The Peace Offering

The Peace Offering

(notes compiled from prior church teachings)

We continue in this series showing how the old testament shadows of spiritual reality were written for the admonition of the Elect who would come on the scene beginning at Pentecost.

1Co 10:11  Now all these things (including the giving of the physical offerings) happened unto them for ensamples: and they are written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the world are come.

Finding peace with God and entering into His Rest requires that we understand these OT shadows and believe and trust in the Lord who is working all things in our life including both the good and the evil.  As our faith grows as we will see, this offering nourishes everyone in the Body of Christ.

We see the Peace Offering have different grades, it is offered upon a Burnt Offering and with leavened cakes. The Priest, the Priest’s children, the Offerer, all partake of this Offering. The Lord has His part in this Offering and we will look at how God, the Father, views this Offering. This Offering furthermore has two reasons being offered namely for thanksgiving and a “vow” being made.

The Different Grades of the Peace Offering:

The only grades in the Peace Offering are of the herd and of the flock. The Peace Offering can be of the herd, male or female, or it can be a lamb or a goat of the flocks.

It is of the herd and of the flock:

Lev 3:1 And if his oblation be a sacrifice of peace offering, if he offers it  of the herd; whether it be a male or female, he shall offer it without  blemish before the LORD.

Lev 3:6  And if his offering for a sacrifice of peace offering unto the LORD be of the flock; male or female, he shall offer it without blemish.

Lev 3:7  If he offer a lamb for his offering, then shall he offer it before the LORD.

We have seen in previous studies that different grades of an Offering show us the difference between a babe in Christ and those that are being made mature. As babes, we have a different view of Christ than a mature man in Christ, dying daily, doing the Word versus hearing the Word only. Mary Magdalene had seven devils (false doctrines) cast out of her as a babe in Christ. The Mary Magdalene that was witnessing to the disciples in Joh 20:18 that she ….. has seen the Lord and that he spoken these things to her was not the same woman as the one she was when she was first healed of her false doctrines.

Luk 8:2 And certain women, which had been healed of evil spirits and infirmities, Mary called Magdalene, out of whom went seven devils,

The Peace Offering is offered upon a Burnt Offering:

Lev 3:5 And Aaron’s sons shall burn it on the altar upon the burnt sacrifice, which is upon the wood that is on the fire: it is an offering made by fire, of a sweet savour unto the LORD.

There is no turtle dove given as a Peace Offering. There are no washings of the different parts of the Offering. There are no restrictions of this Offering being a bullock only. Here are the only instructions given for offering the Peace Offering so far as the Offerer is concerned:

Lev 3:2 And he shall lay his hand upon the head of his offering, and kill it at the door of the tabernacle of the congregation: and Aaron’s sons   the priests shall sprinkle the blood upon the altar round about (of the herd).

Lev 3:8 And he shall lay his hand upon the head of his offering, and kill  it before the tabernacle of the congregation: and Aaron’s sons shall  sprinkle the blood thereof round about upon the altar (of the flock).

All the details given as we saw it in the Burnt Offering are missing and left out in the Peace Offering. Why is that? The reason being that those who understand this Offering already understand that the Burnt Offering belongs to God, the Father, which tells us that we are being judged FIRST, and that we are a kind of first fruits of His creatures. The Burnt Offering shows, prepares and baptizes us into Christ’s death who is FIRST IN ALL THINGS.

We are being judged from the north as it is TODAY in our Day of the Lord. Those eating at His altar know these things. So, the distinctions in the Burnt Offering are not mentioned in the Peace Offering, which nourishes God, Christ, the Offerer, the Priest and His children. In the Peace Offering we feast with Christ and His Father, we are “accepted in the Beloved,” we are communing with, and being interceded for IN and THROUGH Christ and “His Christ”.

When the Peace Offering is being offered with leavened bread:

Lev 7:11  And this is the law of the sacrifice of peace offerings, which he shall offer unto the LORD.

Lev 7:12  If he offer it for a thanksgiving, then he shall offer with the sacrifice of thanksgiving unleavened cakes mingled with oil, and unleavened wafers anointed with oil, and cakes mingled with oil, of fine flour, fried.

Lev 7:13  Besides the cakes, he shall offer for his offering leavened bread with the sacrifice of thanksgiving of his peace offerings.

We have seen that the Priests are partakers of the Burnt and Meat Offerings and that no Meat Offering can be made with leaven. Here is the Scripture:

Lev 2:11 No meat offering, which ye shall bring unto the LORD, shall be made with leaven: for ye shall burn no leaven, nor any honey, in   any offering of the LORD made by fire.

The Offerer has no part in either of the Burnt of Meat Offerings. Only in THIS Offering does the Offerer receive strength and nourishment. This Offering gives US strength and nourishment to “endure to the end”. We have a Body to carry us on eagle’s wings and although we have HYPOCRISY/LEAVEN in our hearts, we are ACCEPTED IN CHRIST!

1Co 12:12 (CLV) For even as the body is one and has many members, yet all the members of the one body, being many, are one body, thus also is the Christ.”

1Co 12:13 For in one spirit also we all are baptized into one body, whether Jews or Greeks, whether slaves or free, and all are made to imbibe one spirit.” [male or female – Gal.  3:28]

1Co 12:14 For the body also is not one member, but many.”

We are satisfied with our part in “the Christ” because FAITH is a gift and we are all being like the Lord (1 John 4:17) who was bruised for our sakes. Nothing is of us.

Isa 53:5 But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised  for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and  with his stripes we are healed.

The Father was satisfied with Christ in His Day of Judgment:

2Co 5:21 For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that  we might be made the righteousness of God in him.

Eph 1:6 To the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made   us accepted in the beloved.

This means we rejoice in our sufferings for the Church, filling up what is behind of the afflictions of Christ (Col 1:24-28).

We “know that I am in my Father, and ye in me, and I in you”. Our sense of acceptance and our sense of communion with God, the Father, depends upon how deeply we accept Christ as being SATISFACTORY and satisfying to His Father.

Joh 14:20 At that day ye shall know that I am in my Father, and ye in me, and I in you.

If we see Christ as accepted then we, “IN Him “are accepted and satisfying and satisfactory to God, the Father. Through partaking of Christ as the Peace Offering, we are nourished and strengthened in a way that takes us beyond fear of wrath, fear of our sins and trespasses. This Offering tells us that God, the Father, is satisfied with Christ. When we take our part of this Offering, we too are satisfied with Christ and “His Christ”. ALL parties partake of Christ:

Heb 10:8  Above when he said, Sacrifice and offering and burnt offerings and offering for sin thou wouldest not, neither hadst pleasure therein; which are offered by the law;

Heb 10:9  Then said he, Lo, I come to do thy will, O God. He taketh away the first, that he may establish the second.

Heb 10:10  By the which will we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.

Heb 13:10  We have an altar, whereof they have no right to eat which serve the tabernacle.

We are acceptable to the Father through Christ and “His Christ”!

1Pe 2:5 Ye also, as lively stones, are built up a spiritual house, an holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus Christ.

The Lord’s part in both the grades of the herd and the flock:

Lev 3:3  And he shall offer of the sacrifice of the peace offering an offering made by fire unto the LORD; the fat that covereth the inwards, and all the fat that is upon the inwards,

Lev 3:4  And the two kidneys, and the fat that is on them, which is by the flanks, and the caul above the liver, with the kidneys, it shall he take away.

Lev 3:6  And if his offering for a sacrifice of peace offering unto the LORD be of the flock; male or female, he shall offer it without blemish….

Lev 3:9  And he shall offer of the sacrifice of the peace offering an offering made by fire unto the LORD; the fat thereof, and the whole rump, it shall he take off hard by the backbone; and the fat that covereth the inwards, and all the fat that is upon the inwards,

Lev 3:10  And the two kidneys, and the fat that is upon them, which is by the flanks, and the caul above the liver, with the kidneys, it shall he take away….

Lev 3:12  And if his offering be a goat, then he shall offer it before the LORD…

Lev 3:14  And he shall offer thereof his offering, even an offering made by fire unto the LORD; the fat that covereth the inwards, and all the fat that is upon the inwards,

Lev 3:15  And the two kidneys, and the fat that is upon them, which is by the flanks, and the caul above the liver, with the kidneys, it shall he take away.

Lev 3:16  And the priest shall burn them upon the altar: it is the food of the offering made by fire for a sweet savour: all the fat is the LORD’S.

Lev 3:17  It shall be a perpetual statute for your generations throughout all your dwellings, that ye eat neither fat nor blood.

The Lord’s part in the Peace Offering is the fat (and the inwards and the rump). FAT symbolizes the health of the animal. We are BEING cleansed and healed through Christ and “His Christ”. We are His workmanship and He works all matters according to His will. Christ is satisfied and nourished by His Bride, His seed, accounted to Him for a generation. He sees the beginning and the end and everything in between!

Eph 2:10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto  good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.

Psa 22:30 A seed shall serve him; it shall be accounted to the Lord for  a generation. 31 They shall come, and shall declare his righteousness  unto a people that shall be born, that he hath done this.

The Offerer’s Part:

The Offerer gets the left shoulder, the back and the ribs. Through this Offering three parties are satisfied and nourished and strengthened. Everybody partake of this Offering. The Lord gets the inwards and the fat and the whole rump; the Priest and his sons get the right shoulder and the heave breast. The Offerer shares his Peace Offering with “all that be clean”.

Lev 7:19 And the flesh that toucheth any unclean thing shall not be eaten; it shall be burnt with fire: and as for the flesh, all that be clean  shall eat thereof.

We share Christ with God, and are nourished by Christ with God; God shares and is nourished by Christ with us; Christ Himself shares Himself with us and with God, the Father. Sharing Christ with His Father is communion. Telling our Father how much we see and appreciate all that He is accomplishing in us through the sacrifice of His Son; even asking to have so much of His Son grow up in us that we are exactly like Him in our Father’s eyes. Communion is sharing. The Father shares His Perfect Son with us. Only then are we “delivered from the law”. Only then will we go beyond our concern of suffering God’s wrath and begin to see that there is a relationship to be had which needs to be nourished and fed and enjoyed in feasting. That feasting is sharing Christ, both with Christ, “His Christ” and with His Father. Then we come to realize that they, too, find nourishment and satisfaction in that same PERFECT meal. As the children of God, we remember that it is better to give than to receive, Paul received the sweet-smelling Offering from Epaphroditus, an Offering acceptable to God.

Col 3:14 And above all these things put on charity, which is the bond of perfectness.

Php 4:18 But I have all, and abound: I am full, having received of Epaphroditus the things which were sent from you, an odour of a sweet smell, a sacrifice acceptable, well pleasing to God.

The Priest’s Part in the Peace Offering:

Lev 7:31  And the priest shall burn the fat upon the altar: but the breast shall be Aaron’s and his sons’.

Lev 7:32  And the right shoulder shall ye give unto the priest for an heave offering of the sacrifices of your peace offerings.

Lev 7:33  He among the sons of Aaron, that offereth the blood of the peace offerings, and the fat, shall have the right shoulder for his part.

Lev 7:34  For the wave breast and the heave shoulder have I taken of the children of Israel from off the sacrifices of their peace offerings, and have given them unto Aaron the priest and unto his sons by a statute for ever from among the children of Israel.

Lev 7:35  This is the portion of the anointing of Aaron, and of the anointing of his sons, out of the offerings of the LORD made by fire, in the day when he presented them to minister unto the LORD in the priest’s office;

In the Peace Offering we feast with Christ, our Priest and Mediator, and with His and our Father. In Christ, we can commune with both. To understand this, we must see Christ as He is presented to us in all the Offerings. He is the Offering, He is the Offerer, and He is the Priest and Mediator. He is everything but the Father “of whom are all things.” We are being made into priests and all things too because we are like Him in down payment form.

1Jn 4:17 Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as he is, so are we in this world.

Joh 14:28 Ye have heard how I said unto you, I go away, and come again unto you. If ye loved me, ye would rejoice, because I said, I go unto the Father: for my Father is greater than I.

Seeing this communion which, through Him, we have with the Father, satisfies and nourishes the Lord. Everyone, including Christ Himself, finds satisfaction “in Christ” as the Peace Offering. As Priests, we are satisfied because through us as the Peace Offering in down payment form, others have communion with Christ and His and our Father (all those that are clean). We are BEING MADE Priests after the POWER of an endless life, being born again, like the wind (John 3:7).

Heb 7:16  Who is made, not after the law of a carnal commandment, but after the power of an endless life.

Heb 7:17  For he testifieth, Thou art a priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec.

Children of the Priest:

There is one other party who also partakes of this Offering, namely the Priest’s children:

Lev 7:31 And the priest shall burn the fat upon the altar: but the breast  shall be Aaron’s and his sons’.

Num 18:9  This shall be thine of the most holy things, reserved from the fire: every oblation of theirs, every meat offering of theirs, and every sin offering of theirs, and every trespass offering of theirs, which they shall render unto me, shall be most holy for thee and for thy sons.

Num 18:10  In the most holy place shalt thou eat it; every male shall eat it: it shall be holy unto thee.

Num 18:11  And this is thine; the heave offering of their gift, with all the wave offerings of the children of Israel: I have given them unto thee, and to thy sons and to thy daughters with thee, by a statute forever: every one that is clean in thy house shall eat of it.

Who are the children of the Priest? If the Priest is Christ, then His children are His Church, His Bride. As Christ is presented to us in many different forms which are needed to portray to us His many functions as Sacrifice, Offering, Offerer, Temple, Altar, Vail and Vessels and Chief Cornerstone, etc., so too, is the Church, which is His body, also presented to us in many different forms. The Church is also called His body, lively stones, the son of the bondwoman, the son of the freewoman, the first Adam, the last Adam, Israel according to the flesh and the Israel of God, the vail of the temple, His bride, ten virgins, the olive trees, the fig tree, Jerusalem and New Jerusalem, etc. Each name reveals another aspect of the Church, or another degree of maturity in Christ. Within it means our “renewing mindset” as He increases and we decrease. “These are all the children of the Priest”. To partake of this Offering at all, “the sons of Aaron and his daughters” have to partake of the offering WITH the Priest. If this Offering is received it is THROUGH, the Priests.

So, it is to this day, we receive of Christ ONLY through the Word and THROUGH “The Christ”. The Church is in communion with Christ and His Father THROUGH the Offering of Christ/Living Word. The Church is, with the Priest, receiving nourishment and intercession through Christ in the presence of God in the Holy of Holies, where only the Priests can go. There is a qualifier when it comes to the Priests and their children:

Num 18:11 (b) I have given them unto thee, and to thy sons and to thy  daughters with thee, by a statute forever: every one that is clean in thy  house shall eat of it.

This is a spiritual statement about spiritual food:

Joh 4:24 God is Spirit: and they that worship him must worship  [him] in spirit and in truth.

Worshipping in Spirit and Truth means to remember the cup which we all partake of:

1Co 11:24  And when he had given thanks, he brake it, and said, Take, eat: this is my body, which is broken for you: this do in remembrance of me.

1Co 11:25  After the same manner also he took the cup, when he had supped, saying, This cup is the new testament in my blood: this do ye, as oft as ye drink it, in remembrance of me.

1Co 11:26  For as often as ye eat this bread, and drink this cup, ye do shew the Lord’s death till he come.

1Co 11:27  Wherefore whosoever shall eat this bread, and drink this cup of the Lord, unworthily, shall be guilty of the body and blood of the Lord.

1Co 11:28  But let a man examine himself, and so let him eat of that bread, and drink of that cup.

1Co 11:29  For he that eateth and drinketh unworthily, eateth and drinketh damnation to himself, not discerning the Lord’s body.

Only a “clean Priest and his children” are permitted to partake of communion with God.

Anything unclean is under the curse of attempting to contaminate the “most holy thing,” Christ and “His Christ”. That is why when we are informed that we have an altar at which those who serve the tabernacle have no right to eat, the verse before that is warning us against false doctrines (Heb 13:9-10). Nepios, immature sons, no better than a servant, though they are children of the Priest are unclean. They (US in our seasons) will not go beyond the six milk doctrines of Hebrew 6, or worse still we are so puffed up in our own spirituality that we “go beyond that which is written.” We have to judge ourselves constantly:

1Co 11:31 For if we would judge ourselves [try our own spirits], we should not be judged.

1Co 11:32 But when we are judged, we are   chastened of the Lord, that we should not be condemned with the world.

“Not discerning the Lord’s Body” is not “trying the spirits,” it is not “judging ourselves,” it is “eating and drinking unworthily.’

Heb 13:9 Be not carried about with divers and strange doctrines. For  it is a good thing that the heart be established with grace [trials,  chastening]; not with meats [false doctrines], which have not profited  them that have been occupied therein.

Heb 13:10 We [if we are clean   children of the Priest] have an altar, whereof they have no right to eat  which serve the tabernacle.

God, the Father, in the Peace Offering:

We as the Priest’s children in our Day of the Lord, rule the nations within and at the appointed time without and be God’s channel, through and by CHRIST/THE LIVING WORD and “His Christ”, to bring all mankind of all time into the All in ALL. This is what we are SHARING with God, the Father, and with Christ in this Peace Offering.

Eph 3:21 Unto him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen

It is all done “in Christ Jesus.” And it is all that the Father is doing from before the foundation of the world.

Eph 2:18 For through him we both have access by one Spirit unto the Father.

Phi 3:10 That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and  the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death;

Col 1:16  For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him:

Col 1:17  And he is before all things, and by him all things consist.

Col 1:18  And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the preeminence.

Col 1:19  For it pleased the Father that in him should all fulness dwell;

How does “all fullness dwell” in Christ? How is “all in all” attained?

Eph 1:22 And hath put all things under his feet, and gave him to be the   head over all things to the church, 23 Which is his body, the fullness of him that filleth all in all.

Col 1:22 In the body of his flesh through death, to present you holy and unblameable and unreproveable in his sight:

Heb 13:15 By him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to his name.

If we eat a meal in communion with our friends in this life, and if we notice and miss them in their absence, how much more are we to enjoy and appreciate our communion with our Priest, Christ, and “His Christ “and our heavenly Father. And how much more does the Lord appreciate our friendship and communion with Himself and with His Father and ours.

Luk 22:14  And when the hour was come, he sat down, and the twelve apostles with him.

Luk 22:15  And he said unto them, With desire I have desired to eat this passover with you before I suffer:

Two Different Reasons for offering a Peace Offering:

  1. A) The first reason we offer a Peace Offering is for giving thanks, a freewill Offering, a gift, giving out of our abundance because freely we receive, freely we give (Matt 10:8).

Lev 7:12 If he offer it for a thanksgiving, then he shall offer with the sacrifice of thanksgiving unleavened cakes mingled with oil, and unleavened wafers anointed with oil, and cakes mingled with oil, of fine flour, fried.

Lev 7:13 Besides the cakes, he shall offer [for] his  offering leavened bread with the sacrifice of thanksgiving of his peace offerings.

“Leavened bread WITH the sacrifice of thanksgiving is accepted with the sacrifice of the Peace Offering being offered as a freewill Offering and show us that while the Church is flesh and “cannot inherit the Kingdom”, our Priest, Christ, IDENTIFIES with us and is nourished with us in our communion with Him. The Church is the “leavened bread” of the Pentecost Offering. We have the Spirit in down payment form (Eph 1:13-14) and are being redeemed as such. We are being shown that we, the Church, are still in a “body of this death … sinful flesh”.

Rom 8:23 And not only they, but ourselves also, which have the first fruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for the adoption, to wit, the redemption of our body  (Also Heb 9:15).

The state of our beings as we approach God as His “sweet smelling savor …. Peace Offering” IS LACKING in its parts because salvation is a PROCESS. Christ is IN us, Christ, the treasure in earthen vessels, is “accepted IN the Beloved” as an “unblemished … without spot” Offering, Christ in us in THIS capacity of His office and Offering, is invariably as “either a bullock or a lamb … [have some] thing superfluous or lacking in his parts”.

Lev 22:23 Either a bullock or a lamb that hath anything superfluous or  lacking in his parts, that mayest thou offer [for] a freewill offering; but  for a vow it shall not be accepted.

All of us, as sinful flesh, are “either a BULLOCK or a LAMB that hath anything superfluous or lacking in his parts”. We are the Temple of God (1 Co 3:16 17) and we offer polluted bread on His altar. The sick and the lame is our halfhearted service to the Lord. Hearers only, warming ourselves by the fire, we say … His Table is contemptible ……

Mal 1:7 Ye offer polluted bread upon mine altar; and ye say, Wherein have we polluted thee? In that ye say, The table of the LORD is contemptible.

Mal 1:8  And if ye offer the blind for sacrifice, is it not evil? and if ye offer the lame and sick, is it not evil? offer it now unto thy governor; will he be pleased with thee, or accept thy person? saith the LORD of hosts.

  1. B) The second reason offering the Peace Offering is for making a vow, which shows us the trustworthiness, faithfulness CHRIST, who is the Way, the faithful WITNESS:

Lev 7:16  But if the sacrifice of his offering be a vow, or a voluntary offering, it shall be eaten the same day that he offereth his sacrifice: and on the morrow also the remainder of it shall be eaten:

Lev 7:17  But the remainder of the flesh of the sacrifice on the third day shall be burnt with fire.

Lev 7:18  And if any of the flesh of the sacrifice of his peace offerings be eaten at all on the third day, it shall not be accepted, neither shall it be imputed unto him that offereth it: it shall be an abomination, and the soul that eateth of it shall bear his iniquity.

Lev 7:19  And the flesh that toucheth any unclean thing shall not be eaten; it shall be burnt with fire: and as for the flesh, all that be clean shall eat thereof.

“All that be clean” points to trying the spirits to see whether our spiritual food is of Christ (2 John 1:10 and 1 John 4:1).

1Co 10:21 Ye cannot drink the cup of the Lord, and the cup of devils: ye cannot be partakers of the Lord’s table, and of the table of devils.

The morning (Psa 49:14-15) and the “third day” (Luk 13:32, 1 Co 15:4, Hos 6:2) are symbols for resurrection from the dead, when Christ comes with His holy angels, “is, was and will be” and no flesh remains, all wood, hay and stubble are being burnt up. We are BEING RAISED UP from the state of DEATH/DISOBDIENCE.

Exo 12:10 And ye shall let nothing of it remain until the morning; and that which remaineth of it until the morning ye shall burn with fire.

Rom 13:11 And that, knowing the time, that now [it is] high time to awake out of sleep: for now, [is] our salvation [Christ, is the resurrection John 11:25] nearer than when we believed.

Rom 6:4 Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that  like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father,   even so we also should walk in newness of life.

Leaven is not accepted in the Peace Offering given for a vow.

Lev 22:23 Either a bullock or a lamb that hath anything superfluous or  lacking in his parts, that mayest thou offer [for] a freewill offering; but for a vow it shall not be accepted.

Both the Meat Offering at Pentecost and the Peace Offering given as a freewill Offering typify Christ IN His elect. Neither typify Him as our UNBLEMISHED SACRIFICE, both Offerings typify the Church (US) struggling against flesh in our daily walk being born in sin …… “lacking in his parts”, conceived in sin.

1Co 15:50 Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit  the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption.

Psa 51:5 Behold, I was shapen in iniquity; and in sin did my mother conceive me.

Vows are different and are words that mean exactly what they say. These sacrifices are

Christ in His various capacities. And the Father through Christ promised (a vow) to both Adam and Cain that in the end they would “rule over sin” (Gen 4:7). Every word out of Christ’s mouth is a vow. It IS BEING performed.

Eze 12:25 For I am the LORD: I will speak, and the word that I shall  speak shall come to pass; it shall be no more prolonged:  for in your  days O rebellious house, will I say the word, and will perform it, saith  the Lord GOD.

2Co 1:19 For the Son of God, Jesus Christ, who was preached among  you by us, even by me and Silvanus and Timotheus, was not yea and  nay, but in him was yea.

2Co 1:20 For all the promises of God in him   are yea, and in him Amen, unto the glory of God by us.

Christ’s Offering in this capacity when He makes a vow or a freewill offering in “beeves and sheep” is without spot or wrinkle, in this capacity Christ is PERFECT.

Lev 22:21 And whosoever offereth a sacrifice of peace offerings unto  the LORD to accomplish [his] vow, or a freewill offering in beeves or  sheep, it shall be perfect to be accepted; there shall be no blemish therein.

We are admonished not to make a vow; we do not know what tomorrow brings, can we be sure that we are going to be able to perform the vow? Do we say “we see”? We are a work in progress being saved.

Ecc 5:4 When thou vowest a vow unto God, defer not to pay it; for he  hath no pleasure in fools: pay that which thou hast vowed.

Jas 4:13  Go to now, ye that say, To day or to morrow we will go into such a city, and continue there a year, and buy and sell, and get gain:

Jas 4:14  Whereas ye know not what shall be on the morrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away.

Jas 4:15  For that ye ought to say, If the Lord will, we shall live, and do this, or that.

Jas 4:16  But now ye rejoice in your boastings: all such rejoicing is evil.

Mat 5:34  But I say unto you, Swear not at all; neither by heaven; for it is God’s throne:

Mat 5:35  Nor by the earth; for it is his footstool: neither by Jerusalem; for it is the city of the great King.

Mat 5:36  Neither shalt thou swear by thy head, because thou canst not make one hair white or black.

Mat 5:37  But let your communication be, Yea, yea; Nay, nay: for whatsoever is more than these cometh of evil.

The Peace Offering, with the two reasons of being offered, reminds us that, as Christ Himself, WE, still “bear the image of the earthy [but] we are in the PROCESS of bearing the image of the heavenly” (1Co 15:49). We have PEACE and STRENGTH and NOURISHMENT in this Offering knowing that we are accepted in the Beloved.

Joh 14:27 Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as theworld giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither  let it be afraid.
