OSAS
Hebrews 10:36 For you have need of endurance, so that when you have done the will of God, you may receive what was promised.
Rev 3:5 He who overcomes shall be clothed in white garments, and I will not blot out his name from the Book of Life; but I will confess his name before My Father and before His angels.
The promise of eternal life can be received right now when you believe in Jesus with a pure heart. To actually attain the promise we must do the will of God and endure to the very end to be saved. The will of God is described as listening to God’s son and being purified of all sin. Unless we overcome sin in our lives, Jesus will indeed erase our names from the Book of Life and we will not enter the Kingdom of God.
If you believe you cannot lose your salvation then I believe you are most likely not even a Born Again believer. You may think you are but to believe this false teaching of demons, you would have to lack understanding of the Word of God. The God of this age (Satan) has deceived very many with doctrines of demons and most professing Christians are actually worshipping a false Jesus and following a completely different gospel from the one taught by the Lord and His appointed Apostles. To believe otherwise, you might as well take out your scissors and cut out the passages I am going to show out of your Bible. They cannot be explained away.
We can indeed lose our salvation as is very clear from the Scriptures properly divided. False teachers have overtaken the modern day church and have been spreading the lie about Eternal Security or Once Saved Always Saved for far too long. It is time to awaken the church and proclaim the truth to the Sheep as time is growing very short. The Good News is Jesus came; to save us FROM our sin by destroying the works of the devil and giving us the means to live a holy life. That is how we stay saved!
“But there were also false prophets among the people, just as there will be false teachers among you. They will secretly introduce destructive heresies, even denying the sovereign Lord who bought them, bringing swift destruction on themselves. Many will follow their shameful ways and will bring the way of truth into disrepute. In their greed these teachers will exploit you with stories they have made up. Their condemnation has long been hanging over them, and their destruction has not been sleeping.” 2 Peter 2:1
Here Peter warns us that because of false teachings, Christians will be deceived into following a false Gospel and follow the shameful ways of false teachers. It certainly seems to me that the teachings of Eternal Security, Once Saved Always Saved (OSAS) or Easy Believism has led to a self professed church that acts and looks no different than the non believers living in the world. This has harmed the church and made the gospel harder to believe as many look at us Christians and say hypocrites! The true church is in the world but not of the world.
“For the time will come when men will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear. They will turn their ears away from the truth and turn aside to myths.” 2 Timothy 4:3- 4
The largest and fastest growing churches of today area those that either preach OSAS or the Charismatic types that are being taught we can do all the works of Jesus without first purging sin out of our lives. We can have the same power of the Spirit but that power only comes AFTER we come thru the furnace of testing and are purified just like Jesus did when He came out of the wilderness. In either case, the error is that sin can hang around and that we can practice it and the resulting sugar high for Jesus is nothing more than religious lies that ultimately turn bitter as lives are destroyed and our faith never matures. I see many crumbling now as God’s return approaches and the judgments begin.
Churches are run like businesses to please men, add to the ranks of members and generate more money. Very little of the preaching in our churches lines up with the truth; in fact it directly contradicts the very words of Jesus recorded in the four gospels. I see the morals of our society declining and wonder if the words of Paul to Timothy above are now being fulfilled before our very eyes. God is a God of mercy, but He is also a God of judgment. The church must know that God hates sin and the requirement for repentance necessary to receive His forgiveness.
“For certain men whose condemnation was written about long ago have secretly slipped in among you. They are godless men, who change the grace of our God into a license for immorality and deny Jesus Christ our only Sovereign and Lord.” Jude 4
I believe the license for immorality that Jude speaks about, is exactly what is being taught in many churches today. I can’t tell you the last time I heard a sermon preached at my local churches about sin and our need to repent from it, avoid it, mourn over it and aim for perfect obedience. The doctrines of OSAS and the pride of preachers who want to build large congregations have led many teachers away from teaching the whole counsel of God. Instead the are teaching only the portions of the Word that we want to hear. God is Love, God forgives us, and God has made us many promises…. While true, they have neglected to teach on equally important topics such as repentance, holiness, righteousness, the fear of the Lord and the wrath of God’s judgment.
As I continue to dig deep into the WORD and seek answers to some of the burning question I have about our Christian walk, the Lord has opened my eyes to the deception which is prevalent in today’s church and the hypocrisy that my own walk as well as others exhibits to the outside world. Far too many popular preachers are teaching a contradictory message to the one that is clearly laid out in the bible. I cannot judge ones heart, only God can, but I am concerned and feel compelled as a watchman to expose error when I see it. I by no means have all the light and welcome any debate or commentary on what I see and proclaim herein as the truth. I ask that you read this blog with that same openness of mind.
We Are Saved by Grace
Thankfully we have a merciful Father, who by his grace sent us a savior named Jesus Christ. We are saved by grace which is unmerited but that which is also conditional. Nowhere does God say his grace is unconditional, in fact there are many warnings in the bible speaking to forfeiting grace, falling away, backsliding, not being deceived, remaining in him, and enduring to the end to be saved. But even clearer than this is the fact that Grace gives us the desire and the ability to obey God. Please see my page GRACE on the header of this web URL above.
Jesus taught obedience as the way to life. He did not teach anything else. Obedience is the way unto salvation as is not a works salvation if one truly grasps what the grace of God really is. God calls us and He equips us. He alone determines on whom He will have mercy and compassion. We never earn it or deserve it, but when He does give us His gift, we still must choose life or death by our actions. We can walk away from God’s grace and follow the ways of Satan and the world. We must always abide in Him and walk in the spirit. We will obey Jesus because we are saved, not to become saved. If we aren’t doing these things in increasing measure; being sanctified during our lives on earth, then we should indeed examine ourselves to see if we are of the faith. Spiritual Death
In Genesis 3:4 the serpent (the devil) tells Eve his first lie to man. He tells her that “she will surely not die” and that by eating the forbidden fruit that “her eyes would be open and she would be like God”. The death that was spoken of here was spiritual death and not physical death. By eating the forbidden fruit, Adam and Eve sinned and separated themselves from God. This is one of Satan’s principal tactics used throughout history for which we are repeatedly warned not to be deceived about. The tactic gets us to believe a lie, a lie that says “we shall surely not die” if we blatantly disobey God’s commands. Now many of the largest church congregations regularly hear preached that their sin has no eternal consequences and they are saved no matter how they subsequently exercise their free will and indulge their fleshly desires. This is not the bible that Jesus or the Apostles taught and many have been deceived and are ignorant of the eternal consequences.
Luke 15:24 In the story of the prodigal son, Jesus said “For this son of mine was dead and is alive again; he was lost and is found. The supports the clear biblical teaching that we can fall away (ie die spiritually) but that we can be brought back. This is why it is so important for the church to starting teaching the whole counsel of God, as how else will the lost, fallen away be turned back unto repentance and find life again? If they are taught once saved always saved, they will not fear the Lord and may well continue in a sinful wicked life because they are taught in error that it doesn’t matter to their salvation. These preachers will be held accountable for the lost blood per Ezekiel 33:6 and other places in scripture.
Galatians 6:7-9 Do not be deceived. God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows. The one who sows to please his sinful nature, from that nature, will reap destruction; the one who sows to please the Spirit, from the Spirit will reap eternal life.
Obviously since sowing to the spirit reaps eternal life, sowing to the sinful nature reaps spiritual death, not just the loss of rewards in heaven as many falsely teach.
1 Cor 6:8-10 Do you not know that the wicked will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor male prostitutes nor homosexual offenders nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God.
Matthew 3:9-10 And do not think you can say to yourselves, “We have Abraham as our father.” I tell you that out of these stones God can raise up children for Abraham. The ax is already at the root of the trees, and every tree that does not produce good fruit will be cut down and thrown into the fire. Here Jesus is warning the Pharisees and Sadducees of their deception, their reliance on being descendents of Abraham for their salvation. Like numerous other places Jesus told them they would surely die if they do not produce good fruit. Satan is continuing to lie to us saying we truly shall NOT die if we keep on sinning. Who are we to believe, the father of all lies or Jesus?
I will be as blunt as I can right now. The teachings of Eternal Security are false. The teachings of Once Saved Always Saved (OSAS) are false. The issue of falling away, or losing one’s salvation is not about becoming unborn. No indeed it is about DYING SPIRITUALLY. This is what we are warned about because if you die SPIRITUALLY by believing a lie (just like Eve did), it is impossible to renew you back to repentance.
John 8:51 “I tell you the truth, if anyone keeps my word, he will never see death.” Jesus says if we keep his word (i.e. do it, not just know it) we will not spiritually die.
Conditional Grace: God has done his part, now we need to do ours
Just like the promises God made to Israel, the promises of the new covenant are conditional. God has done his part through Jesus. We just need to do our part to obtain the prize and the promise.
o John 15 Parable of the Vine “remain in me, and I will remain in you. IF a man remains in me and I in him, he will bear much fruit. IF anyone does not remain in me, he is like a branch that is thrown away and withers (dies); such branches are picked up and thrown into the fire and burned” … IF you obey my commands, you will remain in my love.” This ties remaining in Jesus love to obeying his commands. Does Jesus save people who do not remain in his love? I think the branches being picked up and thrown into the fire settles that matter. It is not enough to simply be in the vine for a time, we must remain in the vine; we must endure to the end to be saved.
o 1 Cor. 15:1-2 – “Now I would remind you, brothers, of the gospel I preached to you, which you received, in which you stand. By this gospel you are saved IF you hold fast to the word I preached to you—otherwise you have believed in vain.”
o Heb 5:9 …and having been perfected, He became the author of eternal salvation to all who obey Him.
o Mt. 19:16And someone came to Him and said, “Teacher, what good thing shall I do that I may obtain eternal life?” And He said to him, “Why are you asking Me about what is good? There is only One who is good; but if you wish to enter life, keep the commandments.”
o John 3:36 “He who believes in the Son has eternal life; but he who does not obey the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God abides on him.” John 3:16 is absolutely true, but cannot be taken out of context without the whole of scripture. True belief results in repentance, conversion, filling with spirit of God and obedience as will be seen in the manifested fruits of the spirit.
o Matthew 7.27-28 Everyone who hears these words of mine and does not act on them may be compared to a foolish man who built his home on sand. The rain fell and the floods came and the winds blew and slammed against that house and it fell – and great was its fall. This person was not saved, he was lost. Simply believing the Word is not enough, we must ACT on it
o Luke 13: 23-30 And someone said to Him, “Lord, are there just a few who are being saved?’ And He said to them, “Strive to enter through the narrow door, and for many I tell you, will seek to enter and will not be able. Once the head of the house gets up and shuts the door, and you begin to stand outside and knock on the door saying “Lord, open up to us!” then He will answer and say to you, “I do not know where you are from, Depart from Me all you evildoers”. Jesus never called the people shut out unbelievers in this parable and several others, he called them evildoers!
o John 14:15If you love me, you WILL obey what I command. He didn’t say you should, he said you Will. This means many people have not made Jesus Lord and Do Not Know Him despite praying a sinner’s prayer, going to church or calling themselves Christians.
o Heb 3:6 … but Christ is faithful over God’s house as a son. And we are his house IF indeed we hold fast our confidence and our boasting in our hope.
My motivation is to save souls, not to be an evil judge by my commentary. I am truly trying to awaken a sleeping church to the deception that has crept in the body of believers. I was asleep and living in ignorance for most of my life, thinking I was a Christian but not understanding or seeking the truth in his word. With new spiritual eyes, this is how I now see the majority of the body of believers. This is also how Jesus saw it when speaking about end times in Matthew “On that day, many who say to me Lord Lord will not inherit the kingdom of God but only those who do the will of my Father in heaven”.
I think we all agree that our sins must be forgiven for us to enter eternal life? Jesus spoke about situations where our Father in heaven would not forgive us our sins. Indeed forgiveness of our sins is conditional upon us forgiving other people’s sins. Sadly many professing Christians lead defeated tormented lives and are likely ignorant of the following two sayings of Jesus in Matthew.
o Mat 6:14-15 If you forgive those who sin against you, your heavenly Father will forgive you. But if you refuse to forgive others, your Father will not forgive your sins.
o Mat 18:34-35 And his master was angry, and delivered him to the torturers until he should pay all that was due to him. So My heavenly Father also will do to you if each of you, from his heart, does not forgive his brother his trespasses
Those who harbor bitterness and/or unforgiveness have poisoned themselves spiritually. Those in this state of mind will be attacked and tormented by demons until they repent of their unforgiveness. Show me someone who harbors bitterness and I will show you a person that is either angry or depressed; lacking in real joy and who does not cling to the truth of God’s word.
Can Christians Fall Away? The answer is emphatically YES.
Read and meditate on these passages and any confusion on this question should be abated.
Mt. 24: 10-13 “At that time many will turn away from the faith and betray and hate each other. Because of the increase of wickedness the love of most will grow cold, But the one who endures to the end, it is he who shall be saved.” Another words, it is possible to fall away and not be saved.
Luke 8:13 …”those on the rock are the ones who receive the word with joy when they hear it, but they have no root. They believe it for a while, but in the time of testing they fall away.” Jesus said we must endure to the end to have life. There is no eternal security as being taught by many teachers, it is false teaching for the itching ears of those not willing to truly follow Christ. This parable of the four soils I believe is one of the most important in all of scripture. I would place it up there with the parable of the vine in terms of its eternal consequences and the wisdom upon which we are to lead our lives as Christians.
Luke 6:47 “Why do you call Me, Lord Lord”, and do not do what I say? Everyone who comes to Me and hears My words and acts on them, I will show you whom he is like: he is like a man building a house, who dug deep and laid a foundation on the rock and when a flood occurred the torrent burst against the house and could not shake it because it had been well built. But the one who built a house on the ground without any foundation; and the torrent burst against it and immediately it collapsed, and the ruin of the house was great.
James 5:19-20 - “My brothers, if anyone among you wanders from the truth and someone brings him back, let him know that whoever brings back a sinner from his wandering will save his soul from death and will cover a multitude of sins.
If you can save one’s soul by bringing him back from his wandering, then clearly that soul was lost even though by definition that which is being “brought back” had to be saved to begin with. Notice also, James calls his readers Brothers, clearly indicating this is to be understood to apply to true believers that are sealed by the Holy Spirit.
2 Peter 3:17 Therefore, dear friends, since you have been forewarned, be on your guard so that you may not be carried away by the error of the lawless and fall from your secure position. We are secure for sure if we stay grounded in His word and don’t abandon the straight and narrow path to follow the ways of the world (those who practice lawlessness).
1 Timothy 4:1 – “The Spirit clearly says that in later times some will abandon the faith and follow deceiving spirits and things taught by demons.”
Since we are told numerous times we must endure to the end to be saved, abandoning one’s faith appears to be a clear way to be lost. We cannot abandon faith and expect to have eternal life. It is ridiculous that these many warnings have not been taught to the church. We have indeed let error creep into the church unnoticed and the faith of many is being shipwrecked by their lack of knowledge.
Hebrews 6:4-8 “For in the case of those who have been once enlightened and have tasted the heavenly gift and have been made partakers of the Holy Spirit, and have tasted the good word of God and the powers of the age to come, and then have fallen away, it is impossible to renew them again to repentance since they again crucify to themselves the Son of God and put Him to open shame”.
This is a very powerful warning of falling away from the truth of the Word once you know it. There obviously comes of point where someone wanders so far away from the faith that it is impossible to bring them back as James writes in the passage above. That is why is it important for us to confront, rebuke and correct our brothers and sisters in Christ (yes to judge them righteously), but in the gentle and loving way we are instructed, or else they may be lost forever. They will have believed for a while in vain as we are told in the bible.
Rom 11:17-”If some of the branches have been broken off, and you, though a wild olive shoot, have been grafted in among the others and now share in the nourishing sap from the olive root, do not boast over those branches. If you do, consider this: You do not support the root, but the root supports you. You will say then, “Branches were broken off so that I could be grafted in.” Granted. But they were broken off because of unbelief, and you stand by faith. Do not be arrogant, but be afraid. For if God did not spare the natural branches, he will not spare you either.”
To be graphed in one must be a believer and if a graphed in branch is a believer then it clearly says they can be broken off again. It clearly says they were broken off because of unbelief and that we will not be spared either.
Galatians 5:4 You have been severed from Christ, you who are seeking to be justified by law; you have fallen from grace.
John 6:66 “From this time many of his disciples turned back and no longer followed him.” Pretty clear statement that people can fall away. Believing in Jesus is a requirement, but it requires obedience and persistent belief. These turn coats are not in heaven.
The Old Testament has scores of verses that attest to the same thing. They are still valid today as Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today and tomorrow. God does not change. His word is infallible. For the sake of brevity I won’t put those here except to share one of my favorites from the OT.
Ezekiel 18:24 But if a righteous man turns from his righteousness and commits sin and does the same detestable things the wicked man does, will he live? None of the righteous things he has done will be remembered. Because of the unfaithfulness he is guilty of and because of the sins he has committed, he will die.
The Major Defense Given To OSAS
Teachers of eternal security (aka the Once Saved Always Saved doctrine) like to quote these two following passages as their defense of their false doctrine. This is no defense at all it you interpret them with the whole of scripture.
John 10:27-30 My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me. I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one can snatch them out of my hand. My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all; no one can snatch them out of my Father’s hand. I and the Father are one.”
My read on this verse is that it needs to be interpreted with context. The context is of the true followers of Jesus, those that are walking with him, that know him, that listen to his voice and that follow him. If someone decides to stop following Jesus, they wander away and do not endure to the end, they indeed can be lost. When we are truly walking with God, we cannot be snatched away. So the context here is all about a present tense walk with God. That is why it is important that we constantly be on guard and not be deceived by false teachings that give us false comfort that we can live a sinful life, be no different from the non believing world and still expect to be saved because we said a prayer one time in our life asking Jesus to be our Lord.
Ephesians 1:13-14 In Him, you also, after listening to the message of truth, the gospel of your salvation–having also believed, you were sealed in Him with the Holy Spirit of promise, who is given as a pledge of our inheritance, with a view to the redemption of God’s own possession, to the praise of His glory.
No where does the bible say the seal can’t be broken? Later in this same epistle, Paul makes a startling comment that includes a warning not to be deceived by empty words.
Ephesians 5:5-7 for this you know with certainty, that no immoral or impure person or covetous man, who is an idolater, has an inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and God. Let no one deceive you with empty words, for because of these things the wrath of God comes upon the sons of disobedience. Therefore do not be partakers with them;
Additionally, OSAS preachers like to quote the verse in Philippians 1:6 that says “being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ”. While a true verse as all scripture, the meaning here is that if we continue to walk with Jesus, we will be sanctified and he will perfect us over time. It doesn’t say God completes his work even if we rebel against him, or turn away from him and follow the world. Indeed the context is lost when this passage is interpreted without bringing the verses I have shown above into the illustration.
The Need To Endure To The End
I wanted to show several key verses that many teachers of OSAS try to explain away or simply do not preach on ever. They are a sober reminder that we must endure to the end to be saved. Our seal can be broken by sin and rebellion against God and we can indeed be snatched away if we abandon the faith by exercising our own free will.
Mark 13:13 “And you shall be hated by all men for my name’s sake. But he that shall endure unto the end, he shall be saved.”
Heb. 3:14 - For we share in Christ, if indeed we hold our original confidence firm to the end.” Pretty clear that our inheritance with Christ is conditional by holding firm, enduring to the end.
Heb 10:26-29For if we go on sinning willfully after receiving the knowledge of truth there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins but a terrifying expectation of judgment and the fury of a fire which will consume the adversaries. Anyone who has set aside the Law of Moses dies without mercy on the testimony of two or three witnesses. How much severer punishment do you think he will deserve who has trampled under foot the Son of God and has regarded as unclean the blood of the covenant by which he was sanctified and has insulted the Spirit of grace?
Col 1:23 But you must continue to believe this truth and stand firmly in it. Don’t drift away from the assurance you received when you heard the Good News.
In Peter’s second letter we are given a clear warning to not become entangled again in the corruption of the world once we have escaped from it through the grace of the Lord. Peter says that if we do become entangled again, we are worse off than if we had never known the way of Christ.
2 Peter 20-22 “If they have escaped the corruption of the world by knowing our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and are again entangled in it and overcome, they are worse off at the end than they were at the beginning. It would have been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than to have known it and then to turn their backs on the sacred command that was passed on to them” Let me ask a question. How can someone be worse off then they were at the beginning if they are once saved, then get entangled with the world? It is because they then are lost (not saved) and Jesus tells us several places that those who knew the truth and then reject it, will have an even more severe punishment than those that never knew the way of the truth to begin with.
Let me end this section with a sobering reminder of a message Jesus taught. In the parable of the faithful and wise manager in Luke 12:42, Jesus tells of the consequences of not persevering “But suppose the servant says to himself, My master is taking a long time in coming, and he then begins to beat the menservants and to eat and drink and get drunk. The master of that servant will come on a day when he does not expect him and at an hour he is not aware of. He will cut him to pieces and assign him a place with the unbelievers.”. This parable is about a faithful follower, who does not persevere or endure to the end and rebels against God. Jesus said, this rebellious servant would go where the unbelievers go, that is to hell. Jesus goes on to say that this servant’s punishment would be even more severe than the other non believers because he knew the truth whereas the others did not. How much clearer can it be?
We must awaken the body of Christ from the slumber the false teachers of OSAS and Eternal Security have caused. Based on what is clear from scripture, it is not just non believers who will perish, but it is also professed believers that are evildoers or said another way in some translations, those who practice lawlessness. I have written about the distinctions between saved sinners and those who practice lawlessness in other blogs. Without rehashing the scriptures here, let me just say, we all fall short of the glory of God, we all sin, but those that are saved, do not grieve the holy spirit, sin primarily as a result of weakness not their practice, are convicted of their sins by the Holy Spirit, feel genuine godly sorrow when they do sin and exercise a sincere and heart felt repentance once convicted. Those in the true faith are indeed clothed in the righteousness of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. It is only upon that basis we can enter life with the Father.
Encouragement to Persevere In Faith
There are many verses that speak to the need to persevere. I simply want us to grasp the seriousness of the call to perseverance in faith.
Hebrews 12:14“Pursue peace with all men, and the sanctification without which no one will see the Lord.”
John 16:1 Jesus said, “All this I have told you so that you will not fall away. Why would Jesus say this, if it isn’t possible? The church has got to wake up as the faith of many has indeed grown cold.
Rom 2:7 To those who by persistence in doing good seek glory, honor and immortality, he will give eternal life. But for those who are self seeking and who reject the truth and follow evil; there will be wrath and anger
Rom 6:16 you are slaves to the one you obey, whether you are slaves to sin which leads to death or to obedience which leads to righteousness
1 Timothy 5:20 “Those who continue in sin, rebuke in the presence of all, so that the rest also may be fearful of sinning”. If we are once saved always saved, what is there to be fearful of?
Psalms 111 says, the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom
Most of the professing church does not fear the Lord, are not turning from darkness, and are fellowshipping with the world which is defined as enmity with God. Sadly they are deceived and have not heeded the warnings described clearly in the above passages. Somewhere along the way, preaching has turned to please men instead of being focused on pleasing God. We heap upon ourselves pastors who tickle us with what our itching ears yearn to hear.
Too much preaching today is all about the promises of God. The promises of God are amazing and we should take them to heart to help us endure the trials and tribulations of life. However, few are being taught the warnings of God and this error is leading people astray and away from repentance and a true saving faith. We are indeed to fear the Lord but the church today has twisted scripture to only teach the loving aspects of God and cherry pick the gospel and not teach the whole counsel of God.
Reconciliation With John 3:16 and Other “Believe Only Verses”
The most famous passage of scripture, at least in the USA is John 3:16.
John 3:16 “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.”
I believe this verse is absolutely true as is all of scripture. But to interpret it correctly we must use the whole of scripture. A couple of things I want to point out. First a key word I bolded in the verse is “should”. The verse says we should not perish if we believe in him, it does not say we shall not. There is indeed a difference in meaning. It leaves open the possibility that some could perish, even those that believe in Jesus. Given the whole of scripture I have spoken about in this blog post; and most importantly the other words of Jesus; I am certain that more is required to be saved than simple belief that Jesus is the Son of God. I looked up the word in my concordance and the word in the Greek means, to entrust, commit to trust, put in trust with. So based on the whole of scripture, I would paraphrase this verse as really saying this.
For God so loved the world that He gave his only begotten Son, that whoever fully commits to him and entrusts their lives to him, will be sanctified during their life in their physical body and will exhibit their faith through the fruit they produce and they shall surely reap eternal life.
James 2:19 says “You believe there is one God. Good! Even demons believe that and shudder.” James is mocking the early Christians that thought all they had to do was believe Jesus was the Lord to be saved and they could continue to live a life devoid of fruit. The same issues that dogged the early believer; their pride and unwillingness to count the cost of discipleship with Jesus plagues the current church despite all the biblical warnings against such folly.
2 Cor 11:3 But I am afraid that just as Eve was deceived by the serpent’s cunning, your minds may somehow be led astray from your sincere and pure devotion to Christ. For if someone comes to you and preaches a Jesus other than the Jesus we preached, or if you receive a different spirit from the one you received, or a different gospel from the on you accepted, you put up with it easily enough.
I am not putting up with it easily enough. I encourage you to do likewise and to test and confirm all that you hear with the Word. Let the Holy Spirit guide you in all truth. I pray that those that know the truth about Jesus will not shrink back and be destroyed.

The door to the ark was closed – not the door to Heaven. The rest DIED – they did not go to Hell for eternity. The wages of sin is DEATH -not eternity in Hell. Jesus DIED for our sins – He did not go to Hell to be tormented forever for our sins. DEATH will be swallowed up in VICTORY – 1 Cor 15:54.

Despite our fundamental disagreement on this doctrine, you are my brothers in Christ because you profess faith in Him who is mighty to save. But I say to you that it is time to move on now. Even If what you say is true, your continued arguing and debating here is not how revelation will be gleaned or received by anyone. The Spirit of God will quicken the truth in our hearts. Jesus never camped out, hung around and argued with people ad nauseam. He told His disciples that if the truth was not received, they were to shake the dust off their feet and move on.

Universal salvation is not biblical. It does not carry the weight of scripture. God will
never allow goats that persecute His people and reject Him and spit on the cross to
enter the Kingdom of God. If that were the case, then I renounce Jesus Christ. I do
not want the scum of the earth at the Wedding Feast, they have their wedding feast
their satan’s bride, the Whore, and the False Prophet with the Beast … they give birth to
the still born, the dead. And they have the multitude on their menu. My God, I guess I
can’t write our God anymore here, is the God of the Living not the dead. To err to this
point is to not be quickened but spiritually dead. And the multitude rise up and are
ressurrected and make it to the wedding feast. Those in outer darkness are utterly
destroyed. Those that kill His people, those that hate Him with an ancient hate are
utterly destroyed. This is no dress rehearsal. Why would we be here, why would
He have died on the cross if everyone filthy satan-worshipper makes it? What kind
of Father would have these people, that killed His precious Son in His eternal

Then repent. You may love Jesus Christ, but yours is another Christ, some wimp not a God of Light and Truth and Love and get this:Judgment. He is the author and finisher of our faith, as brought to light
by Dennis. This is Truth. Ephesians 1 verse 13 and 14 brings
out in this sequence: trusted, heard, believed, sealed, redeemed,
and grace. So let us trust our God. He can deliver. And when
we trust, then we hear the Gospel and believe, believing seals
us with the mind of Christ and we are right now right here
redeemed and live under grace. We all sin, but we repent and
get back up. He is faithful to forgive.
And yes we are redeemed now and are under grace. We occupy
till He comes back. We occupy not get preoccupied with the world.
Our kingdom is not of this world.
So true we cannot get unsaved. Good point. However
we have to continue, endure to the end meaning not fall away
but hang on fast to Jesus Christ. The more we grow in knowledge
of Him because He gives us the gift of the Holy Spirit so
we are able to understand and able to grow in knowledge the closer
we get to Him. It all boils down to loving the Truth more than
anything or anyone else. And once we are there, how can we
turn back and turn on back on Him. I can’t. Neither can anyone
who is born again. That is because we are already sealed.
But some that think they are born again are sadly deceived
because first you repent, then you are given the gift of
the Holy Spirit. That won’t happen if you are in the Church
but you can see when you are in the true church in the wilderness.
That is biblical and there is no way around it.
Think of John in Revelation, when he was in the Spirit and in
the wilderness then he saw what he did.
Is it true there is a great falling away and the Gospel is not
being preached in the Churches. I frequent a site that reveals
the latest in this falling away. Things offensive and repulsive.
The article here about OSAS is very valuable to saving souls.
As for the Concordance, a point was made by Bill Johnson
that people pick and choose definitions, true. If they are not in Christ.
But if you are, the Concordance harmonizes with the Bible and I often get
confirmation and clarification on passages esp. which group of
people He is addressing and I have never found to date a definition
that seemed out of synch. It makes reading the Bible so much
richer and things really pop out at you and your understanding
deepens and you see the full weight of scripture. Impossible now to
get caught up with cut and paste theology and now the comic
book theology, silly and perilous prophecies. The term comic
book theology coined by remnant brothers who teach me so
much and that I love dearly, and I went Wow! That is the perfect term for it!
Often I find treasures, like the phrase purchased possession I saw
He often makes me smile and makes
drilling down these things will not sway me. It meant a lot to me and made me
know He understands how alone I am and how it might be
tempting to be swayed because I know no one else like myself.

There is no such thing mentioned in the Bible as “eternal death”. The last enemy to be dest1oyed is death – 1 Cor 15:26. Death will be swallowed up in victory – 1 Cor 15:54.
Jesus said “You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit and that your fruit will abide, so that whatever you ask the Father in my name, he may give it to you.” John 15:16.
That proves that we do not choose God – He chooses us and guarantees that our fruit will abide. Salvation is HIS choice! He is both the AUTHOR and the FINISHER of our faith – Hebrews 12:2.

The goats in Matt 25 are still alive. They have not died yet, so there is still time for them to repent. They did not reject Christ as Savior. They committed sins of omission – not feeding the poor, not clothing the naked, and not visiting the sick and imprisoned. This parable is a gathering of the NATIONS and it is about how the NATIONS treated Israel – the sheep. Those nations that were unkind to Israel are the goats.
This parable has nothing to do with salvation. There is not one word about the cross, the blood, the atonement, rejecting or accepting Christ as the Messiah, etc. And besides that, the Greek word for “punishment” in Matt 25:46 is KOLASIS which means corrective discipline. So the goats will be corrected and the results will be eternal.

You are absolutely correct. Jesus will not live with sinners forever. He is the Lamb of God who TAKES AWAY the sin of the WORLD! There will be no sinners in the afterlife. He who has died has been freed from sin – Romans 6:7. Hitler will be sin free. Every mass murderer will be sin free. The most wicked and vile person will be sin free.
The immoral man in 1 Cor 5 was turned over to Satan for the DESTRUCTION of his flesh, so that his SPIRIT would be saved in the day of the Lord Jesus (vs 5). The Bible NEVER speaks of anyone’s SPIRIT being destroyed. The flesh and the soul – yes, but never the spirit. 1 Cor 15:42-44 promises that everyone will be raised spiritual and incorruptible.

Thank you for quoting John 3:5-7. A very hearty AMEN! “You (plural – you all) MUST BE born again” is in the passive voice in the Greek. That means that GOD does it. Not only does God do it, but He MUST do it! MUST is the Greek is “dei”. The book “A Manual Grammar of the Greek New Testament by Dana and Mantey says that dei means “inevitable and unavoidable”. So God must and will make sure that everyone will be born again, some in this life, the rest in the next life. That is the absolute promise of John 3:5-7.

Luke 10-19 For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost.
The lost, are the lost sheep, not the lost goats. The full weight of scripture will define that. You don’t need the Greek, plus we are just relying on someone elses Greek translation anyway. i would say very few if any really can read this language, And the modern post 1850 scholars are but a shadow to the linguistic abilities and understandings of the likes of William Tyndale, Cloverdale, or the KJB translators.
Many will use the same dialectical tactics while defending the sacred name theology as well. You do not need any of it, the word of God is inspired in English.
In verse 11 Jesus added a qualifying parable to what he was saying in verse 10. Verse 27 is very telling in plain English.
11 And as they heard these things, he added and spake a parable, because he was nigh to Jerusalem, and because they thought that the kingdom of God should immediately appear.
12 He said therefore, A certain nobleman went into a far country to receive for himself a kingdom, and to return.

Jesus has explained His plan of salvation to me. Jesus gave me a choice of Eternal Life or Eternal Death. I chose Life. Jesus created you and me as well as every living person. Jesus knew we would all fall away from Him and sin. Jesus will not live with sinners forever. That is His choice. Jesus did give us the Way to free us from ALL our sin, calvary. Now anyone who believes the Word of Jesus will gain eternal Life. ALL others will stand in judgement before Jesus on the Last Day. Jesus will destroy many souls who are not willing to Chage and turn to Him. All those that obey Jesus will be “Saved”.
Being “Saved ” Is to be freed from your sin which would cause a person to be damned, or condemned to HELL, the place of darkness or separation. I am “Saved” through Faith in Jesus which is a Hope of mine. I have done many sins since I was Born-again by the Holy Spirit of Jesus. I now have reached a point of maturity through sanctification by Jesus that I can say I am free from sin. I do have to keep guard not to be drawn away into sin. This is an ongoing battle. I do this for myself and many other people who I have been sent to by Jesus. As I stated before most all people who say they are “Saved” are not. They are deceived by evil spirits into believing that they do not have to leave their sin at the feet of Jesus. You have gone to many harlot churches by your own admission. That was sin. It was disobedience to Jesus Word to you. Now that you have left those harlot churches Jesus has forgiven you that sin. All those that do not leave sin will be destroyed by Jesus. You are not dead in the flesh yet, at that time you will be able to say you are “saved”. Jesus is not going have anyone be with Him for all eternity that is evil.

@Charles This was a moving testimony, one of the few that spoke to my spirit. LOVE. The gospel is of the heart not the head and intellect. That is really the simplicity of it all. Walk in Love and we are in covenant, walk in selfishness and we are not and the wrath of God will rightly abide upon the sons of disobedience. If not love, we need to repent or we too shall perish in the end.

This life in the flesh will be destroyed. Jesus came to seek and to save that which as been destroyed (Greek – apploumi – Luke 19:10)
1 Cor 15:22 promises that all will be made alive in Christ. Their flesh and carnal man may have been destroyed – but in the end – all will be made alive.
Romans 8:21 promises that even the creation itself will be set free from it’s bondage to corruption! the Last Adam defeats and replaces the first Adam for all mankind! The curse will be reversed!

I just watched the entire Mickey Robinson video. God told him the darkness was his PAST LIFE living in the darkness of sin. John 3 says that men loved darkness rather than light. That is the outer darkness and it pertains to THIS life in the flesh. Sin is in the flesh. Romans 6:6 says “He who has died has been freed from sin.” So the darkness is not living in the light of the Lord in THIS LIFE. There is no such thing in the Bible as eternal darkness, eternal separation, or eternal death. This man saw the brightness of God and the darkness of evil and Satan. But Satan and evil will be forever defeated! There will be a new Heaven and a new Earth where RIGHTEOUSNESS dwells! No more sin, no more Satan, no more evil, no more darkness, so more sickness, no more disease, and no more death!
God will be all in all!
Hell is a lie and a doctrine of demons! Jesus Christ will be 100% victorious through His perfect and complete sacrifice of the cross with His Holy blood! He is the Savior of the WORLD – not just a part of the world! Satan will not destroy one single soul in the end. Not one! “IT IS FINISHED!”

The apostle Paul was caught up to the 3rd Heaven and given exceeding great revelations, yet he never once mentions any place called Hell. Satan is the prince of the power of the air and people gives false visions and false experiences. If God wanted to reveal Hell to the churches, why didn’t he reveal it to the apostle Paul so he could tell the NT assemblies about this terrible place. The Gentiles never heard Jesus speak, so where are they going to learn about Hell if not from Paul?

I am not into symantics , Hell, lake of fire , it all amounts to seperation from God. I am familar with ” the lake of fire purification process, theology” that even has satan being thrown in for his purification process in the end. If people for go accepting Christ as Lord and savior , they can expect this result on the other side according this posted link. When Jesus spoke about “Hell” the Greek word is Gehenna. Gehenna was a valley near Jerusalem that was used a a garbage dump “where their worm does not die, and their fire is not quenched.” Fires are not extinguished in garbage dumps. They are kept continually burning to get rid of the refuse. The body and soul were DESTROYED in Gehenna, not tormented for eternity. (Matt 10:28) The Jews did not want their body destroyed because of the resurrection.
Gehenna was where they threw the dead bodies of executed criminals. Jesus was warning of the death penalty with the the body being being destroyed by fire and eaten by worms. The soul was destroyed in two ways. Dying as a criminal meant that what you stood for and how you would be remembered (reputation) was destroyed. That relates to destruction of the soul (not the spirit). Also, the soul cannot be reunited with the body (In Jewish thought) if the body has been destroyed. So destroying the body destroys the soul.
The Gehenna verses that Jesus spoke have nothing whatsoever to do with Hell, neither is it a metaphor for Hell. There is no mention of Satan in Gehenna, and the Apostle Paul never speaks about Gehenna or any place called Hell or eternal torment. Paul wars of eternal DESTRUCTION in 2 Thess – but not eternal torment. I can explain eternal destruction is another post if you want me to.
But do not take my word for it about Gehenna. Please go research it for yourself.
May God open the eyes of our understanding and remove any false teaching.
There is salvation from sin in this life, then there is salvation from death in the next life.
Not all get saved from sin in this life. Many die in their sin. But all will be saved from death in the next life. (1 Cor 15:42-44)
There is no such thing as Hell to be saved from. Hell is a false translation of Gehenna, and a false understanding of Hades. Also, the Lake of Fire is the second DEATH. The last enemy to be destroyed is DEATH. DEATH will be swallowed up in victory.
Everyone will be made alive (1 Cor 15:22) and everyone will be reconciled and restored to the Father. (2 Cor 5:19)

I see where you are coming from in regards to “ALL” men receiving salvation.
I just have to ask you these questions, for your benefit, and not mine, so that you can reflect in these possible consequences if you are wrong.
Are you willing, and it seems that you are, to tell people that they don’t have to make a decision for Christ in this earthly existence, because “ALL” men will be saved regardless?
Are you willing to consider yourself wrong concerning this issue?
If you are wrong concerning this issue, and you tell people that they do not have to come to a decision, as far as making Christ Lord and savior of their lives in this earthly realm, because “ALL “will be saved anyway, and they go to hell , and are eternally separated from the Father, are you willing to stand accountable ?
What is the spiritual benefit of telling people that “ALL” people will be saved? Richard, what is the benefit?
Why did Christ perform the perfect sacrifice, what reason would people want to believe in him, if ALL are going to heaven any way?
Richard, whether you know it or not, this is part of a new age philosophy that is becoming very popular, it’s keeping people from making a decision for Christ.
The Billy Grahams, T.D. Jakes, Olsteens who are part of this new age philosophy are telling Muslims, Buddhists, Hindus, etc, that they don’t have to make a decision for Christ as Lord and savior of their lives, are you standing with them?
These religious leaders are 100% sold out to this world and are saying that “ALL” men are going to be in the family of God even if they reject Christ as Lord and Savior of their lives.
Before you come back with a post defending your position, pray about it, because someone may fore go making a decision for Christ, as Lord and savior, in their lives, because of this message that “ALL” will be saved regardless.
It’s already happening, and people are remaining in a spiritual state of sin, because they believe it.

We agree about “churches”. I do not go to any so called “church”. There is only one ekklesia. But to contend that just because someone goes to one of these “churches” is not saved is a grave fallacy. I was in all kinds of “churches” AFTER I got saved. That never took away the fact that I had been saved! Jesus kept me saved DESPITE the fact that I was in these false institutional organizations.
I am very concerned for you. I do not think that you have a proper understanding of what it means to be saved. Can you please explain what your understanding is of what it means to be saved.?

This includes denominations, non-denominations and inter-denomination and Home “churches”. Jesus has ONE Church which belongs to Him alone. Jesus is the head of His 1 Church. The miracle of Jesus revealing Himself to me took place in 1972. And yes, all my sinful behavior immediately stopped. YOU have stated many things that dead Apostles of Jesus have stated in the Bible about the “I” word. YOU can not deny YOURself. As you stated: “. I will stick with God”

I have preached to many thousands of people one on one and in small groups over the years. I know who is who by what they say and do. It is the gift of disernment that Jesus has given me. Very few people even understand who Jesus is. Jesus is our God.

Gen 1 In the beginning God created the heaven and earth.
If there is a beginning, there will be an end. The scriptures have an individual prophecy, a collective church age prophecy of the 1000 yr reign, which is now over, and and end times prophecy of the little season. They are like layers of recapitulated waves coming upon the shore. The book is liken to a basket full of 58 facet diamonds. Then add on the magnitude of their reflection (Huge brother), we cant just look at one facet of one diamond. This book is multidimensional, and much bigger than the Grand Canyon.
Daniel spoke of the time of the end, the only place the term “time of the end” is in the text is in Daniel, it is also found in much of the book of Timothy, especially 2Tim 3.
Daniel 8 25 And through his policy also he shall cause craft to prosper in his hand; and he shall magnify himself in his heart, and by peace shall destroy many: he shall also stand up against the Prince of princes; but he shall be broken without hand.
Cause “craft” to prosper, what do you think all of these false doctrines are today, subtle witchcraft out of the mouths of the false prophets being indwelt with seducing spirits and doctrines of devil’s (1 Tim 4). They look like lambs but speak like dragons. By the way they have TWO horns, the bi-polar energy derived from the process of (the dialectic).And they get their power from guess who? The dragon. Rev 13.

The snare is deception, the strong delusion, the spirit of error, take your pick. In the end only the 144,000 are going to see this thing coming, the rest of the church have made lies their refuge, and under falsehoods have they hid themselves.. Amos 3:7 Surely the Lord GOD will do nothing, but he revealeth his secret unto his servants the prophets.
If you can see the whole loaf is leavened, well what can I say. Jesus did say the WHOLE would be leavened. Never has there been this much apostasy in 2000 years.

Daniel was sick over this vision of the little season at the end of the age which John describes in symbolic language in Rev 11. Even though he understood it not. I am praying for a world wide Nenevah event myself. As the prophet Jonah was the only sign that was given to this evil and adulterous generation, which is now liken to the first time line pre-cross darkness of pride that resided in the temple when Jesus came. Paul said it was all gonna repeat in the 2nd time line.

None of the verses you quoted are about born again Holy Spirit filled Christians who have been crucified with Christ. Not one of those verses is from the apostle Paul’s letters to the NT churches.
And just FYI – Jesus came to seek and to save that which has been destroyed (Greek – appolumi) – Luke 19:10. So all of those verses about destruction and death, are not the end of the story. The wages of sin is death and the last enemy to be destroyed is death.
Romans 8:21 promises that even the creation itself will be set free from it’s bondage to corruption. God will not let sin have the last word! HE will have the last word – not sin, not Satan, not evil, not deception – GOD WILL HAVE THE FINAL SAY IN ALL THINGS!
One way to consider this OSAS is to view the common consensus concerning this matter. This OSAS is becoming more, and more popular as man follows the broad road of the flesh walk doctrine at the end of the age. This in itself should be a warning that its probably false. The masses are always wrong when it comes to any matters of truth. I would say 200 years ago not too many if any at all ever heard of this silly OSAS doctrine liken, to the silly rapture doctrine.. And 2Tim 3 says they are silly women. (deceived multitudes, or the drunkards of Ephraim Isaiah 28). The great tribulation which is soon coming is the only thing that turns the multitudes back to seeking God through repentance. Nothing else works. It is written 100s of times in the OT. I can tell you that from a fleshly perspective the end of the age isn’t going to end well. 1 cor 5-5. Most of these newer age ear tickling doctrines came in to being around 1880 and began to mushroom over the 20th century.
For the most part by rule of thumb OSAS is a huge favourite to be wrong because most Christians believe it to be true. And the bible says that almost all will be deceived in the end, (like a snare it shall come upon the whole earth) If it were possible it would deceive the very few elect . Deception is the tool that God uses to separate a people unto Himself. Same process with Adam and Eve. God allows for them to be deceived, then great tribulation brings the redeemed portion of Jacob back.
Chris and I have been seeing some new understandings in REV ch 11. The dead bodies are now lying in the streets everywhere and have been for quite some time, but a 1/3 part a multitude of them are going to have life breathed into them Ezek 37,9,10, and Rev 11-11.
So if the common consciences believes OSAS is true, then that alone makes it a huge mathematical favourite to be a false doctrine. Paul says the people will favour the doctrine that brings about a flesh friendly sensuous response (itching ears). Keeping covenant with God is not flesh friendly, so it will not be well favoured by the deceived masses who will go fro the koolaide.

I am not correcting you, but I wish you would have given that testimony first, before entering into intellectual scriptual debates, because your testimony from “the heart” edified me more than anything else you had posted.
Speaking from the heart , sharing adverse moments that God has given victory in, opening our own personel book, in my opinion, gets us in a position to minister better to one another.
It sometimes can keep us away from vain disputes in scripture, and once again,I appreciate your testimoney from the “heart”.

The year after I graduated from high school (all boys Catholic!), a friend of mine from that school had come to know Christ. This kid had been a major clown all through high school (as was I). We graduated in 1971. I had been an atheist for about 5 years.
I sitting was at the tennis courts watching the match when my friend (John) told me that Jesus had told him where I was and to come and talk to me. I said “Oh no! You are not now one of those Jesus freaks are you? Some guy dies on the cross and then comes back to life??? He did not stay dead, so where is this great sacrifice? He came back to life!”
That was my big argument I had ready for any Jesus freak who crossed my atheistic path. But then something really weird happened. I started to cry. Ten I told John that I could see Jesus in his eyes! WHAT???? WHAT????? I was an atheist! What was I saying???? Had I lost my cotton picking mind???? He then I asked if I would pray with him and I said OK???? WHAT??? Now I am agreeing to pray???? Was I on drugs????
I was totally engulfed in God’s presence. I instantly knew God beyond the shadow of any doubt. I ran around like a mad man telling everyone about Jesus. I would drive down the street looking for hitchhikers! I drove my family and friends crazy talking about Jesus and the Bible all the time. They all thought I was nuts and that I would soon “get over it”. Well 40 years later, I am still not over it! I love Jesus Christ with an intense passion. I love talking about our Savior and His great love that He has for us. I want EVERYONE to know the truth about His wonderful sacrifice of the cross, His shed blood, and the full extent of His atonement on that faithful cross.
I never returned to being an atheist. It was impossible. I had met Jesus Christ FOR REAL! This was no flash in the pan religious mysticism – this was REAL! There was no denying it and no psychological explanation whatsoever. Jesus has healed me without medicine on many occasions since then, and He has fulfilled numerous prophecies to me and my family. God has blessed me with a beautiful wife of over 3o yrs now, 2 daughters, and a granddaughter. Gos is FANTASTIC and 100% faithful to His promises and Hie eternal covenant. He gets ALL the glory!

There is that dreaded IF condition that keeps getting dropped. What are the fleshly deeds that defile us and make us unholy?

No inheritance for these people so says the beloved Apostle.

Sure sounds like we have something to act upon. Faith. So we can stand in His grace and crucify this old man of ours. It says here if we have not done this we do not belong to Christ and will not inherit the Kingdom of God. We don’t actually do it, He does it, when we are led by the Spirit of God. It is the enabling power of Grace thru the Holy Spirit that helps us. That is who the true Sons of God are said the same beloved Apostle.
Phil 2:12-13 Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling. For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure
The law of God still stands. It brings judgment for sin. Jesus did not come to abolish one jot or tittle but to fulfill the law and the prophets. When we walk by the Spirit we will not practice these things and the word will wash us and the spirit will sanctify us. That is the salvation and the road we must be on. If we claim otherwise we prove ourselves to be a transgressor of the law and 1 John 2:4 says we are liar if we also claim to know the LORD. Jesus told us that many will come to Him on the last day saying LORD LORD, and He is going to say to them, DEPART FROM ME, I NEVER KNEW YOU. Smart men have studied Greek and have figured out that is not what Jesus said or meant. Caution we were warned of such folly. I will follow the Spirit of God and not these teachings of men that are giving many a false security and keeping them in their sins. Many may yet escape thru the flames and be saved, but their works shall be burnt up.

We must come into agreement as Amos 3:3 says to walk with God. Jesus prayed for His Disciples and those that would come after them but He never prayed for the world in His prayer to the Father.
John 17:11 I will remain in the world no longer, but they are still in the world, and I am coming to you. Holy Father, protect them by the power of your name—the name you gave me—so that they may be ONE as we are ONE

Jesus said: You shall know the truth, and the truth shall set you free.”
Thinking that we need to keep ourselves saved is error and puts Christians in bondage. Jesus came to set the captives free. Trying to stay saved puts us back in the chains of the law of Moses. We are no longer under law but under grace. Galatians warns about those who spy out our liberty and try and put us back under the bondage of the law.
Gal 3:2 I just want to learn this from you. Did you receive the Spirit by the works of the law, or by hearing of faith?
Gal 3:3 Are you so foolish? Having begun in the Spirit, are you now completed in the flesh?
Jude 1:3 states – “Beloved, while I was making every effort to write you about our common salvation, I felt the necessity to write to you appealing that you contend earnestly for the faith which was once for all handed down to the saints.”
We need to earnestly contend for the REAL faith that was delivered to us by the Word of God.

I appreciate your passion.

“Galatians 2:20 “I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me.”
That verse is in the prefect indicative passive in the Greek. That means it is accomplished, completed and forever done. The passive means that WE do not do it. God did it! And it is finished. The taking up your cross daily was spoken BEFORE the finished work of the cross, not after. After the cross, we have Galatians 2:20. Now we can rest in the FINISHED work and victory of the cross. In HIM we live and move and have our being. HE is life. We have DIED and our life is hidden with Christ in God. It is no longer US that lives, but Christ who lives in us. Christ cannot lose His salvation, therefor, neither can we. We cannot get UNcrucified! We have DIED with Christ!
“IT IS FINISHED!”
Now may we all walk in love.
And be looking diligentely………..lest any man fail of the grace of God.
Lest any root of bitterness trouble you…………thereby many be defiled.
Its all by Grace. All by Grace.
Now lets continue on in His Grace, His goodness, otherwise we fail of Grace,
we must continue in Christ, walk as He did, be obediant unto the spirit,
walk after the spirit, not the flesh.
God has given us the Spirit………………but we must be obediant unto the spirit
crucify the deeds of the flesh daily.
There is no condemnation for those in Christ Jesus…….who walk after the spirit
and not the flesh.
Its not by our strength we walk………….lest we fall.
We must take heed unto our bodies , crucify the deeds of the flesh
and pick up the cross daily. Daily.
I am crucified in Christ…………………and do so daily.
Renewed day by day.
Being saved is by Christ alone.
Choosing to follow him daily is our choice.
And He prompts us daily to follow Him. We must take heed unto sound doctrine.
Work out your salvation with fear and trembling…………..for it is God who gives us both the desire and ability in which to do works.
We must choose life in Him and do so daily.
Looking diligentely lest any man fail of the Grace.
The widows began to wax wanton against Christ…………and cast off their
first faith………..and had damnation.
We cannot give in to sins desire. We by the ppower of Christ
must crucify the deeds of the evil flesh.
The devil roams about regardless of whether this is taught or not.
And we must fight and contend for the true faith once delivered unto
Saints long ago.
Many anti christs are present even now……………..they were with us, but came out from us..
that it might be manifest they are not of us.
Let no man decieve himself. I love all………and pray that spiritual wisdom be given
edification and exhortation daily…………..lest any be hardened by the deceit of sin.
Remember it is impossible for those who were once enlightened and have tasted of
the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost, and have tasted
of the good word of GOd, and the powers of the world to come, If they
shall Fall away, to renew them again unto repentance.
Remember …But Christ as a son over his own house, whose house
are we, IF we hold fast the confidence and the rejoicing firm unto the end.
THose who endure unto the end ……….the same shall be saved.
Be not highminded but fear.
For if God spared not the natural branches, take heed lest he also spare not thee.
Behold therefore the goodness and severity of God; on them which fell severity, but towards us goodness, if we continue in his goodness…….otherwise we too are cut off.
Cast forrth as an unprofitable branch to be burned.
We must have no doubt that all is by Grace.
None would even have the desire to serve Him were it not
by the Spirit.
We were called. But remember God desires obediance.
Therefore be obediant unto the spirit………..walk after the spirit and you shall live.
Walk after the flesh and you will die.
Take heed unto thyself……….they body…………and endure sound doctrine. in doing so you shall save both yourself and them that hear thee.
For it is God who works in us through Christ, the Holy Spirit.
Prompting us to do good.
We can only call Him Lord by the Spirit………..Grace.
But be good stewards of this grace given us……………….teaching us to deny ungodliness and wordly lusts……………and be looking for His coming……..that blessed day.
Wherein is the reward of all who endured unto the end in Christ.
Fall not back after the things of the world, the lusts of the flesh and eyes, and pride of life.
And look at the warnings given believers in the churches of pergamos, thyatira and the other five. THey were warned to repent……………lest they be omitted, taken out etc.
