The Consuming Fire of God
In this post, I want to share some things the Lord has revealed which will put in proper context the Scriptures which speak to fire and judgments. I pray you are given eyes to see and ears to hear these truths and will come to believe the good news of the one true gospel.
Hebrews 12:29 For our God is a devouring fire
Deut 4:24 For the LORD your God is a consuming fire, a jealous God
Carnal man has truly maligned the nature and character of our GREAT GOD. HE truly is love to the core and HIS mercies know no bounds. The doctrine of eternal torment and man’s self will to choose God as has been discussed of late are truly doctrines of devils which point away from the Cross and the Lord Jesus Christ. Such doctrines do not conform one to true godliness which is a God kind of love. This kind loves its own enemies and rather than torment them forever, this love converts them using His greatness and unlimited power. Not even physical death is an obstacle.
John the Baptist spoke of the fire that we all would be baptized into by Jesus. This fire has been very much maligned by carnal men who do not believe this good news gospel. This fire is very good news just as getting the Holy Spirit.
Matthew 3:10-11 Therefore every tree which does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. 11 I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance, but He who is coming after me is mightier than I, whose sandals I am not worthy to carry. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire.
You see our God is a jealous God. He wants our whole hearts dedicated to Him in true love. This is what an almighty God gets in the end. He gets what He wants, all hearts shall be purified and loving Him. Carnal man cannot accept this and as mere piece of clay will continue to think he direct his own steps. But we have already shown that is silly as the Scriptures declare from front to back. It is a very good thing that we get salted with fire. The more fire the better. The sooner the better.
God will chop down the proud trees that resist His will to purify them of themselves! But the purpose of the fire is always good in the end. This is the chastening of the Lord which seems like punishment, and it is to some extent, but its purposes are love and to draw all hearts back to God. Do you see it?
Jesus Christ came to save the whole world, and to seek all that were lost. In due time this will all be done just as Has been promised through God’s covenants. Jesus wanted to get on quickly with putting His Chosen Ones, the Elect out into this earth. The unadulterated truth that only God can show a man, will light a fire into the hearts of men to proclaim this gospel in all boldness to the ends of the earth. I have been lit on fire by the power of God.
Luke 12:49 I have come to cast fire upon the earth; and how I wish it were already kindled!
God’s anger is a fire this is true. But it is the love of God that makes Him angry over our rebellion and resistance to His Spirit. But like a loving earthly father, our heavenly Father will use His anger to bring about good. Oh praise God for those who see this now. Isaiah the prophet spoke of this as well and this is one of my favorite Scriptures that I now finally truly understand and rejoice over
Isaiah 48:10 Behold, I have refined you, but not as silver; I have tested you in the furnace of affliction.
It is through suffering that we are cleansed and made ready to receive the Spirit of God. There are pre operative procedures that God undertakes with tribulation and fires to prep for the circumcision of the heart. I share this as an analogy only.
God’s fire is like a refiner’s fire. Its whole purpose is not to punish people, especially not forever without end as the false demonic doctrine of eternal hell puts forth. No, God’s purposes are always for good, ALWAYS, and God’s fire is there to draw people to Him and to purify us to restore us back to the divine nature that is God. The Prophet Malachi spoke of Jesus coming and likened this to a refiner’s fire.
Malachi 3 – But who can endure the day of His coming?
And who can stand when He appears?
For He is like a refiner’s fire
and like launderers’ soap.
3 He will sit as a refiner and a purifier of silver;
He will purify the sons of Levi,
And purge them as gold and silver,
That they may offer to the Lord
An offering in righteousness.
Again here we see clearly the purposes for all of God’s judgments. There are to purify His sons and daughters, not to torment them FOREVER. His anger is but for a short time as the Psalm 30 tells us. The character of God has been greatly stained by carnal man and this doctrine of eternal hell. You will be ashamed when you are given eyes to see it.
But Jesus is our HIGH PRIEST and sits with the Father making a propitiation for our sins but also those of the whole world (1 John 2:2). But you see, the role of a priest is always to put fire on the altar of God. Let’s look at God’s instructions to His priests.
Leviticus 1 – The sons of Aaron the priest shall put fire on the altar, and lay the wood in order on the fire. 8 Then the priests, Aaron’s sons, shall lay the parts, the head, and the fat in order on the wood that is on the fire upon the altar; 9 but he shall wash its entrails and its legs with water. And the priest shall burn all on the altar as a burnt sacrifice, an offering made by fire, a sweet aroma to the Lord.
The hearts of the people are the wood as we will see below. God does choose who comes to Him and when. This is God’s way. In John 10, Jesus even says the sheep are called by name, individually when HE determines. But carnal man still thinks he chooses and not God.
John 10:3 To him the doorkeeper opens, and the sheep hear his voice, and he calls his own sheep by name and leads them out.
Jesus has called me out of my carnal deceptions. The election of God is clear for those who see spiritual things with God given eyes. I will soon share some more on this God willing. God uses His few chosen ones, the very few among the many called, to be the very fire that is sent throughout this world. We are the salt of the earth, and we rain fire down on this earth by preaching this gospel. This is what will turn the hearts of the people back to God when they believe.
Leviticus 6:11-13 and the fire on the altar shall be kept burning on it; it shall not be put out. And the priest shall burn wood on it every morning, and lay the burnt offering in order on it; and he shall burn on it the fat of the peace offerings. 13 A fire shall always be burning on the altar; it shall never go out.
This is the ETERNAL FIRE, not some made up eternal torment. We know a literal fire burns no more on an altar in physical Israel. This is speaking of the WORD of God pricking the hearts of His people. God has raised forth in each generation those He has chosen to as priests on His kingdom. This is not a merited election; it is simply something God decided before the foundations of this world. So nobody shall be boasting, but we shall be preaching boldly as the Lord gives us the very words to speak and to write.
Jeremiah 5:14 Wherefore thus saith the Lord God of hosts, because ye speak this word, behold, I will make my words in thy mouth fire, and this people wood, and it shall devour them.
This true gospel is a fire. The hearts of carnal man is the wood. The words of Jesus are eternal life and when they go out they never return to Him void. They will accomplish all of His divine purposes in their appointed time.
The carnal man has looked at the book of revelation thru fleshly eyes. They will use this verse that follows to support a total unbiblical view of an eternal torment. But they are yet carnal and know not the true heavenly things of God. Only God can give eyes to see these things.
Revelation 14 – If anyone worships the beast and his image, and receives his mark on his forehead or on his hand, 10 he himself shall also drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out full strength into the cup of His indignation. He shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels and in the presence of the Lamb. 11 And the smoke of their torment ascends forever and ever; and they have no rest day or night, who worship the beast and his image, and whoever receives the mark of his name.”
This verse is speaking to the righteous judgments of God that are already in this earth. Those judgments, which are pure and which are likened to honey and even pure gold (Psalm 19) are wonderful things as the Master Potter bends and shapes His creation to His glory. The torment is in the hearts of men who must die to themselves and their self will so God can give them the new heart and pour His love into them. This is all the work of God and not of any man or certainly not the self will of man. Man does not choose to come get a new heart. Until such conversion is granted by God in His kindness (Rom 2:4), man will not have true peace, they will sit exalted themselves on God’s throne and resist the things of the Spirit. They will worship self, that beast that lives within them and the false image of God they have created in their carnal mind.
But in the appointed time, as the true words of God are spoken as a fire. They will be given ears to hear and the conversion will take place and their hearts will all be won back to the Lord. For some, the few, this will happen on this side of the grave. But for most, it will come later in the ages to come. Yet many here cannot see this truth and continue in their carnal deceptions and darkened foolish hearts to oppose the truth of God’s word.
1 COR 3:13-15 each one’s work will become clear; for the Day will declare it, because it will be revealed by fire; and the fire will test each one’s work, of what sort it is. 14 If anyone’s work which he has built on it endures, he will receive a reward. 15 If anyone’s work is burned, he will suffer loss; but he himself will be saved, yet so as through fire.
In the end God’s love wins out and all men are saved. Jesus ensured that on the cross. But far greater glory remains for those who come to know God in this age. Such will not work for their salvation, they will know that this is already finished in heaven. Such like me now, will only be working because I love God and I may be found worthy of a reward. So this I press onward for the mark and this HIGHER CALLING of God, that is given to just a few. Many will see their works burned up and exposed for the false gospel and other jesus’s they followed. But they all shall yet be saved in the very end. All God’s promises will come to pass. It is finished.
I don’t have time to get into it here on this post, but you should know that brimstone is associated with the purifying aspect of God’s fires. It is God’s will that all men be sanctified and in the end all will as each in the appointed time comes to believe this gospel and is cleansed of their impurities by the hands of God.
Colossians 2:11 In Him you were also circumcised with the circumcision made without hands, by putting off the body of the sins of the flesh, by the circumcision of Christ
See this, no hands. Getting free of sin is a matter of true faith not your good works. The sooner you begin to believe in all that God said and surrender your self will to the Lord, then with you out of the way, His fires will burn out all the dross from you. This is the gold Jesus encouraged us to buy from Him. In the meantime, the smoke of the torment will continue to rise out of this bottomless pit and one shall look for everlasting peace but will not find it. The fire are truly unquenchable by man but they will ultimately achieve all of their intended purposes, which is all for good and the glory of God. All shall be done in the appointed time.
I have come to know the origins of this peace as a mere baby. It certainly did not come from me or any of my filthy rags works. It came from God and it is the only way to put on the divine nature that can be found ONLY in Christ.
2 Peter 1 – Grace and peace be multiplied to you in the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord, 3 as His divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him who called us by glory and virtue, 4 by which have been given to us exceedingly great and precious promises, that through these you may be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.
Peter and the disciples had been SALTED WITH THIS FIRE. That is how they came to be partakers of the divine nature and power of God. It is only thru this fire (the tribulations in our hearts) that all shall enter the kingdom of God. Few shall find it on this side of the grave but all will find it in the end. God’s fire will accomplish all of its purposes. The few chosen of God are this salt. We have our marching orders from the Lord to preach this gospel and to live it.
Matthew 5:13-17 “You are the salt of the earth; but if the salt loses its flavor, how shall it be seasoned? It is then good for nothing but to be thrown out and trampled underfoot by men.
14 “You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden. 15 Nor do they light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house. 16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.
When the chosen compromise with the world and seek the approval of man they will lose their saltiness. I know this truth now spoken on this web site will light a fire in the hearts of the people and God will work the increase in His appointed time for His glory alone.
Jesus came to save the lost of the whole world. He finished the way 2,000 years ago and has already guaranteed the victory to the glory of the Father. The final enemies of God are hell and death and both of these will be consumed in God’s fire. When something is consumed it disappears and ceases to exist. Hallelujah, death shall be no more!! The result of this is that all things will be restored to a pure, divine nature which defines the awesome God that I now serve. I cannot wait.
1 COR 15:54-57
“Death is swallowed up in victory.”
55 “O Death, where is your sting?
O Hades, where is your victory?”
56 The sting of death is sin, and the strength of sin is the law. 57 But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.
Thank you Jesus for kindling your fire on this earth. Thank you Lord. All things that are converted and made pure and holy shall enter into the gates of New Jerusalem.
Revelation 21:22-25 But I saw no temple in it, for the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are its temple. 23 The city had no need of the sun or of the moon to shine in it, for the glory of God illuminated it. The Lamb is its light. 24 And the nations of those who are saved shall walk in its light, and the kings of the earth bring their glory and honor into it 25 Its gates shall not be shut at all by day
Isaiah 60:11 Therefore your gates shall be open continually; they shall not be shut day or night, That men may bring to you the wealth of the Gentiles
The gates always stay open. They shall never be shut so that all the hearts of men shall be brought back to the sheep pen in due time. This my friends is the gospel. Believe it.
All things shall be made pure. When we all see Jesus we shall all be like Him. We shall all see Him according to the plan that God has ordained and spoke since before the world began. I leave you with a Psalm excerpt that sums up the purposes of God’s fires.
Psalm 11:5-7 The Lord tests the righteous,
but the wicked and the one who loves violence His soul hates.
6 Upon the wicked He will rain coals;
Fire and brimstone and a burning wind
shall be the portion of their cup.
7 For the Lord is righteous,
He loves righteousness;
His countenance beholds the upright
God loves righteousness. God will turn His enemies into His freinds. He is going to make everything and everyone righteous in the end. His power and His glory truly know no limits. False teachers will continue to deny the power of God and speak evil of the truth I now share with you. May those who have ears, hear this word.
