Gog the Invaders from the North
My purpose with this post is to look at the Gog Magog Prophecy with spiritual eyes and convey an understanding of who is attacking and being attacked and what this is really speaking about. The conventional wisdom is wrong and while I don’t profess to have it all figured out, what I will share aligns with the spiritual interpretations of the end time signs that have been the focus of prior posts.
Who is it that will attack Israel from the North? The answer may be “none of the above” from the list of suspected modern nations. It is my understanding that both the attackers and subject of the attack (Israel) have been misidentified by man’s religion. This is all part of the deception that comes to deceive the entire world leading up to the return of Jesus.
Ezekiel 38:14 “Therefore, son of man, prophesy and say to Gog: ‘This is what the Sovereign LORD says: In that day, when my people Israel are living in safety, will you not take notice of it? 15 You will come from your place in the FAR NORTH, you and many nations with you, all of them riding on horses, a great horde, a mighty army. 16 You will advance against my people Israel like a cloud that covers the land. In days to come, O Gog, I will bring you against my land, so that the nations may know me when I show myself holy through you before their eyes.
This prophecy spoken about the ISRAEL OF GOD is well along the path of fulfillment. A lot of people are looking to the current events in the middle east and see this prophecy being fulfilled or seemingly on its way to fulfillment. Many believe the nation we call Israel today, established in 1948 by the rule of men will soon be attacked from the north by a coalition of countries — presumably Iran, Russia, China with some combination of Islamic nations. While current events logically seem to fit this interpretation of the Gog Magog event, I believe there may be a totally different fulfillment. Doesn’t Ezekiel’s prophecy describes the same one John wrote about in the book of Revelation?
Revelation 20:7-9 When the thousand years are over, Satan will be released from his prison and will go out to deceive the nations in the four corners of the earth—Gog and Magog—to gather them for battle. In number they are like the sand on the seashore. 9They marched across the breadth of the earth and surrounded the camp of God’s people, the city he loves.
God’s people is the true Israel of God. The City God loves is Spiritual Jerusalem. Satan has gathered a massive army to come against the TRUTH. This speaks to the same army, riding the same horses (walking in the flesh) spoken of by the Prophet Habakkuk. God told us we would not believe what He does in the end times even if someone told us.
Hab 1:5 Look among the nations! Observe! Be astonished! Wonder! Because I am doing something in your days– You would not believe if you were told.
But now as we near the very end, the Lord is connecting the dots and revealing His prophecies. God always tells His saints and prophets what He is going to do before He actually does it. I pray many more wake up to the attack coming from the North. Habakkuk continues the Word of the Lord that speaks to the army sent out to attack.
Their horses are swifter than leopards
And keener than wolves in the evening
Their horsemen come galloping,
Their horsemen come from afar;
They fly like an eagle swooping down to devour.
“All of them come for violence.
Their horde of faces moves forward.
They collect captives like sand.
Many Christians are captives and in bondage to sin and the powers of darkness. This is the horde of followers (gathered like sand) that we also see defined in Ezekiel’s Gog prophecy. Many apostate Christians profess a belief in Jesus yet they are not really free. They are not following the Lord but instead have followed after the many liars that have come in the name of the Lord. The church is under major league attack right now. Spiritual Israel is already surrounded. These invaders have come from the north and you will soon see the significance of that direction. The true Israel of God is a spiritual body that has nothing to do with the Middle East. Jesus spoke of this prophecy also when speaking to the disciples about the sign of the end.
Luke 21:20-21 When you see Jerusalem being surrounded by armies, you will know that its desolation is near. 21Then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains, let those in the city get out, and let those in the country not enter the city. 22For this is the time of punishment in fulfillment of all that has been written.
These attacking armies refer to spiritual battles not physical armies and bombs. The modern church has completely cut out of their bibles the powers of darkness and have totally forgotten we are in a real spiritual war. We either put on the weapons of Christ and fight or we are overcome by the adversaries. Most Christians and pastors have ignored this war or teach us to fight in the flesh, which in either case is a losing proposition.
Whether or not physical armies from the north, the nations of Iran, Turkey or even Russia will ultimately surround the present day flesh city of Jerusalem, I do not know. Most scholars see it that way so I admit my “spiritual” view is far from the mainstream. Every time something happens in the Middle East; multitudes gravitate to the natural interpretations of this Ezekiel 38 prophecy. You can logically rationalize this if you extrapolate out the events of today. But are these natural events the true sign or are they a distraction to the real spiritual truth?
There very well could be some parallel signs in the natural and spiritual yet I see these natural signs and world events as part of the enemy deception that deceives the whole world and keeps people sleeping and stumbling in spiritual drunkenness. If we misinterpret who the Israel of God really is, we will get the end time signs totally wrong. I see misidentification of Israel and ignorance to the powers of darkness leading to spiritual blindness. These errors are necessary to pull off the deception that ensnares the whole world. We need to be ready right now for the return of the Lord. Don’t wait or assume we will have the opportunity to read a news story about something happening in the natural and then get ready. The wisdom of men is foolishness to God and Jesus told us He would come suddenly, like a thief and virtually everyone would be fast asleep except those that were sober and alert.
The Attackers From the Northland
I am going to take a quick diversion and explore a repeated type and allegory for the powers of darkness in the Scriptures. Understanding this allegory will set a foundation to understand Ezekiel 38 but will also open up revelation throughout the prophetic books. No nation is going to attack anyone riding horses in this era. If you want to see what references to “horses” refer to please watch my video Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse, but know this for now – it means people walking in the flesh. But let me take you aside and show you what the NORTH is all about. It is not about points on a map or a compass. You really need to see this truth about the NORTH and it was not covered in prior videos or posts.
All true Born Again Christians have been delivered from the hands of the enemy. Jesus delivers us from our previous captors and brings us out of the land of the north. We possess the spiritual land promised to Abraham when we come out of Egypt (the world), come thru the wilderness (trials and temptations) and cross the river (the enemy) and enter and possess the land.
Jeremiah 23:7-8 So then, the days are coming,” declares the LORD, “when people will no longer say, ‘As surely as the LORD lives, who brought the Israelites up out of Egypt,’ 8 but they will say, ‘As surely as the LORD lives, who brought the descendants of Israel up out of the land of the north and out of all the countries where he had banished them.’ Then they will live in their own land.”
Once you see the powers of darkness in the Scriptures, you will begin to see that they always come from the NORTH. The truth of scriptures and the prophets is hidden in parables and allegories. God reveals this to us in His perfect will and in His timing. I never saw it until God showed me who the lions were and then other references and allegories began to show up in a consistent unbroken pattern. Scales have fallen off my eyes in ways I cannot even explain to any man. The consistency about the North is amazing which confirms to me the revelation God intended. Let’s look at some prophetic passages about judgment.
Jeremiah 6:21-23 Therefore, thus says the LORD, ”Behold, I am laying stumbling blocks before this people and they will stumble against them, Fathers and sons together; neighbor and friend will perish.” 22Thus says the LORD, ”Behold, a people is coming from the north land, and a great nation will be aroused from the remote parts of the earth. 23“They seize bow and spear; They are cruel and have no mercy; Their voice roars like the sea, and they ride on horses, arrayed as a man for the battle. Against you, O daughter of Zion!”
This passage is clearly speaking about the powers of darkness coming against the daughter of Zion. We are the daughter of Zion which is the The True Israel of God and is comprised up all who belong to Jesus having been re-birthed as a new creation in Christ. The enemy is the testers of faith and God’s instruments of judgment on the earth. We must overcome them to finish our race but need to know they are sent by God. If you don’t understand this you do not yet have spiritual eyes to see the powers of darkness. It is widely believed that God was speaking about Satan and his fall from grace in Isaiah 14. Guess where Satan sits? In the North.
Isaiah 14:13 But you said in your heart, ’I will ascend to heaven; I will raise my throne above the stars of God, and I will sit on the mount of assembly in the recesses of the north.
Ezekiel 26:7 For thus says the Lord GOD, “Behold, I will bring upon Tyre from the north Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon, king of kings, with horses, chariots, cavalry and a great army.
Here above we see King Nebuchadnezzar portrayed again as a type/metaphor for Satan. He represents a false jesus, the little “k” kings of kings, the prince and ruler of this world, but he is not the true God. He comes from the North and rides horses (works thru the flesh of men) and brings a great army (lots of demons) with him.
Joel 2:20 But I will remove the northern army far from you, and I will drive it into a parched and desolate land, and its vanguard into the eastern sea, and its rear guard into the western sea and its stench will arise and its foul smell will come up, for it has done great things.”
When we are delivered by Jesus, this northern army is taken far from us. In commissioning the young Prophet Jeremiah, God sets the foundation of what Jeremiah was being sent out to oppose.
Jeremiah 1:14-15 Then the LORD said to me, “Out of the NORTH the evil will break forth on all the inhabitants of the land For, behold, I am calling all the families of the kingdoms of the north,” declares the LORD; “and they will come and they will set each one his throne at the entrance of the gates of Jerusalem, and against all its walls round about and against all the cities of Judah
The powers of darkness are made up of many kingdoms and families. God sends them to test hearts and bring judgment for sin and defilement of His temple.
Jeremiah 4:6 Raise the signal to go to Zion! Flee for safety without delay! For I am bringing disaster from the NORTH, even terrible destruction.”
There are trumpets blowing in Zion today. We need to wake up, the disaster and final judgment begins with the house of God.
Jeremiah 10:22 The sound of a report! Behold, it comes, a great commotion out of the land of the north to make the cities of Judah a desolation, a haunt of jackals.
The abomination that causes desolation is already here. Very few actually see it but more are being awakened. Babylon is a dwelling place of demons and a haunt for every unclean spirit including jackals and many other “beasts”.
Jeremiah 50:9 For behold, I am going to arouse and bring up against Babylon
A horde of great nations from the land of the north,
Babylon is the fallen away church of the end. This is the exultant city that worships the image of the beast and lives with a false security telling the people “peace & safety”, when suddenly destruction will break forth. Babylon is already captured my friends and now itself is attacking the true church of Jesus Christ.
Jeremiah 51:48 Then heaven and earth and all that is in them will shout for joy over Babylon,
for the destroyers will come to her from the north,” Declares the LORD.
This is the roar of the lions referenced in Psalm 74 and numerous other places when they conquer their prey. Fallen Christians are the bounty, the plunderers are roaring in Babylon already.
Ezekiel 1:4 As I looked, behold, a storm wind was coming from the north, a great cloud with fire flashing forth continually and a bright light around it, and in its midst something like glowing metal in the midst of the fire.
I recently wrote about these whirlwinds that bring the judgment of God. Notice they too come from the north beginning by darkening the light of the true gospel.
Zechariah 6:8 Then He cried out to me and spoke to me saying, “See, those who are going to the land of the north have appeased My wrath in the land of the north.” This verse never made any sense to me until I realized the powers of darkness work for and serve God and His righteous purposes. When we practice sin, we are captive to the enemy and spiritually speaking are taken to the north where we are exiled from God. These dark horses bring the discipline and judgment of God when we sin and that is what is meant by appeasing His wrath.
Jesus came to set the captives free and protect us from this northern enemy. We must stand on the Rock Eternal and act upon the grace of God that has appeared to all men. With this baseline, there may just be a different interpretation of the Gog Magog prophecy.
Interpreting the Gog Prophecy
Knowing who the attackers from the “north” are, let’s go look into the Gog Magog prophecy. I see the Book of Revelation as simply giving a lot more detail to what Ezekiel wrote about hundreds of years before Jesus came in the flesh as our Messiah.
Ezekiel 38:7-9 ‘Get ready; be prepared, you and all the hordes gathered about you, and take command of them. 8 After many days you will be called to arms. In future years you will invade a land that has recovered from war, whose people were gathered from many nations to the mountains of Israel, which had long been desolate. They had been brought out from the nations, and now all of them live in safety. 9 You and all your troops and the many nations with you will go up, advancing like a storm; you will be like a cloud covering the land.
Satan and the demons are NOT operating outside of the control of God. Here you see God speaking to “them” as He gives this prophecy to Ezekiel. The hordes are the people they deceive, the fallen apostate church that gathers around the false prophets and antichrist’s. The enemy has taken command of Babylon, it is indeed a dwelling place of demons and those in Babylon are worshipping the image of a false Jesus — the image of the beast.
Most people cannot fathom the fact that God created the enemy and uses the enemy to accomplish His purposes and will. On the surface this seems like an oxymoron, that God would send an enemy to attack His very own Israel. But God is God, His ways are not our ways and if you read the whole prophecy you see why God does it. It is to bring contrast and reveal and distinguish the glory and holiness of God Almighty.
Ezekiel 38:23 And so I will show my greatness and my holiness, and I will make myself known in the sight of many nations. Then they will know that I am the LORD
My synopsis of what the Gog prophecy foretells is as follows: Satan will deceive the world and exalt himself as God and gather in hordes of followers. The true remnant that is saved will become increasingly isolated and attacked and persecuted by the religious mainstream that worships the beast. God of course protects His True Israel and in the end (Ezekiel 39, Rev 19:17) the fallen church, the fakes, the tares become the sacrifice of the Lord at a great supper. This supper is also known as the feast of demons and is the wrong feast to be attending. You want to be at the marriage supper of the lamb. Do not be deceived. I can’t possibly cover all of this and show the direct linkages to Revelation in this one post, but I hope to finish a video on this topic in the near future.
I encourage you to go reread Ezekiel 38-39 with the understanding of who Israel refers to and who the invaders from the North represent. I suspect you may see a different truth than what most have been taught or continue to hear preached and commented on everytime something happens in the Middle East. Let’s finish this post by looking at some key descriptors of the Ezekiel prophecy. In my view, they line up perfectly with the spiritual interpretation of the end time signs and the truth about the powers of darkness and the true Israel.
1. Enemy Comes like a storm and cloud covering the land - This is what the powers of darkness do, they bring religious deception that blots out the true gospel from the land. Locust bring darkness like a cloud also and result in famine of the Word. Gog is the storm and the whirlwinds and tempests of God. The result is the sun is darkened (no true gospel) and the moon (the church) no longer will sheds its light as spoken of by Jesus in Matthew 24, Joel and John in the Book of Revelation.
Ezekiel 38:9 You will go up, you will come like a storm; you will be like a cloud covering the land, you and all your troops, and many people’s (Babylon) with you.”
2. Israel is restored from the sword - To become a child of God we must be born of the seed of Isaac and Jacob. We must be born again. This means we are set free from the powers of darkness and sin in our lives. The powers of darkness bring the sword which are the curses that follow man’s failure to keep covenant. You can see this clearly in Deuteronomy 28-29. We all are under the sword until we come to Christ and walk in new covenant with Him. That is how we are restored to right standing with God.
3. Inhabitants gathered from many nations – People are readily deceived by the fact that modern-day Israel is composed of inhabitants that emigrated from many flesh nations. But that is not who God’s Israel is as has been shown in the referenced posts. God gathers His children on a spiritual Mt. Zion that is the destination of the highway to holiness. So yes, Spiritual Israel has been gathered from many nations, we have been set free from the plunderers who reside in the north lands.
Ezekiel 38:4 I will turn you around, put hooks in your jaws and bring you out with your whole army—your horses, your horsemen fully armed, and a great horde with large and small shields, all of them brandishing their swords. 5 Persia, Cush and Put will be with them, all with shields and helmets, 6 also Gomer with all its troops, and Beth Togarmah from the far north with all its troops—the many nations with you.
4. Living securely in the mountains of Israel – The modern-day nation of Israel is not living securely so this should be a red flag that Israel is not Israel.
Ezekiel 38:8 They had been brought out from the nations, and now ALL of them live in safety.
The only group of people I believe that are living in real safety are those in Christ Jesus. If you are not in Christ (the ARK) you are not safe. Everything else and all those in Babylon live with a false security and a false peace and suddently destruction will come upon them. The modern-day nation of Israel is certainly not living in peace and safety today in the natural world and all but a relatively few that live there still deny Jesus Christ.
5. Living without walls and gates - The True Israel of God relies on God for their protection and they possess a peace that transcends all understanding. They fear only God and trust not in men or the works of their flesh. Speaking about the mind of the enemy, here is what evil says to itself.
Ezekiel 38:11 You will say, “I will invade a land of unwalled villages; I will attack a peaceful and unsuspecting people—all of them living without walls and without gates
The enemy is called the enemy for good reason. He attacks the true Israel of God that lives in safety and in peace.
6. Gog comes to plunder - I have written on this before, but the plunder is our souls and the powers of darkness are the plunderers (Jeremiah 12:12). Speaking about GOG, the question is asked….
Ezekiel 38:13 “Have you come to plunder? Have you gathered your hordes to loot, to carry off silver and gold, to take away livestock and goods and to seize much plunder?”
Just like the Babylonian and Assyrian attacks on the first Israel, the enemy carried away the goods and valuables into exile into the lands of the north. That is still the enemies goal, to kill, steal and destroy.
7. When GOG attacks, spiritual earthquakes and the flood follow – Through much tribulation we shall endure and enter the Kingdom (Acts 14:22) . The true children of God will be protected and will endure to the very end and will not be shaken off the Rock or swept away by the flood of deception that results from Gog’s attack. Sadly many will be lost especially if they remain ignorant of the devil’s schemes any longer.
Ezekiel 38:17 – When Gog attacks the land of Israel, my hot anger will be aroused, declares the Sovereign LORD. 19 In my zeal and fiery wrath I declare that at that time there shall be a great earthquake in the land of Israel. 20 The fish of the sea, the birds of the air, the beasts of the field, every creature that moves along the ground, and all the people on the face of the earth will tremble at my presence. The mountains will be overturned, the cliffs will crumble and every wall will fall to the ground. 21 I will summon a sword against Gog on all my mountains, declares the Sovereign LORD. Every man’s sword will be against his brother. 22 I will execute judgment upon him with plague and bloodshed; I will pour down torrents of rain, hailstones and burning sulfur on him and on his troops
The God Sent Destroyers are Destroyed
Praise God. In the end justice and righteousness will prevail. The LORD turns against GOG and destroys the very destroyers He creates and sends to attack. Their weapons are taken away and the troops (the wicked and fallen Christians) are sent off to a great supper.
Ezekiel 39:2 – I am against you, O Gog, chief prince of Meshech and Tubal. 2 I will turn you around and drag you along. I will bring you from the far north and send you against the mountains of Israel. 3 Then I will strike your bow from your left hand and make your arrows drop from your right hand. 4 On the mountains of Israel you will fall, you and all your troops and the nations with you. I will give you as food to all kinds of carrion birds and to the wild animals.
Ezekiel spoke of the feast of demons, where the spiritual dead are taken as a sacrifice. This feast is spiritual in nature so don’t think about this in the natural.
Ezekiel 39:17 - Son of man, this is what the Sovereign LORD says: Call out to every kind of bird and all the wild animals: ‘Assemble and come together from all around to the sacrifice I am preparing for you, the great sacrifice on the mountains of Israel. There you will eat flesh and drink blood. 18 You will eat the flesh of mighty men and drink the blood of the princes of the earth as if they were rams and lambs, goats and bulls—all of them fattened animals from Bashan. 19 At the sacrifice I am preparing for you, you will eat fat till you are glutted and drink blood till you are drunk. 20 At my table you will eat your fill of horses and riders, mighty men and soldiers of every kind,’ declares the Sovereign LORD.
The fallen church of Babylon and all of its partakers are swept away by the flood of deception. They are deceived into taking the mark of the beast and worshipping the image of the beast. GOG and its horde of followers are given over to the birds of heaven which are also known as vultures.
Luke 17:34 – I tell you, on that night two people will be in one bed; one will be taken and the other left. 35Two women will be grinding grain together; one will be taken and the other left.” ”Where, Lord?” they asked. He replied, “Where there is a dead body, there the vultures will gather.”
This verse from Luke was Jesus speaking to the disciples and answering their question of where the wicked would be taken. Part of these verses are typically used to sell a pre trib rapture but the exact opposite is what actually happens. The spiritually dead (i.e. the wicked) are taken to be feasted upon by demons. The same scenario is shown to us in the Book of Revelation.
Revelation 19:17 – And I saw an angel standing in the sun, who cried in a loud voice to all the birds flying in midair, “Come, gather together for the great supper of God, 18so that you may eat the flesh of kings, generals, and mighty men, of horses and their riders, and the flesh of all people, free and slave, small and great.”
These are tough teachings. They don’t go very well with the cotton candy gospel peddled in most churches today so they are never part of any mainstream teaching. These prophecies correctly interpreted do not tickle ears. They are given to us to remind us of the call to holiness and to keep the fear of the Lord front and center in our walk of faith.
The invading army will shake many out of their faith and expose the tares. The wheat and the chaff must be separated. The goats and the sheep will be distinct from each other when the Lord returns. It is already beginning to happen. Yet God is faithful and His true church will be protected and so long as they trust in God will be spared the wrath that is to come. The true children of God have been delivered out of the hands of the people from the north. We have been set free in Jesus and our possessing the spiritual land of milk and honey right here and right now.

Ro. 12:3 For by the grace given me I say to every one of you: Do not think of yourself more highly than you ought, but rather think of yourself with sober judgment, in accordance with the measure of faith God has given you.
We have to take this to our heart, not to think we are better or wiser that anybody else here.
Randall – I see your heart for the truth which is the Lord Jesus Christ.
You speak of going through scripture and asking the Lord Jesus to reveal His truth, His interpretation, through His indwelling Holy Spirit – I commend you for that. If we all did the same there would truly be no division, no discord.

Yes indeed – our main focus must be the person of the Lord Jesus Himself, recognising that He is the Christ, the Messiah of God, and is God.
The things that Almighty God has spoken, have been recorded – and these things will be fulfilled.

Hello everyone. I had to take some time off. Just reading the new posts, i have heaviness. And i am not alone on this. Let us all start anew. I have a wonderful idea that should bring edification to one another back. Lets everyone talk about their own personal testimony in Christ. Lets talk about how we can bring other lost sheep to the group. I got wore out just reading all the wisdom learned in books that did not neceassarily come from the bible, but rather what some man may have learned, or thought up. Too many explanations, too many this word means and that word means. Too many numerals 10 to the 9 power equals Isreal lost out etc. Lets leave every thing at the back door. Lets start afresh. Pete you can start handing out reading assignments. Give us questions about what we read. Teach it from the new testament first. The gospels. We can start in mathew, no need to talk about genaologies. Lets focus on what Christ said. Then see how we can encourage one another on how to apply this to our lives. we can prompt one another in good works, being zealous for the things of God. We can encourage new believers to come to the site. Put them only, only on posts of grace. Not prophetic. Teach them the actual grace of God. What it means to be a christian, how to live and walk as christ. How to encourage one another to evangelize. The devil is having a field day. Souls every day are being lost. Go to the store, and look around, look at places of business. Watch people. Cause the sad fact is many are going to hell, and what are we all doing about it? This is to all of us, myself included. We are focusing on meats, not too much on grace. It should be the other way around. We should have our hearts established in grace, not on meats, which have not profited them that are therin. I think we have all been guilty. I praise God for working on my heart.
I would bring many to this site, if we would focus on reading the bible, etc. Now i aint condemning any of us. Pete many of your blogs and posts are so loaded with truth and grace it would make a lame man jump. Some go way beyond into other realms. Which again i aint even condeming, or judging. What better way to teach, than to disregard all this formula stuff, striges of meanings of words etc. And just teach verse by verse again the word of God. And we move as one body. We wait upon the slowest. The bible is awesome . I read it hours dailey.

Get them engrained in our heart. If we focus on the pure words of CHrist and just applying it to our lives and loving one another we shall endure unto the end. if any of us have weakness, best thing is to confess them. Theology wont get you through the gates. There are a lot of Pastors, Drs., Priest, etc. that have a lot of unlearning to do. Sorry Sandra, I reread your comment and we do agree. I guess in my haste I skimmed the comment and took the “Israel lost their shot” quip as your supporting the idea of replacement theology. This argument gets into quibling over minute details but we see it the same so my apologies for my prior comment as we are agreed but even if we are not on this, it should not separate the people of God. We all are learning and continue to learn many things as the Spirit moves on each of us and I would remind everyone here to think back on how far they have come and their understanding has increased. The whole lot of us was sleeping says the parable of the 10 virgins. So none of us have anything to boast about and the praise and honor for our awakening and the light we have been shown belongs to the giver of the light, who is the light Himself and that is Jesus.
Pete: It’s ok if you disagree. I read over my post, and I can’t see where I implied that (flesh) Israel was ever God’s Israel. Would you show me where I might have misleadingly said this. Being a Jew in flesh, does not mean that you are counted as God’s Israel. We are “spiritual” Israel via circumcision of the heart. I was not trying to say that Israel had been replaced. The gospel went first to the Jews, and then to the Gentiles. Maybe I need to do some more studying on this subject. I do know that true Israel comes from the “promise”, not the flesh. Thanks Sandra, I would just disagree slightly on your comment. The flesh Israel was NEVER God’s Israel. God was trying to call out and purify for Himself His people and while He started with the Jews, being Jewish never meant they were God’s Israel. This is where this argument of replacement theology comes from but what I have come to see is not that Israel was replaced but that we were never taught correctly who was Israel. Jesus speaking to the Jews says they were NOT Abraham’s children but they were of their father the devil. Abraham’s children are spiritual children born of the promise (not the flesh) so the religious scholars do not see this and discern with natural wisdom and are missing the spiritual meaning of the covenant that was given to Abraham, the father of all faith and the origins of all who would become God’s TRUE ISRAEL. As we have discussed on the Sabbath issues, the sign of God’s people was the covenant of circumcision and we know that is of the heart, in the spiritual, those Born Again by the election and power of God working inside of them. Praise the LORD. His WORD is true and all HIS promises He made to His people Israel will be fulfilled, every single on of them. We must know who Israel is and most remain deceived by the traditions of men that were already in the church 2000 years ago. Paul prayed and hoped he could save some of his Jewish brethren but knew that not all Israel is Israel, the riddle and spiritual meanings of all this have been missed by the multitudes that remain in darkness over this point. Like all this doctrine, none of it is a salvation issue per se as I am sure many have gone to the grave thinking the nation over there is God’s Israel yet they lived a life of holiness submitted unto the Lord and we will see them in the Kingdom. I used to think it was replaced but further revelation has made clear God’s intentions never changed and Bill was very helpful in confirming this in some of the work he has done on the watchmen site and thru commentary here.
Roger I might add also that Isarel has nothing to do with physical land or flesh as Pete stated as well. It is not based upon a race of people. Beside that they have all mixed in with the flesh of all the other races of Shem Ham and Japeth. I seriously doubt that anyone is more than 25% Jewish at the most. After all their beginning was with Judah the 4th son of Jacob 3800 years ago. Abraham himself was not even a Jew. The flesh is all deception smoke and mirrors. Pete: AMEN, Jesus is what should be our focus, not all this stuff about who is right, or wrong. There is one “true” Israel, and one “true” church, and one “true” KING. We are the church of promise thru (Isaac). Israel did not accept Jesus at His first advent, even knowing what the prophets said about His arrival. They expected Him to come in glory, and not as a humble carpenters son. When Jesus was brought before the temple priest, Zera, the head scribe asked, “do you intend to destroy this temple”? Jesus replied, “This temple can’t be destroyed as long as God lives here”. Then Jesus told Zera, “destroy this temple, and I will rebuild it in 3 days”. He was not talking about a physical temple, although that is what the priest thought he meant. We are the temple of Christ. When Jesus turned the tables of the money changers, He told them they were a brood of vipers, that they had made the temple the home of the lizard, and the spider, and that they would strain at a gnat, and swallow a camel. Then as He was being chased from the temple He turned and said, “you shall not see me here again, until you are willing to admit that, I, and my Father are one in the same”. Israel lost their shot, because they didn’t believe, so the Israel that is spoken of is “spiritual” Israel, not the country. I am sure that there are some Jewish people that believe in Jesus, but most still adhere to the “Abrahamic”, and “Mosaic” law. Some do not believe that Jesus has even been here. It is just like today, they had their mind set on how the Messiah was to come, and their zeal would not let them see it any other way. Pete is right, the promise has moved from literal Israel to spiritual Israel, and those that have planted the good seed in the soil of their heart are now “spiritual Israel”. Jesus will come one day soon, and this is all we need to be focused on. If we are of the body of Christ, then we are reigning with Him now in the spiritual, and when He comes we will be with Him in the physical, whether it is in a literal millenium, or not, this is not what is important. What is important is, that we keep our hearts pure, and our mind on Him, and His return. It is the church of Jesus Christ AKA ” my church” which is built upon “this rock” meaning revelation of truth revealed only through the Holy Spirit. (Matthew 16:18). There is never one other reference to a church belonging to anyone else. there is no “our church”, “we church”, my. as in “mans church” ever once spoken of in the scriptures. But it does talk about it in gen 11– Let “US”, build “US”, a tower that reaches into heaven, so then “WE” will not be scattered (their biggest fear is to be scattered) so they group together i broken cisterns having itching ears seeking peace and safety and the security against being scattered. The goal is to build the tower, then their is no other vain option other than climb back into heaven like a thief and a robber. This is the opposite approach than what is spoken of in Gen 3-22. Also spoken of by Jesus in John 10:1 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that entereth not by the door into the sheepfold, but climbeth up some other way, the same is a thief and a robber
The only true construct that was established for the salvation of His people has always been Israel, now is Israel, always gonna be Israel. Israel was saved , is saved, and always was saved. The Lamb that was slain from the foundation of the world. Thou wast, thou art, and thou art to come.

The teachings Tertullian and the others are not according to the teachings of the Lord and the apostles which is sanctifying and building-up with faith. Their teachings are based on the human wisdom, they didn’t reached the truth.
Our salvation is not base on who has the right interpretation as one of the brother mentioned earlier. It is keeping ourselves holy and blameless until the coming of our saviour Jesus Christ.

Roger. I am not well studied on these big words that come from outside of Scripture to describes the beliefs of various camps of Christians. I see very clearly that God’s Israel was never the Jewish people per se as the promise made to Abraham was about all nations and God’s people were always children born of the promise (the spiritual seed of Isaac). So the promised land was not even a piece of dirt, Abraham was looking for the spiritual city we see in Hebrews. I have a post on the header called True Israel that contains my view. Nothing was replaced, there has always been ONE ISRAEL and one church. We love our neighbors when we tell them truth and that being a Jewish descendent in the flesh means nothing to God. Jesus spoke with them and called them children of the devil. Unless one is Born Again of the seed of Isaac they are not the Israel of God. All the promises made to Israel were not made to Jewish Israel but have been made to Spiritual Israel. So yes that is what I believe and promote because I see it so clearly in the entire book starting in Genesis. I believe not seeing this will keep one from understanding the end time prophecies as they will be looking at the flesh Israel. There are two covenants and two women and two Israel’s as we can see in Galatians 4. I have allowed dissent on this topic. I tire of old arguments like who is Israel and at some point I need to move on as whether I am right or wrong is not a criteria for heaven. Our focus needs to be on Him and doing the Father’s business and walking the narrow path with a pure heart, loving our neighbors.

Interestingly Bill – I understand that Augustine, (who was an amillenialist) believed in a literal 1,000 year period between Christ’s death and His second coming – it was only after His non-return in 1,000 AD that amillenialists changed literal millenium to spiritual period of time.
I also understand that Justin Martyr (d.165AD), Papias (b.60AD, d.130AD), Tertullian (d.220AD) to name but 3, believed in a literal 1,000 year reign of the Lord Jesus on earth.
Papias is believed to have been taught by John the Apostle. Irenaeus and Eusebius, two other Church leaders, referred to his (Papias) writings when stating their belief in a literal 1,000 year reign of the Lord Jesus Christ, following the first resurrection, as spoken of in Rev.20.
So, in my understanding we have the spiritual reign of the Lord Jesus Christ now, and a future physical reign.
But then by me stating my understanding of both a spiritual and physical reign here, I realise that I may be causing upset if this is a site that supports only the amillenialist viewpoint..?

Bill – Rather than post twice, I would also like to refer here to your comment below on your study of Israel, where you declare, and have agreement from Jim, that the ‘church’ is true Israel – my understanding of Scripture is that although spiritually the gentile believers (the church) are grafted into the vine, we have not replaced Israel. Scripture does show that God will still have dealings with Israel in the future ‘Day of the Lord’, the ‘Wrath of God’ – which in my understanding is at the end of the tribulation period.
To state that the church has replaced Israel, is in my opion to have a doctrine of ‘replacement theology’..
So, maybe this site supports that belief too, that the Church has replaced Israel..?

Yes, indeed we are the true “Israel”, “called out” and chosen by God from the foundations of the world (Ephesians 4:1-5). We are called out to represent (living the way HE had lived) Him while here on earth.

We are agreed that ‘millenial doctrine’ is not a salvation issue – there is much in your replies to both Randall and I that speak the foundational truths which are Christ Jesus our Lord and saviour, and yes indeed we must focus on those non-negotiable truths.
I have been in the place where I followed man’s teachings, since then the Lord Jesus has shown me, through His indwelling Spirit, that much of these were misunderstandings and misinterpretations of His truths as written in Scripture. He has shown me that He is The Word, and what He has spoken will be fulfilled.
I will say that He has brought me from a place of only spiritualising future events, to a place where He has shown me there will be both spiritual and physical fulfillment – part of that physical fulfillment is being played out in events around the nation of Israel at this present time, with the possibility of Isaiah 17, the destruction of Damascus, in the near future.
Having said that, like you, I do not claim to have the revelation of all truth. I am at the place where I understand that where there continues to be a disagreement in these future events, it is because they have not yet been completely revealed to man by the Lord Jesus.
I know of others, like Randall, who have not come under man’s teaching, they have been purely taught by Almighty God through His Holy Spirit. I have learnt that we should listen carefully to these ones – they are not tainted by man’s intellectual knowledge and reasoning, they are led by, and hear the voice of, Christ Jesus through His Holy Spirit.
Which is not to say that we take all that any man says as ALL truth – we are to be as Bereans, and check with our Lord Jesus, (and written scripture), who is The Word, and only head of His body, His Ekklesia.
We who are spiritualy born again believers in the Lord Jesus as the Christ and as God, are members of His body, His ekklesia – we are a part of His future bride, as are all other members of His body through the ages.
As members of His body, we are all gifted in different ways, we are all unique beings, yet all created by Him. We are intended to ‘fit’ together as parts of His body, and to share and learn with and from each other. In this way we will be truly united as one body, in one Spirit, in the Lord Jesus Christ.
Almighty God desires this of us, Jesus prayed this for us (John 17), we who are in Christ Jesus have been given the Holy Spirit to indwell us, to counsel, to guide, to comfort, to speak Jesus words of truth, and to continually point us back to Him as Lord and God. Through His Spirit, Christ Jesus and His Father also indwell (John 14), yet because of His omnipresence, God the Father sits in Heaven with Jesus at His right hand.. Yes, He spiritually rules and reigns now, as He always has done, and I believe He will physically rule and reign too.
I came here not to cause discension, or to cause division – I was led here by God, to share and learn.

Randall, We don’t have to agree on everything just that Jesus is the LORD and we are saved by faith, understanding what real faith truly is and how that is made manifest in our lives and behavior. We all should continue to pray for wisdom per James 1:5. My only rule is that I don’t allow wolves to post here. Wolves have fangs, true sheep do not. So we can always disagree on many points but will not on the essential oracles of God. Admittedly prophetic scripture is complex and I believe God only opens it up to us as we prove we can handle it and as HE calls us for ministry. I know I have run ahead of the Lord at times and said things based on my own understanding that had not been confirmed in my heart. Another reason why Jesus is the one true source.
We all may not get the same part of the loaf of the bread of life and at the same time. I am happy you are speaking your mind and heart on what you see, that is what edifying each other is all about. I would hope people would seek to correct others when they see potential errors. If done with the right spirit, that is love. If done to judge others and puff ourselves up, that spirit will be readily evident to all and I do not see that in your commentary so no issue here. It is only when fangs show up that I have an issue. So continue to share. At some point we need to move on and leave it in God’s hands however. I will continue to search out truth but if we do not agree on the millenieum reign, let’s just duly note that point of difference and we both (all) can be looking for confirmation or correction on this matter from the Lord as we read Scripture and pray for wisdom. We all know that all revelation comes from HIM so even what we do agree on, came from the LORD. It was the Father in heaven that revealed who Jesus was to Peter and all of us. Praise His Mighty Name.

Hi Pete: Welcome back, Randall, I am sorry if I offended you in any way, this was not my intention, you were in my prayers. Here are some scripture that might help in some small way. Hebrews 12:2–Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith;who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God. Colossians 3:1–If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God. 2Thess.: 8&9–And then that wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming. Even him, whose coming is AFTER the working of satan with all power and signs and lying wonders. Acts 7:55&56–But he, being full of the Holy Ghost, looked up steadfastly into heaven, and saw the glory of God, and Jesus standing on the right hand of God. And said, Behold, I see the heavens opened, and the Son of man standing on the right hand of God(story of Stephen). Jesus has been ruling, and reigning in heaven since His assencion. So, if we have died to self, and are in Christ, then we are reigning with Him now, we are in the heavenlies. Randall, I can understand your thinking on the millenium, because this is what I thought too, until I watched Pete’s videos, and listened to Bro. Bill’s podcast on the 1000 years. It took awhile, but once I saw it with spiritual eyes, then it all fit together. If we look at things with the carnal mind, we will not see truth, we must see it thru the eyes of the spirit. I have studied this doctrine with many different denominations, and they always contrdicted one another, some even contradicted the Bible. I don’t know everything, I only know what the Lord shows me, I can’t say for certain that we are in the millenium, but I do know that Jesus is reignining from heaven today, and that He will descend one day soon, and satan with his army will be destroyed for ever. I can say that understanding this is not a matter of salvation. No one is going to be saved by having perfect doctrine. We all have errors in some parts of our doctrine. But we tend to have the same gospel understanding. Not everybody who believes in the false doctrine of the rapture is going to hell either.
I am quite sure God is going to save many Catholics and judge their hearts far more than their doctrine and circumstances of tradition they were born into.. I mean really in the last 1700 hundred hears there have been approximately 3 or 4 billion Catholics. Have they all gone to hell for errors in their doctrine? I would think not.
The church as whole never believed in this future mill reign until just recently. in the last 120 years.
This doctrin of a future mill reign if true, has to be reconciled that there are 2 Gog and Magog wars which is an unscriptural reading of Ezek 38. I have asked many believers if there is a future 1000 yr reign on earth, then waht about Gog and Magog? they always tell me; oh there are 2 Gog and Magog wars. So even if they are right about the 1000 future reign then their doctine of 2 Gog and magog wars is faulty. No body has perfect doctrine. So seek the Holy Spirit for guidence.
I do have to say if Christ is not ruling and reigning now, then you can not have power over serpents and scorpions, and nothing shall hurt you. (it seems quite condratictoy to me)

(spiritually meaning we are adopted into Israel) Actually when Jacob wrested with the angel all night he prevailed (had power over) Jacob became an “over comer” and he was adopted into Israel, and yes his name was changed to Israel as well. When we endure like Jacob and overcome then were are adopted into Israel.
These are those walking and ruling with God. If you are in Israel NOW you are ruling and prevailing with God NOW. These members of the true Israel since the cross are those who are ruling and reigning with Christ for the symbolic 1000 yrs. (perfection of the saints) This can found word study “perfect”

Dear brother Randall, I know that I’m new to the group and you dont know me at all, but I couldn’t help but notice you’re great concern over this topic. I to researched the millinium reign and found quite baffling especially when scripture says that his bound. Let me share whith you what I do know, have you ever asked youreself who is the great chain in the angels hand in Rev 20:1. Well the reason I ask this is because once you see who the great chain is everything starts making more sense. I believe that the great chain in the angels hand is the obedient brothers submitting to one another in agape love. For example man submitting under Christ ,the wife submitting to man, children submitting unto there parents , brothers submmiting to one another and finally the whole church submitting under Christ for he is the head of the church. When we act in obedience in all love submitting youreself to one another in Jesus name we bind satan in our lifes. Now we all see how satan deceives the whole world right now,then how
can that be? Well the church isn’t practicing much obedience or love at this moment except for a small remnant. I just want to say that Im trying to help out my intentions are not to confuse anyone. God bless you brother.
Randall, I believe Satan is bound at the cross. God is in control and Satan and the demons do not make a single step without God speaking it forth (Lam 3:37-38, ISA 45:7, etc). When we are submitted and surrendered to Jesus (ie go to the cross and die), we have all authority over Satan when we are IN CHRIST. When Jesus comes back, Satan and his army will be cast into the lake of fire but in the meantime, God uses the destroyers he created to accomplish His purposes. There will be new heavens and a new earth as this one will melt with fire. Jesus is sitting in heaven with Satan under his feet and is waiting on His children to make the enemy footstools for our feet. Jesus won the victory, but is being patient waiting for His children to get in on that victory and put the enemy under their feet.

The tempter and tester still roams this earth as that is God’s use of an enemy HE created, HE bound and HE uses to bring about HIS perfect will which is our sanctification. I am fully persuaded not to be divided with the brethren, knowing the enemy comes to test us constantly, even though he is already bound.

I have felt so sad all day. I felt so burdened. What i have learned, never came from Church. It came from such a love of justreading the word. i did not grow up in church. My Dad is atheist, my mom a non practicing catholic. They not once took me to church. I can say in my almost forty years of life. I have maybe, maybe been 25 Times.
I didnt read the word, to be exalted, look smart, It is just out of pure love of reading it. And that is by grace. I have read hours evey day, every day since may 30 2006.
Right after being led to repent, I was so hungry for God. Just God. Immediately i prayed for understanding, and a heart like King David that would always seek Wholehartedly God.
Its no coinincidence that he put that earnest love of reading the word in my heart like that.
A few days, though seldom i have just read up to 7 or 8. I have been so changed that now its all about others. There welfare, their help. The saving of souls. I have no desire for nothing this world has. There is no flavor in anything other than to please God. Such peace and joy in knowing him, and such a desire to please him. But such a heaviness, a utter sadness, for the lost. So many, so many have turned from him .
I am grateful for our little flock.
But i too am very fearful of this millenial teaching.
Christ the first time he came it was to bear the sins of many. The second time he shall appear without sin unto salvation.
Just bear with me on these next few verses as well. First in revelations chap 12 It says Satan was overcome and fell from heaven, then goes down to reek utter havoc , for he knows his time is short. How was he overcome. By the cross. Yet even before Christ went to the cross he said i beheld Satan as lightening fall. We cannot grasp eternity.
Why you think it says CHrist the lamb slain from the foundation of the world. We can only relate to what the carnal mind knows as time. Yet God had no begginnig nor end. Just always was, is and shall be. Now if we try and relate Satan being bound from the time of the cross as we know it, we cannot grasp this. Satan is not yet bound in that abyss, for Christ has not yet came back. As he left, so shall he appear again.
Now if satan was bound since ad 33 and that is a guess on the actual date. Why would later church apostles talk of our adversary as if he were not bound. Like Peter , when he warned the church………Be sober, be vigilant ; because your adversary the Devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about , seeking whome he may devour. (that is not bound) Or in another place when he speaks of Christ bruising Satan under his feet? Not to mention chapter 20 alone. Satan is not bound until Christ comes . Paul warned the entire church about not believing at all that the day of christ is at hand. He warned them to the point that he said even if there come a letter as from us, or a spirit, nor by word. He says let no man deceive you by any means ; for that day will not come except there come a falling away… first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perditon.Christ comes to destroy this son of perdition.
Look back at chapter one when is speaks of the rest we shal partake of.
Read it all,
I will start at verse 6. Seeing it is a righteous thing with God to recompense tribulation to them that trouble you; and to you who are troubled REST with us , when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with his mighty angels, in flamingfire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gosple of our Lord Christ.
Reread chapter 20 in revelations, then remember the warnig Paul gives the church.
And then read the fate of the one who adds to or takes from the the prophecy of this book.
Its not good. The one who adds gets the plagues, the one who takes from his life from the book of life. Paul was adamant about not being decieved about the day of CHrist. And the 1000 yrs dont occur till Christ come. Everything else you have taught Pete is awesome.

Pete: You are very welcome, and I meant every word. I also wonder if the era of mercy is over, and it’s just judgement now, sure feels that way. All one need do is look around, and if they can’t compare what is going on today with the days of Noah, and Lot, well I just don’t know. I just can’t see how anyone could look at the condition of this world, and not see all the turmoil, our only hope is Jesus. Jesus may have closed the door that only He can open, I pray not, but not my will, but His be done. I know that your discernment of the scripture is truth, and if you happen to stumble, then the Holy Spirit will correct you. As I have said many times, I have studied with various denominations, and after comparing, and checking line upon line, and precept upon precept, I can’t see anything that is amiss. As far as the Millenium, I can’t say for sure if this is where we are at present, I do know that Satan was bound at the cross, and that the powers that he has are controlled by God. Thanks Roger. The doctrine of the Mileneium reign is one I have not studied very hard or sought counsel from God on specifically. I shared my understanding of it which could in fact be dead wrong and I will admit that. Bill has done more studying on this and has put forth some insightful things but unless and until the Spirit of God reveals truth to us we should not take it to heart, that is how we end up following men and not Jesus. At the end of the day, our understanding of doctrine is not the criteria to enter into the Kingdom as we all know. I plan to seek some understanding on this as I do other prophetic Scripture understanding. There are some things non negotiable as the Lord has confirmed them to me many times, the millenium reign clearly is not one of those.
We can see things differently as what the Lord has revealed to us may be different as we are on different walks and different milestones on reaching full maturity. Jesus is not done with me yet so I am eager to continue to learn. I see the right spirit in your comment and Randall’s. We must remember who we are fighting and how we fight and that we are all on the same team. Let’s continue to edify each other, share understanding and testimonies but trust God to work it all out. My issue I mentioned on Facebook was not that people disagree, it was the venom and the fangs that are so quickly shown which is clearly not of the Holy Spirit. We are to correct a brother or reprove a brother in all gentleness lest we ourselves be tempted (Gal 6:1). I believe that is the spirit that predominates here and the spirit in which you and Randall have voiced your opposing view on the millienium reign. To me it all comes back to making sure we receive nothing from any man unless the Lord confirms it by His Spirit. Then and only then do we take it to heart. Randall – I weep with you, and in His love, I stand with you on the scriptural belief that for the reasons you have written, we cannot be in the millenial reign of the Lord Jesus Christ at this time.
The world is being deceived by satan, he is not yet bound, Christ Jesus has not yet visibly returned – therefore the physical millenial reign of Jesus the Christ as Lord and King is still future.

I have no problem with seeing the spiritual side of future events, prophetic scripture also reveals the physical or natural side as well. Paul taught on this in 1 Cor.15.
The Holy Spirit indwells born again believers now, Christ Jesus and His Father also ‘indwell’ us through the Holy Spirit (John 14) scripture also tells us that Christ Jesus currently sits at the right hand of His Father in Heaven. This is the omnipresence of God, and His spiritual reign now – His physical return and reign is still future.
Everything that exists from the point of Creation onward was in the ‘mind’ of the Almighty God (therefore spiritual) before the physical happened.
To teach only the spiritual is to teach only a part of the reality and truth which is Christ Jesus, who as The Word, existed before creation, and spoke creation into existence. From the spiritual to the physical.

Amy – I believe we are only accountable on our understanding of His truth. Whether we have endtime theories right or wrong is not a salvation issue – salvation is based on belief in the truth of the Lord Jesus Christ versus unbelief John 16:4-14). That belief which is the revelation, and recognition of who He is, will then lead to repentance as we turn from unbelief (sin). A heart change is what the Lord Jesus is looking for, not our theology.
Pete has stated that he does not have all truth, no man does – we need to be as Bereans and search scripture for truth – as born again, Holy Spirit indwelt, believers in the deity of the Lord Jesus, we should turn to Him for interpretation of His words, and His teachings – He is all truth.

Thanks Sandra and for your private message also. I am ready and know what is going on. Satan is out in full force, he only has a short time and using people is his favorite pasttime to bring trouble, stir up stife and sow division, doubt, fear —- you name it. When I am down the Lord always picks me back up if I go to His throne of grace and try not to stand on my own strength and power. The flood of deception that sweeps away the wicked (in the spiritual) is here and the spiritual flood waters are rising incredibly fast. The tsunami waves of false doctrines and lies are knocking down many walls and fortresses that make up man’s religion. Where are the warnings from the watchmen? Everyone is eating, drinking, buying and selling just like in Noah’s time.

I have spoken with several lost people passionately but they remain in darkness and cannot discern even the slightest bit of truth. I have wondered if the era of mercy is now past and all that is left is the judgment.

To my understanding we are in the millinium ( Christ reigns now ). All these numbers in years , in days, in months and weeks are symbolic. Dont Know exactly how there measured for theres things even the most wise have a hard time understanding. The chapters in Rev after chapter 6 do not necessarily run in a linear fashion. Plus Rev 21-4 puts a huge roadblock to a future millennial reign theory. The future mill reign theology is very new age an was not taught before the 20th century. Ch 21-4 clearly states that the #4, the number of tribulation continues through the 1000 years reign. This means with a future mill reign theology you will be stuck with; 1-more death,-2 more sorrow, 3 more crying, 4 more pain. In other wards more tribulation after this life. Not gonna happen. Tribulation is over after this world comes to an end.

I dont want any of us to be misled in the smallest way. So i ask us all to give this deep prayer to the Lord. I begin by saying Pete has been doing an outstanding job in warning us all about the babylonian system. And too, i can tell by how he writes that his intent appears to be that of Love . For he warns. He warns of deceptions on all kinds of lies. Like once saved, or we cant fail of Grace. This is a walk of faith in Christ, only we must abide, continue in him, or we too be cast out as a unprofitable branch. Pete warns by using scriptures. The scriptures are the basis by which we know whether or not we speak truth or lie. We must prove all that we say with the scriptures. If I come and teach you all something, then you had better prove it by seeing if it agrees with scripture. For example , if i told you all that that we cant fail of grace, then give you some scriptures , twisted, to back it………. how would you know whether i speak truth or have been misled? The answer, if what i say contradicts the word , then i have been misled. My understanding on that subject has been mis understood. An example would be a friend of mine once told me, that when Christ comes, and we are in the true Kingdom, after all evil has been destroyed, That we will be have wives. He used Genesis as an example. He said God intended us to be man and wife, and once all this evil is done away that it how it will be again. Sounds right.
But it is false. For Christ himself said for those counted worthy to obtain ressurection, the children are as the angles in heaven. That we are not given in marriage. So you see, he has jumped to a conclusion by an understanding, he thought was of God. But God does not contradict his word. Truly we all must compare all that we are taught to what the word says. Not what makes sense to us, but by what the actual word says. We all live in a fleshly body, and the wisdom of the world, will make sense to the flesh. But this does not make it truth. The word says…….rebuke a scorner you get a spot. But if you rebuke a wise man he will love thee. Anytime i have been in error, God has sent someone to correct me. And by his grace, and not the flesh, i have heard and repented of it. I have prayed to our Lord, and asked him may i never teach in error. If i am ever in error, may God send someone in my life, to correct me, and may i hear them and repent. None of us are perfect. Even King David was in error. But what did he do when his error was brought to him? well lets see. Nathan came to David and told him the story of a rich man, that instead of taking a lamb from his own flocks, had taken a lamb, the only lamb, from a poor family. When Nathan told King david this. David was furious with that man. He said, let that mans house be made a dunghill. It was then that Nathan told David words of truth. Nathan said, but Lord… that man was you. Wake up call. David did not argue, or sayanything. He repentted, to the point he refused any money to help. He did it from his heart.
So my next statement is………. How do we handle our errors? Do we make excuse it encouragaes some so there is good in it……..or do we repent and correct it?

It is impossible for us to be in the 1000 years already. Impossible. For in revelations chapter 20 The word makes very clear , that Satan himself has already been bound in the thousand years. In ch 19. The beast and false prophet are already cast into the Lake of Fire. In verse2-3 of chapter 20 it reads And he laid hold upon the dragon, which is the Devil, and Satan, and bound him a thousand years. And cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and set a seal upon him, THAT HE SHOULD DECIEVE THE NATIONS NO MORE, til the thousand years should be fullfilled; and after that he must be loosed a little season.read 45678 . These make clear also that all who refused the mark, lived andreigned with christ thethousand years. Which means that if we were in the thousand years, no one living with us, would be marked. FOr the rest of the dead, who had taken the mark lived not again until the thousand years are expired. Now. it is impossible for us to be in these 1000 years, cause i aint never seen deception like what is going on in this age. And we all know who the deciever is. So he is not bound yet.

The Jehovas, mormons, Buddists are all nice people with truth in what they say. But yet there is lies as well. Pete: I know you did this blog almost one year ago, and I am so glad that you leave them up for future reference. This is so true of what is happening today, and has been for some time. The Lord is wakeing His people so that they can see the spiritual side of all He is doing. The scripture references that you gave are very good, Ezekial 38&39, Joel chapter 2, and Luke 17, if one reads the whole chapter from each book it is easy to see how they come together. Soon our Lord will destroy the very army he sent to decieve, and they will be no more in the land. What a glorious day that will be, when we see our KING. You are exactly correct. All things in this universe hold together thru Jesus Christ the KING, even the enemy. God works all things for the greater good, even sending an enemy for those who love Him. The Lord created and sends the destroyer to wreck havoc and turn the hearts of people living for self and relying on the strength of their flesh back to Himself.

The powers of darkness are also the locusts in Joel that run on the walls, the whitewashed walls of Babylon, the fallen church. They are the birds of mid heaven in Revelation 19:17-18 (Jer 7:33, Zeph 1:7, Deut 28:26, Lamentations 2 and 3, Ezek 39:18, JOB 18, etc) that God prepares a feast. The enemy feast on the spiritual dead bodies of the fallen people of God. Where Lord? Where are the people taken the Disciples ask Jesus.

No rapture here, this is a spiritual taking away, the God sent delusion and destruction for all who love sin. The fear of the Lord has been removed from man’s flesh gospel yet God has not changed. The fallen church says they are alive, but they are dead and are being feasted upon by an enemy they do not even acknowledge exists. Babylon is a dwelling place of demons and oh my is this truth hard to see when the Lord has not given one eyes to see it.
I guess what I was trying to say about the key and God using satan to accomplish the wrath…the verses in Revelation 9 looks like the transaction of what you are saying.

If I understand this correctly…the star that falls from heaven to earth is satan and the key to the shaft of the abyss was given to him to cause destruction.
Jesus holds that key and uses satan to accomplish his wrath.

17 When I saw Him, I fell at His feet like a dead man. He laid His right hand on me, and said, “Don’t be afraid! I am the First and the Last, 18 and the Living One. I was dead, but look—I am alive forever and ever, and I hold the keys of death and Hades.

Exactly the picture that is given here in Isaiah 44 (and elsewhere)…Cyrus (which his name means lord) destroys Babylon.

Great post and if possible better discussions. I’m still trying to digest where this puts us in the prophecy timeline. I was thinking that we are coming up on the sixth seal and the fall of Babylon – the time of wrath. I’m wondering your thoughts on that.

when i was 5ish years old I was up in an airplane flying to London…when we were getting close to our destination, I looked out of the window of the airplane and literally saw a battle above the clouds like what scripture talks about in your article…I saw men dressed in metal armor, riding horses, and carrying long spears. this “vision” i saw was strange to a 5year old mind but I never forgot it and i never understood it and strangely enough i never told anyone about it. Fast forward to about 40 years later…i was going through a tough time where God literally brought me to the end of my self, basically, He finally brought me to repentance…I started to seek God and had this burning desire to understand what the battle looked like as is described in Ephesians. I cried out to God one time and said “God! what does the battle look like?” sometime later, I believe God said, “I did show you, when you were 5 years old….suddenly, the vision came back to my mind and I understood. I was not raised in a christian home..infact was raised by 2 very ungodly parents and suffered emotional abuse…but basically, no matter who you are we all need to come to repentence and hate sin and turn to Christ for forgiveness and seek the Lord (Abba Father) with all your heart and He will reveal all truth. Do not trust in man but the Lord and His Word.
I would like to add to that I am struggling with where to “fellowship”. I myself am guilty of judging intent of the heart of those in “churches” and have repented of it, as I do not know anyone’s heart. Thank you for posting what you did about Mother Teresa, I never thought of it in that light. This is very difficult, and I look forward to seeing in answers regarding this as well. Its a heart issue, but where is the line drawn. Honestly, I have been paralyzed for two months now, not knowing what to do, & having a hard time finding others that are likeminded. He’s shown me some amazing things about Benjamin over the last year, the study just keeps going & going, even to the point recently of Benjamin being the raven and the dove, the evening and the morning, taking me to the Genesis account of darkness on the earth (our heart)and the light etc. Too much to go into and way off topic. I look forward to reading more of your postings.

“The battles of the saints are not military ones, but spiritual. These battles have to do with properly understanding prophecies of the Bible, such as the prophecy of Ezekiel 38, and whether or not it is about a military invasion of Palestine.
Looking at the invasion by the armies of Gog and Magog from the point of view suggested by John in Revelation 20:8-9, their assault on the “camp of the saints” pictures vast multitudes of people whose teachings and beliefs are contrary to the prophets and apostles. Flawed interpretations of the prophecies of scripture are the weapons carried by the armies of Gog and Magog, their bows and arrows, spears, handstaves, shields and bucklers. Ezekiel said these weapons will be burned as fuel for seven years. The flammable nature of these weapons is emphasized by Ezekiel.

Books are flammable! However, this burning is not a literal burning, but the saints destroying the mistaken views about the scriptures and the Gospel, and all the flawed arguments and interpretations of prophecy, which has occurred throughout the church’s history.
The seven years that the weapons are burned as fuel may be symbolic; it may correspond to the 70th week of Daniel’s prophecy of the 70 weeks, which represents the time during which Christ confirms the covenant with his church”

Check out this article written by Neal who has a good site of many impactful articles. I believe Neal did a nice job with this in explaining the institutional church. I have written a long answer to your question but it raised more questions that it answered so I am going to study and pray for wisdom on your question. Because it is a very good question and if I cannot answer it myself clearly and concisely, without doubt, then I know I have not yet found the full truth to answer the question.
There is one thought I do have that is pretty clear to me. Let’s use Mother Theresa as an example. She was certainly a much better person than I am and gave so much of herself. Yet she belonged to an insitution, the Catholic church that is clearly apostate. Yet I am confident Mother Theresa was a saint and I will see her in heaven. She did not practice sin, she came out and was separate from the ways of the world, and she strived to live a godly live in Christ. She ministered to sinners but she did not follow in their ways of life in how she conducted her life. Her membership in an apostate church did NOT corrupt her pursuit of righteousness and so I see her as an example to help us explain Babylon and give some direction. Going to a good church doesn’t guarantee anything just the same as going to a bad church guarantees a negative outcome.
So the caution is that we not become evil judges of hearts and go hide in caves. Yet we cannot be friends of the world or the things in the world. How do we balance the two goal posts? I need to know this myself in a clearer way than I can now articulate. Right now I am relunctantly keeping a small link back to “church”, yet putting more emphasis on small group fellowship of like minded Christians that understand and desire to walk in holiness before the Lord.
Amen Tim. The more I look at the army, the locusts and the prophecies in these books, the more it all ties together and speaks of today. Few realize that God sends this northern army, it is HIS ARMY that is sent to accomplish His will.
Joel 2:24 The threshing floors will be filled with grain; the vats will overflow with new wine and oil. I will repay you for the years the locusts have eaten— the great locust and the young locust, the other locusts and the locust swarm — my great army that I sent among you
Speaking of Jeremiah and the prophecy against Babylon, I found this verse interesting.
Jeremiah 51:63 When you finish reading this scroll, tie a stone to it and throw it into the Euphrates. 64 Then say, ‘So will Babylon sink to rise no more because of the disaster I will bring upon her. And her people will fall.’ “
If Babylon will rise no more, then this judgment was speaking about the end time Babylon as otherwise Babylon would have risen again in the end times. We know it was Jesus speaking in these prophetic judgments of Babylon as it tell us.
Jeremiah 51:57 I will make her officials and wise men drunk, her governors, officers and warriors as well; they will sleep forever and not awake,” declares the KING whose name is the LORD Almighty.
There are a lot of spiritually drunk nice folks and many will not awaken and get oil in their lamps.

Mate! Keep seeing this word NORTH now. Had to mention that reading Joel Chapter 2 concerning the “Day of the Lord”
The word says that if we will return to the Lord, rend our hearts and not our garments He will Vs 20 ; Remove from you the “Northern Army”. Northern in Strongs concordance means “Host of Locusts coming from the NORTH” and NORTH as you say meaning from Strongs “The secret, obscure and dark place”
Therefore in keeping with the same theme concerning the end of the age, judgment on Babylon the Great and now, the Day of the Lord. We see this same theme repeated over and over. A destroying army which is set forth as the threshing floor of the Lord. Joel 2:24 NIV “and the threshing floor shall be full of grain and the vats shall overflow with the juice of the grape and the oil”

Tim, I think you are on to something as I pondered an issue last night before seeing your comment. I do think they (Gog invasion and Revelation invasion) are the same judgment and event or at least part of the overall series of judgment. The tares and the wheat grow up together so when God attacks “Israel”, is that speaking to the “professing” church in total (daughters of zion and daughters of Babylon included)? When the attack comes, the wheat and chaff are separated, the true Israel (the woman of Rev 12) is protected spiritually speaking and Babylon (the fallen church) is swept away. Being swept away is akin to being recruitied and joining the wrong army. Gog encamps around “Israel” and commands hordes (fallen Christians that worship the beast) and Revelation also speaks to huge armies encamping around the City that are destroyed by the fire that follows the flood. so I do see them as the same series of events and will continue to seek more knowledge and understanding. Just wanted to add a further comment concerning the teaching. As you know it is the whole last day Babylon issue that I am seeking to address and understand so I found the “Out of the NORTH, disaster from the NORTH, land of the NORTH” an interesting revelation.
Re-reading the scriptures concerning judgment on Babylon I was amazed at how often Jeremiah 50/51 uses this terminology “NORTH”
I’m wondering if in fact the judgment on Babylon the Great, and the Gog, Magog invasion as explained in your post are in fact referring to the same issue.
It would seem to tie in with a last day delusion and deception of our day.

Thanks for the teaching. I have always accepted that God is in charge of evil and good. The Job scriptures have proved that.
Here in the UK we don’t have the ‘mega churches’ like you have in the US. Being a Christian in the UK is really looked down upon, you get very ridiculed when you say you are one. England is virtually secular.
We have mostly small struggling churches, even the church of england is like virtually dead, and totally apostasised.
My question is ‘what constitutes the babylone church we must flee from’. Is that all church thats in a building, or only the ones with obvious OSAS preaching or ones caught up in the false spirit revival. What about the ones that don’t preach OSAS, but have other issues.
Does fleeing mean you never meet anywhere but in homes?
Do you have any ideas?

Tim, This is no easy prophecy and like you I have looked at it countless times and have waffled back and forth. If there is any prophecy that makes me doubt who is Israel is, it is this one. I will continue to look at it but wanted to write down what has become clearer in my mind and which ties into the consistent spiritual and symbolic interpretation of the end time signs. I am all ears for the truth and if anyone finds the gaping holes in this interpretation, I want to hear about it as we all need the truth. Blessings from Jesus.

The Gog and Magog event is one that I have never really been able to come to a settled conclusion on, and I have looked at it many times. I’ve read many interpretations of this event but always there is a “check” in my spirit.
I too am of the belief that the Book of Revelation Gog and Magog of chapter 20, speaks of the last day flood of deception on the earth, and so too I see that Ezekiel’s event and the Revelation event are one and the same.
This explanation of yours really builds upon what we see concerning the delusion of the last days. Where as I once I presumed that the spewing out of the Lukewarm Church was a literal handing over to ones earthly enemies, today I am of the sense that this spewing out is all tied in with the falling away, the spiritual deception, the lie that brings condemnation, and so on. This is the threshing floor of the Lord, The separation of the chaff from the wheat, as prophesied by John the Baptist concerning the work of Christ.
And so this explanation of yours follows that same line of thought.
I still have a few questions about the Ezekiel text so I’ll keep reading and praying but I sense that what you say is an entirely reasonable proposition. If in fact this explanation of your is true then certainly the words of Jeremiah ring true in our day :
Jer 4:10 Then I said, “Ah, Lord GOD! Surely You have greatly deceived this people and Jerusalem, Saying, ‘You shall have peace,’ Whereas the sword reaches to the heart.”
