The Wise Will Never Ever See It
Luke 17:17-21 The seventy returned with joy, saying, “Lord, even the demons are subject to us in Your name.” 18And He said to them, “I was watching Satan fall from heaven like lightning. 19Behold, I have given you authority to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing will injure you. 20“Nevertheless do not rejoice in this, that the spirits are subject to you, but rejoice that your names are recorded in heaven.” 21At that very time He rejoiced greatly in the Holy Spirit, and said, “I praise You, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that You have hidden these things from the wise and intelligent and have revealed them to infants. Yes, Father, for this way was well-pleasing in Your sight
One of the great mysteries of God is Satan and the powers of darkness. This is the mystery of lawlessness spoken of by Paul in 2 Thess. What is widely taught or understood about our enemy is just plain wrong and deceptive. That is of course the enemies game, to deceive us and keep us in spiritual darkness and that starts and ends with who they are and how they work in our lives to kill, steal and destroy our lives and our faith. God of course allows this or even better said, purposefully sends them forth to test us and bring us through the fire of purification and sanctification. If we do not endure this furnace by standing with God alone, we will be overcome with deception and spiritual blindness. I was finally shown this truth and it has changed my life, brought me much closer to God and given me a fresh boldness in speaking the true gospel even though it brings derision and rejection by the world. The truth comes against flesh and it ruffles the feathers of the religious traditions of men. We were promised it would happen and I am seeing it play out first hand.
The context of this anchor passage from Luke is the 70 “baby” and newly minted disciples returning from their first evangelical mission. These new disciples were full of joy because they saw the glory of God manifest when they freed many from demons in the name of Jesus. Jesus then prayed to the Father, praising God for hiding the knowledge and the workings of the power of darkness from the worldly-wise and intelligent. This is consistent recurring theme throughout all the Scriptures. God is the sole provider of true wisdom and He alone reveals the truth to whom He decides. We do not get revelation from a man, a teacher, a Pastor unless God is using that person and your heart is ready to receive the truth. When the real Jesus has your whole heart, not the false idol Jesus found in man built church systems; God brings forth revelation of the mysteries of His Kingdom. The powers of darkness are clearly one such mystery and most people have indeed been blinded to the truth about these servants of the Most High God. Jesus goes on as recorded in Luke and reaffirms the special privilege on seeing the mystery and workings of the powers of darkness.
Luke 10:25 Turning to the disciples, He said privately, “Blessed are the eyes which see the things you see, 24for I say to you, that many prophets and kings wished to see the things which you see, and did not see them, and to hear the things which you hear, and did not hear them
When did God change? When did all the demons go away? I read about them all through the Book of Acts and in many Epistles. Why did Jesus tell us we would do the works He did and even greater works? Why did Jesus tell us we would cast out demons in His name? The point is they have not gone away, we have just been deceived about them and the mystery. We have been blinded by our love of sin. We have picked and chosen through the Word of God to build doctrines based on half truths but many essential truths, including the powers of darkness as God’s wrath and storm have been stripped away little by little until we have totally perverted the truth. Here a little, there a little said the Prophet Isaiah about this decay.
Our ministry for God is to make disciples teaching them to obey all He commanded. Our model is the model Jesus showed us in finding the 12, then adding the 70 then telling us to go make more in the great commission. Without the truth about evil and the powers of darkness, we pervert the Word of God by watering down the truth about sin and judgment. Cutting out the truth about Satan and the powers of darkness is essential to deceive the whole world. Jesus said the majority of Christians would be deceived in the end and they in fact are already and that is just one sign we know the end is coming very soon. Matthew 24:11 and many false prophets will appear and deceive many people
As shown in Revelation 13, the False Prophets come disguised as man made religion. They look like lambs but speak like dragons. God said you would not believe this truth if someone told you. So here I a mere man am telling you but you won’t believe it until God shows it to you. My hope is that some of you are beginning to see holes in the doctrines you may hold dear to your heart. Maybe you are starting to see the calamity; the sickness, the stress, the sin, the economic duress, the focus on worldly things, the ratcheting fear, the selfishness, the double mindedness and the mixing of Christianity with worldly and ungodly practices. Maybe you are seeing people falsely secure in their religion that live like the world begin to crumble. That is the earthquake my friend and everything is going to be shaken, everything and everyone.
What most of us practice is not God’s pure religion. God defined it as being unspotted from the world. Church today is almost universally man-made religion and driven by the works of the flesh. A huge majority of professing believers are under a religious delusion. The delusion Paul spoke of as did the Prophets, has already come upon the harlot church and its assembly of many congregations and denominations. In the meantime, Jesus is building His church, His way and only a small remnant will be found worthy. If people could see the truth about the powers of darkness, they would quickly awaken and see the deception that has ensnared almost everyone and put them in bondage to these false gods and the abominations they cause inside of us which is where God dwells today. The temple has been defiled.
This may seem counter intuitive, but spiritual blindness about the powers of darkness is all part of God’s plan. It is how He brings judgment upon the ungodly and those that practice or love their sin. If they want their ears tickled with false doctrines that says you can walk, talk and act like the world and still be in the will of God — the Lord will send them false teachers and false prophets that will lead them even further into spiritual darkness. God is awakening many to this truth as the end nears. Jesus said He told us everything ahead of time and as the chosen wake up, we will all be astonished and horrified of the real truth. I have written on this recently and because of it many have thrown darts my way. I take this as a good sign that I am on the right path, it is just one of many confirmations I have asked for and received from the Lord.

The vast majority of Christianity is fake and the worship is in vain. I say this out of horror not out of any pride or condemnation. I myself was in the other crowd until God had other plans. There are very many false prophets and false teachers out there spewing a bunch of carnal, fleshly and worldly wisdom about the things of God. James called this demonic wisdom in James 3:15. Almost all of most popular and widely believed doctrines are pure deception that originated right out of Satan’s playbook and which have since become the traditions of men over the centuries. Such error and foolishness of men does violence to the WORD and sheds the innocent blood of unknowing people who are seeking God but are instead led astray. Woe to them who do such things as it would be better for them to have a millstone tied around their neck and tossed into the ocean then to face the Lord on that terrible day. I speak to you in this forum well aware that I will be held to full account of the things I write in this forum. I pray every day for wisdom and guidance so I will only do what the Spirit wants me to do. Indeed we all should be seeking HIS approval and following HIM and not any man.
God Gives Sight and Causes Blindness
Luke 24:45 Then He opened their minds to understand the Scriptures
We are the clay, He is the potter. Who are we to talk back to the potter? He gives mercy to whom He gives mercy and He gives revelation to whom He gives revelation. We the people of God need to let God be God and quit looking to men for our wisdom. There is ONE Teacher and that is the Christ.
Daniel was a real prophet, mentioned by Jesus in the Olivet Discourse about the end times. Here is what Daniel had to say in prayer after revealing the horrifying dream of the end times judgment to the king of Babylon.
Daniel 2:21-22 He gives wisdom to wise men and knowledge to men of understanding. 22“It is He who reveals the profound and hidden things; He knows what is in the darkness, and the light dwells with Him.
God sends forth the deluding influence. The Lord hold the keys to all wisdom and understanding. The fear of the Lord is the foundation upon which all wisdom is built. Hear the words of the Lord speaking warning to His people. The church of today has few that can read and fewer that can see.
Isaiah 29:9 Be delayed and wait, Blind yourselves and be blind; They become drunk, but not with wine, They stagger, but not with strong drink. For the LORD has poured over you a spirit of deep sleep, He has shut your eyes, the prophets; And He has covered your heads, the seers. 11The entire vision will be to you like the words of a sealed book, which when they give it to the one who is literate, saying, “Please read this,” he will say, “I cannot, for it is sealed.” 12Then the book will be given to the one who is illiterate, saying, “Please read this.” And he will say, “I cannot read.”
God is in control. He lets those that do not love Him be blind and get blinder. He lets them get drunk and drunker with false religion and doctrines of demons. God puts them to sleep using His mighty army, the spirits of the powers of darkness. The Lord shuts people eyes and covers them in this darkness because they have forsaken Him in rebellion and have not purged sin from their midst.
Isaiah 42:16 I will lead the blind by a way they do not know, In paths they do not know I will guide them, I will make darkness into light before them. God does it, you need to understand it is HIM that causes this using His creation to do it.
Satan, who works for God comes as do his demons do as an angel of light. Well, we can blame this on Satan, but it really is God, as Satan works for God and it is the Lord that does it. God makes darkness look like light. God brings the delusion, He brings the deception. Once you see what I speak of you will indeed have a new Bible because there is nary a single chapter in the whole of the Bible that does not make this same point. We have just not had the eyes to see it. We have not laid down our lives for God and followed Him in total surrender like the 70 baby disciples did as referenced earlier in this post.
Isaiah 45:3 I will give you the treasures of darkness and hidden wealth of secret places, so that you may know that it is I
When God shows you the truth about the powers of darkness – you will know that it was from HIM. I know what I write here is truth and light that was given to me by God, not to be hidden under a bowl but to be placed on a hill and proclaimed. It may be presented in an imperfect way, but the gist of the message is truth. If even one soul is awakened, then I praise God forevermore for using me in some small way. The truth never will win any popularity contests in the religious crowds. It didn’t for any Prophet, Jesus, any Apostle and won’t today either. People will reject truth and will accuse the one speaking truth of blasphemy. But when God shows it to you, you will not shrink back from the Word and the Truth.
Jeremiah 4:22 For My people are foolish, They know Me not; They are stupid children and have no understanding. Most of the professing church are foolish virgins, they are not wise. The story of these blind and foolish virgins is told by Jesus in Matthew 25. They thought they were saved, they lived with a false peace and a false security but when Jesus came they were not ready, they had not purified themselves and Jesus told them depart from me, I never knew you. Wake up now so you can prepare yourself. The Bride must make herself ready. The powers of darkness are good news once you understand them and know how to respond by focusing on Jesus.
God invites the powers of darkness, His servants to come feast on the rebellious and deceived people of God. If we know about “them”, we will be alerted that something is amiss with our walk with God or that we are being tested and we will return to the Lord with all our hearts. But the rebellious continue to walk in rebellion and remain in captivity and do not experience the freedom and true peace that is in Christ. Here is the Word of the Lord regarding those that play religion and meet God half way yet hold idols in their heart and make God one of them.
Isaiah 44:17-19 They do not know, nor do they understand, for He has smeared over their eyes so that they cannot see and their hearts so that they cannot comprehend. 19No one recalls, nor is there knowledge or understanding to say, “I have burned half of it in the fire and also have baked bread over its coals I roast meat and eat it Then I make the rest of it into an abomination, I fall down before a block of wood!”
God Sends Prophets To Awaken Some
Contrary to man’s wisdom which says to bring as many people together in “church”, God had the opposite idea. He wants His people to be Holy and separate. Here is powerful passage of Scripture that defines Isaiah’s calling as a Prophet. I have added my brief commentary in black to convey the message being spoken.
Isaiah 6:8-13 Then I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, “Whom shall I send, and who will go for Us?” Then I said, “Here am I. Send me!”
9He said, “Go, and tell this people:
’Keep on listening, but do not perceive; (God mocks the false religion, vain worship)
Keep on looking, but do not understand.’ (wisdom of men is foolishness to God)
10“render the hearts of this people insensitive, (Jesus is not Lord, He is just one of many idols)
Their ears dull, (they will not hear His voice, they are not His sheep)
And their eyes dim, (their eyes are closed to the truth, their hearts are hard)
Otherwise they might see with their eyes,
Hear with their ears,
Understand with their hearts,
And return and be healed.” (until we repent of our idols, we will not see or hear TRUTH. We may well be religious, but it is all going to be in vain as we bow to a different God than the LORD).
11Then I said, “Lord, how long?” And He answered, (Isaiah asks how long will this go on)
”Until cities are devastated and without inhabitant, (God says until the “church”, the cities are devastated and desolate)
Houses are without people
And the land is utterly desolate,
12“The LORD has removed men far away,
And the forsaken places are many in the midst of the land. (Many are deceived, many are desolate. The abomination is already in God’s temple)
13“Yet there will be a tenth portion in it,
And it will again be subject to burning,
Like a terebinth or an oak
Whose stump remains when it is felled (Man made church cut down by powers of darkness)
The holy seed is its stump.” (Very FEW, a small remnant will be saved)
Ezekiel 40:3-5 The man said to me, “Son of man, see with your eyes, hear with your ears, and give attention to all that I am going to show you; for you have been brought here in order to show it to you Declare to the house of Israel all that you see.”
The Lord gives us the eyes to see and ears to hear. The Prophet Ezekiel was shown the false temple (man-made church) which represents the end times Babylon Church that actually worships the Beast. Yet very few have the eyes to see this and instead they keep looking to a country called Israel to see when a third physical temple is going to be built. You see the glory of God, which no man can fully grasps includes the powers of darkness. God is indeed the creator of all and there are many descriptions of Satan and the powers of darkness that wise men simply have not been shown the truth. The Whirlwinds or whirling wheels in Ezekiel 1 and 10, that are also mentioned throughout Isaiah and Jeremiah are all references and convey facts about our spiritual enemy which serves the Lord.
Jesus when speaking to the seven churches in the Book of Revelation, ended every single message with this statement.
He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches
I don’t want to digress into this topic here, but I will say I believe the Word tells us there were to be seven periods of time, or church ages based on what is said in the Prophets and that we are in the last age, the church of Laodicea. This is the lukewarm church that will be vomited out of Jesus mouth on judgment day. Here is what our Lord says about the end time church.
Revelation 3:17-18 ‘Because you say, “I am rich, and have become wealthy, and have need of nothing,” and you do not know that you are wretched and miserable and poor and blind and naked, 18I advise you to buy from Me gold refined by fire so that you may become rich, and white garments so that you may clothe yourself, and that the shame of your nakedness will not be revealed; and eye salve to anoint your eyes so that you may see. 19Those whom I love, I reprove and discipline; therefore be zealous and repent.
Compare this description with how Babylon the Great the Mother of Harlots is described. They describe the same “church”. Queens that are rich and in need of nothing or so they believe via their deception.
Revelation 18:7 In the measure that she glorified herself and lived luxuriously, in the same measure give her torment and sorrow; for she says in her heart, ‘I sit as queen, and am no widow, and will not see sorrow.
Repentance is the forgotten oracle of God. Without it God’s people are blindly and vainly worshipping a different God and will be astonished to find themselves naked and with the goats on the day of judgment. The only way to see spiritual truths and to hear the voice of the Shepherd is to repent and come to God with a pure heart. Jesus explained that He spoke in parables after relaying the Parable of the Sower. The 5,000 people who heard Jesus did not get it, or at least we are not told how many did. By and large they did not understand and Jesus explained why.
Matthew 13:10-17 excerpted And the disciples came and said to Him, “Why do You speak to them in parables?” 11Jesus answered them, “To you it has been granted to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it has not been granted.12“For whoever has, to him more shall be given, and he will have an abundance; but whoever does not have, even what he has shall be taken away from him. 13“Therefore I speak to them in parables; because while seeing they do not see, and while hearing they do not hear, nor do they understand.
16“But blessed are your eyes, because they see; and your ears, because they hear. 17“For truly I say to you that many prophets and righteous men desired to see what you see, and did not see it, and to hear what you hear, and did not hear it.
Jesus, speaking through the Prophets said the same thing. Men in their wisdom and their practice of religion WILL NEVER EVER be able to understand key truths about God and His Kingdom. This is why going to seminary school and going to religious programs and events are folly to God unless He really calls someone to go. Whether He does, I don’t know, only God knows and the person being called if they can discern the voice of the Spirit. If the Lord calls you, He will equip you and show you all you need to do His work just as He did to every prophet, disciple and Apostle recorded in the Scriptures. When someone tells me Dr. so and so said this, I become a huge skeptic and begin looking for the Word of God in their message, but what I typically hear is worldly wisdom and references to books or speeches written by other men. Don’t get me wrong, there are many good anointed and God taught leaders, but they are indeed relatively few and we must be wise or else we will be deceived.
In the End Many Will See
My inclination is to paste in here whole chapters like Jeremiah 23, but I will show you an excerpt. God has said people would awaken in the end times and at that point some would begin to understand and see the horrible truth about His righteous judgments and the fact the powers of darkness, aka Satan, aka the whirling tempest, work and serve God. All along all God wants is our whole heart but yet we were unwilling to turn from our sin. We have loved our sin more than we have loved our God. We have failed to understand how God carries out His judgments and bring discipline to turn us from sin and this ignorance has led us further into spiritual darkness. I understand now Lord!
Jeremiah 23:19-22
Behold, the storm of the LORD has gone forth in wrath,
Even a whirling tempest;
It will swirl down on the head of the wicked.
20“The anger of the LORD will not turn back
Until He has performed and carried out the purposes of His heart;
In the last days you will clearly understand it.
21“I did not send these prophets, (they were called by themselves, taught my men)
But they ran.
I did not speak to them,
But they prophesied.
22“But if they had stood in My council,
Then they would have announced My words to My people,
And would have turned them back from their evil way (purged sin from the church)
And from the evil of their deeds.
This really is a horrible picture my friends. It will make you sick to your stomach just like it made most of the Prophets sick to their stomachs once this truth was revealed to them. Once Daniel was shown the end time judgment and “got it”, he was sick and exhausted for days. It really is a horror and a terrible thing to fall into the hands of the Living God. God loves us for sure, but He is a consuming fire and above all He is a Holy God. To know God, we must fear God.
Daniel 8:27 Then I, Daniel, was exhausted and sick for days Then I got up again and carried on the king’s business; but I was astounded at the vision, and there was none to explain it.
Mystery of Lawlessness
The mystery of lawlessness is not simply that there is a devil. The mystery is much deeper than that and pertains to the powers of darkness, the magnitude of these forces, the whirling tempest of God and how God uses them to test our hearts and bring discipline and ultimately final judgment upon us if we stay in rebellion to God. The powers of darkness are here to keep us on the straight and narrow path to salvation, but we need to understand them and know about them to receive the signals their operation in our lives can provide.
2 Thessalonians 2:6-8 And you know what restrains him now, so that in his time he will be revealed. 7For the mystery of lawlessness is already at work; only he who now restrains will do so until he is taken out of the way. 8Then that lawless one will be revealed whom the Lord will slay with the breath of His mouth and bring to an end by the appearance of His coming
I by no means have all of this figured out. I am sharing what has been shown to me because it will radically change your view of God and sin once you see it. You will also develop spiritual eyes to see what is really going on and know that the day of Judgment is near, at our very door. I am not sitting idle or going to hide in a cave and neither should you. I am trusting God to see me through the tribulations and eagerly look forward to the eternity ahead.
The wise men of religion will never see or understand the Mystery of Lawlessness. Wise men are in love with their religion and the selfish gain they secretly seek and obtain from their place of honor amongst men. Wise men go around telling you to ignore the devil and create lies such as “Christians can’t have demons”, “God doesn’t cause evil”, “healing and the spiritual gifts are not for today”, “be secure in your faith as you can’t lose your salvation”, ”there is no need to fear God” and “It’s okay to sin, everyone does it and God forgave all sins on the cross”. This is dragon speak coming from men that look like lambs. This is the flood of deceit that is sweeping away the unrighteous and ungodly in preparation for the return of the Lord.
Seek Jesus Not Religion for Wisdom
If we seek Christ and truly put Him first, we don’t need to go to Bible School and we don’t need to be taught by any man. God Himself will teach us, He is the ONE TEACHER. Just as it is written in the Prophets, which Jesus knew and often quoted, the true Sons of God will be taught by God.
John 6:45 It is written in the prophets, ‘AND THEY SHALL ALL BE TAUGHT OF GOD.’ Everyone who has heard and learned from the Father, comes to Me.
Paul must have seemed a tad arrogant to the overtly religious in the early church. In this infamous Chapter about spiritual discernment, Paul reiterates the wisdom and knowledge of the natural man that is operating in the flesh. Such wisdom is not Godly wisdom and is foolishnes to God. Flesh cannot understand or see the mysteries of God, it is a gift of the Holy Spirit.
1 Cor 2:14 But a natural man does not accept the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; and he cannot understand them, because they are spiritually appraised.
I hope the Lord is speaking to you privately, like He did the Disciples in the opening verse. This is how you are going to see truth and hear His voice. Seek Him and He will answer and come to you if you do it with pure motives of love and knowing Him.

If I may share what God has shown me,in all humbleness, if we may consider the following also.
At one time ,I desired the theologians of this world , to teach me the things of God.
Those people steeped in ‘ religious ‘ education ,who had degrees in theology studies.
My friends , I would now look at the humble janitor who is sweeping the floor in Mcdonalds instead of the seminary graduates, for the Lords presence and understanding.
Jesus after being baptised was “full ” of the Holy Spirit, at which time he was then led into the wilderness.
The Holy Spirit , the Spirit of Truth, did not leed Jesus to the nearest “religious” establishment ran by the pharisee’s, like those who say they have received the “calling” of today.
The Spirit led Jesus to the wilderness, because thats where all of the people were at spiritualy.
All of the “kingdoms of the world ” were shown Jesus in a moment of time in the “wilderness.”
Remember the people in Mose’s day, they also were in a natural and spiritual wilderness.
All these sin stained “Kingdoms” of satan , were the spirits of men, that were in his possesion.
Jesus said the kingdom of heaven is within you, and satan wanted him to bow down to him , and said he would “give” ownership of these ” Kingdoms ‘ to Jesus.
First off, the devil is a taker and not a giver, second, Jesus would purchase these spiritual kingdoms of man back, through the sacrifice of physical body.
And through the process of spiritual rebirth, restore those sin stained kingdoms, to there former state, for those who accept him as Lord and saviour and enter into covenant with him.
Friends, we must have the wisdom of God by faith in him, to sacrifice these bodies of flesh, to enter into covenant and eternal life with him.
The carnal intellect of man cannot understand this.
The religious wise men will not see it , only those who are connected to him by faith will .
Satan stands at the top( head ) of the temple ( body ) and wants us to throw Christ from his position of rulership , we cannot allow this to happen.
God let us have the spiritual wisdom and eyes to see the true spiritual battleground.

Pete: Very true, so many think they are wise, but they are wise in their own eyes, not in the eyes of the Lord. I, like you do not know,or have all the answers,nor do I prefess to knowing everything. What knowledge I do have, I have because Jesus chose to reveal it to me. I am reminded of the time when Jesus was arrested, and brought before the Sanhedren, and the High Priest “Caipheus”. They thought that the Messiah would be comeing in glory, so they used the fact that He came as a “poor” carpenter as their argument. Nickodemus is the one who said “who are we to say that God can’t choose whom He wishes, even a poor carpenter from Nazerath”. They did not understand the prophecy, they were blind, the powers of darkness were at work even then. It is the same today, there are those that think they are learned, and wise, but they do not see. Jesus chooses those in whom He will reveal the truth, and it doesn’t matter how rich, poor, or wretched they may be. When Jesus comes in all His Glory, I can guarantee that there will be a lot of jaw dropping going on. The seperation is going on as we speak, He is seperating the wheat from the tares, and the sheep from the goats. As spoken by John the Baptist, “His rod is in His hand, and He will cleanse the threshing floor.” All evil will be taken out of the world. You, dear children, are from God and have overcome them, because the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world. They are from the world and therefore speak from the viewpoint of the world, and the world listens to them. We are from God, and whoever knows God listens to us; but whoever is not from God does not listen to us. This is how we recognise the Spirit of truth and the spirit of falsehood. (1Jn. 4)
The waters were divided, and the Israelites went through the sea on dry ground, with a
wall of water on their right and on their left. (Ex. 14:22)
We have overcome them by knowing that they from the world. The mystery of passing through the sea is for us as well, they are the wall of waters but we overcome them or pass through them. Let us continue to seek God and the truth in Jesus…

This “study” word is very worldly and we have to avoid this but rather seek God. This is why the Lord prophesied that the Gentiles will trampled Jerusalem. This is figuratively the church (Jerusalem) which will be infiltrated by unbelievers or not serious believers that use “study” as their tool and make disciples to follow them.
He said to them, “You are the ones who justify yourselves in the eyes of men, but God knows your hearts. What is highly valued among men is detestable in God’s sight. (Lk. 16:15)
What do people value today? Fame or to be known? but these are all detestable in God’s sight. They like to be called scholars, pastors, reverend and bishops but it contradicts to the sound teaching which is humility.
You diligently study the Scriptures because you think that by them you possess eternal life. These are the Scriptures that testify about me, yet you refuse to come to me to have life. (Jn. 5:39-40)
Those who diligently studying the scriptures are those who refuses to come to Jesus.
They are the kind who worm their way into homes and gain control over weak-willed women, who are loaded down with sins and are swayed by all kinds of evil desires, always learning but never able to acknowledge the truth. (2Ti. 3:6-7)

I couldn’t agree more with this article. I know many people who go to Church every week. There is quite a number of them who are very educated (in a worldly sense). They will flash all their knowledge around and compete for who the smartest is but when I begin to speak about spiritual things with them, they attempt to expose me as someone with little intellegence.
