ahhh, brother Mark good to hear from you….The word “prevent” does not men to prevent, or cause to bock, in the manner in which the word is often understood today. Plus this would be out of context with the weight of scripture. For we know the saints left alive are not going to block the dead saints from having life. So it must be saying something else, as you so rightly surmised that it was.
The word “prevent” means to precede. What Paul is saying is that, the ones left alive on earth will not be caught up and changed in the twinkling of an eye, until first the dead in Christ shall rise. Then those left alive will be caught up in the twinkling of an eye and changed into their incorruptible bodies after the dead in Christ are raised up..These 2 events will probably happen almost simultaneously in my humble opinion, just a guess on my part. These dead in Christ that rise first are all the saints both pre-cross and post-cross, all from the time of Adam.> on forward.
Paul confirms this in verse 16 “and the dead shall rise first” They first are risen and preceed the saints who are then caught up.

Dear Barb, hang in there …. keep up your fight of faith …. I know you can do it, you have been put through much tribulation in your life, which has matured you and made you strong. We would rather have something happen to ourselves than for our children to suffer in any way, but it just does not work this way. I just wanted you to know I am praying for you and your family. I have been away from the board lately, studying, meditating on the scriptures. Sometimes I go through silent periods, but I am here for prayer for anyone. This good fight of faith will bring honor and glory to God almight. Not to ourselves!

Bill, Thanks for the work both here on 1st Thessalonians, and on the Christ’s return audio. I was edified. What I don’t understand is in 1st Thess 4:15. How can we or those alive at His return, “prevent” them which are asleep?, and prevent them from what? I find this curious both in understanding and placement within the chapter. Do you have understanding here? Often it’s those odd sayings or seemingly incongruent verses that stick in my mind. Blessings to you brother, and to all of Israel.m

the mill reign fraud denies the power of the fountain of living waters, “the Holy Spirit”. Why not?… they have rejected the power of the blood of Christ as well . for out of His side poured the blood and the water,,,the blood for the remission of sins and the water is the gift of the Holy Ghost for ever..The bride of Christ was taken from His sleeping body, just as Adams bride Eve was taken from his side when he was asleep.
The mill reign hoax denies the omnipresence and power of the Holy Ghost that was poured out at Pentecost….the core of this false theology teaches that the Holy Ghost is not powerful enough to reach all the people in the world….thus there will be an additional 1000 years after the last day to accomplish all this. (more invisible scripture).In .Romans 1-20 the HG is the 3rd person of the God Head, the “Holy Spirit” speaks to the contrary, it says none will be left with any excuses.
The rapture and the mill reign are both damnable hereseys that blaspheme the Holy ghost.

1 Furthermore then we beseech you, brethren, and exhort you by the Lord Jesus, that as ye have received of us how ye ought to walk and to please God, so ye would abound more and more.
9 But as touching brotherly love ye need not that I write unto you: for ye yourselves are taught of God to love one another.
10 And indeed ye do it toward all the brethren which are in all Macedonia: but we beseech you, brethren, that ye increase more and more; 11 And that ye study to be quiet, and to do your own business, and to work with your own hands, as we commanded you;
In the proper context of this chapter Paul is speaking to the brethren the true believers, those that do the will of the Father. They were told by Paul in this letter to go forth be fruitful and multiply…” we beseech you, brethren, that ye increase more and more”…this is spiritual multiplication, spreading the good seed of the gospel into a darkened world…. in Vs 11 he is commanding them to study and show themselves to be approved in patience. Paul is calling them out be separate. He is speaking from a literal since here as well as spiritual in verse 11.
side note concerning patience; it is a strong virtue of God…one of the spiritual identities of the apostate rapture belief is; (it is not of patience)……. James 5:7 Be patient therefore, brethren, unto the coming of the Lord.
13 But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope. 14 For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him.
Paul is speaking of fellow brethren and sisters in Christ who have now passed on in this life. Paul is assuring them that they will be raised up on the last day, (John ch 6)… Their will be “ONLY ONE” resurrection, not two… (the resurrection of the just unto eternal life, and the resurrection of the unjust to damnation, John 5:29)…….The rapture cult believes in 2 or more resurrections, depending on which brand you choose from… This comes from Jewish dispensational thought. The core of the rapture belief is that the physical race of Jews are God’s chosen people. This false doctrine has been able to divided the church and now make it into 2 parts (the church and Israel)..This is a lie; because Jesus gathered everything into one at the cross. The rapture cult heresy has truly kidnapped Christianity… before the 20th century all Christians believed their was only one group of chosen people (the Christians)…Satan has them now believing that their is 2 groups, the “church and Israel”….Their own Christian identity has been stolen away from them by Satan…..(this is the biggest identity theft ever)
(The terms church and Israel are synonymous) they are ONE in the same. church is the generic term, and Israel is the proper noun. If one belongs to the church of Christ, then they are dwelling in the house of Israel. (all the same thing)
15 For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep. 16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:
When Jesus returns at the 2nd coming, some will remain alive here on earth, these will be caught up and changed in the twinkling of an eye. The ones who have passed on before will be raised up from the dead into incorruptible bodies. This ALL happens at the LAST TRUMP ( 1 Corinthians 15:52)……..there are not several last trumps as the rapture heretics teach.
17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.

We are to be comforted, and comfort one another by these words that God promises which are true and faithful. “For it is impossible for God to lie” (Heb ch 6)
John 14:16 And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever;
This is why Jesus prayed the Father to send the Comforter “the Holy Ghost” to abide in us forever…..Their was a qualifier for those He had sent the Comforter to in verse 16; it is found in John 14- 15 “If ye love me, keep my commandments”..(the brethren).. The Comforter is for those who are in covenant with God. In 1 Thessalonians Paul is speaking to the brethren in this chapter in those who are in covenant God, expressed in verses 9 & 10 to comfort each other as well..
1 Thes 8-13 ties in with Matthew 24 as well,
Matthew 24 29 Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken:
Jesus is speaking of the apostate fallen church in verse 29, (the sun is the gospel of Jesus Christ which gives light) There is no more gospel for it it is darkened…(The moon is the church) who has gone apostate and can no longer reflect the light of the gospel….
.also found in Luke 21-25-29…The fallen stars are the fallen away saints in (Hebrews’-4,5,6)……..
30 And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.
When Christ returns with HIS angels “the tribes of the earth shall mourn” these are the earth dwellers, the apostate, the inhabitants of the earth, who have the mark of the beast. They believe not the gospel of Jesus Christ. These have another jesus or another god. These are the ones who wail at HIs returning. Revelation 1:7,
31 And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds,((( from one end of heaven to the other)))
This is the gathering of the saints at the last trump. Remember the saints who are left alive here on earth are spiritually quickened, translated, and are already seated in heavenly places in God’s kingdom with Christ Jesus. (my kingdom is not of this world, Jesus said)… When Son of man returns on the last day with HIS angels can be found also in Mark 14:62 , Matthew 16-28,29, Matthew 13-49,50……..their is only one final judgment on the last day….their is nothing ever spoken of after the last day except eternity…….the last day is the last day, period……then the unjust will be cast into outer darkness for eternity, and the just shall have life in the new heavens and the new earth for eternity…..This same thing applies to the good and bad angels as well.

Barb: God Bless, and of course I will pray for you, and yours. Having our faith tested is sometimes very hard, especially when our loved ones are involved. I know that your faith in the Lord is strong, and whatever is rearing it’s ugly head will be taken out of the way by the power of the Holy Spirit. Jesus is the “rock” on which we stand, and there is power in HIS name, power to overcome any obstacle. Be strong, and know He’s with you every step of the way.

Good morning Sandra, Bill, Mark, Randall, Lynn and others. Such good discussion going on here and I am happy to know you all. I am asking you to keep my family in prayer during this time. The enemy of our souls has raised his proud and arrogant head in seeking power over one of our children and new grandbaby. I stand amazed that my strong faith can tremble now and then – as it does now. I do consider these times to be times of strengthening though – and I recognize the Lord’s presense and power, but today I tremble at the assault. Thank you in advance for your help – as I wait patiently for His help.
“Rest in the Lord, and wait patiently for him”
(Ps. 37:7).
Have you prayed and prayed and waited and waited, and still there is no manifestation?
Are you tired of seeing nothing move? Are you just at the point of giving it all up? Perhaps you have not waited in the right way? This would take you out of the right place the place where He can meet you.
“With patience wait”
(Rom. 8:25). Patience takes away worry. He said He would come, and His promise is equal to His presence. Patience takes away your weeping. Why feel sad and despondent? He knows your need better than you do, and His purpose in waiting is to bring more glory out of it all. Patience takes away self-works. The work He desires is that you “believe” (John 6:29), and when you believe, you may then know that all is well. Patience takes away all want. Your desire for the thing you wish is perhaps stronger than your desire for the will of God to be fulfilled in its arrival.
Patience takes away all weakening. Instead of having the delaying time, a time of letting go, know that God is getting a larger supply ready and must get you ready too. Patience takes away all wobbling. “Make me stand upon my standing” (Daniel 8:18, margin). God’s foundations are steady; and when His patience is within, we are steady while we wait. Patience gives worship. A praiseful patience sometimes “long-suffering with joyfulness” (Col. 1:11) is the best part of it all. “Let (all these phases of) patience have her perfect work” (James 1:4), while you wait, and you will find great enrichment. –C. I also believe that the LAST trumpet is AFTER the tribulation, not before and I want to make clear in my reading of this passage in First Thessalonian ch.4 verse 13 -18 that there will not be a rapture as it seems to be referred too as some believe it to read…Thank-you again….I see in the Gospel of Mark which I feel explains very well that the last trumpet is after the tribulation and not before so why do some believe it will take place before and not after???…I have an on going discussion about this with my sibling up North, any advice on this will be helpful for I do not want it to go into an argument with him….Thank-you Bill Love In Christ Lynn

sister Barb be blessed, your strong in the Lord, and a light for us all; I don’t fully understand how this works neither. But Jesus said from early on that Judas was a devil in John ch 6… It was Judas who brought shame to Christ, and that shame glorified God. Very mysterious happenings. Concerning the typologies of the disciples, their temperaments, and personalities, I would say that I agree with you .. I must say from this Judas study you presented Barb that the Spirit has led me to do a breakout study of Hebrews ch. 6.

Concerning Judas, he was controlled by the POD, as I’m sure we all know. Bro. Bill explained this very well. Pete, has ( I think he still has these videos) called “Placebo” by Howard Pittman, if anyone is having issues concerning the POD (powers of darkness) then I recommend watching this series. They go into detail about who/what/how of the POD.
Just remember, the powers of darkness are under God’s control, as is everything on earth, and in heaven. Satan was allowed to take everything from Job, key word (allowed), but they couldn’t take his life. Though Job became very weak, and was about ready to give in, he didn’t, he held to his faith, and found strength in the Lord, and that same strength is still there for us, today, we just need to grab on, and not let go, for the POD are hard at work today, and we will all be tempted, persecuted, and will go through many trials, but we must hold to our faith in Jesus, no matter what comes. They (POD) will flee from you with just one word, JESUS. That is a powerful word, is it not? Let us thank, and praise His Holy name for ever.

@ Bill – yes, I agree with all that you say regarding Judas. I do question whether the Lord deliberately chose someone with a bad heart as His apostle though. It is still my thought that each one of those apostles represent types of people that we are – or types of temperaments and personalities that make up His Body. He certainly wasn’t wholeheartedly involved with Christ, after a time, and had become superficial in the relationship. Interesting, thanks for your input.

There will be a LAST DAY, and it surely comes, just as the LORD hath said it would. The Lord has waited a very long time (in our eyes) to claim His own, so do we really think that when HIS DAY comes that HE will tarry, He is just as anxious as we are, but wishes for none to perish. There wont be some kind of “secret” rapture, and then a 3 1/2 or 7 year, (make up my mind) situation. The Lord will come QUICK, and SWIFT, and then it will be over, IN THE BLINK OF AN EYE, KABOOM!!!!!!!!!!THE END, all at once, in the LAST DAY. So be ever watchful, for none knows the DAY nor the HOUR.

Like Lucifer, the Lord knew Judas heart. Jesus set a snare for Judas by making him the treasurer of HIS church. This is a hard saying; and I don’t have all the answers but, it appears that Judas was intentionally placed in a position to be tempted….This is in the Lords prayer…(by the way; everything is in the Lords prayer, it is all the Fathers will)… “lead me not into temptation” ….Its the Lord who sets the snare and allows those to be tempted (Jeremiah 50)…..Its the Lords will that we pray for deliverance from temptation.
My guess is that Judas was not happy with the way things were going, and he discerned through his own thought process and observations in matters surrounding the situation that the Lord didn’t appear to be going to established the new kingdom…at least anytime soon. This is an expression of his lack of patients .
And of course the bible says “the love of money is the root of all evil”.. which is the covertness of the things of this world.
Hebrews 6:4 For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost, 5 And have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the world to come, 6 If they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put him to an open shame

Perdition is to fall away…One has to ask themselves if Judas had partaken of these 5 things listed in Hebrews ch 6,,,, this meaning that they have completely fallen away from God’s grace and it is impossible to renew them again unto repentance; The book of Acts says Judas took part in the ministry, and he was numbered among the 12 (reckoned)…..It says it is impossible to renew one again unto repentance after these 5 things. My guess is that Judas did partake of the 5 things..which means that he blasphemed the Holy Ghost, the unpardonable sin unto death…He was blaspheming the Holy ghost when the woman was anointing Jesus with the expensive oils..
. Remember Judas main problem was that he was not able to repent. This is where the rubber meets the road…The book of Rev says men will seek death and not find it. Meaning they will not be able to repent….Now one would say that “with God all things are possible” so this must mean that Judas did not have God, nor want God. Jeremiah 50 says that God does this because they “strive against the Lord”…which would be the opposite of “striving to inter in at the straight gate”… So Jesus knowing all things from the beginning set a snare for Judas.
What I find remarkable, and trembling, is this; Lucifer and his angels actually were in the very presence of God and yet they still fell away and left their own habitation.
These are just some observations on my part after viewing the circumstances surrounding the fate of Judas. I may have it wrong, I don’t know everything…who can know the mind of God..

There ya go Mark – the scriptures I was thinking about as I was wondering about the attitude of Judas. There is an old saying that “all that glitters is not gold.” I see so many souls attempting to escape discomfort by following after the “glitter” – the false promise of either material prosperity or peace. We need to remember that Christ did not come to bring peace -but a sword to bring division. I think Judas could not tolerate division from his safeplace amongst religious leaders of his day. As for those disciples – same thing. They’d rather ride the risk rather than go for the gold. Take heart you who struggle right now. The reward will be great if you cling to Christ and trust Him to see you through.
Yes, I believe that’s important. How can we come out of ‘great tribulation’ unless we choose to?-our free will-[choose this day] And how can we really, in our hearts, willingly choose to, without counting the cost? Luke 14:27 “And whosoever beareth not his cross, and cometh after me, cannot be my disciple. 28 For which of you minding to build a tower, sitting not down before, and counteth the cost, whether he have sufficient to perform it,…” —It will cost us everything here, EVERYTHING.— James 4:7 “Submit yourselves to God: resist the devil, and he will flee from you.8 Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners, and purge your hearts, ye double minded.” -and that’s ‘good news’- All praise and thanksgiving be to the living God of Israel. M

It is possible, for those who really are willing to reckon on the power of the Lord for keeping and victory, to lead a life in which His promises are taken as they stand and are found to be true.
It is possible to cast all our care upon Him daily and to enjoy deep peace in doing it.
It is possible to have the thoughts and imaginations of our hearts purified, in the deepest meaning of the word.
It is possible to see the will of God in everything, and to receive it, not with sighing, but with singing.
It is possible by taking complete refuge in Divine power to become strong through and through; and, where previously our greatest weakness lay, to find that things which formerly upset all our resolves to be patient, or pure, or humble, furnish today an opportunity–through Him who loved us, and works in us an agreement with His will and a blessed sense of His presence and His power–to make sin powerless over us.
These things are DIVINE POSSIBILITIES, and because they are His work, the true experience of them will always cause us to bow lower at His feet and to learn to thirst and long for more.

We may have as much of God as we will. Christ puts the key of the treasure-chamber into our hand, and bids us take all that we want. If a man is admitted into the bullion vault of a bank, and told to help himself, and comes out with one cent, whose fault is it that he is poor? Whose fault is it that Christian people generally have such scanty portions of the free riches of God? –McLaren.
I don’t know what the discussion is regarding John 6 – but I have been thinking a lot about Judas lately. I mean, how in the world was it possible for one to walk so closely to the Lord as to be considered one of the apostles – and then betray Him later? Then, Mark, you also mention those disciples who “walked no more tihe Him.” That too has given me something to think about. Let me share my thoughts on this.
I believe that Judas represents so many of us who live superficially with Him. We enjoy the blessings, but don’t pay much attention to the price that must be paid. I think Judas may have been like what we call these days as “church people”. Perhaps he didn’t have too much of a problem with that present day state of refligious affairs – but was drawn to Christ by His growing popularity and the evident power that Christ had. I think too that Judas was the money handler and perhaps had a besetting problem with money. Perhaps he considered that if he helped bring Christ to the “religious” leaders of the day, that not much would happen. Doesn’t that sound like some of us these days? We go to church, perhaps, feel good about ourselves – but also get interested in the Kingdom now rising up in the earth. Will we also be given the opportunity to leave one behind and stretch for the new? Will we be able to shed the old wineskin to make room for the new? I think many will not do that. I think Judas represents many who know the Lord personally but then leave – actually like many of the disciples did when they decided, for one reason or another, that the way of Christ was too difficult.
Any other thoughts on this subject?

in John ch 6, listed 4 times ; after all the tribulation,,,

Though the persecutions be picking up, and the darkness grows………………..there be the LIGHT by which we see, to illuminate the way, the path, in the Son to the Father. Where in HIS DAY all who endured unto the end…………shall be raised, and those still living changed………..and the reward which is the hope, that is invisible to us now………….Yet abides in our hearts the promise of the reward of eternal life , forever free from bodies of death, that in the end corrupt away,
For hope that is seen is not hope…………..but that which we wait for…………..IS.
And though He cannot yet be seen………………..one day we shall see Him as HE is……….for we too shall be changed, new bodies……….and shall be like HE now is……………resurrected.
Now this is HOPE………that should never fade……………and all of the truth shall endure in Him forever. This light affliction which is but a moment…………….hails not in comparision to the glory which shall be revealed………..in HIS DAY. Oh yes……………..HE shall come quickly. To deliver the righteous from the wrath to come, and to deliver the wrath , to tread the winepress of GOd.
Now labor peoples……………..to enter into that REST. Labor, for our labor is not in vain in the LORD. And beware the one prophesied of long ago………..the dark one, and his Kings shall rule with the Beast……………and all in the name of a psuedo peace…………and by peace shall destroy many. Many shall be tried, made white, purified. For it is given to the dark one to overcome the saints………………but to the elect…………….the evil cannot touch the soul, nor can this dark one cast any of Christ into perdition, eternal damnation. Thus be unafraid………………fear only God.
And to hate evil……………..is to FEAR GOD………….read them proverbs…….and hate every false way. hate covetousness……….and a man shall prolong his life. hate every false balance.

Thank you Sandra for checking up on Esther and posting her lovely response. It’s been a little quieter here in our discussion group – which leads me to believe that perhaps the purging fire of holiness has been fired up and getting hotter. I can say that this is so here in my home.
Through the years I can look back and recognize the times where I questioned God’s moving in my life, where I felt discouraged and sometimes unbelief was nipping at my heels. There was a particular horrible time when we lost a child and I couldn’t concentrate at work; my calm and peaceful demeanor that usually was my way – wasn’t there. I struggled daily just to get up in the morning – and my hour long trek to work, I even considered driving the car off the road into Lake Superior. But – there was a time, a year later, when coworkers told me how they had watched me during that time, and had been touched at the peace they’d seen in me and the strength of endurance they had witnessed. I was so shocked! It was true that I had believed my God and He had seen me through, but where in the world had they seen that??? As hard as it was for me to endure though – I can see now that there was a purpose to that purging in me. A new priority in my life began to energe, a more sensitive compassion perhaps, but more then that was the realization that our son was taken home and is now one of those saints up there praying for us now for the grace and strength to meet the need of today. And is there not a huge need in the world right now?
May God bless those who are struggling today. I encourage you to hang in there and trust God to accomplish all He has set out to do in your life. You will be better when He is done then you were before, along with the benefits of having been purged – the joy and the peace that follow.

Let Me Do It
“Mary…sat at Jesus’ feet, and heard his word…Mary hath too chosen that good part, which shall not be taken away from her.” Luke 10:39, 42
Never miss these times. It is not what I reveal to you so much as the linking up of your frail natures with the limitless Divine Powers. Already, forces are set in motion. Only My Will is coming to pass. And now God is blessing you very richly.
You think that there is much to do in a crisis like this. There is only one thing to do. Link your lives onto the Divine Forces, and then, it is as much My work to see those lives and their affairs run in an orderly right manner as to see that tomorrow’s Sun rises.
It is not passionate appeal that gains the Divine Ear so much as the quiet placing of the difficulty and worry in the Divine Hands. So trust and be no more afraid than a child would be, who places its tangled skein of wool in the hands of a loving mother, and runs out to play, pleasing the mother more by its unquestioning confidence than if it went down on its knees and implored her help, which would pain her the rather, as it would imply she was not eager to help when help was needed.
“Have faith that whatever you ask for in prayer is already granted you, and you will find that it will be”
(Mark 11:24).
When my little son was about ten years of age, his grandmother promised him a stamp album for Christmas. Christmas came, but no stamp album, and no word from grandmother. The matter, however, was not mentioned; but when his playmates came to see his Christmas presents, I was astonished, after he had named over this and that as gifts received, to hear him add,
“And a stamp album from grandmother.”
I had heard it several times, when I called him to me, and said, “But, Georgie, you did not get an album from your grandmother. Why do you say so?”
There was a wondering look on his face, as if he thought it strange that I should ask such a question, and he replied, “Well, mamma, grandma said, so it is the same as.” I could not say a word to check his faith.
A month went by, and nothing was heard from the album. Finally, one day, I said, to test his faith, and really wondering in my heart why the album had not been sent,
“Well, Georgie, I think grandma has forgotten her promise.”
“Oh, no, mamma,” he quickly and firmly said, “she hasn’t.”
I watched the dear, trusting face, which, for a while, looked very sober, as if debating the possibilities I had suggested. Finally a bright light passed over it, and he said,
“Mamma, do you think it would do any good if I should write to her thanking her for the album?”
“I do not know,” I said, “but you might try it.”
A rich spiritual truth began to dawn upon me. In a few minutes a letter was prepared and committed to the mail, and he went off whistling his confidence in his grandma. In just a short time a letter came, saying:
“My dear Georgie: I have not forgotten my promise to you, of an album. I tried to get such a book as you desired, but could not get the sort you wanted; so I sent on to New York. It did not get here till after Christmas, and it was still not right, so I sent for another, and as it has not come as yet, I send you three dollars to get one in Chicago. Your loving grandma.”
“As he read the letter, his face was the face of a victor. “Now, mamma, didn’t I tell you?” came from the depths of a heart that never doubted, that, “against hope, believed in hope” that the stamp album would come. While he was trusting, grandma was working, and in due season faith became sight.
It is so human to want sight when we step out on the promises of God, but our Savior said to Thomas, and to the long roll of doubters who have ever since followed him: “Blessed are they who have not seen, and yet have believed.” –Mrs. Rounds

The Lord Was There
. . . Although the Lord was there . . .
Ezekiel 35:10
Edom’s princes saw the whole country left desolate and counted upon its easy conquest; but there was one great difficulty in their way–quite unknown to them–”The Lord was there”; and in His presence lay the special security of the chosen land. Whatever may be the machinations and devices of the enemies of God’s people, there is still the same effectual barrier to thwart their plan.
The saints are God’s heritage, and He is among them and will protect His own. This assurance grants us comfort in our troubles and spiritual conflicts! We are constantly opposed and yet perpetually preserved! How often Satan shoots his arrows against our faith, but our faith defies the power of hell’s fiery darts; they are not only turned aside, but they are quenched upon its shield, for “the Lord was there.”
Our good works are the subjects of Satan’s attacks. A believer never yet had a virtue or a grace that was not the target for hellish bullets: whether it was bright and sparkling hope, or warm and fervent love, or all-enduring patience, or zeal flaming like coals of fire, the old enemy of everything that is good has tried to destroy it. The only reason why anything virtuous or lovely survives in us is this: “the Lord was there.”
If the Lord is with us through life, we do not need to fear death; for when we come to die, we will find that “the Lord is there.” Where the billows are most tempestuous, and the water is most chill, we shall feel the bottom and know that it is good; our feet shall stand upon the Rock of Ages when time is passing away. Dear friend, from the beginning of a Christian’s life to the end, the only reason he does not perish is because “the Lord was there.” When the God of everlasting love shall change and leave His elect to perish, then may the church of God be destroyed; but not until then, because it is written, JEHOVAH SHAMMAH, “The Lord was there.”
Heres a thought to ponder. Why do i sound so different than so many?
Then remember, i never grew up in church, etc.
All the doctrine i got came not from man but God. And the Holy Spirit gives understanding of the scrips. So why do i sound different than many…………….the answer i leave for you to decided.
GRACE………….that is why. The BIBLE, that gives instruction in righteousness……….gives me instruction. FOr it was the Spirit which put me in the word. And the WORD in me. Now isnt that just beautiful……….all is by Grace…………..oh yes……………ALL is by Grace.
NOW be OBEDIANT………….for GOD desires OBEDIANCE.
Many more than we realize have already begun to fall away from the truth, sound doctrine, the true faith in Christ alone………not man.
And sadly i see it most everywhere i have been. Most everywhere.
So let us all take the time which is both needful and necessary………to examine ourselves by GODS truth…………not mans mixed speeches.
Go back to sound doctrine. Do not wait…………..i say again dont wait…………many teach both GOD and mans doctrine…………this will only be death. For it is the WHOLE rightly divided word of truth we must teach. Mans wisdom……….which is but foolishness has crept unto many churches……….and if they be made not a fool in this worlds wisdom………they will never be made WISE. and the end will be but death. I warn us all. I warn us all. Oh yes the WORD is SPIRIT.
And comes and indwells…………….BY GRACE. Take heed now…………………take heed.
Walk after the flesh we die…………..death, hell, lake of fire…….but walk after the spirit…….and there is no condmenation. Take heed unto thyself……….and unto SOUND DOCTRINE.
Letus not forget these things either. Be blessed.
Let us dig ever deep for the deeper meaning of the words of truth.
Our light affliction which is but a moment is because our life in comparision to eternity is but a moment a mere vapour. Yes, there are times of peace in our walk. But let us never be so far strayed as to ever believe we hit a POINT where no more afflictions or persecutions will arise.
Peter, James, John, Paul, and scores of others would by their own lives testify that persecutions and afflictions are there till the very end. We never hit the point of true attainment till the very end.
ITs not that we ever EARN our salvation……………its just day by day we always have CHOICE on whether to continue on in the ONLY goodness we have, which is OF GOD, or do we in severe degradation choose flesh over spirit. Now dig ever deep. Too many are becoming infected with the carnal thought process of hitting a POINT of ENLIGHTENMENT, or ATTAINMENT, that we have our OWN personal HEAVEN ON EARTH. NEVER believe this. FOr this world is not to for a second be counted HOME. OURS comes when CHRIST COMES. ANd any who do not continue in the SON shall NEVER attain salvation. So let us be faithful in where we have already attained in CHRIST. FOR if we continue, with the same confidence as we had at the beginning, IF we hold fast to sound doctrine, Taking heed unto the Spirit, which is LIFE, then at the end of our faith, the end of all trials, in THAT DAY, HIS DAY, we shall reap the reward of the true prize, the high calling in Christ, our faith in Christ which overcomes all. Now dig deep. IF we would but go back to the bible, and steer far from many false teachers…………we would be made wise unto salvation through our faith in Christ. There is naught but deception out there…….and sadly many who profess Christ, yet have denied the TRUE POWER, HIM, claim through sensual and loving speeches the cause of the HUMAN race. Steer far from these false , though they can appear in light, and speak of peace, and world unity for the greater cause……………they be FALSE.
FOR it is a peace not to the GLORY OF GOD, but for MAN, tis MAN MADE and MAN FALSE.
They appear righteous for they do many good works, feeding , clothing, helping others……….but it is for a cause which stems from the deep , dark chambers of MANS heart, not the new heart given by GOd. I tell you all……………it be very , very deceptive. Were it not for GRACE alone i too would easily have been swayed by its allure. Which in the end would be but death.
This spirit in them paves the way for the embodiment of darkness………which soon , shalll arrive, and even now is in the world. Yall dig ever deeper in the holy and righteous cause of God.
FOr this new age concept has dug in the minds of even those who profess to be against it.
Its always been about the commandments which fullfill all. LOve God with all, this means ALL the haert……and love thy neighvor as thyself. A true follower of any other religion would believe it to be all about works………in fact a true and not luke warm follower of muslims would be a killer. For fear would produce the necessity of doing JIHAD to be truly saved. Yet a true extremeist christian would be dead to this world, all its monies , all its cares of life, and would be free to truly LOVE THE OTHER, counting their welfare above our own. Loving all,,,,,,,,,,and loving even enemies till our last breath. Even as they come to kill us…………loving an forgiving them as did scores of early christians. If all were christain. and i mean in truth and spirit…………..the whole world would have already world peace…….true world peace. But even many who profess to know him , stay busy with cares of life, etc………..and the poor die from lack of food, which we take for granted, yet are not content……….we have to have this or that…………we need that new truck. That is NOT LOVE. that is LUST, and i will indentify its falshood to our FACE. With modern concepts of if we just had this or that……………we could do more………….false, false , false. WE have GOD and thus we have ALL. And we have no need to keep seeking more wealth, and saving up for retirements etc……..which MAY NEVER COME. YEt the world starves. We could be DEAD tonight, and then whose money is that which was stored up in hoopes of the easiere life. We ought live day by day, and do so as the early church did. If you want to be perfect go and sell your abundance……..give to those who truly lack, and have treasures stored above. And if you dont want to take my word for it……………well i got them from our OWN CHRIST. NOW DIG DEEP. Teach on These things.
Be blessed all lambs……..and i hope this digs so deep in our hearts……….GODS LOVE is poured unto all those who lack and we too freely give in all things as we too have FREELY RECEIVED all things in Christ. If we dont want to be perfect then disregaurd what has been written. But i warn us………………I wouldnt do THAT, oh no i would NOT do that. The end of that one is not GOOD. Just remember the words…………IT is better to give than to recieve. Now be blessed .
Here is a word that touched my heart this morning – as I too was faced with a particular aggressive form of cancer 12 years ago – but also knew it was a temporary affliction. I did know the Lord however, unlike Elaine who posted this next word, and I had the grace to believe that the God I served was the God of impossibilities. Be blessed.

Hindsight is Always 20/20

This morning I was reminded of when I had cancer thirty five years ago. At that time I lost all my hair from the Chemotherapy treatments. I remember one day when I was looking in the mirror and laughing at myself. My mother said, at least you could laugh at it. The reason that I was able to laugh was because I knew that it was temporary. I had an extremely aggressive and rare cancer in the forth stage and even though I wasn’t supposed to survive, I believed that one day I would be leading a normal life again. I wish I could attribute that tenacity to being a strong steadfast Christian but I didn’t even know Jesus personally at the time. I was obstinate and determined, but totally unaware that Jesus had other plans for my life.
The Lord says, though the fight has been fierce and the battle seems to be constantly raging, I am in control of every area of your life. As you look back in hindsight you will remember all that I have brought you through in the past. Do not despair these present misfortunes because I will complete all that I have began in your life. There is so much more that I have for you Never forget My promises to you. I have made a Covenant with you and I shall keep My word. I am not a man that I should lie. I will not harm you, mislead you or fail you.
Don’t live in fear of the future. Do not fear what you see in the natural. Know that this will pass. Everything in the natural is subject to change. The enemy can not thwart any plan that I have established. Although the circumstances are undeniable trust Me because you are not of this world but you are in Covenant with Me. Stay steadfast in My will and I will surely supply all your needs as you trust Me to bring you through. Don’t allow your present situation to determine your future says the Lord.
Numbers 23:19 God is not a man, that He should lie, Nor a son of man, that He should repent. Has He said, and will He not do? Or has He spoken, and will He not make it good?
Job 42:2 Job replied I know that you can do all things; no plan of Yours can be thwarted.
2 Corinthians 4:18 So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.

God here speaks in the immediate present. It is not something He is going to do, but something He does do, this moment. So faith ever speaks. So God ever gives. So He is meeting you today, in the present moment. This is the test of faith. So long as you are waiting for a thing, hoping for it, looking for it, you are not believing. It may be hope, it may be earnest desire, but it is not faith; for “faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.” The command in regard to believing prayer is the present tense. “When ye pray, believe that ye receive the things that ye desire, and ye shall have them.” Have we come to that moment? True faith counts on God, and believes before it sees. Naturally, we want some evidence that our petition is granted before we believe; but when we walk by faith we need no other evidence than God’s Word. He has spoken, and according to our faith it shall be done unto us. We shall see because we have believed, and this faith sustains us in the most trying places, when everything around us seems to contradict God’s Word.
The Psalmist says, “I had fainted, unless I had believed to see the goodness of the Lord in the land of living” (Ps. 27:13). He did not see as yet the Lord’s answer to his prayers, but he believed to see; and this kept him from fainting.
If we have the faith that believes to see, it will keep us from growing discouraged. We shall “laugh at impossibilities,” we shall watch with delight to see how God is going to open up a path through the Red Sea when there is no human way out of our difficulty. It is just in such places of severe testing that our faith grows and strengthens.
Have you been waiting upon God, dear troubled one, during long nights and weary days, and have feared that you were forgotten? Nay, lift up your head, and begin to praise Him even now for the deliverance which is on its way to you. –Life of Praise
I should have started that quote out of Mark a couple of verses prior with # 24 where it says: –”And his disciples were afraid at his words.”—– Wake up, Sober up Israel.
Pete, It’s not out there at all. It’s the Truth and it needs to be heard. There is judgement all around, Gods wrath is poured out, there is no denying it. If you are of the fold, if you have eyes to see, then it’s obvious and we need to take heed.This is a good word, and you know how timely it is. I confess, I mess around way too much.We need to be of sober spirit, continually in prayer for all the saints. The time is short, the end is near. Mark 10:26&7 “And they were much more astonied, saying with themselves, Who then can be saved? But Jesus looked upon them, and said, With men it is impossible, but not with God, for with God all things are possible.” Let us pray for one another, that the Spirit of our God and His Christ be poured out on us in these last days. That truely is, our only hope.
“Though I have afflicted thee, I will afflict thee no more”
(Nah. 1:12).
There is a limit to affliction. God sends it, and removes it. Do you sigh and say, “When will the end be?” Let us quietly wait and patiently endure the will of the Lord till He cometh. Our Father takes away the rod when His design in using it is fully served.
If the affliction is sent for testing us, that our graces may glorify God, it will end when the Lord has made us bear witness to His praise.
We would not wish the affliction to depart until God has gotten out of us all the honor which we can possibly yield Him.
There may be today “a great calm.” Who knows how soon those raging billows will give place to a sea of glass, and the sea birds sit on the gentle waves?
After long tribulation, the flail is hung up, and the wheat rests in the garner. We may, before many hours are past, be just as happy as now we are sorrowful.
It is not hard for the Lord to turn night into day. He that sends the clouds can as easily clear the skies. Let us be of good cheer. It is better farther on. Let us sing Hallelujah by anticipation.

“Fret not thyself”
(Ps. 37:1).
Do not get into a perilous heat about things. If ever heat were justified, it was surely justified in the circumstances outlined in the Psalm. Evil-doers were moving about clothed in purple and fine linen, and faring sumptuously every day. “Workers of iniquity” were climbing into the supreme places of power, and were tyrannizing their less fortunate brethren. Sinful men and women were stalking through the land in the pride of life and basking in the light and comfort of great prosperity, and good men were becoming heated and fretful.
“Fret not thyself.” Do not get unduly heated! Keep cool! Even in a good cause, fretfulness is not a wise help-meet. Fretting only heats the bearings; it does not generate the steam. It is no help to a train for the axles to get hot; their heat is only a hindrance. When the axles get heated, it is because of unnecessary friction; dry surfaces are grinding together, which ought to be kept in smooth co-operation by a delicate cushion of oil.
And is it not a suggestive fact that this word “fret” is closely akin to the word “friction,” and is an indication of absence of the anointing oil of the grace of God?
In fretfulness, a little bit of grit gets into the bearings–some slight disappointment, some ingratitude, some discourtesy–and the smooth working of the life is checked. Friction begets heat; and with the heat, most dangerous conditions are created.
Do not let thy bearings get hot. Let the oil of the Lord keep thee cool, lest by reason of an unholy heat thou be reckoned among the evil-doers. –The Silver Lining
