God’s Judgment: He Will Shake the Nations

God's Judgment is Near
The apostate church is a church system that has fallen away from the truth of God’s Word. They do not follow or teach sound doctrine but instead following after their own man-made traditions. One of the key indicators we would be in the end times was that the professing church would be fallen away and living lawlessly. That is where we are today, but that is not the purpose of this message as I have written on that topic often enough. My purpose here is to speak to the pending judgment of God and tie that in to the false security being promoted in the apostate church. Believers need to be fully equipped to endure what is about to come and patiently wait upon the Lord. That is how we will all overcome what will soon come to pass.
The Judgment of God is as important a topic for the church as is the death and resurrection of the Lord Jesus. Jesus is our perfect Savior, but do you know what – He is also a perfect Judge. Our Lord is both the Savior and the Judge. We cannot know Him without knowing His full essence. Peter when speaking to Cornelius’s family, the first Gentile converts, mentioned Jesus’ role as Judge first and foremost.
Acts 10:42 And He commanded us to preach to the people, and to testify that it is He who was ordained by God to be Judge of the living and the dead. Or considering Jesus describing His Second Coming and the judgment He will bring. Christ will separate the saved from the unsaved or as said here the sheep from the goats.
Matthew 25:31-32 When the Son of Man comes in His glory, and all the holy angels with Him, then He will sit on the throne of His glory. 32 All the nations will be gathered before Him, and He will separate them one from another, as a shepherd divides his sheep from the goats.
People want to be saved, they do not want to be judged; but God indeed does both. This is not a popular message to those that are falsely secure in their faith. The flesh is hostile to God, it cannot please Him we are told. The gospel of Jesus Christ does not please flesh if it is properly presented. The flesh loves to hear the gospel that cuts out the parts about judgment, dying to self, paying a price and being a bondservant of the LORD. As a result we have very popular pastors preaching an ear tickling message that are counting their numbers and boasting about all the good work they are doing for God. They are creating tares and putting sheep on the road to destruction.
People playing church, acting religious and operating under the delusion of eternal security and “peace & safety” will not take kindly to a truthful message of judgment. Many have hardened their hearts and therefore God has blinded them to the truth and they cannot receive the implanted word of God. Very little is said in most churches about God’s judgment. My local church never speaks to this from the pulpit or on anything that can be remotely perceived as “negative”. There seems to be an attitude that it is not nice to talk about the wrath of God and by doing so we will run people off from the church. Those that do speak out about the truth regarding God’s judgment are widely ridiculed as heretics and unloving or judgmental of all things. Yet those being ridiculed and rejected are doing the very work God has instructed us to do. Remember what Jesus said about being liked!
Luke 6:26 Woe to you when all men speak well of you, for that is how their fathers treated the false prophets.
The Scriptures prophesied about an ever declining morality and increase in evil and lawlessness. All of this would precede the unveiling of God’s wrath upon the disobedient culminating in the return of the Lord on the Last Day. We are past the point of crisis, the disaster has already come upon us but most are simply blind to the truth. The catastrophe of God’s judgment is at our very door and time to repent and turn to God with our whole heart, and forsake the ways of the world is rapidly closing. Just as in the days of Noah, once the Master shuts the door, it will not be reopened and those on the outside will be taken away and destroyed.
God Will Shake Everything
The Prophet Haggai said that God would shake everything including all nations. My nation, the USA is clearly being shaken and I am afraid it is being shaken totally out of a foundation built upon God’s truth. God help us.
Haggai 2:6-7 “This is what the LORD Almighty says: ‘In a little while I will once more shake the heavens and the earth, the sea and the dry land. 7 I will shake all nations, and the desired of all nations will come, and I will fill this house with glory,’ says the LORD Almighty.
God will fill His house as the Parable of the Wedding Feast (Matthew 22:1-12) makes clear. When the going gets tough, those with a pure heart for God will come to fill His house. That time is now my friends.
The writer of Hebrews referenced the Prophet Haggai writings but expanded upon them, telling us that the purpose of the shaking in the end is to identify all that cannot be shaken. When God shakes everything, what cannot be shaken will be readily evident. What cannot be shaken is anything founded wholly on the Lord, the rock eternal.
Hebrews 12:26-27 “Once more I will shake not only the earth but also the heavens.” 27The words “once more” indicate the removing of what can be shaken—that is, created things—so that what cannot be shaken may remain.
God is already shaking things. Individual lives are in distress. Lawlessness abounds and the love of many has waxed cold. People are standing on foundations of sand, and as the torrent (flood) moves in, they are being destroyed because of unrepentant hearts and lack of knowledge of the truth. Religious institutions are being shaken, they are quarrelling amongst themselves, building their own towers into heaven (like Babel) and have departed the path of righteousness and truth. Governments are being shaken, just look at the sorry state of politics in America and the unrest the demise of the US is bringing to the whole world. We should not be looking to anything except a true faith in God for our security.
None of this other stuff will last much longer, they are all foundations of sand. If you are holding on to any of these things for security, God does not have your whole heart and you need to repent as time is short. NOBODY is exempt from the shaking, both rich and poor, believer and non believer will be shaken to test where their foundation really lies. This excerpt from Isaiah 24:1-6 reinforces what Jesus said that the gate is very narrow and very few shall find it. Isaiah was prophesying about God’s Judgment in the end times.
Behold, the LORD makes the earth empty and makes it waste,
Distorts its surface
And scatters abroad its inhabitants.
2 And it shall be:
As with the people, so with the priest;
As with the servant, so with his master;
As with the maid, so with her mistress;
As with the buyer, so with the seller;
As with the lender, so with the borrower;
As with the creditor, so with the debtor.
3 The land shall be entirely emptied and utterly plundered,
For the LORD has spoken this word.
4 The earth mourns and fades away,
The world languishes and fades away;
The haughty people of the earth languish.
5 The earth is also defiled under its inhabitants,
Because they have transgressed the laws,
Changed the ordinance,
Broken the everlasting covenant.
6 Therefore the curse has devoured the earth,
And those who dwell in it are desolate.
Therefore the inhabitants of the earth are burned,
And few men are left.
God’s wrath is coming because men have broken covenant with God. We call evil good and good evil. Instead of judging righteous judgment in the name of tolerance, fairness, equality and ”love”, we have destroyed the family, the sanctity of life, and the purity of Godly worship. We have become as a society, lovers of ourselves, lovers of money/possessions and lovers of pleasure. We have perverted the word of God, creating false God’s and images, many in the name of Jesus but which are fake and are an abomination to the Lord. Paul wrote to Timothy and said these things would be happening in the last days.
2 Timothy 3:1-6 But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come: 2 For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, 3 unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, despisers of good, 4 traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, 5 having a form of godliness but denying its power. And from such people turn away!
This passage ends with a command to turn away from such people. Such people are people living in the world. That includes people professing to be Christians. Most of the church today, has a different gospel than the one Jesus or the Apostles gave and worship a different Jesus from the one I now worship. I know because I have come out from among them. That is who I was for my entire life. But thank God He called me out of this pit.
The Wrath of the Lamb
While Jesus is the Lamb of God, who takes away the sins of the world. Jesus is also the Lamb of God, who brings judgment upon the world. When judgment comes men will attempt to hide their face from the wrath of the Lamb. Since the fear of God has been done away with in the teachings of the Apostate church, most Christians think of Jesus only as a loving Savior. While this is a wonderful truth, and the hope by which we come to repentance and seek His rest, the whole council of God must be preached.
Jesus is God and He alone is our judge. Vengeance is mine saith the Lord, God the consuming fire will repay all evil (sin) not repented of and put under the blood of the cross.
Revelation 6:13-17 And the stars of heaven fell to the earth, as a fig tree drops its late figs when it is shaken by a mighty wind. 14 Then the sky receded as a scroll when it is rolled up, and every mountain and island was moved out of its place. 15 And the kings of the earth, the great men, the rich men, the commanders, the mighty men, every slave and every free man, hid themselves in the caves and in the rocks of the mountains, 16 and said to the mountains and rocks, “Fall on us and hide us from the face of Him who sits on the throne and from the WRATH of the Lamb! 17 For the great day of His wrath has come, and who is able to stand?”
What We Must Do
Peter spoke of God’s judgment, the day of the Lord, and tells us three things we should be doing as we wait upon the Lord and His return.
2 Peter 3:10-12 But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night, in which the heavens will pass away with a great noise, and the elements will melt with fervent heat; both the earth and the works that are in it will be burned up.11 Therefore, since all these things will be dissolved, what manner of persons ought you to be in holy conduct and godliness, 12 looking for and hastening the coming of the day of God, because of which the heavens will be dissolved, being on fire, and the elements will melt with fervent heat?
It goes without saying that we are to walk as Jesus walked. That is the goal of a Christian life here on earth. Jesus was tempted in all the ways we are yet was without sin. Jesus did nothing on His own initiative but only did that which the Father told Him to do. Our challenge is to do the same. By our conduct (fruits) will we be known. What comes out of our mouths is the overflow of our hearts. Are we yielding Holy fruit that comes from true repentance and a pure heart or are we yielding the fruits of the flesh which is death?
Interesting that Peter told us we were to hasten (speed up) God’s coming. What I believe Peter was referring to here is our call to preach the good news (not just the parts we like, but the whole council of God) to the nations. Recall that in the Olivet Discourse, Jesus rattled off a large list of signs that would point to His return being imminent. He concluded that list of signs with this one.
Matthew 24:14 And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come
If we are truly in Christ, we will have peace and no fear about the tribulation going on all around us. So many people are stressed out, they are not enduring well through these perilous times. Yet it is going to get much worse, the shaking has only just begun.
If you are standing on the rock of salvation, the foundation of Christ and your pure devotion to Him in your heart; then you are ready my friend and fear not what is going on around you. If however, you are not on the rock, but instead have a foundation built into sand, you are in danger of getting shaken out of your faith as the wrath of God begins to pour out on the earth. There is still time repent and get your heart right with God. But know this, our enemy is working overtime to steal, destroy and kill God’s people.
It is amazing to watch people lose their peace over the most trivial of matters — yet the real shaking and tribulation has not even begun. I see my loved ones doing this and it pains me but the knowledge of this can only come from God and they are not yet ready to receive it. I am not boasting of my peace and by no means do I invite any testing from God. As I have said before, I am no prophet, I am a mere man; one God called out of the pit of hell. Why I do not know, as I deserve none of it; but I am thankful and grateful for the grace shown to me. It is amazing the clarity of eyesight that God will give us when we come to Him with our whole heart. Like the song Amazing Grace says, I once was blind but now I see. I used to sing that but never really grasped the meaning the song writer intended.
The world by and large is the blind leading the blind, and both are heading straight towards a pit. Judgment is coming and a phony “religious” faith will not save us. Listen and pay heed to what Jesus, our Judge told us about the resurrection of the dead.
John 5:24-30 “Most assuredly, I say to you, he who hears My word and believes in Him who sent Me has everlasting life, and shall not come into judgment, but has passed from death into life. 25 Most assuredly, I say to you, the hour is coming, and now is, when the dead will hear the voice of the Son of God; and those who hear will live. 26 For as the Father has life in Himself, so He has granted the Son to have life in Himself, 27 and has given Him authority to execute judgment also, because He is the Son of Man. 28 Do not marvel at this; for the hour is coming in which all who are in the graves will hear His voice 29 and come forth—those who have done good, to the resurrection of life, and those who have done evil, to the resurrection of condemnation. 30 I can of Myself do nothing. As I hear, I judge; and My judgment is righteous, because I do not seek My own will but the will of the Father who sent Me.
I pray the Lord will be patient and give us time so that the light of Christ may shine through and awaken the many that are sleeping. Our Judge is near, standing at the very door. The shaking that is here now and will ratchet up is a warning and test for all of us. Now is the time to prepare and make sure our hearts are right with God. What foundation are you standing on? Do not put your faith or trust in anything but Christ.
Isaiah 26:4 Trust in the LORD forever,
for the LORD, the LORD, is the Rock eternal
May God Bless You Richly!
PS – A special tribute to a beloved and now deceased brother in Christ. Derek Prince was an amazing man of God and his teachings greatly contributed to the understanding that has been put forth in the above message.
I just wanted to say thank you for this article that has affirmed so much of what i believed the Lord was showing me through His word and through dreams even! I too worshipped a “different Jesus”. It was two years ago that in desperation from a deep addction to drugs that I cryed out to God and it was as if God revealed who he was and I was shown for who I really was a rotten evil sinner. I praise Him for that because without it i never really had repented. Previous years before i was under the impression that Jesus makes your life better here and that by coming to Him and asking for forgiveness my life would get better but it didnt. No one ever showed me im a sinner through the ten commandments, no one but God that is. Your absolutley right we need to preach repentance and show them they are sinners through the ten commandments otherwise like me you really dont have a clue what your asking forgiveness for because i came wanting a better life. It was after I cryed out with complete abandon that God revealed Himself and His light shined on my darkness and i was exposed ,i heard in my heart a voice say REPENT! I did and started my relationship with Him. Thanks again
Declaration of Independence from Abortion
We need to come to a time as Citizens of the United States of America where we take a fresh look and a Divine perspective at our Declaration of Independence.
We need to ask ourselves, the President, the Supreme Court, US Congress, and and other Americans the following question: Does the right to Life, Liberty, and the pursuit of Happiness in the United States begin at conception?
Genesis 4:1 Now Adam knew Eve his wife, and she conceived and bore Cain, and said, “I have acquired a man from the LORD.” We need to ask our pulic and private school teachers and staff the following question: Did the life of the first clild begin at conception in the womb of Eve, wife of Adam?
Luke 1:31 And behold, you will conceive in your womb and bring forth a Son, and shall call His name JESUS.
Let us look at some Webster’s dictionary definitions. Conception: The act of conceiving or being conceived. Conceive: To become pregnant.
Pregnant: Containing unborn young within the body.
Thus, when conception occurs a woman becomes pregnant and there is unborn young within her body. What does abortion do? It is an act of humanity that terminates the life of the unborn young prematurely. The result is death of the unborn young.
Women’s Rights? What about the right to Life for the unborn young? Many of whom would grow up to become women, the rest would become men. Instead of abortion, we have a solution that saves life. It is called adoption. Is your life in danger because of pregnancy? Seek the nearest prolife clinic. There are people there who would be glad to help you successfully through your difficult time alive.
There is coming a time in the United States that we need to declare our independence from abortion. We need to take a stand and throw off the shackles of death for the unborn young and embrace life. We need to start this process by asking the above questions and many more of our fellow Americans. Who knows if they will give an honest answer or sidestep your questions? Please ask them anyway, then pray for wisdom when they give a response. As a nation, I believe there is coming a time when we give the right to Life, Liberty, and the pursuit of Happiness to all unborn young living in America, or we suffer the fate of a nation that is accumulating national debt that will bring us to bankruptcy as an act of judgement from the Creator of Life.
How does one link national bankruptcy with national pro abortion laws. Abortion is an action by humanity that is contrary to the sixth commandment of God. Thou shall not murder (Exodus 20:13). When a nation sets up laws contrary to God’s laws it runs the risk of judgement from God. Read in the Bible how God dealt with nations that turned their backs on Him.
Since we made Roe V. Wade a Supreme Court ruling our national debt has gone from around 444 billion dollars to the trillions of dollars and is still climbing.
Will our nation and our Supreme Court throw off Roe V. Wade and become prolife? These coming days are important in answering that question. Let us band together while we still can and nationally declare our independence from abortion. It is still not too late.
END ABORTION NATIONALLY OR FACE NATIONAL BANKRUPTCY
John 3:16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.
II Chronicles 7:14 if My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.
Psalm 119:37 Righteous are You, O LORD, And upright are Your judgments.
