More Words of Apostles

March 13, 2009
bible1I broke my post on Words of the Apostles into two posts given the length.  Sorry but there are so many verses to support the Words of Jesus.  Please read Words of The Apostles which is part 1 of this post but be sure to be read Words of Jesus which starts this entire series by clicking the links shown.

My purpose of this series of posts is to highlight key passages of the Apostles that confirm and validate the very words of Jesus as recorded in the gospels.  I remain appalled at the twisting of the scriptures by the vast majority of teachers.  The Apostles merely validated what Christ taught them, they did not teach another gospel.  Sadly, the words of the Apostles have been twisted, especially those of Paul to teach error.  Peter called this the error of the wicked.

1 Timothy 4:1 -The Spirit clearly says that in later times some will abandon the faith and follow deceiving spirits and things taught by demons.”  This is what is happening right now and will accellerate in the next few years.  When the tribulation ramps up and no rapture occurs, the faith of many will be shaken and they will fall away.  There is no Once Saved Always Saved or Eternal Security.  If we do not endure to the end we will not be saved said Jesus.

Titus 2:11-13  For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men,  teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly in the present age,  looking for the blessed hope and glorious appearing of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ,  who gave Himself for us, that He might redeem us from every lawless deed and purify for Himself His own special people, zealous for good works.  Grace is the enabler of our salvation.  It is not the license to sin many believe it is.  While they won’t admit they believe grace is a license to sin, because they believe their sin doesn’tmatter that is exactly what they believe, they are just mincing words.  Look at these words carefully.  Grace TEACHES us to deny ungodliness. Another words it teaches us to OBEY JESUS to secure salvation which is exactly what Jesus told us when He said “If anyman wants to come after Me, he needs to pick up his cross daily and DENY himself”.  If we do not DENY ourselves, we are not following Christ and are walking the broad path to destruction and will not be part of the “few” Jesus said would find the narrow gate.

1 Timothy 5:20 “Those who continue in sin, rebuke in the presence of all, so that the rest also may be fearful of sinning”. We should indeed be fearful of continued sin as God hates sin and will judge us all for our deeds.  We must fear God and obey His commandments if we expect to be saved.  This is what King Solomon, told us was the whole duty of man.  What is there to be fearful of sinning for is a question I would like to ask the false teachers of OSAS and eternal security?

2 Timothy 4:3-4 For the time will come when men will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear. They will turn their ears away from the truth and turn aside to myths.”    This statement by Paul is bible prophecy fullfilled.  Most preachers are telling congregants what they want to hear rather than the truth about God.  They don’t want to hear they will go to hell for continued sin.  They don’t want to hear they need to suffer in the flesh and carry a cross daily.  They don’t want to hear they will endure trials of many kinds and tribulation.  What they do want to hear is that their sin does not matter, they are saved by grace, all they have do is believe in Jesus as the Savior and their security is sealed and they can live life how they please, be their own Lord and take pleasure in their sin.  They can’t possibly read the bible or they have been blinded by God on purpose since their hearts have taken pleasure in sowing unrighteousness.  When tribulation ramps up and there is no rapture, many will fall away and turn against their brothers in a fight for survival.  Jesus told us so in Matthew 24.

Jude 4 “For certain men whose condemnation was written about long ago have secretly slipped in among you. They are godless men, who change the grace of our God into a license for immorality and deny Jesus Christ our only Sovereign and Lord.”   Woe to these false teachers.  You deny Christ when you teach sin doesn’t matter.  That was why he came, to take away the sins of the world by defeating the works of the devil.  He did that by His grace which enables us; giving us both the desire and the means to be obedient.  Wake up church, your judge is standing at our door.

Hebrews 5:9 And having been perfected, He became the author of eternal salvation to all who obey Him. Salvation has conditions.  You always hear all these wonderful sermons about the Jesus being the author of our salvation, or the Captain, but you rarely hear the second part of that story, which are the conditions God laid out for obedience.

Hebrews 10:26 If we deliberately keep on sinning after we have received the knowledge of the truth, no sacrifice for sins is left,  but only a fearful expectation of judgment and of raging fire that will consume the enemies of God.  A very fearful verse , totally consistent with Jesus calls to pluck out our eyes, cut off our hands or our feet if it causes us to sin and telling us it is better to enter heaven without eyes, hands or feet than to be thrown into the lake of fire.  Paul said it is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the Living God.  We best be holy and as spotless as we can be when that happens.  If we are not aiming for perfection, we are aiming for hell.

Hebrews 12:14 Pursue peace with all men and holiness, without which no one shall see the LordThis verse speaks for itself and I have spoken about it at length in prior posts.  Want to see the Lord, we need to follow His rules and meet His conditions.

James 2:25  But someone will say, “You have faith; I have deeds.”    Show me your faith without deeds, and I will show you my faith by what I do.  Faith alone does not save you.  James said exactly what everyone else said in the Bible yet some try to rationalize this verse as saying something else.  Ignore it and all the other scriptures and conditions laid out by Jesus at your own peril.

James 4:4-5 Do you not know that friendship with the world is enmity with God? Whoever therefore wants to be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of God.  Live like the world you are not a Christian.  If it walks like a pagan, talks like a pagan, it must indeed be a pagan and not a Christian says God.

1 Peter 4:1-2 For as much then as Christ hath suffered for us in the flesh, arm yourselves likewise with the same mind: for he that hath suffered in the flesh hath ceased from sin; That he no longer should live the rest of his time in the flesh to the lusts of men, but to the will of God.  We must suffer like Christ suffered and cease from sin to do the will of God.  We should at least be aiming for perfection and fall back with true repentance when we stumble.

2 Peter 2:4-10 For if God did not spare the angels who sinned, but cast them down to hell and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved for judgment;  and did not spare the ancient world, but saved Noah, one of eight people, a preacher of righteousness, bringing in the flood on the world of the ungodly;  and turning the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah into ashes, condemned them to destruction, making them an example to those who afterward would live ungodly;  and delivered righteous Lot, who was oppressed by the filthy conduct of the wicked —  then the Lord knows how to deliver the godly out of temptations and to reserve the unjust under punishment for the day of judgment,  and especially those who walk according to the flesh in the lust of uncleanness and despise authority.

2 Peter 20-22 If they have escaped the corruption of the world by knowing our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and are again entangled in it and overcome, they are worse off at the end than they were at the beginning. It would have been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than to have known it and then to turn their backs on the sacred command that was passed on to them” Let me ask a question. How can someone be worse off then they were at the beginning if they are once saved, then get entangled with the world? It is because they then are lost (not saved) and Jesus tells us several places that those who knew the truth and then reject it, will have an even more severe punishment than those that never knew the way of the truth to begin with.

2 Peter 3:17 Therefore, dear friends, since you have been forewarned, be on your guard so that you may not be carried away by the error of the lawless and fall from your secure position.  The error of the lawless is the error that says sins does not matter after you come to faith in Christ.  No eternal security here, Peter nor Jesus nor Paul taught that.  That is a doctrine of men or worse demons.

1 John 3:7 Little children, make sure no one deceives you; the one who practices righteousness is righteous, just as He is righteous.  DO NOT BE DECEIVED.  Do you understand this simple message here.  Nowhere does the bible say we can keep on sinning and reap eternal life.  We will be judged by our deeds not our faith.  (2 Cor 5, Rev 22, Jn 5, etc) We can’t obey without faith, as it is because of grace that we are saved.  Grace is the desire to please God and the means to do it.

1 John 3:8-9 He who sins is of the devil, for the devil has sinned from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that He might destroy the works of the devil.  Whoever has been born of God does not sin, for His seed remains in him; and he cannot sin, because he has been born of God.  Some like to cherry pick John 1:8 to make a point about sin, but they fail to grasp the whole counsel of God contained in this my favorite Epistle.  If we practice sin, we are not a son of God, we are a child of the devil and our place will be in the lake of fire.

2 Tim 3:1-5 But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come: For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, despisers of good, traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, having a form of godliness but denying its power. And from such people turn away. Christianity, the true kind is a powerful Christianity.  God gave us power, it comes from grace to obey Him.  If we are truly Born Again, we have something even better, a desire to obey Him.  Anyone teaching you that you have no power or ability to be obedient is deceived my friend.  We cannot play religion, we must practice our true faith.

May God Bless You Richly!!!

    Pete,

It would help if you used the AV or KJV.

2 Peter 3:17 Therefore, dear friends, since you have been forewarned, be on your guard so that you may not be carried away by the error of the lawless and fall from your secure position

You verse of 2 Peter is in error, notice:

You underlined “secure position”; no such words in the bible; KJV bible:

2 Peter 3:17 Ye therefore, beloved, seeing ye know these things before, beware lest ye also, being led away with the error of the wicked, fall from your own stedfastness.

That’s a whole lot different than “secure position”. Your version reads as if God have given you a secure position and you fell from it. Not true at all! All this verse is stating is that there shall be false teachers; hence beware of them lest ye fall into error.

1 Timothy 4:1 Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils; (KJV)

You may depart from the faith. That doesn’t mean you’ve lost your salvation. Remember “just Lot”. God spoke to Abraham about the righteous in Sodom-Lot who departed from the “faith”.

    Hebrews 5:9 And being made perfect, he became the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey him;

Did you obey Him in being born again? Then you ARE the “obedient”. You couldn’t possibly obey all the commandments in the bible. It’s impossible. Only Jesus Christ could do such a thing. Have you loved your neighbor as yourself? Really? I think not.

Notice: CANNOT SIN! But, Pete, you admit that you sin. Since there is not contradiction in the bible this can only mean the INNER MAN!!

Pete, using another version of the bible other than the KJV is error. All these other bibles are saying different things. My God is not the author of confusion. Stick with the old KJV.

Please understand I’m not stating that you should sin. Just the opposite. And I appreciate your understanding of those that say they are Christians YET outright and publicly sin. It’s frustrating but that doesn’t mean they aren’t saved.

That’s what the church is for: discipline. Then God will hand them over to the devil for punishment of the flesh. 1 Corinthians 5:5 To deliver such an one unto Satan for the destruction of the flesh, that the spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord Jesus.

    Pete,

    Hello, my friend.

You are still confusing the context of your verses. When God speaks of “lawlessness” He is speaking in the context of the unsaved. For example: Frank Lodgson was part of a team that came up with the NASB. He later realized his error and repented, in writing. BUT…the bible states:

Revelation 22:19 And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.

Notice, “any man”. Now here’s the 64 dollar question, was Frank Lodgson saved when he died? Does “any man” refer to the saved in this verse and context?

Of course, he was saved when he died! We can’t spin the bible on it’s head. Mr. Lodgson was saved and secure based upon the above scriptures I’ve posted. The moment you are saved you have “passed from death unto life”. Or can you go back to death? Never! The bible never states that. You can’t be a “citizen of heaven” and then not be a citizen. Do Jesus’ words mean anything?

This is why we must cling to the bible and the exact words of Christ in their correct context. This is why we have eternal security, “once saved always saved”. It’s not a license to do anything you want-although you do that anyways.

It’s a flesh vs spirit battle. You’ll always be a sinner-no matter what word spin you put on your sin. But the inner man is always saved, secure, sealed forever! This is what you are waiting for. Your waiting for your earth suit to go away with it’s sin.

I’m not cherry picking verses. I’ve read the bible over and over. Like I stated before even the wicked Corinthians were called, “brothers”;” honourable”; “sons in Christ” et al.

    Love ya Pete,

    Dave

Thanks David, I will take a deeper look at your scriptures here but we need to be careful and not pick and choose thru the WORD. I can already see some passages here that are usually cherry picked and woven together to the ignorance of others to create the cotton candy gospel.

No I have not stopped sinning, but I have stopped practicing sin. There is no sin that I do that I am not convicted of by the HS, made aware of but then go rationalize that it is okay to keep doing it because I am saved by grace. Do I boast in that? Absolutely not, I WAS a wretch, I FORMERLY practiced sin, I USED to do these things, but I do not any longer praise be to the grace of God. The power of God working in me is the grace of God, It is not me, it is the spirit of God inside of me.

My aim is for perfection. I am striving to be perfect out of love for my Father in heaven who is perfect. Jesus is my Lord and I fear Him and want to do what He tells me to do and His Spirit tells me not to sin. Have I attained to perfection? NO, but I press on to maturity and I am working out my salvation with fear and trembling.

If we practice sin and say we are Born of God, we are a liar and the truth is not in us. This is how we know who the children of God are and the children of the devil. He who practices sin is not of God. Jesus said He will say to many that call Him Lord “depart from me, you who practice lawlessness”.

The Romans 7 verses I see a different context than what you suggest. Paul had just told us the metaphor about the old man dying. If our old man does not die, we are a harlot if we claim to be married to Jesus. This was pre conversion Paul being referenced here as the rest of Paul’s writings attest.

I receive your comments and thank you for them and your commitment to Jesus.

  4. July 17, 2010 9:23 AM

Correct my friend about passing from death to life. But you must stay firmly planted on the Rock and NOT be enticed away by the deceifullness of sin. God will not cast us out, nobody will snatch us away, IF IF IF we keep following the Lord by being lead by His Spirit. But if we stop following by exercising our free will to do so, eternal security goes out the window. That is the doctrine of demons upon which all are based, the same one given to Eve and the very one that is the subject of every single warning given by the Apostles. DO NOT BE DECEIVED.

I am happy to know you know the LORD and are saved. Let’s pray we persevere, endure, overcome all the way to the very end.

  5. July 17, 2010 8:59 AM

    Also,

Have you stopped sinning? I think not. The bible states that Proverbs 24:9 The thought of foolishness is sin: and the scorner is an abomination to men.

I ask again, are you sinning? Of course you are. Your flesh is NOT saved is it? What did Paul state about his flesh?

Romans 7:14-24 For we know that the law is spiritual: but I am carnal, sold under sin. For that which I do I allow not: for what I would, that do I not; but what I hate, that do I. If then I do that which I would not, I consent unto the law that it is good. Now then it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwelleth in me. For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh,) dwelleth no good thing: for to will is present with me; but how to perform that which is good I find not. For the good that I would I do not: but the evil which I would not, that I do. Now if I do that I would not, it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwelleth in me. I find then a law, that, when I would do good, evil is present with me. For I delight in the law of God after the inward man: But I see another law in my members, warring against the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity to the law of sin which is in my members. O wretched man that I am! who shall deliver me from the body of this death?

Therefore, this is our fight, bringing the flesh under control. But our inner man is saved; sealed; preserved and secure for eternity! Read 1 John 3. Hence, inner man: saved, secure; outer man: flesh not saved; war with flesh.

All of the following are spoken of in the present tense; this is the present condition of each true believer (1) Forgiven (Ro 4:7; 1Jo 2:12). (2) Justified (Ro 5:1,9; Tit 3:7) (4) Reconciled (Ro 5:10). (3) Risen with Christ (Ro 6:3-6; Col 3:1-2). (4) A child of God forever (Ro 8:15; Ga 4:4-7; 1Jo 3:1). (5) Sanctified in Christ (1Co 1:2). (6) New creation (2Co 5:17). (7) Accepted in the beloved (Eph 1:6). (7) Saved (Eph 2:8-9; 2Ti 1:9). (9) Light in the Lord (Eph 5:8). (10) Made fit for Heaven (Col 1:12). (11) Complete in Him (Col 2:10). (12) Citizens of Heaven (Php 3:20). (13) Children of light (1Th 5:5). (14) Elect (1Pe 1:2). (15) Born again (1Pe 1:2,23). (16) Sanctified once for all (Heb 10:10). (17) Perfected forever (Heb 10:14). (18) Passed from death unto life (1Jo 3:14). David Cloud http://www.wayoflife.org

    Pete,

    I forgot I wrote this.

Here’s a few more on eternal security:

John 5:24 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.

1 John 3:14 We know that we have passed from death unto life, because we love the brethren. He that loveth not his brother abideth in death.

Pete, have I “passed from death unto life” or not? 1 John states that “we know”. Do you “know”?

Gen. 3, “yea, hath God said”…

I hear the serpent hissing again.

    A friend,

    Dave

1 Corinthians is not the whole counsel of God and if one wants to pick and choose thru Paul’s writings they can certainly build a doctrine. But even inside 1 Cor, the truth is there for those with eyes to see it. 1 Cor 3 is spun out of context to justify practice of sin and retention of ones salvation. Man has perverted the WORD and created doctrines that tickle flesh. A redeemer comes to those WHO TURN FROM TRANSGRESSION (Isaiah 59:20). If one does not turn from sin, it matters not how religious they are, what church they go to, they are not saved and their prayers are not even heard. One would have to use large sissors and cut out a lot of Scripture to read 1 Corinthians and walk away thinking everyone in that church was saved and it was signed sealed and delivered.

What do you think Jesus was speaking about when He said WOE to those that are nursing babies in Matthew 24 and Luke 21. he wasn’t talking about babies drinking milk. He was speaking woe to those Christians that did not move beyond the basic milk and onto maturity, coming thru the furnace, dying to self and being sanctified.

Paul feared for the early church, the very people he wrote to. He warned them, even calling his ministry one of admonishment (WARNING) in ACTS. He and all the Apostles that contributed to what we call the New Testament, told the early believers to not be deceived by the very thing you now are dismissing. See 1 COR 6:8-10, Col 3:5, Gal 5:18-19, 1 John 3, Eph 5:5, Matthew 7, Luke 6:46 and many more. Jesus said he will say to those that called him LORD, depart from me, I never knew you, you who practiced sin. Peter warned that Paul’s writings would be perverted 2 Peter 3:17-19, the ERROR of the lawless. Paul told us any doctrine that does not conform us to godliness (HELLO that is eternal security) is the false gospel (2 Timothy 4). Jesus said that MANY would worship with their lips but their hearts would be far from him. My bible says we can fall away from truth, we can leave our first love and is very clear that if we practice sin, we have ZERO inheritance in the kingdom of God. Paul had not yet attained to it, he was running his race until the very end. He like us was working out our salvation with fear and trembling. I don’t know your heart but this doctrine is killing people, it is shedding their blood and is doing violence to the TRUTH.

The God you describe is exactly what the enemy wants you to believe. That is the image of the beast. Religious men come with two horns of a lamb (they look and sound religious) yet the speak like a dragon. Don’t be swept away by this flood of lies my friend.

  8. May 8, 2010 5:11 PM

Has anyone read the book of 1 Corinthians? I mean c’mon guys if your gonna convince me that I could lose my salvation you would least have to put the hammer to 1 Corinthians. Convince me I shouldn’t read it because it pertains to people in… East Peoria…not a good book because it’s …bad…or something like that.

WHY did Paul write the letter to the Corinthians? (I used to have fun with Charismaniacs and ask them the model church in the bible. And normally they would pick the Corinthian church!) Paul wrote to the Corinthians because of gross immorality. Check it out:

1 Corinthians 5:1 It is reported commonly that there is fornication among you, and such fornication as is not so much as named among the Gentiles, that one should have his father’s wife.

Needless to say that the members of the Corinthian church were a mess. BUT, did he call them unsaved? Did he show them the must be born again, again? Did Paul say, “you lost it!”

    Nope, not at all.

Paul called them carnal (4 times) verses 1, 3, 4:

1 Corinthians 3:1 And I, brethren, could not speak unto you as unto spiritual, but as unto carnal, even as unto babes in Christ.

Check out that last phrase: “even unto babes in Christ.”

    He said about the Corinthians:

    sanctified (1:2; 6:11)

    ye are washed, justified (6:11)

coming behind in no gift (1:7)

grace and peace unto you (1:3)

always thank God on your behalf (1:4)

    enriched by him (1:5)

the testimony of Christ was confirmed in you (1:6)

shall also confirm you unto the end (1:8)

that you may be blameless (1:8)

    brethren (1:10, 11, 26; 2:1; 3:1; 4:6; 6:5, 6:8; 7:24, 7:29; 8:12; 9:5; 10:1; 11:2, 11:33; 12:1; 14:6…)

    beloved sons (4:14)

ye are wise in Christ (4:10)

    ye are honourable (4:10)

    ye are strong (4:10)

Now ye are full, now ye are rich, ye have reigned as kings without us (4:8)

ye are Christ’s; and Christ is God’s (3:23)

For we are labourers together with God: ye are God’s husbandry, ye are God’s building (3:9)

If any man’s work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire (3:15)

Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you? (3:16, 17; 6:19)

That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God. (2:5)

Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; (2;12)

Sounds like they are saved to me.

    He also said this:

1 Corinthians 3:3 For ye are yet carnal: for whereas there is among you envying, and strife, and divisions, are ye not carnal, and walk as men?

Again, notice what he didn’t say. He didn’t say: “you lost it”.

    But, you say, what about:

1 Corinthians 5:5 To deliver such an one unto Satan for the destruction of the flesh, that the spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord Jesus.

Doesn’t this mean you MAY be saved???

Yes, that is what it says (notice it doesn’t say “maybe”), but what does it mean? The word “may” has several meanings, check out Webster’s 1828 dictionary. In this verse the word “may” may be used either way. Which way is “may” used?

From Webster’s 1828, under the word “may”:

    2. To have physical power; to be able.

Make the most of life you may.

    3. To have moral power; to have liberty, leave, license or permission; to be permitted; to be allowed. A man may do what the laws permit. He may do what is not against decency, propriety or good manners. We may not violate the laws, or the rules of good breeding. I told the servant he might be absent.

Thou mayest be no longer steward. Luke 16.

Also, let’s not turn the bible on it’s head and prove to the contrary. Since God doesn’t lie, and He doesn’t contradict himself, please do not turn this verse into a lie. God plainly states that once a person believes unto salvation he is eternally secure.

Let’s take the case of Lot. Did he sin? Wasn’t it wicked sin? Lot offered his daughters to the Sodomites to do with what they wanted. But God considered Lot and his family saved-they were called righteous. God calls Lot “righteous, just, and godly” in 2 Peter. Why? Just to prove to you that you can’t sin your salvation away. You can’t outsin the grace that keeps you saved-Romans 5. That is why Lot is mentioned in 2 Peter the way he is. That is why NO, I repeat NOT ONE conditional preacher will answer my questions regarding Lot. It kills their pet doctrine. If a bible verse contradicts your doctrinal teaching-get rid of your doctrine.

    Brother Cloud notes:

“Discipline rightly administered by a New Testament church is accompanied by God’s power (1Co 5:4; Mt 18:17-19). Those under church discipline are given over to Satan’s power to bring them to their senses and restore them to Christ and the church. Note that discipline does not affect salvation. To be put out of the church is not to be put out of Christ. The discipline will confirm salvation. If the one being disciplined is saved, he will respond and prove his salvation (Heb 6:9,11; 10:38-39). To say, on the other hand, that church discipline produces salvation or perfects salvation, is strictly contrary to hundreds of plain Scriptures (Tit 3:5-8).”

    Also note:

Hebrews 12:8 But if ye be without chastisement, whereof all are partakers, then are ye bastards, and not sons.

Sooo…if there was ever one that seemed to have “lost it”, wouldn’t Lot be the perfect case? Absolutely. The Corinthians would be another case to prove that you could lose your salvation. But as we see God calls them sanctified and so on.

Jeremiah 23:29 Is not my word like as a fire? saith the LORD; and like a hammer that breaketh the rock in pieces?

Your work is awesome. I think I found this picture on the Christian graphics website, I can’t recall the name right now. Keep up the good work! God’s load isn’t a heavy burden when we trust only in Him and use His strength to see us through. God Bless.

Hello. I was just browsing through google, looking at pictures and I saw the one you used, and immediately recognized, mainly because I’m the one who took it.
It was nice to see someone using my work, and seeing how it’s being used.
And AMEN when it comes to what you said about obedience. So many times I find people making excuses (myself included sometimes) that we’re not capable of what God has called us to. But praises be to Him who did not give us a load to heavy to carry, or one He has not carried Himself.
    God bless!

Denny, You have correctly called out the vast warnings given to us about false teaching and false teachers. We will know them by their fruits. Are they really changing lives? Or are they just making people feel good about their relationship with God, even when they have no relationship with God. You can’t practice sin and know Christ, the Apostle John told us this was impossible. Virtually every popular preacher and TV evangalist is a phony. True teachers and leaders called by God, won’t be very popular and will be reviled by the world and persecuted for righteousness sake. Few of these popular icons are experiencing any of that. That litmus test alone tells me they are fake with the confirmation that their doctrine goes against the truth in the scriptures. They teach perversions and lies that sound nice and Godly but are false. They work for Satan, most unwittingly of course, but they remain under the God sent delusion because they take pleasure in their own unrighteousness (sin). They are blind men leading the blind, both will fall into the pit.

I would encourage you to add your own commentary to your bible verses to provide more color and make the readers experience more than just reading the bible. Put your own emotion and personal experience into your testimony.

    God Bless You

I think you have the right idea, but I have a question for you. I would like to know what your thoughts are about my blog entry about false teachers and false preachers.

I have another three more, if you care to read them also.

Galatians 1:8 But even if we, or an angel from heaven, should preach to you a gospel contrary to what we have preached to you, he is to be accursed! 9 As we have said before, so I say again now, if any man is preaching to you a gospel contrary to what you received, he is to be accursed!

    James 2:1-13

    Thank you for listening,
