judged within us, what defilements are being scourged, burnt by fire and destroyed by the sword.

Mar 7:21 For from within, out of the heart of men, proceed evil thoughts, adulteries, fornications, murders,

Mar 7:22 thefts, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, lasciviousness, an evil eye, blasphemy, pride, foolishness:

Mar 7:23 All these evil things come from within, and defile the man.

Once judgment begins, we therefore are chastened and we begin to live godlier lives in this age, not just in the future sometime, but now TODAY.

Tit 2:11 For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men,

Tit 2:12 teaching [G3811, paideuō: chastening] us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world; [Greek in this present age]

It is PUNISHMENT to the flesh, an age-lasting punishment because our flesh is being destroyed by the sword and burnt with the Fire that is God Himself throughout the time/age we are being judged.

Mat 25:46 And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: [Greek aonios, age-lasting punishment] but the righteous into life eternal.

“Into everlasting punishment” is into the Fire that burns throughout all the ages.

Mat 25:41 Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart From me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, [Greek aionios, age-lasting fire] prepared for the devil and his angels:

Who is and what is that Fire that will judge and chasten us throughout the ages?

Heb 12:29 For our God is a consuming fire.

This is the age-lasting punishment to our flesh and ungodly ways …

The outcome of Christ’s judgment within us:

Psa 98:9 Before the LORD; for he cometh to judge the earth: with righteousness shall he judge the world, and the people with equity.

Mal 3:2 But who may abide the day of his coming? and who shall stand when he appeareth? for he is like a refiner’s fire, and like fullers’ soap:

Mal 3:3 And he shall sit as a refiner and purifier of silver: and he shall purify the sons of Levi, and purge them as gold and silver, that they may offer unto the LORD an offering in righteousness.

The Lord has an end goal in His judgments of our ungodly ways. He has been commissioned by the Father to bring us to Him, all ONE in Him, to the realm of life and righteousness. This is the age-lasting purpose of Christ, and it is through these judgments that we are being saved from this ungodly world within our hearts, and be redeemed from darkness and death that is our flesh. It is through age-lasting Judgment, the chastening fire of God, that we are being saved from sin that dwells within our flesh Also the water of His Word is washing us to be a chaste virgin without spot or wrinkle.

Rom 7:18  For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh,) dwelleth no good thing: for to will is present with me; but how to perform that which is good I find not.
Rom 7:19  For the good that I would I do not: but the evil which I would not, that I do.
Rom 7:20  Now if I do that I would not, it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwelleth in me.
Rom 7:21  I find then a law, that, when I would do good, evil is present with me.

Eph 5:26  That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word,

Eph 5:27  That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish.

The outcome of all judgments of all time:

Isa 26:9 With my soul have I desired thee in the night; yea, with my spirit within me will I seek thee early: for when thy judgments are in the earth, the inhabitants of the world will learn righteousness.

Heb 12:11 Now no chastening for the present seemeth to be joyous, but grievous: nevertheless afterward it yieldeth the peaceable fruit of righteousness unto them which are exercised thereby.

We are learning to discern between spiritual good and evil. It is through this age-lasting judgment we ourselves, are being delivered and is being delivered from our great enemy sin, that dwells within us, that we can live fully in the Spirit, as the prince of this world with all its false doctrines and deceptive ways of living Godly lives is and will be cast out of our hearts as the Judge, Jesus Christ, is coming and increasing in us. Once evil spirits such as hypocrisy are being cast out of us day by day, and our old man is perishing in the process, those few that are being overcome of the Holy Spirit of God are being ordained as judges of the second group of men, of those that are currently still being reserved in the darkness of “hell” where we once were dwelling and dwells from time to time. We do not judge without but within ourselves and within the Body of Christ and in the ages to come we will judge the masses that are in deep sleep now.

1Co 5:12 For what have I to do to judge them also that are without? do not ye judge them that are within?

1Co 5:13 But them that are without God judgeth. Therefore put away from among yourselves that wicked person. [that Old Man of sin within us all].

1Co 6:2 Do ye not know that the saints shall judge the world? and if the world shall be judged by you, are ye unworthy to judge the smallest matters?

1Co 6:3 Know ye not that we shall judge angels? how much more things that pertain to this life?

There is an age to come during which all those that are not being judged at this time will be judged by Christ through his Body, the elect of all ages, so that righteousness will rule everyone.

Rev 20:4 And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years.

The Reward of being judged now:

Apart from reigning and ruling with Christ, we receive a new family, those who do the will of God, the true sons of God. It is such a wonderful thing for brothers to dwell together in unity. We dwell in UNITY because we all have the same mind of Christ (Psa 133:1).

Luk 18:29 And he said unto them, Verily I say unto you, There is no man that hath left house, or parents, or brethren, or wife, or children, for the kingdom of God’s sake,

Luk 18:30 Who shall not receive manifold more in this present time, and in the world to come life everlasting.

What is our reward in this life for losing our old life?

Gal 5:22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,

Gal 5:23 Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.

Christ is a strong man to protect us.

Isa 32:18 And my people shall dwell in a peaceable habitation, and in sure dwellings, and in quiet resting places;

Luk 11:21 When a strong man armed keepeth his palace, his goods are in peace:

The new world of righteousness and Truth to come is now here in down payment earnest form in our hearts if Christ the Judge is being revealed in us. Knowing that there is an age to come, and if we are judged to be faithful, we shall reign and be judges with Christ and it should be a great inspiration for all walking this road.

Conclusion:

The outcome of all God’s judgments through the Lord Jesus Christ is for us to come to learn righteousness and in doing so we bring honor to the Son and to the Father. It is not just the firstfruits that will be bestowed this honor of knowing and doing righteousness, but all men in due time.

But it is through this judgment that God will make a way even to all our lost ones, uncalled or still walking after the flesh, in the age to come through us. God will bring everyone home, to Himself!

1Pe 3:18 For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit:

All will be brought home through age-lasting Judgment by the Fire of God’s Word, which is the means He has devised to fetch His banished, His dead sons, those poor with no goods and spiritual substance, the Lord’s prisoners in the flesh.

Ezr 7:26 And whosoever will not do the law of thy God, and the law of the king, let judgment be executed speedily upon him, whether it be unto death, or to banishment, or to confiscation of goods, or to imprisonment.

Our King, Jesus Christ, is not slack nor does He has any fault in Him. He will bring us all unto Himself, not willing that any should perish, but all should be created new through His chastening fire of age-lasting judgment which we live now!

2Pe 3:9 The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.

As God’s elect are given mercy through God’s judgments, in due time when judgment is committed to us, we will be returning the favor so to speak, and do likewise unto our neighbors and have mercy in judgment, bringing others into the righteousness and mind of the Father. Mercy in judgment makes the heart glad over merciless judgment. Age-lasting Judgment by God’s consuming Fire however produces righteousness that triumphs over merciless judgment. For this cause, the apostle James admonishes us to:

Jas 2:12 (NKJV) So speak and so do as those who will be judged by the law of liberty.

Jas 2:13 For judgment is without mercy to the one who has shown no mercy.

Suffering and Judgment in this age:

We, as Christ did, learn obedience by the things which we are suffering. Suffering with Christ is indicative of judgment being on the House of God in US. We learn by experience of both suffering and judgment from Christ who went through it first in the same flesh we have. Out flesh suffers the same as Christ’s flesh but in down payment form.

Heb 5:8 Though he were a Son, yet learned he obedience by the things which he suffered;

Heb 5:9 And being made perfect, he became the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey him;

Heb 5:8 and 9 tells us that we learn obedience through suffering, and when we suffer we learn obedience, our faith being tested as gold tried in the fire. It is the Father THROUGH Christ doing these things IN US.

1Pe 4:15 But let none of you suffer as a murderer, or as a thief, or as an evildoer, or as a busybody in other men’s matters.

1Pe 4:16 Yet if any man suffer as a Christian, let him not be ashamed; but let him glorify God on this behalf.

1Pe 4:17 For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God?

We should not be suffering as evil doers – murderers, thieves or busybodies in other men’s matters, but we need to be suffering as Christians. That judgment on us as “Christ likes,” which is what Christian means (Christ- like), results in obedience.

Obedience is something that comes from suffering. It is a direct spiritual result. How can that be? We read it earlier. It is obeying Christ, being obedient to what Christ would have us do.

(KJV) Heb 5:14 But strong meat belongeth to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.

(BBE) But solid food is for men of full growth, even for those whose senses are trained by use to see what is good and what is evil.

(GNB) Solid food, on the other hand, is for adults, who through practice are able to distinguish between good and evil.

(LITV) But solid food is for those full grown, having exercised the faculties through habit, for distinction of both good and bad.

It is through the very act of SIN, the very act of committing SIN that we learn to be obedient. We learn what is right from wrong because through the sins we commit we learn what NOT to do any longer; thus, we learn obedience because we are judged with a big spanking from the Father. As parents, do we not discipline our children for doing what’s wrong? Do our children not learn what is wrong from doing it and being JUDGED of it? In essence, the Lord takes away our full bottle of milk in His own timing and starts to give us solid spiritual food.

Heb 12:5 And ye have forgotten the exhortation which speaketh unto you as unto children, My son, despise not thou the chastening of the Lord, nor faint when thou art rebuked of him:

Heb 12:6 For whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth, and scourgeth every son whom he receiveth.

Heb 12:7 If ye endure chastening, God dealeth with you as with sons; for what son is he whom the father chasteneth not?

Heb 12:8 But if ye be without chastisement, whereof all are partakers, then are ye bastards, and not sons.

The words here translated as ‘chastening’ should say ‘teaches’ or ‘teaching’, and when we are loved by our Father we are shown the error of our ways, we are shown judgment which Lord willing is NOW on our house, the House of God. Christ was made sin and that flesh that Christ was made into had to be judged and done away with.

2Co 5:21 For he hath made him [ to be] sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.

Suffering and Judgment = Acknowledgment and Obedience:

We suffer because we are being judged, and this all builds up to us ultimately acknowledging our sovereign Father as our Head and saying, “Nevertheless, Thy will be done” as is what Christ prayed to God the Father when His flesh did not want to be judged. After all, when we are disciplining our physical children it simply results in our children acknowledging that what we told them they need to be doing and that they must do otherwise it will result in certain actions on our part if they do not obey and do as we say. Ultimately, we do it or should be doing it because we LOVE them, and how much more do we believe that our Father loves us when we are going through the sufferings He has prepared for us? That is exactly what we are told why we are being taught obedience through the things we suffer:

Heb 12:9 Furthermore we have had fathers of our flesh which corrected [ us], and we gave [ them] reverence: shall we not much rather be in subjection unto the Father of spirits, and live?

Heb 12:10 For they verily for a few days chastened [ us] after their own pleasure; but he for [ our] profit, that [ we] might be partakers of his holiness.

Heb 12:11 Now no chastening for the present seemeth to be joyous, but grievous: nevertheless afterward it yieldeth the peaceable fruit of righteousness unto them which are exercised thereby.

If Christ Himself had to endure judgment on His flesh, how much more do we need to endure judgment on our flesh which is sin in and of itself but also how much more will we have to endure judgment because of the very sins we are committing. We are by nature children of wrath, and that is why we go past the milk doctrines of Christ and move on towards maturity. The more sin we commit, the more there is to be judged.

When sin no longer has dominion over us, then it is not something that we need to concentrate on. Indeed, it is VERY important to consider and repent of immediately, but it is NOT our master anymore. Our old masters demand our full attention “or else”, but when we have those masters no longer, we give attention to our new master, our new Head, Jesus Christ.

Rom 6:14 For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace.

Rom 6:15 What then? shall we sin, because we are not under the law, but under grace? God forbid.

Rom 6:16 Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness?

Rom 6:17 But God be thanked, that ye were the servants of sin, but ye have obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine which was delivered you.

Rom 6:18 Being then made free from sin, ye became the servants of righteousness.

Christ came to do the Will of His Father and fulfilled that Will by “learning obedience by the things He suffered”. We, too, must be willing servants to only do His will and not our own. We are being made ready to pick up our cross and follow Christ to death and that on a daily basis. God wants His whole sacrifice, His true tithe paid in full daily.

We have seen in the Word that as children we will be living on the milk of the Word of God as we start off on our spiritual walk with the Lord. However, we are moving past those things which we all have been taught week after week in the orthodox Christian churches that we all have come from and is mentioned in Hebrews chapter 6, specifically the milk doctrine of “eternal judgment”, which is really “age lasting damnation and or condemnation”, one of the six milk doctrines, a period of disobedience and spiritual death.

True Judgment, age abiding judgment, is a process continuing for the rest of our earthly lives if He is working with us now, and resulting in us learning obedience because of the things we suffer from that judgment. We have periods of eternal judgement i.e. “age lasting damnation” even in our Day of Judgment in other words periods of disobedience because the Lord burns out our sins little by little and not everything at once. We are always being judged in these clay vessels, we never arrive in this life.

If we endure these teachings, we are considered sons. Take comfort in knowing that we all have to endure these same judgments at the appointed time of our Father and His judgments are just. So “Mystery Babylon, the mother of Harlots”, is being judged within us daily! This is Good News!

Rom 13:2 Whosoever therefore resisteth the power, resisteth the ordinance of God: and they that resist shall receive to themselves damnation. (judgment)

(ASV) Rev 18:19 And they cast dust on their heads, and cried, weeping and mourning, saying, Woe, woe, the great city, wherein all that had their ships in the sea were made rich by reason of her costliness! for in one hour is she made desolate.

(ASV) Rev 18:20 Rejoice over her, thou heaven, and ye saints, and ye apostles, and ye prophets; for God hath judged your judgment on her.

(ASV) Rev 18:21 And a strong angel took up a stone as it were a great millstone and cast it into the sea, saying, Thus with a mighty fall shall Babylon, the great city, be cast down, and shall be found no more at all.

Rev 15:3 And they sing the song of Moses the servant of God, and the song of the Lamb, saying, Great and marvellous [ are] thy works, Lord God Almighty; just and true [ are] thy ways, thou King of saints.

“Let the people praise thee, O God; let all the people praise thee” is a witness that the key to harmony is only possible with the true witness of Christ’s life within us.

Rev 1:8 I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty.

“Then Shall the Wicked Be Revealed”

Here are the verses for Part 4 as we finish Chapter 1 and segue into Chapter 2.

In Part 3 of the Nahum study we saw it was the Lord’s jealousy for His Chosen Elect for which He causes events to bring judgment upon us through the whirlwind and ultimately bring an end to the sowing of the serpent’s seed (nature) within us. Here in Part 4 we are given more details on the Lord’s process that takes place in our personal day of the Lord. Christ is revealed to us by the Lord making known to us our true carnal, sinful and wicked spiritual condition (Rom 9:23).  This apostasy must come first and the wicked man, the chief of sinners (we are) is being made known. The verses in Nahum will show that we come to see this truth when the Lord comes to make war in the heavens of our heart and mind.

2Th 2:8 And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming:
2Th 2:9 whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders,

In the last verse of Chapter 1 in the book of Nahum, “The Christ” appears to bring the Good News which is that the wicked one within us will no longer be allowed and will be utterly cut off.

Our hearts and minds are purified by true faith that requires that a preacher be sent to bring the good tidings for the NEW man. This is bad news for the old man but is how we are brought to repentance (Rom 2:4) so the new man will increase.

Rom 10:15 And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things!

Rom 10:17 So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

Nahum has been speaking to the “people of Nineveh”, and then, all of a sudden, in Nahum 1:15 we are told: “O Judah keep thy feasts and perform thy vows”. This is a contradiction to the natural man who cannot even see a most basic truth that the kingdom of God, and all the nations of the earth and the heavens, is first within us (Luk 17:20-21). The Elect are the people of God, but they are also first the people of Babylon and Assyria of which Nineveh is the capital.

A jealous God is going to make us, not only hearers of the Word, but also doers of the Word. We all first vow we will obey the Lord, but then we do not do it. We are incapable of doing it without Christ in us doing the work. The Lord has to come the second time to cause us to perform those vows and obey Him as the result of this baptism in the appointed times.

Exo 24:7 And he took the book of the covenant, and read in the audience of the people: and they said, All that the LORD hath said will we do, and be obedient.

God’s Elect, to whom these prophets are speaking, are first the children of disobedience storing up wrath for their day of judgment.

Contrary to the ten-second sinner’s prayer and the false grace of the orthodox churches of men, here is God’s way of causing us to obey Him (Eze 36:27).

Rom 1:18 For the wrath of God [this baptism of fire] is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness;

Having or holding the Truth is not enough; we must do the Truth. What we are going to see play out here in Chapter 2 is the Lord causing us to fall and apostasize while we claim to be His people. He came to save sinners of whom God’s Elect are chief. This is how the Lord shows us that we truly are wretched men, beasts actually, that are blasphemers, the very “abomination of desolation” spoken of by Daniel the Prophet! We must come to see our flesh for what it is.

Rom 7:23 But I see another law in my members, warring against the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity to the law of sin which is in my members.
Rom 7:24 O wretched man that I am! who shall deliver me from the body of this death?

When we are hearers of the Word and not doers, we hear the trumpet of sound doctrine, but we do not hearken to that trumpet. Here is another verse that confirms just how sovereign the Lord is in the affairs of man.

Jer 6:17 Also I set watchmen over you, saying, Hearken to the sound of the trumpet. But they said, We will not hearken.
Jer 6:18 Therefore hear, ye nations, and know, O congregation, what is among them.
Jer 6:19 Hear, O earth: behold, I will bring evil upon this people, even the fruit of their thoughts, because they have not hearkened unto my words, nor to my law, but rejected it.

Even our very thoughts are given to us (Amo 4:13) which makes a mockery of the idea that carnal idea that man has any free will.Yet that is the Lord’s plan to blind us all, to give us strong delusion, to be carnally minded until He actually comes with His sword.

Our self-righteousness which we hold as righteousness is all filthy rags to the Lord (Isa 64:6), and we all, like Job, will reason with our carnal mind that we do not deserve the judgment of God and will condemn the Lord to justify ourselves. The Lord will put a swift end to our self-righteousness when He shows us what we truly are. The Lord will reveal Himself and teach us by His chastening grace out of the fiery trials and inward storms symbolized by the whirlwind.

Job 40:6 Then answered the LORD unto Job out of the whirlwind, and said,
Job 40:7 Gird up thy loins now like a man: I will demand of thee, and declare thou unto me.
Job 40:8 Wilt thou also disannul my judgment? wilt thou condemn me, that thou mayest be righteous?

This verse in Nahum is the Lord mocking our covenant with the old man/DEATH and the false peace and security we have that no destruction will come upon us in our days of lasciviousness (Isa 28:15, Psa 2:4-9). The Lord is not saving the old man; He is showing us our sinfulness and then in His mercy, will be merciless in destroying the first man Adam by the baptism of fire.

Pro 1:26 I also will laugh at your calamity; I will mock when your fear cometh;
Pro 1:27 When your fear cometh as desolation, and your destruction cometh as a whirlwind; when distress and anguish cometh upon you.
Pro 1:28 Then shall they call upon me, but I will not answer; they shall seek me early, but they shall not find me:

The word translated “munition” (only this one time in Nahum) really means fenced city which is where those in Babylon and Assyria reside making high walls with bricks made by the works of the flesh (Gen 11:3, Deu 3:5-6). The Lord mocks the false peace we claim and will come as a thief in this spiritual night.

1Th 5:3 For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape.

The final kingdom of the beast is a dreadful and a strong kingdom fortified with iron (Dan 7:19).  No man is able to make war with this beast except for Jesus Christ (Rev 13:4). When the Lord comes to us, He comes with full fury to make war in our heavens and usher in salvation. The Lord will come with His angels (His Elect) and the Rock, which is Christ/Living Word and will dash this beastly image we create to pieces. It is “The Christ” who are the battle-axe and weapons of war that speak these truths that dash to pieces the kingdoms and all the carnal lies and false doctrines of the great harlot who rides the beast within us.

Jer 51:20 Thou art my battle axe and weapons of war: for with thee will I break in pieces the nations, and with thee will I destroy kingdoms;
Jer 51:21 And with thee will I break in pieces the horse and his rider; and with thee will I break in pieces the chariot and his rider;

Trees also represent God’s people and here is a New Testament witness to the use of “Christ” as the Lord’s battle axe. Trees that do not bear fruit for God are always hewn down in due time.

Mat 3:10 And now also the axe is laid unto the root of the trees: therefore every tree which bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.
Mat 3:11 I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance: but he that cometh after me is mightier than I, whose shoes I am not worthy to bear: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost, and with fire:

We also see this demolition in the parable of the king’s dream in Daniel 2. No man can serve two masters, and when the Lord comes with vengeance, He is destroying the old and filling the whole earth with His Word.

Dan 2:34 Thou sawest till that a stone was cut out without hands, which smote the image upon his feet that were of iron and clay, and brake them to pieces.
Dan 2:35 Then was the iron, the clay, the brass, the silver, and the gold, broken to pieces together, and became like the chaff of the summer threshingfloors; and the wind carried them away, that no place was found for them: and the stone that smote the image became a great mountain, and filled the whole earth.

Most translations other than KJV turn this verse into an entirely different rendering saying the Lord is restoring the excellency of Jacob and Israel versus turning it away. The KJV is correct as this excellency in the negative sense, is our pride/pomp and is the most often use of the Hebrew word H1347. The excellency of Jacob and Israel in the negative sense is the pride of the carnal mind. Before we can be restored we must first fall away and walk in strong delusion thinking we know the Lord but only knowing about Him. The Lord turns away our pride/pomp or even our excellency spoken of here by humbling us. Here is the same word H1347 “excellency” that better reflect what Nahum is speaking here.

Pro 16:18 Pride [H1347] goeth before destruction, and an haughty spirit before a fall.

Eze 7:24 Wherefore I will bring the worst of the heathen, and they shall possess their houses: I will also make the pomp [H1347] of the strong to cease; and their holy places shall be defiled.

Luk 14:11 For whosoever exalteth himself shall be abased; and he that humbleth himself shall be exalted.

The Lord humbles us by causing us to fall (Pro 24:16) and to err from His ways (Isa 63:17).  We are being humbled by coming to see “Oh wretched man that I am; “No man can serve two masters, a divided house cannot stand”. A Jealous God is going to make us One with Him by this “strange” act of showing the truth to us of our spiritual condition.

Hos 10:1 Israel isan empty vine, he bringeth forth fruit unto himself: according to the multitude of his fruit he hath increased the altars; according to the goodness of his land they have made goodly images.
Hos 10:2 Their heart is divided; now shall they be found faulty: he shall break down their altars, he shall spoil their images.

The “emptiers” are the false doctrines of the harlot, the 200 million lies of Rev 9:16 that ensnare us as carnally-minded men. This is the curse of our earth that makes us vile in the Lord’s eyes.  Here are two other uses of the same word emptiers.

Isa 24:3 The land shall be utterly emptied, and utterly spoiled: for the LORD hath spoken this word.

Isa 24:6 Therefore hath the curse devoured the earth, and they that dwell therein are desolate: therefore the inhabitants of the earth are burned, and few men left.
Isa 24:7 The new wine mourneth, the vine languisheth, all the merryhearted do sigh.

The destroying wind is what empties the land, the fanners or “strangers” the strange fire that cannot save us in our day of trouble.

Jer 51:1 Thus saith the LORD; Behold, I will raise up against Babylon, and against them that dwell in the midst of them that rise up against me, a destroying wind;
Jer 51:2 And will send unto Babylon fanners, that shall fan her, and shall empty her land: for in the day of trouble they shall be against her round about.

These ”strangers” are also these very many lying spirits and false doctrines that fill the house and empty it of the Truth. We, the Israel of God, are this wicked generation whose earth has been cursed.

Mat 12:43 When the unclean spirit is gone out of a man, he walketh through dry places, seeking rest, and findeth none.
Mat 12:44 Then he saith, I will return into my house from whence I came out; and when he is come, he findeth it empty, swept, and garnished.
Mat 12:45 Then goeth he, and taketh with himself seven other spirits more wicked than himself, and they enter in and dwell there: and the last state of that man is worse than the first. Even so shall it be also unto this wicked generation.

Psa 78:49 He cast upon them [Israel] the fierceness of his anger, wrath, and indignation, and trouble, by sending evil angels [unclean spirits] among them.

This wicked generation is not someone else; it is you and I if we are God’s Elect. The natural man sees it as foolishness that the Lord makes us wicked vessels of clay and then humbles us by sending evil spirits to us that cause sinful flesh to sin. The plan has never changed (1Co 15:50).

Jer 18:2 Arise, and go down to the potter’s house, and there I will cause thee to hear my words.
Jer 18:3 Then I went down to the potter’s house, and, behold, he wrought a work on the wheels.
Jer 18:4 And the vessel that he made of clay was marred in the hand of the potter: so he made it again another vessel, as seemed good to the potter to make it.

This word “marred” in Nahum 2:3 (as in marred vine branches) is the same word used as marred here in this well-known Jer 18:4 verse. However, by far the most often translated word for H7843 is DESTROY or DESTROYED. As this KJC extract demonstrates, 103 of 146 instances are some variety of “destroy”.

There is no contradiction here; “being marred,” means we are sinful flesh, and those vessels are meant to be destroyed. It is this very process of destroying the old man and raising up Christ through which we come to know the Lord. My point for showing what marred really means is to give another witness to the Lord causing us to sin (unbelief) and by this process of showing this to us, this is how we are being humbled and the “excellency/pride” of Judah is taken away by the “emptiers”.

All things are of Christ. Without Him we can do nothing. Even our sins, the fruitless deeds of the flesh are purposefully made marred branches in the one true vine, which is Christ.

Joh 15:2 Every branch in me that beareth not fruit he taketh away: and every branch that beareth fruit, he purgeth it, that it may bring forth more fruit.

The process of overcoming and entering into Christ is with much tribulation. This process is often likened to physical warfare to tell the man of the Spirit how it works in the spiritual (Rom 1:20). When Christ comes to baptize us with the fire of His chastening grace, a war is being fought over a period of many days. In the spiritual realm, this war is between spirits or doctrines. The Lord sends both good spirits and evil spirits to us (1 Ki 22:23, 1 Sa 16:14) as ALL spirits are from Him (Heb 12:9).

The inward conflicts and divisions in the kingdom within that the Lord causes will create confusion in the enemy’s household. This is His Way of bringing about an end to us being under the dominion of Satan, who is our father the devil before Christ comes (Rom 16:20, Joh 8:44). A divided kingdom and a divided house cannot stand.

Mar 3:24 And if a kingdom be divided against itself, that kingdom cannot stand.
Mar 3:25 And if a house be divided against itself, that house cannot stand.
Mar 3:26 And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.

The double-minded man is not lasting in the day of this baptism. The raging of this war, the chariots, the horsemen, with spears; all jostling together inwardly in our hearts and minds is how we are being PREPARED for Christ to come. In the days of our preparation to enter into His rest, a mighty war is being fought within the heavens of God’s Elect. We, and specifically the strength of the old man, are being smitten with confusion and bewilderment.

Zec 12:4 In that day, saith the LORD, I will smite every horse with astonishment, and his rider with madness: and I will open mine eyes upon the house of Judah,  and will smite every horse of the people with blindness.

Rev 12:7 And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels,

Eph 6:12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places [Heaven is correct translation].

It is the pitting of the carnal mind against the spiritual mind of Christ that brings war in our heavens.

Gal 5:17 For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would.

Getting the 200 million carnal lies out of our heavens takes a raging battle that lasts many days.  This is our fighting the good fight of faith as we are “is, was and will be” prepared for Christ. These verses in Nahum tell us of the two witnesses, God’s people and the battle we endure first as judgment must begin at the House of God. We are the Lord’s mighty men and represent His army or “valiant ones” as well. Let us look at some of the symbolism in these two verses.

The Elect are the Lord’s valiant men, yet before He can use us in His service we have to be humbled and shown that we, like all men, are the “chief of sinners” and that nothing good dwells in our flesh. We are delivered by being depleted of the strength of the flesh also known as being humbled. No king is saved any other way.

Psa 33:16 There is no king saved by the multitude of an host: a mighty man is not delivered by much strength.

Mat 5:3 Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
Mat 5:5 Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth.

We are delivered by being shown our sin and being humbled by this revelation that we are truly a beast (Ecc 3:18). When we are still trusting in the flesh and our carnal thoughts and the lies of the great harlot, then judgment is still coming to us as we are not fully looking to the Lord.

Isa 31:1 Woe to them that go down to Egypt for help; and stay on horses, and trust in chariots, because they are many; and in horsemen, because they are very strong; but they look not unto the Holy One of Israel, neither seek the LORD!

The Lord will use the chariots to bring evil/judgment upon us that will cause division within Satan’s house both those doing evil and those that help them do evil. The old man is the house of the evil doing and the harlot and her lies are what helps the old man. Both the beast and the false prophet are tossed into the fire.

Isa 31:2 Yet he also is wise, and will bring evil, and will not call back his words: but will arise against the house of the evildoers, and against the help of them that work iniquity.
Isa 31:3 Now the Egyptians are men, and not God; and their horses flesh, and not spirit. When the LORD shall stretch out his hand, both he that helpeth shall fall, and he that is holpen shall fall down, and they all shall fail together.

The “negative chariots and the positive chariots” that fight this war in heaven all work for the greater good, which is to bring us to Christ. Both are pulled by strong horses. This verse already cited speaks of this warfare raging within us.

Rom 7:23 But I see another law in my members, warring against the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity to the law of sin, which is in my members

Without true faith, we have no ability to take thoughts the Lord gives us captive to the obedience of Christ. The principalities in our carnal heavens will overwhelm those without this armor and the shield of faith.

Eph 6:16 Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.

The red shields of the mighty men refer to our trusting in our carnal reasonings instead of the Lord. The color red in the negative application stands for our fleshly nature, our carnal mind, rejected first-born (Adam, Esau) and is the color of the adversary (red dragon) who is the father of the carnally minded. The first man Adam (the word actually means red) is the strong/mighty man with a carnal mind that must be overtaken and bound. Only Christ can enter into the strong man’s house, make war with the beast and spoil this house.

Mat 12:29 Or else how can one enter into a strong man’s house, and spoil his goods, except he first bind the strong man? and then he will spoil his house.

When we are being ruled by the flesh, the Philistines within, we have a shield not of faith but of our own righteousness. Such a shield is red, the works of our hands which are likened to filthy menstrual rags to the Lord (Isa 64:6). The shield we hold before we come to “know He is the Lord” is not the shield of faith. It is a shield of our own making and is no good at stopping the fiery darts of the evil one. The flesh always wars against the Spirit and at first defies the armies of Israel until Christ is sent to do battle.

1Sa 17:45 Then said David to the Philistine, Thou comest to me with a sword, and with a spear, and with a shield: but I come to thee in the name of the LORD of hosts, the God of the armies of Israel, whom thou hast defied.

The armies of the flesh are strong with many horses, horsemen and chariots; all of them carrying these red shields and spears. But the Lord turns us back and uses our sinful carnal flesh to drag us to Him through the very baptism of fire we are learning about here in Nahum.

Eze 38:4 And I will turn thee back, and put hooks into thy jaws, and I will bring thee forth, and all thine army, horses and horsemen, all of them clothed with all sorts of armour, even a great company with bucklers and shields, all of them handling swords:

The reference in Nahum 2:3 to the valiant men, H2428 refers to a strong army.

H2428, chayil, khah’-yil  – From H2342; probably a force, whether of men, means or other resources; an army, wealth, virtue, valor, strength:

If we look at the root word for “the valiant men” we see it is those going through much tribulation, dealing with inner conflict, writing in pain (think childbirth), travailing, waiting patiently……. which is exactly what we do and how we enter into the kingdom.

H2342, chûl    chı̂yl, khool, kheel

A primitive root; properly to twist or whirl (in a circular or spiral manner), that is, (specifically) to dance, to writhe in pain (especially of parturition) or fear; figuratively to wait, to pervert: – bear, (make to) bring forth, (make to) calve, dance, drive away, fall grievously (with pain), fear, form, great, grieve, (be) grievous, hope, look, make, be in pain, be much (sore) pained, rest, shake, shapen, (be) sorrow (-ful), stay, tarry, travail (with pain), tremble, trust, wait carefully (patiently), be wounded.

Here is a good example of the point being made about who these valiant men are having this war raging in their heavens with many horses, chariots and spears being brandished.

Isa 13:8 And they shall be afraid: pangs and sorrows shall take hold of them; they shall be in pain [H2342] as a woman that travaileth: they shall be amazed one at another; their faces shall be as flames.

When we are yet carnal and the king over us is still Abaddon from the bottomless pit of the flesh and we speak out blasphemy the Lord will correct/judge us in our day of the Lord. Here is a great army speaking out of their mouths words of fire and smoke and brimstone that will judge us in the appointed times.

Rev 9:16 And the number of the army of the horsemen were two hundred thousand thousand: and I heard the number of them.
Rev 9:17 And thus I saw the horses in the vision, and them that sat on them, having breastplates of fire, and of jacinth, and brimstone: and the heads of the horses were as the heads of lions; and out of their mouths issued fire and smoke and brimstone.

We know that the heavenly things of the Lord and the Spirit are represented by blue in Scriptures. Scarlet or purple is from the mixture of red (the first man Adam) and blue (the second Adam, the Lord from heaven). The entrance into Christ is through the veil of Christ’s flesh (Heb 10:20), and this is represented in type by the blue and scarlet curtains Moses was instructed to make to be the veil guarding the entry into the tabernacle of God (Exo 26:1).

All the leaven (the lies) must be cleansed from the heavens. The word translated for “scarlet” here in verse 3 [H8529] is only used once in all of Scripture. It is taken from this Hebrew word [H8438] from where we get scarlet, crimson and yes even worms!

When our old man has been, “cursed” by the Lord, all the works of that old man’s hands are being spoiled. One of the curses of disobedience is we are not bearing fruit for Christ. The old man will not gather the grapes in harvest or drink the wine; as the worms of the fleshly carnal mind will eat them up.

Deu 28:39 Thou shalt plant vineyards, and dress them, but shalt neither drink of the wine, nor gather the grapes; for the worms shall eat them.

It is upon a “set day” determined by the Lord that the old man, us, as King Herod in type and shadow, is smote with judgment and is eaten by these worms.

Act 12:23 And immediately the angel of the Lord smote him, because he gave not God the glory: and he was eaten of worms, and gave up the ghost.

This war in our heavens between the things of the flesh and the spirit is never quenched until the Lord comes in the days of our preparing to enter into Christ. “The worm dieth not and the fire is not quenched” is what we must endure through our period of judgment (3 times in Matt 9:42-9:48).

The fiery torches spoken of in this verse are speaking about the Word. Jesus Christ is the Word and He did not come to create unity but He came to divide the five in one house (Luk 12:51-52).  We can see this in the definition of the word “torches”, this again being a word only used here in Nahum one time.

H6393, pelâdâh, pel-aw-daw’

From an unused root meaning to divide; a cleaver, that is, iron armature (of a chariot): – torch.

Total KJV occurrences: 1

A fiery torch is also a “spiritual cleaver” a weapon on a chariot that cuts off and makes these divisions. The Lord is cutting off the old man and the head of the beast. We must be beheaded in our witness for Christ to be counted worthy of being in the first resurrection (Rev 20:4).

Mic 5:10 And it shall come to pass in that day, saith the LORD, that I will cut off thy horses out of the midst of thee, and I will destroy thy chariots:

Tony did a study recently of Psalm 68, where he showed that one of the key words for chariots [H7393] is also a word for millstone. Having a millstone tied around our necks and thrown into the sea is the same as having one’s chariots set on fire (via judgment) by the Word. This is how the old man within is destroyed (dashed to pieces, eaten by worms, etc.) as the Lord remakes the marred vessel that we now see in ourselves. The other main word translated Chariot is H4818 as shown above in Micah and its is taken from H4817 which also means SEAT.

H4818, merkâbâh, mer-kaw-baw’
Feminine of H4817; a chariot: – chariot. See also H1024.
H4817, merkâb, mer-kawb’

From H7392; a chariot; also a seat (in a vehicle): – chariot, covering, saddle.

Destroying the chariots of the old man is destroying the seed of the serpent and cutting off the strength of the old man. The seat of Satan is his throne which is the heart and mind of the beast.  This brings to mind this verse from the NT which aligns with what Nahum is prophesying about.

Rev 16:10 And the fifth angel poured out his vial upon the seat of the beast; and his kingdom was full of darkness; and they gnawed their tongues for pain,

The battle of the mind is the war in heaven that brings salvation. The Lord will destroy the fleshly armor by which we exalt the things of the flesh against the Spirit. The jostling and raging of war by the chariots in the streets is what Paul tells us about here:

2Co 10:3 For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh:
2Co 10:4  For the weapons of our warfare [are] not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;

When the time is truly at hand, the Lord’s chariots will come against the chariots and horsemen of the carnal mind in the whirlwind.

Isa 66:15 For, behold, the LORD will come with fire, and with his chariots like a whirlwind, to render his anger with fury, and his rebuke with flames of fire.

This is the process of salvation, how we are sanctified and the temple is being cleansed.

Isa 66:20 And they shall bring all your brethren for an offering unto the LORD out of all nations upon horses, and in chariots, and in litters, and upon mules, and upon swift beasts, to my holy mountain Jerusalem, saith the LORD, as the children of Israel bring an offering in a clean vessel into the house of the LORD

We have many Scriptures that speak of the jostling of chariots and warfare of the armies in the heavens. They all speak of the same event and process. The left hand and the right hand of the Lord work together to accomplish His will in each of us at the appointed times. Here are some words from Joel whose words Peter prophesied had begun on the day of Pentecost when the Holy Spirit “is, was and will be given” and the fire on the earth was kindled (Luk 12:49).

Joe 2:4 The appearance of them is as the appearance of horses; and as horsemen, so shall they run.
Joe 2:5 Like the noise of chariots on the tops of mountains shall they leap, like the noise of a flame of fire that devoureth the stubble, as a strong people set in battle array.
Joe 2:6 Before their face the people shall be much pained: all faces shall gather blackness.
Joe 2:7 They shall run like mighty men; they shall climb the wall like men of war; and they shall march every one on his ways, and they shall not break their ranks:
Joe 2:8 Neither shall one thrust another; they shall walk every one in his path: and when they fall upon the sword, they shall not be wounded.
Joe 2:9 They shall run to and fro in the city; they shall run upon the wall they shall climb up upon the houses; they shall enter in at the windows like a thief.

The running “to and fro” in the fenced city and climbing the walls is this contention of flesh versus Spirit, the jostling of the chariots, and the warring of the man of sin with the man of the Spirit. All one and the same thing. This is the Lord’s doing initiated through His servant, Satan, which causes us to err and for judgment to come by the Word.

Job 1:6 Now there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the LORD, and Satan came also among them.
Job 1:7 And the LORD said unto Satan, Whence comest thou? Then Satan answered the LORD, and said, From going to and fro in the earth, and from walking up and down in it.

But the chariots pulled by the White Horse ultimately enter in and shall prevail. The Body of Christ is the work-horse of Christ doing these greater works (Joh 14:12).

Rev 19:11 And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war.

Paul tells us the very purpose the Lord gives us the offices of the Church. Anyone not connected to Christ will not be sanctified in this age and will continue to “be tossed to and fro” by the deceptive lies of the adversary and his messengers.

Eph 4:13 Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ:
Eph 4:14 That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive;

The chariots and their riders that run are said by Nahum to seem like lightenings. This is the same word used in this description of the cherubims, the angels of the Lord (The Elect) who are those that speak the Words of fire to those prepared to hear.

Eze 1:13 As for the likeness of the living creatures, their appearance was like burning coals of fire, and like the appearance of lamps: it went up and down among the living creatures; and the fire was bright, and out of the fire went forth lightning.

Rev 8:5 And the angel took the censer, and filled it with fire of the altar, and cast it into the earth: and there were voices, and thunderings, and lightnings, and an earthquake

When we are being prepared for Christ, the Word will work this judgment through this war. This is how Satan will fall and Christ will appear in our heavens.

Mat 24:27 For as the lightning cometh out of the east, and shineth even unto the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.

Luk 10:18 And he said unto them, I beheld Satan as lightning fall from heaven.

It is the Elect of God who speak the words of fire from which the lightening and the thunder come by which Satan is cast out of heaven. The Elect are called the sons of thunder for a reason.

Mar 3:17 And James the son of Zebedee, and John the brother of James; and he surnamed them Boanerges, which is, The sons of thunder:

It is a wonderful thing for the new man to fall into the hands of the living God. If we abide in the Body of Christ and be patient, the Lord is faithful to His promises in completing the good work He starts. Next week will complete Chapter 2 of Nahum, which brings even more clarity to this week’s verses and the Lord destroying the first man Adam and the carnal mind.

GRACE, judgment, Sovereignty

Carnal Questions That Demand Answers

carnal questions

Rom 9:18  Therefore hath he mercy on whom he will have mercy, and whom he will he hardeneth.

Rom 9:19  Thou wilt say then unto me, Why doth he yet find fault?

When we are first exposed to the truth that God is sovereign and is actually causing ALL THINGS, yes even our very sins; we go crazy with all kinds of carnal questions.    This is quite natural and the process of learning the truth of God’s ways takes time.  It takes time for us to grow into knowledge of the grace of God and understanding His ways.  The ways of the Lord are far far different than the ways of  the natural man and indeed we at first think the truths of God’s word as foolishness.

2Pe 3:18  But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.

1Co 2:14  But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.

We really have no appreciation for these verses until much time has passed and we have our carnality burned out of us.

Isa 55:8  For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD.

Isa 55:9  For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.

The purpose of this post is to address a couple of those “carnal questions” as a follow-up to my post on God being responsible for evil in this world. Paul speaking of the true gospel and the salvation of all by faith thru grace was viciously rejected and scorned by the religious of his day. It has not changed my friends, these are experiences and the words of the Lord that we as God’s Elect will live in our appointed times. By preaching the salvation of all men nobody is suggesting or encouraging anyone to continue to do evil and engage in sin. Yet we like Paul, a type and shadow of all God’s Elect,  will be slandered and accused of doing just that.

Rom 3:5 But if our unrighteousness commend the righteousness of God, what shall we say? Is God unrighteous who taketh vengeance? (I speak as a man)
Rom 3:6 God forbid: for then how shall God judge the world?
Rom 3:7 For if the truth of God hath more abounded through my lie unto his glory; why yet am I also judged as a sinner?
Rom 3:8 And not rather, (as we be slanderously reported, and as some affirm that we say,) Let us do evil, that good may come? whose damnation is just.

God’s Elect will never say any such a thing about sin. It is a false accusation that will come to all of God’s Elect. What we do say is that without the intervention of Christ into our inward heavens we have no chance of obeying God in the weakness of sinful flesh. We will speak the truth that when we do fall into sin or stumble that it is the Lord working that sin in us for His good pleasure and purposes.  That is the truth so very few are given to receive.  But what do the Scriptures plainly teach.

Php 2:13  For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure.

Isa 64:8  But now, O LORD, thou art our father; we are the clay, and thou our potter; and we all are the work of thy hand.

Rom 7:17  Now then it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwelleth in me.

Rom 7:18  For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh,) dwelleth no good thing: for to will is present with me; but how to perform that which is good I find not.

While we are still abiding in Babylon, the harlot apostate churches of men that promote another jesus we will not be aware of our sinfulness.  The fact that we are still blind, wretched and naked is far removed from our spiritual vision.  We are blind as bats until the Lord opens our eyes and causes us to see and to hear His word.  We won’t know any of this until our day of judgment arrives and we are given eyes to see the abomination that is causing desolation and our need for a Savior is made perfectly clear to us.

Rev 3:17  Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked:

Mat 24:15  When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:)

2Th 2:3  Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;  (You, me, the old man within all mankind)

Joh 9:39  And Jesus said, For judgment I am come into this world, that they which see not might see; and that they which see might be made blind.

While we are blind and held captive in Babylon, we will fool many that similar to us have the outside of the cup cleaned but inside are still full of dead men’s bones, walking in spiritual death and separated from God all the while claiming to know Him.  We may know him in the flesh but at this point we do not know Him in the Spirit.  Those that claim to be in the truth and teachers of the blind, are those for whom Christ saves His harshest rebuke.

Mat 23:27 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye are like unto whited sepulchres, which indeed appear beautiful outward, but are within full of dead men’s bones, and of all uncleanness.

It is indeed by grace we are saved and not of our works or any delusion of our free will choosing God. God’s Elect will even be falsely accused of exalting themselves for merely speaking the truths that were GIVEN to them. Such is the narrow way and part of the cross we carry in our times.  We are not better than anyone, all men are sold under sin.

Rom 3:9 What then? are we better than they? No, in no wise: for we have before proved both Jews and Gentiles, that they are all under sin;
Rom 3:10 As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one:

But we do have one thing they do not have and that is the gift of faith.  This is indeed GIVEN to very few and with that gift comes the gift of spiritual ears to hear and eyes to see the truth of God’s words.

Mat 13:16  But blessed are your eyes, for they see: and your ears, for they hear.

Mat 13:17  For verily I say unto you, That many prophets and righteous men have desired to see those things which ye see, and have not seen them; and to hear those things which ye hear, and have not heard them.

Without further ado let’s look at the questions.

Question #1 – Let’s just live it up and sin like crazy

The first question of the carnal mind is that if all men are going to be saved, why don’t we just go ahead and live it up to the fullest. Let’s eat, drink and be merry is our most immediate thought.  I can’t tell you how many times this has been asked by those that believe the Lord is going to torment most of His creation forever without end.  An obvious rebuke of such carnal mindedness is to challenge the person asking this question why do they say they love God if they don’t have an overwhelming desire to obey Him?

Luk 6:46 “But why do you call Me ‘Lord, Lord,’ and not do the things which I say?

At the end of the day, the love of God has a definition and that definition is based on obedience.

1Jn 5:3 For this is the love of God, that we keep His commandments. And His commandments are not burdensome.

When we ask these questions we do not understand or believe God’s plans for the ages and the purposes and function of the Elect. Yet without going into that in this post,  the primary causation we ask this carnal question in our walk is that we do not yet understand what God’s grace really is and its function.  We have yet to learn that grace is what chastens. Grace is what scourges us. Grace is the righteousness judgment of God against all our ungodliness.

Tit 2:11 For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men,
Tit 2:12 Teaching (Chastening) us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world;

The word translated TEACHING in Titus 2:12 is the greek word paideuo and it means TO CHASTEN. So sure when we are chastened we learn so the word teaching is not that far off, but it does obscure the real meaning and waters down the point.

So we learn when we are taught, and we are taught when we are chastened. That is the function and purpose of grace, it is how we are CAUSED to obey God in due time.

Heb 5:8 Though he were a Son, yet learned he obedience by the things which he suffered;

Being scourged is not fun. Yet that is what we are told the Lord does to every son He loves and receives unto Himself. We saw it above but it needs to be pounded home thru thick carnal minds.  EVERY SON God loves is scourged and that is actually a blessing because the old man must be killed for the new man to come forth.

Heb 12:6 For whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth, and scourgeth every son whom he receiveth.

So when you understand all men are saved and if true faith has come to you, then judgement has fallen upon your house. You are now under grace and not the law.

1Pe 4:17 For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God?

When this happens in our life, we will not take the attitude of let’s eat, drink and be merry. We will quickly learn that we indeed reap what we sow. DO NOT BE DECEIVED.

Gal 6:7 Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.
Gal 6:8 For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting.

We will learn, be taught, when we are caused to sin and then God bring judgment upon us and we are scourged with great trials and afflictions.

Eze 36:27 And I will put my spirit within you, and cause you (BY GRACE) to walk in my statutes, and ye shall keep my judgments, and do them.

Grace MAKES us obey God in the appointed times.  It is how the old man is put away and the new man arises.

Psa 23:2  He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters.

Once we know this and God’s ways, we should not think it strange when these trials come.  We should count them all as joy, knowing their purpose.

1Pe 4:12 Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened unto you:

Jas 1:2  My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations;

Jas 1:3  Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience.

That is the purpose of the furnace, it is the purpose of the afflictions, that is the true grace of God in action. That is how the old man is decreases and the new man is increased in us. This is how the beast is destroyed by the fire that is the word of God.

Isa 48:10Behold, I have refined thee, but not with silver; I have chosen thee in the furnace of affliction.

Act 14:22Confirming the souls of the disciples, and exhorting them to continue in the faith, and that we must through much tribulation enter into the kingdom of God.

Let’s keep in mind that fire is the WORD of God.  Fire is what saves us (baptism of fire) when it work in us and burns the sin and inequity out of our hearts and minds.  We are saved BY THE FIRE, yet Babylon teaches us salvation means avoiding the fire.  All men will be purified by the fire that is God’s word in the appointed times, which is our ordained day of judgment.  When grace is poured out upon us thru faith,  the old man is not going to make it much longer.  No man or beast can stand.

1Co 3:15 If any man’s work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire.

The beast is no match for Christ and will be destroyed by the fiery grace of God.  So we will learn to truly tremble at the word of God, knowing of His absolute sovereignty. So the carnal reasoning that we will say let’s just go ahead sin so grace may abound is flawed. That is the last thing God’s Elect will be doing or teaching to anyone. We will learn that when we sin, the Lord simply turns up the heat. The Lord will simply ratchet up the grace dial and will keep on doing it until we get it. Eventually, we will learn to fear God and will be given the faith to stop sinning. That is how it works friends and it is a long process.

Rom 5:20 Moreover the law entered, that the offence might abound. But where sin abounded, grace did much more abound:
Rom 5:21 That as sin hath reigned unto death, even so might grace reign through righteousness unto eternal life by Jesus Christ our Lord.
Rom 6:1 What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound?
Rom 6:2 God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein?

I guarantee you will not have the attitude of let’s sin so grace may abound once you are given ears to hear and eyes to see. When you understand free will is strong delusion you will be crying and sighing over all the abominations and sin committed in your spiritual house. Because you know this is against the commands of the Lord and you have the certain expectation of ongoing fiery judgment, there is no escape, we reap what we sow.

Heb 10:26 For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins,
Heb 10:27 But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation (IE GRACE POURED OUT UPON YOU), which shall devour the (inward) adversaries (of sin and rebellion)
Heb 10:28 He that despised Moses’ law died without mercy under two or three witnesses:
Heb 10:29 Of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy, who hath trodden under foot the Son of God, and hath counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and hath done despite unto the Spirit of grace?
Heb 10:30 For we know him that hath said, Vengeance belongeth unto me, I will recompense, saith the Lord. And again, The Lord shall judge his people.
Heb 10:31 It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.

When you truly understand grace, then you will begin to be taught the fear of the Lord.  You will know that the Lord will have vengeance and you will get away with no sin.  If you sin, the dial on the furnace is simply increased.  Oh thank God for these wonderful works of God to the children of men,  they will teach you to fear God in due time.

Deu 4:10  Specially the day that thou stoodest before the LORD thy God in Horeb, when the LORD said unto me, Gather me the people together, and I will make them hear my words, that they may learn to fear me all the days that they shall live upon the earth, and that they may teach their children.

Isa 33:6  And wisdom and knowledge shall be the stability of thy times, and strength of salvation: the fear of the LORD is his treasure.

These verses above from Hebrews 10 are used by many that are blinded to the truth of the salvation of all men. These are used to support the lie of eternal hell but what this is speaking about is the righteous judgment of God and that is the way we are saved. Understanding that salvation is the method we are delivered of our sins, meaning we no longer commit them and are given power to rule over sin is key. God’s plan has never changed, it was always the way we are to be redeemed and remade into children of the most high God.

Exo 6:6 Wherefore say unto the children of Israel, I am the LORD, and I will bring you out from under the burdens of the Egyptians, and I will rid you out of their bondage, and I will redeem you with a stretched out arm, and with great judgments (MUCH CHASTENING GRACE, MUCH SCOURGING OF THE OLD MAN):

It is this process of having God’s wrath poured out upon our sins and inequities, i.e. GRACE that chasten, that teaches….. that we learn the fear of the Lord. We won’t learn this until we are in the midst of God’s Elect and the chastening grace of God’s judgment is upon His house. Knowing these truths about grace will eliminate any carnal thoughts that we might as well eat, drink and be merry.  It is indeed a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.

Now let’s consider a second yet related question our carnal minds focus on when hearing of God’s truths.

Carnal Question #2
– Then Why Does God Find Fault

The second carnal question is why does the Lord judge us and bring punishment upon us when He is the one that is causing us to sin.  Since He is the Potter and we the clay, why does He still find fault with us when we stumble? A very good questions which demands an answer and one we best know to walk the narrow way.

This section of Romans 9 addresses this question and provides the proper answer. We are told the Lord has mercy on some and hardens the hearts of others against His ways and His word.  Why does He then find fault since nobody is resisting God’s will. God’s will is being done all the time, we truly are the works of His hands.

Rom 9:18 Therefore hath he mercy on whom he will have mercy, and whom he will he hardeneth.
Rom 9:19 Thou wilt say then unto me, Why doth he yet find fault? For who hath resisted his will?

The Lord has a method to His seeming madness.  As I wrote about in the post Who Is Responsible For Evil,  our purpose in this life is to learn good and evil, that is a necessary step to become like God.

Gen 3:22  And the LORD God said, Behold, the man is become as one of us, to know good and evil: and now, lest he put forth his hand, and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live for ever:

When we complain and grumble to the Lord about what He is doing in our lives, we are contending with God.  He knows what He is doing and we need to have faith and to believe and know that whomsoever will wait on the Lord will not be ashamed in the end.  He will be faithful to His promises and will indeed finish the good works He has started in this age in the lives of His Elect.  We all like JOB will contend with the Lord but it is thru these very contentions that we will be judged and will learn the truth.

Rom 9:20 Nay but, O man, who art thou that repliest against God? Shall the thing formed say to him that formed it, Why hast thou made me thus?
Rom 9:21 Hath not the potter power over the clay, of the same lump to make one vessel unto honour, and another unto dishonour?

To convert us from carnal Christians to the new man that walks in the Spirit a lot of lies have to be burned out of us.  We have to learn that the Lord really is the Lord and that we of ourselves can indeed do nothing.  This is such a pivotal verse I often cite and I do hope you are beginning to get it.

Joh 15:5  I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.

The real answer on why God finds fault is so He can bring judgment upon us.  It pleases Him to crush His sons, in the flesh and to destroy the old man and carnal nature of the first vessel made from the clay.  The Babylonian lie of the fall of mankind also is blown up by the truth of knowing and believing the Lord really is the Potter and has a two step process in store for all men.  The Lord has to cause your ears to be open to hear it.

Jer 18:5  Then the word of the LORD came to me, saying,

Jer 18:6  O house of Israel (God’s Elect)  cannot I do with you as this potter? saith the LORD. Behold, as the clay is in the potter’s hand, so are ye in mine hand, O house of Israel.

So Paul continues in Romans 9 and tells us the mystery of how Christ is formed in us and the old man is destroyed and the man brought forward.  This is the purpose of God finding fault.

Rom 9:22 What if God, willing to shew his wrath, and to make his power known, endured with much longsuffering the vessels of wrath fitted to destruction:
Rom 9:23 And that he might make known the riches of his glory on the vessels of mercy, which he had afore prepared unto glory,

Lord of Heaven & Earth

The purpose of God finding fault is to bring judgment and the purpose of judgment is to teach us His ways and to reveal Himself to us and remake us so that we are partakers of His Holiness.

Heb 12:10 For they verily for a few days chastened us after their own pleasure; but he for our profit, that we might be partakers of his holiness.

Flesh and blood is not entering into the kingdom of God.  Experiencing fiery grace is for our profit just as this Scripture tells us.  It must go and thus the requirement for all of us to be remade and go through the fiery judgment of God against our flesh.    During this process, we are going to learn that being Lord truly means He is the Lord of all things and most certainly the inward heavens and the earth that represent each of us lumps of clay made of the earth.

Deu_4:39  Know therefore this day, and consider it in thine heart, that the LORD he is God in heaven above, and upon the earth beneath: there is none else.

Perhaps you can begin to apply these physical words in the spirit and look inside where the kingdom of God actually resides.

Isa_66:1  Thus saith the LORD, The heaven is my throne, and the earth is my footstool: where is the house that ye build unto me? and where is the place of my rest?

1Ch_29:11  Thine, O LORD, is the greatness, and the power, and the glory, and the victory, and the majesty: for all that is in the heaven and in the earth is thine; thine is the kingdom, O LORD, and thou art exalted as head above all.

This process of judgment starts with the house of God (the Elect or the House of Israel etc) but all men will in due time learn righteousness when judgment is fallen upon them.

1Pe 4:17 For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God?

Isa 26:9 With my soul have I desired thee in the night; yea, with my spirit within me will I seek thee early: for when thy judgments are in the earth, the inhabitants of the world will learn righteousness.

It is a good thing the Lord finds fault, otherwise we would not learn His ways.  Think about how a child in the natural learns or we learn on the job.  We learn by doing, by making mistakes and being corrected.  It is no different in the spiritual.  When we fall down and sin, the Lord brings chastening which is judgment and that comes in the form of afflictions and tribulation.

Psa 119:71 It is good for me that I have been afflicted; that I might learn thy statutes.

Act 14:22  Confirming the souls of the disciples, and exhorting them to continue in the faith, and that we must through much tribulation enter into the kingdom of God.

These judgments of the Lord bring afflictions to the old man and are necessary to destroy the beast and our carnal nature that puts, ME MYSELF and I as numero uno, all the while we claim to serve the Lord.  What will help align all Scripture is your coming to see that judgment is good, very good. It is the process by which we are changed into the likeness and image of Christ. Without it we could never learn obedience and let’s remember how we learn obedience.

Heb 5:8 Though he were a Son, yet learned he obedience by the things which he suffered;

Psa 119:7  I will praise thee with uprightness of heart, when I shall have learned thy righteous judgments.

Christ, meaning His Body, the Elect;  all learn obedience by the things we suffer. This is the mystery of how Christ is formed in all men in their appointed time.  It starts with the Body of Christ filling up in the afflictions of Christ for the sake of the church.  This comes about by judgment and that is why the Lord is in the fault finding business, to teach us.  This is a great mystery, a secret that few are given the spiritual eyes to see and ears to hear yet it is right in our Bibles.

Col 1:24  Who now rejoice in my sufferings for you, and fill up that which is behind of the afflictions of Christ in my flesh for his body’s sake, which is the church:

Col 1:25  Whereof I am made a minister, according to the dispensation of God which is given to me for you, to fulfil the word of God;

Col 1:26  Even the mystery which hath been hid from ages and from generations, but now is made manifest to his saints:

Col 1:27  To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory:

Whoever said the finished works of Jesus Christ on the cross means you don’t have to suffer and die is a liar and knows not the Lord.  Anyone telling you about a rapture and that you are saved from God’s judgment is blind as a bat.

Judgment is good, very good, sweeter than honey and it is how the new man is formed and the old man is decreased in all of us.

Psa 19:9 The fear of the LORD is clean, enduring for ever: the judgments of the LORD are true and righteous altogether.
Psa 19:10 More to be desired are they than gold, yea, than much fine gold: sweeter also than honey and the honeycomb.
Psa 19:11 Moreover by them is thy servant warned: and in keeping of them there is great reward.

Judgment is how we learn the fear of God and this is what causes us to obey in due season.  So God finding fault with us and bringing judgment is a very good thing.   Psalm 119 has many verses that tell of this mysterious truth.

Psa 119:39  Turn away my reproach which I fear: for thy judgments are good.

Psa 119:66  Teach me good judgment and knowledge: for I have believed thy commandments.

Psa 119:67  Before I was afflicted I went astray: but now have I kept thy word.

Psa 119:71  It is good for me that I have been afflicted; that I might learn thy statutes.

With God’s judgment, comes afflictions and these are designed to benefit the new man.  Those wise in the ways of the Lord will come to see how the Lord works His mysteries and brings forth Christ in us thru much tribulation and afflictions of all kinds.

Psa 119:75  I know, O LORD, that thy judgments are right, and that thou in faithfulness hast afflicted me.

Psa 119:76  Let, I pray thee, thy merciful kindness be for my comfort, according to thy word unto thy servant.

We may not know it now or feel joyful now in the midst of our trials and afflictions when our Loving Father brings His wrath and fury against our sins and wicked nature.  One day though we will be able to look back, once salvation has come to us and be very glad the Lord loved us enough to bring His wrath and anger against our sins. I just saw this gem over in Psalms.

Psa 90:15  Make us glad according to the days wherein thou hast afflicted us, and the years wherein we have seen evil.

Which also reminds us of what the purpose of this life is all about.

Ecc 1:13 I applied my heart to inquiring and exploring by wisdom concerning all that is done under the heavens:it is an experience of evil Elohim has given to the sons of humanity to humble them by it.

Some of these things are hard to understand at first so please ask if you have sincere questions.  The scriptures are not broken, they tell this wonderful truth from Genesis to Revelation.

The only way to come to know the Lord is thru the process of judgment. I have written extensively on this topic but if you will just search for the phrase “know the Lord” or “know I am the Lord” you will see the context is always, 100% of the time, the old man within us, the beast that all flesh is, being judged by having the wrath of God poured out upon us. Here is a link to an older post focused on that topic.

Pressing Onward To the Highest Calling of God

So I hope you can now understand the purposes of the Lord in finding fault when we sin and stray from His ways.  Even though He is the one causing it and working that in our lives;  it is by the process of Him bringing judgement upon us that we learn His ways and become like Him, knowing good and evil.  The Lord works evil for good and that really is the mystery of how Christ is formed in us and we learn good and evil.

Gen 50:20  But as for you, ye thought evil against me; but God meant it unto good, to bring to pass, as it is this day, to save much people alive.

All men will go thru this process.  The only thing that separates the Elect is that we will be judged in this life while still in fleshly bodies.  We will experience our death to the old man and carnal mind first.  We will then be in the first resurrection and will be used to bring the rest of mankind thru the process of judgment at the second resurrection.  It is a very good thing that we be judged now, it is far better than being judged later with the rest of the world.

1Co 11:31 For if we would judge ourselves, we should not be judged.
1Co 11:32 But when we are judged, we are chastened of the Lord, that we should not be condemned with the world.

Far greater honor to be a priest and king of the Lord and to rule and reign with Him for the Millennium Reign and then be the judges of the world and bring the knowledge of Christ to all mankind.  That is why we press onward and upward for the higher calling of God.  That is why we as God’s Elect depart from inequity and strive to not be disqualified for such a great reward.  Here are three scriptures that speak of the critical role and function given to the very few that are God’s Very Elect.

1Co 6:2  Do ye not know that the saints shall judge the world? and if the world shall be judged by you, are ye unworthy to judge the smallest matters?

1Co 6:3  Know ye not that we shall judge angels? how much more things that pertain to this life?

Mat 19:28  And Jesus said unto them, Verily I say unto you, That ye which have followed me, in the regeneration when the Son of man shall sit in the throne of his glory, ye also shall sit upon twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel (all mankind in the end)
