Wrestling With “the Law” Deception

February 9, 2013

freedomThere are very many false gospels and other jesus’s preached throughout Babylon.  Given there are 200 Million false doctrines, there are a seemingly innumerable number of denominations and sects that promote doctrines opposed to the doctrines of Christ.   I want to share a particular false gospel that has some very zealous followers who do speak of Christ but without knowledge.  This pertains to those who insist that faith in Christ is additive to the law of Moses.  This issue was dealt with and put to bed early in the church’s history for those with ears to hear and eyes to see.

Act 15:5 But there rose up certain of the sect of the Pharisees which believed, saying, That it was needful to circumcise them, and to command them to keep the law of Moses.

Act 15:6 And the apostles and elders came together for to consider of this matter.

Act 15:7 And when there had been much disputing, Peter rose up, and said unto them, Men and brethren, ye know how that a good while ago God made choice among us, that the Gentiles by my mouth should hear the word of the gospel, and believe.

Act 15:8 And God, which knoweth the hearts, bare them witness, giving them the Holy Ghost, even as he did unto us;

Act 15:9 And put no difference between us and them, purifying their hearts by faith.

I was engaged recently with a so called brother that has been ensnared and bound tightly into the carnal doctrines espoused by the Jewish Messianic movement. In our immaturity as babes in Christ we can easily get into the mindset of thinking worshiping God relates to what we do on the external in the flesh. This includes many flesh rituals the least of which is those that think they are pleasing God and Christ more by using what they believe to be His Hebrews names in their speech. The far bigger error is the one that has them believing that the Torah (Law of Moses) and its observance is for Born Again Christians, God’s very Elect. God’s Elect, the chosen few, are no longer bound by the law of Moses and all of its carnal commandments and ordinances. Christ is the new priesthood and with that comes a change in the law.

Heb 7:15 And it is yet far more evident: for that after the similitude of Melchisedec there ariseth another priest,

Heb 7:16 Who is made, not after the law of a carnal commandment, but after the power of an endless life.

Grace and truth that came thru Christ has totally replaced the worship of God in the flesh. Yet despite many Scriptures that speak plainly to the old being done away with and the total folly of trying to add the law of Moses to faith in Christ. Paul called such gospels foolish (the foolish Galatians) . Those to whom Christ has appeared and imparted the gift of faith are no longer under the law of Moses. Old things such as that law have passed away and all things are new for them.

Gal 5:18 But if ye be led of the Spirit, ye are not under the law.

Paul and the Apostles (ACTS 15) had many a wrestling match with carnal minded believers in the early days of the church and we are promised to have them today. Paul wrote about those that have swerved into this egregious error who teach these things and put their followers into bondage. Such teachers of the law, are deceitful workers, false Apostles and are to be avoided if they insist on their heresy.

1Ti 1:6 From which some having swerved have turned aside unto vain jangling;

1Ti 1:7 Desiring to be teachers of the law; understanding neither what they say, nor whereof they affirm.

We are to reject such heretics after the second or third admonition, which I have been slow to do in the past. Such foolishness to be arguing over the law of Moses. It is so vain and useless.

Tit 3:9 But avoid foolish questions, and genealogies, and contentions, and strivings about the law; for they are unprofitable and vain.

Tit 3:10 A man that is an heretick after the first and second admonition reject;

Tit 3:11 Knowing that he that is such is subverted, and sinneth, being condemned of himself.

The law and its carnal commandments are useful and are good as indeed it is thru the knowledge of that law that we are dragged to Christ in our appointed time. Yet once Christ has come, we move on in our new found freedom and no longer bear that burden of the law of sin and death. And NOBODY in the truth will never then say or think, let’s go sin so grace may abound. Yet that is the false accusation that will always come from those in the flesh when we speak of our freedom in Christ.

Rom 3:31 Do we then make void the law through faith? God forbid: yea, we establish the law.

Gal 5:13 For, brethren, ye have been called unto liberty; only use not liberty for an occasion to the flesh, but by love serve one another.

It would take a very long paper to lay out all the Scriptures and reconcile the arguments used by these Torah promoters. Thankfully other brothers have already prepared such papers (www.iswasandwillbe.com) and I would be pleased to share those links with any who should ask. But I want to share something I see that very simply explains this if we have some spiritual understanding. Christ said this.

Mat 5:17 Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.

Mat 5:18 For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.

The law is fulfilled in the lives of God’s Elect. When judgment comes, our old heavens and old earth are destroyed by God’s fire. All things are new and the spiritual man is Born by the power of God.

2Co 5:17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

The fulfillment of the law in our lives is accomplished when we are judged. This begins at the House of God, His very Elect. The heavens and the earth of a true born again believer have passed away. That is what this says and it validates the true message Christ was given but the carnal minded did not understand from Matthew 5 and His Sermon on the Mount. When we are born again by the gift of faith, then our heavens and earth pass away. We are a new creature! The Law of Moses brings this judgment and when we are judged, then comes salvation and the fulfillment (earnest deposit) of the promises given to Abraham.

If we can understand where heaven is, then these words of Christ will begin to tell a consistent story of God bringing salvation to all men thru judgment in the appointed time.

Luk 17:20 And when he was demanded of the Pharisees, when the kingdom of God should come, he answered them and said, The kingdom of God cometh not with observation:

Luk 17:21 Neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, the kingdom of God is within you.

God’s throne,  His kingdom is in our hearts.  That is where Christ sits at the right hand of God.  As Christ says, we all will live by every word and will be judged, reaping what we have sown. Salvation by no means has any man avoiding the wrath of God. That wrath will be revealed in our heavens against all the ungodliness and unrighteous lies we once believed as the truth.

Rom 1:18 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness;

It is by experiencing this wrath and going thru this judgment that we will enter into Christ and come to know Him in the Spirit. The story of JOB tells us of God’s plan to bring judgment and great wrath upon us and in doing so be remade into a new creation.

Rev 15:8 And the temple was filled with smoke from the glory of God, and from his power; and no man was able to enter into the temple, till the seven plagues of the seven angels were fulfilled.

Isa 54:7 For a small moment have I forsaken thee; but with great mercies will I gather thee.

The Scriptures and prophets of old all prophesied things for us living today that have been blessed to receive the Spirit of God and be judged now. It is these marvelous works of God to the children of men.

2Co 3:3 Forasmuch as ye are manifestly declared to be the epistle of Christ ministered by us, written not with ink, but with the Spirit of the living God; not in tables of stone, but in fleshy tables of the heart.

The circumcision is without hands. No flesh is involved in purifying our hearts by faith. IT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH THE LAW. It is by faith that we will all be saved in our appointed times.

I am still learning how to deal properly with these heretics that are bound by these legalistic bondages and claim to be teachers of the law and know not of the true grace of the Lord Jesus. God has given us power and great boldness to speak His truths, we shall know the truth Christ said and it is this truth that has set us free from the law of sin and death that defines the Torah aka the Law of Moses.

Gal 3:2 This only would I learn of you, Received ye the Spirit by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith?

Gal 3:3 Are ye so foolish? having begun in the Spirit, are ye now made perfect by the flesh?

Babylon has perpetuated many a carnal ritual that puts the emphasis on the external, what men do in the flesh as evidence of one’s standing with God. Yet God looks to the heart and it is HIM doing the work, the circumcision is truly without hands.

Col 2:11 In whom also ye are circumcised with the circumcision made without hands, in putting off the body of the sins of the flesh by the circumcision of Christ:

You can’t put new wine into an old wine skin. You can’t sew a new patch onto an old cloth. All things are new if one is truly in Christ. God is not looking for fleshly worshipers and has not for 2,000 years.

It takes God given ears to hear to come to know and believe these truths. God’s Elect speak these truths among much opposition because that is our commandment and faith only comes by hearing and for that reason God sends us to do His work.

Jer 22:29 O earth, earth, earth, hear the word of the LORD.
