Awaken and Walk Like Jesus
The Lord has begun to speak to me again. This week He spoke as I awoke on a couple of mornings. I awoke on 1/22/10 repeating two passages of Scripture. These Scripture references were on my lips yet I had no mental recall of the passages that were flowing from my lips. I immediately went to the Word and looked up these two passages and was stunned.
1 John 2:6
NIV Whoever claims to live in him must walk as Jesus did
NKJV He who says he abides in Him ought himself also to walk just as He walked
Romans 13:11
NIV And do this, understanding the present time. The hour has come for you to wake up from your slumber, because our salvation is nearer now than when we first believed
NJKV And do this, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep; for now our salvation is nearer than when we first believed.
This is a chilling message and a warning my brothers. First as it relates to Romans 13:11, time is nigh. Jesus is coming very soon. The Judge stands at the door ready to enter. Are you ready? Salvation is near for those that have prepared themselves and are walking in a true faith, practicing righteousness, just as He our LORD is righteous. We all know what happens to the foolish virgins who were sleeping and did not have oil in their lamps. They were shutout from the kingdom of God even though they believed intellectually that Jesus was LORD. Please read this parable in Matthew 25 and I pray God will reveal truth to you and you will arise from your slumber and any practice of false religion or hypocrisy.
The first epistle of John is one of my favorites in the Scriptures. It is a powerful message of love and truth providing many litmus tests of one’s professed faith in God. Most Christians are just tares, look-alike pretenders, that may be outwardly religious and have a form of godliness but deny the power of God to transform them into a new creation. They walk double minded, never die to the flesh, do not fear God and are in fact the harlots and adulteresses spoken of throughout the Old and New Testament. But God gave me this message to warn ME and to warn YOU.
I am doing a lot of things right for the first time in my life yet I am still holding on to a few worldly things. God is telling me I need to lay them down and walk as Jesus walked. Jesus only did what the Father told Him. He did nothing on His own initiative. He was obedient to the point of death and we need to DIE ALSO, to ourselves and our flesh. That is how we are born again but first we must die! I have not fully and absolutely crucified the deeds of the flesh but I am getting there and I am striving and aiming for perfection. Do you think Jesus had a different goal walking the earth in the flesh?
Jesus walked this earth in THE FLESH. He had drained himself of all deity. Jesus was a mere man on this earth, even though He was and is God Almighty. Jesus was led by the Spirit of God and that is where ALL His power came from. This is the mystery of Godliness. Anyone that denies Jesus walked as a man in the flesh is following the spirit of the Antichrist. All kinds of doctrines of demons arise when one denies Jesus walked in the FLESH. This is a stunning truth and I have a post coming in the next day on this. Don’t throw rocks at me just yet — wait until you see the Scriptures.
If we are to see the Lord, we must walk as Jesus walked. We must pursue peace and holiness or else nobody shall see the Lord.
Hebrews 12:14 Pursue peace with all people, and holiness, without which no one will see the Lord
God has been showing me the depths of apostasy and the falling away in the so-called church. Scales have come off my eyes. The Word is exploding with revelation and I hunger and thirst for more of it. I lament over the astonishing truth about the state of church. It proves we are in the end times and God’s return is VERY SOON. It was one of the chief and most often repeated signs to be looking for to know the season of God’s return.
I felt led by God to share this message. I am a big skeptic of many that claim to hear from God so I do not lightly put this out here. But I must. I have NOT come here tooting my horn and boasting that I hear from God. This is offered in love for the brethren and I hope it is received by those who have ears to hear it.
